Imperial Palace, Miana, Whyatica
Flanked by a cadre of Secret Service men, the Prime Minister of Imperial Whyatica as well as the Emperor himself exited the main hallway of the Palace, where a massive crowd of carefully screen civilians, reporters, and other such people were waiting, chattering amongst themselves, waiting for what this announcement would be. They were all carefully watched by the Palace guards, all armed with pressurized water weapons as well as other non-lethal dealies in case things got out of hand.

"Today," the Prime Minister said, his amplified voice stretching across the massive courtyard of the Palace, "I have asked the Parliament for a declaration of war against the nation of British Londinium." he said with finality, his booming voice sending the audience into a wild, nationalistic cheer.

"The Londiniumites are a barbaric people, my fellow Whyaticans - they have declared an open season upon their own children, hunting them for sport (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12145526&postcount=16). Their leader called for..open executions," McMillin said, distastefully, "of any woman who happens to get pregnant during this open season. They condone such brutal tortures as flaying through large blenders, rape, electrocution, and the punching of pregnant women using spiked gloves. These..travesties cannot be allowed to continue, my friends, my people. As such, Parliament has agreed with me - They issued a declaration of war against the Londiniumites, and our allies, brothers, will follow with us to victory, to save the oppressed peoples of British Londinium." With cheering in front of him, Prime Minister McMillin stepped off the podium, and he was escorted back into the Palace by the waiting guards.

"Welcome back to iNews, ladies and gentlemen, this is Frederick Steele reporting from the Caladan Isle Army Base. It's a madhouse here, with the army preparing to go off on yet another adventure here. I can see nearly as many reporters here as--" Frederick was shoved aside briefly by an impatient soldier, "oof, as soldiers! With Parliament's declaration of war, Prime Minister McMillin and Emperor Paulus have been given supreme command of the army as their rights under the Constitution of 1831, and they are deploying the 2nd Theatre Force to British Londinium. That's over two thousand ships and one million men, give or take, and an inside source told me, personally, that the allies of the Empire will get involved as well! That's an overwhelming amount of force, and not many nations could withstand it. Back to you, Linda." Frederick said, as he was shoved aside by another soldier, irritated with all the press.

"Thanks, that was Frederick Steele reporting from the Caladan Isle Military Base. In other news regarding the Imperial-Londiniumite War, the Imperial Marine Corps is offering an increased signing bonus to anyone who wishes to enlist today! Thousands are flocking to the recruitment centres, trying to take advantage of the lucrative opportunities enlistment gets.."

IWSS Gorgon, Space above British Londinium
"We have our standing orders now, men. Those boys down on the brown have declared war on some nation called British Londinium, and they've sent us intel on their satellites. Us and the Apollo are going to sweep over their land and destroy all of their satellites we find. We're waiting for the Izistani space fleet to join us before we do anything, though." Captain Shermer said. Being in command of the flagship of the Imperial space fleet was hard work - things were constantly malfunctioning in the test runs, and it just seemed like now they had a measure of normalcy.

The second Imperial combat ship, the Apollo, moved into formation next to the Gorgon, and sent an encrypted transmission to the Izistani space fleet..

" General Braddock, sir, it seems that Whyatica has declared war on our ally, British Londinium."
" We knew it was only a matter of time..."
" Yes sir, orders?"
" The people will revolt against us if we openly help them with military might. If they invade their homeland we might be able to assist, in the meantime, be ready, but there is nothing we can do, other than give them loans and material."

Clandonian Parliament, Danskeran Hill, Clanon City

'Mr Speaker, after hearing of the election news tonight I now take proud control as president of Clandonia Prime. It is of my first duty to bring you all the news of the rogue state of British Londinium who has been recently heard of committing acts of genocide, tourture, rape against their own people. I hereby with the support of the tri-party war council order the declaration of war on the nation of British Londinium, as we speak the brave servicemen and women of the Clandonian armed forces are preparing for the grand invasion with our glorious allies. And finally, I give this an open message to the people of British Londinium, fear not for your days of opresion are numbered. There will be suffering, we will try our best to avoid colateral damage but we fear with a government as opresive as yours who uses blenders on small children that deaths of the civillian nature will be high.'

As the cheers filled the rooms of the cherry wood walls of the parliament building the fleets of the Clandonian navy prepared to break anchor and head out to sea, to join up for the grand invasion. As bomber crews and various aircrewmen prepared bombers for the haul to British Londinium, democracy was a good thing as many a Clandonian had seen in the recent events, this time another nation would have the open invitation to freedom and peace.

Clandonian Naval Command, Old Admiralty Square, Danskeran

'Sir the fleets are preparing to move out now, port tugs are moving the capital submarines from their deep water bearths. CNN is reporting of people turning up to watch the fleet go off.'

'Excellent, I will go and be a man of the people and join them once I have finished signing these orders.'

The pen the man signed worker furiously as the 'By your command' orders were signed for and then faxed to the retrospective naval departments for the massive deployment. Over 400,000 troops had been tasked to be involved in the initial landings, half were army and the other half Clandonian Republican Marines as inteligence officers poured over the satelite and topograpy of the British Londinium island grouping. Working on prime landing spots as well as deep water areas for the massive fleets of the Clandonian navy which would be unloading the heavy equipment for the extensive land war.

Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky, President for Life of the United States of Allanea, looks angry. He stands in front of a podium, his face turning slighlty red. He grabs the microphone with strength, as if it was a knife, and begins speaking into it:

“Okay, motherfuckers, listen up. Now, I know Allanea just finished rebuilding after a war with the Reich, and many of us are reluctant to use our military in a war again – but these retard motherfuckers in British Londinium are really fucked-up in the head. Really. They even make the goddamn idiot scumsuckers that comprise the Reich government look good, and that's a motherfucknig achievement if I ever saw one. These motherfuckers actually kill and torture women who get pregnant on the wrong week of the month, believe it or not. Actually, they kill them, put their flesh in fucking blenders, and then make their families drink it.”

“No, I kid you not. On your computers, and on the White House website, you can find proof and copies of their own official releases saying so.”

Congress roared in anger. On the computer screens monitoring the Online Direct Democracy System, the effect of Kazansky's speech was already seen – hundreds of thousands of voters transferred their endorsements to the most conservative, pro-war Congress members they could find – those that would be most likely to declare war on British Londinium. Afterwards they would of course withdraw the endorsements again – but now, it was clear - British Londinium had to die.

“You know what? Our friends in Whyatica have already declared war on these lame idiots! Our friends in Cravan are already fighting them! We should be fucking ashamed of ourselves because we haven't yet send our boys in green there to kill these retards! I say we need these idiots dead! Dead I say!”

Pictures floated on the screen behind Kazansky – imagery of the horrendous atrocities committed in British Londinium even now.

Forty minutes later, Congress approved war against Londinium at a 75%-20% margin, with 5% abstained.

Fort-Czapp, Allanea

“Sailors! We're going to war again!”

The sailors roared their approval.

“It's now time to kill the leadership of British Londinium!”

Again, an approving roar.

“We will burn their government offices! And sink their ships! And destroy their corrupt system of oppression! And break down their military! And trample upon their flag! Are you up for some slaughter, sailors?”

“YES, SIR!”

And so, the First Force Projection Fleet (http://z12.invisionfree.com/Allanea/index.php?showtopic=4&st=0&#entry1931915) went to war.

TYRANINGRAD, Coheningrad, Jaredcohenia

"Comrades..." Grandgeneral Ivan Cohen stood at the podium. "It has come to our attention that several nations are declaring war against that hellhole of a nation British Londinium. Recently, the British Londinium...inites? declared that all babies were to be shot at and women raped and killed or whatever, I'm not good with remembering things." The legistlators in the Jaredcohenian Tyraningrad chuckled. "So we'll have a playback."

The message from British Londinium was played.

"So, men, I ask you to declare war on the British Londiniuminites. Whyatica, Clandonia Prime, Allanea...those are some of the names of the nations that have already declared war on these scumbags. So what do you say men?"

Voting began. After an hour, the verdict came back. It played on the screen behind. 63% in favor, 32% against, 5% abstain. "Odd numbers..." Ivan spoke, not realizing he was on microphone. "Oh, fuck. So it seems like the Jaredcohenian Army will march onward."

The Premier, being the douche he is, was not paying attention at his desk. He could've been watching the channel that broadcasts the actions at the Tyraningrad...but he was watching Zukariaan Girls Gone Wild. "Why don't they look like that here..."

The Prime Minister was happy. Happy and mad. "This is the kind of thing I like to see. I'm sick of all this national sovereignty bullshit. A person's a person, whether a Londinian or a Harakian, and they deserve the same damned rights. I've even been arguing for a war against these bastards to parliament for what is it, three weeks now?"

Vanessa Spence, his deputy, nodded her head. "About three weeks, yes. And, of course, some are in favour, some aren't. Mr Quinn raised some good points. We still have most of our professional divisions tied up in Danteri, plus extras and the Dragoons in Pantera. I don't know if we could risk a full-scale war without limited mobilization as when we were going to war with Okielahoma, and I wouldn't advise that, unless we want a recession."

He nodded glumly. "I know all that. Still, we've always, always been the ones stepping in and defending what's right. Fighting the evil countries, killing the dictators, overthrowing the genocidal regimes. Since our first stepping onto the international stage under Ryan, that bastard. Now ... We're getting slack, Vanessa. It used to be we could be counted on to send troops to help the rebels, damned be the international community. Nowadays, we seem to be counted on for Pete to send a scathing remark without any force to back it up."

"I wasn't in politics back then, Jaime, you know that. But from what I've seen, the reason we're not getting into shit is that it seems everyone's in an alliance nowadays, and we're not the international powerhouse we used to be. Unless we want to call on Gholgoth again..."

"I've been working on them," he replied, in a tone of voice that betrayed his tiredness. "No one's actually pledged support for a strike against British Londinium or EVIL itself. If we do this, we do it alone - for now - unless we lose and they bail us out."

"Not really alone. Pretty much everyone hates them for their child-killing antics, and even the other members of EVIL seem to be growing tired of them antagonizing the rest of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if this turned into a massive fight against one nation, with us, Allanea, Whyatica, Clandonia - don't give me that look, apparently they're democratic now - and anyone else that decides to join in."

He sighed and rubbed his fingers against his temples. "Before we enter anything formally, I want a report from Kidd on the state of readiness of what forces we don't have deployed to Danteri or Pantera. If we have enough that he feels we can easily contribute enough to not look like weaklings without mass mobilizing too many troops and destabilizing the economy, well ... Tomorrow I'll introduce a motion to declare war on them. With the majority we'll pass it, but it'll be interesting to see what parties vote for or against it."

Official Statement From the Harakian Government:

This is a message for all those involved in the war against British Londinium. You have our full support in taking those fuckers down, and we'll help you however we can. A formal declaration of war may be forthcoming in the next few days, followed by limited Harakian deployment of primarily air and naval forces to assist your endeavours. Kill the bastards, but remember that we're after the government and the army, not the civilians. If anyone willfully attacks civilian targets, especially with NBC weapons, you'll have to answer to us once this is all over. Also, I expect mass desertions as soon as ground combat begins, so be ready to house lots of prisoners. Good luck and good hunting.

Imperial Department of Foreign Affairs
Official Dispatch to the World
Declaration of War

It is with the utmost urgency I must today state my disgust at the government of British Londinium. A psychopathic and despotic regime calling itself a freedom loving democracy, the government of British Londinium must be put to a stop before more of its citizens are harmed by its barbaric policies. Therefore, with great haste I put motion WD-32A before the Imperial Senate today, which passed one-hundred-seventy to six. WD-32A specifically states:

We, the Libertarian Empire of Cravan, do henceforth proclaim our intentions to intervene in and disrupt Brittanic government policies which have the aims of harming the citizenry of British Londinium. As a result, a state of war does now officially exist between the Brittanic regime and the Libertarian Empire. Immediate deployment of the Second Imperial Task Force is to take place immediately, and will assist our allies in the defense of human rights of the Brittanic people. Signed twenty-nine December, two-thousand and six by Head Director Vince Gallens.

And so, it is with great conviction that I hereby wish our fighting men and women luck in their mission to protect the freedom of the Brittanic people, and to restore their civil rights and priveliges under a new and more sane and level-headed regime.

Signed,

Vince Gallens

Oured, Cravan
Oured Naval Facilities

The First Imperial Task Force was being loaded up, two-hundred fifty-eight ships in all. Over 250,000 troops were being loaded on, with 6000+ armored vehicles readied for combat. The stage was set for the largest Cravanian deployment in some time, after years of smaller police actions having dominated Cravanian military operations. Finally, war was happening once again.

Fleet Admiral Sir William Richards IV stood on the bridge of the INS Espada del Imperio, the pride of the Imperial fleet. He watched as lines of men and women boarded the transports, appearing like ants from this dock. The fleet itself looked magnificent agaisnt the cityscape of Oured, carrier aircraft buzzing about on air patrols and helicopters moving materials to the ships from the docks. It was a scene of organized chaos as the fleet prepared for war.

"Admiral, two hours before we put to sea."
"Excellent.", the elderly man said with a smirk. "Let us dust off our old toys and prepare for a fight."

**************************

"So... What you heard about this British Londinium place?"
"I've heard its a hellhole where the government's more or less insane. Which is why we're going in."

Corporal Harold Baggins, 41st Imperial Infantry Division, let out a sigh as he approached the gangway to the Mercer-class assault ship, his MG55A3 SAW slung over his shoulder. A cigarette hung from his lip, a puff of smoke occasionally rising from it. As he stepped onto the gangway, he threw the cigarette into the murky waters of Oured Harbor.

"So we're going in with our allies to help out some oppressed people? Sounds like a classic intervention.", Private Samantha Karr said sarcastically, her M2 carbine held at rest as she approached the gangway behind Baggins. She threw the rifle over her shoulder, and began the walk up. The line moved slowly, but they continually made progress until reaching the deck of the ship.

"Let's just hope we don't see too much action."
"Amen to that, brother."

As the last of the soldiers boarded the assault ships, the gangways were pulled in. Cargo would be loaded until the ships began to pull out from the harbor. The First Task Force would be put to sea within the hour.

Four hundred kilometers above international waters, closing on Whyatican orbital forces.

The banging of the reaction control system was unfortunately conducted by Doc Holliday's armored hull, that and the sound of the klaxon's summoning the crew to action station only proved one point.

Izistani orbital combatants were horribly noisy places. Holliday did absolutely nothing to disprove that particular point. She was one of the new Flight II Gorgons, replacing the ships sold off to No endorse*, and thus considerably more potent. Her primary gun had a reported 'feasible' engagement range of around a light second, which was impressive if one didn't realize that it ate away at the “mirror” with every shot. She'd normally carry two drones, but it seems no one had purchased them yet...

Command Center, inside Izistani Orbital Combatant Doc Holliday.

“Preparing to match orbits...Now.”

The surge of sudden acceleration pressed Commandant Richardson of the Izistani Aerospace Forces back into the command couch as the Holliday thrust into a orbital path alongside that of the Whyatican's, now it was a matter of catch up . It wasn't even a gravity, but it was enough to shove a free floating crew person into a wall. Hence: acceleration couches.

The cessation of acceleration brought Richardson back to reality. “Did the Sundance Kid and Jesse James make it through the burn?”

“Confirmed sir. I have them on infrared, engines and 'rads are running hot.”

Richardson nodded at the Sensor officer. “Good to hear, fire up the main radar array. I want a clear picture of whats arrayed in front of us, including debris. And someone get on the horn to those Whyaticans.”

Statement of the Government of the Britannic Commonwealth

The Britannic Commonwealth has no desire for war. Our former leader, Mr. James Swanner, has been deposed in a coup and arrested. I, Vice President Daniel Yañez, have assumed the full powers vested in the office of President of the Britannic Commonwealth.

Utilising these powers, I have ordered that all Commonwealth troops stand down. We are prepared to unconditionally surrender to the coalition forces.
Haraki
30-12-2006, 02:26
This seems to happen to us a lot.

But here's the problem I see. If it was truly only Mr Swanner that was the 'evil' one, then why the hell didn't anyone try and stop him? I don't even see any evidence that anyone ever didn't carry out any of his insane orders. By rights, that means every single member of the armed forces and every single member of the government is guilty of war crimes. I see no reason why the evidently psychotic government in general should be allowed to remain in power simply because your leader has a new name and face. If you want us to stand down, I suggest you present every person that served under Mr Swanner in either the armed forces or government to an international war crimes tribunal.

Doubtless many will attempt to the use the 'only following orders' defence, but I don't buy that, nor do I buy the 'I didn't want to be shot' defence. If it was true everyone was only following orders, one of you should have had the guts to simply shoot or depose your leader before, since it appears to have been such an easy thing to accomplish. But no, it took a war by a group of international powers to suddenly make you realize what you were doing was wrong? Don't take us for fools and idiots. We aren't.

I suggest you do as we say. We're not fucking around.

Under the new Clandonian leadership I see the wise choice that the British Londiniumese have made in regards to their surrender in this war. However to ensure the transition to democracy goes smoothly Clandonia will deploy 200,000 troops from the 3rd Commando Army Group to oversee the changes and to take belongs and capital that will pay for the cost of the Clandonian military deployment to British Londinium.

Our forces will also require many females to relive their sexual frustration that has built up after traveling half way around the world ready to fight only to find that the poor excuse of a nation surrendered.

Message of the Whyatican Empire
We are glad that the Londinium Government has surrendered - however, Imperial forces will occupy British Londinium until a new government, free of all members of the previous, can be elected and established. The Imperial government echoes the demands of the Allanean government, except of course the silly demands for unit flags and statues.

All Londinium units will stand down and surrender their arms to Coalition troops upon landing, and the previous government will submit to the authority of a provisional government headed by military leaders of the Coalition. A new government will be constructed based off the principles of libertarian democracy.

There will be a more formal peace conference based in British Londinium at a later date.

It happened with you, it happened with Clandonia, and it's happened in the past. They seem to get off on using their big, shiny defense budgets and populations to get people to bow down and do what they want. It'd be better to just fight them.))

Actually, you're kind of wrong because fighting them is going to cause BL to lose rather badly, in all likelihood, and be occupied anyway -- in harsher terms than in Allanea's proposed peace treaty, no doubt. Unless BL can garner enough allies, and he hasn't made very many friends.

Let this be a lesson to all wannabe evil nations: It's important not to estrange your allies. I'd recommend master classes with Kalessin or Raem, among others. ;)

Imperial Second Theatre Battlegroup, Venture Island, Whyatica
After the Surrender of British Londinium, Whyatican groups rushed the mass mobilisation of some million soldiers and several million supporters, trying to be the first to get to British Londinium. The job was being intentionally rushed, but the situation was urgent. Even though the Empire was constantly on full alert, given the situation of politics on Earth, moving a million soldiers was a herculean effort at best. The effort was to be split into ten equal parts, the High Command decided, so the first wave was to be X Corps and it's supporting men, along with a rather large military fleet escort.

Meanwhile, in the Diplomacy Wing of the High Command, hundreds of men slaved away, working on what would become the first draft of the Treaty of Peace between British Londinium and the Allied Governments..

Elements of First Strategic Fleet, en route to British Londinium
"What the fuck?" the Admiral in charge of this battlegroup yelled out, after reading the election results from British Londinium.

"The fucking Londiniumites have already broken their peace treaty!" he screamed, and his executive officer said, "How?"

"They re-elected their previous leader, he claims he had a 'brain tumour' which was making him act irrationally. Their peace treaty is going to specify that nobody from their past government can be elected to the new one!"

"Well, I have an idea, sir. Permission to speak freely?" the XO said, and the Admiral nodded.

"By breaking the terms of their ceasefire, we have every right to move in and occupy their capital. Their units are supposed to have laid down their arms and moved back in, but it's evident from the satellite evidence that they have not. That's two terms broken right there - we have every right to remove their government and institute martial law until they actually follow the terms."

"I like it, Captain. The rest of the army will be here in two weeks, staggered, but the allies can bring their troops too. Their capital is a port city, so when we move in we can supply our troops that way. Set up a defense line in the city itself, and we can hold until the rest of the army arrives." the Admiral said.

"Make it so. We will be approaching Kensington within two hours, so have the marines prepared."

"Aye."

The Imperial fleet cruised into stationkeeping in the docks of Kensington, with the troop carrying ships pulling in together, and dropping offload ramps when they finished docking maneuvers.

Thousands of marines poured off of the ramps, moving to secure all port facilities before Londiniumites could destroy them. =()= Commonwealth Naval Ship Berwick, Approaching territory of the Britannic Commonwealth of Londinium =()=

Alert lights were sounding from bow-to-stern as the triple-hulled spacecraft stepped along through warp speed. Its journey had been a rapid one, a far cry from what had normally been constituted as the peacetime patrols that the ship and its sisters of the Town had been designed for. Armed with the latest and most modern weaponry that Her Majesty's Government had put forward for the design, widely considered by many as highly capable successors to the more elderly units of the Carlise class, they were good for a reason.

And now we might be going into a firefight, Captain Lord Philip Kent thought ironically to himself as he continued to eye the stars that were whistling by around his command. The orders that had sent his crew to general quarters as they crossed into the contested zone, had caused the turrets to elevate from customary resting positions on the hull. Had prompted bulkhead doors to move to ready positions fore and aft, and had caused a rapid acceleration to the ship's designed speed of warp 7.5. There was no need for him to review the contents of the data system device that he was holding in one hand. He knew the contents by heart.

"Approaching rendezvous coordinates now sir," came the report from aft of his chair. With a glance at the executive officer the captain raised his voice.

"Navigation, bring us to impulse speed. Tactical, I want continuous passive scans of the area for any sign of hostile spacecraft." The 26-million-ton heavy cruiser slid to impulse with scarcely a whisper, her sudden bulk eclipsing stars with a wall of navy grey. Less than a minute later the impulse shafts flared to life, a silent roar of thrust marking her passage as several passive reconnaissance drones flew out of their hangar and into the surrounding space. It was tense from bow-to-stern as they approached their rendezvous point.

"Admiral."

Fleet Admiral Richards perked up from his state of thought, looking towards the communications officer who had called his attention. The fleet had been making a cruising speed towards Cayanace where it would sit on standby for a few days while the situation cooled over. This, however, was about to change.

"The Brittanic government has violated the terms of the cease-fire. Whyatica is moving her forces in to occupy and pacify British Londinium."
"Do we have new orders?"
"Aye, sir. Cravna has given us a direct line, priority one. We are to continue to British Londinium to assist the Whyaticans in their campaign."
"Then make speed!", Sir William Richards shouted with a smirk. "We can still put that few billion dollars our government spent to deploy this fleet to good use."
"Aye, sir. Helm, bring us to our original course."

And with that, the First Imperial Task Force returned to its planned course to British Londinium. And this time it wouldn't be turning back, no matter what happened.

"Sovereign class warship on the port bow sir," tactical had reported just moment before. If anything, ears perked up at hearing this news, as it quickly passed through the ship's grapevine that there was something going on. Ignorant of the gossip that was being quietly exchanged at various positions all across the vessel, her captain nodded to the officer. The sight of the swept-back and massive starship of equal size to the Berwick caused a brief moment of admiration.

"Commonwealth Naval Ship Berwick, this is the HMS Europe, RSV-0077. We have the cargo, and will beam it aboard on your reply."

There was a look exchanged between captain and executive officer. "Sound pretty efficient," the latter murmured to his senior, causing a brief nod of agreement. Given the urgency of the situation it seemed imperative to evacuate the 'cargo' as quickly as possible. Not a soul on the bridge was in the mood to dispute that assertion, even as the other ship came alongside the Bautizan vessel. Turret crews watched nervously, scanning visually beyond the sleek hull for anything that was out-of-the-ordinary.

"HMS Europe, this is the Berwick," the communication array crackled a moment later. "Transmission acknowledged. Lowering starboard shields in preparation for transport."

OOC: That's hardly good reasoning. Saying a clause once in an unedited post is enough to have it be binding if the other party agrees to it. If germany, post-WWI, had rationalized their breaking of the Treaty of Versailles with 'We didn't read the treaty well enough, and it's only one clause, so we'll do what we want' it would've been kind of odd.

Not to mention the fact that as soon as the first foreign troops arrive they're going to take into custody every member of your armed forces and government for investigation into war crimes as per the treaty you signed with me. Whether Swanner was re-elected or not, he's still probably going to either a) spend the rest of his life in jail or b) be executed, depending on the laws of whatever nation takes him into custody.

Plus, how the fuck would a madman like that get elected again? After being elected the first time, he murdered millions of children. The fact that a brain tumour was removed doesn't mean people would suddenly forget that. Any analysts looking into those elections would probably deduce that they were rigged, because if this was the real world, there is no way he would be re-elected, brain tumour or not. But no, because it's your country, you can say that your people voted for him again despite the mass genocide of millions of people and the wanton murder of anyone who disagreed with him. And, by the same tact, since it's our nations, we can say we're invading you again. Tit for tat.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/Praetonia/PraeMilitaryFlag.png

His Majesty's Government has viewed with some distress the recent actions of the Government of British Londinium in violation of the inherent rights of the Subjects of the aforementioned state. As His Majesty said in his speech to the Royal Society for the Preservation of Liberty very recently, Praetonia has been pleased to view the transformation, with properly applied foreign military pressure, of British Londinium into what was beginning to resemble a civilised country. Indeed, it was the opinion of His Majesty's Government until very recently that the new British Londinium's application for Sovereign League membership should be approved.

His Majesty now expresses His disgust at the blatant non-compliance with the peace treaty as set forth by the victorious allied powers and as agreed to by the government of British Londinium. He further expresses His disgust at the disgraceful manner in which the first elections following the treaty were carried out. His Majesty has been content to sit back and observe as British Londinium progressed from tyranny to liberty. Now, with the spanner firmly in the works of progress and the recent threat of nuclear attack against His Majesty's Sovereign League allies, it is with regret that it is announced that the Crown Commonwealth of Praetonia is currently in a state of war with the Britannic Commonwealth.

God save us all.

Sir,

His Majesty's Government is delighted to learn of your swift and well-advised surrender. People around the world shall surely be delighted to learn that no needless bloodshed or loss of life shall be required. This shall surely go down in history as a wise decision on your part.

As for the future, His Majesty's Government feels that the good intentions of the Britannic state can no longer be trusted, and to that effect the Crown Commonwealth shall deploy a large force to British Londinium in order to ensure that the post-war settlement is followed through, and to enforce it if it is not. The vanguard of this force will be leaving from Praetonian airports within the next few hours, and His Majesty expects them to be able to land safely in Britannic airports. This being the case, the post-war settlement will proceed smoothly and British Londinium will receive redevelopment aid and honourable treatment.

Should this not be the case, the Imperial Navy shall enforce a full blockade of the Britannic Commonwealth until such time as an appropriate invasion force can be assembled to take the country. Should His Majesty be forced to shed to blood of His Subjects in such a needless endeavour, the post-war settlement is unlikely to result in the eventual reconstitution of Home Rule in British Londinium.

Colonel Geoffery Stafford was on the first plane to take off. His helmet, like those of the men around him, had been painted red, white and blue to indicate neutrality. On the side of his uniform there were two flags, the first was the Praetonian flag, and the second the Sovereign League ensign. It was hoped that these would ensure that Praetonian troops would not be accidentally identified as government troops and attacked by the local populace. The other soldiers on the plane did not look scared, but somewhat anxious and confused because they had been given little information about the task ahead.

"What will we be doing in British Londinium, Sir?" Asked one of the soldiers.

"Not a lot, Corporal, unless the old government tries to cling to power. With any luck we won't have to do anything at all. We only need step in if they break the peace treaty."

"How long will we be deployed for?" Asked another.

"Long enough. There may be permanent basings but unless things go pear-shaped you will all have leave as normal."

The soldiers cheered.

As the planes began to approach British Londinium they began signalling British Londinium air traffic control, requesting permission to land.

Official Statement of The Island of Rose

Well... that was rather quick. The Rosian Republic of course finds this war justifyable. Of course we must find the quick surrenders of the British Government funny. Twice they surrendered, and only after a small attack. We must say that this just proves that the nations of EVIL are all bark and no bite. With that, we invite any nation of the EVIL alliance that think that their military is superior to fight the Rosian military, because quite frankly, if the acronym for your alliance is EVIL, that's not evil, it's stupid.

But on to the subject of British Londinium.

I wish to name these wars, or war, the War Four Pages Vaster than Logic and Reason Dictate. With that the Rosian Republic wishes to aid the Allies in British reconstruction, in the form of moneys, supplies, and what have you. I just hope the Allies accept.

BREAKING NEWS. After nearly having a heart attack from reading the Rosanican threats, Lord Protector Victor Fortinbraz has called for High Priest Joseph IX to issue the necessary paperwork for an official Coalitionist Crusade against the nation of Rosanica, and the blasphemous people forthwith. According to the Lord Protector, "The people of Rosanica are weak... they have threatened our honor and have insulted our people. They go so far as to blaspheme against our most beloved father... and this is something that will not stand. A challenge has been issued, and by god we will answer it."

IC:
Imperial marine fireteams moved swiftly through the port districts of Kensington, securing strategic objectives quickly. As mechanized units began to be offloaded by the heavy carriers, marines hitched rides to the government district, with the biggest target - the Palace. One of the units offloaded was an infantry fighting vehicle, escorting a rather important person to this mission - Ambassador J.R. Cash, the man who headed the team that wrote the peace treaty, and he would present this treaty - personally - to the new President of British Londinium. A company of marines, along with the two extra infantry fighting vehicles acted as escort for this, but the mostly frightened Londiniumites ran and hid from the Imperial forces.

Londinium guards opened the first gate of the Kensington Palace, and the Imperial force marched through, paying close attention to anyone that may attempt to destroy the force. As they pulled closer to the door, four honourguard marines waited for the command to exit their vehicles, and escort the Ambassador to the palace. Parking themselves rather rudely on the grass, the IFVs stopped and disgorged their passengers.

The five men were allowed into the palace, to a waiting room, where supposedly the President of British Londinium would be to discuss terms..

Sir Phillip Sinclair, president of the Britannic Commonwealth, stood in his room in Kensington Palace, getting ready for his meeting with the Whyatican plenipotentiary.

Looking in the mirror, he adjusted the bow tie on his tuxedo, and donned his SIS lapel pin. He still wore it out of habit.

For queen and country, he thought, trying to reassure himself. But he couldn't get the phrase his years in the SIS taught him.

He was in Monaco, attempting to foil an attempt at world domination hatched by Spectre. He had been captured and subjected to the most cruel torture.

Emilio Largo, or Number 2, performed the torture. Afterwards, he looked Phillip in the eyes and said, This is our business, Mr. Sinclair. Even though we represent different ends of the spectrum, we share a common motto, which I believe your SIS has adopted: Victoria aut mors - Victory or death.

Phillip ignored that memory. He had to do this, for his people. Walking into the waiting room, he braced himself to his duties.

Gentlemen, right this way, he said, leading them to his office. It was a more appropriate place to do business.

The Allanean units offloaded too – the 180th Communist Hunters Mechanized Infantry Division, the 178th Trail of Corpses Mechanized Infantry, the 140th Spice Girls Mechanized Infantry, and the 79th Kubuntu Mobile Mechanized Infantry. Their orders were simple:

Aid the Whyaticans enforce treaty.

If no allied soldiers are attacked, remain polite and calm with the local population.

Exterminate any who would harm a Whyatican or other allied soldier with extreme prejudice.

It remained to hope the Londinians would remain reasonable...

"Yes." the Imperial man said, with his rather dignified accent. The five men followed Sinclair into his office, and Cash note the general lack of...stuff here. It seemed that the office had just been vacated by it's previous owner, and he was trying to set up shop here.

Cash sat down when a chair was offered, and the four marines took up guard positions, outside the door to the office.

"President Sinclair, first off congratulations on your successful election. It is good that British Londinium's democratic process, at least, is successful. Now on to business - I have, here, drafted, a treaty that would end the hostilities between my government, the allied powers, and your nation." Ambassador J.R. said, putting a piece of paper on the table.

It read,
INSTRUMENT OF PEACE BETWEEN BRITISH LONDINIUM AND COALITION POWERS
For the purposes of this treaty, Imperial = Whyatican. Coalition = Whyatica, Allanea, Izistan, Clandonia Prime, Cravan

Article I - Instrument of Surrender

All military, paramilitary, and militia units of British Londinium shall stand down and hand their arms over to Imperial or allied units. All units currently on missions will stand down as well, and return to their home base within British Londinium for immediate disarmament.
All members of the upper echelon of the British Londinium military shall be brought into Coalition custody for war crime investigation.
Former President Swanner shall be brought into Coalition custody for war crime investigation, as well as all members of his former cabinet.
All weapons of mass destruction (hereby described as atomic weapons, chemical, and biological weapons) shall be handed over to Coalition custody.

Article II

Coalition forces shall set up numerous military bases for the defence of British Londinium. After one year's time, the British Londinium government may choose to lease the land to the Coalition for another year, or ask for the allied governments to leave.
British Londinium shall have no relations with the EVIL alliance bloc or the Corporate Alliance.

Article III

A new constitution for the British Londinium state shall be drafted by British Londinium legislators, approved by the Coalition, and placed as the supreme authority on all law matters of British Londinium. This constitution must have a respect for basic human rights, such as the right to free speech, the right to protest, the freedom of religion, right to a speedy trial, etc.

Article IV

A new military shall be constructed for British Londinium by Coalition powers, with civilian leadership, along with checks and balances upon the power of the military in matters domestic or foreign.
There will be no unprovoked attacks launched by British Londinium on any other nation.

Article V

If the nation of British Londinium breaks any term of the above, Coalition troops will occupy British Londinium indefinetly.

The transports waited for the Allanean's to finish offloading. So the transports sat anchored out at sea, rocking in the surf while the two escorting Polaris Area Defense Vessels circled the transports like shark with seriously nasty teeth.

They were supposed to be smuggled to the former President for his continued barbarity. There was also about 2 kilos of cocaine hidden inside flotation devices.

The ring was opened up and the cocaine removed, it was given to a local hustler, he'd give them the cash and then he'd rake in a profit, around 300%. The Mafia had no business beyond simple drug smuggling in British Londinium. They were removing most of their high level liaison personnel on that boat.

The crew was lightly armed in compliance with Colonial regulations for protecting their merchants. It left port at 0900 local time and sailed back toward the Colonial Autonomous Republic of Algeristan, under the safety of the colony's corrupt government. They soon passed a fishing boat that was so obviously a spy boat, based on the height of the men, they were working for the Ministry of State Security.

The Mainland Government back in Concord desperately wanted to bust the Mafia on mainland Leafanistani turf so they wouldn't be caught up in the political quagmire that was the Colonial Law. Today wouldn't be their day.

IC:
A young woman smiled at the camera in front of her, waiting for her cue. Arranging a set of papers in front of her and brushing a strand of long brown hair from her face, she watched for her cue. Three.... two.... one.... NOW!

"Welcome back to Caranda News Network, I'm Lauren Brown. Earlier today a severe nor'easter made landfall just north of Stumpy Point. Nor'easter Mary, whose total extent is estimated to be as much as a hundred and sixty kilometers across, is dumping near record levels of freezing rain across the region. As many as six hundred people have been evacuated from the town and surrounding territory as the storm progresses. Hundreds more are without power, and seventeen are reported missing. Please tune in later for our StormAlert broadcast, as we review the projected path of the storm."

"In international news, the British Londinium government surrendered for yet a second time before the combined military might of the Whyatica-lead coalition of APOC nations. This time, they professed no knowledge of a treaty they allegedly were forced to accept, and have had yet another so-called 'election,' with constantly advantageous results and unheard-of margins. Prime Minister Atal Amner had this to say." Lauren relaxed, watching a timer sitting next to the camera, and taking a sip of water. All in a day's work, huh?

Meanwhile, the program had cut to a recording of a Press Confrence, the Prime Minister cutting a dashing figure behind his favorite Heart Pine podium. "In response to queries about the War of the Londinium Babies, I applaud and am fully willing to support the Whyatican moves to occupy British Londinium. It is very important that we have such madmen as their leaders locked up where they can harm none other than themselves."

"However, I must caution the coalition to not underestimate the measures required to pacify and change a nation. A nation so defiled that it kills its own children for sport will not be healed in a day, nor in a month, nor even in a year, the scheduled 'timetable' for possible military withdrawl. A nation with such ingrained insanity will fester under continued home rule. Indeed, it would become a self-sustaining tumor in the flawless body of ideal humanity. You have done nothing to disrupt the old ways with your nearly bloodless victory, they will merely remain intact through your benign regime, and return stronger than ever once you lose interest. And believe me, you will lose interest after long enough."

"The only cure to this cancer is intense chemical, or in this case mental, treatment. A 'cure' necessitates pro-active educational and re-educational measures to ensure a healthy social balance, an ingrained moral fiber, and a strong economy. It needs much more than a simple change of face. Changing the government will merely change the projection of the same fundamentally flawed ideology. All government is a reflection of its people at some level, and a government that would hunt its own future for sport is a representation of a self-mutilating society. It is a society that is not even on the evolutionary spectrum, it is unheard of in history. This society would blindly destroy its hope of continuing to evolve, a sure sign that it lacks the capacity to evolve itself without significant external aid. And this is where the civilized world comes in."

"We cannot allow fellow humans to fester in inferiority, or to kill themselves off senselessly before their civilization has reached its full potential, it is simply ingrained in us. Every man among us today feels some compassion for the poor ignorant Londiniums, who honestly believed their government's party line. And this nation is united.... oh it is fun to say that, I've always wanted to work that into a speech. Anyways, this naiton is united behind the concept of forwarding the social evolution of the Londinium society to a point where it is again self-supporting. A widespread education and re-education program can shift expertise from soldier to builder, politician to thinker, and can reshape this once barren nation into something worth writing home about."

"What I speak of will not be easy. You must eradicate the old Londinium society and build a new one. As in treating cancer, you must almost kill the nation in order to eradicate the cancerous entities. In the process, you must also tear every scrap of military materiel from their store-houses, or you will encounter fierce revolution. However, after a generation or two, and many hard years, you will be rewarded with a firey new ally, a powerful nation ready to aid in the fight for Humanity. It will have thinkers and builders, farmers and workers, and, when it is ready, soldiers to aid the cause. The price will be great, but never lose sight of the long-term goals. And never subjugate yourself to defeatist rhetoric. Now, on to the economic front!"

The screen cut away, back to Lauren in her news studio. "Prime Minister Amner is expected to engage in talks with the nation of Whyatica soon to discuss the possibility of establishing a branch of the Civil Protection Service in British Londinium to maintain stability during the occupation. Coming up, Swing is King! We examine the explosion of Swing music near Lover's Leap. Also, she just can't stop shooting, can she? We look at No Endorse's top minor league football player, and her meteoric rise from recreational leagues. But first, StormAlert's take on Nor'easter Mary, and a word from out sponsors."

Lauren leaned back and relaxed, glancing at the timer. She had another hour before she had to record some updates, maybe that new sushi bar was open? She grabbed her coat and rushed out the door.

With the unexpected co-operation from the British Londinium military, specialist Clandonain Airforce Nuclear Recovery teams and from the army's specialist weapons unit prepared to check and take the weapons of the British Londinium arsenal.

As helicopters with the various teams touched down in Bexley and Waddington where Clandonian navy transports had arrived offloading vehicles and equipment for the transportation of WMD back to Clandonia for destruction. As the first teams arrived at a gated complex outside Bexley the team suited up in their NBC gear with G36's loaded just incase resistance decided to spring up. Such a problem would be unlikely what with the trim cruiser and a capital submarine just offshore. The Chinook's and Merlins touched down on the grass, turning off their engines as the commander and officer of the team Major Hue Pearson stepped down from the helicopter in his suit and ordered his teams to move out, secure the base and begin removal of the prohibited weapons.

On Waddington another team lead by Captain Peter Blake arrived by helicopter as well as they aproached a similar facility, armed with his G36K in one hand and the official declaration treaty incase the British Londinium guards decided to act funny.

Transcript of President Sinclair's State of the Commonwealth Address

Esteemed members of Parliament, the international community, people of the Britannic Commonwealth of Eurasia:

Last year, our great nation was ravaged by a corrupt, tyrannical regime that possesed no regard for the well-being of the Londinian citizens. Former President Swanner condoned the death of children, the death of the elderly, the death of anyone he deemed fit to die, all because of a quest to be evil due to a like of the word.

But the Britannic Commonwealth has changed since then. It has evolved. We have transcended the cruelty, sadism, brutality, and ruthlessness of our past. I stand before you today, not as a dictator, but as a President, a true president. In the past year, I feel that the Britannic Commonwealth has finally lived up to the ideals of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and I believe that in the future, we will continue to do so.

And what role will we play in the future? I submit to you that the Britannic Commonwealth must serve as a protector of liberty and sovereignty for nations all across this vast globe. Wherever there is tyranny, Britannic troops will be on the front lines, fighting to protect the oppressed.

I will now yield to questioning from the Parliament.

Imperial Control Zone, Kensington, Eurasia (former British Londinium)
Imperial troops patrolled the streets of Kensington, although there was little unrest, the new Eurasian military had not been trained and their fledgeling police force could not handle Kensington, much less the entire nation. The whole conversion process from 'insane baby-eating nation' to 'Western democracy' seemed fast - too fast, for that matter, for most nation-building processes took many years to complete. The top brass of the Whyatican armies were skeptical that British Londinium would actually change - intelligence reports detailed that British Londinium had already begun rearming it's military and preparing for aggressive actions against the Drow, a nation which the Imperium Doomanum was targetting with a crusade.

General Ulysses Grant entered the high command chambers of Eurasia/British Londinium, and demanded to see someone in charge of the navy. British Londinium was not permitted to go on it's own yet for the military, that would fuck everyone else over, look where it got them in the first place..

Four Imperial guards marched in, surrounding the former President James Swanner of British Londinium, bringing him in for his war crimes tribunal. His defence team was comprised of several Eurasian/Londiniumite lawyers, while the prosecution was the most famous prosecutor in all of Whyatican barristry, Jack McCoy. Judge Constantine Haztopolous presided over the hearing in the makeshift courtroom, which had been decorated as best as possible to give that cool 'Law and Order' feeling, but we digress here. The Imperial guards removed the handcuffs around Swanner, and sat him down at a chair in his defence table. The guards went back to their assigned positions, ready to blow his brains out if he tried to do anything..bad.

"James Swanner, you are charged with crimes against humanity, including the slaughter of thousands of women and children within your own nation, to which the penalty can be life imprisonment with no hope of parole or death. The defendant will enter a plea now.." the Judge said, waiting for the defence team to speak up.

Upon hearing the news of the fact that British Londinium was still trying to use its little military around the world. The order was given by President Sir Victor Hughes to divert a group of Nimrod MR4's to intercept the British Londinium navy out at sea. Commander Lazurus has request reinforcements as the 16th Air Assault Brigade and 1st Mechanised Division to bring in heavy M-20 Mackall and M-55 Black Tiger tanks via an airbridge of C-5 and An-124 Condors as soon as possible to boost the 3 Marine armour capacity who were limited to the lighter but more mobile Challenger 2's and Styker IFV's.

Commander Lazurus was told to monitor the situation as the Ministry of Defence prepared to deal with possible rogue elements of the British Londinium military. A plan had been made if all went wrong to formally take control of British Londinium with another two army groups ready at a moments notice to depart for British Londinium with heavy artilery units from 16th Brigade with its AS-90 and MLRS systems as well as vast numbers of infantry and specialist urban fighting units.

Cravanian Control Zone, Kensington, Eurasia

The city proceeded as it usually would, the hustle and bustle unobstructed by the precense of Cravanian troops on each street corner. HMMWV's were a common sight, the topside mounted M2 machine gun commonly mounted by a relaxed soldier. Overall everything was running smoothly.

Soldiers were commonly seen offduty in their camoflauge fatiques, the distinctive Cravanian woodland digital pattern standing out in the crowded city. They would frequent many local shops and businesses, often buying items not provided by the military for their own personal needs. This influx of cash coming from stationed soldiers of course gave a boost to Britannic commerce, strengthening the nation's economy considerably. It could be said quite easily that the intervention of the coalition was perhaps the best thing that could've happened for the Britannic people, for they were now living in a time of peace and prosperity.

The main combat arm of the First Imperial Task Force sat out at sea, awaiting further orders in the event of Brittanic resistance or an attempt to invade the Brittanic homeland by a foriegn power. The majority of the transport ships and smaller escorts were moored in Kensington Harbor, however those ships that were unsuitable to garrison in the harbor were kept at sea and resupplied regularly by the fleet's logistics unit.

The First was a projection of power not seen from Cravan since perhaps the 1700's, and it was a potent force to deal with. Combat air patrols constantly encircled the group, occasionally moving over Brittanic territory to ensure its security.

It was another day in Allied occupied Eurasia. Possibly among the safest places to live in the world at this point in time.

OOC: No way. Spectre Unltd. is not affliated with the corporate alliance. It's a storefront controlled by the Nova Brittanican and British Londinian governments. The most you could do is shut down the British Londinium part of the storefront.

Bullets ricocheted around the sidewalk outside, scattering the civilians and soldiers alike. Within moments the Cravanian command in the area knew of the attack, and ordered in reinforcement to take down this lunatic. Two fireteams entered the building from the back, and made their way up to Colonel Sun's floor while he continued to lay waste to the streets outside. Before he knew what happened, his door burst open, and eight Imperial soldiers stood with weapons aimed, rounds chambered, and safties off.

"Drop the weapon you sick fuck.", one of the NCO's said to the man. "I said DROP THE WEAPON!"

If Sun looked out the window, he would see the scene he had caused. An M20 Mackall sat on guard outside, with two M4 Spartans taking up flanking positions. HMMWV's blocked off the roads further down, and at least a platoon of infantry had their weapons readied. Helicopters encircled the section of the city, AH-72 Vipers making combat maneuvers over the Cravanian section of the city.

"It's over, bud.", another soldier said. "Do you want to know exactly how many innocent people you killed in addition to servicemen? That wasn't your intention, was it?"

The soldiers continued the standoff, using psychological warfare as a potent weapon against this old patriot.

Colonel Sun was not fazed by the Cravanian attempts at psychological warfare. He pulled the trigger on his machine gun again, aiming at the Cravanian soldiers.

"There's a Cravanian convoy coming down London Avenue," reported a member of the EIA (Eurasian Independence Army).

"Perfect! Are the roadside bombs in position?" asked his partner.

"Yeah, man. What the fuck do you think I am, incompetent?"

"No...just checkin'."

"Good. They're coming!" The two triggered the bombs as the convoy passed through.

The Chief Inspector of the Kensington Metropolitan Police paced in her office, thinking.

I have orders from my government to help the occupiers, she thought. But the Coalition does nothing but harm my nation and oppress us.

She grabbed her radio, and signalled all the police units in the city.

Take all measures necessary to hinder the operations of the Coalition troops, she ordered.

OOC: Note that red text means top secret, or SIC.

The CO19 division of the Metropolitan Police prepared itself to do the Chief Inspector's bidding. Five hundred men, fully armed as if they themselves were soldiers, ready for duty.

They marched out onto the street, armoured and armed, taking strategic sniping positions on Britannia Boulevard, where a Clandonian convoy would be traversing. As the Clandonians passed through, they opened fire.

Throughout the city, thousands of police officers started shooting the occupying military forces.

And the Cravanians returned the favor, a storm of lead soaring through the air as six of them opened fire, while two went down. The roar of gunfire filled the room, but as the dust settled the victor was quite certain. Six soldiers versus one crazed man with a machine gun aren't good odds for the latter.

Already emergency crews arrived on the scene to assist wounded civilians and soldiers alike... This would not serve well for the Brittanic people as just down the block an IED decimated a Cravanian convoy.

"If you're just joining us, recent terror attacks throughout the Cravanian sector of Kensington have forced the Imperial Military Forces in the area to declare a state of martial law in their section of the city, and have stated that any activities involving uprising against the new government or coalition forces will result in dire consequences to the offending parties and will be treated with extreme predjudice.

"In addition, it's been reported that an additional six-thousand troops will be landing in the city to conduct patrols. A curfew of nine PM to five AM is currently in effect, and will not be lifted until all known terrorist cells are removed, either peacefully or by force. In the event of a major terror attack the entire Cravanian section of the city will be put into immediate lockdown and all citizens caught on the streets detained.

"It will be a rough time for citizens, as no longer will Cravanian troops be able to roam the streets on their down time, but if those few members of this doomed resistance movement had not resisted the people of Eurasia would be living a much nicer life, free of Cravanian military involvement save for patrols and soldiers contributing to their economy. However, the actions of these few have ruined it for all, making the city a dangerous place to live.

Whyatican Occupation Zone, Kensington, Eurasia
This Whyatican military base, at the moment, was a jury-rigged conversion of a former British Londinium base, currently garrisoned by elements of X Corps. The conversion from British Londinium gear and equipment to Whyatican was slow going - nobody trusted the former Londinium electronics and other equipment, and it was all being replaced by indigenous equipment manufactured in Whyatica. An airfield was being paved out of a former prison camp area, although now with the new insurgency in Kensington, the General-in-command regretted his decision to get rid of the prison camp. In the Cravanian section of Kensington, numerous soldiers and civilians had died to a 'Eurasian Independence Front', and in the Clandonian section, a full armed uprising had occured against the occupiers!

General Raj-Singh, a colonial officer from Irathria, grabbed the base-wide intercom and said, "The Eurasians are beginning full-scale operations against our allies. Activate Plan Orange."

Plan Orange was the plan drawn up during the initial month or so of occupation - a plan for dealing with an armed uprising of British Londiniumites, which would effectively annex any part of British Londinium held by the Empire. Infantrymen would first begin to secure individual blocks, searching every single house for insurgents, and destroy any command and control infrastructure they may have.

The thousands of Imperial marines currently patrolling the streets, finding themselves being shot at, returned fire at their attackers. The small arms of the British Londinium police could not do much to pierce the bulletproof vests the marines were wearing, but marines did die from headshots like everyone else. Fighting broke out on nearly every street, every block where a police officer encountered a marine and began to fire, signalling the beginning of what may be a full scale occupation and annexation of British Londinium..

The Clandonian convoy was a regular, ferrying personal from the embassy to the airport that was now under coalition control. The convoy was made up of three armoured Range Rovers, L1A1 .50 guns on the rear and front vehicle. The third in the convoy contained an airforce officer comming back from a meeting explaining the airbridge operation to the ambasador and the various military advisors who had set up at the embassy.

Reading through his paperwork as the driver a young squadie of around the age of 23 drove him through the streets. Travelling down the Britannia Boulevard he noticed the quiet streets, odd for the time of day he thought. As they turned the next corner the sound of shoots hitting the armour as bullets cracked the windscreen from an unknown position causing the driver to mount the pavement with the shock fliping the Range Rover onto its side as the airforce officer lay bleeding with his driver dead wrapped around the stearing column that had jolted up. As the other two vehicles opened up with their .50 machine guns aiming at what where they thought the shots had come from before they too were hit down leaving the bullet ridden vehicles on the street...

As the embassy tried to radio in after hearing what sounded like heavy shots all they heard was crackle and the hissing of a damaged radiator. Something had happened as a Agusta A109 passed over ordered to divert from the main Clandonian airbase to check out the lost convoy it contacted the main command post. As other reports started to materialise of other attacks against Cravanian forces Commander Lazarus realised that something had happened, big time.

'Sir the convoy is down, something got them we need reinforcements now, This looks bad, we have confirmed six KIA's.'

"Dear Darwin!" exclaimed President Sinclair. "They've gone bloody well mad! Call off the police!"

"Sir, we can't," replied Minister for Defence Elliot Crompton. "And the police are inspiring everyone else to fight. The reservists, most of them still have their arms and armour, they hitting the streets with full fledged military firepower. The city is in chaos, and reports indicate the same happening in every other city in the nation. Fuck, the Territorial Army's gone crazy too; a column of Challenger II tanks just breached the exterior of Kensington."

"Darwin damn it! How are the fucking occupiers supposed to fucking leave if the fucking insurgents keep their bloody revolution going!?" Sinclair shouted.

'What do we do then? We can't just do nothing otherwise attacks will increase, for all we know now the British Londinium military is in not direct central control.'

Spoke an advisor still in his DPM, G36K on the table of the room where the command and control of the Clandonian occupation was run from. Lazurus was next to speak,

'OK, ok theres to much bullshit going on and I always knew this would happen I've made a direct call to Clanon City for them to order the deployment of reinforcements adding another 400,000 troops to join the 200,000 we have. I only have 100,000 here in Kensington and we need to disarm the police who seem to have decided to go around killing our diplomats.'

'This is outrageous!' Spoke the airforce General, a close friend of the officer who had been killed in the ambush incident.

'We are going in now, I have mobalised the 160th Air Combat Wing with their twenty AH-64 Apache's. They are at the scene now with a medevac, there was only one guy alive, hes got head injuries so fifty-fifty chance. I've also ordered the 12th Bomber Wing from Clandonia for our attack on Bexeley and Waddington, the B-2 and B-1 Lancer formations are five hours away at the moment, they should arrive by the time we need them.'

'Good, thankyou for that as I speak now I have ordered our troops in Waddington to secure the islands airbases with the 50,000 marines so we can get the WMD out of the nation asap.'

'Don't you think we should try and contact the British Londinium government?'

Spoke a young CPISF officer.

'Don't you think its a little too late for that now lieutenant?' As Lazurus adjusted his hip holster and lit the Montecristo he had been fiddling with.

As the meeting turned into ramblings overhead the roar of turbines as helicopters began deploying forces into the Clandonian zone in Kensington. Raiding police stations with troops, all resistance would be crushed.

Whyatican Occupation Zone, Kensington, Eurasia
The once proud capital of British Londinium had descended into chaos, with fighting erupting everywhere within the city limits, even in the suburbs outside of the city. Imperial Marines clashed with Eurasian police and reservists indiscriminately, and the armoured brigade in the city pulled out of the bases and rushed to the front lines, where their heavy armour and firepower would be helpful against the Eurasian tanks. As far as the Imperial military governors were concerned, this was the full scale uprising they were waiting for, and they began plans for the full invasion and occupation of British Londinium.

The main drag of Kensington, where dozens of small-town shops and cafes gave an old-town feel to the modern city, became a war zone. Because it was normally one of the most populated areas of Kensington, dozens of marines were assigned to patrol this area on foot and in vehicle once the insurgents began attacking their Cravanian allies. When the police uprising started, a few marines died before they were able to return fire, but their comrades came back with a vengeance. HMMWVs, with .50 calibre mounted machineguns, targetted armed policemen, insurgents, and reservists discriminately, attempting to avoid the killing of civilians just trying to get their latte in the afternoon. Without the support of heavy armour in this sector, it may become a losing gesture if anti-tank support didn't come soon..

You will be executed as per procedure by firing squad, as we do not have a facility for death-by-blending." the Judge said, eyeing Swanner suspiciously. "Gentlemen, it appears that the Eurasian government is beginning an all-out insurgency against the occupying governments - so we are going to begin an annexation invasion against the small outlying islands. We'll seize them, then begin landing operations on the southern continent. Our units are engaging Eurasian regulars inside Kensington, Portsmouth, Northolt, and all major cities on the north continent. I have signalled for reinforcements, and the High Command is sending the rest of the army group originally assigned to this mission. We'll have reinforcements in 21 days, people, and we need to make do with what we have now." Admiral Otis Redding said, pointing at maps and scribbling his plans on it.

"My marine division is ready to land on Bexley. It is unlikely they have many troops there, judging by the disarmaments we've seen there, but we'll be ready." Major General James Doohan said confidently, looking at the Admiral.

"Fine. The fleet will be in landing position in two hours. Get your marines ready." the Admiral said, leaving the room.

Flames broiled and consumed are around police headquarters. Corpses and dead bodies, police officer and Clandonian soldier alike, scattered the outside of the building, and blood was splattered everywhere.

A young constable, newly enlisted, crawled amongst the rubble, desperately trying to cling on to his life. A Clandonian had shot him, the armour-piercing bullets perforating his bulletproof vest and puncturing his chest. He could feel the blood coagulating in his lungs, knowing full well that he would die a painful death.

"Officer 766102 to base...Clandonians....breached outer....perimetre...two blocks....away...reinforcements...needed," he gasped into his radio.

"Base to Officer 766102. CO19 Special Ops officers en route, I repeat, en route. Hang on, comrade," crackled the radio.

"No...use...defend...the plaza...," he choked back. He collapsed to the ground, his energy sapped. He desperately tried to crawl back to the inner defensive line, but to no avail. The constable passed out and his heart slowly stopped beating as the blood accumulating in his right lung suffocated him.

"Understood, Constable. Constable? Constable?" signalled the radio, until it was crushed by the boot of a Clandonian soldier.

With audible gunfire and a few distant columns of smoke rising through the air, small wonder the base had gone to full alert. The 'Z' had gone to full scale military lockdown and these units weren't the only ones moving out.

Gunfire was the only sound in the streets, besides the shouts of combatants and the screams of the dying. Chaos consumed the city. Children lay dead in front of the D'Oyly Court, bullets puncturing their skulls.

In the Police headquarters, it was even worse. Izistani forces began their attack, causing the building to collapse in some areas. Some police forces, upon hearing the orders from the government to not fight the occupiers, counterrebelled against the Chief Inspector, and gunfire erupted in the building. Files lay strewn everywhere, desks turned into shields, the corpses riddled with ammunition used to hide from the other police forces.

Police HQ was a charnel house, on fire, parts of the structure collapsed. But the Ox's turned side on to the front and blasted any place a muzzle flash could be discerned. The hammering of those 45mm autocannons did nothing to hide the sound of the breeching rocket, a simple high explosive warhead fired from a MPTRL RPG with a impact delayed fuse.

The resulting explosion blew a hole in the front of the building. At which point the infantry disembarked, fixed bayonets to their MAWS's (under barrel 25mm "grenade launchers" loaded with flechettes) and combat shotguns, and gave a "Uurrah!" that would have made a world war II Soviet solider proud, and rushed the building. Machine gun sections held back to cover the troops advance. At least six men were hit on the run, two dying messily on the ground despite the medics best efforts.

Kensington, 'Pacified Zone'

Selvi Heller, a former member of the Kroandan Coalitionist Guard now sat in a crummy little apartment Londinia... Eurasia... or whatever they called the place now, smoking on a poorly rolled ciggerette straight out of Afghanistan. The table sitting on the creaking floor boards infront of him began shaking, the Armburst Anti-Tank gun sitting atop of it shaking profusely. Tossing his ciggerette to the ground, he let out a light curse and turned to the window, peering through the blinds at an approaching Cravan Convoy. Fighting in the area had been largely subdued, but this E.V.I.L. Agent now had a task... to make life unpleasant for those that attempted to embarass the alliance. With such a vague task, he decided to have some fun.

Withdrawing his cell phone, he punched in a few numbers, turned his head and listened as three 155mm High Explosive shells blew in unison no more than four feet away from the side of a Cravanite tank. (If there are no tanks, APC/IFV/Humvee/Whatever) Picking up the Armburst and swinging the window open he took aim at the lead vehicle, and fired, a single HEAT Round flying towards the vehicle. Seconds later he stuck an AK-47 out of the window and squeezed the trigger, simply making his presence known as bullets fell to the ground. The room was now, quite clear to the Cravanites, however Heller took care to keep out of the path of bullets. Dropping the gun he rushed down the hall, opening what seemed to be a random door. Inside the room lay a dead man, dressed exactly as he, black ski mask and all. Dragging the corpse into the room he propped him up against the wall, gun in hand, and vacated... on the way, checking to see if the two 155mm Explosive shells he had rigged the apartment with were set. They were. The moment that door opened... boom. Heller rushed down the hall, took a left, a right, ran a bit more and dove into yet another 'random room'. There he immidiately changed into the garb of a normal Londinian... Eurasian...
Praetonia
01-01-2007, 02:07
Having landed and established a base amongst buildings in the British Londinium capital city of Kensington, the 2nd Royal Dragoon Guards were anticipating a brief period of relatively peaceful occupation. Everything had looked fine until the police began to turn on the Praetonian soldiers. Now the buildings around the Praetonian compound had been fortified. Their windows had been broken and furniture had been piled up to effect loopholes, and the structures had been packed down with sandbags filled with dirt and debris from the buildings. In the streets, British policemen, reservists and territorials lay dead.

"The situation is now dangerously out of hand, gentlemen," said the Lieutenant-General to his staff and battalion Colonels in the relative safety of the Kensington airport, which had now been taken over fully by the Praetonian army, "A few minutes ago we received word from Kingston to take urgent and immediate offensive action to put a stop to the rioting. Control over the rules of engagement has been fully released to myself.

"As such, I anyone who appears to be carrying a weapon, or appears to be in breach of the Peace, other than a coalition soldier or non-British or coalition national, is to be shot on sight. In addition, I want the tanks to advance on Kensington Palace and capture the government."

"Are you sure that is wise, sir?" Asked the Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, Sir Hubert Farthington.

"I have received orders from Kingston precisely to that effect, Colonel. Either the government is against us, in which case it must be deposed, or it is with us, in which case it will need protection. Major Rawlingson, you are the commander of the armoured company, are you not?"

"Yes, sir."

"And do you believe that you can take the Palace?"

"I do, sir, but I'd feel safer with an infantry battalion."

The General nodded. "Farthington, your chaps will accompany him."

The Colonel didn't look pleased, but he nodded and affirmed that he would obey his orders.

"Good luck, everyone. I don't want to see excessive non-combatant casualties, but I want you to show these chaps that we're serious when we tell them to stay in line and obey the treaty, and I want it made perfectly clear to our troops that their safety takes precedence over that of foreigners. God save the King!"

"God save the King!"The assembled officers saluted and returned to their units.

The twenty Regus light tanks that had lain dormant since they had been disembarked from their aircraft suddenly roared to life. Their turrets and guns traversed, showing that their crews were checking all the systems were in working order. Slowly they began to leave the airport in single file, with infantrymen jogging either side as escort. The tanks, although classed as 'light' were armed with low-velocity 105mm guns which, although perhaps not up to the task of destroying an enemy MBT, would tear apart infantry, and they were heavily armoured enough to brush aside any small arms fire. Still, the tankers were a little worried - the were all kind of other threats a tank might face, especially in an urban environment.

Approaching the perimeter, the troops could hear the sound of gunfire. To the right of the lead tank, a group of assorted British Londinium paramilitaries had just been shot down by a machinegun, and Praetonian Dragoons were evacuating a building that was on fire, presumably set alight by a British Londinium grenade. An infantryman escorting the tanks fell, and the lead tank fired a round from its main gun into a house across the street. It collapsed almost instantly, presumably killing the gunman inside.

After several hours of hesitant advance, the tanks and troops were at last approaching Kensington Palace, but if the government had defected as feared, there would be heavy resistance up ahead...

"Rebel scum!" cried one of the counter-rebelling constables as she threw grenades throughout various parts of the building. The explosions killed hundreds. When the Izistanis entered the police headquarters, they'd find most of the police dead, and the survivors wounded and close to death.

On the streets, the reservists lost the will to fight, with thousands of their comrades strewn throughout Kensington, mostly unintact. The tanks that hadn't been destroyed rolled to a halt, their crews surrendering.

You may think that seeing as the police had effectively lost the fight, the battle would have slowed down. If you thought that, you fail. The fighting continued in buildings, now, as Imperial Marines began attacking buildings where suspected insurgents were. Breaking down doors and drawing combat swords for close-quarter combat, the Whyatican soldiers were prepared for the worst.

Lance Corporal Michael Sloan was one of the most battle-hardened grunts in the Imperial Marines - He fought in the Lesbian Island, was an occupying soldier in Clandonia, and was part of the initial amphibious landings. He was also one of the most skilled marines in the Corps with his combat sword, the short dirk, and an avid marksman. He commanded a fire-team of marines, 5 marines gathered when the hostilties started.

"Bust the door." he said to the heavy weapons man, who simply kicked the door into a crappy looking apartment building in the Whyatican sector of Kensington, and the other four marines rushed in..

IWNS Hood Task Force
The Hood task force was approaching the island of Bexley, and the troop ships pulled into their traditional formation for amphibious landing. When the time was right, hundreds of LCACs dropped down into the water, each carrying some marines, armed to the teeth and hoping for what may become a peaceful annexation of Bexley Island. The mighty guns of the Hood, it's task force behind it, and the ever-watchful eyes of the Invincible class carrier air group. It didn't appear that there were any manned coastal fortifications - but as the Marines hit the shores and began to advance, they were ready for everything..

Back to the Battle of Kensington
An artillery shell whizzed over the heads of the Imperial Marines, striking a schoolhouse in Kensington. The shell exploded, destroying the schoolhouse, likely killing everyone inside. Intelligence had reported a possible insurgent base there, and naval artillery support from the IWNS Folsom responded without asking for approval. Using the cover of the artillery fire, a company of marines charged forth, engaging Eurasian irregulars as they opened fire on the Whyaticans, and the heavy armour support began to trickle in as M160A2 Phoenix main battle tanks made it to the front lines, targetting and attacking Eurasian Challenger II tanks..

The entire building collapsed in a fiery explosion, with some of the shrapnel hitting Coalition troops and civilians alike a kilometre away. Eight thousand people died in the building, and four thousand more as the building toppled, crashing into the HSBC's Eurasian corporate branch headquarters.

As the advancing force of tanks and infantry got within sight of Kensington Palace, the surrender began. Shaken and scarred Londinian paramilitaries began to timidly leave their buildings with their hands in the air, or with a white flag in their hands. Most of those who still had guns were not unwounded, and far more than were surrendering lay dead on the scarred streets. The formation, however, had no time for collecting prisoners. A single infantry company broke off and began herding PoWs into houses and placing them under guard. One man tried to escape, probably shell shocked or delusion. He was shot.

Meanwhile, the rest of the formation continued. With the rout of the Londinian insurgents almost complete, they could abandon their conservative pace and race for the palace. Major Rawlingson, who was stationed in the lead tank which, unlike the tidy tanks behind it, was festooned with aerials and wires, had unbuttoned the turret hatch to get a better view of the situation ahead. The Palace, it seemed, had not been badly affected by the tumult around it. Indeed, it looked as though the President was still there.

"Come on, put your foot down!" Shouted Rawlingson angrily at the driver of his tank, who was keeping the speed down to 30mph to avoid damaging the tank's systems as it bumped over the rubble piles that had collected in the middle of the road. Inspired by the General's shouts, the tank lurched forwards, as did the tanks behind. The infantrymen were not jogging alongside but running behind the tanks down, cheering and shouting victorious warcries.

Rawlington's tank smashed through the Palace gates without slowing down, and then lurched to a halt in front of the door.

Rawlingson himself clambered out onto the turret and down the front of the hull. The other tanks were surrounding the Palace to prevent any attempt at escape.

"Alright, Colonel?" He shouted in greeting to Colonel Farthington, who was quite red and panting heavily.

"Bugger off, Rawlingson," he shouted back.

"Let's get on with it, then," Rawlingson said, drawing his pistol, and Farthington did the same.

"First Company, with us," he said, indicating for a group of infantry to join the storming party, which was also accompanied by another Colonel.

The doors to the Palace exploded in a shower of splinters, having been hit by a 40mm grenade from one of the tanks. Then the troops rushed in afterwards. Grabbing a dazed servant gruffly, Rawlingson waved his gun in the man's face and demanded to know where the President was. The terrified servant lead the way.

"In there! In there!" The man said, frantically, waving at a door, having lead the group through a winding series of corridors.

"Ok," said Rawlingson, "break it down."

A squad of troops smashed at the door with their rifle-butts. Another soldiers through in a smoke grenade. Rawlingson, Farthington and the mysterious second Colonel burst into the room with pistols drawn accompanied by eight soldiers.

The frightened President backed quickly away from the advancing group of soldiers and stumbled. Rawlingson grabbed him.

"Don't move, or I'll blow your head off," he said, with a manic grin, pointing his revolver at the President.

"Let him go," said the mysterious other Colonel. "My name is Colonel Sandra Gregory and I represent His Majesty's Government in this country," she said holding out her hand, "His Majesty now views British Londinium as the property of the coalition, and the 2nd Royal Dragoon Guards is inclined to agree with him. I apologise for any inconvenience that has been caused, but you are no longer President of British Londinium. Unfortunately you are also not free to leave the building, but you will be treated well until a more permanent solution can be reached."

"Out of the tank! On the fucking ground, now!" Thompson screamed over the tanks intercom to the Eurasians surrendering. "One turret moves and so help me god I'll fry you all!".

He turned his attention to the gray suited Internal Security unit rolling up behind him. "Oh thank god."

The convoy, now licking its wounds, holed up and fortified its position. The window which the fire had come from had fallen silent, but due to standard operational doctrine the Imperial forces weren't about to even touch the door to the building.

"This block's been cleared of civvis, right?"
"Yep, most of the population in this area's been relocated."
"Fall back. I'm not going in there."
"You heard the man. Squad one, get moving!"

The convoy backed away, or at least what was left of the convoy, and the lead officer engaged his headset.

"November-Foxtrot-One, this is Indigo-Six-Two requesting immediate glassing of target at grid coordinates Echo-Lima-Four-Six, Foxtrot-Gulf-Two-Five. Target is designated, and possibly hot.", he said, switching on a laser designator mounted on the foregrip of his carbine. "Target is painted, come on through."
"Copy that, Indigo-Six-Two. Beginning run."

Two OA-5A Wasps thundered in low, looping around and over the cityscape. They dropped their altitude to attack, and sent one thermobaric laser guided munition into the building each. The building went up into a spectacular fireball, and seconds later the traps that Heller had left went off as well, adding to the light show.

"Thank God we didn't go in."
"Amen to that, brotha."
"So... We gonna check the place out after it cools?"
"Of course. Thing is, I dunno if there's much left."

Outside Portsmouth

The Imperial Navy began an amphibious landing operation, sending thousands of Marine and Army personnel ashore with their equipment. The assault ships constantly offloaded their cargos to smaller landing ships, and gradually the Imperial forces expanded to reach the city limits of Portsmouth. Imperial Naval Air Force fighters operated from the offshore carriers, providing cover for the landing troops.

A simple message was broadcast on all radio and television airwaves to keep the citizenry from taking up arms:

Attention all citizens of Portsmouth: Remain in your homes and places of work, and do not resist our occupation. Upon securing the city, we will expand outwards, subduing the rebel threat. We have the best interests of the Eurasian people in mind, and will not harm any of you. Martial law by enforcement of the Imperial Military is now in effect. Thank you for your cooperation in advance, and we do promise this is only temporary.

As the message was broadcast, the first elements of the 42nd Armored Division with pieces of the 41st Infantry began the spearhead into the heart of the city, while troops from the 40th Airborne Division began landing around the city in platoon-sized units via helicopter.

"No...no longer...President of Eurasia?" stammered Sir Phillip Sinclair. "But why? I wouldn't dream of interfering in your operations to restore Eurasia, but why?"
"Initially the coalition was happy for power to be returned to a domestic government. Unfortunately, recent events have proved that a domestic government cannot control the country effectively. The coalition will be administering the country directly for the time being. More information is not forthcoming, but I will make sure you are informed as news filters through. I'm sure that these people will make you and your staff comfortable while you wait," she replied, indicating Farthington and Rawlington, who shifted nervously. They were soldiers first and foremost, and had little interest in acting as butlers for a desposed politician.

Colonel Gregory turned to leave the room.

"Right," said Rawlingson. "Stafford! Have the vehicles arranged to protect the compound," he shouted to one of his Lieutenants.

Farthington just grunted and went back to his men, having a guard set on the President and his staff, set sentries on the building, organising forward patrols to ensure the building could not be taken by surprise, and arranging for all his men to get some rest.

[OOC: It means the coalition has just annexed the country. Not entirely Praetonia's decision IC, but I suppose Sinclair doesn't know that.

He threw his pen at his desk.

"I demand that you reconsider deposing me or I can promise you, the insurgency will get worse, and more reservists and more citizens will rally against you until you have a land that is little more than a fucking free fire zone! They don't object to having a new constitution or having more freedoms or anything, just foreign occupation! When the Eurasian populace hears this, the backlash will be more than you can handle. Whyatican Occupation Zone
As the last waves of Eurasian resistance died down, the soldiers breathed a sigh of relief. The sheer destruction around them was mind-boggling - in just a few hours of combat, many blocks of Kensington had been destroyed, with thousands on the streets, homeless. The dead piled the streets, and as the rot set in, Imperial trucks and halftracks moved in, collecting both Imperial dead and Eurasian dead, making sure not to mix them on the same truck. As the calm set in, Imperial marines continued to pour through the streets, securing their occupation zone block by block, street by street. Main battle tanks, despite getting to the battle a little late, began patrolling the main streets and roadways of the Whyatican zone, providing a great strength to the infantry in the area.

"General Raj-Singh, we have word that the Praetonians have seized the Eurasian Palace and have deposed President Sinclair." a runner said, breathing heavily after running from the communications room.

"Good. He was worthless, anyway. Tell someone to get on the loudspeakers and report on the battle, and that we are instituting martial law in our sector. What is the status of the invasion of Buxley?" he asked another communications guy as he walked to the comm room with the runner.

"The 41st Marine has landed on Buxley Island, encountering no resistance. Martial law has been placed in the city and the marines report no resistance inside the city." the communications guy said.

"Good. Get me on the line with the Praetonian general in command over at their base." he said to a radio officer.

"Connecting to the Praetonian base, sir.."

Buxley Island
The 41st Marine Division advanced quickly into the city, encountering no resistance on the beach. As their heavy vehicles landed on separate landing craft, the speed of their advance was increased dramatically, allowing them to reach city hall and solidify their control over Buxley. The ERA and the reservists had not rebelled against the occupational forces here, and the marines found that the brief anarchy that occured during the Battle of Kensington had scared the daylights out of the Eurasians here, who basically ran and hid from Imperial marines when they were seen..

The Lieutenant-General was led by his staff officers into the communications room. The previous communications room had been hit by an unaimed mortar bomb and destroyed earlier in the day, with the loss of two men dead, six wounded and most of the radios lost. The sentires saluted the General by drawing up their rifles. He returned their salute by touching his cap.

More transports. A hell of a lot more. This 'New Years Rising' as it had been dubbed by the Izistani media had compelled the Directorate to reallocate battle hardened troops cycled out of Southeast Asia to Eurasia. These units were supposed to retire to Izistan to regroup and rearm, but it appeared that this would have to be done in Eurasia.

And this time they brought the big guns. A fleet of Izistani naval vessels escorting scores of transports laden with heavy artillery, armored vehicles, and weapons. Lots and lots of weapons. If the Eurasians ever tried to revolt again, there would be no quarter given and none taken. Only slaughter.

Helicopters and rotodynes swarmed away from the fleet. The initial landings would be made at Devonport...

"General, the Praetonian General has signalled affirmative." the radio operator said.

"Good, good. I'll take the chopper to the airport and meet them there." the General said, exiting the room with his guard behind him. They walked through the halls of the base, many of which had exposed wiring in the halls as electricians ripped them out, replacing the electronics of the base with Whyatican built stuff, making it obvious that the Imperial military planned for this base to be permanent. After the 'New Year's Uprising', as the Izistani press called it, security around A02 was tightened, with numerous anti-air artillery batteries being brought out of storage and placed on the perimeter to assist in the defence, as well as the armed patrols near the base.

A transport helicopter lifted up, with General Raj-Singh and his escort in tow, as well as an attack helicopter as escort for the transport. The Whyatican base to the Praetonian-controlled airport was a 25 minute flight, which was a tense twenty-five minutes for the people in the helicopters, which were all expecting Stinger fire to come up and destroy both choppers. Thankfully, though, there wasn't such an attack, which allowed the helicopters to land safely on the helipad at the Praetonian airport.

As the blades slowed down to a stop, General Raj-Singh jumped out, seemingly indifferent to the noise, and his armed guard jumped out behind him, but Raj waved him back with his hand.

"I'll handle this alone, Private. These people are allies, after all." he said.

We suffered approximately one hundred dead and nearly twice that wounded, and that was just in the four hours that battle lasted. The Captain thought about it for a second. "I suppose... if I had no way of escape, no means to help my countrymen retake their freedom, I would do the honourable thing." By which, he meant, he would shoot himself. "It is how our culture works - the Captain is expected to go down with his sinking ship, and the commander of a garrison is expected to fight to the last bunker. My force lost about fifty dead and maybe eighty wounded, most of whom will probably recover, but of course we were only involved in one aggressive patrol."

The General took a sip of tea from a mug that was sitting on the desk. Realising that it, too, was full of dust, he made an odd face, but forced himself to swallow it.

"We seem to have dealt with all of the well trained and equipped potential enemies, however. My men currently have more than three hundred prisoners under guard in the Kensington Palace, and tomorrow I will start to launch raids on houses to seize weaponry and equipment, and arrest suspected insurgents. I would say that seeing their reservists and policemen defeated so decisively today will buy us a few weeks at least before any renewed insurgency picks up steam, and by then politics is likely to have overtaken us."

He took another sip of tea, already having swallowed the layer of dust.

Any violent resistance will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Sinclair drank some more tea.

"You'd kill yourself? It's tempting. I remember a lesson I learnt during my first SIS mission as a double O. I was being tortured by a member of Spectre, this massive terrorist organization I was trying to take down. Largo, that was his name. And he looked me right in the eye, and said, 'You know, 006, that you and I are very much alike. We both operate on the same motto: Victoria aut mors - Victory or death.' In fact, that's the official motto of the Eurasian SIS. But as the President, I feel that I have to keep on for the people. The common man would be distraught at the suicide of his leader. What would he have left? His very leader, abandons him - his loyalty to Eurasia would plummet."

Naval Commander, Pierre Grievus, stood on the deck of his ship, the Borakoul. The Borakoul (pronounced: bore-ah-cool) was amongst four hundred war ships that had lit the Outer Rim Islands on fire. They awaited departure from the area to return home. However, things have change as they always do for the Dephirian Military. Pierre had just been given orders to have his minute fleet of DeathKnights to sail straight for the area of conflict.

"Orders are clear, sail for area of conflict. Make contact with anyone that is willing to bring us up to speed. Then see what we can do."

His men ruffled about the command room and began sending the message to the other ships included in his fleet. He began speaking to one of his message writers, whom typed with the speed of none other.

"To all this may concern,
War is never a good thing to openly declare. This war is of no concern for my people, and so I will make due with no action towards either party. However, it is my duty to watch over the current conflict between the involved parties as a neutral and independant third-party.
Being an independant party, if you so much as see us a threat and begin aggressive behaviors towards my fleet, then I will seek counter measures of massive porportions. No, weapons of mass destruction are not on our horizon, but will be considered when evaluating the degree of aggression.
Our involvement is to ensure the saftey of innocent life, and to help separate the spoils of the conflict. Any citizens left without homes will find a home in our borders.
Furthermore, our involvement provides a neutral non-aggressive ground in which either party may enter for repairs and will be under our protection until they are fully operational. This is to the extent that no one takes advantage of our good intentions.
Any of our intentions for entering this conflict as a third-party aggressor is still under consideration.
You have been warned..."

Unfortunately none of it does me a lot of good - if I live they call me a dishonourable coward and if I die then none of it really matters much anyway." He sighed. "But I don't think you should be so defeatist. The coalition is not here for vengance or straight imperialism, or HMG wouldn't have spent so long trying to agree peace treaties and get Eurasia to stick to them. Something will come up."

He sat in silence for a moment before continuing.

"When I was in ViZion, there was a feeling that there would be a major war that would engulf several countries. Any minute now, tanks would roll across the border between the various colonial powers there, and everything would go to hell. In the end, nothing happened. Not only was there no war, but even the insurgency fizzled away after a few bad scrapes with our chaps. The opinion of the day is a very powerful thing but in my experience it's almost always wrong."

"I'm thinking, that perhaps after it is quieter in Kensington Palace, our respective heads of state can put their heads together on this mess, while it's still popular with the people. We also have the problem of the Spectre corporation to deal with, it is likely they have a mercenary army that we will have to flush out in Kensington and the other cities soon. "Grand Admiral, we are receiving a transmission from a Dephiran fleet." the communications officer said, getting the signal from the comm engineers further down in the ship.

Grand Admiral John Belushi looked at the transmission, and got increasingly irritated as he read it.

"Who are they to threaten us? Anyway, we have the transmission, find their bearings and move the fleet so we will be directly in front of them, so our broadside faces them. Signal them back, tell them that they will not advance into Eurasia territorial waters, and if they persist they will be fired upon." he ordered the comm officer.

"Aye, sir." he said, and Grand Admiral Belushi dictated exactly what he wanted the response to say.

Dephiran fleet, you will not enter Eurasian territorial waters. This area is currently occupied by Coalition powers and we will not accept Corporate Alliance intervention into Eurasia. If you continue on your current course and enter Eurasian waters, you will be fired upon.

The Whyatican fleet began another slow turn around, getting into proper formation for a fleet battle as they put themselves into a position to block the Dephiran's passage.

The Commander sat in silence as he looked at the reply.

"Our four hundred ships will not be that much of a threat. Delthar Scythis may need to be warned that there are people out there whom wish to blockade his naval fleet."

He spoke to his typist again.

"Indeed not our intentions were to be seen as a threat. We only sought out demands to show that you will not procede with aggressive actions towards the neutral area we propose to create. However, your intentions of pushing an aggressive stance with us, though tolerable, is regarded as an unapproved step towards future aggression. We are not aware of this 'Eurasia' waters. International waters means International waters! There are no exceptions. Creating an open blockade in International Waters is, in recollection to our archives, the same as declaring war. I hate to go against what I have taken granted, but I will not tolerate this current act of a blockade."

He took a brief pause to catch his breath.

"Furthermore, you may not realise this, but our affiliation with the Corporate Alliance is a mutual one. Though our nation has not fully shown it's power within the CA, we are a member of it only for Economic and Military benefits. These E and M benefits are for technology period. Dephire has not been in any military conflict for the Corporate Alliance. Hell, we haven't been in the Corporate Alliance for more than five or six days.

Now then. I clearly stated that my last message was a warning. This regards to a 'warning' was towards the stated message that none are to attack our neutral grounds. Seeing as you are setting up a blockade against our fleets, then I would assume you to be an aggressor to our neutral grounds. Thus you have violated the previously brought up statement.

I say 'good day' to you of the Whyatican whatevers."

The message was sent. Now he began speaking, but this message was for another party.

"Leaders of British Londinium,

"Grand Admiral, the Dephirans have responded." the comm officer said, routing the message over to the Grand Admiral.

"This means the Dephirans have effectively declared war on us.." Belushi mused, plotting to himself.

"Tactical!" He said, making the tactical officer wake up from sleeping with his eyes open. "Bring the fleet to red alert, Get some scouts going around us. Direct the AWACs to listen in the direction of the Dephiran fleet, we'll find them soon enough. I doubt they'll want to start themselves in a full-scale war against all of the allied members, so we'll call their bluff, again." the Grand Admiral said, referring to the Great Transylvanian Call, where Prime Minister McMillin called the bluff that Transylvania would not risk full scale war against the Empire and her allies.

While the Grand Admiral was thinking, the fleet continued moving itself into formation, with the destroyer screen forming a large semicircle around the inner body of capital ships. Light cruisers mixed in with the destroyers, and submarines fanned out, getting into positions where they could search for enemy submerged assets in better safety than they could on the surface. The mighty IWNS Hood, having finally completed the gargantuan turn which put her facing the direction the Dephirans were coming, and armed all of her weaponry for probable use. Aircraft carriers launched patrol planes, which spread out, searching for signs of enemy aircraft.

"Comm, signal the Praetonian and Izistani fleets. Apprise them of our current situation and let's try to get a pincer move going here." the Grand Admiral said, thinking to himself again..

"How far are we from the Dephirians, anyway?"

"I believe around two thousand furlongs, Admiral."

Grand Admiral Jules Thatcher pondered the solution for a moment, and then smiled.

"Full steam ahead. When we are at one thousand, five hundred furlongs from the enemy, open a communication link."

"Aye aye, sir."

With the news of various attacks and the continuing resistance more troops had arrived durring the night with the 16th Air Assault arriving around 4 am from Clandonia with their helicopters and highly skilled combat troops who would be stationed at the base for rapid deployment to quell any uprisings. Commander Lazurus had taken note of the Dephirian advances, he ordered two Nimrod MR4's on patrol around the main Clandonian fleet. If they passed any further there was a worry that Clandonian shipping assets would be attacked, with highly valuable cargo of military hardware pouring in from the homeland the convoys would make a good target.

'Commander the crabs have arrived.'

'Private please don't use that term for the airforce again, they are already anoyed at us after one of your lot smashed a Stryker into the side of C-130K. Well now heavy bomber support has arrived we can show some force.'

Glancing out the window at the newly lined up B-1B Lancers.

'We are safe for now and reinforcements are incoming in large numbers now from us and our Coalition allies. The President is pleased at us, he spoke fondly of 3 Marine Group at a cermony today for the funerals of the 237 Clandonian servicemen people killed so far in the conflict.'

'Sir I can safely say we will have control of Waddington by the end of the day, we have our NBC teams checked in and they are transporting what is left of the arsenal back to Clandonia.' Spoke the communications officer on the bridge of the leading CVN-21 carriers.

'Good.' Said the Admiral.

'Message Clandonian HQ and tell them this.'

As the looked out from the deck of one of the carriers as two Nimrod's flew over in direction of the incoming Dephirain fleet, he could see underneath even with his poor eyes that they seemed to be carrying what looked like the naval version of the Storm Shadow which was nicknamed the 'Slapper' by naval pilots because it was an anti-carrier weapon, one that carried a 500 kt warhead...

As the Nimrods aproached the Dephirain fleet, one broadcasted the warning message on its communication array going over many military frequencies.

'Attention Dephirian fleet you are entering protected waters that under the joint command of Coalition. Turn back now and leave or you will be marked as hostile, there is no need for your assistance here is not required. Turn back now.'

Admrial Jane Romanov stood inside the Defiance's bridge whistling a tune, made famously by Ace Combat Five. To the far left of her ship were several thousand others, but of different classes. To the far right of her ship, several thousand more others, but mimicked the left. Her business with the region was of no concern. Her orders were to arrive unannounced, and possibly see to it that Dephire could get in on the Eurasia snag. Ahead of her fleet was the Borakoul. Already in hot waters for not waiting for Delthar Scythis to approve, Commander Grieves had gotten Dephire into a war it was not wanting. Not but a week ago, Dephire had to subdue the Outer Rim Islands and the Island of Gemini all in a reunification process for Dephire to reclaim former territories lost to Nationalism.

Waves produced by the massive ship reached ten to twenty feet in most areas. Off the bow, waves of over thirty feet had been reported. The undertow from the stern would put to shame most vacuum cleaners.

The cannons of the ship had been recently replaced. Taking out the old Dominator-Class Rail Cannons, and putting in a smaller version of the Stonehenge-Class Rail Cannons. This allowed faster firing rates with the same old power, without the near WMD shell.

A telephone rang inside the bridge, and Jane picked it up.

"...no. I have not spotted his minute fleet. No, I haven't picked up any Eurasian forces. Yes, of course I have my submersal fleet. No, we aren't quitting. Yes, I will send the message to Eurasian forces. Alright sir."

She sat down in her Admiral's Command Chair. Nearly nine feet in front of her were five massive plasma high definition screen television panels each with their own job. The first, on the far left, was a map that showed distances between the two fleets and other necessities. The second screen, on the right of the first, showed an undersea map which was constantly updated. The third screen was radar for above sea level. The fourth was below sea level. The fifth was a near mimic of the first, only it had a larger scale.

"I need a messenger..."

Jane spoke aloud, but with a tone that suggested she was a bit absent of the mind. A thin pale boy sat down at his computer. He cracked his knuckles, then waved his right hand to signal he was ready to type. The Admiral began speaking.

"This is Dephirian Admrial Jane Romanov, Godsend, and Supreme Commander of the Capitol-Ranked Royal Dephirian Main Battle Fleet. What has been stated was a mere misunderstanding at which I would like to try and resolve with Commander Grieves on the account. He does not have proper authorization for such an elaborate assault, I assure you. His disregard for recieving the proper authorization has put me at a degree of annoyance. He's a fine good Commander, but this is utterly ridiculous. We do not wish war with Eurasia. These were the words of Delthar Scythis himself! Commander Grieves never waited for his orders, and now look at what he's trying to do. We are roughly several days from your region, but are only a few hundred miles from the Borakoul. This distance is minute I assure you. In fact, my ships are far faster than his own. I plan to intercept his fleet in..."

She looked at her charts.

"...three days tops. That's very lenient. He should be caught within one and a half days.

As for regards of Clandonia Prime. Your country had been weakened and so I ask, how the hell would you be able to rebuild with such speed as to enter this conflict in the first place? If anything, I should annhilate you swiftly so that I have time for my afternoon tea. With all due respect, last I heard from the attack on your soil, you had nearly nothing left. Transylvania was right to kick you out of the Dominion Commonwealth.

Now, Eurasian Forces. After you have heard what was just stated, how will you reply? Take note that I am the Supreme Commander of the entire Dephirian Navy and my only superior is Delthar Scythis, the Emperor. So I do have a powerful influence..."

She paused, but decided not to continue.

Official Statement of the Crown Commonwealth of Praetonia

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/Praetonia/PraeMilitaryFlag.png

Yesterday afternoon at 5:21 CMT coalition forces officially deposed the government of Eurasia and annexed the country into joint coalition control until such time as the security situation improves to a point where home rule can be effectively returned. As such, it is no longer the Eurasian Government but the Coalition Military Authority based provisionally at Kensington Airport in the Eurasian capital that holds power over the country. The coalition shall, in the coming weeks, seek to improve the security situation in Eurasia through a co-ordinated military and civilian effort, seizing weapons and arresting insurgents at the same time as commencing the reconstruction of the country.

It must be stressed, however, that the coalition does not trust outside forces to have the best interests of Eurasia in mind and as such the Coalition Military Authority refuses Dephire permission to enter Eurasia's territorial waters and economic exclusion zone. Furthermore, the Coalition Military Authority extends a 200 nautical mile Military Exclusion Zone around the coast of Eurasia. Any military traffic, save for convoy escorts following pre-defined routes, that enters the Exclusion Zone without permission from the Coalition Military Authority is liable to be engaged and destroyed by coalition military forces.

Please be assured that this is a temporary measure to ensure the safety and stability of Eurasia as reconstruction proceeds, and the Coalition Military Authority shall try its utmost to compensate for any inconvenience caused.

As the Clandonian guards watched as the protestors neared the perimeter fence the guards radioed into their regimental CO that the numbers were growing. The Brigadier who was in charge of the guards of the Clandonian Airforce Regiment contacted his coalition counterparts to warn of the situation that could potentially become hostile. At around 17.20 local time he contaced Commander Lazarus to inform him of the situation, he was told in a secure telephone call that if any got within 400 metres of Clandonian forces patroling the perimeter face in ther Range Rovers that they would be engaged with live ammunition.

A Lieutenant who was with a four vehicle patrol on the edge watched the protestors, his men trained their weapons on the group. They were dressed in riot gear, shield visors with their MK6 helmets but still armed heavily with their G36K's loaded and the L7A2 GPMG's pointed towards the group. Just waiting to engage them if they tried to cross from the outer fence across the ditch that Clandonian Combat Enginers had constructed as a trap to any potential hostile forces. The 14 men were nervous, they were out numbered and hadn't been in a situation like this before, many of them had only just seen combat, some even hadn't fired lead in anger...

"Sir, what do you make of this?" Asked a Lieutenant in the infantry battalion, handing a pair of binoculars to his Colonel. From the roof of the Palace, Farthington could see a large crowd approaching the building, seemingly unarmed.

"Harding!" He shouted, and his Major drew his attention from the comings and goings of Rawlingson's armoured company in the garden behind the Palace.

"Sir?" He inquired, taking position next to his Colonel.

"I want the second and third companies outside the Palace. Tell them to fix bayonets but not to injure anyone in the crowd unless they begin to draw weapons or try to force their way into the Palace. The first Company is to remain inside the Palace and barricade the ground floor doors and windows, then take up firing positions inside the building."

"Sir!" Harding saluted and went off to carry out his orders.

Farthington pointed to a Lieutenant also on the roof. "You! Tell Major Rawlingson I want him to move three of his tanks to guard the front entrance of the building, but he is not to open fire unless he believes his men or the security of the Palace are under imminent threat."

Lieutenant nodded and gave a salute, before running down the stairs to the gardens.

Sir William nodded, gravely.

"Colonel Rogers and Colonel Smith, take your battalions and spread them across the perimeter. I don't want civilian casualties, but if they insist on trying to storm the airport you have permission to open fire."

He turned to the Brigadier-General of the Royal Military Engineers at the airport. "Set up barricades around the airport around the perimeter. Hopefully then our checkpoints will be better able to control access to the airport. I don't want mines, but sandbag walls and barbed wire should do the trick, at least for now."

Around six hundred men formed the line which was two men deep. At its flanks, machineguns were set up to prevent any violent protestors from disrupting the formation.

Colonel Smith was on his horse, trotting up and down in front of his men, shouting orders to them.

A growing crowd of protestors, chanting and screaming at the gates of the Whyatican headquarters made General Raj-Singh markedly nervous as he flew over the growing crowds, seemingly ready to try to beat down the gates and rip down the barbed wire to free their country. Whyatican troops had put up a makeshift steel fence, along with barbed wire at the tops and sandbag fortifications behind that. Heavy machine gun nests were being set up behind the sandbags, and their wicked-looking barrels may serve to intimidate the growing crowd.

Raj-Singh set down on the base's helipad, and got off. He saw an idling Lieutenant Colonel, and said, "Get your battalion down to the ground, have them fix bayonets and get into positions to stop the protestors if they try to breach the perimeter. Bring out the anti-riot gear, we have the water cannons in storage."

"Yes, sir!" the Colonel saluted and ran off, and a waiting hand gave Raj-Singh his communicator.

"Yes, sir." the major in command said, and Raj-Singh could hear tanks firing up in the distance. He stood on the helipad, watching soldiers bustle out with equipment, and military police rushing outside in full riot gear, heavy weapons men carrying pressurized water cannons instead of their SAWs.

Raj-Singh heard a crackling in his earpiece, and it said, "Protestors attacking Praetonian base, repeat, attack on Praetonian base."

"That's enough! Cease fire!" Shouted Smith as a rock slammed into the flank of his horse, causing it to shriek and stamp in panic. A Lieutenant drew his pistol and shot the man who threw the rock. Colonel Smith had lost control of the horse now, which had been hit by another rock and was going mad with pain and confusion. Smith made one last desperate effort to get the horse under control, but it was in vein. He fell to the ground with a sickening crunch, and the horse followed him, falling onto his legs and trapping him.

"Return fire only!" Shouted the Battalion's senior Major. A scattered sound of shots filled the air once more as soldiers fired at people they could see throwing rocks whilst trying to avoid the barrage of stones that they were being subjected to.

"We need to evacuate the Colonel!" Shouted a Captain to the senior Major over the gunfire.

"It's too dangerous with all this going on. We'll have to drive them off!" He shouted back, indicating the rioters.

For the protestors at Kensington Palace, 'charging' when they were already pressed up against the line of bayonets was not so easy. Rawlingson continued to sit on his tank, smiling inanely.

"Attack!" cried dozens of protesters. "Kill 'em all!" Rocks and other objects were thrown, and a few who had concealed weapons started to shoot at the advancing line of soldiers.

Now that weapons had been fired by the other side, the Praetonian troops treated them the same as any other insurgents, paramilitaries or armed criminals. Rawlingson scrambled back into his tank and closed the hatch. The tanks started their engines, but did not move.

The line of troops in front, meanwhile, opened fire in three calm, disciplined volleys, just as the troops at the airport had done. Immediately afterwards, the order was given to advance, and the troops pressed forwards into the space once occupied by the crowd with their bayonets, hoping to drive the no-doubt terrified civilians into full-flight.

Kensington Airport

"Three volleys and now we advance they hold their ground?" Said the Major in disbelief. "They're like professional soldiers - and fanatical ones at that. Well, I've had enough of this."

The Captain nodded, solemly.

"Battalion! Halt! Battalion! Fire at will!"

No more volleys now, just each man firing as quickly as he could aim, and with such a large crowd, it didn't take long to get another target. The machineguns, which had been silent until now, opened fire too, adding their distinctive rattatat to the explosion of noise.

The rear rank of soldiers was still standing, but the front rank was now kneeling to allow both ranks to fire simulataneously, as quickly as possible.

"Surely they must have had enough now!" Exclaimed the Captain.

"I hope so," said the Major, shaking his head, "I didn't sign up to shoot idiot civvies with more courage than sense. Radio Brigade and inform them that we need a medevac for the Colonel and a few of the Other Ranks," he continued, seeing the odd man on the floor behind the lines, hit by a shotgun or civilian rifle round, "and a major medical effort to deal with the wounded civilians."

The machine guns mowed down Eurasians in rapid-fire succession. A mother had to watch her teenage son be peppered with bullets as she was killed by a bayonet. A ten year old boy who had snuck out of school to attend the rally was murdered, and the last sight he saw was his mother's corpse lying before him. Mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, husbands, wives, friends, coworkers - all corpses. The rear continued to fight back, choking back tears out of pure hatred and anger.

Kensington Palace

Thousands of Eurasians fell to the ground, their faces slamming into the marble. The screams of the wounded drowned out the steady drone of the advancing Prætonian soldiers. If one listened closely, he could hear the wails of a small child mourning the death of both his mother and father. Eurasian protesters morphed into Eurasian soldiers, and they too attacked the Prætonians.

'Sir reports are the protestors are storming the place!'

'Bloody hell, tell our chaps to get a move on and open fire!'

'By your command!'

As the Clandonian Airforces 2nd Regiment opened fire from their patrols around the perimeter with G36K's and L7A2's pumping out rounds into the crowd. Heavy L1A1's burst into action with their .50 rounds tearing into the crowd.

'Kill them all!' Screamed the Clandonian Lieutenant as he ordered his troops to continue firing as he waved and fired shots from his Glock 23 into a womens head less than 20 yards from him. Many of the men were wondering, this was not what they were here to do, they had just mowed down hundreads of inocents, live on camera as well as several soldiers bustled away the camera crew from CNN which had just gone live back home to the millions of televisions and computers in Clandonia.

Watching the Praetonians fire as well, the Lieutenant wondered why they were calling medevacs, none of his men were hit.

'Continue firing at will until these bastards are down, that will teach the rest of them a lesson.' Barked the officer as his men reloaded and continued firing. The blood and dismembered remains, the pointenet smell of human flesh burning from the incendary rounds that had been fired from the .50 defence guns in the sangar watch towers hung in the air.

[OOC: I accept that a number of families, children and so forth will no doubt have been killed in the cross fire, but I think we can both agree that it is ridiculous that you are trying paint a picture of it being predominantly families, women and children who not only charged armed troops with no provokation but then used repeated ceasefires not to flee, lie down, try to surrender or protect themselves or their loved ones, but to throw rocks and open fire with small arms against the coalition troops...]

At both the Airport and the Palace, Praetonian troops continued to beat back their attackers.

Meanwhile, the Praetonian news broadcaster Imperial Broadcasting plc. began their first report to be broadcast inside Eurasia. On screen were images of the crowd at the airport charging into the Praetonian lines just minutes ago.

"Good afternoon, this is Elizabeth Jennings reporting for IBC news. Just minutes ago a confrontation between Eurasian protestors and coalition soldiers erupted into tragedy as the protestors spontaneously charged the coalition troops for reasons that are as yet unknown. This comes in the wake of a violent uprising yesterday by reservists, territorials and policemen which led to the deposition of the increasingly impotent Eurasian government by coalition forces. With me to discuss the tragedy is Lieutenant-General Sir William Fletcher, commander of Praetonian forces in Eurasia.

"Sir William, what do you believe provoked the attack on the airport and who perpetrated it?"

"We won't know precisely for a while, but it appears to be largely the same people who made up yesterday's uprising - paramilitaries loyal to the pre-election regime."

"And what do you think made them attack a line of armed soldiers? Surely you find this as shocking as our viewers?"

"Yes, it is shocking indeed. I have spent years in ViZion and the colonies, and even professionally trained troops will not charge disciplined troops unarmed, let alone brush off volley fire and then continue to attack. It is my belief that most of those here today had military or police training, or some equivalent."

"What impact do you think this will have on the security situation here in Eurasia for the coming days?"

"Clearly it has the potential to escalate the violence, but if the Eurasian people can be made aware that these people were a small fanatical minority who received and ignored repeated warnings before charging a line of armed men, and subsequently used repeated oppurtunities to escape to throw rocks and open fire on my men I think they'll see that our actions were justified and in self-defence."

"Is there anything you would like to say to our Eurasian viewers who may be skeptical about your position?"

"Only that the coalition is here to help them, as we will be showing with our reconstruction efforts in coming days, and that we will only ever harm a Eurasian in self-defence, as this tragic incident has shown."

"Lieutenant-General Sir William Fletcher, thankyou."

'Excellent work boys.' Said the officer who had been directed the defence of the airport, he emptied the mag on his Glock 23, placing a new one in. The ground was litered with the.' remains of empty magazines, shell cases and ammo boxes.

'I expect you will earn your meddles for this one.'

The soldiers around him looked uneasy, standing in the scene of destruction seeing the thousand of bodies littering, the blood staining the ground red and the bits of human limbs that were blown away by the heavy machine gun fire, a horrible site as the troops turned away. Snipers still were firing from a distance as the civillians tried to run away, L96's and a few L82A1's cracking in the distance splitting apart the rioters with their .50 rounds.

This was just an example, the Clandonian military often had used these in events of war to win the local population round. There were warned yet they still came it was standard Clandonian doctrine thought the officer as he told his men to stop wasting ammo by practicing their long range shooting skills on the Eurasian civillians.

Worchester, Ganapati, Eurasia

There were four Home Nations in Eurasia: Victoria (the northern main island + Islington), Ganapati (the southern main island), Eostre (the southernmost island), and Anshar (Waddington & Bexley). Two of them had been compromised by Coalition forces. But Ganapati still contained within it the flames of revolution, and the riots in Victoria were the spark.

The local media had portrayed the deaths in Victoria as acts of genocide committed by Coalition forces, that all of the dead were small children and women. The Eurasians in Ganapati and Eostre, relatively free of Coalition presence, viewed the Coalition with greater hatred than they viewed Swanner (the name had almost become an expletive).

In Ganapati, there were no riots, all the reservists were quiet, and the military complacent. But the Victoria Rebellion galvanised the Eurasians to action.

Reservists took the streets in arms, and the Metropolitan Police in all of the southern cities assisted in the rebellion.

Five veteran mechanized divisions forced civilian traffic to the sides of the roads as they raced to Rochester. This wasn't just infantry and token vehicles either, these units had a lot of attached armor and artillery, the pavement was torn to pieces by the treads of the vehicles moving at speed.

The Imperial marine division, having taken RAF Waddlington as it's base, had no planes in this base. Indeed, the only planes available were captured Eurasian ones, which the marines wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Of course, that would not stop the marines from fighting for them. Imperial marines returned fire indiscriminately, heavy weapons men firing man-portable anti-vehicle rockets at the land rovers, while land-based autocannons targetted the Eurasian jets the Eurasian pilots were attempting to steal. It would prove to be a fruitless effort - the planes were locked down. The cockpits were locked, the Eurasians could not enter them. Given that they were also without fuel, it would prove difficult for the Eurasians to launch them.

But still, the attack made the commander of the base giggle. He directed some of his autocannons to attack the Land Rovers, while the others mowed down Eurasian pilots indiscriminately as they tried to get to planes, only to discover that they were locked down.

We Buy It Inc. Whyatican Headquarters, Miana, Whyatica, 4 days ago

Several members of the We Buy It Inc. board of CEOs had met to discuss a contract by the Whyatican government. The Whyaticans wanted them to handle the occupation of the southern main island to free up troops and naval vessels for the price of 15 Billion Credits. The contract had been accepted and forces were deployed, with the objective of occupation of the nation of Eurasia by Whyatican and Coalition forces, a relatively simple goal with little to no resistance.

That is, up until the New Years Uprising, when thousands of Eurasians rebelled against the coalition, resulting in the annexation of coalition territory and the disposal of the old government, only then was the objective changed to annexation.

WBI Fourth Battle Fleet, 2400km Southweast of Ganapati

287,400 troops and 533 vessels had been assembled and were now 2400 km of the Eurasian southern main island. They were under orders to invade and occupy, all armed forces not of coalition government were to be considered hostile and the cities would be occupied, and under the contract after the war was over WBI would get to pick 10% of the land captured for their own uses.

Theforce would land near and sieze Swansea before moving towards the center of the island, Worchester. They were equipped with thousands of armored vehicles, from M160A2 'Phoenix' MBTs to LV-08 Armored Patrol Trucks and would be ruthless in their occupation. Their troops were ready to 'dispense justice by lead' and secure the main city on the island, while the navy and airforce was eager to blow up some Eurasian ships and aircraft.

Protection was supplied by thousands of aircraft and helicopters, with their radars and sonar bouys looking for enemy craft, while ships watched things up to 3000km away with their high powered OTH radars.

Skyian First, Second, and Third Naval Fleets, 2400km from Victoria and Coalition Fleets

The Skyian Government had received a message from the Whyaticans a week earlier about joining the conflict, it had taken 3 days to get congress to accept the bill and forces had been deployed right after. Now, poised to strike just like the WBI Fleet, they sailed towards the main northern island, their mission was to land their 949,000 combat troops near Westminster to sieze control of the main parts of the islands, including the outlying cities, while their main force of 1815 combat ships turned to take on the Dephiran 'threat'.

Preinvasion softening of the defences would be handled by the Whyatican Space Force. The fleet was armed to the brim, ready to blow apart opposing forces with missile and cannon fire from behind their thick steel armor while unleashing ground troops onto the beach to get 'up-close and personal' with the rebels. They were armed with equippment identical to the WBI security forces, the only difference was their insignia, with their's being a blue and white flag and the WBI one being black and gold. Thousands of planes circled overhead, eager to 'blow something up dead', a increasingly common phrase in Skyian military lingo.

The Eurasians however, were plenty, plenty stupid that is, to stand up to possibly the most coordinated and determined coalition assembled in the recent years, they stood no chance of sucessed, their acceptance of help from the nation of 'Dephire', of all nations, basically made it know their extreme desperation.

A message was sent to the Izistani Forces informing them of their impending arrival. They would need to know that friendly forces would be coming to help in the occupation of the southern main island, wether they liked it or not.

Once the wrecking ball that was the Sovereign League and allies got going their was no stopping of it, the opposing forces was doomed. Only one force would be the victor, and the winds were blowing in the coalition's favor.

"It's curious that the Eurasian Navy would support us openly, even though it's likely that the Dephirans are coming to attempt to liberate Eurasia. We may want to keep an eye on them.." the comm officer said, not leading to what he thought the logical conclusion was.

Also, the Skyians are on their way, so have another Gorgon group begin bombardment of the Eurasian southern continental shore, we'll soften them up for the We Buy It army to move in. "We're receiving orders from the wetfeet, Admiral." the Captain of IWSS Gorgon said, recieving the tightbeam radio transmission.

"What are they?"

"We're to move over to attached coordinates, lock onto Eurasian fleet and fire a full salvo of kinetics at Grand Admiral Belushi's command."

"Can't argue with that. Do it." the Admiral of the 1st Whyatican Space Flotilla said, as the four Gorgons, fitted for orbit-to-ground bombardment moved into position.

Second Whyatican Space Flotilla
The second Space Flotilla received similar orders, except they were to move over the southern coast of Eurasia and begin bombardment of coastal fortifications. Space-to-Earth missiles, packed with as much conventional explosive as can be reasonably stuck into a missile, shot to the ground at high hypersonic speed. At that speed, not much was safe..

Adding to the carnage were the lethal Godrods, long beams of tungsten which were fired out of a missile and dropped to Earth at a particular point, causing mass destruction from the sheer kinetic energy of their impact, sure to cause havoc among the Eurasian shore defences, if they were still manned or used..

A majority of the northern mainland had been secured, with command structure being set up in Portsmouth. Cravanian armored forces spearheaded west and south, moving across the countryside with great speed. Imperial forces were met with little resistance, and that resistance they were met with was put down as quickly as possible with minimal Cravanian casualties. Infact, outside of Kensington, where Cravanian casualties were relatively high, not a single Cravanian had been lost.

The 146 combat ships of the First Imperial Task Force began to move into position, joining in formation with the Whyatican fleet and providing extra support, while the logistics pieces of the group stayed behind to offer support to forces on the mainland and to keep out of the combat zone. At its center, the INS Espada del Imperio sat with her massive guns perched. The Hood-class dreadnought was poised to strike, joining in formation with her foreign sister. Cravanian naval fighters soared overhead, forming a defensive screen in the air.

Fleet Admiral Sir William Richards IV motioned to his communications officer.

'I agree, the airforce can provide support I have managed to draft nearly one thousand of our Tuplov TU-22 MR8's armed with Raduga Kh-15's each can carry around six missiles as we need the hard tips for the extended fuel tanks. Either way, it would be a hell of a lot simpler to just use nuclear ASM's but I know thats a not an option here.'

Spoke the airforce representive who was present in the meet, many laughed at the nuclear ASM remark.

'OK so we have the bombers on the way and fleets combining in formation, I think thats everything sorted. We will regroup in the morning 0800 if not earlier knowing something will happen in the middle of the night...

"Christ! Drop the payload and lets run!" The lead SuF-5 bucked as a flak shell went off next to it. Then, with a clunk, four JSOW's dropped loose from the single engine fights hard points and glided off on their target runs. The fighters ran for home as flak started to intensify.

[48 JSOW's in total. 24 are impact delayed fuse thermobarics for police HQ and the rest have warheads full of graphite fibers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphite_bomb) and are targeted at major power transformers.]

"Commander, we've established the barricades throughout the city, with armoured vehicles blocking off key strategic points. I"m a bit concerned though, because we have so few troops here at the police head-"

The inspector's report was interrupted as bombs crashed into police headquarters, killing one hundred and sixty, the structural integrity of the building compromised.

The commander was on the floor, shrapnel lodged in his side. He grabbed his radio and signalled,

"All units - police headquarters compromised - regroup and re-establish chain of command, now." He slumped to floor, dead.

Skyian First, Second, and Third Naval Fleets, 2000km East of Devonport

The extreme distance that the missile was launched from made it extremely vunerable to radar, it was detected right after launch by an IR satellite, and confirmed by OTH radar a few moments later.

The extreme time it took the missile to arrive ment the fleet had plenty of time to get closer and prepare SAM defences. As the missiles closed within 600km thirty-two Firebolt Ultra-Long Range Surface to Air missiles rippled out of the VLS of a few destroyers and rocketed towards the incoming cruise missiles, guided by surface wave effect radar they were pin-point accurate as they exploded next to the cruise missiles causing 36 flechette-like darts to rocket towards and shred apart the incoming cruise missiles, sixteen missiles was much to few to make even a dent in the Skyian forces.

Meanwhile a strike force of seventy-two FB-177A 'Barsuk' Strike Bombers and one hundred and forty-four F-8B 'Super Phoenix' Naval Air Superiority Fighters was dispatched to take out targets near Manchester, Eostre. They were armed with ground attack missiles, ranging from anti-radiation missiles, and tactical ground attack missiles to JDAM-type bunker busters. The fighters carried several small JDAMs and medium and short ranged AAMs while the bombers carried 4 AAMs as defence. They were joined by 36 E/F-177A "Coldun" Electronic Warfare and Air Defense Suppression Aircraft equipped with ARMs and AGMs, and again with 4 AAMS as defence.

They kept low to the sea, never straying about 40m, kept to passive radar only and moved towards the island at a slow Mach 1 to keep their IR signature down, thus allowing their stealthy designs and weapons pods to keep their location unknown until they were within striking distance.

Death doesn't ride on a white horse, it rides on a black bomber.

"Colonel," said the President, finishing off the last of his wine. "I know that you have your orders, but could I send out a broadcast to the people of Eurasia? I think that it might help quell these rebels. I want the rebellions to end as much as you do, Colonel. Do you think I like seeing the entire Metropolitan Police take up arms against the forces that will be bringing stablility to Eurasia? Do you think I like being deposed because the entirety of my armed forces has decided to disobey my orders in some misguided attempt to free Eurasia? Certainly not!"

Monégasque

Monégasque was the richest city in Eurasia - filled with luxury, high-class casinos rivalling Monte Carlo and with opulent architecture, it was more affluent than Beverly Hills and more elegant than London. But not anymore.

The city had entered a state of war. Eurasian citizens stormed the Monégasque Metropolitan Police headquarters, seized control, killed the Commissioner, and forced the Deputy Commissioner to assist in the rebellion.

Hillingdon

The sound of rocket launchers and grenades filled the streets as territorials, police officers, and average citizens of Eurasia began to rebel against the Coalition troops, trying to force them out of the city.

***

Insurgents in Kensington had managed to capture control of the emergency broadcast system, and signalled, in every city in Eurasia, the following:

Now hear this, now hear this. Coalition troops, this is your warning. Leave Eurasia now, before a full fledged civil war is on your hands. If you start withdrawing within the next seventy-two hours, the rebellion will cease, violence will end, and you will have the country that you wanted to create when you first invaded. If you do not do so, then there will be a full-blown war. You have seventy two hours to respond.

[Manchester, Eostre, Eurasia]

The E/F-177A and F/B-177A electronic warfare officers watched on their screens as the RIM-116s closed in, several of them splashed into the ocean as bombers and fighters flew through their range before the missiles could reach them, while others lost lock because of flares and planes dropping speed and lowering their IR signature.

Other missiles simply exploded as they reached the end of their 9km range without hitting anything, only four F-177As were hit, with two going down, one crashed, instantly killing the pilot and weapons officer, while in the other both were able to eject safely onto an unoccupied area of the beach, quickly grabbing their carbines and running for shelter. Another two were destroyed by Phalanx installations

Several of the F-8Bs who had been at the back of the first pack of planes began to strafe the coastline, targeting RAM and Phalanx installations thus clearing a 20km wide hole for more aircraft to get inland. They dived on the coast from 5000m up, releasing small guided bombs and firing their guns in the general direction of the incoming missiles, only two were hit and taken down by RAM because of extensive use of IR jammers and flares.

Most of the second wave of aircraft came in over the effective alttitude of the defences, twenty-four F/B-177As released four JDAMS on the command bunker, a total of ninty-six bombs falling on the command bunker, radar installations were targeted by seventy-two AGM-326D Buzzblade Air-Launched Anti-Radiation Missiles, with a range of 200km any radar on the island was threated, they would fly above the effective altitude of the RAM and Phalanx and dive vertically on the target, ensuring that their destroyed hulk would probably still hit the radar.

Active radar was jammed by the thirty-six E/F-177As holding position over the beach, while F/B-177As and F-8Bs attacked airfields and other installations with near impunity. F/B-177As that had used their bombs and missiles stayed around the battle field, strafing installations, airfields, harbors and military buildings, while F-8Bs flew top cover waiting for the Eurasian Air Force to show up. Military buildings from Manchester to Bedford were strafed and probably damaged in some kid of way

[Skyian Combined Armada; 1,000km East]

The E/F-177As had also done another job, they had gathered information about the coordinates of the RAM/Phalanx sites and military installations, these were uploaded to the Skyian Fleet who then armed BGM-503 Arquebus Long Range Cruise Missiles with them. These missiles carried an 1800kg warhead and sped along at Mach 5.4 before going Mach 6 at terminal. Their usual IR sensors for terminal engagement had been refitted with passive laser detectors, much like Hellfire Missiles. It was the job of the E/F-177s to lase the targets for destruction.

A total of seventy-two missiles had been launched off, one for each lasing pod on the E/F-177s. Their targets were large military installations, NOT schools, parks, or other recreational facilities, not even police stations or hospitals, strictly military infastructure and main highways between Manchester and Bedford. Several other missiles were launched at power installations, transformers, high tension powerlines, and instead of high explosives they contained thousandsof graphite fibers that would short the lines as soon as they touched.

Meanwhile above the fleet forty-eight SB-22 Stealth bombers had arrived, they were equipped with two 60,000lb MOAB type bombs each. They were heading for the island's beach defences to lay some royal smackdown on the island's defenders.

[We Buy It Inc. Fourth Battle Fleet; 1,000km Southwest of Southwark]

The fleet trudged forward, encoutering no resistance from opposing forces, seeing as most were wipped out or already under attack, preperations began for the landing. Planes filled the air as they got closer and closer to Ganapati, still with no sign of enemy air or naval forces.

The Marine divisions began to execute a pincer attack around the city, the aim being to avoid entering the damn thing. Instead they would encircle and fortify their positions, and wait it out.

That, and keep the folks inside contained. Just behind the entrenched mechanized force, a good number of artillery batteries would be set up. It was pretty much 155mm the way through, but there were a few 406mm siege howitzers thrown in for giggles.

Once the bombardment started; the power station. water treatment plants, and various other locations deemed necessary to the resisting Eurasians would get a taste of prolonged artillery fire. "General Singh," a scout saluted, and said, "The rebellion is getting out of control now. Our marines and MPs are engaging armed insurgents in every sector, and we just got a broadcast from the old emergency broadcast system. They want us to stand down and leave in 72 hours or else there will be civil war."

General Raj-Singh snorted. "These people don't understand that it is not a civil war when they believe we are the aggressors. Anyway, I'm loathe to do this..but begin artillery bombardment of areas controlled by insurgents. Target the old emergency broadcast system. Launch the Sariels, begin carpet bombing insurgent controlled areas. Imperial Army soldiers and Imperial Marines are to begin attacking everyone on the street, get me a global broadcast." he said, and someone handed him a headset.

"You're on, General."

"All citizens of Kensington - Please return to your homes immediately. You will be shot if caught outside. Insurgents - You WILL be killed if you do not stand down and submit to Coalition authority immediately. Your families are not safe. You are not safe. Submit immediately or be killed." he said, turning off the headset.

The booming of artillery signalled a new stage in the Whyatican approach to the war - the gloves were off. No more riot gear, the main battle tanks went out with anti-personnel rounds, and began mowing insurgents down with their heavy weaponry, while small arms fire tended to richochet off their armour. 155mm artillery shells crashed into the old broadcast building, likely killing everyone inside.

Shame. Raj-Singh thought, as he barked more orders to another soldier.

18th Street, Kensington, Eurasia
"RETURN TO YOUR HOMES." an Imperial marine shouted, as he fired a burst of his assault rifle, catching an armed citizen in the chest, killing him. Not fifty feet away from him, an M160A2 'Phoenix' main battle tank crashed it's gun barrel through a window with suspected insurgents inside, and fired a high explosive round in. Other marines raced down the street, gunning down insurgents as they advanced, and they ducked out of the way as a car bomb careened toward the Whyatican main battle tank. Machine guns engaged the carbomb, trying to shoot out it's engine block before it could crash into the tank. The large van hit a block on the road, tumbled, and began a precipitous roll. It collided with the tank, and exploded.

The explosion sent huge waves of shrapnel through the air, killing the three Imperial Marines that didn't manage to dive for cover in time, as well as dozens of passersby. The tank engaged forward, pushing the former car-bomb out of the way as the advance down the street continued. Artillery shells whizzed overhead, containing tear gas and high explosives, targeted in general areas where insurgency was hte highest, exploding and tearing apart anyone without cover, and hell houses didn't prove to be much in the way of 'cover' anymore.

Whyatican Military HQ, Kensington, Eurasia
"Do these insurgents have a leader?" Raj-Singh said, and he got a response, "It's unknown, sir. It seems that they're mostly just rising up against our rule in general, no planned attacks anywhere. That's probably why we've suffered so few casualties and them so many."

"I don't care. It's obvious we are not draining their morale any, we need to begin a push against them, not allowing them dictate our terms. Order the 4th division to enter this block," he pointed at a block, 18th street at Kingston, "and capture everyone there. Use nonlethal methods, and bring them to the military base. The insurgents will stop or we will make an example of these people.."

The Lieutenant General was startled. "Are you sure?"

"Do not question my orders, Lieutenant."

"Open fire, open fire!" shouted an insurgent on 18th Street, as two hundred Eurasians started spraying the Imperial Marines with bullets. They would fight for President Sinclair.

Whyatican artillery shells hit insurgent-controlled areas, killing one hundred and ninety two actual insurgents, but hundreds of civilians as well. Shells hit hospitals, filled with the wounded and dying. Shells hit mosques and temples. Shells hit schools and neighbourhoods. Shells blew Eurasians to pieces, scattering severed limbs on the streets. Naturally, this enraged the freedom fighters further, leading them to step up roadside bomb attacks on Coalition convoys.

The situation in British Londinium was beginning to take some notice in Illior, as one of its major allies, Cravan, and many of those in the Sovereign League were taking action. Geosynchronous satellites began to take position as the uprising began. Bits and pieces were captured of the battle at first, but the Praetonian flag being raised over the Leader's Mansion turned some heads, specially after a year of peaceful occupation.

The whole of the satellites stayed over the capital, watching the slaughters taking place, with the armed insurgencies, the Clandonian Massacre, the Handling of the Praetonian Airstrip incident, the attacking of the Cravanian Convoy, and the beginning of the shelling of the Whyatican area, and the mass gunfire of the Whyatican forces, and the abrupt shooting of anyone and everyone, and the attacks of tanks on buildings.

Whyatican Controlled Kensington

Heller was one of many... many expendable soldiers of the Inquisition. The damage he had caused was unclear, apperantly not as much as desired, but at any rate, there were more. One such man was Gregory Vilnokov, an ethnic Russian of Kroando. Serving in the demolitions sector of the Coalitionist Army, he was very familiar with explosives, and certainly had access to quite a few in the formerly friendly nation of British Londinium, the name by which Kroando still recognized the nation. Vilnokov was an expert not only at demolition, but at insurgency and usurptation. He had served in over twelve countries in nine years, aiding revolutionary and counter-revolutionary forces in the name of the Coalition. He sat in an apartment building some 700 meters from the place he watched, chewing on a horribly undercooked roast beef sandwhich, simply peering through the blinds with his military grade binoculars. The spot he watched just happened to be above a major sewer intersection in the city... which coincidentally, was right below a Whyatican Convoy, specifically a M160A2 Phoenix MBT. The convoy rolled down the street in relative harmony, until Vilnokov turned his radio to channel 0917... and then eight packages of C4 Blew, in unison with ten 155mm High Explosive Artillery Shells. The explosives were rigged over a stretch of fourty five yards, set to not only destroy whatever was above, but to cave in the entire section. As the flames errupted from below, he gave a slight grin, before taking another bite of his lunch.

It would take many, many more deaths to turn this into a political loss.
Eighteenth Street
The 4th Marine Division, previously tasked with anti-insurgent activity from Eighteenth Street at A to 18th and Kingston, now had a new mission - Capture as many living insurgents as possible, and bring them back to HQ. Major General Leonard Nimoy was in a command vehicle, directing the efforts from inside when he received the new orders. He said into his headset, "All marines, 4th division, rally at 18th and Z. We push to 18th and Kingston. Tankers load your tear gas, but keep the MGs and grenade launchers ready. If they bring out heavy weaponry, we kill them, no sense risking our lives to try to capture some of them."

Nimoy received confirmation from every marine fireteam on 18th street, some of which were lagging behind in the fight. Light vehicles such as HMMWVs began the push to the front line, while marine units began to disengage from rioting civilians, butting them in the head with their rifles before continuing on. The mad rush continued until the majority of the members of the division had made it to a currently secure place, 18th street at Z.

Nimoy turned on his headset again, and said, "We begin the push now. Only shoot if shot at. Advance!"

A lead force of ten Main Battle Tanks moved off across the large street, followed by the infantrymen, and the command vehicle was behind them, escorted by some HMMWVs. As the Imperial forces got closer to the block in question, Major General Nimoy turned on the loudspeaker of his CnC vehicle and said, "To all Eurasian units: Surrender or perish."

He cut the transmission and the convoy began moving forward again, using the main battle tanks as cover for the inevitable firefight..

Park Avenue, Whyatican Occupation Zone
The bloodlust of an Imperial tank company was caught live, on video on a helicopter, as a M160A2 main battle tank crashed it's main gun through the walls of an orphanage, which had been taken over and held hostage by the insurgents, with all the children and everyone else not rioting still inside. To the horror of the viewers at home, the tank fired a shell of VX gas into the orphanage, killing everyone inside slowly, and painfully. The tank disengaged it's gun and continued on it's rampage, with bullets making scratch makes and slightly pitting it's heavy armour as it advanced down Park Avenue..

Half an hour later a marine fireteam entered the orphanage in NBC gear, to find that dozens of children, their caretakers, and other civilians were killed in the attack, as well as the ten insurgents that had captured the place..

Clandonia Prime Controlled Kensington

Hours before Vilnokov had stopped for his 'lunch time terror', a friend of his Milo Banovich had been eating breakfast with Clandonia Prime. Of course the Russian had some strange superstition, only being able to work while he ate, making him a rather pudgy individual. As he cut into his pancakes, adjusting his glasses to the sound of trucks rolling down the street, he was forced to check his watch. "Right on time." He had been living in the apartment for a month now, and would be moving later that day. "Shame.", he thought. Place had a great view. Continuing with his breakfast he paused only momentarily to set his watch, on it, a countdown to two and a half minutes... more than enough time for the Clandonian Convoy to make it to a white van parked outside a local restraunt. That van held in it, over nine full petroleum tanks, and a small detonator charge of C4... not to mention the full tank of gas the van it's had. The bomb would go, creating one helluva explosion next to whatever Clandonian vehicle had the misfortune of passing by...
Cravan

Cravanian troops fought house to house in downtown Kensington, taking down rebels as they saw them. However, unlike their Whyatican counterparts, Cravanians were far more lenient against civilians in the city. Nonlethal force was used as much as possible, and although time consuming, a lack of civilian casualties was good for press. Something which the Cravanian military depended on.

"Tango, four o'clock!", a trooper shouted as he raised his carbine, sending a short burst of lead into the insurgent's upper torso. The fireteam of four made their way down the city street, constantly on the alert for further activity. Passing by civilians, the troopers made their way to a street corner where an M4 Spartan IFV was dropping off another squad of infantry. The two units linked up, and began a push to the other side of the Cravanian zone.

Convoys no longer ran, instead opting for the use of Shadowcats and Chinooks. It was faster, and far safer, although the amount of cargo was now fairly limited. A small price to pay, of course. AH-72 Vipers patrolled the skies above, as well, providing support where necessary. UAV's constantly circled the battlefield providing updates on insurgent movements and concentrations of civilians.

Smoke billowed into the heavens on the horizon, the sounds of battle surrounding Cravanian forces in Kensington. The cracks of gunfire, the roar of the cannons firing, the impulse of the bombs... It was a first for many Cravanians. And they were doing their best to preserve their lives and the lives of the civilians around them.

Sadly their foreign brothers in arms could not do the same.

The ports and airbases are locked down.

IC:
Convoy Raid, Whyatican Occupation Zone, Kensington, Eurasia
A massive, earth-shattering explosion ripped across the convoy, tearing many of the trucks apart, and causing a general shattering of the paved road, making an IFV on the rear of the convoy nearly fall into the sewer. The M160A2 Main Battle Tank was just outside the blast range, and although the armour was a little cooked, it did not fall into the sewer and still had it's full range of motion.

"What the fuck was that?" the gunner yelled inside the tank.

"IED. Blow up a building, will you? It had to come from one of these." the commander said, more concerned with driving safely and not being blown up than anything else.

"Roger." the gunner said, and bracketed an apartment building approximately 300 metres from their current position. He hesitated a bit - he didn't know whether it had civilians or not in it, and he didn't want to be part of the deaths of innocent civilians.

"What ARE you waiting for? SHOOT!" the commander yelled, and the gunner pressed the button, which fired off a 120mm HE shell into the building, likely collapsing it and killing everyone inside not lucky enough to get out in time. The commander controlled machine guns still fired off 12.5mm rounds into essentially everyone who wasn't actively trying to get inside a building or run away. Even then, civilian hits were fairly common as the now lone MBT advanced down the street...

The convoy destroyed there was, thankfully, the last Whyatican convoy to be sent to it's destination on the ground - every other convoy was now sent using helicopter, which severely limited the amount of cargo that could be sent, but exponentially increased the survival rate, as your average schmo with a pistol could not down a helo.
