Regarding what nation I'll be joining, I think I'll decide once I know the current situation of the world.

Alright Drekon, here is the best summarization of the story thus far. Any further details you'd like to know? Just ask away.

The Terran Republic is currently in control of more than 70% of the Earth right now, check the map to see the current territory standings, and is making pushes to take the rest of the world under its iron grasp. Scandinavia and the Oceanic Union both realized this, only to face the wrath of the Republic's Army, resulting in the Oceanic Union has been conquered by the Republic.

In space though, both of Scandinavia's space colonies have been taken into Republic control, thus giving the Republic control of all space around Earth. As a result, the Republic's President, Brendon Sage, has ordered for the assimilation of the colonies into a single structure that Sage calls "New Terra".

On the Oceanic side, the remnants of the Oceanic Army have fled their homeland and met with allies from Europe and the resistance group Twilight Phoenix. As soon as they got there though, a mysterious black Gundam appeared calling itself Hades while searching for the pilot of Gundam Terra, a Gundam the Scandinavians stole. To get the pilot to meet with him though, he has resorted to taking hostages into the Zagros Mountains of Iran to get Terra's pilot, Jacob, to meet with him within a five day time limit.

All the while, the major terrorist group, the Army of Islam, is beginning disruption in Istanbul and still under suspition of what the black Gundam is doing in their lands. They will soon have another matter to attend to though, when they discover that Twilight Phoenix and its commanders are soon to be within range of their lands as well. Will friendship ensue, or conflict?

This is how Twilight Phoenix ended up there in the first place: They captured a key Republic base in the Suez, but destroyed it after being overwhelmed by the Republic army. They managed to escape, but they may face greater challenges if they should return. And even if they do not, there is still question if they will be able to recover from their losses.

While Europe reforms itself, the Russians have also quietly begun discussing among themselves how to form a resistance within the Republic as well.

There was another guy named Red Tide 2 who was playing as an organization called the Heart of Armageddon, but I'm guessing he lost interest in the rp. If you want to fill in for him, I'll ask him.


So that's what I've got in a nutshell. Anyone got any details to add, please do so. Oh and Kratna, Jagaro is a renegade pilot working for the Oceanics, Zoingo is the new leader of the new European Federation.

yes it would... but there still 2 weeks from haveing any mobile suits ready... that and there 20 years out of date but even old equipment if better than no equipment

Russia was the first to fall not including north amarica so it is entirely owned and operated by the Terran Republic ecept for afew small cities near the kingdom of scandinavia so it is all Terra including all millitary assets.

the down side to the russian revolution if the minnimum 2 weeks to see any reconditions mobile suits and the fact that there no one much under the age of 50 who would know how to pilot one

but i HAVE mobile suits so thats not the problem... its fixing then in time :D thats the problem... 2 weeks is 2 weeks and thats coming from a profesional so he may have added acouple days for grace period so lets say 10 if they can get additional help *hint hint* but thers no getting around the 50 year old pilots

i'm my last russia post he was overseeing the arival of some new equipment at the reclamation facility and had mad a public invitation to the russian people to come see the last of the Tartar Units before they are scraped but it was actualy a codded message to try and get soem of the old pilots to come and join in his seekret plan that so far only 3 people know about

Hello and welcome you are correct this is still an open thread as for countrys up for grabs... well your best bet if you want someplace to call your own is the bits of africa (the remenents of the asian allience are about to be creamed)

however i would recomend a russian simpathiser as in about 2 RP weeks give or take the russians are going to enter a fullblown revolt against there Terran opressors events have already been put into motion for this so its just a matter of time

Yep, you got that right. Bits of Africa and a portion of South Africa, along with Asia (Kidoumaru has been removed seeing he's inactive) are all up for grabs to build into a nation. You can be anything you desire as long as it's realistic. Country, pilot for or against the Republic or be a smaller part of any of the factions already made. Hope to see you on board.

Yeah, we just assumed that since no one else was joining, we could assume the Republic had taken all colonies under its control.

You could rp as the South African Confederation and act as though your colonies were recently taken by the Republic. And for more possibilites: You could say that the colonies were captured but you now have a resistance force forming to attempt to break away from the Republic.

If you could though, I'd appreciate you made a South African nation. It would make sense from a plot stand point for why the Republic hasn't taken all of Africa yet. But it is your choice and I'll leave it up to you.

Terra, which formed from the old United States, has gone overboard by a mysterious Mr. Sage, and has staged a global domination of the earth. Scandinavia, Europe, South Africa, and parts of Asia only stand in his way. The once Oceanic Union has fallen, and is now staging a stike at Turkey and into Russia. Europe is in the middle of reform, and is now united against Terra. Africa is in the middle of a revolt, and the organization called the Twilight Pheonix has staged attackes on the Middle East.

Rundown of Protagonist (Jacob):

Jacob, prince of Scandinavia, encounterd a Gundam called Terra. Ever since being at the Twilight Pheonix main base, another gundam called Hades, has seeked him down and tried to get him to learn mysterious things about the 2 Gundams. Hades has also captured 2 pilots in order to make him come, but several people went with him, so that failed but no one knows who Hades really is or his actual purpose.....

Well for 00 the AEU Enact or the Union Flag is a good high preformace flyer, the Hellion is a low cost suit, while the Tieren while a little ugly is multi purpose, and theres even low cost gurilla suits (gets idea for australia)

So, the Gundam designs seem a bit recycled, but they still look gorgeous. The GN drives are pretty nifty. And now that I've given it more thought, I love what they've done to the grunt MS. The Tieren looks gritty and more down-to-Earth, and the Union Flag/Enact are fresh.

And as long as Gundams are indestructible, I prefer a Wingish storyline. They fit better into that than, say, a Universal Century storyline, where the mobile suits all have to be beatable for it to really work. Heck, that's half the fun.

I think what I like best is that, with the right drive and will, we could probably build half of this stuff within the next century.

It's started nicely, but I'd like to see a little more character development before the war proper begins. And it's going to have to be quite badass to match Gurren-Lagann for best mecha show of the year :-P

These MSs look so...ugly. No real artistry at all.

That is true it looks more like something out of an american video game than a japanese anime.

Which ones? The Tierens and Amphs are totally gritty and I love that. The Enact and Union Flag look Eureka Sevenish, which isn't bad, but weird, I'll admit. (Unless you've watched Turn A!)

The Tierens are too bulky for my tastes, and the Union Flag/Enact are just too skinny.

I guess I'm just too used to the old mobile suit designs.

As much as I love the old designs, I like crazy new stuff better than, "Oh, look, it's a Gouf except now it's been backronymed so it's totally more awesome than ever! And ATHRUN'S in it!!!!!111"

Well, by the laws of the Gundam universe, Spit and I will win because our ships are white. Because the white ship always wins. For instance, white rowboat > Minerva. I dare you to find one instance of Gundam Seed DESTINY where an encounter between the Minerva and a white rowboat did not result in the Minerva's complete and utter destruction.

And on the rare occasion when the white ship gets destroyed, the crew survives and returns in an EVEN MORE AWESOME WHITE SHIP. White Base got destroyed, but Bright lives on. Next up was Argama, then that gets stuck on Earth, he goes into space and grabs the Ra Cailum... His next logical upgrade is Death Star.

If two white ships fight each other, the tiebreaker is who has the more awesome white robot. This only happens in cross-universe battles, which always leads to a massive hullabaloo over what constitutes a "more awesome white robot." Such lengths are necessary to generate said battle because no one universe can handle the amount of awesome that comes from there being more than one white ship in it. By this logic, should our ships join forces, it will tear a hole in spacetime.

So, Kratna, your best strategy is to lead off with a hail of paintballs...

no arguments here but lets just keep space out of this for now and deal with russia shall we cause lets face it while one on one the archangel could kick the minerva's ass... i still havr the numbers in my favor... like spit break 3 on 1 he looses and that not including my pure combat ships that as of yet are unmentioned so if everyones agreeable lets hold off any any major space action untill the great white makes it up there

for the record right now 3 on 1 i could still win, I brought all my MS with me which is almost 1000 but yeah russia first, then perhaps asia or hell a north american coastal landing would sure kick ass

go play in asia.. china could use someconvinceing... but good luck... they where the first to willingly join so there faith is reasonably sucure mostly you'd have to convinve them that leaving Terra is good for them... but they are the key to Terra's massive mobile suit construction figures

Speaking of Asia, you're gonna steamroll most everyone there no probs, but you mentioned leaving Japan out... is anybody going to play them? I wouldn't mind latching onto the Zero Knights or inventing some insane Japanese Gundams. Though I'd expect Sage to already have a backdoor in Japan, and any force they'd have would be smallish...
