The voice of the dead man haunted me and seemed to resonate deep within my soul - if I indeed were still in possession of such a thing - yet I could not make myself stop listening to the tape. It seemed to hold a clue, but it was just out of reach, just past the edge of oblivion.

Something about the last murder scene bugged me. It was not the fact that the same song had been playing over and over, just as I was doing with my tape now. It was more the words themselves. There was something...

...about them. They reminded me of Northern Borders. I didn't know much about him, but I had seen a note he had written earlier and his penmanship did indeed resemble... Resemble what, exactly?

It resembled the way he earlier in the day, at about 2:16 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12487914&postcount=216) PM had spoken about Ghost Tigers Rise. And, frankly, the words he used did bear a striking resemblance to how one of the Mafia would speak, his accent was apparent.
I did not feel that I had gathered sufficient evidence to condemn the man, but under the circumstances it would surely be Northern Borders neck on the guillotine if I had been forced to make a choice. I shivered and decided to get myself another drink.

=POPE= Saint Chaplain Damned Colonial "Ifreann" The First, CypsW Ruffino, FUG Commissar of Socially Sarcastic Spam, NBCyIpsWP Minister of Pet Distribution, Governor General Of Ireland, Member Of The Fourth NSG Parliament, Epikopos of an anonymous Cabal, Author of Instructia Discordia, Thread Stealer Extrordinaire, Renowned Puppet Detector, the NS Laxative, while wandering through the verdant fields where he usually found his random cat pictures, was startled to spot something that stood out amongst the foliage. It was the fire of the distant torches of the mob of angry Generalites slowly but surely coming his way.
However, Ifreann was distracted from the approaching mob by the sight of a leprechaun. He chased it into a forest, where he also chanced upon a unicorn drinking peacefully from a stream that also happened to be at the end of a beautiful rainbow. The unicorn was a bit taken aback, but deigned to let Ifreann pet its white mane before scampering off into the distance. The leprechaun also had disappeared while Ifreann was petting the unicorn.
Ifreann chased after the unicorn, but tripped over a small stone. As his head hit the ground, he remembered how funny the whiskey he drank earlier that evening tasted…
As the townspeople approached, the life was draining out of Ifreann’s body, as the combination of a serious concussion and (accidental?) drug overdose took its toll on him. The last thing Ifreann saw was the unicorn a short distance away, shedding a tear for the death of yet another innocent…

Meanwhile, Kiryu-shi and Chandelier were conversing.
“Are you sure you did the right thing?”
“Absolutely. After all, Ifreann was so helpful with his analysis, and he got nothing but suspicion for it. Besides, the game would get rather boring if all of the lynching scenes were literally carried out by lynching…it needs some variety.”
“All right. As long as it’s what you think was best…”

Also, as I'm away and barely online, send it to Chandelier, not me.

The lights were flickering as the power in the house slowly died. The house itself was in disarray and looked like a bomb had gone off. In fact a bomb had gone off. A solitary figure crawled through the mess slowly, blood seeping from the stomach. The lights died as did Northern Borders.

It was snowing outside blanketing everything in a cleansing layer including the rubble and a pancake? A strange thing to find but not the only thing. Also in the snow lay a UN flag and a toy robot. Maybe they were items belonging to the victim or maybe they were clues.

Townspeople, you have three days to vote. It is now Day.

That damn pancake is still there... and now a UN flag. UN Protectorates I suppose...

I'm back watching over everyone. :)

Darkness. Cold. Feeling... Feeling pain. Blurred vision. Specks of light. Pain is good. Pain means life. Am I on fire? No, just the pain. It is difficult to breathe. I can see flames now. Can I get to my feet? Yes, I'm moving...

The broken metal of what used to be a lamp has cut my shoulder, but as long as it didn't hit any further to the right I will never complain. The wood sticking out of my leg is worse, but I will survive it after getting it out and some stitches in. Beyond that it's all just cuts and bruises, and a dislocated shoulder. I find myself sitting in black snow, staring at the fire just ahead of me. I can see the broken body of Northern Borders and the pancake, that accursed pancake, lying in the rubble.

I remembered everything now, as I was slowly getting to my feet. I stood observing the scene for a couple of minutes and lit a cigarette. I remembered moving up the walkway towards the house, getting ready to knock on the door when all of a sudden there was a brilliant flash of light and a deafening boom knocking me down. I remembered... well, it didn't matter now. Looking around on the ground, I found my gun. It had been knocked out of my hand at the time of the blast.

I smiled to myself and started walking away from the smoking rubble. The only good thing that had transpired tonight was that the mafia had stopped me from shedding innocent blood. I was going to have to write the name of either Darknovae or UN Protectorates on a bullet, but at least I wouldn't be tarnishing my conscience by doing any killing just now.

Well, Kiryu... get ready to write another innocent lynching scene...

The Pancake was sitting around on top of a rabbit's head when she heard the footsteps of three people on the floor. Although Darknovae urged the rabbit to hop away as fast as possible, Utracia's hand swooped down and stuck a fork right threw her midsection. He lifted her up and tossed her back to the bag which Rameria held open. Christmahanikwanzikah grabbed the rabbit as well, just in case. All in all, it was a fast and efficient pancakenapping. When the Pancake came too, she found herself under a spotlight in a small dark room, in an open circular waffle iron. The blessed Chris, Londim and Deus Malum all stood in her view. They started questioning her about the murders that were taking place around town, trying to find out her explanation for the reasons why her minions were found at the various scenes of the crimes. However, they did not get any answers, as it seems pancakes don't have mouths. As they grew more and more impatient, Darknovae grew more and more frantic. Being turned into a waffle would kill her soul. She could not, however, proclaim her innocence. Finally, after an hour or so of questioning, UN Protectorates closed the iron upon Darknovae, leaving only the ghost of a pancake to haunt the mafia-ridden town.

A few miles away, a single tear rolled down the face of a rabbit hopping along an empty road.

Darknovae was innocent. It is now Night.

Scene: A park. The body is found behind some bushes.

Clues: There seems to be a blue rag with a bit of white mixed in. Also there seems to be a bottle of beer. Heineken. Maybe the killers favourite beverage.

It is now day. Townspeople, you have three days to vote.

This scene seems to be a bit lacking in clues to me...I've asked the mafia for the cause of death, so an autopsy report should follow.

There are five people left alive and two of them are in the mafia. The townspeople still have a chance as it is now, but if they guess incorrectly this time then the mafia will have won. There would be four people left after the lynching, and then three left after the murder, two of which would be mafia. The mafia would vote together against the innocent townsperson and then would win.

However, if the townspeople guess correctly this time, then there will be two townspeople against one mafia person, and the townspeople will win if they guess correctly

So this is the crucial round. It is more crucial than ever that everyone vote. I haven't heard from the blessed chris at all during this game, however...

The autopsy is still in progress, (meaning that the mafia hasn't told me the cause of death yet...) so you will receive that information once it is complete (i.e. once they tell me).

I predict a loss for the townspeople and I blame everyone else for it.

As only half of the participants have voted so far this round, I think we'll have to hold off on the lynching scene until I get at least another vote or two. So if you see anyone who has yet to vote, please let them know that there vote is needed as soon as possible.

Londim hung up the phone in his room and sat down on the edge of his bed to think about his next move. He had a feeling that people were beginning to suspect him, and with the amount of murders taking place lately, you can never be sure what desperate, suspicious people are willing to do. But he was reasonably certain that he wasn’t going to die, he was too young, he had too much to live for to think that his life would end this soon. Nevertheless, he was tense as he pondered the events of the last few days, wondering what else he could have done, and what he can do to make up for any missteps he might have made.

THUNK, THUNK!

He heard a knocking on his door, startling him out of his reverie, making him fall off the bed. He picked himself up and peeked through the window to see who was at the door, only to see the side of a UPS delivery man holding a package. Londim breathed a sigh of relief as he went to answer the door, it was nothing malicious, yet. As Londim opened the door, a flock of birds took off from a nearby tree, momentarily catching his eye.

However, Christmahanikwanzikah, his face partially hidden underneath his UPS hat, was very focused. He shoved the heavy box into Londim’s chest, and yelled out, “NOW!” Deus Malum, knife in hand, lead the few remaining townspeople out from their various hiding positions and pounced on the stunned Londim…

…It wasn’t pretty. Londim’s body, barely recognizable, lay on the threshold of his own home, as the townspeople, once again, were driven to kill by the mafia murders. However, the key difference was the bloody knife found in the sink of Londim’s kitchen. He apparently never had a chance to clean it off after he helped murder Rameria.

Londim was Guilty. It is now Night

As such, the game will be open setup. Also, expect the game to have a theme for maximum hilarity.

Traditional mafia win con is that the mafia must outnumber or equal the townies. This town is in Lynch or Lose, and has been for a couple of days.

Yup.

UN Protectorates was at his home when, to his amazement, the ghost of Londim appeared before him. Londim screamed, “What have you been doing all this time? The bosses will be very displeased with you…come on, we need a murder, and fast!”

UN Protectorates said, “No! They’re suspicious of me. I was trying to lie low for a while, but now that you mention it, I need to get out of here so that the bosses don’t get me.”

Londim said, “You can’t…”, but UN Protectorates paid him no heed and fled the scene, hurrying towards the nearest airport.

When he arrived, things went disturbingly well at first. He managed to get first class tickets for a plane that would leave in an hour and a half, for a relatively low price.

Things turned sour when he saw two men, or rather robots disguised as men, he recognized. They approached him and one covertly placed his hand on the back of UN Protectorates neck. UN Protectorates was well aware of the blade that could pop out of the robot’s finger at will, so he did not resist when they told him to walk with them.

They took him to a dark room in the airport, hidden from the public, and locked him in, waiting outside.

Two voices, coming from two pairs of glowing eyes, one orange and the other red, said in unison, “You have displeased us, UN Protectorates. It’s been too long since Londim was caught without another murder. Since you have failed to make one, we will have to.”

UN Protectorates was found crushed by a fallen chandelier, his face covered with a pie. The last sound he heard was a sound reminiscent of a squirrel’s sinister giggle.

The game is over. Needless to say, UN Protectorates was the other mafia, aside from Londim. So the remaining townspeople have survived.
