The Maldorian Landing Party unloaded their men and armor at Paradise City. 500,000 Maldorian Marines hopped out carrying loads of weapons and pulling vehciles out of the ships and stood at attention on the soft shoals. Once the vehicles plowed out, the total number of military hardware was:
580 Behemoth II SHBT
400 Maldorian Apache Longbow's
Air support (because of the Aircraft Carriers)
500,000 Maldorian Marines
50,000 MSF (Maldorian Special Forces)
800 various tanks
500 155mm artillery
200 122mm artillery
150 203mm artillery

The Aushan fleet would now feel the power of the Corporation. Hundreds upon hundreds of HY-2 missiles flew into the enemies flank, while Rajput launched BrahMos missiles smashed into their other side, thus causing their CIWS systems to decide which flank to cover.

Hundreds of shells pounded into the Aushans , whether the were from the small twin mounted 76mm guns mounted on the Rajputs, or from the deafening blasts of the Kraken's fifteen 30 inch ETC guns. Explosions rocked the Aushan fleet, and still Admiral Ironclaw was confident of his victory.

All was not as good as it looked. Several Rajputs were sunk or sinking, and a Homeland class battleship was listing dangerously in the oil and sailor filled water. Other Rajput destroyers had come alongside to attempt to save as many lives as possible before the ship inevitably went under.

At Sacrament, the 17th Confederate Air Fleet also began to prepare itself. Ten Condor class airships, along with an equal number of Hyperions and their escorts began to take off, ordered to assist the Griffincrest fleet against the Aushans.

On shore, five 500mm railguns had joined in the fray, launching their speeding, massive shells flying into Aushan battleships. Incinerateur rapid fire artillery guns were also beginning to come online. These guns were going to prove devastating to the enemy. The Kriegzimmer designed weapons are capable of firing several dozen 155mm artillery shells into enemy ships, and the Aushan fleet would soon feel their wrath.

The attack, was simply, devastating. Fires broke out, entire ships sunk, and sailors drowned.

Furious commanders tried a massive counter measure effort, failing.

In the fac of such huge losses, the Grand admiral now had too act.

-Too avoid shells, ships are now instructed too get at a safe strafe spped, lowering thier accuracy, and that of the Corporate ships.

-The Aushans, despite the amount of damage, did not yield. The massive battleships now had a good bead on the agressors. Deck guns ignited with pinpoint accuarcy.

-The coastal railguns, were doing limited damage due too thier range, but thier effect was knwon, as several unforutnate ships felt the power of the deadly shells. This did not come without consequences. The railguns were now easiyl spotted by high flying Blackbirds, which was re-layed too the subs. Cruise missels were now deployed in great volume at the confirmed coastal railguns.

-The larger corporation ships, were occupied with ship too ship battles. Submarines moved into wolfpacks, firning thie rlong range sonar guided torpedos at the larger corporate vessels, then retreating. These tactics continued.

-Aushan fighters already had a good air precense. The corporate air detachment was easily spotted. Squadrons re-formed, and prepared.

-Destoryer mounted AA Utility trained on the incoming planes.

Now that your forces have reinforced the capital, our own garrison in Paradise City will likely move towards Divinity.

My engineers have constructed a small air field northeast of Paradise City. Once we move out, you are free to assume control of it.

Squadron 42B sailed directly for the New Ausha fleet, all four battleships and all six destroyers firing all of their guns at once, the noise deafening. Missiles sailed through the air, launched by the destroyers, in support of the massed artillery fire.
This was it. One last ride for glory, straight at the New Ausha flagship, all guns blazing into the dawn...
Fleet Captain Tyler O'Niel smilled as the entire ship shook from the volume of fire it was sending off. He remembered older days, way back when, when he had been a young man who hadn't known what fear was.
Now he was old. Now he was dieing... although he hadn't known it until he'd ordered the suicidal attack. This was one last chance for glory both on his part and on the part of the traditional iron-guns and battleships navy. He'd heard the news that morning. When this war was over, all four battleships were going to be given to the Confederate fleet as gifts, to help build back up their numbers. No more battleships for the Undershi navy.
He had hated that thought with a passion, and so had ordered what he knew full well to be a suicidal attack. Straight into the enemy fleet, no time for subtlty...
He wondered when death would come for the fleet. Probably sooner, rather than later. He would welcome death, when it came. He just hoped that the Squadron got the New Ausha flagship before the New Ausha fleet destroyed their squadron. Then... then, if they had that last glory... then it would have all been worthwhile.

Mob rule had completely taken over throughout the slums. The military had only maintained a small presence around "safe zones" set up to protect foreigners from the mobs. Bands of muslims had also armed and attempted to defend themselves in small pockets around the slum. The most powerful of the bands were the Nationalists and the Communists. Massive battles were erupting frequently in the streets, usually looking like a medieval melee, as men armed with pipes, baseball bats, and knives clashed and died in the streets. The police were nowhere to be seen, choosing to remain safe holed up in their precinct house rather than risk leaving and becoming the unfortunate victims of the mob rule which enveloped the world outside them.

A gang of fundamental Catholics moved into a Muslim controlled neighborhood. Of course, that meant trouble. The Catholics were mostly carrying bats and crowbars, a few had knives, and it was certain that a number of them were packing a gun. As they moved through the neighborhood they lit fires and attacked people on the street at random. Finally, about four blocks in, a Muslim mob had gathered, brandishing much the same armament. A fierce battle ensued, as men smashed their barbaric weapons of death into each others skulls. Blood flowed down the streets, and for twenty minutes the brawl continued. Finally one group was forced to pull away. The Catholics were forced back, out of the Muslims territory.

As they went, the cursed and swore revenge on the Muslims. They swore that they would be back, and that time with a bigger force, and maybe they would even get the Nationalists to help them.

"Admiral, we have an undershi fleet attacking us."

"Strength?"

"10 ships."

"Where are they?"

"Approaching our flanks fast."

The admiral was still picking his teeth from breakfast.

"Havent our wolf packs been running through thier."

"Yes sir, about 25-30."

"Sink em."

He took a slurp of coffee.

"And of the enemy aircraft?"

"The rings of our fleet are surrounded by AA destoryers, yes?"

The officer nodded.

"There ya go. Also, scramble, say, 100 fighters at em. They wont last the hour."

With word of a fire base being taken just outside of Paradise City, the Confederate military began to panic. Embassy row was now heavily fortified, with military checkpoints every few blocks, and large fences being set up around the area.

In the Embassy district, the PCPD had brought the Hurtian delegates into the Embassy Precinct house, and had them in a cell in the basement. They were seperated from the rest of the prisoners, and given food, but they were in no way in luxury. The poured cement walls, canvas cots, and steel bars were a frequent reminder that they weren't in the embassy no more.

With the news of the bombing of a Hurtian fleet and consequential missile strike on Redemption, tensions were high in the building. The police were all armed, carrying Transylvanian made Master Snake shotguns and wearing their bullet proof kevlar vests. A police interrogator was questioning the delegates one at a time, asking them all kinds of questions from "What's your name" to "what is the password to your files", trying to get whatever information he could out of the men.

The Imperial Navy finally arrived in theatre after their long voyage. Admiral Trang Chinh wasted no time leading his ships into battle. Having arrived from the south, the fleet pushed northward towards the New Aushans at top speed. A massive naval battle was about to take place, and the venerable fleet commander wouldn't miss it for the world.

Supporting his attack, Gnats and Phantom II's were taking off in mass from SAFB.

SAFB Deployment
250 Gnats
250 Phantom II's

The slower Gnats took to the air first followed by their faster counterparts. Until they reached the coast, the whole strike group maintained a low altitude to limit the ability of their enemy's radar detecting them at range.

As the fleet closed on the New Aushans, their aircraft were made ready for launch. Helicopters took to the air to scour the surrounding waters for enemy submarines to destroy while the many fixed wing airplanes would rain destruction on the enemy fleet. Not wanting to expose the fleet's amphibious assault ships to combat, they would break off from the rest of the fleet along with half the Duke AA frigates. Their destination was Divinity City.

The Mafia fleet was pretty much gone, the carrier was on a rapid escape route with a few smaller ships supporting its escape. Men were in the water in rafts and smaller launches and picking up the injured, the Mafia had lost this one, but hopefully they had inflicted enough damage.

The men in the rafts sailed for land, many gripping AR-7 Survival Rifles and I-58s.

The difference between being escorted to an airfield and being held prisioner is considerable. As capturing a pair of well armed tanks could prove very difficult. Unless they conigned themselves to such a situation (which they wouldn't, since they all were well armed, it would be like Russia asking Germany to surrender without a shot fired; they just don't do that...)

Also, I'll remind you that legally, they are not spies, and you are not at war with them. Asking them militarily sensitive questions would only get you in trouble.

And some shotguns and flak vests vs a tank and SMGs? You crazy?

I suggest you rewind back to the meeting engagement at the checkpoint.
(this occurs before the Hurtian fleet arrives by a few hours)
--------
The missiles were loaded with HE80, a Nation-killer grade bio-weapon, though the stock used in this raid was about 12 years old, and the expected service life of such a disease was 10 years before the bacteria killed itself off on its own [though you then have potentialy lethal doses of LSD and ergot deriritive toxins to deal with]

Effects of ergot will not manifest, though Ergot and LSD overdoses (and related siezers, loss in productivity, and hallucinations) will still be manifest among the initial victims, it will not spread... much... And the warheads hold 500 kg each... Figure out how many lethal doses that makes...

I'd say about 6 made it... (Hint: France, 1951, an Ergot outbrake occured when bad bread was sold to a town, infecting many, try finding the documentary video, it doesn't seem to be on the net though...)
------
Anyways, a small firefight between the delegates and the police now would allow you to treat them however you feel like later on.

Second, you'd need a means to get there.

Third, you and BC have to figure out whether you are going to do anything.

The Undershi fleet contined in on its attack, one last suicidal act of defiance on the part of an old man against the monstrous regime he served, serving it as he commited suicide and took their fleet with him...
The Gomez Valley was the first battleship to die. A missile struck it, through the CIWS fire, struck it amidship and sent it to the bottom of the sea in two parts, fire vomiting forth from the sundered center of the hull. Burning oil slicked the sea in which men swam, melting flesh from bones.
A destroyer was the next to go, the Leningrad, ripped into millions of pieces by the force of the missile that struck it as its CIWS turrets blazed away into the sky...
The remainder of the fleet continued on in, their guns firing as rapidly as they could, sending iron death into the smoke-filled sky.

Admiral Trang Chinh couldn't help but smile as he observed the massive naval battle from his flagship, the Spirit of Ha Noi. This was the largest naval battle in the history of the Empire. Win or lose, it would be remembered for centuries to come.

The defiant New Aushans has an impressive fleet, but could they withstand the the combined efforts of the Blackhelm Confederacy, Underishi, and the Imperial Navy? Time would tell.

Between the blast of his ship's main guns, the sonic booms overhead, and the explosions among his own ships; the Admiral and his aides needed to yell at one another just to be heard over the cacophony. Nevertheless, his desire to continue the attack was understood by all.

The Confederates against Foreigners fleet had now arrived. They had been making sure t focus one the destroyers, and launched their RPG's and Kornet's carefully, making sure to aim for the bridge as they sped about. This was what they had trained for, high speed assault. The small size and high speed of most of the craft made them terribly difficult targets for the Aushans to hit, and with the training that this militia had, they were able to cause a ton of havoc for the already stretched out Aushan fleet.

The Aushans were now dealing with the battered Leafanistani Mafia Fleet, the suicidal Undershi group, the Griffincrest fleet, and now the CAF fleet. Fighting four fleets at once certainly cannot be good, and things were about to get even worse for the nation of New Ausha, as two more fleets were about to join in the fray. Not only this, but ground fire was now reaching a deafening roar, as more and more artillery came in to bombard the fleet. Nearly two dozen Griffincrest M50 155mm self proppelled howitzers had come up to the beach, and they threw in their weight with the Confederate Incinerateurs, Railguns, Firestorm missiles, and HY-2's.

With the Ezaltian and Wanderjarian fleets pulling out, the main Confederate fleet wheeled about, now steaming full speed for the surrounded Aushans. That poor fleet would soon be sent to the bottom of Neptune Bay, and once the Hillian and Neroian fleets arrived, well, say goodnight.

In the air, the Air Fleets from Sacrament had arrived. 105mm howitzer shells and dozens of Harpoon and Exocet missiles streaked out of the Hyperion and Condor airships, smashing down amongst the Aushan ships. These Air Fleets were tasked with the largest of the Aushan naval forces, and they were determined to end this plight. Off of the decks of the Condors flew dozens of SuFB-8 Strike Phoenix's, each one firing a pair of Exocet missiles screaming for Aushan carriers. Each Strike Phoenix was covered by MiG-29's, who, along with the airships, filled the air with literally hundreds of AtA missiles. Hope was fading by the second for the Aushans.

In a Griffincrest airbase outside of Divinity, the GAF was preparing to make its final blow. Forty Hong-5 bombers, each carrying two Bladerunner torpedoes, prepared to take off. Their mission was to destroy any of the light ships still afloat, especially supply ships. The pilots had no doubts of their abilities to do this, and GAF commander Herman Goldring smiled as he watched his pilots taxiing down the runway. "This is a fine day indeed" he said to a nearby radioman, and then continued smiling as he watched his planes.

These would be conventional SSMs, their target would not be the 500 mm coast guns, but the post mounted machine gun nests by Redemption, adding further confusion to the city, as these missile will lan far short of anything considered 'militasrily of signifigance' but oh how wrong that assumption could be...

10 Hiragis fire 120 missiles from VLS tubes

The fleet hauled up anchor and headed inland to within 400 miles from shore.
Heading: North by 15 degrees North-West

The damaged ships would sail back to a friendly port for repairs, as replacements 15,000 miles away steamed in to help aid the slightly battered fleet.

The HTS Verdun made an unencrypted message on open Channel, apparently directed towards the Blackhelm Confederacy:

"This is what you get for attacking friends you SOBs!"

Supposedly, BC and HT are friends with strained relations, since BC allows terrorist to roam freely within their nation, but aside from that, considers the government of BC fairly decent and civillized. (at least until now)

A flight of 25 Tu-16 Badgers carrying two Raduga KSR-5 antishipping missiles. With a 300km range and a huge 1000 kilogram warhead, enhanced with a directional C-12 charge to slice through enemy ships they were remarkably deadly. They were to approach at 100 kilometers range. They were supported by 15 C-1200 Carrier aircraft. Each one was carrying 2 I-300 Rocket Powered Floatplane Interceptors. Each one was carrying 2 Sidewinder missiles, and in their hardpoints 3 .50 caliber gunpods.

They were prepared to sacrifice their airframes but many were not ready to give their lives. Hopefully the ejection seat would function in automatic 'oh shit the airplane is going to explode mode'.

Hopefully the 40 aircraft could reach the New Aushan fleet fast enough. They had launched from Beiraq and were refueled in air by Tu-16 in a massive chain of refueling.

Another 3 hours and they would be within 300 kilometers and they could begin their attack pattern.

OOC: New Ausha, will you post cassualties from the attack?

The battleships continued in on their attack. All of the destroyers had been lost, as well as another battleship, the Defiant. That left two battleships as all that remained of the Undershi squadron - the Aleksander Miller and the Undershi. They continued their suicidal attack, their Death Ride, and went on, striking as best they could, cannons booming in the night, CIWS turrets hammering away at incoming shells and missiles...
Numerous light hits had gotten through on the two battleships, but still they came on, ready to die but not before they had their kill...
They continued straight into the fleet, straight for their goal, the New Aushan flagship.

The Imperial Troops spent the next few days consolidating their ground, and of course waiting for their Communist prisoner to improve in health. To everyone's pleasure, he was well within three days and immediately faced questioning in front of one of the most feared interrogators; Jack Williams. Williams had been involved in military interrogation for thirty years and had never failed. Of course, it always helped that everything was relaxed and calm, and the Communist prisoner was sent to the tent, less a prisoner, and more of another one of the guys

"Good morning, might I have the pleasure of knowing your name"

"Sir, my name is Edward, Edward Clarkson"

"Nice to meet you Mr. Clarkson, I am Jack Williams, how are you feeling?"

"I am feeling alright Jack, you know, it was the worst thing. I was one minute in our camp with a group of us, and the next thing, I was here, feeling the bandages."

"You were awfully lucky; your camp was entirely mined and we nearly had you buried."

"Is that your family Jack?"

"Yep, it is, my wife and three kids, they have had to put up with this sort of thing for the last thirty years. You got any family Eddie, by the way, you mind me calling you that?"

"No, I don't. I once had a family, but then all hell broke loose here, and I have not seen them. I joined the Communists simply because I was sick of the corporate oppressors."

"Okay, we are only here because back home we have a thing against Communists. As well as that, hopefully some law and order can be restored in this place. From what I hear from the bombing teams, what were once beautiful cities have been pounded into dirt."

"So long as the corporate oppressors have been stopped Jack, then maybe"

"Eddy, I want to know some information about your camp and the people there, did they have any plans or anything?"

"Well, nothing important. I do know that there was something about abandoning the camp, entangling it with explosive and setting explosive traps every ten or twenty metres. Also, there was a move to more underground sites"

"Going VC I suppose"

"Going what Jack?"

"VC - Viet Cong, when I was younger, there was a distant war in a place called Vietnam, and the Viet Cong were one of the groups. Anyway, they were mainly based underground. Well, Eddy, maybe you want to have another conversation at some stage"

With that, Edward was taken out of the tent and allowed to relax in the medical wing; he was far to valuable, providing information about the enemy

During our attack a week ago, we captured a Communist individual. He has been interrogated, and has revealed that the Communists are moving underground in that region - I would be wary of any Communist movements. They have also mined the place like anything. I am ordering the troops to clear the mines, however, it will take a while, especially since we do not wish to warn the Commies, nor endanger our troops

Our best intelligence indicates communist forces have vacated the area, and moved to locations unknown. We suspect they either escaped at night before our encirclement was complete or they used tunnels to sneak past our lines.

Most of our forces are being redeployed to positions near Divinity City.

General Sereywath wishes to inquire if you would be willing to commit ships and aircraft to participate in a joint strike against the communist Wanderjarian fleet? Ideally, the Confenderacy and Maldorians would be involved as well.

Still they continued in to attack, the remaining guns firing away at the enemy, all hope gone, replaced by determination to take their target with them... they continued, death certain, the purpose of that death uncertain...

I think so, I am fairly sure you have a small one.

The air base scrambled. The reason they hadn't launched was the fact that they expected to repel a ground assault. They had just received their C-802 missiles from a factory. They were seaskimming low radar reflectivity missiles with a 98% hit probability. It was expensive, but a worthwhile investment to take down the New Aushan fleet.

12 English Electric Canberras, fully loaded with 5 C-802 antishipping missiles, while there were 12 Earwig Strike Fighters loaded with AIM-120 missiles were acting as defense. They also had 1 Gabriel antishipping missile. These weren't very effective but they were a shot and its easily detectability would mean it would distract enemy ships from shooting down the C-802s.

They were being followed by a 22 MD-530 light scout helicopters. They were heavily stripped down and held only a single Gabriel antishipping missile. They were to fire at maximum range and return to base.

The fixed wings would arrive first, followed by the rotary wings 5 minutes later.

OOC, recapping my IC actions
Just waiting for a response...

My fleet moved to 500 miles from shore.
Launched their official missile retribution, upon the surf MG posts near redemption.*
And cussed at you ICly via open radio channel

Also asked if you understood that you sort of jumped the gun when handling the delegates, as they wuold've most likely resisted capture, they only agreed upion escort to the working airfield, not to a prision.

Trying to detour them there would resualt in a messy affair. Since my men are clearly well armed compared to your police, and are willing to overpower their 'escort' if not doing so would resault in captivity.

Have not declared war upon you, we are not invading, nor are we actively engaged in any conflicts on this thread, yet... Though we have made it clear that if the revolt gets out of hand, we shall intervene. By force if necessary. They are measuring how 'out of hand' the issue is by how long it'll take for you to return all the delegates...

*Keep in mind, the people of Redemption are having a bad 'trip' of LSD and other hallucigenic drugs... Though some few would be having a 'good/happy trip'.
(HE80, except the Ergot was killed off by high concentratons of LSD [caused by improper prolonged storage], thus, it will just be LSD and HIV...)
The 'official' missile strike consisted of High explsive/fragmation missiles

Endnote:
Both the 'official' and 'unofficial' missile strikes would reach their targets at roughly the same times, since the initial HE80 strike traveled 100 miles underwater at 1/10th normal speed (though the Hades would impact first).

So it is fairly safe to assume the same CIWS destred the same proportion of missiles (60/120) though your coasdt guns wouldn' be withing range to do anything, since the missiles aren't aimed at the city, but the value-less coast defenses consisting almost solely of .50 caliber BMGs.
This may give the impression that our aim was very poor... and that the B-2s caused more havok upon my fleet's C&C than it really did (sporadic firing of inaccurate missiles).

OOC: Blackhelm, i've been good about staving off alot of attacks with counter bombardment, nightly air raids, AA Destroyers, wolfpack strikes etc. Plus, im fed up with the GASN. I always hop in too support my dear :brothers in arms" but when the heavy fighting starts, it seems my fleet is always the one in the epicenter of bombardment. Considering withdrawing membership, and applying too an anti-GASN organization out of spite. Terrible, terrible, spite.

The New Aushan fleets supply lines now were under attack, as well as many of the formerly "undisturbed" flagship vessels. The corporate attack was simply too large, in too great of numbers. It was evident the fleet could inflict alot of damage upon the enemy, but with the absence of any GASN support, it seems it would not produce victory.

Under a massive bombardment and curtain of firepower, the rear units began too rout, heading for the mainland. Waves of fighters and bombers now made thier way from the Aushan mainland, too drop thier payloads, under bombardment cover, on the enemy. Submarines also ran across the front lines, pounding the enemy with precise torpedo strikes, then too join the retreat. The New Aushan 45th fleet now is manned and ready, spread out in the edge of Aushan waters, too cover the retreat.

Too the GASN:

We are fed up with your lack of support. Always have we been die hard allies in the organiations undertakings. However it seems New Ausha is always left too fend for itself when the conflict heats up. We are considering withdrawing membership.

According to this fellow, it is part of some supply network, and that would make it easy for them to escape. Our troops will remain in the area, however, we would aim to secure New Atlanta and Angel Bay as well.

After consulting with the General, about two-thirds of our fleet are moving out to attack the Wanderjarian fleet. We should be near it in about two to three days. The enemy fleet was being hit from litterally every angle. In the sky, the two airship fleets launched from Sacrament pounded the carriers and AA destroyers with 105mm cannons and hundreds upon hundreds of Exocet and Harpoon missiles. Beneath the fleet lay the brand new wolfpacks sent forth from New Atlanta, all engaging the Aushan subs in a vicious undersea battle.

On the surface, however, the real fighting took place. The pair of Confederate Dreadnoughts, the Confederate Pride and the Blackhelm, each opened up with a devastating amount of fire, deafening those without ear plugs on. This coupled with the dreadnought of the Corporate fleet, a Kraken class by the name of Prejudice. Along with each dreadnought were dozens of battleships, cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and even corvettes. The CaF forces had taken large casualties as well, but their presence was felt by every Aushan destroyers that lost their commanding officers to Kornet rockets. Each explosion of a ships bridge brought about a massive cheer from the small boats as they zipped over the water.

On the shore, General Marcus Blueshield, commander of all Confederate forces, watched from atop a railgun mount, smiling with each Aushan ship bursting into flame. HY-2's flew, hundreds a minute, into the enemy ships. The boom of the Incinerateurs and M50's behind him shook the earth, each sending shells screaming for enemy ships. Overhead flew the Griffincrest Hong-5 bombers. They each dropped off their payload of Bladerunner missiles, and the missiles began tearing through the water towards whatever smaller Aushan craft survived.

The Aushan fleet was not stupid. Blackhelm would not be allowed too get the flanks, as wolf packs continued their runs on advancing battleships, firing their torpedo's with frightening accuracy, deep into the enemy.

B-3 Night riders flew incredibly high, too deploy their laser guided munitions deep into the steel intestines of Griffencrest ships.

Tornado GR1's F-99 Wolverine's, F-88 Ghost's, F-44 interceptor's, SU-27 Flanker's, Mig-31's, Foxhound F-22A's made the enemies life a living hell. The expert pilots flew bravely into the enemy, engaging in fierce air too air combat, under the support of the destroyer deployed SAM'S from below, (Their wireless encrypted codes prevented friendly fire) Other fighters flew devilishly fast, too deploy missiles into the idle Carriers and destroyers.

Helicopters flew low and avoided AA, as the enemy was bombarded from overhead, and struck by fighters from mid altitude. It seemed the enemy would not be safe in any situation, as long range attack helicopter missiles plowed into the enemy.

Submarines ran expert raids, in packs of 3, 4, 8, and even 10. The advancing enemy would have no hope of evading the torpedo's.

Battleships, deployed their sea mines behind them (these being the ones at the very front line) This would prove lethal too the quicker enemy units.

Tomahawk and Cruise missile attacks continued, no end in sight. Officers looked on in pride as the orangish burst of flame erupted from the turrets, with the projectiles moving incredibly fast at the enemy, through precise satellite guiding.

Carriers deployed wall after wall of slow too descend, and long too last flares, attracting many precision missiles too explode prematurely.

The 42nd Fleet now is spread out, in a large defense ring, awaiting the arrival of the retreating fleets.

Continental missiles, SCUD like, but with far more precise guiding systems, launched at the enemy from satellite and Battleships relayed coordinates. The missiles were simply too fast, for even the most up too date AM system.

The fleet of vessels continued their long journey to Blackhelm. Not long ago, they had been fighting against these men. Now they were allies. Improbable, but so it was. In the Command Center of the Empire, the Generals and admirals were busy planning their latest operation. The enemy insurgency would have to be crushed, and with the Emperor announcing the cancellations of the Geneva convention, the men would be free to use whatever means needed to crush the rebellion. First, they would try to make friends with the locals, in hopes of gathering their cooperation. Failing this, other means would be projected. Even the old hill camp had been given a name - Bat's Nest Camp. General Winston Smith was reading through all the communications that he had received.

"Hmmm, divide and conquer, divide and conquer....of course, if we can get our troops to head further inland, perhaps reach Sacrament and help defend it, then certainly we can divide the whole of the country in two. That would mean that the Commies will be screwed for sure."

Ptolemais Beach

"Men, we will need 200,000 men to move out this evening. Our aim is to move toward Sacrament, secure it and create a triangle between New Atlanta, Sacrament and Angel Bay"

The Imperial Forces were going to be very busy this evening.

Mark Gatsby furrowed his brow when a letter was given to him on the deck of the HTS Dunkirk, it was a request for aid by a nearby NEw Ausha fleet, but due to some bungling, the message had to slog through the entire government, and undergo close scrutiny, until they finally paperclipped on their own suggested course of action, which even though it was helpful, wasn't any different than what he would have done on his own, and delayed his knowledge of the incedent by a considerable period of time.

"Get me to the radio room, I have some people to talk to..."

Meanwhile....

The governing body of Hurtful Thoughts sent a very dirty E-mail to Blackhelm Confederacy, accusing them that they are holding the delegates against their will. And as such, effective immiediatly, the task force has full permission to use whatever force necessary top facilitate their safe and timely extraction.

"You dirty %#$^@es! Dissengage yourselves from the New Aushan fleet immediately! They are withdrawing their troops, attacking them any further will help you no more than doing nothing, and not attacking them any further would conserve your dwindling resources. Consider that for a moment..."

While at this moment the aircraft carriers of HAF243 launched a flight of F-4Hu Phantom IIs, of which there were two types, one specialised in jamming and Air to air combat, packed to the brim with advanced electronics, the other was a traveling ordnance storehouse.

They had a 1:4 ratio of the two planes in the air (15 F-4s total, 3 'electronic whales', 12 'trucks')

They also launched a number of FMX-6Bs, likewise, armed to the brim, but lacking in electronics.

Their goal was to cover the retreat of the New Aushan fleet. And to boost organization and moral to the point that the rout becomes controllable.

Admiral Agnew had long spotted the large Blackhelm fleet and decided it was time to move in to assist the PROHT forces. The fleet slowly but surely swung around to face the direction of the enemy forces and advanced - launching fourty O.11s from the cruisers against the Blackhelm fleet at maximum range. The battleship line, covered from head to toe, stem to stern, width to width with destroyers and frigates, and the carrier group slightly behind it advanced in a diagonal line towards the Blackhelm fleet.

Response From Admiral Greyhammer

In an attempt to avoid further conflict, we will let the Aushan fleet limp away, provided your fleet, and especially Questers fleet, do not engage ours any further.

Through various sources in the grape vine, Halladi intelligence sent a message through someone they believed to be a fairly reliable source. They'd certainly paid them enough to be reliable. Never the less, there was a message to be conveyed to the so-called "Communist Workers' Party."

In a coded message, and furthermore in Arabic the following contents were delivered to the CWP leadership through a contact who was instructed to read the encoded script.

"Friends in the Communist Workers' Party,

We in the Halladi intelligence agency, friends to the international working class -- the Workers' Protection Agency -- have seen fit that we should contact you. Through our contact you will send a full report on the current status of your insurgency, including man-power and weaponry. The Republic's intelligence service will then evaluate the need-level of your cause and dispatch a tactical advisor to aid you in your glorious struggle for workers' liberation. Weapons and other units may be supplied if the need is dire."

OOC: The CWP does not read Arabic, and are mostly under educated whites. General Blackhorse, the CWP's leader, would be rather baffled.

The Marines were more than happy to assist, as their goverment had mistaken the Nero'ians forArabs, and thus sent some arab speaking men, which quickly translated the message.
Upon finishing this task, they sent the info back to Gen. Blackhorse with the recommendation to accept all and any help he could get.

With the fear of New Aushan invasion over, Imperial forces once again turned their attention towards countering the communist insurgency.

The Empire itself was mostly jungle and wetlands. Thus, its soldiers were well versed in the art of jungle warfare. For this reason, General Sereywath decided to leave the insurgency in Angel Bay to domestic forces, and focus his efforts in rural areas.

Their first order of business was to hunt down the enemy's hiding places and eliminate their ability to move about the country uncontested. To accomplish this goal half a dozen Predator UAV's would be kept in the air at all time, scouring likely communist strongholds for signs of activity. On the ground, inexpensive motion detectors were being planted alongside jungle trails and rural roads. Should any insurgents be located; 4 F-15 Strike Eagles, 1 AC-130 Spectre constantly patrolled the skies while a brigade of air cavalry stood by for quick deployment.

Never did Ahmet see a more miserable nation than the Confederacy. After being booked on a flight to several nations, hours of travelling, Halladi intelligence got him a a few crates of cargo into a merchant ship of a neutral nation. The captain of the ship had taken kindly the bribes offered to him, and as such agreed to take him and his cargo to the Blackhelm Confederacy.

A local company had been hired to bring up some trucks, working strictly on a "don't ask, don't tell" they were too transport Ahmet bin-Hasim to the 'dangerous' insurgency zone. It was implied that Ahmet was a wealthy arab businessman who specialized in medical supplies and was on a humanitarian mission into Blackhelm's war-ravaged jungle.

Ahmet, however, was a guerilla fighter the likes of which most had never seen or imagined. Eight years in the Republican Guard, Four in the Red Guerillas, and going on his fifth year in the Workers' Protection Agency. Indeed, behind the spies bourgeois exterior there was a hardened fighter.

Upon arrival, into the rural jungle, and passing through several government checkpoints -- several of which were resolved with bribes -- his convoy of trucks came to a small town which seemed in the middle of no where. However, through a small group of contacts established in the nation, it was noted that these people were particularly sympathetic to the Communist's cause. As such a runner was hired, and given instructions to tell a group of CWP guerillas to converge and meet with Ahmet in the hamlet.

It didn't take long before Imperial efforts to monitor the rural roads in communist controlled areas paid off. A convey of trucks triggered a motion detector. In short order, the convoy was being photographed by a Predator flying overhead...

Having received permission to engage the convoy, air assets were diverted to the area.

Two F-15's were dispatched to the area. The veteran pilots approached the convoy from behind from a low altitude hoping to catch their enemy unaware. As they grew near, the two pilots armed their cluster bombs, and determined which of them would attack the front of the convoy and who would attack the rear.

Higher up, the lone Predator UAV monitoring the soon to be battle, stood ready to use its pair of Hellfire missiles should any trucks escape the cluster bomb inferno.

OOC: I don't know enough about the rural insurgency to formulate a plan. I've left 60,000 men (including support guys) behind along with a small number of planes and a good number of helicopters. My guys are mostly hanging out at Sacrament Air Force Base while I collect information. Should my UAV's or motion detectors ever locate an enemy force, I plan to move an appropriate number of troops into position to fight them via helicopter. If some part of your nation seems to be a communist hot spot, I'll probably move men and armor to that area and start patrolling.

OOC: The rural insurgency is almost exactly like the Viet Cong. People loyal to the current Confederate government are usually assasinated, roads and walkways are booby traped, and CWP ambushes on patrols, both on foot and in the air, are common.

OOC: Your truck convoy isn't an official anything. Your entered the nation illegally without any sort of sanctioning from BC's government. You may have claimed to be a humanitarian worker while you were bribing a few of BC's customs agents and checkpoint guards, but that doesn't mean my government knows anything about you. I'm just watching the rural roads and jungle trails in communist controlled areas like I said in my post. If I see something suspicious like a convoy of trucks or a bunch of men on the march, I contact Blackhelm for permission to fire, and do whatever he says.

To be honest, I thought you wanted me to attack you. Almost immediately after I said I was monitoring rural roads in communist zones for signs of activity, you sent a truck convoy.

OOC: It is official something, and that is a humanitarian relief effort. I stated that in my post. Although, I've already stated that in my last post and in my IC post. Notice, my agent is hiring a private company. Given that it is a company that the man hired to help him bring what he told them were humanitarian supplies, don't you think the company on its own right would acquire some sort of license? It was rather implied, because honestly I really don't need to put every detail like that about a random company that has nothing to do with my nation.
