The black Gundam answered Holland, "If you will not bring him to me... Then I shall live to my promise..." The black Gundam stretched out his hand and a formed an open palm facing the three. A dark ball of energy formed from it, and the hand grasped it forming a blade. It continued saying, "If you wish for your civilians to live to see tommorow, you will be offered your last chance to bring the Warrior to me..."...

"Ah son of a b*tch" Diane said drawing here two 9.1 meter anti-ship swords and Holland and Luna drew there beam sabers. Unlike Holland and Luna, Diane could fire almost every weapon she had. Everything from her 30mm 6-barrel Gatling machine gun to her 115mm railguns and 105mm cannons, she was a walking armoury.

As the shots came towards the black Gundam, it lifted up its left arm and the shots merely bounced off as if they were nothing. It made a swipe and collided with Holland's beam saber and made several strikes after that. It managed to push Holland back until Luna managed to dive towards the black Gundam. As if it could see behind itself, the black mobile suit jumped into the air and began floating. It dispersed the blade and this time formed a large ball of energy from its hands and fired down on the three...

Holland and Luna got back far enough that the blast impacted the ground sending the two flying back a short distance, which they quickly recovered. Diane though with her superior speed got away from the blast. She put one sword away and pulled out her beam boomerang and threw it and the black suit. she then fired a full volly from all her weapons before they regrouped "Attack pattern delta four two seven" Diane shouted as she took command. The three then surround the suit on three sides and began circling it before jumping at it fast all three about to slash with there melee weapons.

The black Gundam saw the boomerang coming its way and grasped hold of it. As soon as the volley of shots came towards it, the black Gundam threw the boomerang in the direction of Diane's Gundam and began straffing to the right to dodge the shots. It then saw their attack pattern, planning to attack it from all sides. As they dove in for the attack, the black Gundam jumped into the air avoiding the strike and flew back a good distance from the three. As it jumped away, the black Gundam was getting closer to the civilian ship. It would find the "Warrior of Terra" if it meant destroying innocents in the process...

On board

Jacob, Rolf and Roland were now on the ship hoping to reach Sri Lanka. The three were all disguised as if they were civilians from the Middle East, thus attracting no attention from the crowd. But this did not save them from conflict, as the black Gundam began advancing towards them. As the black Gundam landed towards the ship with a thud, Jacob asked, "What are-" But Prime Minister Gregors hushed him. Jacob had to remember he was wearing woman's clothing and had to appear as such.
Rolf Gregors assured him though, "The Twilight Phoenix has proven to be quite capable of defending us. I am sure that they will stop it from finding us." All they could do though, was wait for the battle to progress and hope for their safety...

"OH no your not going any were" Diane said as she grabbed the boomerang and put it back on her shield. She hit the accelerator and went full speed slamming into the black gundam shield first send it flying. Her, Holland and Luna then took a defensive formation to defend the ship.

"Send up the signal flare, break radio silence in thirty seconds!" ordered Hall. "We will begin our assault on Diego!" The signal would just be visible over the horizon, and as soon as it disappeared, the subs would receive orders to fire. Albatross units began to warm up their engines. They would swoop in and wipe out the defenders in the initial confusion, and marines would follow. Then, it was in the Great White's hands. "Commence attack! All weapons free!!" With that, the sea exploded as IMMDs took to the sky. Carriers began launching their Albatrosses. The primary targets were the static defenses, harbor, and MS hangers...

"OH no your not going any were" Diane said as she grabbed the boomerang and put it back on her shield. She hit the accelerator and went full speed slamming into the black gundam shield first send it flying. Her, Holland and Luna then took a defensive formation to defend the ship.

The black Gundam was sent flying, but it was in its favor. It flew high up into the air again and fired another giant wave of enegry. This blast knocked knocked the two opposing Gundams to their feet, but didn't likely do any damage since they were not too close to the blast. The black Gundam was now hovering above the civilian ship and had balls of energy forming from its hands. It remained hovering their as if to imply it would spare the civilians if given what it was searching for...

The three men checked above them and saw the black Gundam was almost ready to destroy the civilian ship. Most of the people on board were indeed frightened and began rushing to the edges of the ship if worst came to worst. Rolf, Roland and Jacob were now a safe distance from the crowd to begin discussing among themselves. Jacob stated, "I must join in the battle! Those three wont stand a chance against that thing!"
Rolf seemed taken aback by this statment and said, "My lord, do not be so foolish! I know you wish to assist those who assist us as well, but we cannot let their support be in vain!"
Jacob told him, "I won't let it be so Rolf, I will pilot the Gundam I stole and force that thing away from us! We both clearly have the same capabilities, so it shouldn't be too hard to attack him!"
Rolf warned, "But my lord, even if you do come back alive, you run the risk of losing your cover!"
Jacob reassured the Prime Minister, "I will keep it secret. I won't allow anyone to realize who I truly am." and ran off to his Gundam without any approval from the two men.
Rolf Gregors told Roland, "I am sorry, I must stop him." and ran off in hopes to catch up with Jacob...

Diego Garcia was rocked away when the scopes suddenly picked up enemy signals just over the horizon. Turrents on the atoll were activated and pilots raced to their mobile suits. The first wave was approaching... and then split. Jaws dropped. "IMMD!!" yelled the base commander, as the signals split again. Fire rained down all over the base, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Hangers collapsed on top of mobile suits, and coastal guns were wiped out before even firing a shot. Ships were scrambling to get out of the harbor, but torpedo fire held them back - forward Leatherbacks were in position and unchallenged. A few mobile suits struggled to get onto the field and were immediately raked from above. The big guns from Hall's ships were coming into range. He wasn't going to hold anything back - he was going to make this mercifully quick.

Roland continued to watch the Gundam hovering over the ship.

"This is republic work, I know it when I see it," he thought. "How was it able to find us? If their were no tracking devices on the Gundam Jacob stole, then how did get here? Unless there is some sort of bond between them, but that is impossible."

OOC: Sorry for the late post, my internet was being difficult.

IC: Jaron heard Star's comment about the strange Gundam attacking. It wasn't harming them for the most part, but Jaron wasn't ready to fight such a monster. He answered, "I'll be following you Miss Lynde." and ran towards his Gemini unit. Thankfully the Twilight Phoenix was kind enough to repair and refuel it for another flight. As Jaron's Gemini activated, he went behind Star and said, "Lead the way."

Jacob was running towards the tarp covered Gundams and found the one he stole and began undoing an edge of it. He soon formed a gap in the tarp wide enough for him to squeeze through and head for the Gundam cockpit. But before he could, Rolf ran up towards him and said, "Lord Jacob! Please don't go out there! You are putting your life in danger if you go out to fight that thing!"

Jacob answered him, "What am I to do then Rolf? Am I to simply allow the ones who helped us handle the situation on their own? I cannot simply sit back and let this happen!"

Rolf Gregors knew this to be well within Jacob's character. He would never let the kindness of anyone go unpaid without his gratitude. Now, he wanted to help Twilight Phoenix by saving the three mobile suits from destruction while running the risk of being destroyed by what looked like his equal.

Rolf knew he could not stop Jacob, but threw him a locket up to him. Jacob caught the locket and opened it to see the face of his mother Sonja Thorstein. Rolf told him, "If I cannot stop you, then at least promise by your mother's honor you will return in safety."

Jacob nodded and told him, "I will Mr. Gregors. I will return alive and save the Twilight Phoenix!" He went under the tarp and crawled towards the cockpit.

He pressed his hand on the hand scanner and the computer responded, "Terran Type Accepted." The cockpit opened and Jacob sat in the seat. Once Jacob began battle, he could only hope his locket or hijab would not interfere in combat...

"What the hell is with this guy?" Luna asked as the three headed for the civilian ship as fast as possible. Then help arrived in the form of Jaron, star and Jacob "More people, perfect he is out numbered and out gunned" Holland said as the three suits joined the battle. Six on one was easily a victory scenario, they just needed to take it out. Diane fired a salvo from her weapons at the black gundam, Holland and Luna fired there beam carbines as well, they were not only trying to hit it but trying to force it away from the civilian ship.

As Jacob's Gundam rose from the ship, the black Gundam backed away from the civilian ship and fired waves of energy in the direction of the shots heading for it. What shots it couldn't destroy, it raised its left arm and blocked them. It began to back away while Jacob continued towards it...

Soon Jacob and the black Gundam were a good distance from the five other Gundams and stared down each other over the river. The black Gundam asked Jacob, "So you are the one who pilots Terra?" Jacob felt the need to answer, but the lack of a voice transmission system reminded him that it wasn't possible to speak. But the black Gundam told him, "Have you not learned anything of your power? Terra responds to your movements and all your thouhts."
Jacob asked in slight confusion, "What do you mean? What is Terra?" and realized that his transmission reached out to the black Gundam. It was right, it responded to almost everything Jacob did while in the cockpit.
The black Gundam answered, "Terra is a grand weapon that is destined for great things. In the hands of one such as yourself, it is the ultimate weapon..."
Jacob could not understand what the black Gundam was saying and asked, "Great things? Who are you and what are you talking about?"
The black Gundam answered, "I am Hades, also destined for great things. Our destiny is great, but not to be discussed in the ears of those so unworthy. If you wish to accomplish these, follow me and I will reveal what I have planned..."
Jacob answered, "I won't! I came here to protect my friends and I won't abandon them!"
The black Gundam said, "Very well then. Perhaps we shall discuss this another time..." and formed balls of energy from its hands and fired in both directions, then created a giant one headed for the civilian ship. Jacob would have focused on the black Gundam, but did not want to let the ship be destroyed. He flew at full speed towards the ship and as soon as he turned around, he fired a wave of energy towards the wave headed for the ship. The result was an explosion in mid-air that rocked the ship, but did not much to harm it...

star had ran out of the hanger and grabbing Jarons gemini launched herself into the air angling towards the harbour. ((i am assuming there where no erviving flight platforms from the invasion please correct if wrong)) she had planned to drop themselves on the deck of the ship but that was nolonger possable with the Black Gundam standing guard. she insted placed Jaron on the ground near Holland Luna and the new pilot whome she didn't know yet before turning to face the black gundam from her position above them her cannon drawn and charged.

then the Terra launched from the transport and moved into position alongside them... but that wasn't the most suprising thing... the suprising thing was the fact that she knew it was the Terra because it was showing up on her scanns as a repulic suit with compleat details the glanced ober at the black one... "hades? Terra? what the hell" she muttered to herself something was going on here something very strange.

she opend her comms to Jaron holland Luna and the other Phoenix Pilot "i think we have a problem. those are republic suits! both of them! my scanners are picking up there signitures and there both Republic!" the x1003 and x1005 to be exact wich was even weider cause she had the x1001... she knew the x1002 had been deployed but couldn't remember the pilots name off hand... she didn't even know they went all the way up to 5... so where was the x1004? that was an interesting question. that and why was the Terra launching from a civilian ship?

Rolf could only sigh a breath of relief as the black Gundam was now gone. Jacob didn't have to face such a hard fight after all, and was now heading back for the launch pad it came out of. There, Rolf would be able to see Jacob again...

Marines waded ashore and the final resistance was put to rest. The Union fleet surrounded the occupied atoll. The Great White lumbered into view and launched a dinghy which hurried to shore. Hall had given Simms twenty minutes to put his plan into action. Any longer and India would be able to catch them. While Union mobile suits salvaged whatever Terran equipment they could, the crew came ashore and went straight to the occupied control center. Thomas was already booting his laptop as he was escorted inside.

"Okay, boys, let's hook it up!" he said cheerily, plugging his laptop into the main console. "Passwords?" One of the soldiers handed him a logbook which contained the system's documentation. "Beautiful, now then, let's see what I have access to..." Thomas began pounding away, ignoring the sporadic bursts of gunfire from outside and within the building. A few Terran stragglers were still holding out, it seemed. "Oh man... you've got to be kidding me..." he said.

"There's a problem?" sulked his escort. "So it won't work?"

"Oh no, no nononono, my friend," said Thomas, flipping some switches on the console. "Quite the contrary. I have EVERYTHING." He brought up a shell and began keying commands. "I have complete access to the Terran network. I can send this exploit worldwide from right here."

"You're serious?!"

"Right... so what happens is... the Terrans have a messaging protocol designed to spread information from a central location quickly... sort of an... ad-hoc multicast." Thomas explained things to the guards as he keyed everything in. "It passes critical communications to a handful mobile suits on the lines, the suits spread the info to neighbors, and so on until everyone has it... it saves time and bandwidth at the center. Well, there's a flaw in their network stack that lets me overwrite memory with my own malicious program... which has them relay the message... and then self-destruct."

"And since you're here, you don't even have to pretend to be their base to do the attack... since you ARE the base!"

"You bet," said Thomas. "Of course, how much of their military is affected will depend a lot on how many Terran suits are currently active, whether their systems are still vulnerable... who knows. But I guess, in the next few days, we'll find out." And with that, he hit enter. The signal was beamed out worldwide to active Terran squadrons from the Patagonia to the Parthenon.

"... And... that's it?"

"That's it," said Thomas. "Now, we need a way out of here. I can get a secure line with Suez base, right? Right. So let's see if there are friendlies still on the other end." He took hold of a radio receiver and opened a channel. "Suez, this is Diego... current status - clear skies, with a gentle breeze coming from the south Pacific. "Range weapons don't seem to work, if we have any chance at taking it out it must be at melee" Holland said to every one "Any ideas?" Diane asked as she stood ready with both swords ready to be used. Holland and Luna drew one saber each while keeping there range weapon in the other hand, the black gundam probably couldn't block point blank range shots so they had a chance there. Dianes power house of a suit on the other hand had a massive array of fire power she could fire at close range.

she launched into the air and streaked towards the boat... she was going to get some answers. she landed a little more roughly on the deck then was nessicary saking the boat just a little and scareing dosens of people. she stalked over to where she could see that the Terra was being hidden.

she had to admire the republic's handy wok it was an impressive machie... it had simmalaritys with the Darkstar wich was to be expected considering they where the same series but its distinct diffrences made all the more impressive. the lack of outward weapons exept for the beam rifle was the most desterbing part onsidering to power it had shown.

the started asking around to see if anyone knew where the pilot was hopeing to get some answers out of him but no one seemed to know or to have seen anyone wich was stranger cause people in flight suits stand out. she should know she's worn one oftan enough. she continued searching the ship her common cloths blending with the rest of the passangers and hair once again hidden under her hat and sunglasses once again obscuring her face

the plans had been set capture of the scandanavian colony was the objective

the main group would hold off any defending forces while transports full of marines and tanks along with tong and the 2 squads of Leo's the terran space mobile suit made a forced entrance through the hangers, but if the dammage to the station became to extenive before the scandinavians surenderd they had autherization to destroy it. the loss of the station would be regretable because replaceing it would be expencive and the republic was already strained with the cost of the war on earth, but a statement had to be made they had to be shown that not only would earth be united underterran rule but all of humanity where ever it lived.

the fleat began its trek from where it was stationed behind the moon haveing resuplied from the base's there. it was time for the scandanaviens to knoe fear the attack on helsinki would be a minor bug bite compaied to the loss of an entire colony.

"They might be in a battle, or the station is out, or it didn't go though..." said Thomas, keying a few commands. "Well, I can... grab the channel keys from this system and carry them with me... so if anything comes up in transit, at least we'll know."

"Right. I guess the Admiral is just going to have us sail towards the Horn, then?"

"Probably. If he still wants to try a run up through Suez, we need to go in that direction, anyway." Thomas closed his laptop and went to the Terran main console one last time with a flash drive. "We might have to pound our way through... so... one last present for the Terran network. We've sent out our little mobile suit destructor, now let's go for the bases themselves. This should make communications hairy for a few days. As they say... the early worm gets the packets!" He smiled gleefully as he fired off his last attack, and then the crew vacated the building.

Most of the fleet had already begun sailing west. Only a few carriers hauling broken Gemini and Aries units onboard remained. They would provide backup parts, and in extreme cases, could replace fallen Union suits. It would take a bit of reprogramming to get them up to par first, which was Thomas's job once they were at sea. "Have them transfer the source to me on Great White!" he called.

The broken remains of Diego Garcia were abandoned and the Union remnants disappeared once again into the blue of the Indian Ocean... it would be another day before they reached Africa or the middle east, wherever they ended up turning...

the started asking around to see if anyone knew where the pilot was hopeing to get some answers out of him but no one seemed to know or to have seen anyone wich was stranger cause people in flight suits stand out. she should know she's worn one oftan enough. she continued searching the ship her common cloths blending with the rest of the passangers and hair once again hidden under her hat and sunglasses once again obscuring her face

As Star asked around for who the pilot was, she eventually came across the two Prime Ministers: Rolf Gregors and Roland Fespute. They had to stay outside Jacob's room to make sure he wouldn't be found. As she came over to them and asked about the pilot, Rolf answered, "No I am afraid not. What business would you have with him anyway?"

"Jesus, this thing's huge!"

"Are these claws? What on earth would it need claws for?"

"Hey, it looks like you dock a mobile suit up here!"

The pilots had made their way into the Great White's "occupied" deck and were checking out the monstruous vehicle inside. Based on the markings, it was an experimental unit. The label "Core 02" was painted on in blocky letters in various places, as were a plethora of "Danger!" notices and the occasional nuclear symbol.

"This thing in the front is an energy cannon!" exclaimed Adam. "Oh man, so many guns on here... I want it ^_^"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!!" Mervin came rushing into the hanger. Nelson and Adam were admiring the cannon. Laku, meanwhile, had managed to climb up to the top of the unit and was investigating the docking port. "There's not enough lead to block everything coming out of that! And you, Moloti, what the hell? Get down from there!"

"Chief, you've really been holding out on us!" said Adam. "First the ship and now this!"

"What exactly is it, anyway?" asked Nelson.

"This..." sighed Mervin, "is a Core Osprey. It's a complete combat system in one massive package. You stick a mobile suit in the top and the pilot controls everything."

"No way!" said Laku. "And it flies, right?"

"Indeed. Any direction you want, on a dime. Fast, too. Big guns. It can do everything except dissipate its own heat."

"Uh huh... and that's a problem why?" asked Adam.

"It's powered by a nuclear reactor," said Mervin, "and when that reactor overheats, the reaction can no longer be controlled. At that point you're flying a nuclear bomb."

"That's a... slight problem."

"And how does one control all this?" asked Nelson. "It looks like it can engage enemies at all angles and directions, but doesn't that require impossible awareness?"

"Normally, yes, but we have a means to account for it," said Mervin. "You might know what it is." Nelson recognized he meant the Beta Feedback System. Laku and Adam looked at him, confused, but remained silent. "So, now that that's done, let's move along." He ushered them out. Laku and Adam headed down the hall, but he held Nelson back. "Speaking of the system... you been having headaches lately?"

"I... I guess," said Nelson. "I mean, they're not as bad as when I first started. Little focused pangs, I guess, kinda sharp."

"And how was your last battle, you were okay using it?"

"Yeah, it felt a lot less oppressive," Neson answered. "Like I was having an easier time managing it. Then again, I wasn't fighting as insanely as I was against that Gundam, so perhaps I just didn't push it."

"I see..." said Mervin. "So... can you tell me what Miz Moloti was wearing a moment ago?"

"Huh?" asked Nelson. "What does that have to do with anything? And do you really think I remem..."

"Humor me."

"Okay... well shoot. She was in uniform, I guess, although the top button wasn't done and it wasn't fully tucked in on her left... she had her unit insignia on her left breast pocket, which is kind of weird, since it normally goes up on the collar... her right shoelace was kinda loose... how the hell do I know this?"

Mervin smiled. "It seems like that system might not be destroying your brian after all," he said, as he walked down the hall. Nelson just stared at him and realized that, throughout his entire recollection, there'd been a dull pain pinging the back of his head.

Representative Konrad Mogens was taken aback at what was happening. The Republic was taking its war into space and taking colonies. If they were not stopped here, the Republic would control all of space, and the war would essentially be over resulting in Republic victory. His advisor questioned, "What are your plans sir? We have 29 minutes before Republic forces attack."
Konrad thought this out for a few seconds and answered, "We must regroup with our brothers in Midgard. Only with our forces combined there, will we have a fighting chance."
His advisor questioned, "You mean abandon this place sir? But what about the civilian populace?"
The Representative assured, "We must leave them here for now. The Republic has never destroyed a space colony before, and I believe they are not changing our tactics with this one. Once we reach Midgard, we can contact the Earth and fight back."
His advisor accepted, "Very well then..."
The Representative turned to face his comm. computer and said, "Now, I must make the contact."
About 4 minutes later, Representative Konrad Mogens was on the intercom with Commander Gothart. He told him, "This is Representative Konrad Mogens speaking on behalf of the people of Scandinavian Colony Asgard. We hereby accept your terms for surrender and are preparing our ships for boarding." As soon as the ten Skidbladnirs were launched, they prepared a flight formation and Konrad gave the order, "Skidbladnir's 4 and 5, maintain your position and hold off the Republic as long as possible! Use all Einherjars to keep the Republic from advancing!" As soon as the order was recieved, 2 Skidbladnirs were averting from their brothers and began attacking the Republic fleet. "All cannons concentrate fire on one carrier at a time! Do not let them make an advance!" With that order, the four Skidbladnirs fired all of their cannons on one of the carriers. Now the Republic had 80 Einherjars and 2 Skidbladnirs to fight off before they could take the colony. While the fighting continued, the 3 other Skidbladnir's began to make their escape to Midgard...

It was utter chaos. From the sound of it, units worldwide were going down - mostly old ones, but every now and then they made out model numbers for newer machines. But these were few and far between. In any case, a lot of bases were suddenly finding themselves vulnerable.

"Inform the fleet," said Simms.

Ship by ship, cheers went up as crews heard the news. From the bridge of his flagship, Hall clenched his fist. "That'll do it!" he cried. "It'll be hours until they can reorganize this mess! Possibly days! I think it is safe to proceed into the Red Sea without hearing from Suez. It could be a rough approach, so we'll need to issue a general combat alert once we near the mouth..." The fleet turned slightly north and began its approach.

The true battle between the Republic and the Scandinavian Colony had begun. The crewman on Skidbladnir 4 confirmed, "Captain! One Terran Carrier has been destroyed!"
The Captain answered, "Good! Keep it up! Don't let the Republic get within a yard of Asgard!" The fighting intensified as the Einherjar's formed ranks and began attacking the Terran carriers and enemy mobile suits. The Captain of Skidbladnir 4 told his assisting Skidbladnir Captain, "Prepare for a combined Alpha Strike! Aim all cannons 45 degrees starboard!"
She confirmed, "Affirmative Captain!" As the carriers charged their cannons, they fired into the Terran fleet in hopes of destroying another Terran Carrier. Even if they did, their victory would not be long lived...
A radar watcher reported, "Captain! We have an enemy mobile suit charging at us breaking through the Einherjar formations!"
The Captain questioned, "What the hell is it?"
The crewman answered, "It cannot be identified sir! It- It's another Beta Mobile Suit!"
The Captain cursed, "Damn it! We already have trouble with those on Earth! Fire turrets on that thing now!" As the turrets attempted to hit the enemy mobile suit, Skidbladnir 4 took massive damage from the Jade Panther's first swipe. The ship was rocked and alert signals flashed through the ship's rooms.
As the crew recovered itself, a crewman reported, "Captain! That strike has severly weakened us! Shields are down to 40%!"
The Captain ordered, "Damn those Terrans! Keep firing! We have to take that thing down!" The ships turrets continued to fire on the Jade Panther in hopes of destroying it. As the fighting continued between the Einherjar's and the enemy mobile suits, the fighting was not in fave of the Einherjars as Tong took out a dozen of them at the very least on his first strike alone.
The Captain of Skidbladnir 5 was asked, "Captain, what are your orders?"
She answered them, "Maintain our position and try to take out that mobile suit! It's causing us more problems then we can handle! Be sure to avoid hitting Skidbladnir 4!"
The radar watchman questioned, "Can we really hope to hold them off Captain?"
The Captain answered, "We must do so whether we survive or not, we have to buy the Lord Representative enough time to reach Midgard!"

Skidbladnir 4 was under heavy fire and was soon to meet its final moments. A crewman stated, "Captain! That mobile suit is attacking again!"
"Aim all turrets at that thing! Destroy it now!!!" The Captain ordered. As the turrets fired at the mobile suit, they were soon staring into the eyes of their destruction. The Jade Panther fired into the center of the ship. The crewman shouted, "CAPTAIN! ALL SHIELDS ARE DOWN! ENERGY STABILIZERS CAN'T HOLD OUT!"
The Captain ordered, "GIVE THE ORDER TO EVACUATE! WE MUST GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" The crewman of the Skidbladnir 4 began to run towards the escape ships and hoped to avoid the hand of death. As the crew evacutated, only four ships managed to get out of the explosion without the Captain surviving.

The crewman of Skidbladnir 5 stated, "Captain! Skidbladnir 4 is down!"
The Captain ordered, "Maintain our position! Use all cannon energy to focus Alpha Strikes on the Terran Carriers!" The Skidbladnir fired all of its cannons on the Terran Carriers. The Scandinavians were not going down without a fight...

The three Skidbladnirs making their escape to Midgard felt safe for a while, but that feeling was soon gone. A crewman on Skidbladnir 1 stated, "Lord Representative! Enemy mobile suits are headed our way!"
Representative Mogens answered, "Focus our turret fire on them! Use all secondary cannons to defend ourselves! We must reach Midgard!"

The agent answered, "Certainly. Please follow me." The two men walked off towards a corner of the ship where people were still not walking. Rolf had to check around him to ensure the woman who met him earlier wouldn't hear anything they had to discuss.
Rolf asked the agent, "What are we to do now? The civilians now know that the ship is carrying a Republic mobile suit and another one has recently landed."
The agent answered, "We must lie low. Walk among the crowd as if nothing happened."
Prime Minister Gregors questioned, "Should we take any precautions to make sure we are not discovered?"
The agent told him, "Keep the pilot of your gundam hidden. We cannot let him be discovered by Republic forces if they are hidden amongst us."
Rolf asked him, "How long will it be before our next stop?"
The agent gave the answer, "We will arrive in the city of Dawwah in a couple of hours. These civilians will be unable to interfere with the Gundam, just ensure it doesn't fall into the hands of the Terrans."
Rolf confirmed, "Understood. But both the pilot and the Gundam must be protected. Hopefully we can continue our voyage without any further distractions..."

"How many ships are there?" Hall had been shaken from his quarters by the sudden alarms which sounded throughout his vessel.

"Just one, sir!" reported an operator. "It's heading northeast off the Yemeni coast. It looks like a civilian vessel, but we've picked up mobile suits with Terran IFFs! TR-X series!"

"Then they're... Gundams?!" cried Hall. "Not good, our paths will cross if this continues... but we have to enter the Gulf to reach Suez!!"

"Should we alter course, sir? We could land in Somalia..."

"It's too risky with Mogadishu Base nearby... we'd need to get farther north or south to bypass it!" Hall thought for a moment. "Where's the Great White?"

"It's leading the right group, farthest north."

"Out of all of us, it has the best chance of holding them back and surviving," Hall mused. "Tell Simms he is to break off and intercept the ship! The rest of the fleet will continue into the Gulf."

Alarms sounded likewise on the Great White. Simms ran into the bridge and quickly took his seat. "Gimbley, enemy status?" he asked.

"Single vessel, fifteen miles north of our current position," replied Gimbley, one of the bridge operators. "It looks like a civilian transport, but reports indicate it has Terran Gundams."

"Multiple Gundams, and Hall expects us to fight them alone?" asked Simms in dismay. "We're still not used to operating this yet... go to full combat alert! Prepare Great White for takeoff!"

Nelson, Laku, and Adam ran down the corridor towards the hanger. "They found us?" yelled Adam. "Damn it!"

The rear engines roared as the ship raised itself out of the water and into the sky. It ascended slowly as it accelerated to combat speed. "Distance to vessel, thirteen miles!" reported Gimbley. "It still hasn't deviated from its path!"

"Sirius will stay behind and defend the ship from the forward deck. Have Allblack and Moloti advance from the air," ordered Simms. "Remember, they may be using the civilian vessel as a shield. They are not to attack except in defense, and try not to damage the ship. Rian!"

"Mobile suits, proceed to catapult one!" she said. "Dingo, Sirius unit, please launch!" Adam's mobile suit rose up the lift to the deck, but he instantly jumped over to the second catapult deck. Since the Core was in that hanger, to catapult wasn't being used, and he could use it as his defensive platform.

"Dingo, Moloti unit, please launch!" It was Laku's turn. As soon as she was on the deck, the catapult shot forward and she was airborne. She hit her thrusters immediately and was off.

"X-2 Rangipapa, Allblack unit, please launch!" Nelson gripped the controls and was pushed forward. His flight pack powered up and he, too, was in the sky.

she had spent another hour going over the recordings in addition to the several she had spent roaming the ship looking for the pilot wich had only gotten her the one lead that had so far went no where. well there was still time it would take another day to get to there destination.

Stars scanners beeped suddenly registering the aproach of another ship. the computer running through the database trying to find a match "Unknown Vessal. As Rolf and the agent were speaking, the agent's portable radar was now beeping. He pulled it out to see who was around and told Rolf, "We're picking up two mobile suits heading in our direction. They are ten miles away from here."
Rolf asked them, "What are their signatures?"
The agent told him, "According to this, the signatures are... the Oceanic Union." Rolf could not understand this. What were Oceanic Union mobile suits doing so far away from their lands? Even from Sri Lanka this was a far way away. Hopefully they were not about to engage them in battle.
He told the agent, "Whatever they are doing out here, this is our only hope of making contact with them. We must await for their arrival."
This would have gone peacefully, but as soon as the two men saw the Darkstar launch, their hopes for a peaceful encouter were not ensured. Rolf cursed, "Damn it. If only we could have done something about the Darkstar pilot."
The agent asked, "What do you propose we do?"
Rolf answered, "We must launch Terra. Jacob will be able to stop it from attacking the Oceanic Union mobile suits." This was what Rolf told the agent as he went to get Jacob. Hopefully, he would be available for combat by now...

A signal broke off from the unknown ship and flew south at combat speed. "Enemy mobile suit approaching!" announced Gimbley. "It will intercept our units in one minute, approximately three miles from the ship!"

"It's hostile!!" yelled Simms. "We'll move in to help them. If the enemy is a Gundam-type, then it'll take all we have!" The Great White surged forward. They had six or seven miles to make up and no time to do it.

Nelson's computer beeped. One enemy signal... TR-X unknown, and closing fast! Was this one going to be like the Jade Panther? He couldn't take any chances with this one... he had to take it down before the second one launched. He knew Laku would be terribly outmatched in a prolonged fight. "Laku, bank up and leave this guy to me!" said Nelson. "If you get an opening, take it."

"Roger!" she replied, breaking away from Nelson's unit. 'Does he have some sort of plan, or is he...?'

No time to second guess this. He keyed 'beta' into his console and, accepting the initial shock of the system's initialization, gritted his teeth and drew his beam rifle. "All right, Terran, let's see your moves!"

Rolf entered Jacob's room and saw he was well up on his feet thankfully. Jacob turned towards Rolf and asked, "Rolf, what happened?"
Rolf explained, "You were exhausted from piloting the Gundam my lord, but I am afraid that this time you will be needed to stop a battle."
Jacob questioned, "What is it?"
Rolf grabbed his hand and said, "Please follow me, I'll tell you on the way to your Gundam." Rolf and Jacob ran down to the mobile suit hangar and Rolf told him on the way, "You see my lord, the Twilight Phoenix has detected Oceanic Union mobile suits enrout to our position. For what reasons this is happening we cannot confirm, but we fear that we may have an unneccessary battle with them."
Jacob asked, "Why? What is happening?"
Rolf answered, "A Republic mobile suit has launched and is on its way to engage them. We need you to stop it."
Jacob accepted saying, "Very well, this shouldn't be too dificult."
Rolf confirmed, "Yes, but be certain to avoid attacking the Oceanic mobile suits. There is a good chance the Union suits may see you as an enemy, but you should not engage combat with them."
Jacob opened his mobile suit and assured, "I'll be certain to stop it." And went into the cockpit. Soon, Terra would be launching into the fray...

Weapons control, load launchers one through four with IMMD. If the ship tries anything funny, we will attack this Captain Lynde."

Laku turned north and left the standoff. The Republic suit made no effort to chase. She wanted to believe that these were actually allies, but... She tuned her own radio to international frequencies. "Unknown vessel, can you hear me?" she called. "You have been identified as a Republic carrier by the HMAS Great White of the Oceanic Union Successor Fleet." She spotted the craft over the horizon and approached slowly with her gun still drawn. "We're happy that your mobile suit prefers talking to fighting, but be advised that our surrender is not an option."

"Come on Rolf, this is our chance to contact the Oceanic Union," Roland said enthusiasticly.

So he draged Rolf to the bridge.

"What can I help you with?" the captain asked.

then the radio sent out a message..........

"Unknown vessel, can you hear me?" she called. You have been identified as a Republic carrier by the HMAS Great White of the Oceanic Union Successor Fleet. We're happy that your mobile suit prefers talking to fighting, but be advised that our surrender is not an option."

"We need to use the radio, just steer into their line of sight." he explaned, then he and Rolf went into the radio room.

He then responded on the same frequencey.....

"Republic carrier? This is an unarmed passenger liner! Are intentions, arn't hostile, I repeat, are intentions are not hostile! We in fact are carrying diplomats to your nation."

"Republic carrier? This is an unarmed passenger liner! Are intentions, arn't hostile, I repeat, are intentions are not hostile! We in fact are carrying diplomats to your nation."

"Captain!" radioed Laku. "Did you get that? They claim to be diplomats!"

"From where?!" Simms stood by Rian's console and thought long and hard. This was getting more bizarre by the moment, but at least it looked like an armed response wouldn't be necessary. Republic carrier was a long shot for that type of ship, yes, but what were they to expect when Republic mobile suits were coming out of it? But Lynde had said, straight up, that she was a traitor. So was she helping these guys? Which would mean they were probably from...

"I think she's telling the truth, sir," radioed Nelson, lowering his gun. "I don't think someone flying a machine that strong would take a shot at their own pride like that, unless it was true."

"I can't place their accent, but it's definitely European," Laku continued. "Perhaps they're responding to the Representative's call? If they are, we should definitely accommodate them."

Simms thought a bit more. Perhaps they were trying to occupy the ship? But then, why only send a single pilot? Then... maybe if they went to meet the "diplomats," the "passengers" would attack? After all, the nation had fallen, didn't they know that? Too many possibilities. "I still don't feel entirely comfortable with this, but none of this is going to make any sense unless we sit down and talk it out. Allblack, escort Miss Lynde to the ship." He brought up an internal channel. "Chief Harris, prepare to accept unknown TR-X in hanger one."

"Is that a joke?" he asked.

"Just get over there with some guards," said Simms. "I'll join you shortly." He turned back to the console. "Moloti, see if you can land over there while we fly over... you'll need to be our envoy for ten minutes." He closed the channel and walked out of the bridge. If he was wrong, they were in big trouble.

Laku gingerly approached the deck and made as soft a landing as she could. The ship only swayed slightly. She zoomed in her cameras to observe the behavior on the deck. Men, women, and children were starting to crowd around her suit curiously. They looked more tattered than threatening. From the cabin, a few men in suits emerged. Definitely European. Feeling more comfortable, she opened her hatch and climbed out. She breathed the fresh sea air and relaxed. Her hair billowed in the wind as she descended a line down to the deck.

Simms breathed a sigh of relief. "All right, then. Tell them we'll be there in ten minutes, and until then, Moloti can handle some introductions." They weren't out of the woods yet, but things were definitely looking up. Next on the agenda was the Terran Gundam... Nelson and Star were approaching. Nelson hadn't turned off the system yet. He remained behind the Darkstar as the ship came into view. "You see the hatch, Captain Lynde?" he asked. "We're clear to land. It's not the most spacious hanger in the world, but it's big enough."

On the liner, Laku had hit the deck and approached the men who had come out to meet her. A few of them were staring... 'I guess they've never seen a Polynesian girl before ^_^' she thought. She walked up to them and smiled good-naturedly. "So... I guess... take me to your leader?"

"It's genetic mods or something, I thought, doesn't Terra control that technology?" "Probably afraid that a regular guy can kick their ass if he wants." Nelson just sighed and followed her.

Simms heard her query, so both he and Mervin turned to greet her. He held out his hand. "I'm the Captain of this vessel, my name's Cornell Simms. You'll have to excuse us, this is the first contact we've had with the outside world for a few days, so we don't have any intelligence on runaway Terrans."

Thomas had crawled into the hanger and was tiptoeing towards the Darkstar with a big grin on his face, cracking his fingers. His eyes caught Mervin's. Mervin shot him a dirty look, as if to say, "Stay away from that." Thomas' face fell and he back away just as slowly as he'd come in.

Rolf breathed a sigh of releif as he heard the transmission confirm the battle would not take place. He and Jacob followed Roland to the deck and awaited for the Union member. Rolf told Jacob on their way down, "Act normally now. We do not yet know if we are completely safe from Terran threat. If worst should come to worst, make a run for the Gundam immeadietly." Jacob nodded in confirmation, knowing he should not speak. He still wore the hijab he was assigned to wear, but this was the only cover he would have. If anyone heard his voice, there was a good chance any Terran agents would report him.
Jacob stood back from the two Prime Ministers, but was still a good distance enought to hear the conversation. As Laku stepped out to meet the crowd, Rolf stepped forward stretching out his hand greeting, "Greetings, I am Prime Minister Rolf Gregors, and this is Prime Minister Roland Fespute. Marcus' trick had worked they had gotten behind the lines and reasonably close to the ships before they were detected he might have only had 9 of his 12 squad members left but at this range and un oposed by namy Mobile suits it would be enough. they doged fore and imegiatly landed on the rear most ship saers drawn and began cutting it apart... it would be a horred sidht to watch ans atmophear vented draging innocent souls were sucked into space or incinerted by the sabers

"This isn't getting us anywhere Captain! We have no hope of stopping them!"
The Captain knew her crewman was right. As if to seemingly mock them, the destroyer of Skidbladnir 4 sent them a transmission offering surrender. The Captain said to herself, "Sensless death... We'll just have to make it worthwhile..." She then gave the order, "Attention crew! Prepare to evacuate... We're executing the Final Attack Protocol."
The crew knew what this meant. It was about to ram the crusier into the Terran carriers and hopefully get some major damage in. It seemed to be their last choice indeed, seeing the Jade Panther destroy a single Skidbladnir in two swipes. The rooms began to flash red and a voice called out, "ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL! FINAL ATTACK PROTOCOL IS SOON TO BE INITIATED! PLEASE EVACUATE IMMEADIETLY!" and continued to say while the crew began their run to the escape ships. As the smaller ships made their escape from the Skidbladnir, the ship itself began thrusting full speed into the Terran vesels...

As the Representative's ships were making their escape, the crewman of Skidbladnir 2 proclaimed, "Captain! The left rear engine room is in shreads! Our movements powering down!"
The Captain groaned in frustration and ordered, "Keep firing at the enemies! If we must, prepare to self-destruct!"
The leading technician confirmed, "Yes sir..." And had his finger ready on the self-destruct button should it be needed later...

As the two remaining Skidbladnirs were still going, the Captain of Skidbladnir 3 was making contact with the Representative saying, "Lord Representative, the enemy is closing in on us and one of our own ships is down!"
Konrad Mogens ordered, "Keep going! We have only ten miles to go before we can reach transmission range with Midgard! We must not fail reaching them!"

(OOC: Hmm, I see two problems at this point. First, I've somewhat abandoned Jagaro, which isn't helping him get into the world. Also, collectively we are suffering from a noticeable lack of stupid civilian kids stealing mobile suits. So here's my solution :-D)

Derby, Occupied Australia: North Zone

The two youths crept through a hole in the wire fence, which was badly in need of maintenance following the battle for the base. The Terrans had swept in so quickly that they hadn't had time to secure their perimeter. And just moments earlier, mobile suits had just started exploding for no discernible reason. Now the entire base was a mess as crews rushed to clean up the mess and reestablish some semblance of order.

Will Morris smiled confidently as he stood on the edge of a long tarmac. He was maybe a hundred yards from the nearest hanger, which appeared to be unguarded at the moment. His little brother, Croc, was breathing heavily behind him. He was a little more nervous. "Bro, this is stupid... if they catch us..."

"They're not gonna catch us," Will said. "Look at 'em go. They're freakin' out. Whatever hit this place serious farked them up, but it looks like it was just the old ones... which is good, 'cause we don't want that garbage."

"Can we actually do this?" Croc asked. "I mean... us, pilots?"

"Pssh, it'll be a piece of cake!" Will replied, as the two crept up to the hanger. "The controls have to be easy... Terrans are dumbasses, remember?" They pushed the door aside as quietly as they could. The hanger was empty except for four Gemini IIs, two at each wall. Perfect. Will grabbed the wire of one and tugged, and he was pulled up to the cockpit. Croc hesitated and then did the same with the unit next to his brother's.

Will entered the cockpit and immediately reached under the seat for the manual. "Let's see... hatch close..." He hit a switch on the console and it closed. Another switch, and the cameras were on. He grabbed his radio. "Hey, Croc, you find the manual? It's all in here, we can totally nab these!"

"Yeah, I think I get it..." Croc fumbled with the restraints but eventually had himself buckled in. He was just big enough to reach the pedals. "What channel is this, anyway?"

"Channel?" asked Will. "Isn't it already set to one? Oh wait, is this on broadcast?"

Another voice suddenly came out of the set, and both boys froze. "Hey, who the hell is that? Somebody track that signal... hanger eight, the hell's anyone in there for?!"

"Shit, shit!" yelled Croc. "Bro, we're screwed!"

"Nononono, it's fine, it's fine!" replied Will. "We're already buckled in, so we'll just be fast!" He gripped the controls and fired his head guns into the suit across from him, taking it out. (OOC: Didn't see anything written next to Gemini II in the stats page, so I'm assuming same weapons as Gemini I.) Croc followed suit and the two walked rather awkwardly to the hanger's rear door. Will fired his thrusters forward and broke out into the open. "We'll find some Union army or something. There's bound to be someone left."

The two made a beeline for the edge of the base and were over the fence. A pursuit force made of Gemini IIs and Aries took a few pot shots and then charged off in pursuit.

"They're shooting... they're really shooting at us!" yelled Croc. "Oh God, we're really gonna die... AAH!" Aries had already overtaken them and were pouring fire down. The two Gemini IIs tried to dance around the bullets, which gave the pursuing Geminis time to catch up.

"Crap... what else do we have on these things?!" asked Will, frantically checking his computer.

"Why did I let you talk me into this?!" cried Croc. "Man, I'm gonna die before I get a girlfriend and everything... I'm gonna die a virgin, bro, thanks a lot!"

"Dude, your name's Archie, you were gonna die a virgin anyway."

"This isn't time to tease me, man! You know what, as soon as we get to heaven, I'm gonna beat your ass. I'm gonna beat your ass in front of farking Jesus and ask for forgiveness while I do it!"

Will's computer beeped with an alarm. There was a solitary red dot approaching the battlefield. "Hey... you see this?"

"What, a red dot? That's... bad right?"

"Well, we're in a Terran robot, so red is actually good! We're saved!"

"Except... uh... we'll look red to him, won't we?"

"Then shoot at the green dots!"

"We've been doing that!"

"Do it more!"

Skidbladnir 3 was heavily damaged, but was a hairs edge away from being destroyed. The Captain reported to Representative Mogens, "Lord Representative, our engines are reaching critical status and our shields are down to 33%! We cannot continue on, it is imperritive that you reach Midgard! We'll hold them off for as long as we can!"
Representative Mogens nodded and said, "Very well. Hold off the Republic for as long as you can. We will return and give assitance to those who have escaped and push back the Terran fleet once reinforcements arrive."
The Captain confirmed, "Understood."
The radar watchman reported, "Lord Representative, we are now within communication range of Midgard."
"Very good. Send the transmission at once."
"Sending..."

Scandinavian Space Colony Midgard
Helena Alfhild awaited the transmission from the Skidbladnirs, and her advisor soon reported,"Lady Representative, we have recieved a message from Asgard units that Asgard is under attack from the Republic."
"Very well, send out all Skidbladnirs to assist. We must push them back."
At this order, another five Skidbladnir attack ships were moving out, ready to attack the Terran fleet. Commander Torgier Kaj led the five ships and the two hundred other Einherjars Scandinavia had to offer. He reported to Representative Konrad Mogens, "Lord Representative, we are ready for battle, form up on us and prepare for a joint attack!"
Mogens answered, "Very well, forming now." The two remaining Skidbladnirs now formed a force of seven Skidbladnirs, ready to attack the Terran fleet.
Command Kaj gave the order, "All right men, engage the enemy without mercy! Fire on all targets and give them hell!" The Einherjars of Midgard met with the Asgard units and now had a renewed fighting force to face the Republic. If they could not hold them off, all hopes for defeating the Republic would certainly be lost...

The twelve million citizens of Midgard had every right to be in fear. The Republic had entered through their hangars and were now patrolling through the city. With mobile suits now forcing them down, the citizens had no hopes of defeating the Republic. Some however, were ready to resist. Several had guns and were ready to meet with the Terran soldiers if they came into their homes asking for anything. Scandinavians were not known for cooperation when they saw an opportunity to resist and keep what was theirs, and this was more obvious as people stormed to their houses and apartments to barricade against the occupying Republic forces...

"The captain's in hanger one with the pilot of that Gundam," replied Gimbley. "Hop over to the lift and we'll bring you in."

He also managed to ask him, "And could you possibly introduce us to the pilot of the Darkstar if you have time?"...

"I'm sorry, but we don't know what happened to him, either," said Simms. "Things got pretty confusing at the end. The Polynesian Fleet betrayed us and led a Terran landing on the east coast, and around the same time we received orders from him to leave and assist friendlies overseas. Most likely, the capital has fallen and he is in Terran hands, but they control all news in and out of Australia at the moment, so we won't know until they say something."

Ah, now things made a little more sense. The two men seemed to be who they said they were, too, which made the story a little more believable. But this 'strange Gundam' was troublesome. "That would explain the Terran suits we detected on your ship," he said at last. "Miss Lynde seems like a pretty strong-willed individual, so I guess it's no surprise that she was able to lie as low as she wanted."

"You said that one of your men stole a Terran Gundam, and that another one attacked you at Suez," Mervin said. "That would make... let's see... four Gundam-types produced by the Republic that we know of."

"And you said Suez was attacked, which is problematic," continued Simms. "Our main fleet is heading there now so that it can break out into the Mediterranean. If the Twilight Phoenix has lost control of the area, we might take heavy losses before we can even join your main force."

Rolf told Captain Simms, "The Gundam that attacked us hasn't destroyed the Suez all the way. In fact, it seemed as if it was only after the single Gundam that we stole. The two met, it simply attempted to destroy us and flew off. We do not know where the Gundam is located now, but we feel it could appear again."

As the men talked, the black Gundam that called itself "Hades" was a few miles away from the two ships. The pilot thought, "So it seems the Warrior of Terra will not appear unless he is prompted to do so... Then I know how to get him out..." Hades formed a ball of energy from its hands and prepared a blast for the Great White. It could easily destroy the ship with one blast, but that would only keep Terra in hiding. So it fired a simple warning shot for Terra to come out. The blast hit the Great White on its side, causing some damage, but not enough to destroy it.

"Beam attack to the starboard engines, heavy damage!" reported Gimbley. "It ate right through the armor!"

"Shit, the reactor?"

"Damage is local... I think the aim was deliberate!"

"Get damage control on it. Where'd it come from? What are Moloti and Sirius doing?!"

"We're looking for it..." said Rian, scanning the sky in the direction of the attack. "One mobile suit... TR-X unknown!!"

"It looks like our meeting has to be cut short," Simms said. "If what you said is true, then that Gundam followed you here..."

On the deck, Laku and Adam were rocked by the attack, but they managed to stay on their respective decks. "What the... Laku, you see that?!" Adam's scope had picked up the new enemy suit... it had appeared out of nowhere. Was it letting its position be known on purpose? "It's out of my range, I can't hit it from here!"

"G-Gundam?!" Laku gulped. Alone she didn't have a chance against it, but it would still be another minute before Nelson could make it out, at best. What if it attacked the ships again? Perhaps she could distract it. "It can't be helped!" she yelled, taking off. She flew at the black Gundam and prepared her missile barrage.

As the ship was rocked, Rolf heard Captain Simms's comment about how the TR-X followed them. He told him, "It must have. We searched the Gundam we stole for tracking devices and everything, but it was completely clean. Unfortunately, I don't think we have much time to discuss how it got here. I will ask for our pilot to engage it immeadietly." Rolf took out his phone and called for Jacob.

As Jacob looked on at the damage along with the crowd, he felt his phone ring. He answered, "What is it?"
Rolf answered him, "Now may be the time to activate the Gundam. The enemy Gundam is here again."
Jacob confirmed, "Very well then."
Jacob ran through the crowd and back down to the Mobile Suit hangar. Terra was there to be taken into battle again. He opened the cockpit, "TERRAN TYPE ACCEPTED" the voice said as usual. He sat himself into the seat, pressed on the hand scanners and launched himself into the sky. It would soon engage Hades...

"Take this!" yelled Laku, emptying her backpack. Dozens of missiles streaked towards the enemy suit. "No way he's dodging that!" It didn't need to. The Hades formed another energy ball and simply allowed the missiles to hit, with the ball absorbing each blast. "What the hell is it...?!" mumbled Laku, and when the smoke cleared it was unscathed. "No way!"

The Warrior of Terra needed further incentive. That civilian vessel would do. The Hades wasted no time in moving forward. Laku had no time to dodge. The Gundam sucked-punched the hapless Dingo. Laku was restrained by her seatbelt, but the blow rendered her instantly unconscious. Her suit began to plummet towards the civilian ship...

As Jacob saw Laku's mobile suit rendered unconcious, he shouted to Hades, "Stop that now! It's me you want isn't it?"
Hades looked up and saw its target. Indeed it wanted to speak to Jacob, but what the intentions were, were still unknown. Hades answered, "Hello again Warrior. Are you more inclined to hear what I have to say?"
Jacob answered, "No! I won't let you harm anyone else!" and formed a beam sword from his hand and prepared to strike. Hades saw this and blocked the strike with its own. Jacob did everything to force Hades off of the civilian ship and push it away from the ship and the Great White. Soon a fierce duel was to take place, and many would have a view of it...

By now it should know that Jacob wouldn't want to follow him, it would have to do something to make him follow it. Incoming attack! It looked like he hadn't escaped notice after all... Nelson dodged the attack but the shock from the explosion sent the two units flying. Nelson know that they couldn't hit the water and expect to get airborne again, so he pounded his thrusters to maintain altitude. He headed for the Great White, which was being washed away from the passenger ship due to the waves generated by the duel above.

"Those guys are insane!" yelled Adam. "Terra can build that shit? There's no way we can fight that!!"

Nelson gripped the controls and gritted his teeth. Star fought that thing at Suez? And lived? She'd certainly earned her attitude, he decided.

Now Hades had what it needed. A bargaining tool. As it ascended further into the sky, it asked Jacob, "Do you see what I hold Warrior? Do you wish for the life of this woman to be forfeit today?"
Jacob answered, "Don't do it! What do you want from me?" This wasn't enough to convince Hades though. He knew he wasn't willing to let anyone be destroyed, but it needed another prisoner. One that was far more important to Jacob and would further catch his attention. As it saw Adam ready his gattling gun, it removed a missile from the back of Laku's mobile suit and threw it towards his direction.

"Daly, who authorized you to be in here?" barked Simms. The entire crew jumped. "Don't you have a job to do?"

"Sorry, sir!" he said, quickly exiting the hanger.

Mervin sighed. "It seems like we're all having trouble coping with these new affiliations."

"I apologize," said Simms. "We'll make sure no one touches your machine without your word. Now then, what it it you wanted to talk about?"

before she could answer star felt the impack of an Mobile suit landing and watch as one of the dingos desended into the hanger with amazingly enough 2 people in its fist

she watched as they were lowered to the ground and made there way over and plesentrys were exchanged. the news that the union had fallen had caught her off guard the ploynesians had betrayed the union turning its own military agains it... of course it had fallen and knowing the republic official anouncement would wait untill there hold had been solidified.

they had Stole the Terre... now that was hard to beleive. the bunker where the Darkstar was being held had be heavely guarded and it was nothing compaired to the terra.

the ship shook as it was hit by the blast from hades and star ran to the Darkstar fireing up her scanners Hades... this wasn't good... not good at all she powered up the systems as Nelson and the Dingo Launched

Stars arival into the frey was delayed due to waiting for nelson to launch and the slicht reconfiguration to the catapult for her to launch but as she rocketed into the air it wasn't looking good. the Hades had somehow managed to get ahold og the Dingo and looked like it was holding it hostage well time to help my new friends she drew her beam rifle and with the precision ain fired at the Hades aiming so that he wouldn't be able to use the Dingo as a sheild

Jacob saw the Darkstar and knew what this meant... Star was here. Why was she fighting Hades? He could not tell for certain, but he would have to ask her what. He opened a transmission with her and asked, "Star, why are you fighting the Hades? Aren't you working with him?"

Adam fired off a small burst of fire which dealt with the missile. "Pft, is he looking down at me?" he muttered. "Nels, what's the plan?"

At that point, the Darkstar came up from the hanger and launched headlong into the fray. No hesitation at all. He made up his mind - he wasn't going to abandon Laku or show cowardice in front of these potential allies. "Three on one Gundam war!" he yelled, following Star into battle. "Cover the ship!"

General Triner, General Waltfeld and several other members of the command staff. What they were doing is coming up with a way for them to take the fight to the republic over sea's as the fighting will not always be where they are now. Not only that but they needed to be able to provide fire support to Twilight ground forces. To do this they were looking at ships naval and land, however the problem was they were not cheap, to build or to buy. General waltfeld looked at the rest of them, hands folded "We dont need alot of ships, for the ground campaign I need only three ships, as for naval power five surface ships and two submarines should be enough, but surface ships is not my area of command" he said making his recomendation known. The others looked at him "a small force yes, land ships will be given priority right now as we wont need sea vessels until the liberation of the rest of the world" Triner said to waltfeld.

As Star was busy talking with the pilot of Terra, Hades saw the instant to take advantage. It kept hold of Laku and speeded towards the Darkstar. Judging from the conversation they were having, the pilot of Hades could tell Jacob had a true bond with this one. As it got in range, Hades kicked the Darkstar in the back sending it flying. It formed an energy sword and sliced off parts of the wings. Jacob was about to block Hades, but saw that the Dingo it was carrying was in danger of being cut as well. As the Hades cut the parts of the wings, it punched the Darkstar into the civilian ship.

This time, the ship was now in danger of sinking. With both Gundams helpless, Hades now held the two mobile suits like a hunter returning with pelts from a hunt. Jacob saw that the ship was in grave danger and flew down to keep it from sinking to the bottom. As long has he kept it above water, the civilians would have a chance of surviving. He then heard the robotic voice of Hades say, "Now you see that I hold two important allies Warrior of Terra. Are you willing to hear my offer now?"

Jacob answered, "Yes, I am willing! Just don't harm them!"

Hades told him, "We shall discuss this in a more private place where there is no one to interfere. You will meet my demands if you wish to see these pilots alive ever again." Jacob would have let go of the ship and made an attempt to save the two mobile suits, but seeing the ship he was on would be sinking if he even let go of it for a second, he had to continue to listen. The Hades continued, "You will come to the Zagros Mountains in five days time. With the mastery you have over Terra, you should arrive in plenty of time. However, if you do not meet me there by the hour, I will personally dispose of these wretches and their souls will be on your conscience... I will be waiting Warrior of Terra!" and flew off with both Gundams in his hands. It was now about to lure Jacob to a place where he could learn of his plans and see if he was willing.

"You're kidding me!!" Nelson yelled. It had beaten the Darkstar so easily!! But could he just let it leave?! He fired a few wild shots in its direction, but it was quickly fading out of range. He didn't have enough fuel or engine power to keep up. It had made fools of them all, and he hadn't been able to help Laku OR Star. He pounded his fist on the console. "Damn it!"

Simms had made it to the bridge and was glad to see the Gundam disappear, but now there were other problems. The civilian ship was in danger of sinking, and it was going to take a few hours to repair the starboard engine. They could sail fine, but they wouldn't be able to fly yet.

"Captain, what the hell are we going to do? It has Laku and Star!" radioed Nelson. "He said where he was going, and he's keeping them alive! If we go now, we can..."

"We're at a disadvantage!" Simms replied. "I understand how you feel, Lieutenant, but what do you think that other Gundam pilot feels any different? But he knows what's important now and what's important later. Help him keep that ship afloat. We will take the remaining refugees on board! Let the Admiral know that he'll have to proceed to Suez without us. It's in Twilight Phoenix hands, so it will be fine."

From his flagship, Hall received the report. If Great White could keep that freak Gundam busy, it would be a big help to them all. They were preparing to enter the Red Sea and would undoubtedly be detected by Suez any time now. "Roger that, Captain. Good hunting." He closed the channel. "Clean up hanger two, we need to make room for more mobile suits!" Mervin barked. The civilian ship was sinking, so they would have to carry its Gundam and Gemini. star had actualy been caught off guard for once and she didn't like it as she suddenly found herself flying the other direction out of control slamming in to the ship before she could regain her own feet she was snatched up by the hades... well she was haveing none of this. She refused to play the damsel in distress. She pulled on the arm holding her swinging her feet up in between her and the Hades and both pulled and pushed... she would either break its grip or pull one of there arms off she didn't care witch as she opend fire with her wrist mounted gattling guns... she wasn't about to sit still while she was draged off

Hades was about half way towards reaching his goal at the Zagros Mountains. While on the way there, it noticed that Star was attempting to free herself of his grip. "I knew you would attempt to be resourceful traitor..." The pilot of Hades told Star. It ceased speeding and threw Star's mobile suit straight into the desert sand. As Darkstar attempted to escape, Hades kicked Darkstar square in the chest. After that, it repeatedly punched Darkstar in the chest to ensure it learned its lesson. After the Darkstar was punished to Hades's satisfaction, it warned Star, "Do that again and I will not be so merciful..." It grabbed Star's mobile suit again and began flying off again towards the Zagros Mountatins.

the ocupation to the colony was swift as 2000 marines poored into the station quickly suppressing any resistence as Leo's patroled the streets. the mobile suits where more a display of power then ment for any real fighting because if a MS battle did erupt inside the colony would be doomed (eg heliopolus) after the hangers had been sucured the 2nd fleat had been notified and had moved in from earth orbit ariving the same time as the scandinavian fleat.

tong had been in the command center of the colony and watched on the screeens as the fleats engaged one another they where evenly matched the terran carriers suplying Mobile suits while the destroyers engaged the scandinavian ships. tong watched for several minutes before deciding on if his asistance would be needed... he would wait afrew moments longer befor deciding

General Triner and the others were going through various designed when General Waltfeld came across a interesting design "Take a look at these, Petrie and Lesseps class, they use a scale system to move around, so they can move on land and sea" he told them as the others brought up the plans "this is a design we should look closer at, it could be exactly what we are looking for" Triner said.

"Clean up hanger two, we need to make room for more mobile suits!" Mervin barked. The civilian ship was sinking, so they would have to carry its Gundam and Gemini. And they would need room for when the saved Laku and Star... there was no "if" here. "We'll move Rangipapa in there once it's ready. Until then, we're storing everyone in here - Rangipapa, Magnum Dingo, Gemini, TR-X! Find the pilots of those units and make sure we're clear on what kind of maintenance is and isn't permissible."

The officer delivered the report to Simms, who frowned when he looked at it. "Why do they want us to go back to Suez?" he asked. "Star mentioned they were heading towards Dawwah, and the Zagros Mountains are in Iran... We can just as easily take the civilians there en route to the Persian Gulf. If they think we're going to abandon Moloti, they're mistaken. We're going to pull our weight in this alliance!"

The four remaining pilots went to the Captains bridge and made their reports. Jacob was amazed when he got out of the Terra. He didn't feel as exhausted as much as he did before, but now oonly had a slight feeling of diziness. He guessed it was a result of piloting the Gundam more often.

Jaron said, "I would have helped, but Star told me to remain. I believe she wanted me to remain so I would not risk being killed. Like Ms. Lynde, I also left the Republic only hoping to be of some help to her. But obviously it does not seem that she wishes me to do so."

Jacob was able to give his full report saying, "Hades told me to meet with him in the Zagros Mountains. I don't know why he wants me to come, but I suppose he wants me to arrive without any help if things must come to violence between us."

Hades dodged the blows Star threw at it and got around her again and this time kicked her so hard in the back, she was forced to the desert ground again.

Beckett had started the raid in the normal fashion by luncing chlorine rockets at the air base of course there was a wind that blew the deadly gas away before it was able to do more than blind a few pilots. He raidoed one of them "This is Travis Beckett, pilot of the Virus gundam, and bandit of the south seas, identify yourselves."

Will responded "Um.. I am Will Morris and this is my little brother Archie we figured with the base in such a mess like this we could steal some mobile suits and sell them for parts."

"Well kid stay out of my way and mabey destory a few republic mobile suits and I'll let you do whatever you want with those G2s and give you 10% of the profits from the raid."

"DUDE, why did you tell him my real name?" Croc moaned, searching frantically for another weapon. "You do know who that is, right? THE Travis Beckett, he was in our textbook and everything!"

"I know, and he's letting us work with him!" yelled Will, pulling up the arm vulcans. "How sweet is this?!"

"Not the word I'd use for it... !!" They were under heavy bombardment from the base's compliment of Gemini IIs, but the Virus was definitely evening the odds. It was taking quite a bit of punishment without any significant damage... so that was the strength of a Gundam, huh?

"Ok kids looks like things are going to get messy, you two take out the ones be hind me, I'll worry about the front and sides." He fired off Virus' artillery at one of the G2s flanking him on the right before rushing to the three in front of him and spraying them with acid. By the time he had taken them out those three the artillery had reloaded so he fired it at one of the other flanking G2s this time on the left side. He rushed the suits to the right spraying them with acid and fired off the artillery at one of the suits the Morris boys where fighting.

"Hey we could have taken that one out." Croc said over the raido as him and his brother finished off one of the other suits they where fighting.

"I am sure you could have, but then again just because you don't need the help dose not mean you couldn't use the help." Travis said before firing of the artillery and finishing the last one off with a good helping of sulfuric acid.

After the battle ended Travis raidoed for grace to send a slavage crew to come pick up any thing worth graping. Next he adressed the kids "If your lucky the tarrens won't be able to ID you, but if you to get coot your dead meat. Now I am going to make you an offer like I said you can do what ever you want with those suits, but hear is the offer you two can join my crew and we will give your family a nice place to live or you can go about your marry way and pray you don't get coot."

After a couple of hours, Hades had come to a mountainous region. It had very little resistance getting to the Zagros Mountains, but it now had to only wait for Jacob to arrive. It found an area in the mountains where there was enough room to set the two mobile suits down. It threw the Darkstar and Laku's Dingo down into the area and landed on the highest peak to watch over them. It warned them in its robotic voice, "Attempts of escape will not get you any results. You will wait for Terra to arrive, and then your release will be discussed..."

Attack aircraft and a number of mobile suits took off and began moving North to search for the supposed breach to the security of the Muslim People.

"F*** you!" it was a futile attemp but it made her feel better she had no hope to escape not with her sight gone . flight limited and her weapons powerless she was a sitting duck and she dispised him for it. but she did have one option left

" i don't know about you" she said to the dingo pilot " but i'm not just gonna sit here like a good girl and wait for whatever twisted plan this jack ass has... i'm leaving" and with that she opened the cockpit of the Darkstar as far as it would go grabing her servival kit checked her compas against the directing the other pilot had said they where traveling and started back the way they came.

the hade's could orderher around all it wanted but if it wanted her alive the pilot would have to catch her cause a mobile suit was not the best tool to try and capture an unwilling individual especialy one as strong-willed as star or as determened

Hades saw Star attempting to leave the Darkstar. It could definately tell she would take whatever means needed to escape, so it would have to render her totally helpless. It waited for Star to get further away from the Darkstar and jumped in front of her. As soon as it landed, it grasped Star in its right hand. It tightly grasped Star in its grip, but not enough to crush her to death. It reminded her, "I told you that escape would be futile..."

It turned its head up to the sky and saw the Army of Islam had sent in many soldiers, air fighters and mobile suits, to investigate him. For a mobile suit as powerful as Hades, this would not be a problem but would have to be careful not to get Star in the fire. It fired a wave of energy form from its hands at the air fighters to ensure they would not be able to report to their superiors. All that would be left were the mobile suits, if they were to bring any challenge that is...

"I certainly hope so, but if we cannot reach Hades in time, we cannot hope to rescue them. I will gladly accept Lieutenant Allblack's assistance, especially if he considers this to be as personal as he says." Jacob told them. "It does seem possible we can speak with the Army of Islam, though hopefully Hades will not do anything to harm the people there. The Army has been long isolated from the known world, and there is chance that its homeland may not be so inviting."

Jaron interjected saying, "I would like to help as well. Ms. Lynde has long assured my safety and I feel if it weren't for her, I would still be serving the Republic." Jaron was far from proud of being a Crofton, but this was obviously how everyone would know him. He wanted to help Star for all she did and show how he was now loyal to the resistance who desired to free the Earth from Republic control.

"This ship can still sail, so getting there shouldn't be a problem," said Simms. "We'll need a day to deal with the refugees, and another one to reach the Persian Gulf. Chief Harris says we should be able to fly by then, but you're right... it would be a problem if Tehran blocks our passage."

Nelson and Adam entered the bridge. Adam wasn't happy. "Captain, she better not be giving you that 'I'm fighting alone' talk..." Rolf and Roland were understandably taken aback.

"No, it looks like she understands our position, and we're going all in," replied Simms. "And you're to address our guests appropriately, understood?"

"Right, right, sorry, sorry miss," he mumbled.

"We all feel a bit powerless right now..." said Nelson. "I wasn't exactly the clearest mind out there, either. But for whatever reason, it's keeping them alive and giving us five days to get there. That gives us time to come up with a plan." He placed his hand on Jacob's shoulder and whispered, "When we get a moment, I want to talk with you..."

"Dude, you hear that, it's perfect!" said Will. "We can fight the Terrans like this!"

"He's a merc," said Croc. "No guarantees... and we could get ourselves killed doing this. We got lucky this time."

"Either way, it's a way out," replied Will. "If we just stay here and do nothing, we'll never find out what happened to dad, right?"

"You'll have to stay strong while I'm gone... but don't worry. We'll push the Terrans back before they can get a good footing here. We have good ships, and they've gotta face my guns..."

"I guess so..." Croc mumbled. "At least it'll be a better place to stay. Could you just try not to be so reckless next time?"

"IDIOT!" said Will. "Don't forget what dad told us. A strong fighting spirit is the key to winning the tough battles. And if you never take risks, you may as well give up." He switched his channel. "We'll take you up on that!" he radioed Beckett. "Let's get the spoils out of here before they send us more victims!"

They could get to Europe like this, and hopefully find an allied European fleet. But if the Phoenix wanted some help in their own struggles, it might be okay to leave a detachment in their care...

Se needed a moment to collect herself first... she was tired, hungry, and still sore from being unceremoniously dumped on the mountainside. She reached under her seat for her survival kit... two days of emergency rations at best, and something for her headache. The flares weren't terribly useful.

The other pilot hadn't said anything for awhile. Probably coming to grips with her own situation. She tore into an energy bar. She hoped there was someplace nearby where she could get water, or perhaps her captors would oblige. Hopefully it didn't mean for them to suffer too much while keeping them alive. "The suit's probably on emergency power right now, if it's still operational," replied Gimbley. "The signal might be too weak to reach us, and we lost contact with the three soon after it departed."

"The black Gundam is probably only detectable at close range," added Rian.

"We have plenty of things to worry about," said Simms, "and only so much time left to do it. First thing's first; we'll arrange quarters for you. We'll be as sensitive to your needs as possible." Everyone was pretty sure he was concerned mostly about not offending the Gundam pilot.

Hades knew Laku would not be as much of a problem as Star would be. She was much more calm in captivity. It allowed her to free herself of the cockpit and resumed holding back the Army's attackers...

Laku heard a great deal of noise outside, so she slipped out of the cockpit. The saw a sizable air flotilla swarming around the area, focusing mainly on the black Gundam. She wasn't sure she recognized the model types... were they friendly? Just because they were fighting the black Gundam didn't immediately mean they were, which was probably what held her back from quickly running to grab her flares. She knew this wasn't a normal situation to be in... something bigger was happening here. It was probably better to formulate a plan with the other pilot.

Seeing the damaged Darkstar resting peacefully nearby, she approached the cockpit slowly. It didn't appear like she was there. Laku looked around... the terrain was rugged, fairly impassable... that pilot was either crazy or insanely strong. In any case, she was stranded, and doing something impulsive would probably just make the situation worse. Mobile suits were crashing all around in the jagged mountainside, further making an escape a dangerous proposition.

Laku watched as the black Gundam's attacks grew more violent, perhaps it was getting tired of having weak opposition. The scary thing was that whoever was attacking didn't look very weak at all. Jacob would not be able to avoid Nelson though, he still had to talk to him "when they got a chance", and now was likely a better time than ever. Hopefully whatever Nelson wanted to talk to him about wasn't something that couldn't be solved with words...

The thought had barely died away when there was a knock on the door. "It this a good time?" It was Nelson.

Surprisingly, Star collected herself rather quickly and was more pissed than anything once she hit the ground. It sounded like she was radioing for help, but Laku wasn't sure that was the best idea. After all, chances were far better that they would be found by Terrans than by allies in this region of the world, and the unknown force from earlier would hear it, too. But with Star in the mood she was, it was best not to challenge her. Not if they were stuck together out here.

So... she tried to be friendly. "Any luck?" she asked.

Holland, Diane, Luna, Mayrin and many others were now in the barracks, showering and getting ready for a good night sleep. The barracks was split into rooms, eight beds per room, not the best accomidations but they did the trick. Holland and Luna were both in towels in there room when a couple people came in with a camera "Just what the hell are you guys doing?" Holland asked while keeping his towel on. The one woman and one man looked at him "Just filming a documentry" the woman said. Holland didn't buy it "Yeah, yeah, sure you are" he said pushing them out and closing the door. They tried to get back in but Holland locked the door before they could.

Every one in the room started to laugh at what the two were doing "Must be some documentry there doing" Mayrin commented "Yeah Twilight Phoenix: under the towels" one of the others joked "haha yeah but im not about to have my self on that video, cut or uncut edition" Luna added after giving a brief laugh.

Hades heard the transmission Star was sending and told them, "Call for help as often as you like. It shall bring me more victims to decimate...." As part of a warning as well as a mockery.

Laku followed Star's motion to the cliff and squinted, but was unable to see anything. The rock face was incredibly rugged, and the sun was at an awkward angle, so there were a great deal of shadows of varying size and shape competing for her attention. They were winning. "Sorry, I don't..." she said. "You're not seriously still thinking of escaping, are you? Nelson stared at him blankly. He looked at the veil, then at Jacob's face, then back at the veil... he scrambled to one knee. He figured that was appropriate. "Holy... uh..." If this had been any other kid, he'd be laughing his ass off. And the Prince's physical appearance was far from intimidating - he was shorter, lighter, and more feminine than he was. He could see how the disguise was easy to pull off. But his skills, which counted far more in this line of work, were as impressive as his standing, and Nelson respected that. "I hope I didn't seem too rude in seeking you out like this..."

Laku's face fell. "That's true... well, for a few days, food isn't nearly as important as water. We'll definitely need that if he plans on keeping us here beyond three days." She looked around. Well... she had a point. Laku turned to look at the black Gundam, which hadn't stirred when Star moved. She walked over to her mobile suit and climbed into the cockpit, fumbling around for her own kit. The food could be stretched, no problem, but she was still worried about water, regardless of what Star had to say. Perhaps she just didn't want to die like this... Laku shook it off. She grabbed her gear and walked over to where Star was sitting, still keeping her eyes on the Gundam.

they where using the concentrated fire tactic.. it was a good one the republic had oftain used it but with the numbers they had now every attack was a concentrated one with both the 2nd and 4th fleats stationed nearby the scandinavians where eazly outnumberd 3-1 the loss of one ship while regretable wouldn't be enough to stop them as focused fire tore into the scandinavian lines the Leos engaging the einherjars it was an all out skermish the with the republic looking to come out ontop but then when you had the republics numbers that was almost always the case

The fighting was hard on both sides, but the Scandinavians were not willing to be the first ones to fall from fighting. The Einherjars were outnumbered due to their losing battles with the Leos and the skirmish with the battleships did not make things any easier. As the battleships exchanged fire, the first casualty came towards the Scandinavians. "Commander! Skidbladnir 6 has been shot down!"
Commander Kaj ordered, "Move our forces back! Ensure that we can decrease their chances of hitting us!" The ships moved back in hopes of distancing the range of fire and allowing more space for the combating mobile suits. One Skidbladnir that could not do this, due to poor engines, was the ill-fated Skidbladnir 3. During the pull back, the Terran fleet fired again and many of the shots hit the Skidbladnir 3.
A crewman on Skidbladnir 3 reported, "Captain! Our shields won't hold much longer!"
The Captain ordered, "This isn't good... We have to get out of here! Begin evacuation of the ship immeadietly!" But before the evacuation could begin, another few shots came to the Skidbladnir 3 and was soon shot out of existence...

As Skidbladnir 3 went down, A crewman reported, "Commander! We have an enemy transmission coming from Asgard!"
"Very well then, open it up." As the transmission played, the Commander listened with disgust about how overconfident the pilot sounded. He responded, "You believe we'll give in to Sage's tyranny this easily?! We will not let the Republic take control of our lives as long as we breath! Close the link!" The transmission link closed and Commander Kaj ordered, "All cannons! Prepare for a strike on the enemy flagship! It's time to strike them where it really hurts!!!" After recieving this order, the ships began firing at the largest ship of the Terran fleet, which was safe to assume was the enemy flagship.

"Laku Moloti, Lieutenant Junior Grade, Oceanic Union," she replied. Lynde was a bit shorter than she was, but she was more powerfully built. Her tone was confident, if not condescending. She didn't seem to be shaken at all by the black Gundam's earlier maneuver. If anything, it had hardened her resistance. It was a bit intimidating. I'm glad she's on our side...

Hours had passed as the battle waged on. Many Terran vessels were destroyed... But came at the cost of the Scandinavian navy. Only 3 Skidbladnirs were now remaining, two of them disabled to do anything. The last one still fighting was Skidbladnir 6, the ship holding Commander Torgier Kaj. Around the ship was a mere ten Einherjars, and the remainder of the Terran navy sent to capture the Scandinavian Colonies. A crewman reported, "Commander! Our heat levels are exceeding maximum! Our shields are almost down to zero! We can't hold out much longer!"

"This is insane! We cannot lose to tyranny! We will not submit!!!" Commander Kaj yelled out. But these were the last opposing words the Scandinavians had to offer, as the Jade Panther came in for a swoop and fired at the ship. It was too late to order for an evacuation as the enemy mobile suit made its swift, yet vicious sweep towards the ship.

All that could be said were the words of a crewman reporting, "COMMANDER! OUR SHIELDS ARE DOWN! WE CAN'T HOLD OUT LIKE THIS ANY LON-" With that final blast, the battle was over, and the Scandinavians lost.

Representative Helena Alfhild watched as Scandinavia's hope for freedom from Terra went down in flames. It was now a matter of time before the military came to occupy the colonies. She could not convince her people to lay down their arms, seeing they were far from willing to give up their independence. But with the destruction of the space military Scandinavia suffered, the people would have to accept their fate whether they liked it or not...

All of Scandinavia was now in an uproar. The capture of the two colonies mean the end of all Terran resistance in space. This was bringing fear into the hearts of all who heard the news. All that could be done now, was for them to continue the resistance. The King was expected to make another adress to his land adressing the issue someday soon...

Paris

Maynerd Caedmon walked into the room of President Brendon Sage. He was ordered to meet with him regarding the recent news. He greeted himself, "You called for me Mr. President?"
Sage, still sitting, looked up and answered, "Yes... The colonies have been taken correct?"
Caedmon answered, "Yes Mr. President."
Sage told him, "Excellent... Now we can begin the ending of this war... Send an order to the Terran fleet, tell them to begin the assimilation of the colonies..."
Caedmon questioned, "Assimilation?"
Sage explained, "Yes... Unity will begin in space Maynerd. Once the symbol has been formed from the skies, the Earth will soon see that the Republic is the only path for humanity's future..."
"Very well Mr. President." Caedmon walked out and began to issue the order to the Terran fleets...

Night was falling in the mountain side and Hades remained pearched on the same peak it was on when it brought the woman pilots to the area. Flying above Hades, was a civilian aricraft that obviously posed no real threat. But Hades was not willing to take a chance. It raised an arm to the sky, and a ball of energy formed from it. As the ball turned into a wave, it shot at the aircraft and it crashed about a mile away from where Hades and the two pilots were. Not only would this ensure that no one would see the Hades, but this would send a reminder to the pilots what would happen if they tried to escape...

Laku was still a bit restless... she was sore but, having been unconscious for the better part of the day, wasn't tired. A glowing light brightened the entrance to the cave, and she heard an explosion outside. Probably the black Gundam locating an intruder. One day down, but how many to go?

Night had fallen, but the Great White's engineering team was hard at work. The engine that the black Gundam had damaged wasn't going to fix itself, and they needed to get the ship airborne before the deadline. Mervin had buried himself in academic papers and was searching frantically for anything that they would be able to implement crudely in four days to add some protection. Terran capital ships in space had some kind of shielding, perhaps they could do something similar. The basic idea was that the ship maintained a field of charged particles around it which would interfere with enemy energy attacks, although it took a great deal of power to hold a shield up, and it could be overpowered. It was also useless against projectiles. And it looked like it would require the parts currently used to hold particles in place for the main guns' discharge, which was a pretty bad idea. It would be hopeless unless they could get more parts.

As a new day arose in Scandinavia, King Ragnvald IV was asked to make another adress to his nation. He was seen again on his desk,

"My fellow people of Scandinavia, the Republic has once again taken a grave toll on the good people who live for freedom. The twin space colonies of Scandinavia, Midgard and Asgard have both been brutaly attacked by the Terran Space Navy.

"Though our brothers in space have been captured, the conquest of Scandinavia's pride in space will not reflect that of a conquest on earth! We are Scandinavia, and we will not surrender to tyranny! I ask you all to do the same, 22 million people have been captured under the flag of Terra, but they will not leave them to be oppresed by the Republic!

"If we are to remain a free nation, we must show our willingness to stand united and resist the ambitions of Sage when he brings his battles to our homeland. I my self do not wish for this war to continue, but if Sage will not listen to reason, then we must show him that the world will not submit to his desires as easily as he wishes.

"I leave you today, hoping that your awarness of the situation in space will mean the war will very soon expand. I hope for the best of our nation, and for all of our sakes, remain as an example to the world of remaining opposed to the Republic's tyranny. I wish for your well being my people, and may God bless you all..."

Morning came by and contruction continued on the base, however Holland, Diane, and Luna were in the base command center in a meet to discuss the current situation "With the fall of the Scandinavian colonies in space, and the Fall of the union we are in a bad situation, we need to accelerate our plans" the base commander said. They also had a video uplink with HQ and the command staff "Time is a luxery we don't have any more" General Triner said to them over the uplink "Then what is the plan sir?" Holland asked "Plan is General Waltfeld is going to hitch a ride on our Petrie class and head for Suez, from there we are going to begin operation steel viper, the forcing of the a complete republic withdrawal from africa" Triner told them.

The three looked at the plan as it appeared on the table in front of them "What about locals along the northern coast? will they help us?" Diane asked "I was going over our intelligence yesterday, there are militia's in almost every town waiting for a chance for some one to hit the republic" the base commander said pointing to the towns along the northern coast. Luna studied the map and then looked up "So its a basic sweep around the north coast then come in from the north and west forcing them east to the red sea" she said trying to sum up the plan "yes thats exactly it" Triner told them.

"Strong words... definitely the stance we need to take," said Simms from his position on the bridge. The ship had docked in Dawwah and was unloading refugees as calmly and quickly as possible. They would be journeying into dangerous territory soon. But the Scandinavian people hold sway in the end, and they've suffered tremendously already... one nation has already buckled, but will they be different?

Frederick Morris, his second in command and chief gunnery officer, was watching the broadcast, as well, along with the rest of the crew on the bridge. He had come aboard after being recommended as one of the top naval gunners in the fleet. "Sir, refugee discharge is eighty percent complete. We're also getting some fresh supplies and equipment using some of that gold Hawthorne left us... we should be able to set sail comfortably by noon."

"So what do you think of that speech, Morris?" asked Simms.

"Just as strong as the Representative's, I'd say," Morris replied. "They're really the last obstacle to Terra's domination. But I'm sure the King is a far more inspirational figure than an elected official... but if something big doesn't happen soon, it could still be the end."

"If Hall got through Suez, he should be able to rendezvous with friendlies in Greece," Simms said. "We came up with a plan that might give us the boost with need. It's admittedly ambitious, but since Terran power is focused elsewhere, it's our best opportunity. Although... it would probably need Gundam support. That's why we must survive this mission."

"And local resistance, can we count on any help from them?" asked Morris.

"Not to start with," said Simms, "but one of the major objectives is to stir it up. It will still be a day or two before the operation could start. Hopefully there's enough resistance back in Australia to keep them bottled up."

"Technical Chief Daly has been working on that, actually," said Morris. "He's been hacking Terran government sites and popular webpages to display anti-Terran propaganda, suggesting that people steal mobile suits and generally raise mayhem."

"They can't track it here, can they?" asked Simms, alarmed. "Because if they find us before we..."

"He says he uses Terran proxies, so it should be fine," replied Morris. "And even if they knew the address of his box, it's a mobile computer, so they can't determine the location just from that."

"I hope so... I never got that technological stuff..."

As Jacob finished helping the refugees leave the Great White, he went back to the ship to hear that his father made another adress to his nation. He immeadietly went to his quarters and listened to what his father had spoken to the people the laptop offered in his room.

After listening to it all the way through, Jacob continued to stare at the screen to see his father's face. He could tell that his father was going through a hard time in his life. Still mourning for Sonja, having to deal with a war with no diplomatic end, worrying about his only son out fighting, this was all a great deal of pain for a single individual to take in.

The King and Prince were not as close to each other as some people thought. Jacob had always taken his position as Crown Prince very seriously due to being raised in a war. So seriously, it was questionable if he still saw Ragnvald as a father, not just a superior. This seperation was not only caused by conflict in the world, but within the family as well. Ever since the day Jacob was told his mother died in child birth, he continously wondered why that happened. He was offered no answers by anyone, not the doctors, not Prime Minister Gregors, not even his own father. Because of this, Jacob had always felt somewhat responsible for the death of such a caring and beautiful woman. That very guilt carried with him to the very day he was in now, which was why he always had a locket of his mother.

Seeing this speech though, Jacob could see into his father and realize how much this war was taking a toll on him. As a politician, the King had to show little weakness. But Jacob's senses told him that there was something in the aging King's eyes that he was being asked to do a great deal for a nation far smaller than the Republic.

He thought to himself, "Father... I have the same wishes as you do... Had this war never happened, maybe you and I would be closer than we are now..."
