Today, a division of British Londinian troops stationed in the north marched on the city of Lundenwic and declared the city's independence from British Londinium.

As of now, the extent of support for the revolutionaries is unknown. However, the rebels' ranks continue to grow.

The Emperor and Empress of British Londinium announced that this revolution would meet a "harsh end" and that the leaders of the revolution would have their world transformed into an "unending cacophony of screams."

The Dual Monarchs also passed Pragmatic Sanction 308810, which mobilised British Londinian forces across the world.

Special Action Unit 209 is en route to your capital. This company (100 soldiers) of elite soldiers are at your government's disposal. More troops will be provided if you request them

OOC: Well, right now there isn't any info on them, but later they're going to reveal themselves as authoritarian socialists.

Somewhere in international waters near British Londinium, a medium-sized cargo ship sits in a fixed position. Onboard are elements of the Avisronite Central Intelligence Divisions elite radio-intelligence unit, which are assigned to communicate with people inside other nations which may be helpful in installing pro-Avisronite governments.

A message was sent out, directed towards the rebel military units in Lundenwic.

"Whoever is in control of Lundenwic, we may be able to help you. First, we need to know something about you. What kind of economy do you support? What are your goals. This message will repeat."

Today, the revolutionary leaders in Lundenwic made a radio broadcast to the world. The following is an excerpt of their communiqué.

The time for British Londinium to fall is now! The time for capitalism to fall is now! I, Peter Grueber, the leader of the United Socialist Forces, have seized the city of Lundenwic; Lundenwic shall serve as the basis for the fall of the Dual Monarchy. Kneel before us, Emperor and Empress! Surrender at once!

A full Army Group is being flown to British Londinium, comprised of the following:
Battlegroup Firestorm: 5th SS, 17th SS and 18th SS divisions (5th is armour, the other are mechanised)

Announcement from the Government of British Londinium

Revolutionary troops recently marched out of Lundenwic and seized the city of C'est la vie to the west, taking possesion of two squadrons of aircraft. To counter this, the Emperor and Empress have ordered the following:

All men between the ages of 18-65 are to report to the nearest Government building to report for conscription. All those that fail to do so shall face execution for sedition.

There is currently a Purple Curfew in effect.

The Posse Comitatus Act is hereby suspended until further notice.

Divisions IX, V, and III are to march towards the rebel cities forthwith. Alpha Wing is to be scrambled at once.

The Skgorrian forces are beginning to arrive in British Londinium, the first forces in country are 5th SS "Zionbane", 3 wings from 6th Air Army and half of a Godhammer brigade. They begin to establish a base on the outskirts of the capital.

Current estimates place their numbers at 100,000 ground troops and twenty-four fighter/bombers. They are marching from the north down to the capital. Intelligence about their leader, Peter Grueber, is scarce.

The Skgorrian forces immediately began to deploy to the north of the capital to face the enemy. In front were the 3 regular army divisions, with the SS armour being kept in reserve. Interspersed amongst the front lines were the 216 guns of the 1st Godhammer Brigade, and a squadron of Su-37s were flying CAP over the Skgorrian lines. Infantry began furiously digging in...

Only last year had the military drafted all religous people at military acceptable age. They had been whipped into shape, and were now members of the Elite Army. One thousand of these Theist Elite forces were in airplanes. They were a few miles from the capital of British Londinium, ready to parachute out and fight the enemy.

The rebel troops, having cleared the southern mountains, started to build a defensive line 5 kilometres away from the outskirts of the capital.

Generalissimo Grueber talked to his commanders.
"Men, I understand we have in our possession a few thousand Royal Engineers."
"Yes, sir," replied a commander.
"Let us have them build a tunnel network to Kensington. Use our aircraft to delay Skgorrian attack."

OOC: The government of British Londinium is pro-capitalist, with a dual monarchy leading the state.

The sudden revelation that the enemy was to the south baffled and confused the Skgorrians. The reserve armour and one of the army divisons began to move to the south through the city to confront the enemy. Half of the Godhammer brigade moved forward into the city and began to set up firing positions, whilst recon aircraft (SR-71s) flew over the area to get a detailed picture of what was going on in the area...

As the giant lifters roared over British Londinium's capital, their Go-Lights clicked green. As one, a thousand voices bellowed.

"Go! Go! Go!"

Within five minutes, a whole division had dropped from their transports, now burning hard away towards the border.

8th Drop Division, with its armour, light artillery, and other support, floated down to earth just south of the capital.

Within half an hour of landing, they were dug in, awaiting their relief - 1st Army Group, en route in the entire air transport fleet of the Atopian Logistics Corp...

The south-bound Skgorrians were 25 miles away from the front line of rebels, with them still moving through the city. Godhammer cannons were gradually drawing to a halt as the 2 divisions ploughed forward.
"Fire" came the order, and 108 Godhammers fired their cannons for the first time in anger. 108 atomic shells screamed into the rebel lines and 108 huge fireballs a mile wide and long blossomed into the sky. For the first time in military history, atomic artillery had been used in a combat situation.

A man in a dark suit with sunglasses walked into the main offices of the Kensington Times. He walked up to the main editor's office, and dropped an official SIS report on the woman's desk. Before she could even ask who this man was, the man left, went down the elevator, and was never to be seen again.

The editor looked at the document; it detailed the evacuation of the Monarchs...what a sensational story! She ordered that it be placed in tomorrow's editon.

Right then, I support the rebels.

IC:

As the airplanes neared the capital, they recieved radio communications from the capital. The standard "Who are you", "What do you want", etc. The commander responded, "This is the Nova Brittonian Imperial Elite Army. We are here to help destroy the rebel forces. Requesting permission to deploy paratroopers."

The paratroopers inside were scrambling. Attaching their bayonet attachments to their semi-automatic rifles, grabbing their grenades and pistols, checking their parachutes, checking to make sure they had their rations, and activating their helmets. Yes, the helmets had radio, sattelite connection, HUD, email, built-in flashlight, some chemical and biological protection, and built-in video camera. They were expensize, and only given to the Elite Army. The lower armies had no chenical and biological protection.

The Skgorrian SR-71s noticed the deployment of paratroops and relayed the information to SatControl. It would soon be seen who the paratroops were supporting.

Meanwhile, observers waited to see the result of the atomic attack

The tunnel was a kilometre away from the capital when the nuclear shells fell. In an instant, 75,000 men were killed.

10,000 men remained to fight. Another 5,000 were in the tunnel, continuing to dig towards the capital.

The Generalissimo ordered his ten thousand men to charge on the capital.

The British Londinian troops in Kensington watched as Nova Brittanian forces paradropped over the city. Some opened fire at them, but most of the soldiers were concerned with the open chaos that reigned in the city as people read the Kensington Times' latest story, and as the Generalissimo and his small contigent of troops marched on the Parliament building.

"All troops: fire at will! Destroy these socialist scum! Long live the monarchs!"

100,000 men and 3 squadrons of aircraft took those orders to heart.

"General," cried the radio-operator, "The enemy are attacking... by... um... charging towards us?!"
"Excellent. We will reap a bloody harvest!"

All along the line, the 8th Drop's units opened fire on the charging rebels. Their dug in heavy machine guns, autocannon, and artillery pieces chattered, barked, and roared. Air-dropped light armoured vehicles' chainguns ripped the air apart as mortar bombs crashed amongst the enemy. Rifles and squad support weapons stuttered, their cracking reports punctuated by the deeper barks of underslung grenade launchers. Anti-tank rockets blasted from their user's shoulders, and snipers picked their targets with care...

"Get me air support," yelled the General, "the Skgorrians have Su-37s in the area!"
"At once," said his radioman, as he called up the Skgorrian aircraft...

A series of oversized transport trucks pulled up in front of the Parliament buildings, out of which disembarked 2 full companies of Ubersoldaten and their support crew. Their orders: to hold this postion at all costs.

OOC: These soldiers are armed with two M242 Bushmaster cannons and ammunition is contained within ammunition bins that can be ejected. Ubersoldat troopers stand up at a full 14 feet tall in their chobham armour, and as a result need their own special transports. They are quite slow and ponderous, and their ammunition takes a long time to replace, thus as a result of these constraints Ubersoldats are used rarely by themselves. Ubersoldats are best employed as shock-troops, in a bastion-defense or in civillain supression. I can give you a pic if you want

"Excellent," said the Generalissimo as his troops were slaughtered, "Just the distraction I needed."

Chaos reigned in Kensington. People were assaulting soldiers, soldiers were forced to shoot into crowds of civilians, and Nova Brittionian troops were paradropping into the capital.

The Generalissimo punctured the city's defences and proceeded to march on Parliament. En route, his 'diggers' emerged, and they joined up with the Generalissimo's forces. Since the British Londinian troops were too distracted with the riots, they were an easy conquest...with the government forces weakened, the rebel forces proceeded to march towards Parliament, waiting for an unconditional surrender.

The rebels had clearly ignored the Ubersoldaten. Although the government forces seemed to have surrendered, the Ubersoldaten were doing no such thing. 200 huge, heavily armoured leviathans strode towards the approaching rebels as they neared Parliament.
"Enemy...terminate" growled the UberUbersoldat, and 400 Bushmaster cannons roared as the Ubersoldten plowed forward...

As the message broadcast on all Skgorrian frequencies, 8th Drop began moving out, by vehicle, fast.

A thousand miles away, 3rd Strategic Air Fleet fired their nuclear missiles. Each cruise carried two 10MT nuclear warheads.

There were five hundred cruise missiles - and all thousand warheads were aimed at the capital...

The Emperor and Empress were horrified at the devastation occuring in their country, the country that they had worked so hard to build. They ordered their submarine to rise to broadcasting depth, and issued the following broadcast:

I ask that all forces in British Londinium surrender to the rebels. Conflict at this time will serve no purpose but to kill the people of British Londinium. Skgorria and Atopiana, my wife and I cannot thank you enough for you support, but the best support would be to end this conflict forthwith with a minimal loss of lives. Please, call off the cruise missiles.

As the submarine descended again, the Emperor and the Empress held each other, sobbing.

Skgorrian troops began abandoning the capital, falling back to pre-arranged RVs but fighting rebels as they fell back.

The Ubersoldaten continued their implaccable advance, firing at the rebels...

In order to save your country we must scourge it. We will, however, use no more nuclear weapons, as soon as the capital is destroyed.

Special Directive Unit squads, spread throughout the city prepared for the invasion. Uncovering their heavy machine guns, and squawking incessantly on their portable radios, the men scurried about getting ready to repel the paratroopers. The monarch's throne was blessed in the sight of God, these men were blessed by the thrown down angel Lucifer, they would "commute" hundreds that day. They were assured many would feel their death at their hands.

As these men started shooting shots at lower paratroops, the Moorish government itself was getting itself fully prepared diplomatically and economically. A heavy portfoilio collection detailed the exact nature of the Moorish High Commands current steps, prepared steps, and obligations it felt towards the British throne reached the embassy from British Londinium in Moorington, Moorington. With it were a few choice words, a memo of sorts, from the High Chancellor himself, Herr Bismarck.

"This is not a class struggle of proletarians against the bourgeois, this is not a simple matter on any degree. Yet I feel that God blesses certain people to be above sin, so that they may carry out his service with no fear, for in times of distress and chaos a few of us must rise above the petty needs of the worker, of the businessman, and truly shape a country. People like you and me.

The people understand that, but a few certain have only let themselves be clouded by hatred, fear, and greed. They see you, and declare that everyone must be equal. Yet not everyone can be king, either because of intelligence or courage, or a number of undefined qualities. They should raise themselves, not lower yourself, so that is why, the Moorish government is giving you two brigades of elite troops, and 2 division of quality I have no doubt wil ensure your life until God closes your book.

1st and 2nd divisions are placed under Far West Front Command, under the direct authority of General Chief of Staff.

The rebels fled the advance of the Übersoldaten, trying to circumvent their deadliness by rounding the blocks of the capital.

A few of them, with the Ubersoldaten advancing away from Parliament, broke in and held all of the MPs captive. The Generalissimo was among them, and ordered all the Cabinet members brought before him...except the Cabinet had relocated government to Westminister.

"Fuck!" shouted the Generalissimo. "Kill them all! Kill every single last one of them!"

The rebel soldiers fired their machine guns into the MPs. There were no survivors.

The nuclear flames could be seen from space, as the whole capital was wiped out. The Emperor and Empress, upon hearing of Kensington's destruction, simultaneously wept and cheered.

The government in Westminster immediately made plans to contain the radiation.

Caught in the fire of the combined 10,000MT blast, the slowest units of 8th Drop disintegrated. Armoured vehicles burst into flame, exposed troopers turning to ash in an instant - and then they were crushed in the pressure wave, shattered and twisted by the blast.

"Wooo-hooo!"

The survivors simply cheered. Now they could get on with their real task - eradicating all resistance in their path. The division broke into its component brigades, and they into their battalions - and they advanced south on a two mile wide front. All who got in their way would be cut down without mercy...

All surviving military units in British Londinium are to focus their efforts on exterminating the rebels.

The Praetorian Guard is hereby ordered to appear in Westminister, as the Monarchs will be arriving shortly.

The Skgorrian forces had grouped into two sections - to the North, 5th SS and 6th Army along with half of 1st Godhammer Brigade and 6 wings of 6th Air Army. To the South, the remainder of the units. They waited to see what the actions of those around them entailed to...

As 8th Drop moved south, the first elements of First Army Group were landing south of 8th Drop.

The 'first elements' were 7th, 12th and 3rd Armoured Infantry Divisions, supported by 1st Dedication Division, several Special Commandos, and would soon be joined by 6th, 9th and 11th Armoured Infantry - the final wave to include 1 Strategic Artillery...

Skgorria offers a company of Ubersoldaten as bodyguards to the Monarchs. As the events in Kensington have shown, these soldiers are truly implaccable and cannot easily be defeated.

The two groups began circumventing the damaged area to unite and form one big group (yay for accurate military terms :p). No rebel contacts have been reported, but there are faint radio signals coming from within the Radzone

I Corps, 2nd Army, Army Group South, advanced on a hundred mile wide front, sweeping all before them. Civilians were detained, and all those caught in Free Fire Zones were shot.

By the end of the first day, I Corps had advanced 100 miles northwards...

The SDU units had only barely managed to escpae, and were going as fast as they could towards certain airports, locations of the 2 division's drop of and organize areas. There the 2 divisions were being flown in, and supplies organized.

The international support recieved in combating the rebels is most appreciated. Skgorria, your bodyguards are a welcome addition to the Praetorian Guard and will be put to good use.

However, the good will extended to our allies is complemented with extreme animosity towards the rebels and their supporters. Because of these terrorists, and their continued existance in our nation, certain measures will be put in place.

All men ages 18-65 are hereby ordered to register for the Selective Service.

Let me extend my condolences for the loss of your capital, it must be a terrible blow to your national prestige and economy. Make sure to portray Kensington's destruction as the inevitable result of rebellion, that there were no other options left. The promised company of Ubersoldaten and their support crew (300 technicians) are en route to your Royal Residence now. Their cannons will stop anyhthing short of a modern tank.

My Army Group is now fully assembled and ready and willing, with the power of the Godhammers backing your government, only a fool will dare challenge us to an open battle.

Skgorrian aircraft spotted a large ammount of unidentified paratroopers disembarking near your former capital just before the missile strike. We must remain cautious. There are two other unidentified divisions as well, I will attempt to contact them and ascertain their loyalties.

The fire of rebellion has died, now we crush the embers.

Reactions in Skgorria to the destruction of the rebels through the combined might of Atopiana and Skgorria were jubilant. Government news networks told stories of hordes of socialist rebels being purged beneath the atomic flames of the Godhammers, torn apart by the now-revealed Ubersoldaten and crushed by the Atopian nuclear strike.

The Skgorrian Army Group, now named "Army Group British Londinium", aided the Atopians by setting up a few internment camps for civillians for their own safety and to treat any injuries. However the Skgorrians remained fixed, relying on convoys to transport civillians to the camps.

Army Group British Londinium was suprised to hear of the Chancellor taking power, but welcomed the shift in power. 4 large internment camps had now been set up, and convoys with trucks full of civillians arrived every hour to unload their cargo. These convoys were heavily guarded by tanks, mechanised infantry and aircraft.

Meanwhile, the Skgorrians helped the Atopians by supplying arms to the loyalist militias and providing them training. Rumours circulated around the country that Special Action Division might be coming...

Communiqué to all Members of the Party

PWS Artful, Somewhere near British Londinium

The nuclear submarine proceeded sluggishly on her patrol at just 8 knots. There was no hurry. For the past few hours they had been broadcasting the same message again and again with its VLF radio set:

"MOST NOBLE SOVEREIGNS OF BRITISH LONDINIUM STOP HIS MAJESTY KING SARIUS I OF PRAETONIA EXTENDS TO YOU THE OFFER OF ASYLUM IN THE CROWN COMMONWEALTH STOP YOU WILL BE TREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR STATUS AND PROTECTED HARM STOP' followed by some GPS co-ordinates setting out where and when to rendezvous with the Artful for escort to a safe port.

So far, Artful had received no response, but she did not expect to. The foreign submarine would not want to risk giving up her position, even the low risk of shore detection of a VLF signal. Artful still had another few hours of broadcasting left before she would proceed to the meeting point to escort the Londinium Monarchy, or not, as the case may be.

OOC: Nova Aquaria, chances are he doesn't know who you are, let alone trade with you. Your petty little trade embargo is likely going to harm your nation more then his. Fool.

As soon as the Empress sent her message, which was fell on deaf ears, Nova Brittonian submarines and helicopters swarmed into the Gulf of Londinium. The submarines closed the gulf off from escape, while the helicopters searched to destroy the enemy. As soon as more submarines arrived, they would search the Gulf by sea to find the Emperor and Empress.

The 1st Royal Navy Attack Group, upon hearing Praetonia's signal, immediately set course for the coordinates provided.

Upon hearing of Nova Brittanian forces nearby, aircraft were scrambled and all forces were placed on defensive alert.

The captain of the HMS Trafalgar, the submarine containing the Monarchs, ordered the submarine to a depth of 700 feet and to proceed to the Praetonian coordinates.

Having finished her patrol, Artful slowly dived deeper into the water. If her signals had been detected, anyone interested in stopping the Londinium Monarchy from entering the protection of a powerful state would know exactly where to go, and when they must strike. She would take no chances. As a Vanguard Flight II Class submarine, Artful had forward mounted torpedo tubes, a VLS battery behind the conning tower and a small SAM VLS in her mast. She was a powerful foe in her own right, but more than anything she would rely on stealth and the cachet of the navy to which she belonged to keep her safe from foreign adversaries. A single submarine could not hope to resist an entire battlegroup, should it be brought against her.

"We are coming up on the rendezvous point, Capt'n," reported the Duty Navigation Officer.

The Captain nodded his acknowledgement and ordered a full stop to allow the passive sonar to work at optimum efficiency, free from interference caused by engine noise.

"One contact, capt'n. Very faint. Submarine, several miles distant."

The Captain nodded. It could be the Londinium Monarchy, or it could be a trap.

"Bring us up behind them. Stealthily, if you please," he ordered. The submarine turned and, at a mere 8 knots, progressed on a standard attack course. She would end up behind the foreign submarine so her sonar would be able to work perfectly, but the foreigner's sonar would be diminished in capability at best in trying to spot an enemy behind her, blocked by her own hull and by cavitation bubbles from her propulsion.

The enemy submarine did not appear to have noticed her.

"Weapons - give me a full spread of torpedoes. Comms - let them know we're here."

With the tubes loaded and ready to fire at a moment's notice, another, very weak, signal was broadcast to the other submarine.

The Nova Brittonian helicopters had waited for awhile, and then left. Reinforcment submarines had arrived to relieve the Gulf of Londinium Blockade, and fifteen extra submarines had been sent to destroy the Praetorian submarine and capture the Dual Monarchs. This was going to be an interesting rendezvous. Nova Brittanica was hoping with all their hearts that the submarines would get to the enemy in time.

Internal Memo from the High Chancellor to the Cabinet

Recently, a terrorist attack killed 10 Royal Marines in one of our shipyards. This is intolerable! Intolerable! Let me remind you that sedition is a criminal offence punishable by immediate execution by firing squad, any one that dissents or in any way harms the activities of this Government may be got rid of under this law.

The people can not know of this. All Party members are to state that these Royal Marines were traitors who merely recieved their punishment.

Victory through Vengeance!

OOC: Nova Brittanica, the bay isn't bottlenecked, it's rather wide.

Unbeknownst to the crew of the Artful and the Londinium submarine, a small Nova Brittanican fleet had been hunting them for almost a day now, and had intercepted communications signals. Now, however, the trail had run cold. Neither vessels were transmitting any longer, and both were travelling very low in the ocean depths, at maximum speed.

"We shall break out into open ocean," said the Captain, "and from there we will become lost in the depths." He looked around the room. His Officers were all nodding their heads.

"If we are intercepted it will be by helicopter," said one Officer, "and we can engage without having to surface."

Another officer agreed, "Helicopters will be in range from the British Londinium coast for the next few hours at least."

"And after that submarines could potentially track us for thousands of miles. We will not be safe until we reach an Imperial Navy surface group," said the XO.

At this point the Captain decided to bring the meeting to a close.

"It is imperative that we protect the Dual Monarchs. Even if our own vessel is badly damaged or destroyed, we will still have done our duty if they make it to the Crown Commonwealth alive. If there are indeed people after us, who have even a vaguely credible anti-submarine warfare capability," the Captian was thinking of the British Londinium navy, but the Nova Brittanican navy was much the same kind of threat, "there is a very serious possibility of us being intercepted.

"This may not seem like our conflict, but the war against tyranny is the conflict of all free men anywhere in the world. We must go to our duty with stout heart and the willingness to sacrifice our selves to a great cause. God Save the King."

The other officers echoed 'God Save the King,' solemnly, and departed for their stations.

OOC: I didn't say that I had completly and heavily blockaded every square inch of the bay. Submarines patrol the bay, and cover quite a bit of land (water?) per submarine. If one submarine is attacked all the submarines charge in.

1st Royal Navy Attack Group
Gulf of Londinium

With the submarine safely gone, the attack group was safe to attack the incoming Nova Brittanian submarines and the British Londinian "interim" government.

Admiral Tuiab, leading the attack group, ordered three cruise missile strikes on the BL army bases. This admiral would not go down with out a fight.

Aircraft were scrambled to attack the helicopters, and submarines sought out Nova Brittanian submarines and opened fire upon them.

OOC: How many aircraft does Benjamin Browning count?

Nova Brittonian helicopters fired out machine guns and missle fire at the enemy aircraft. Benjamin Browning, the leader of the attack group, looked over his thirty helicopters, and then started counting the enemy aircraft. He knew that the battle in the air was not nearly as important as the battle going on beneath the waves.

Meanwhile, under water, the fifteen submarines started launching torpedos to destroy the enemy submarines, while they themselves danced away from enemy attack. Right now, it wasn't about capturing the Dual Monarchs. It was about blowing the Royalists apart, completly and utterly.

Internment Camp A, Processing HQ

A piece of paper was placed on the desk of the Camp Kommondant. On it was written the list of the nations that the new British Londinium government had declared as enemies of the state. Shortly after recieving this, the message was passed on to Camps B, C and D, then to the Atopian Army HQ. Any citizens found of these nations have been seperated from the normal British Londinium civillians.

"Drokk it" growled a Storm-General in his command tent, "my men aren't trained to handle this. I have tank crewmen guarding glorified holding pens."
"Agreed," assented his regular Army counterpart, "we need special expertise."
The two men fell silent. After a short while, the Army General spoke.
"We need Special Action Division."
"This will have serious repercussions," warned the Storm-General.
"This is what they were trained for, they are needed here." Nodding in agrrement, the Storm-General sent a message to Skgorria Storm Squad Command.

OOC: British Londinium, I want to do something with my men that were assigned to your Monarchs. Are they on the sub?

The admiral's second in command was a secret Party member. He hadn't been able to report to his superiors, but he could kill the admiral. He drew a machine gun, and pumped the admiral full of lead.

The Ubersoldaten that were assigned to the monarchs were too big to fit through the hatches easily, so with the aid of their technicians they had positioned themselves throughout various hangars, with a squad going up to the flightdeck. Upon hearing the orders of Vice Admiral Qwerty, they powered up their weapons and issued identical voice commands:
Obey him, stand down or be destroyed

Complying with the directives of the Ubersoldaten and the Vice Admiral, the submarines surfaced, the missiles stopped firing, and the aircraft landed. Most of the soldiers laid down their arms, but a few staunch Royalists opened fire on the command deck with the carrier's super-fast Sea Lion machine guns.

The Ubersoldaten on the flightdeck took a few seconds to locate the emplacements on the flightdeck that were firing at the command tower, then fired back. Cartridge cases fell to the deck and clattered in a strangely melodic manner as hundreds of rounds were fired at the emplacements on the flightdeck.

In Skgorria, the commander of Special Action Division began preparing his men and women for a little trip...

"Quite. What shall I tell the Atopians?"
"Tell them that we want independance, Syme. Tell them that."
"I say! Are you sure?"

Gulf of Londinium

It was like the Nova Brittonian soldiers had never been there. The submarine blockade returned to Ireland Island back in Nova Brittanica. The helicopters were going to Fort Greece on the Nova Brittanica Island.

George had been preparing for this for weeks. He could not bear to his great nation suffer under the cruel regime of the High Chancellor. Most people couldn't. But the High Chancellor had instilled a sense of fear into everyone; few people would act. He was one of those few.

George strapped the explosives to his chest, then placed a shirt and heavy jacket over them. He grabbed his ID card. It would be unfortunate for his plan to be destroyed due to a trivial matter.

Striding towards downtown Westminster, George mentally prepared himself for the upcoming attack. He wished he could attack the High Chancellor's office, but it was too heavily guarded. Ergo, he would make a symbolic attack on the Court of Justice, the interim centre of the judicial branch.

George entered the Court, and pressed the detonator.

The ensuing explosion vapourised most of the building, and shrapnel and fire consumed the surrounding block.

From the High Chancellor

In regards to the recent attack on the Court of Justice, it is to be reported that the explosion was part of a planned demolition.

All efforts must be made to destroy this terrorist group.

"Stop stop stop!" a communications officer yelled as he ran across the playground towards the assembling troops. "We've got new orders." A burly-looking Colonel grabbed the officer and snarled,
"this had better be important," in a menacing tone. The officer paled, and stammered,
"C-c-command wants us t-t-to move out to British Londinium." Sighing, the Colonel released the officer and turned to his men and women.
"Sorry everyone, we can't go to Dinoworld. We have new order."
They all sighed and booed,
"Look it's not my fault," he continued, "but I'll take you next year." With that, the SAS began preparing for deployment.

"Superb! We must reach the Thames by mid-day."

Spearhead, five miles into southern British Londinium, 09:25

As the vehicles of the 10th Brigade rolled forth from their start line on the Northern Front, they encountered little immediate resistance. They were twenty miles from the Thames river, and already ahead of schedule...

EDIT: OOC: I started writing this before BL's post recognising the SR. So I'm putting this down as a communications SNAFU and will call the invasion off in a bit. :)

Camps A through D

Any suspected dissidents were executed just before the troops pulled out. The 6 divisions began snaking south with any refugees that wanted to head to the Social Republic. Messages were sent to the Chancellor informing him of the Skgorrian compliance and requesting that the Ubersoldaten and the techs be sent to the Social Republic unharmed and unquestioned.

OOC: Works for me, just don't kill too much...

The bombing of the Court of Justice emboldened everyone. Nobody believed that tripe pushed out by the government. The time to act was now.

The military rose up against its oppressors, slaughtering the party representatives. The missile silos opened up, not to fire at the enemies of the Chancellor, but at the Chancellor. Only a few thousand troops remained loyal to the Chancellor.

Riots broke out in Westminister, and the Interim Troops opened fire, killing thousands of innocent civilians.

A Royal Navy destroyer began shelling the city.

Ashen faced, Lt-Gen Markus Briand turned to his Field Marshal, communication printout in hand.

"Sir," he began, "we need to recall the army group."
"What!? Why," thundered the Field-Marshal, "have the Skgorrians betrayed us?"
"No, sir, not that, but the High Chancellor has recognised the SR!"
"Fuck!"
"Well said, sir," smiled Briand, "shall we withdraw?"
"Yes, I suppose we must..."

Along the Advance, 10:45

Slowly, as only an invading army can, the armoured vehicles and infantry began to turn round. Special Commandos remained behind, as usual - and within an hour, all the elements of First Army Group had begun withdrawing towards the Social Republic...

GHQ, 12:34

"BY GRUD," bellowed the Field-Marshal, "this is INSANE! First we invade - then we withdraw - and now we have to invade AGAIN!?"
"Yes, sir," squirmed Briand, "we need to pull the High Chancellor's arse out of the fire though."
"Indeed we do. No mercy. Case Black."
"Case Black it is, sir."

Half-way to the Social Republic

"Fucking HELL," roared the sergeant, "alright, you sluggards, back into British Londinium - change of orders, change of plan, we're to save the High Chancellor's lot from the socialist mobs."

By 2pm, the Army Group had sorted itself out, and begun advancing again. By 6pm, they'd passed the Thames and forward elements of Center Army were withing striking distance of Westminster...

Meanwhile, under water, the fifteen submarines started launching torpedos to destroy the enemy submarines, while they themselves danced away from enemy attack. Right now, it wasn't about capturing the Dual Monarchs. It was about blowing the Royalists apart, completly and utterly.
[OOC: A few comments...

1) How did you find the submarines? By the time you could get to the last position the subs transmitted (this is assuming you could even detect the weak VLF signal - escorts as a general rule cannot even detect VLF because they are not equipped with VLF receivers and the signal was weak because it only needed to broadcast a few hundred metres) they would be several dozen nautical miles from where they were, in absolutely any direction. Finding them with one sub, after a few hours of looking and the others scattered everywhere might be reasonable, but not all of them converging on one point when they have no way of knowing where in the possible radius from the last transmission the subs could be.

2) You should give your opponent a chance to respond to your actions - our submarines would fire as well, and if you're looking for them you're likely to be pinging on active sonar (if you dont then you're more stealthy but will find it difficult to detect the subs) and if so we would detect you first. Subs have to manoeuver into good firing positions, and if you're detected this will give us time to take evasive action.]

To find your submarines I went to the coordinates from your radio announcment. I was responding to what British Londinium said. Did I say I destroyed your submarines? No, I said I launched my torpedos at them. The battle is over, and you likely didn't lose a submarine.

The attache looked to his civilian counterpart.

"What is it?"

Looking back at his gleaming uniform, the minister felt a pang of angst for his old days.

"he wants to become involved in the... London situation..."

The attache screwed up his face, cursing his leaders humanitarian streak.

"is this wise?" The officer subconciously placed his hand on his sidearm for reassurance.

"Im unsure, this is the Battistani way, for too long we have been quiet on international affairs. They've used nuclear weapons for Judes sake, you're to draw up the rules of engagement"

"but on who's side are we?" The officer shifted again on his feet.

"Peace." Replied the minster

"Let no warmongers stand before us"

"For the glory of honour" monotoned the officer before stamp saluting smartly and marching out.

The Minister turned and looked out the window, contemplating his leaders actions.

The first shell hit the High Chancellor's office, wounding him.
"Call a fucking ambulance!" cried the Chancellor.
"There aren't any! You turned them into military vehicles, you whore!" shouted a secretary.
"Hey! I'm the fucking High..." said Yañez as he passed out.

The Interim Guards were forced back by the onslaught of civilian rioters, who had found a small weapons cache. Joining them were thousands and thousands of loyal Royal Army soldiers. With tanks.
"This is General Franks. Surrender to the Emperor and Empress at once! Surrender!"
"Never!" replied an Interim General.

The Challenger II tanks roared through the city, shelling the Interim Guards. RAF planes soared over head, strafing them with missiles.

The fifteen thousand Interim Guards, after two hours of combat, were left with a mere 700 hundred.

"Now hear this, now hear this. All Interim-ists are hereby ordered to surrender. I repeat, all Interim-ists are to surrender at once. Lay down your arms. Place your hands on your head. Walk slowly towards our front line."

All the enemy soldiers obliged.

The Royal Army marched towards the Government offices. With the few Interim-ists that failed to surrender dead, resistance was minimal.

General Franks marched into the offices of the Interim Government with his security detail.
"In the name of His and Her Britannic Majesties, Emperor James and Empress Hemali, I hereby declare the reign of the High Chancellor over!" cried the General.

There was cheering from all the cabinet members.

The noise of the cheering woke the High Chancellor.

"No! Never! I won't let you win!" he shouted. Yañez walked over to his desk in his office, and pulled out a hidden AK47.
"Die, you traitors!" said the Chancellor as he opened fire.

He took out three Royal Army soldiers before he was machine-gunned to death.

The Royal Army ransacked his office, finding curious documents related to the planned release of a highly lethal pathogen into the water supply of British Londinium.

The Britannic Empire of British Londinium is hereby restored. We hereby assume the full responsibilities of heads of government, heads of state, and the commanders-in-chief of the armed forces. "And what of the Emperor and Empress?" asked an Army General, "that was the damn reason we came here in the first place!"
"Look," stated Beckenbauer, "we thought that this Chancellor guy was the legitmate leader right, how were we supposed to know the intricacies of Londinium politics? All we have done here is wipe out rebels, that's what we came here to do."

"We will support their territorial claim," confirmed Beckenbauer, "these people have a right to be governed as they see fit. In the meantime, we pledge our support to the Emperor and Empress. Dismissed."

A series of IL-76s began landing troops and equipment, another division was landing.
"What do you think, more Army?" enquired an Air Guards sentry to his duty partner as he leaned against a hangar, observing a transport unloading men and provisions.
"Probably," he yawned, "What do I care?" The man had copied his counterpart's slouch, and both had slung their AK-74s over their shoulders. "Hey look here comes one of them now," he pointed out one soldier smartly striding towards them.
"You there,' the newcomer demanded with authority, "we need some help with our kit. Come now." The 2 Air Guards troops were ruffled at the arrogance of this man.
"Seperate chains of command mean anything to you?" snarled the first Air Guards soldier. "Now nark off, like."
The newcomer said nothing, but instead pointed to his cap badge, a grinning skull and crossbones. Both Air Guards men leapt upright and snapped off a salute.
"Much better," the newcomer said, "now follow me." He marched off with the two Air Guards troops following close behind.
Such a lack of discipline here, Special Action Division will soon put that right...

As the APAVs rolled forwards through the suburbs, their turrets tracking as they watched their designated zones, dismounted armoured infantry trooped alongside. Special Commandos infiltrated towards the city centre, avoiding and reporting on enemy troop strengths.

It seemed to Lieutenant Cullen that the enemy consisted mostly of militias backed by the remnants of the Londinium army - no real challenge for the Atopian Army's Soldier 2110 package. He was watching the houses to his left while his HUD displayed his rifle's zoomed in sightscreen. His ammo counter showed 50 DU - he didn't take chances, but if he came across some militia it was the work of seconds to swap to frangible rounds to smear his unarmoured opponents across the street...

The commander of the Royal Army in Westminster saw the oncoming advance of the Atopian forces. He grabbed his radio and signalled to all forces to assume defensive positions immediately. "Don't let them take an inch," he said.

RAF planes were scrambled and started to bomb the Atopian APAVs.

IC:

As the first jets roared overhead, the Atopian troopers dived for cover. Several immediately broke out their SAMs, but it was already too late - the jets had dropped their bombs. The cluster bombs and other munitions exploded among the advancing columns, knocking out several APAVs, immobilising more, and killing almost a hundred Atopians.

"At last," breathed Cullen, "resistance!"

Triple-A units opened fire on the retreating bombers, the sky filling with streams of radar-guided 30mm cannon fire and the contrail tails of smoke marking the reaching fingers of intelligent rockets.

Several Atopian troopers stood up, their armour dented and battered, but intact and alive. The advance picked up the pace, with the APAVs gunning forwards, troopers sitting on the outside and running alongside. Atopian artillery units, firing rocket-assisted shells from inside the Social Republic, began to make their presence felt with suppressing bombardments on enemy troop concentrations marked by Special Commandos.

Outside the city, Army Group Central enveloped Westminster and linked up with East and West 10 miles north of Westminster.

The city was now besieged...

Inside, there were two divisions bravely fighting for their country.
Outside, there were four divisions preparing to attack the siege.

RAF planes once again took off, dropping fuel air bombs on the Atopian forces, and fighters began to strafe enemy forces within the city.

Royal Navy destroyers began to shell the invaders, and submarines launched cruise missiles at the artillery units.

Inside Westminster, snipers began taking their positions and picked off Atopian infantrymen, and other soldiers placed explosives at bottlenecks, detonating them as Atopian forces went through them.

"Storm-General, you'll want to see this!" called the adjutant, handing the General the transcript of the communications recieved from Nova Brittanica. After scanning it briefly, the General crumpled up the paper and let it drop.
"I hate diplomacy," Storm-General Beckenbauer growled. "I didn't join up for that."
"The Social Republic has yet to formulate a response," the adjutant mentioned. "They have begun to mobilise their military."
"Pah, we are their military," Beckenbauer spat. "I'll send a reply."

Fuel air bombs and MOABs were dropped on the naval ports, destroying the entire British Fijian navy, save five cruisers.

In the cities, the bombers carpet bombed the suburbs and parts of downtown, killing almost half a million people.

As the RAF planes flew off, the following message was radioed.

By order of the Emperor and Empress of British Londinium, the Cæsar and his wife are to surrender themselves at once, and present themselves before the D'Oyly Court.

Ten SIS agents, posing as defectors, swam to the shore of British Fiji. Their covers were perfect, and the British Fijians just gullible enough to let them in. A reign of terror would seize British Fiji.

The SIS agents conducted a midnight raid on the arms caches of British Fiji. They stole machine guns, pistols, and C4 plastique.

The next day, an explosion occured in an apartment building in the capital, killing 65 and wounding a hundred more.

As rescue crews arrived, sniper fire erupted from undiscernable locations; the bullets picked off policemen and firemen one by one. The scene became one of panic. The military was called in, and they found the snipers, and killed the three of them with a tank shell. In the process of this, a further one hundred civilians died.

The Cæsar declared martial law, and after ten hours of search, found the SIS agents, and had them executed.

Even as the first plan for invasion was being drafted, five hundred "missionaries" from the Colony of Nova Celtanica flew into British Fiji. Most were on the same planes, but five were on a plane on their own, which was going to British Fiji's capital's airport. As the plane was flying over the capital, the the terrorists seized the plane, and flew it into the Parliamentary building. The other terrorists were preparing and finding their targets.

Meanwhile, in Nova Brittanica, digital terrorists were hacking into the National Treasury, banks, corporate accounts, the Emperor and Empress's accounts, along with other major accounts.

As soon as the terrorist attack hit the Parliamentary Building the naval and ariel blockades were placed around British Fiji. No further phases would take place until the British Fijians gave a response, surrendering, or dooming their nation.

Three hours after this announcement was made, three hundred military police personnel stormed the palace, and arrested the Crown Prince and his wife on the charges of treason, sedition, and subversion.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess nodded their heads.

"Good. Then let us begin the trial at hand," stated the magistrate.

The barrister for the prosecution stood and delivered his case, detailing how the Crown Prince and Princess defied the direct orders of the Crowns, how the Crown Prince and Princess styled themselves as sovereigns, how the Crown Prince revered to himself as a "revered emperor," how the Crown Prince and Princess ordered the execution of ten Secret Intelligence Service agents, how the Crown Prince and Princess levyed a military to oppose the Armed Forces of the Crowns of British Londinium.

The barrister for the defence stood and delivered his case, stating that the acts described by the prosecution were out of loyalty to the state.

"The court thanks the prosecution and the defence. We will adjourn so that this panel of magristrates may deliberate the merits of the case."

Storm-General Beckenbauer had been watching the events in British Fiji with quite some interest from his HQ.
"Analysis, Gorobets?" asked Beckenbauer of his intelligence adjutant, a current CFSS (Comitee For Skgorrian Security) agent.
"Well sir," began the smartly suited Gorobets, "it looks to me like the Fijians tried to take advantage of the current turmoil in British Londinium and make a grab for independence. It would have worked, had it not been for the Nova Brittanicans."
Beckenbauer was confused, "but the trial verdict was that Winston and his wife were not guilty."

A hundred Nova Brittanican soldiers have just joined the Praetorian Guard, a clear indication of the strength of their alliance.

The Dual Monarchs has ordered a General Conscription of men aged 18-65 and issued a Code Red situation. I believe this is not a hostile act to the Social Republic, but rather an additional measure to counter the Atopians.

Taking all this into account, the General sighed and began checking the other reports he had on his desk. Special Action Division were performing impeccably, with over 40 Detention Camps set up and running at full capacity, SAU 209 had already cracked down on an embryonic socialist movement, and a wing of the new Su-47s were on the way. Beckenbauer then turned to the defense analysis of the Social Republic and began to analyse it. Apart from Army Group British Londinium and the newly-arrived Special Action Division, the Social Republic had no credible organised military apart from a few loyalist militias.

The campaign against the Chancellor's supporters is in full swing. Six thousand people have been arrested, and two thousand, three hundred and six people have been executed.

Belatedly, after much cursing on the behalf of the groundpounders, the Atopian Air Force arrived in force. Whilst the shelling of the Atopian artillery units had reduced most of the city to a semi-ruined state, the TuA-100 strategic bombers of Bomber Command would finish the job.

As the wounded units of 7th Infantry retired from the city centre, the 2,000 bombers began their carpet bombing. Hundreds of thousands of tons of napalm, cluster bombs, mines, dumb bombs and smart bombs rained upon the city as the Su-47s cleared the air of enemy craft.

Out to sea, 9th Strategic Air Regiment ripple-fired over a thousand Raduga Kh-55 anti-ship cruise missiles at the naval assets of both British Londinium and Nova Brittanica.

Back on the front line, 60 divisions of Army Group Centre prepared to meet the six divisions of the Londinian military - by advancing en masse. Main battle tanks, supported by the infantry in their fearsome APAVs, ground forwards under cover of massive creeping barrages produced by mile after mile of field artillery, including the Godhammers (firing conventional shells - for the moment...).

To their flanks, Army Groups East and West rolled forwards in full strength - 81 divisions apiece. What resistance there was would be crushed, and crushed utterly!

Close air support in the form of drone gunships and VTOL ground attack craft shot over the heads of the advancing ground units, through the storm of steel that was the creeping barrage, and engaged enemy units with extreme prejudice. The drones exchanged information with their piloted big brothers, and both were zeroed in on their targets by advanced COMCON suites and targeting systems.

An encrypted, encoded, binary chatter sprang up between air and ground units, showing the infantry their nearest threats and their objectives. Artillery units, firing on the move from their gyro-stabilised weapons platforms, kept up with the advance. Laser-guided shells homed in with unerring accuracy on targets lit up by Special Commando teams.

Bunker-buster munitions blasted lances of fire into hardened shelters and infantry strongpoints while drone mounted anti-tank cannon tore into enemy armoured vehicles. Gas shells, mixed into the barrage, produced wafting clouds of toxins. Over the advance flew Su-47 interceptors and drone SAM nodes. Rocket batteries and upgraded Tunguska-Ms rolled forwards with all three Army Groups, providing superb anti-air defence networks.

From GHQ, deep within the Social Republic, the order went out:

Destroy the enemy's nuclear capability!

And it was acted on. Thanks to intelligence gained from high-ranking defectors to the Social Republic, and from the INTELSAT network in orbit high above the earth - not to mention, of course, the deep-insertion long-range reconnaissance work of the Special Commandos - a lightning strike was launched on all of British Londinium's ballistic missile silos and mobile launchers using drone-launched air-to-surface cruise missiles - many with 650KT nuclear warheads.

Again at sea, as the Radugas streaked towards their targets, ASW drones criss-crossed the waters, dropping bouys and pinging for submarines. Hunter-killer drone torpedoes, dropped from overflying Tu/A-110Ns, powered forth underwater, their seek/destroy monotask intelligences co-ordinating with the ASW infonet to locate and sink the enemy's submarines.

Back in Westminster, the Strategic Air Armada of Bomber Command continued its work as the soldiers of the 21 besieging divisions looked on...

OOC: I don't have a navy. The 'submarines' are super-cavitating nuclear powered drone torpedoes - big mothers, about the size of a Tomahawk cruise. Anyway.

IC: As the SSBMs lifted from the water, drones began to engage them - several exploded within moments, shattered by concentrated fire from cannons or brought down by missile-killer rockets.

Some, however, got through, causing significant casualties amongst Army Group East's 2nd Army, reducing it to just two divisions. The advance, however, rolled on, seemingly unstoppable.

As soon as the drone-co-ordinated SAM net picked up the RAF aircraft, the sky filled with dead lead and SAMs. Rocket trails belched forth from dismounted infantry, from dedicated anti-aircraft mobile launch vehicles, and from several APAVs. Anti-aircraft artillery units boxed the sky with radar-controlled cannon fire, while Su-47 interceptors rolled out of their overwatch formations and screamed down onto the oncoming enemy bombers, rockets flaring out from under their wings as fast as they aquired targets. Drone-craft pulled seemingly impossible turns as they weaved towards their targets, chainguns belching.

The sky was Atopian, purely by numbers. Each Army Group was covered by over four hundred manned fighters and supported by three times that in drone ships...

In the city centre, Divisions II and XI were wiped out completely, and Division XII was left with a mere 10,000 men, who opened fire on the Atopian advance.

Skirmishing piquets traded small arms fire with survivors in the shattered outskirts of Westminster as divisional artillery units pounded larger concentrations of the enemy. Phosgene and chlorine gas shells burst throughout the city, posing no problems for the sealed suits of the Atopian troopers.

The Godhammer cannons began to rain shells down on the enemy.

IC: As fast as the Godhammer shells fell, ballistic trajectory plots were fed to Atopian artillery units. Within five minutes of the first barrage, rocket-assisted artillery batteries were responding with counter-battery fire. Atopiana's own Godhammers, the 1st Strategic Artillery Brigade, returned fire alongside the rocket-assist shells - this time, with their nuclear option, the 'Red Pill'. The enemy's Godhammers would be reduced to ash on the wind...

1. We the undersigned, acting by authority of the British Londinian High Command, hereby surrender unconditionally to the Fascist Union of Atopiana all forces on land, at sea, and in the air who are at this date under British Londinian control.
2. The British Londinian High Command will at once issue order to all British Londinian military, naval and air authorities and to all forces under British Londinian control to cease active operations forthwith, to remain in all positions occupied at that time and to disarm completely, handing over their weapons and equipment to the local allied commanders or officers designated by Representatives of the Atopian Supreme Commands. No ship, vessel, or aircraft is to be scuttled, or any damage done to their hull, machinery or equipment, and also to machines of all kinds, armament, apparatus, and all the technical means of prosecution of war in general.

"The Monarchs give up?" Tranter was clearly astonished, "but that means..."

"It means you will become the new leader of British Londinium," stated Beckenbauer, "the Monarchs will probably be retained as a figurehead, but you will hold power."

Tranter had to sit down, the shock of this was too much for him.

"We don't have time for this, you sluggard!" Beckenbauer yelled, "start getting your militias mobilised and your supporter ready to march - you're going to Westminster leading a column of your troops and some Skgorrian units."

Tranter began making phone calls, and soon Social Republic militias began mobilising under the supervision of Special Action Division and 5th SS Panzer.

The Skgorrian troops were met with a sombre, sombre group of people; downtrodden by the surrender, but knowing full well that it was the only option left if British Londinium was to survive.

The scene was repeated everywhere that the Skgorrian-lead column went. In the lead was Tranter, Beckenbauer and a guard of SS troops, then following behind was the rest of the 5th SS Panzer division and 30,000 loyalist militia with elements of Special Action Division interspersed throughout. All of the column was motorised and was moving at a fast pace, but the column's men and women were still able to see the thousands of dejected soldiers and civillians that lined the road and watched with expressions of fear and loss. None of them knew the fate of their country...

Westminster:

As the first of the Representative Units drawn from throughout Army Group Centre began their march past through the newly-cleared Parade Route, Field Marshal Anders took the salute with a glint in his eye and pride swelling his chest.

His men and women had reduced this city to rubble.
His women and men had conquered this nation - and now the reckoning would begin. The Treaty of Westminster, signed earlier that day, had come into effect at midday. Tranter, next to him, smiled, weakly...

Tranter's column had now arrived in Westminster and was working its way through the city towards the Palace, even though Tranter had gone with the Atopians. The city was utterly ruined after the brief but brutal siege that had transpired here, and whilst Atopians were working hard to remove the bodies, the smell of death was everywhere. As the column moved past the temporary housing of the Parliament, Beckenbauer called a halt and proceeded to urinate against the side of the building, much to the confusement of the column. After finishing, he turned around and raised a clenched fist and yelled,
"the rule of the weak is ended!" The SS men cheered, and the militias followed suit.

Meanwhile, in the Presidential Palace in Nova Londinium, everyone was scrammbling. The air force and navy had left the Battle of Westminster before the real fighting began. They had been used for the naval and ariel blockade of British Fiji. Then they had been brought back to Nova Brittanica. A few of the generals had drawn up plans for the liberation of British Londinium:

1. Assassination (Tranter, Generals, etc.)
2. Terrorist Attacks (Kamikaze, Car Bombs, Sniping, etc (Atopian Bases))
3. Kidnapping (Soldiers, Pro-Atopian Citizens, etc.)

One thousand terrorist operatives had been smuggled across the Nova Brittonian Fiji border, and been given false ID by the Royalists. From the Crown Colony of British Fiji, they had been flown across to British Londinium.

With their Monarchs having abandoned them, the morale of the population was at an all-time low. Storm-General Beckenbauer and his Skgorrian troops began handling the dismantling of the Royal Armed Forces. Having easy access to roster records thanks to former Royals in the Social Republic and a large ammount of torture, the Skgorrians were able to find out who had gone AWOL. All Royal Armed Forces units were ordered to stay in their barracks until Skgorrian units had made contact.

The proceedure for each unit was methodical and identical: first, the rosters were checked to make sure that all members were present.

Secondly, their uniforms were taken from them and all military equipment was confiscated and removed to secure holding areas. All naval craft were scuttled or destroyed, whilst aircraft were flown back to Skgorria.

Thirdly, the bases themselves were destroyed with explosive or bulldozers. Any regimental or unit museums were burnt to the ground, any books mentioning the Armed Forces were burnt. Recruitment offices were demolished or converted to house Party Offices, and all officers of Divisional Commander rank or above were imprisoned.

After hearing the announcement, riots broke out all over the nation, with civilians assaulting the occupiers, demanding that the Monarchs be reinistated.

Any attempt to invade, interfere with, or otherwise jeopardise the safety of the Treaty of Westminster, will be met with a nuclear response from the Atopian Strategic Rocket Forces.

This will be followed by a conventional invasion.

You will be given no more chances and no more warnings. Lonidinium is now an Iron Bloc member - any attempt to alter this state of affairs will NOT be dealt with lightly.

The Royal Family resigned themselves to their fate, and set sail for their home.

Upon their arrival, a regiment of New Party Military Police arrested them and placed them in temporary house arrest in Westminister Castle.

The civillians had chosen the wrong army to riot against. Bolstered by Special Action Division, the Skgorrians had qualms about using deadly force. Any person that showed any sign of resistance or disobedience were shot by weapons ranging from 9mm pistols to 130mm MBT guns. Special Action Division began rounding up any survivors or suspected dissidents and gassing them in mobile extermination units fixed in the back of Ural trucks. Special Action Unit 209 began to hunt down ringleaders and eliminate them in a variety of nasty ways. Storm-General Beckenbauer had this to say to the populace:

Riots continue to swell in British Londinium, even after Skgorrian troops executed and arrested hundreds of protestors last night.

Improvised weaponry, such as Molotov cocktails, have been produced in the thousands, and utilised against Skgorrian and Atopian occupiers.

This morning, a former SIS agent bombed government offices, killing 56 New Party officials and wounding 189 more.

Royal Starfleet vessels, even the shipdocks in orbit, are refusing to submit to the new government, relocating all facilities and starships to a base on the moon, where they believe themselves safe from retribution.

More news will be presented as it comes in.

Silently, with a puff of gas and compressed air, the kill-sats blossomed like flowers. Petals of metal opened, and, as if in a dream, their lethal pollen sprang forth.

Lancing out of the satellites came missiles - ten to a satellite, each with mutiple warheads. The missiles burnt hard, accelerating at 20G, their on-board computers making instant course corrections to keep them unerringly on target.

At a range of just one kilometre, the missiles punched out their warheads. Some - the station-killers, targeted on the Londinian dockyards - fired four seperate warheads each. The 60 warheads contained an even mix - 15 dumb, solid, lumps of metal, travelling at several hundred thousand km per minute, designed to smash huge holes through their targets. 15 more were nuclear weapons, to detonate just metres from the hulls of the enemy, frying electrics and buckling and warping spacecraft skins. Yet more were conventional explosive-penentrators, to smash deep into the enemy and blow them apart from within. The last 15 contained clouds of hundreds of golf-ball sized DU-penentrators, again travelling at a several hundred thousand km/min, to shatter whatever was left of the enemy dockyards...

Further out, chasing the Londinian spacecraft, the missiles - burning harder now, at .45 of the speed of light - were relying on kinetic kills to do the job. A scattering of nuclear warheads would, hopefully, lower the shields of the enemy - failing that, relativity should be enough to do the job.

If it wasn't enough, the six vessels of the Atopian Space Fleet had turned hard, burning at 5G on an interception course, missile pods and kinetic kill systems running weapons-hot...

The Moon:

As the battle raged overhead, fifteen tracked armoured vehicles set out from Dark Side Barracks to join the tracked vehicles of Unity Base. Londina's Moonbase would fall to the Space Force Marines, with or without naval support...

Throughout the country about a quarter the soldiers of the soldiers given to the command of the rulers of British Londinium began to operate under special case orders where they offered protection to all civilians in places where they claimed the right to rule by the terms of the Grand Imperial Alliance and flew the Scandinvan flag so as to make their areas neutral ground. As well, they only offered medical assistance to civilians and would evacuate any foreign citizens to their home nations and also would evacuate any civilian after a detailed background check, but turned over any people who carried secret plans or weapons over to the occupying forces of the country.

As well, they did not tolerate any of their soldiers helping the rebels and shipped off any of those soldiers to the Empire where they would be disciplined and redeployed elsewhere. Further, they for the time also did not tolerate any of the occupying forces to search their camps as they were acting as a neutral force supplying medical aide to the locals.

Within three hours of the order to fire being recieved and verified by the Primo, ASRF Command had launched 20,000 SS-27 intercontinental nuclear ballistic missiles at Nova Britannica and a further 10,000 at Nova Celtanica. Each carried five 650KT warheads, and each warhead was independantly targetable.

With information gathered from INTELSAT overflights, and co-ordination from Fasces One, ASRF Command could be assured of 98.82% accuracy and a mean deviation from target of just 200m with each warhead.

Targets were primarily centres of civilian population, with ten warheads being tasked to hit each military installation in both countries, no matter how small...

The Atopian Space Marines patrolled the wreckage the HHMS Advenire. They found the captain, injured and unconscious in the bridge, as well as a helmsman, who was still awake.

The helmsman screamed at the sight of the marines, and pulled out a rifle and opened fire at them.

"This really is too much. We're not being hard enough on these scum, General. Tranter's in hospital - send those Ubersoldaten the Skgorrians lent us to guard him. No-one gets in or out of that hospital unless they're a Skgorrian SS medic, understand?"

Within two days, a hundred thousand Londinians had been shot by Special Action Unit and New Party personnel in an attempt to underline the seriousness with which the situation was being taken by GHQ FoO.

By the end of the week, Army Group North had destroyed six villages, fifty-two arms caches, and razed a small town - not to mention the death toll from their remorseless approach. Free-fire zones were declared across the country and a shoot-on-sight curfew announced by the beginning of the next week. All those found outside their dwellings between 8pm and 8am who weren't New Party militia or Occupation forces would be shot.

HMMS Advenire:

The burst went mostly wild, two rounds ricocheting off the first Marines' armour. A third punctured the wall of the Bridge...

"Subdue him!"

As one, the Atopians, used to operating in zero-G, sprang forwards in their EVA armour, compressed air jets firing. Their smooth approach ended in a flurry of blows and a struggle as they wrestled with the Helmsman, ziplock cuffs out, ready for use.

In the corner, two more Marines finished securing the Captain before drawing their needle pistols and covering the melee.

BBC World Service broadcast, 29 November

A dirty bomb was detonated today in downtown Westminister, killing thousands. It is believed that the bomb went off near the hospital in which the President was staying at, but these reports remain unconfirmed.

The Emperor and Empress were successfully evacuated to Prahu, and asked the people of British Londinium to put an end to the violence so that lives would not be lost.

However, it seems that the people are becoming more violent than ever. A mob of 300 people with AK47s assaulted a platoon of Ubersoldaten. More news as it comes in.

The Royal Starfleet armada reached the asteroid belt, a month later. The crew were dejected, and felt rather hopeless.

The Admiral of the Fleet had an idea.

"This is a general announcement to all Royal Engineers on these vessels. Begin asteroid mining. Begin asteroid mining."

Transmission to the Atopian High Command

Now hear this, now hear this. This Admiral of the Royal Starfleet Cato Daiquiri. We have a deal to make. I repeat, we have a deal to make.

"For the love of... Right, that's it. This is a state of emergency. Bring all units to a war footing. I want everyone who's not a New Party member dead. Fuck the Londinians. Fuck them. We tried to warn them, we've been rebuilding their capital as a favour to them. They don't like it? They'll have even bigger problems now. Understand?"

New Party Militia Battalion 283:

"Right, lads, this is the day we've been waiting for. We've got a licence to crack skull, and we've got the kit to do it courtesy of our chums in the Liberation Force. So - we go out there, find everyone who isn't a New Party member, and kill them. Understood?"
"Yes, sir!" came the chorused reply.

The scene was repeated all across Londinia, and by the end of the day Atopian and New Party units were rooting out and exterminating all those who weren't New Party members or who refused to join.

Special Action Units, meanwhile, conducted a secret purge of the New Party's ranks, ensuring complete loyalty to Tranter (who had survived the blast, having been moved just hours beforehand to an Atopian military hospital at a secret location in Atopiana) and the New Party...

Given the irradiated state of Westminster, the only Skgorian troops in the area were the 2 companies of Ubersoldaten and a batallion of SS infantry. Tranter was being kept inside the irradiated area but in an NBC-proof shelter. The Skgorrians had destroyed all buildings within 300 metres and removed the debris, creating an open killing ground. Markers and vocal announcements indicated that anyone who entered the zone would be shot.

A platoon of Ubersoldaten had been on patrol just outside the cordon when the large mob attacked them. They came screaming, darting in and out of cover and firing from buildings. However the 7.62 rounds fired from the AKs were completely useless against the Chobham armour worn by the Ubersoldaten, the same could not be said of the round fired from the Bushmasters against the mob. The Ubersoldaten spread out and opened fire, eventually driving the mob off after hopefully causing heavy losses. The only damage caused was that a few of the Ubersoldaten's weapons had been disabled.

General Overview:

The DCRC was originally designed for the destruction of any asteroids or space debris that could have fallen to Earth during the periods of 2024 AD and 2067AD when a large meteor shower was predicted to strike Earth, this of course was proven false.

In later years, war sparked. The people of Dephire needed to find a weapon that would bring people to their knees. They needed something brutal, yet sophisticated enough to be nearly unbeatable. What they found were the capabilities of these cannons.

Some people have speculated that these cannons can shoot a fly from fourteen thousand miles away, along with anything else in five miles. This of course is not entirely true.

Armour Specifications;

These cannons were not only to be built to destroy, but built to withstand alot of brutal attacks.

Twenty inches of carbon armour incase each gun. After the carbon is a shell of solid titanium. Four inches further goes straight to another layer of solid carbon.

This gives it a semi-light design for higher manuverability in scenarios when things get hairy.

Firing Specifications/Statistics;

The DCAAMRC takes thirty seconds to lock onto a target, remarkable for it's size. It can also fire at an rate of five shells per minute. Slow, but given the shell's capabilities, it is effective none-the-less.

Safety Precautions;

Don't stand within a hundred feet without proper saftey gear on. (Trust us. You don't want to be deaf, do you?)

Shells;

Explodes-On-Impact Shell-
This is mostly used in Ground to Ground and Ground to Sea barrages. Damage ranges from fragmentation to vaporization. There is a Two mile fragmentation range, and a five hundred feet vaporization range.

Anti-Ship Shell-
This shell is basically the same as an Anti-Tank shell, in otherwords, it's soul purpose is to destroy Naval Ships.

Explodes-In-Air Shell-
Also known as an Anti-Air shell or a Flak shell. When the fuse detonates the charge, it sends a sonic boom powerful enough to rip apart any aircraft within a two hundred feet range of the blast. Any aircraft within two thousand feet outside that range is severly damaged.

No, my nation isn't a super-duper bunker-city. What there is, is room for 800 million (out of 1.133 billion and counting) people to survive in underground shelters for an indefinite period of time following a nuclear attack on Atopiana.

So, this means all of our nations save a lot of men, Atopia saves his nukes and capital, and Skgorria and Atopia still have land in British Londinium.

It was wracking the man's nerves...such upstarts, both smaller than the war-driven Dominion which had faced its baptism by fire and come out successful. Time to teach such nations a lesson, which he planned to outline at this meeting of the War Department he had called.

"The Skgorrians and Atopianans have been causing a nuisance as of recent," he started, "I believe it is time to show them a little muscle of our own. We shall begin plans to liberate British Londinium immediately, and cast off these Atopianan and Skgorrian vermin to the holes they rose from. Disgusting people."

Wide-spread firebombing of targeted, along with preemptive strikes into the Atopianan and Skgorrian homelands to divert attention. Though the Skgorrians and Atopianans have many troops overseas, we are sure they will divert more to the homelands after we invade...and if they don't, we will launch invasions to ensure they do, unless they no longer value their homelands."
