The impact of the burst of fire threw the Major backwards, against the side of his BMP-3. The BMP commander instantly dropped into the turret, locking the hatch behind him.

"Back," he yelled, "back, out of here! They're hostile!"

Outside the camp, the Atopian infantry hit the dirt as they saw the BMP reverse out of the gate, turret chaingun firing. Grenades exploded amongst the troopers nearest the gate, killing several and wounding more.

As the Reich's troopers followed, the Atopians began firing. Their armoured vehicles opened up with their 76mm cannon, rockets, 30mm chainguns, and heavy machine guns. On the other side of the camp, the Battalion's integral tank unit smashed through the fence and into the main compound...
