The Advance
The Army turned towards its next objective. The tanks rolled, and the Infantry followed. The would attack the city, but only siege it, they did not want to get caught up in a street-to-street war unless they had to. They knew they would have to secure specific points, but they would use no more than they had to. They began to encircle the city. Meanwhile, the General Staff organized an additional Infantry Army, as well as an additional Air Combat Group, and artillery. They were all to be transported by plane, including commercial interests. Two Air Assault divisions were also coming, as well as one Airborne.

At the Edge of The City
Stars, they were out, millions of them, all having their own solar system, all with endless possibilities. And, Gabe knew, he would probaly never see them. Not when he was here, no, not when he was here. Not in War. No, there were no possibilities in war. None. Just death and destruction. Gabe sighed, readied his M-25. His squad was about to move into the city. Their job, to capture the City Hall. Private Gabe would have much rather stayed outside drinking coffee in a foxhole. Fuck, he didn't even want to be in this damn country. But he had been drafted. Either serve, or face life in prison, without parole. That wasn't an option for Gabe. Not when the Convicts worked 12 hours a day for the corporations. Gabe jumped out of the Six Ton. Gabe ran, ran ran, bullets whipped past him, a man, in front of him, died. A machine gun bullet smashed into his neck, squirting blood and bone. Gabe crashed into the ditch. A Panther, its snorting engine rumbling, and gun protruding like a sword, came forward, it's tracks throwing up dirt and mud and body parts. He moved behind it, coughing from the black smoke it threw into his face. Bullets clinked off its metallic armor. A muzzle flash came from a window of some building, he raised his rifle, peering down the 4x scope. Balancing his breathing, he got the cross hairs over the head of the target. Kicking, the bullet flew from the barrel, slamming into the man head, blood and bone and brain matter flying out the back of his skull. A scream. Gabe looked to his left, another man was down, his stomach hanging out, shrapnel embedded. Gabe tossed himself to the ground, surviving another RPG explosion.

Breathing, heavy, heavy breathing, panting, air struggling to get into his lungs. He arrived at the wall, set up his DMG. He was Tomas Danielle. 19, baby faced, handsome. Now, forever scarred by war. He tugged the DMG into his shoulder, and fired. Bullets, fully automatic, rushed out, fire belching, destroying the air. The enemy ducked, some, unlucky, got hit, red clouds of mist spraying, sometimes bone.

They were the Hunters, Swift, Silent, and Utterly Deadly. They knew death, loved it, relished it. Wanted it. They knew killing, loved it, relished it. Wanted it. They were like ghosts, phantoms in the night, never here, nor there. Gone, with a flash, leaving only death behind. Like Vampires, they fed on the victims' agony and pain. For they were sadists, but not by choice, no, not by choice, but by their program and by their drugs. Nobody was deadlier, nobody was smarter. Nobody, was more ruthless and sick and evil. They were the Hunters, the stalkers, the predators. Nobody saw them. Nobody wanted to see them. Nobody who saw them ever lived. All there was was rumors, nobody survived their attacks. They were the Hunters, and they enjoyed, the hunt, the game. But it was no game. It was real. Real with death and violence almost unimaginable. They done such cruel things that they, even they, were tormented by it, and they, they were sadists. They were the Hunters. They were here to instill fear. And when they were done, men would beg for mercy, women would cry, and children would know that the demons were real.

OOC: My forces are finishing arriving at NC's remaining bases, deployment being as noted here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=12689556) for convenience's sake and thus theoretically underway. If I should have preliminary casualties, we can discuss this although I honestly can't gauge how many at the moment. Oh, and the RPK-555 is simply a 3K10/RPK-55 Granat given the same conventional treatment as the air-launched (even if technically unrelated) Kh-555; just in case you were wondering. I've vaguely heard that something like this may already have been done with a few RL Russian Granats, but for now just assume it's a Wagdoggie field-modification from nuclear Granats where we strip their nuclear warheads out (for spare stocks) and substitute others.
IC
Surviving NC Bases, North Calaveras
Although the Second Reich's missile strikes had been effective, no attack is ever perfect and Wagdog had chosen the ten farthest airbases from TPF forces to deploy to for a reason after all. Most of Wagdog's two Army Groups were now in position. The powerful MBT-30B tanks took up defensive rings outside the towns not under attack yet, while their parent battalions' attached T-17B scout tankettes set up an observation and Spike-ER ATGM picket line. Hopefully, the modifications Wagdog had made to them out of the Czechalrussian original would help. The infantry patrolled the towns' streets with mobile assault guns escorting the APCs, the troops standing outside the roof hatches and trying to buck-up the people's morale with assurances of Victory and Revolutionary Comradeship; but that was tempered by knowledge that Nationalist forces were attacking all combatants and thus Wagdog was still trying to contain the situation. Whether weapons-free or no, however, there were other matters in this theater to attend to that were just developing...

UWS Rosa Luxemburg; Flagship, USSW Fifth Fleet
Admiral Jeanette Ambereye almost growled her were-lynx spirit out as she approached the point of no return. Half the fighters were already airborne, and now it was a matter of simply getting the show started. More OBSATs were already moving into position and getting good fixes on TPF naval assets; fixes that would soon be used.

"All Hands, sound General Quarters; man your battlestations! Get the remaining alert fighters in the air, and then ready an antiship strike targeting their escort screen first. Do not fire yet, since we need to contact Nationalist forces first, but still let's do this right Comrades!" Her zeal was tempered by knowledge, yes; the odds were not good unless Vetalian forces could send something, anything to aid. But still, they would fight...

Within the hour, fully 1500 Su-37K Sea Terminators and 1500 more Su-34K Sea Platypus aircraft were aloft and in position. The Terminators were armed for what they did best: shooting down other planes; with R-37 Arrow, R-27 Alamo in all variants (active and IR homing for the offensive MIGCAP sweep of 1200 Terminators, while SARH and IR homing for the defensive BARCAP of some 300 altogether). The 1500 Playtpi, meanwhile, each packed AAMs under the wing and one Moskit antishipping missile underbelly; these would hold position above the fleet and behind the BARCAP, ready to strike at a moment's notice since up there was better than sitting on the deck waiting for a missile to smash in. The Kamov helicopters in AWACs and ASW variants took to their positions at the picket edge of the fleet, while the warships primed their weapons and defensive systems.

Meanwhile, beneath the waves, the 20 submarines began to confer with OBSAT to load four of six torpedo tubes with RPK-555 Kent-C conventional cruise missiles. Half would pack penetrator warheads to blow sub pens and other hardened naval facilities of TPF once the word to strike came, while the other half would be submunition warheads to damage supplies and kill personnel. That is, once the strike was on of course. For now, the only tubes likely to be fired were those with Shkval supercavitating defensive torpedoes loaded; just in case any TPF submariners got any funny ideas without the Nationalists say-so...

We are uncertain of the current status of your deployment in North Calaveras, and are thus maintaining a state of pre-offensive readiness and high defensive alert pending this knowledge. Essentially, we move to take up the former Vetalian presence which was withdrawn due to matters pertaining to other theaters of operation.

Are you still in position, for the sake of peace, to fire upon any combatant forces in North Calaveras? If so, although we find your methods a bit heavy-handed, we nonetheless congratulate your dedication to peace. Hopefully, with your help if it is indeed available, we can wrench a deal yet here. Over 3,000 Naval Hawks flew into the air, and they were soon joined by the 100 Air Force Hawks. The naval ships' SAM's prepared to intercept and destroy the oncoming fighters. The Army's ABM systems locked on to the enemy cruise missiles, and so did the Navy's. Two interceptor missiles were fire for every incoming cruise missile.

Or rather, to resolve whether I am or not without too much OOC argument, has Terre Nationale bolted completely? To the United Socialist States of Waggdog,

We ramped up our troop numbers in the sector to a regiment,
fourteen hundred men. There was a mass assault. We assure
you, we would have fought and died if they had attacked us,
but they did not. They leap-frogged past our position. Now, our
troops are brave, but one can ask only so much of a man. The
one thousand troops remaining at the 'military island' were pulled
back to a commercial airstrip from which they were lifted off and
taken home. Another fifty, with helicopter support, manned the 22
SAMs we had installed, and fired them at the retreating B-77 Bombers
TPF had launched. And the fifty men were taken home.

True, we have lost no men to this war, but soon we most-likely will.
We are mobilizing three QS-1 Airborne division, 17th Airborne Assault
Division, 88th Light Artillery Glider Division, and the heroic 43rd Strategic
Airborne Insertion Division. Along with these large number of special forces
division, forty-five thousand, the II Infantry Corp will be lightly trained
in air jumps and eighty thousand standard troops will land in the Southern most
tip of North Calian land, along with their armoured assets that will land in
in the Southern most commercial airstrips forming up with II Infantry Corp.

The II Infantry Corp had been trained admirable. The men of the QS-1 forces attempted to train them in less than a day how to fall onto the ground and quickly dispose of their parachutes, but the High Command saw a true issue in this. Broken bones meant a soldier couldn't fire... not just for a few weeks or two, but ever. So he had the men simply get on wooden, diesel engine gliders and fly them all they way to the Southern tip of North Cal, where they'd set up a DPZ (Defensive Perimeter Zone) and allow for a fall back position for so many of the retreating troops, and to also allow the North Calian army to train real troops, not religious fanatics.

The armoured assets, PzH 2000's, Merkavas, and other APC assorted units would be dropped on commercial airstrips and meet up with the rest of the II Infantry Corp at the Northern border of the DPZ, and they would 'ask' North Calian citizens to begin digging tank and artillery ditches until the rest of the II Infantry Corp came and continued the work.
~~
It took a few hours to get the troops and supplies landed, but thanks to the uproar the Wagdog military had caused they were safely able to land where they needed to be, their positions were almost a hundred percent on the dot.

The armoured assets of the II Infantry Corp called some twenty thousand citizens, all of which lived near the DPZ Northern border, to begin construction of the DPZ which would be an articulate network of underground ammunition store houses, bunkers, and ditched where the highly effective Merkava could be hidden, and limit the Nakil's accuracy due to the size of the target. Also the IA rounds were attached to hundreds of Javelin systems, along with their variant with the LAW, and were placed on high hills that would allow maximum effectiveness against Nakil tanks.

Isreali-designed, Nationalist-made Arrow ABM's where set behind the line to make sure cruise missiles would be highly ineffective. Also a line of SAMs where going to be placed behind and integrated with the Arrow line to assure maximum ineffectiveness of any Clandonian air strike. All of these defenses would be ready by the time Clandonia would reach the DPZ.

The 3rd and 2nd Dreadnought Battlegroups had set sail quite awhile back... and had never been recalled. They sliced through the water, each one headed by its 'RAVEN'-Class Superdreadnought, each of these dreadnoughts were surrounded by a multitude of cruisers, destroyers, and frigates... plus the two supercarriers that were also standard of the Red Tidean Dreadnought Battlegroup... they were still several hours away from their destination.

However, the NC Capital was about to recieve a far more serious visit...

Appearing on the RADAR screens of NC, heading straight for their capital, were a horde of over six hundred SBO-04 Strategic Bombers, each one loaded down with a mix of high-explosive ordnance and napalm bombs. Surrounding the massive formation was a group of ten E-112 Airborne Control & Electronic Warfare(ACEW) planes. They had RADARs that not only could see a long way away, but could emit a electromagnetic beam powerful enough to blow out the guidance systems of any surface-air missiles.

Realising that the Red Tide planes would destory any SAM's from the ground or Sidewinders from the air, the Eurofighters dived down and engaged using their cannons whilst the Ground AA guns opened fire the convential way.

Meanwhile, just behind the lines of TPF attack. The 100 M1A2's prepared to launch their own attack. Seeing the Panthers at the bottom of a gentle slope. The Alversian tanks lined up one by one at the top and awaited the command to fire. It didn't take long. "FIRE!" came the order and 100 RAKE shells were fired directly at the TPF armour

Vetakan Defence Force Sixth Naval Battlegroup, 1 days sail from Wagdog Held NC:

After leaving Animarinia with the situation there now calmed the VDF 6th Battlegroup had set sail for the next situation that required their attention the Northern Calaveras Situation in which Vetaka's cloest ally Wagdog was fighting was turning sour and Wagdog need urgent support. As a result at full speed the VDF 6th Battlegroup was sailing to their aid. Being suppiled and restocked by the VDF Logistical Support Fleet the Peoples Class Supply Ship were proving to be invaluable assets.

Now fully stocked and fully supplied the 6th Battlegroup had gone to Amber Alert and as such Air Patrols and ASW Patrols had doubled. As they neared the 1 days sail mark a message was sent to their Wagdog Allies hopefully it would raise the spirits:
OOC: Sorry TPF, but I had a feeling this might become ICly necessary. 'Bigger fish to fry', and all. Thanks for your regard in holding the strike, seriously; if my current nation survives the Hatarian blowup, I can oblige you later.;) For example, if you're still interested in challenging me over Strator later, TG me and we can discuss that. Right now, ICly and OOC, Hataria requires literaly all my attention...

As the communications officer, a Senior Lieutenant Michael Falopian worked the OBSAT terminal with an odd combination of gravitas and alacrity, the following message was sent to the VDF. It was possibly the heaviest-hearted message ever sent by a Wagdoggie commander, but it had to be.

Although the Su-34s landed with their missiles still underwing, the 1500 Su-37s still orbited the fleet in a defensive BARCAP with very explicit orders regarding TPF forces. "Weapons hold; do not fire unless and until fired upon. REPEAT, weapons hold. Await further instructions while covering fleet egress from the area..." The ships made heading for the Vetakan force, both as cover and to rendezvous before deployment elsewhere. A dark day was coming for these forces, and it had only just begun...

North Calaveran Cities and Air Bases
The withdrawal was as sad as it was swift. For both moral and tactical reasons, it had to be. But eventually, the tanks would be airlifted out and the men on their way out; first to home, and thence to Hataria. As the transports and tankers progressively took off, the fighters did in escort with the same purely-defensive orders as the naval fighters had. To speed this process along, the following open declaration of the USSW was sent so as to avoid the matter of the USSW and TPF not having embassies...

Official USSW Announcement Regarding the North Calaveran Situation
What I have to say here, is possibly the heaviest announcement I have ever had to make; but it must and shall be all the same. Our military situation defending our core alliances in the coming Hatarian war is grave, and we literally cannot afford extraneous military commitments whether peaceable or belligerent. Hence, I am officially ordering our forces sent into North Calaveras, in support of Vetalian forces now withdrawn, to themselves pull out and await further orders.
To the President Booch of the Second Reich of the PeoplesFreedom, you may know that although I still oppose your actions in North Calaveras politically, my forces will not engage yours militarily unless forced to by your own. We are going, and know not when or even whether we shall return. Hence, it is probably best if we both simply leave it at that. If your nation's actions in this theater are again as aboveboard as they were when we were cooperating in your occupation, perhaps further confrontation may be unnecessary; and that is my hope in this matter all the same.

Sincerely,
Carolinus Horridus

1400 hours

Waves and radiation. If there was ever a place for them, it was in the dark, sequestered Command Centre of the Ministry of Defence, where the only light was provided from glowing LCD screens mounted on the walls and from computers strewn about the room.

T minus three minutes until missile launch, a digitized female voice trumpted.

Defence Minister Elliot Crompton stood erect at the rear of the room, his uniform crisp, his expression severe.

"Commence launch checklist," he barked.

"VX nerve agent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VX_%28nerve_agent%29), go."
"Fuel, go."
"Guidance, go."
"Communications, go."
"Countermeasures, go."
"Command, go."

Crompton strode to a nearby crimson phone, his footsteps echoing through the room.

"Prime Minister, this is Crompton. Yes, the missiles are ready to go...yes, all seventy...is the launch confirmed?...Yes, sir, launch will commence immediately."

T minus five, four, three, two, one...

Seventy missiles screamed through the sky towards the Calaveran capital at supersonic speeds, loaded with the most deadly nerve agent ever developed by mankind.

Trucks, thousands of the, drove. Metal constantly clanged against other metal, sometime causing the slightest spark. They drove to the artillery positions, and began the long and boring process of unloading. There were thousands upon thousands of shells. In the trenches, men prepared, donning NBC suits as well as loads of extra ammo and grenades. Panthers and Wolves started their engines, belching smoke and oil. Helicopters and aircraft buzzed overhead. It would be a long night.

At Midnight, thousands upon thousands of artilley guns roared in the night. Thousands of shells, a combination of HE and V Tear Gas both, crashed all over the city. MLRS systems slammed into known enemy positions. The planes began to bomb and strafe. Some even dropped napalm and firebombs. Under the cover of the gas and shells, hundreds of thousands of infantry advanced, along with tanks and IFV's. Helicopter divisions stood by, ready to capture objectives. The infantry were equipped with all that was needed for the job, rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, flamethrowers, knives, pistols, SMG's, AGTM's, and various other weapons. And, as a bonus, planes and artillery were ready to destroy at a moments notice.

OOC: sorry, i should have mentioned they are modified. My entire airforce is carrier-based, so most of the fighters i use are modified.

IC: The volley of missles hit the fighter formations, 35 were knocked from the sky, plummeting in flames to the sea. The aircraft returned fire, 120 missles streaked towards the oncoming hostiles in two volleys of 60. The fighters then broke formation, veering off in seemingly random directions to disrupt the accuracy of any further massed attacks.

"multiple missles inbound, headed toward the transports."

"Move the destroyers to sheild the transports, target those missles and fire evrything you've got at them when they get in range!"

the incoming missles sped toward the ships. Three destroyers who had moved in the path of fire to the transports were ripped apart by the massive explosions on their decks. 2 were immobilized, and 2 others were damaged, yet functioning. An aircraft carrier had taken hits, and it's top deck was ablaze and unusable. One of the transports took a glancing hit, and two of its upper decks ignited, killing nearly 8,000 soldiers and destroying 300 tanks. the other missles had either missed or been hit with lucky shots by the stream of AA fire.

The Remaining ships readied their defenses and waited for the oncoming aircraft to get within range, as the transports continued on course, the beach now in sight.

General Mcalpin prayed that the transports would somehow survive, as they were to be used for civilian rescue should North Calveras be the victim of a Nuclear strike.

The transports reached land, and began unloading as quicky as possible, as all functioning ships formed a defensive ring around them. half of the remaining F-16's pursued the aircraft attacking the transports, firing their remaining missles, while the other half headed towards the hostile B-77's.

the torpedoes hit as the transports began unloading, and killed 1300 unloading soldiers. The defending ships fired a stream of missles, rockets, and AA gun ammo at the attacking aircraft.

several minutes later, as the transports were about 1/3 unloaded, the B-77 volley hit, destroying one of the damaged destroyers and one undamaged destroyer who were in the directly blocking the transports. The two ships were utterly obliterated, as dozens of missles hit their hulls. one missle hit the beach, causing an explosion that killed 250 more soldiers, and one directly hit the back of a transport, which was mostly empty of passengers, and almost all of the remaining crew was killed by the exlposion that swept through the ship.

The ground forces had finished unloading, and immediatly proceeded inland to he nearest freindly North Calvarian city, the 1000 huge supply trucks driving in the center sorrounded by takns, the APC's containing the infantry at the front and behind the tanks, and the anti-aircraft vehicles serving as the rear guard. The supplies in the trucks would last them two weeks, at which point they would have to rely on the North Calvarians.

The 30 F-16's that were still with the navy ignored the fighters, and instead fired the remaining 60 missles they had at the aircraft still attacking the transports. The other 30 were all destroyed by the B-77 rockets, but not before they had fired their remaining missles as well. The reamnants of the fleet fired their own anti-shipping missles at the approaching fleet, and then veered away from North Calveras shore. All but three destroyers, the AEIGIS cruiser, one aircraft carrier, and two battleships were destroyed or immobilised. These stayed put to make a last stand, firing at the attacking aircraft and preparing their deck guns for when the enemy navy approached within range..

As the Alversia fighters sidewinders primarily missed their mark, fired dumb, they were as ineffective as unguided rockets. One did manage to catch a SBO-4 in its sights, the bombers wing seperated from the aircraft... both of them tumbled out of the sky.

The Sea Battle
The two Red Tidean Dreadnought Battlegroups now entered within 500 kilometers of the Lord Sumguy fleet. The enemy fleet was within both gun and anti-ship missile range of the Red Tidean Fleet.

"Sirs!" The RADAR man on the overall flagship of the two Battlegroups, the SDN-02, said, "Enemy is a 100 kilometers within CM-4 range. We can launch at any time."

The two Rear Admiral's conferred with each other... then said: "Destroy all enemy ships..."

In a jet of fire and smoke, 1,000 CM-4s roared into the sky. The rocket boosters put them up to 100,000 feet in the air. As a comparison, most fighter jets ceilings topped out at 60-70,000 feet, it was also far above any anti-aircraft gun level.

The rocket boosters fell away and the SCRAMjets ignited, pushing the missile up to mach-6. The enemy would certainly see them, but there wasnt anything they could do about them. The SCRAMjets would propel the missiles near their targets via inertial guidance, then, once sufficiently close enough, the RADARs would switch on and guide the missiles the rest of the way. Then the SCRAMjets would cut-off and send the missiles into a guided free-fall.

THe missiles would descend out of the sky at Mach-8... far to fast for any CIWS to react. The missiles 588 kilogram warheads, with armored nosecones were designed to destroy Superdreadnoughts in a few hits, against the lightly armored Lord Sumguy ships... it would be a slaughter.

Fleet Admiral Jacobs stood on the deck of his battleship, watching the horizon.
"c'mon you dogs, get within range....."
Suddenly alarms blared throughout the ships, as the radar picked up the incoming missles. Jacobs went below deck and looked at the scanner for a moment. We are doomed he thought, there is no way to get out of this alive....
He walked to his quarters, turned on the microphone, and said to all of the crewmen:
"Now is the time for us to die for our country, it has been an honor commanding you."
Seconds later the missles slammed into the remaining ships, destroying all of them.

OOC: all vehicles were already started at the time of the landing, and they exited around 15 MPH, i wasnt exaclty taking my time... also, the transports are very large (a bit bigger than an oil tanker, but much lower and wider), hence why there were only 3 for so many troops, and up to 20 tanks can fit in a row inside. that means 60 tanks every 7 or 8 seconds. (3000/60)x8 = 400 seconds, which is 6.6 minutes. I also have 6000 APC's and 800 SAM vehicles, whic would bring it up to about 20 minutes. an extra ten minuts for straggelers and malfunctions.

A Socialist Nation is NOT Worth Losing Nationalist Troops for.
Fighting a Fellow Capitalist Nation Simply for Military Experience
has been Deemed Unnecessary.
We are hereby pulling out of North Calvares.

The actual withdrawal came two days before the official letter was sent. The tank pits had been abandoned, though use of them by the North Calian army is still plausible. The SAMs have been dis-assembled and put on Hercules planes, flown back to mainland Terre Nationale. The hundred thirty SAM silos have been evacuated, again still useful to the North Calian army. The trenches, miles of mines, and Arrow systems have been abandoned. Though all of these, except the Israeli ABMs, could still be of use to the North Calian army.

Eighty thousand troops, and armoured assets, were placed on aeronautical vehicles and flown back to Terre Nationale airspace. The last of which, eight hundred infantrymen, are now boarding their C-5 Transport Planes. We apologize for our withdrawal after committing so much effort, but as the first reason stands. OOC: BL, Tungsten Rods dont blow up several square miles. They are not nukes, sure they release the equivalent kinetic energy as a low yield nuke... but not all at once. Due to the shape of the rod, the amount of energy released upon initial impace is that of a medium sized conventional bomb utilising high explosives. The rod continues to release this amount of kinetic energy as it penetrates, until they release all their kinetic energy.

So dont expect to destroy a whole city block with them, just expect to destroy a single building plus whatever is underneath it for about, oh, 100 meters. Tungsten Rods are great if you want to destroy a individual facility or sink a capital ship... they can also be used as rather expensive runway cratering weapons, although I would personally use cluster munitions for that. But they will not wipe out entire cities/parts of cities.

Show time. the swarm of fighter follwoed the intercept course. in about 5 minutes they would reach the bombers. the F-22's fired of their long range missles. the enemy would have no way of knowing about the missle as they were coated in a radar jamming metal. the rest of the craft armed all Air-to-Air missle and prepared to fire chaff if needed. The 3 F/A-37 Talon's lead the force they were the best of the best. some of the top aces...maybe in the world. they were ready. they had fought and trained. and to them this was just a couple of more Xs on the side or their planes.

OOC: Before you complain: Ive had this trick used on me before.

IC: "Inbound missile launches..." Said the RADAR operator as he simultaneously flicked a switch.

The RADAR Dish ontop of the AWEC Aircraft was powerful... powerful enough to detect stealth aircraft, burn through all but the heaviest jamming at distance, and emit what was known as a ElectroMagnetic(EM) Beam. The consequences of being touched by this invisible beam was the same as being hit by the electricmagnetic pulse from a very high altitude nuclear detonation: any electronics touched overloaded and blew out.

The missile guidance systems were electronic. Every single missiles guidance system blew out, most of the missiles went dumb... they no longer sought out their targets, but simply moved in the direction they were travelling when their electronics blew out. As soon as the beam was finished, the remaining missiles were confused as jammers powerful enough to knock out the RADARs even ontop of the ACEW craft were activated. At a shouted order, the bomber formation made a slight adjustment in course, and watched as the missiles sailed right past them. The missiles would continue heading in that direction until they ran out of fuel.

The bombers then put themselves back on course.

IC: As the MiGs enetered cannon range, they ran into a nasty shock: The Red Tidean bombers had 30mm autocannons on their bombers. The tight formation also meant the bombers would have more concentrated firepower then any of the MiGs.

EDIT: IC: When the bombs detonated... nothing happened. Red Tide wasnt that stupid, they had hardened their equipment to withstand electromagnetic pulses and beams.

Strategic Bomber Model-2004(SBO-04)

Background: When it came to the airforce, Red Tide has always been neglegent. The airforce lacks modern air superiority fighters, stuck with a modified version of the highly obsolete MiG-29. The airforces role had been put into 'flying artillery', exemplified by the H/K-1 Surface-Attack Aircraft, which can carry virtually any air-surface weaponry in the Red Tidean Arsenol.

However, the H/K-1 couldnt deliver that heavy of a bomb load. So the Tech-Com Corporation was handed the job of designing and manufacturing a relatively inexpensive strategic bomber with intercontinental range. In essence, the SBO-04 is not equipped with any fancy electronics, is not stealthed, and is, above all, cheap. The primary role of the main model of the SBO-04 is to deliver sufficiently large amounts of conventional, chemical, biological, or nuclear warheads on its target. A more sophisticated and more expensive version is designed to deliver air-launched, anti-ship cruise missiles. The following specifics are about the former.

Specifics:

Crew: 9-10(Pilot, co-pilot, bombadier, navigator, radio operator, flight engineer, 3 gunners(one in front, two in back) weapons officer*)
Length: 31 meters approx
Wingspan: 44 meters approx
Height: 8.5 meters
Empty Weight: 34,000 kg approx
Armament: x3 30mm autocannons(2 at tail, one at front)
Powerplant: 4 JE-02 Jet engines providing 4,000 hp each.
Maximum Speed: 400 mph
Cruise Speed: 300 mph
Maximum Range: 34,000 km
Service Ceiling: 40,000 feet
Bomb Payload: 21,000 lb

*To be included only in case of the presence of nuclear warheads.

The two Field Marshalls sat at the GHQ of TPF attack and watched as the continued assault continued. The Alversian troops had now completely withdrawn apart from a squadron of Eurofighters which were protecting the last Alversian Transports.

They had also come with a proposition for TPF Army. "Now that we have withdrawn and are neutral" They began "There is no reason why Alversian Soldiers and Airman sould not be allowed to volunteer for your Army. Most of them are battle hardened and very well trained and would serve you well should you choose to accept them. However, as we are a free country, there is no reason why some Troops shouldn't also volunteer for the NC Army. They would use their own weapons and tactics but fight under your banner. What do you so?"

Numbers that would volunteer to fight are:
TPF: - 1,000 Troops (2 Regiments)
NC: - 2,000 Troops (4 Regiments)
