The Infinte Realities: IC thread, - Page 2
Whether or not the subject should have been a sensititive one, Loki never knew how to react when someone brought up family.
"My parents died when I was too young to remember," he finally said after a long silent moment. "Or so they tell me."
"Well, who raised you?" she asked.

"You have the talent for warmagick. I saw it, a great big ole chunk of ice put her out while smashing her skull in.
Now, I'll set the camp up, you go get some wood. I spotted a whole bushel of dry wood back there before the woman jumped us. Then, I'll teach you how to use your power effectivly." Pyra said.
Saacon was now quite sure he was insane. That was the answer, he decided as he went to get the wood. He had obviousely gone off the deep end and was now trapped in his own twisted mind. Though, why he would imagine this was anybody's guess. There wasn't any sports on T.V. or any T.V. at all, for that matter. He returned with the wood and put it down next to Pyra.

The pipe pulled at him like a tractor beem towing a starship. It went through the city, until it deposited them near the great piller.
"H4Xor go see about a vehicle." Jack Said.
H4xor left.
Then, he stepped out.
He was made of metal, carried Four swords made of energy, and had two cannons on his shoulders.
"Well, well, well. If i isn't the Offline rebels. Its been what, three days now since I destroyed your base?" the man asked.
"Grevious, leave us alone. Our affairs are none of your business." Jack said.
"Oh, but it is. As head of the Military Police, chasing down rouge soldiers is my business. Your wanted for a few Questions. Ah, who's this. Private NOOB?" Grevious asked indicating Zachius with a sneer.
OOC: Things are about to get, Intresting...
ooc: holy makarle. you don't say? ... oy. and Zachius with only blank cards.
IC: "my name, sir, is Zachius. don't ask for more, as there isn't any. a free lance trouble shooter and causer. depending on which is nessisary in the situation, of course. and the two arn't exactly mutually exclusive." he paused for a moment, looking at Grevious with interest "i'm curious as to why you're carrying six weapons though. unless they have very different and speciallized functions, i have no clue how you could need them all, let alone USE them all. and lets face it, at the end of the day, a blade's a blade. mabey energy gets though things metal can't and vice versa, so haveing on of each would hardly be bad, but 4 energy blades? what's the point?"
as he was babbling, as he was wont to do, Zachius was also adjusting a thing or three. slight motions of the right sort shifted the contents of one of his smaller inner pockets into the inside of his left sleeve, swung his satchel more behind him than to the side, shifted his stance so he could bring his gun up and fire in one motion if nessisary, and readied him for the ducking spin or twist that would bring his halbard out as needed. each movement was subtle, almost imperceptable, but by the end of it, if an opponant weren't distracted sufficiantly one way or antoher by his babble, he would have shifted from a rather scrawny looking tall guy with an interesting taste in clothing, to a rather menaceing looking foe, ready to take almost anything that came his way. which isn't to say he wasn't interested int he awnsers to his questions. he truley did wish to know.
"now, as i'm no soldier, though i may be a rouge of several different sorts, i think i am no buisiness of yours, humm? so, perhaps you could delay your current activity a few days while my buisness is conducted? i'll try not to cause you any trouble."
"Well Private NOOB, perhaps you'll find out how I fight, if your lucky. Meanwhile. ALL MILITARY PERSONEL, ATTACK AND DESTROY!" Grevious said. Then he teleported away.
Meanwhile Hovercars were turned over, windows were knocked out doors were cracked and a large tank pulled around the corner.
"Zachius, go entertain the fellas to the right behind the the overturned Hovercars. I'll go inside the building and clear it out. Sorcero, occupy the tank." Jack said. He ran to the building, kicked the door in, and began shooting his way inside.
Sorcero stepped up to the tank, his hands began to glow. He cast aq spell that warped the cannon out of porportion, making it too small to shoot.
Meanwhile, the group behind the overturned hovercars lobbed a grenade at Zachius.

"roger that."
Zachius's imidiate responce was to whack his right hand down and back slightly, slamming the butt of his riffle in such a way as to pop it out of it's holster. as his left came around and grabed it, releaseing the safty and stopping it at hip height, his right found the trigger. the first shot, standard amunition, was let off almost before he'd turned to face the enemy. not stopping ot see what it had done, as such actions useually got one hurt, if not dead, hey spun the rifle in his right hand, useing his right arm to work the leaver, as he dashed towards the enemy, dodgeing and weaving on his way.
the reload motion was such that each time a bullet was in the chamber and ready, the trigger was in perfect position to be pulled again. it was fortunate that this particular gun had been modified extensively. normaly rifles would be too long, or their mechanizems too stiff, or their recoil too strong for this performance.
ducking behindt he first available cover he came to, Zachius stopped and flicked his left wrist, revealing that the object worked out of his pocket and into his sleave was a blank card. while he was doing this, his right hand worked the ejector on his rifle and then slamed it back into it's holster, out of the way. focusing, he attempted to draw the image of Grevous's teliportation into the card.
ooc: now, if this works how it's ment to, it'll cause a rather bright flow of random coloured symbols from the actual effect to him, and he has to focus on it. failure just does nothing. . . . the weakness comes when he uses the card, his defence drops almost to nil while he's summoning them, and they take a lot of concentration. cardomancy is, technicly, magic. but it doesn't always obey all the rules. "Grandpa for a few years... but for the past couple it has just been myself," Loki admitted. The few fond memories he had were of his white-bearded grandfather (who looked nothing like him).

A Guard ran out and stuck a pin into Zachius while he was busy obtaining the teleport from Grevous. The DNA data was uploaded to an offsite location and copied several times over.
At that point, Zachius managed to successfully copy Grevous's teleport.
Which was a good thing, because now Zachius could focus on the knife the guard behind him was swinging hard to plunge in his back.
OOC: And you will see the reason for the DNA data upload.

ooc: actually, to be in charicter, the pin would break zachius's concentration, he'd fail to get the card, and he'd go apeshit on the guy for sticking small, pointy objects into him. but never mind.
IC: Zachius's first reaction to realizeing there was an enemy headed towards him was to move. so he did. but not much, just tot he side and forward slightly, while once again slamming the but of his rifle. the thing could fly out of it's holster with a lot of force, if done right, and was pretty much at groin hight.
of course, one could never count on such techniques, so even as the gun should have been hitting home, his body was starting to twist to his left, [his legs would follow soon after the impact, or lack there of] and down, for the pivot that would bring out his halbard in the most powerful release strike possible from it being slung on his back.
idealy, That would come around colse in to his body untill near the end of the spin when he would slip-shift his grip and thus extend the arc to gain more power, if the foe was still far enough away, which was unlikely.
an alternative taht it set him up for equily well was to lunge and stab forward with the halbards point as he came back up from teh crouch spin that would get it off his back.
normaly, such a manouver would expose one's back, a dangerous trick, but between the movement of halbard it's self, his own constant motion and the flapping of his cloak, the distraction of the rifle and the potentual for the entire manouver to be aborted in favour of a very solid kick to the solar plexus, it was much less risky than one might think.
the down side to all this was that it left his rifle laying on the ground at the end. fortunatly, it was totaly unloaded at this point.
ooc: yeah, i just set him up to react to any one of three or more diferent responces to his opening gambit. better than clameing the rifle did it's job right off the bat, no? and what happend to all the bullets he fired off on his way over to wherever the heck he is?

Loki had long heard of the mystic healing powers that certain races of elves had, but he hadn't met one or seen their powers yet. However, he did wonder what kind of healing powers she had if she wasn't a magick user. Certainly he had seen healing spells before - not that he could perform any of them - but what else one could do beyond medical care was beyond the young mage.
"Is that the gate?" Loki wondered, knowing the blue sheet of energy must be it, or at the very least a shield for it.

The Blow missed, the Slaver grunted with Shock.
Mialee was frozen in fear. She wanted to help, but she always chocked with the fear of missing and harming an innocent, or not chosing the right spell and harming the enemy.
But, if you do not help, he will die.- a new voice inside her said.
But, what can I do? i'm just a house mage.- she asked herself.
As long as you think like that, you will never be anything more. Mistakes happen. Learn, get over it, and get better. now think, you were taught more than house magicks.- the voice responded.
Mialee thought, and arrived at the answer.
She raised her finger.
"DIE!" She screamed, and lightning shot from her finger to the Slaver. Steel conducts lightning cery well, and thus the Slaver got hit full blast. He was stunned, and fell to his knees, bringing his unprotected head level with Chris's normal standing heighth. What ever could Chris possibly do now?
Stan looked at the young woman in disbelief. How is that possible? His mind struggled to come to grips with the amazing display of magic he had just witnessed. Then, his mind returned to reality. He saw the dazed Slaver on its knees in front of Chris, looking down his sights, he fired a burst through its skull.
Loki stood for a moment by himself after the other two had disappeared into the portal. He had probably already crossed the point of no return, but there was a hesitation anyway.
"Sigh..." Adjusting his hat again, Loki took three steps forward and stuck his hand through the portal, examining it only for a second before stepping through with the rest of his body.

It felt like spring time here.
Wilhelm went up the tree and out it, only to stop cold. In front of them were two opposing armys fighting for control of the tree.
One group of elves were frost white, except for their Red clothes.
The others wore greens, and browns, and golds, and a multitude of springtime colors.
Wilhelm back around the corner slowly and silently.
"That's disturbing" he said.
"What is it, cousin?" arie asked.
The White Elves are the Sahn Ta clan from the northren reaches.
The others are the Kehbler clan from the central area.
Why their here in the territory of clan of Shioki elves is beyond me. Did the Shioki loose ground? or are they fighting for something else?" Wilhelm said.

He did a flying leap and brought his sword down on stan, hard.
Stan had known the man's action before the slaver did. His precognition came in very handy in that way. Dodging at the moment the slaver was at the top of his arc, he slid to the side and raised his gun to fire along the man's now physically unalterable path.
"What do we do?" Loki asked nervously, not wanting to get caught up in a full-scale war.
He wondered how close to their target the portal had taken them, and how 'in the way' these groups of elves were.

The man with the big sword was no ordinary slaver.
He sheilded himself with his sword. Then he shot a thunderbolt at stan. It didn't matter if stan knew it was coming or not. This one followed its target.

Loki's question was answered by the sudden onslaught of the power of Summer. Everything aged, and many things started to grow seeds and unripe fruits.
It grew quite.
"What the heck just happened?" Arie asked.
Wilhelm peeked around the corner.
"Hahaha, Summer's chasing them both out of her territory." Wilhelm said.
Then, everything went back to spring.
Wilhelm noted this fact with a look of concerned seriousness on his face.
"Spring's nearby." Wilhelm said.

cardomancy has it's weaknesses, like any other technique. in this case, the two biggest things working against it as an option were time and the need to focus. an alternative was in order. as the robot started counting down, Zachius spun another arc, used the pike hook of his halbard to flick his rifle into the air, then took a very small number of running steps. then he Vaulted up and away, twisting in mid air and catching his gun with the pike hook again. he then tucked into a ball and wraped his coat around him to reduce wind resistance and protect himself from the inevitable explosion which would, if he had judged it right, catch him in mid air, and then only with the shock wave of disrupted air, not the blast proper. ideally this would result in his flying further than the vault would normaly allow, and end with him landing in another sweaping spin of his halbard close to or on top of the guards.

now, in mid air, trying to be aerodynamic in such a way as to move where one is trying to move, at sufficiant speed to get where one is going, without hitting the ground in such a way as to break one's neck or spine, there are only so many options when someone starts fireing energy weapons at you.
sadly, the most viable one is "die" .... on the other hand, Zachius wasn't exactly prone to doing this when he had other options, reguardless of how stupid they might be.
in this case, the next most viable option was to start pulling clips from his pockets and throwing them at his enemys. awkward, when one is trying to retain a grip on a polearm with a gun hanging off the end of it. but he managed it, for all that it screwed up his aerodynamics. and wouldn't you know it, the first clips to be throwen were the mercury tiped ones.
"gunpowder + assorted chemicals + energy weaponary = boom. night night"
and with that, the first phaser beam hit the first magazine.
ooc: and now he's going to have to hit the ground in the next bit. up to you where and how. i assumed he'd get to react to the guns while still in the air, as otherwise he'd be dead before he hit the ground.

Loki was getting more confused by the minute. What were these 'seasons' anyway? Were they actual beings or just the ideas?
When they arrived at the Temple of Spring, nothing cleared up for the young mage. "Why is this the right place? What are we doing here? If this is some sort of to be the temple or shrine to Spring," he continued as he had seen all the pictures of Spring. "Why wouldn't the scouts have mentioned Spring?"

sadly, the most viable one is "die" .... on the other hand, Zachius wasn't exactly prone to doing this when he had other options, reguardless of how stupid they might be.
in this case, the next most viable option was to start pulling clips from his pockets and throwing them at his enemys. awkward, when one is trying to retain a grip on a polearm with a gun hanging off the end of it. but he managed it, for all that it screwed up his aerodynamics. and wouldn't you know it, the first clips to be throwen were the mercury tiped ones.
Boom indeed. Wreckage was scattered everywhere. He'd hit the ground with the hovercar blowing up around him. A mysterious enrgy shield protecting him.
"You okay?" Sorcero asked crouchinng next to him.
Jack was still shooting in the building.
"Jack's still inside, but we're done out here. Lets go help him out." Sorcero said.
Standing, Stan lifted his gun and fired again at the now distracted Slaver, knowing that he would block, but this time before he had the chance, Stan changed the course of the bullets with his newly acquired telekinesis. They all came at the slaver from different directions now.
"gah, this ain't over, ya know? I'm gonna be back. Next time, I'm gonna be meaner, or my name ain't Raijin, ya know." Raijin said. He limped out of town and disappeared.
Mialee examined Chris for wounds, and then afterwards walked over to stan.
"Besides a basic thunderbolt, you okay?" She asked.
"I have no idea. Clearly something is afoot. Even though she is the weakest, Spring is still no one to trifle with. Lets tread carefully." Wilhelm said.
He lead them inside.
"Two paths, one left, one right. We must ascertain which one is correct.
Loki, you and my sister go down the left, while I go down the right. We'll both only go around the first bend, then comeback and share what we saw." Wilhelm said.

"Come on... if we hurry, we can get out of here faster," he urged Arie.

The hall closed behind them.
"Oh, dear. Looks like we'll have to find another way to Wilhelm, won't we?" Arie said worriedly.

"Or we can just try your way after we look around a little," Loki added, not knowing what they were looking around at or for.

Stan looked at her, "Both."

OOC: Its his soul, his spark of magick. I can't tell you when you'll find it. That's on you.
After floundering around for what seemed like forever, Saacon tried to visualize it as something else. He tried picturing the spark as the remote in his apartment and started looking for it that way. After tearing apart his living room, his bedroom, even his bathroom, he tried the kitchen. After looking everywhere inthe cabinets, cupboards, and drawers, even the refrigerator, he still had no luck. Okay, Saacon. Let's put a little thought into this. Magick seems to defy rationality and logic, so let's make an illogical connection. My magick seems to be ice-based, where do I keep ice? He turned and opened the freezer. There, under a pizza, was the remote. I don't be-effing-lieve it. He picked up the remote and the apartment disappeared while the remote reverted to being a bright blueish-white spark.

The hall ascended, then decended, went left, then right.
Finally, after 3 or four miles of hallway, they reached two doors.
They were both made of Steel, set in the wall, but other than that, there was nothing remarkable or diffrent about either of them.

IC: As Saacon pushed, he was monitoring the area. Going from wide awake to dead tired just like that was not natural. It wasn't until his face started to itch that he realized he had long since stopped pushing and was just laying on the ground. Slowly heaving his bulk up, he looked around with blurry vision. Covering one eye made it easier to see and he thought he saw a shape that wasn't there before. Drawing steel, he shambled towards it a half dozen steps before collapsing. Saacon tried to concentrate, to create a cold field centered on his body to wake him up.

The being hissed at the approach of a field of something super cold. It was ugly enough to wake anyone up just by looking at it. it was that ugly. The only clearly defined feature, were the steel claws raking towards him.

He walked though it, Arie paused to adjust her clothes to something more suited for dungeon crawling, and the wall closed itself behind loki.
Loki found himself in the central chamber of the temple.
There were as many offerings to the power of spring and life than loki could imagine.
In the center, was a lovely young woman, who looked more like a Teenage human woman at 16 years than anything. She had flowers all tucked up in her hair, and wore a lovely pale gree dress. She had long red hair that fell to her chest. She had sparkling green eyes, and seemed to bear an echo of the promise of new life.
"Greetings young Loki. I pray the day doth find thee well." she said.

Saacon moved to block, rolling up to his feet. Falling to with his knives, he sought to overwhelm it with sheer ferocity. Launching a continous flurry of slices mixed in with punches and kicks, He moved to keep it off-balance and force it to react to him instead of acting on its own. Moving it away from the camp, he tried to close and finish with a headbutt, throat slash, and a stab at where he estimated the heart to be. At least, that was his plan.

"Ummm... yeah... I'm fine," he said. In all of his surprise, he had completely missed the fact that somehow the young lady knew his name without ever telling her it.

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill you after all then. I don't want peace. I want the turmoil and confusion to continue. For as long as they continue to fight, my three sisters that is, they cause death. Where there is death, i bring life, and i grow stronger. Soon, I will be strong enough to destroy them all, and mother Gaia. Then I will be Gaia, and I will have a beautiful eternal springtime all to myself." Spring said.
She began to transmute, and warp. She became a massive wev of life, as vines crossed the room, and flowers bloomed upon them. Creatures appeared out of nowhere. She appeared on top of it all, and picked Loki up bringing him up there. It was all coming out of her.
She started with Vine attacks, seven came at loki, each one entent on snapping his neck off.

She rolled to her feet in record time spinning around in attack position. Then she relaxed after seeing it was him.
"I see you've made progress." she said.
"We all want things we can't have. Killing others doesn't justify that," Loki said solemnly as he looked down and adjusted his hat.
Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, vines and plants began appearing and taking over the room. Vines went flying at Loki, the first of which he managed to dodge for the moment by ducking under it and holding onto his hat, but the other six were on their way.
They were flying fast and the young mage knew there was no way he would be able to out run them - there was very little he could outrun, especially without the danger of tripping and being exposed. He decided there was only one choice... Turning towards the vines, he began expelling orbs of fire at each of them.

His hands moved above his head and three sharp, ice 'spears' grew from a couple inches long to several feet in a split second. They flew, much to Loki's regret, at the incoming bear. But he had no time to be sorry, he had to act. With his hands still raised above his head he continued on to another spell.
The small jewel that hung from around his neck began glowing white hot, warming the black mage, as he chilled the room to unbearable temperatures. The temperature was dropping twenty degrees a second, but the touch of the jewel perpetuated his body heat and blood circulation.

Saacon was still apprehensive. Easing himself down, he attempted to postion himself in such a way that he was still carrying most of his weight and could leap up at a moment's notice.
The fire and the spear were too much. Spring was not as accomplished a fighter as her sisters. She Teleported away.
"Its not over yet little man. You may have won the battle, but you'll lose the war. You have the Druidess, and this makes you an enemy of the four seasons, and all our followers." Spring said as she retreated.
The life just vanished from the temple. A rock split open, and out of it came tumbling a green woman, about 5 feet tall. She wore a green clothes, had green hair and green skin, all of which, were the exact same shade of green.
"Hello..." Loki said as he breathed deeply, tired from expending his energy. "You are the Druidess?" he asked, assuming she was by what Spring had said before she had vanished.
Need to find Wilhelm and Arie... he thought. They will know what to do.
"Do you need any help?" he asked as he crouched down next to the woman.

Pyra slid back ever so slightly, and wrapped her legs around him, and her arms, in a tight hug like the sort an effectionet wife would give. however she had other things on her mind. She slid her arms down his and felt his tight brawny abs. Then she interlaced his fingers with his, and rested her chin lightly on his right shoulder.
"Your going to be okay, I promise my fire won't hurt you. Feel me, my magick, the mana fields. I taught you how to do it."
Then, she created a simple shield of fire around them both.
"Mines useful for blocking magick attacks, especially ice. Yours is to, but it can do otherthings. A wall of ice can quickly impede a bullet, or act as an impromtu bridge. There's all sorts of things a sturdy wall of ice could do." Try it. Like i made mine, accept with your power." Pyra said.
She made and unmade the wall several times in deomonstration.

There was sweat on his brow when he finally made some progress: A dome of ice so thin it was pratically frost came into being. it was so sheer that you could see through it. It lacked the strength to support its own weight and caved in turning to puffs of vapor as it hit Pyra's shield.

What to do?!
"ARIE! ARIE!"
There is no time... you have to help her. The ten seconds is almost up!
Without knowing what else he could do, Loki cast a Holy Shield over the Druidess, the same one that he had just used to stop the spear.

"ugh..." Zachius just sat there for a second, his head ringing "... that.... that was just... NUTS! ... seriously. how in the clear blue fishcakes did 40 rifle rounds cause THAT? or was it 60? i wasn't paying attention. busy trying not to die and all.... speaking of which"
he'd recovered somewhat, and got to his feet, if a little unsteadily. colecting his rifel and halbard from where they had fallen, he fitted a new clip of regular amunition into hit, set the safty, holstered it, and then nodded to Sorcero
"ready when you are. sort of. remind me not to bash any of those to death again... that was nuts. totaly, uterly, Nuts. at least i get a new card out of this mess."
Zachius checked the card he had created. like all the ones he made himself, the backing had changed to a picture of him strikeing a heroic pose. well, one assumed it was him. it was only a siluete.
the frount of the card was labled simply "teleport" with an image of grevous vanishing in a flash as the robots closed in on the Offliners. fairly standard, he'd had more impressive looking cards for lesser effects and greater ones. still, it would come in useful.

Within minutes she was sitting up.
she gave Loki a hug.
"Thank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank you THANK YOU! I thought they were gonna kill me off. I am the Druidess. Spring said your name was Loki. You must be wise indeed to defeat her." Druidess said.
About that time, two doors opened, in came Wilhelm and Arie.
"LOKI!" The both said at once in a worried rush.
"DRUIDESS!" They exclaimed in excitement. Arie knealt to ensure both Druidess and Loki were ok.
"Odd, I thought you would be worse off." Said Arie to Druidess.
"I would have been dead right this very minute if it were not for this brave and powerful mage."
Wilhelm looked at Loki, awe and fear in his eyes.

"Can you help her, Arie?" Loki said, looking up pleedingly into the woman's eyes. "He said you had healing abilities."
Arie knelt down, and put her hands on Druidess's shoulders. Water seemed to flow around them.
Druidess stood.
"You know, i could use some help in my quest. Would you come along?" Druidess asked.
Wilhelm and Arie nodded yes, then they all looked at Loki for his answer.
Again, Loki was left with the choices of doing nothing or helping out what seemed to be decent people. Naturally, he chose the latter, still unsure of how to return home.
"Yeah... I'll go..."
On the way out, Druidess was talking about how they had to go hunt down Autmn and get the beginning seed from her, find the Fruit of winters end, and from deep under the lake, the water of purity. However, outside....
He appeared in a flash of power. Wilhelm, Arie, and Druidess were all stunned.
His hair was red, as were his eyes, his skin was white, his clothes of dark black leather, and emminating from him, was a LOT of magick power. It was red. he spoke in little more then a whisper, but he was clearly heard. An aura of fear came from him, instilling itself in Loki.
It was ID, The Demon of Elru.
"So, your the one that has Kajeenith upset. Heh, you might be strong. But we'll find out another time. Meanwhile, you should remember, you were allowed to cross Realities to observe, not to participate. Interfere again, and next time, we will find out if your strong." ID said. With that, he promptly vanished, with another strong concussive blast.
They were on their feet in no time.
"I say Loki, who was that? how did he know you?" Wilhelm asked.
They were on their feet in no time.
"I say Loki, who was that? how did he know you?" Wilhelm asked.
"I don't know..." Loki replied, surprised at everything that had just happened. "He threatened me not to get involved in anything here..."
But there was something else on Loki's mind. That name... Kajeenth... I have heard it before...

Making up her mind, she strode through the open door with a determined look on her face. The razor-sharp edges of the ice blade glinting in the light.
"This should be interesting," she thought with a smirk.

"Well, anyways. we need to go to the mountains in the far eastren edge of Gaia. Autumn's temple is there, and there lies the Seed of beginning." Druidess said.
"How are we going to get there? Not even the gates go that far." Wilhelm said.
Druidess knelt, and exploded, literally. She exploded into a giant Hawk.
"I guess that answered that question." Wilhelm said.
He helped Arie up, then offered to help Loki up.

Written in blood was one word.
"FOOL"
The room she was in was a mess.
The bed was in 4 un even peices, a table was knocked over, and blood as smeared akll over the walls.
There were three exits. One to the left, that lead to a dark hallway made of stone, one to the right that lead to a wooden hallway, and one between them that lead to a metal hallway. The Metal hallway had the guts of something dead strewn all over it.
No matter which way she chose, it felt like someone, or something, was watching her, waiting for her.
Loki looked hesitantly. Having never liked heights, willingly getting onto a bird that had just appeared was not reassuring to his nerves.
He sighed gently before adjusting his hat and giving his hand to Wilhelm, who easily pulled Loki up onto the Druidess... err... Hawk.
With a nod of the head, he was ready to go.
"care to try elaborateing on what that means? anyway, lead on. i belive we have somewhere to be?"
"A Phaser is a weapon that shoots energy beams instead of bullets. A science mage like myself can adjust it to shoot diffrent types of energy. Either way, they have a higher degree of accuracy than bulllets, and take at least 3 years or 300,000 shots to run out of energy." Sorcero said.
he pulled out a phaser rifle out of his robe, and gave it to Zachius to try.
"If you don't like it, give it back." He said.

With a nod of the head, he was ready to go.
Druidess in Hawk form screached and took flight. she soared to the tops of the trees.
Loki could see that the forest was like a massive continent, as each and every tree grew close enough, that one could walk from oneside of the forest to the other.
Yet, up high, it all seemed, of normal size.
Beyone the great forest, was a plain, that was easily 2 or 300,000 miles in size, and a lake that looked to be the size of all of earth's oceans combined. In its center, grew a lone tree, taller than the entire forest. It was special, it was Gold. A massive hut slightly larger than Olympus Mons sat on the far end of the field. But largest of all were the mountains. They soared all the way into the sky, above the clouds, nearly 1,000,000 miles tall.
Druidess rose to above the clouds, to the Eternal Sky dominion of the birds. Everything seemed peaceful.
A massive cloudbank moved in the distance.
But then, Druidess screeched and banked hard to the left. Massive eagles were attacking.
"Loki, we must do battle with the eagles and protect Druidess. Arie, keep her alive and hang on." Wilhelm said, though he didn't know how much good he could do against eagles who flew beyond his reach, unless Loki could help him with that.
Either way, one Eagle began to Dive bomb towards Druidess. If it struck, she would die, and the would plumet to the ground.

"no genuin depth perception, see? it's worse with a bow than a gun." putting his classes back on, he continued "i also lost it in my 20s or so, so my brain's wired for binocular vision. i'm reduced to monocular, so now when i try and aim at anything very far away, my shots are skewed one way or the other. humm. is this phaser capable of fireing a continuous beam, or does it fire short pulses? if it can generate beams it might be an improvement. ehh. whatever, i'll try it."

Not that it would do much good unless Wilhelm could physically hit his enemy, but Loki went ahead and enchanted his sword so that it glowed red hot, beaming with magical energy.
As an eagle dive bombed and narrowed in, a bolt of lightning flashed out of the sky and nailed it in the back of the head. Loki was now holding his staff and waving one hand in the air, causing the clouds to swirl and a lightning storm to begin...

"A missing eye, would you like a replacement? As for thye gun, it can shoot as fast as an old fashioned Machine gun, or fire a continuous beam. There is very little kick back, which all of the kick back is due to the slave generator in there." Sorcero said not even thinking that Zachius may not of known what a slave generator was.
By this point, they met up with Jack who stumbled out of the building.

The Bird faltered, then resumed its Dive.
Wilhelm thought about it, then made a slicing motion towards the bird, an arcing blade of energy shooting at the bird. It fell. Two more began to streak towards Druidess. These Eagles were blue, and seemed to be special

Noting what had been written in blood on the wall where the 'door' once was, she smiled coldly. She knew that those who went around insulting people were usually of the weak variety and thus usually no threat to one of her skills.
With a quick run down a mental checklist to make sure her abilities were still working in this unrealized reality, she began to study the ways out. Glad she had worn her sturdiest boots, she payed little attention to the mess that covered the floor.

Pyra paused, did some calculations in her head, and then said "Anywhere between 50 to 200 miles." She said.
They decended into the valley.
Pyra led the way discussing some of the more boring an unhelpful points of magick.
things were listening to her talk. Things that were so irritated by her boring lecture, they began to hiss and rattle in a violent manner.
Finally, from out of a solid seeming rock face, came a massive fire snake that reach out, and suddenly ate Pyra.
Then it slithered out to eat Saacon.
It hissed, belching up a Fireball, wich it lobbed in the direction of Saacon.

IC: Wishing she had been given more time to get her bearings, she slashed her ice katana at the creature's neck level. While the blade was technically made out of frozen water, it was sharp enough and it was cold enough (for hardness, strength, and durability) to cut through many metals. She was going for an early decapitation strike. What she did after that would depend on what mood she was in.
The head rolled down the stone hallway.
The body fell.
She still had to chose which darkened hallway to go down.

"sorry... didn't want to risk a ranged shot. might have hit you." he turned back to Sorcero and continued as if nothing had happend "about that eye... ... it really depends on what your proposeing."
The Bird faltered, then resumed its Dive.
Wilhelm thought about it, then made a slicing motion towards the bird, an arcing blade of energy shooting at the bird. It fell. Two more began to streak towards Druidess. These Eagles were blue, and seemed to be special
Realizing that the lightning was not having much effect on the birds, Loki decided it was time to ratchet it up a notch. "Keep attacking them..." the young mage said to Wilhelm as he began chanting something under his breath. The lightning continued as did the swirling clouds, but from somewhere amongst the heavens, and object came flying out.
It sped towards one of the eagles at tremendous speeds, and as it drew closer (very quickly) one could make out the form of a large hammer rotating head over shaft (the head about the size of a chair) and the blue aura that surrounded it.

Saacon reacted without thought, relying instead on his reflexes. As the snake came on, he reached out and gouged its eyes before using his figers as a bridge to transfer the bitingly cold temperatures he was generating.

H4Xor came round with the car.
"GET IN!" he screamed.
Doors flew open.
After safely inside, H4xor hit the Accelerator and the car zoomed away. The reason for his haste became appearent, as a massive machine came running after them, shooting missles large enough to level city blocks.
Sorcero began combating the machine. Jack stood out of the sun roof, and shot his Phaser.
The rear window rolled down for Zachius.

Then, something took control of the thunderstorm from Loki. A great icy blast of winter hit them. The thunderstorm boiled, and something formed in it. Great amounts of lightning flashed, and decended from the clouds was a creature most legendary and ancient. It was Quezacotl, the legendary Thunderbird.
The Winterwind blew again.

They ended up in a bay. Vehicles were scattered all over.
Jack looked stunned.
"Alright, so we made it here a couple hours early. Zachius, this is a place known far and wide as the Bar. Its a Waypoint between the Worlds in technus. It has a Bar, a resturant, and all sorts of other things to do, and see. Everybody, spread out. Zachius, your offline card is your cash. Listen to your thoughts, Sorcero will let you know when and where to gather, later." Jack said.

"ummm... ok?" Zachius was, to be honest, amazed at how easily and perfectly that had worked. after getting out of the vehical, he checked his pockets, weapons, and satchal, just makeing sure everything was where it was ment to be.
it was fortunate the pouches he kept ink bottles in were water tight. several of them had been smashed in the days activitys. somewhere along the way he'd have to empty the whole thing out, clean it, and repack his gear.

In Loki's original reality, that would have been fine, except Shiva couldn't cross the boundries of reality.
So he got The ice Banshee from Frez instead.

The Lightning bolt struck her.

She turned, and cast an ice spell of massive proportions. Even the Old Hag of winter was impressed. Mainly because half the forest was now covered in winter.
Then she covered The thunderbird in Dry Ice. Winter stepped in, and cancled out Ice Banshee's powers. Thunderbird dived, and ate Ice Banshee. Then he dived for a raking attack against Druidess.
Druidess banked, but got wounded. She began to spiral, then outright head dive. Arie was healing her as fast as she could, but to no avail. Druidess crashed at the foot of a massive flowergarden, inside, Summer's Domain.
The Thunderbird turned and flew off, taking the storm with it.
Loki was on a large flower, face to face with a fairy. She smiled.

i didn't intend to say you had prevented me from doing things, so much as failed to enable me to do them in the first place.
for example, in this case, i can follow the random people who, it seems, arn't really relivant to anything except telling me about something i was There for, or i can ask the waitress for food or drink, or i can keep writing, or i can compleatly stuff Zachius's charicter and make use of 'other' services.. or i can just wait some more for contact. already did the food/drink bit, don't want to breack his charicter, following the guys is fairly pointless... you see my predicoment?
at any rate, the combination of the IC and your OOC stuff there has, this time, given me some vague leads to follow. ack.. this OOC is longer than i planned. anyway...

finishing with his writing, he motioned for the watress to come over.

Though probably not much bigger than himself - and he might even look taller due to his oversized hat - from Loki's point of view, which was sitting on the flower and looking up, the fairy still looked large. "Umm... hello," he said hesitantly, not knowing if the creature in front of him was friend or foe.

Remembering the Druidess, he looked from right to left to catch any sign of her.

"Well, now, as to making projectiles, gave me your hands." She intructed.
Saacon rolled to his feet and extended his hands, one ungloved to her almost eagerly. Alright, now this is what I've been waiting for.
She grabbed it by the back.
"Everyone develops their own form and style. You'll be no exception." She said.
She didn't make a projectile with her magick, instead, she used hers to guide Saacon's in making one itself. It made a giant Ice Ball, which Pyra had thrown against a Tree. Then, She guided him in making a ray of frost, similar to her cone of fire. Having showed him the very basics, she aldo made a second Iceball with his magick, and proceeded to launch it without having him move his arm. It was a little diffrent, a basicly boiled down to style. Move his arm for projectiles, or point and shoot? Then she flipped away and stood many paces away.
"Now, using what i have just shown you, take your best shot." She said.

Saacon shrugged and began to concentrate he threw several ice balls at her from several angles, including on that went flying straight up until it disappeared. He threw in a few half hearted ice beams as well, but he was obviousely busy with something else. He was soon drenched with sweat, it was pouring off his face.

She called a halt.
"You are doing good, it seems you have the basics. now, just practice practice practice."
The sun set.
Pyra looked around.
not seeing any firewood about, she set a magick blaze, and unlike last night, erected a circle of protection.
She pulled out the evenings rations.
After dinner, she had Saacon go to sleep, to recover his energy.
"Queen Venus Promised me that if i waited on this flower long enough, I would be married to the first person to fall out of the sky. Your the first person to fall out of the sky the three hours I've been waiting. Oh I'll be such a good housekeeper! you'll never notice a thing out of place, and then, in a few years, when we have children. Oh, Children!" she said getting Giddy about the thought. Obviously loki fell in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I'm sorry..." Loki said in an imature voice. "But I am only five. And I don't want to get married and I don't even live here."
"I'm sorry..." Loki said in an imature voice. "But I am only five. And I don't want to get married and I don't even live here."
The Fairy thought about it.
"We need to go see Queen Mab then. Most likely, your friends were taken there anyway, more as a curiosity than anything. But the main reason for the trip, is that by Queen Mab's Law, we ARE married now. Males never have much choice. not that theirs very many of them." She said. She picked up Loki, and flew through the Garden. There were all kinds of Flowers, and no sign of the others.
What have I gotten myself into?!? Loki thought frantically as the fairy picked him up and soon he was flying through the air... something he disliked doing very much.

Saacon's magick would tingle slightly while he slept, but only breifly, then no more. What he didn't know, was that it was his intuiton as a skilled warrior, merging with his magick, trying to tell him, something was wrong. but then, something quieted it. Saacon got the strong feeling of the one person he would remember as always being there for him. It felt like they were watching him sleep. But the feelings were not intruding upon his sleep.
Pyra got similar feelings while she slept, for she had fallen asleep where she stood, without waking Saacon.
When they awoke, there was a man in Armor. It was all White, naturally. It was Mythril, Pure Silver, but it was white. The only thing of Color, was a Gold Chain about his neck, which bore the symbol of Leadership for the group he belonged to. His Shield carried the Crest of the True Source of all things.
The man sat on a Horse, that wasn't a Horse. It was an alicorn. A Winged Unicorn. It was Pure White, and its wings were folded by its side.
The man carried a Great Longsword. His Helmet completly covered his face.
He had an Air of authority that was unquestionable, and his Aura, it was So Holy, everyone could easily see it Glowing White Around him, and spreading accross the Land. Even Saacon could tell this man had great power.
"You've awakened, I see. You should be careful when traveling, and never rest near the kill sight of an enemy. The Fire snakes brethren you killed yesterday wriggled up from the earth, and blanketed you both in deep sleep, to kill you. Fortunatly, I was nearby. Behind me, you can see their shreded and destroyed bodies. I killed them all, for they would not accept any course of action except one of Violence, for they intended to kill you both, and i sincerly regret having to resort to a violent solution. You, sir, should detour to the left for a mile or so. Take this Young lady your with, with you." The man said. His authority, it was even in his voice.
Saacon and Pyra both could tell, it was pointless to try and lie to this man, he would find it out the lie even as it was spoken anyway.
Behind him a snake was wriggling forward in surprise attack.
A Ball of Ice large as a Volkswagon fell on its head.
"Good timing on that Ice ball you threw in the air last night by the way. That was what drew me here." The man said.
Pyra stood up.
"May we at least know who our beneficiary is?" She asked politly.
"My name is of no importance, though in my own country I am known as Rahegalhoff Mesquchoku. My companion, is the Alicorn Starfire." He said.

Alright, thought Saacon, I seem to have fallen further dow the effing rabbit hole. Saacon was less inclined to believe this character and his overgrown bird than he was about magick. Really the only thing he was thinking was the best way to eliminate the knight and his bird and take the longsword.
What have I gotten myself into?!? Loki thought frantically as the fairy picked him up and soon he was flying through the air... something he disliked doing very much.
She suddenly dived for a mushroom ring. It appeared to be grown in solid ground. But then the ground fell into a hidden fairy cave. She flew through it, and into a vast network of caves. She stopped at a cavern bigger than them all.
Fairies were everywhere, in all shapes and sizes. The floor was a still pond, with water Loki could walk on. Lily pads were area rugs, and floweres were tables and chairs. The Fairies flitted about, leading happy carefree lives.
The firy flying Loki stopped infront of a door guarded by two mean looking warrior fairies.
Inside, was Queen Mab, the Fairy Queen herself She had three sets of Beautiful wings, and wore a gown of moss. She sat on a sunflower, surrounded by several fairies, giggling at the fairy Loki met, and loki himself.
"Raerae" Queen Mab called The Fairy Loki met, for this was her name.
"Raerae, tell me, have you caught a man so soon?" She asked.
"That's just it My queen, this is no man, but a boy." She said.
"And you, then Child. are you so anxious to be a Grown that you would marry a Fairy?" she asked.

"You have Violent thoughts young man. You want this sword? Take it, its yours. It was about to break anyway. fire snakes with acid blood usually tend to do that to a weapon. My armor i keep though. I can tell you want us gone, so Off I go." He said. And just like that, they were gone. The sword landed at Saacon's feet.
"Well, shall we be off?" Pyra asked.

Loki had to be careful in his response. Upsetting the fairies in their domain would not be the wisest decision. "I like where I am in life fine," he replied in a humble tone as he glanced at all of the fairies listening in.

Other than the Hairline fractures, and the sputs that looked like something had taken a bite out of it, there was nothing wrong.
Pyra walked on, and on. Throughout the day she randomly cast something on Saacon. Once, she even shot him in the ass with a lightning bolt.

Saacon didn't really care. He was busy trying to figure out how to fix it. A larger weapon could prove useful after all. "Hey, Pyra. Is ice magick all I can do, or will I be able to pick up more as I go along? And is there a limit to hw much I can learn?

"For now, possibly, and depends on what happends." Pyra respinded.
She disappeared around the bend. Then she came running back as fast as she possibly could, screaming at the top of her lungs. The reason why poked its head around the corner and shot am atomic fireball, which was far more powerful than a regular firebal, at Saacon as a greeting.
It was only a dragon. A dragon that was nearly 50 feet tall, and almost twice as long. Its wings were at its side. Its scales were Red and white. It had both fire and Ice magick. Its claws were as scimitars, its scales were as hard as the strongest of steels. Its eyes looked at Saacon hungrily.
It roared, and began to charge Saacon.
OOC: diffrence between a Regular Fireball and an Atomic Fireball.
Regular Fireball = one standerd hand Grenade.
Atomic Fireball: = enough plastic Explosives to demolish a building.
Oh yes, welcome to your test, Grading is as follows, you pass, you live. you fail, you get eaten. I'm assuming enough time has passed with enough practice for Saacon to become profecient with his powers, and creative enough to escape the dragon. Bonus points if you can kill it.

"And a couple of friends and I were flying from Spring's domain to Summer's... I think," Loki said, remembering Wilhelm and Arie... and Druidess.
"But then we were attacked and I fell and got separated from them."
ooc: my point is, with almost no information about what is and isn't there, is and isn't possible, and ZERO in the way of definable goals beyond "wait for contact" ... i have so much choice and so little to base said choice on it may was well be nothing. comparitive to the quantity of information and quality of decision, there is such a thing as too much freedom.
i didn't intend to say you had prevented me from doing things, so much as failed to enable me to do them in the first place.
for example, in this case, i can follow the random people who, it seems, arn't really relivant to anything except telling me about something i was There for, or i can ask the waitress for food or drink, or i can keep writing, or i can compleatly stuff Zachius's charicter and make use of 'other' services.. or i can just wait some more for contact. already did the food/drink bit, don't want to breack his charicter, following the guys is fairly pointless... you see my predicoment?
at any rate, the combination of the IC and your OOC stuff there has, this time, given me some vague leads to follow. ack.. this OOC is longer than i planned. anyway...
IC:
Zachius heard the androids' conversation. the first thing he wondered was why they were conversing in audiable human speach rather than more rapid raidio or infrared based data transimition. it then occured to him to wonder what the 'C.I.U.' was, though he figured he should probibly already know.
finishing with his writing, he motioned for the watress to come over.
"given the nature of this place, i assume i owe you something for the drink? ...humm... you see a lot of people come and go here, no doubt. perhaps you could answer some questions?"
She sat down, ready for all sorts of lines of questioning.

Yes! thought Saacon exitedly, This is what I'm talking about! Saacon charged the dragon, sword held high. As he ran he was chanting, not magick incantations but something else. As he closed Saacon tried to direct all the energy he could into the rock wall. Hoping the temperature change would weaken its integrety and it would collapse atop the dragon.
Being the the dragon was as big as the wall, it collapsed, but it was nothing but an anoyance.
He reached Saacon, and brought his right foreleg down on Saacon.

Bracing himself, Sacon held the sword vertically above his head. Using ice magick to keep himself from becoming a Saacon pancake, he hoped this would hurt the dragon enough to make his next move.

it banked and began flying up high into the sky, where the dangerous winds were. The dragon flew into a thunderstorm and lightning flashed, then it turned and plummeted for the ground just as fast as it and gravity could go.

Saacon had a passing familiarity with physics and tried to alter the flight characteristics of the dragon. It was likely counting on a certain amount of weight when it pulled out of the dive. Saacon sought to add to that weight and cause the dragon to overshoot its pullout point. He tried to cover the wings, tail back, everywhere with as much ice as he could.
Saacon succeeded in his Goal.
It got up and spoke.
"Juicy Morsel, your the hardest dinner I've ever caught." It said.
Then it cast extreme Snow magick and a Ice ball fell out of the sky hurtling towards saacon.
Pyra However Melted it to make it a ball of water.
"If you choose death, I shall Die with you." She said.
The Dragon roared a Frightful Roar.
It took off and zoomed towards the Sky.
"It left?" she questioned.
Hurtling towards them, was both Ice and Fire Magick hurtling towards them.
When it struck the ground a massive Firestorm would hit, and fry them both, then the Ice would strick, quick freezing them from extreme heat.
Finally the dragon followed, intending to dash them to pieces.
It seemed to be wobbly though, as though it were injured inside.

Saacon grabbed Pyra by the arms and spun as hard and as fast as he could. Once she gained enough momentum that she was parallel to the ground he let go, sending her flying to safety. Turning, he drew out a pair of knives and set himself, planning his next move. He could accept the temperatures, and readied himself to create a platform of ice underneath his feet. It would grow and he would attack the dragon's head.
Fire hit him first, creeping into his eyes, his nose, his mouth, even up his rear, frying him from the inside out. It curled all over his body, deliviering 3rd degree burns.
Then the Ice hit. It was like taking a dip in liquid Nitrogen. It too Creeped in his eyes, in his nose, even up his rear, freezing him from the inside out, it creeped over every inch of his skin, freezing it solid.
The Dragon roared in triumph, and prepared to dive and gobble up its frozen meal.

"I will not hinder you, but I cannot help you either. All I can do is give you a wedding present. A map." Mab said.
A map was created infront of Loki. It was of Summer's Realm in the Fairy garden. It showed the entrance Loki used, and the location of Summer's Temple.
Mab waved a hand. They were outside. Raerae b3egan flying Loki to the Temple.
"Thank you kindly," Loki commented as he received the map and then was transported outside. From there he felt himself lifted up and began flying through the air - once again to his displeasure, though less so as he knew there was no other choice - apparently towards where his friends were being held.

Raerae landed outside a Temple larger than springs. Flowers in Full Bloom covered the temple. The doors were two living trees.
Raerae walked up to the doors, and used fairy magick to move them.
She held the door open for loki.
"Thank you," he said with a hesitant smile as he entered through the doors and looked around. As he did so, he wondered if she was planning on following him in... and if so, how far after that. To what point would she take this marriage and how could he explain to her that he couldn't be married to her let alone stay here.
Raerae walked in, down a hall, and disappeared.
Loki could either follow her, or wander by himself.

The head rolled down the stone hallway.
The body fell.
She still had to chose which darkened hallway to go down.
Stone, Metal, or wood.
Weighing the facts carefully in her mind, she paused for a while as she judged the various factors involved. Factors like thermal conductivity, room for rapid movement, humidity, available lighting, and so on.
After a couple minutes, she moved to the nexus foci where the perspective lines from all three merged. Using the blood from the decapitated 'creature', she marked out an array on the ground complete with arcane symbols. She then carefully removed the beast's brain with an ice knife she allowed to subside back into the air and stepped into the center of the array.
Emma removed her staff from its holster and activated the control that extended it to its full length using molecular compression technology. Focusing and concentrating, she formed a blade of ice from the top of the permament crystal affixed the end and jabbed it into the brain while muttering a few words in a dark and ancient language older than time.
As the tip of the ice blade slid into the beast's brain, the brain, the array, and parts of the staff began to glow with Darklight as Emma abosorbed the creature's essence. Its power would be transferred into her.
At the end of the ritual, she tossed the now blackened and dessicated brain to the side and stepped out of the area where the array had etched markings into the ground with her staff still glowing slightly with Darklight. She moved closer to the entries to the hallways and judged which had the greater flow density. She knew that if she followed the greater flow density, she would eventually work her way outside. Thus, forming an ice seath for her ice katana as she walked, she stepped into the corrider with the greatest flow density.
Zachius thought for a moment, then spoke "lets start with some simple stuff. what is your name? admitedly i have a tendancy to avoid useing names in conversation, but it is still better to know, is it not? my name is Zachius, if you're curious, and forgoten if you're not, i'll bet."
"My name? gosh, no one's ever asked me what my name is before. That's, sweet. My name, is, Renee." She said.
"So, what's it going to be, teabag, Doggi bag? Kama Sutra styles, Missionary, Prices vary according to what you want. Base price is 100$ for the first hour, with an additional 50$ per hour ever hour after thyat, plus prices for what you want to do. I charge extra for no protection, bu I can provide it at no cost. we can use my room here for an extra 25$ id you do not have one availible." She said a second later going straight to what she thought Zachius was going to ask her about.
OOC: Yes, she is that sort of a woman, but she also knows plenty of information.
Though Raeare had helped him get to the temple, they would have to part ways eventually and so Loki decided that now was a good a time as ever.
Seeing the fairy walk down one of the halls, Loki took the one to the left of it and began wandering...
He wandered up down, left, right, through doors, and around the temple for at least two hours. Then he stumbled accross the main chamber.
"So, this is the final one. I have you all, you can watch each other die. I am Summer. Spring is a fool. She is naught but the beginning oof things. However things grow, and take hold. summer is the strongest of all things. I only need sack the lands of the Sahn tah Elves and I will rule the seasons. Your, arrival, no matter how unfortunate, has put a stopper in my plans. The easiest solution is to Kill you, Loki. Your friends will watch you die first." Summer said. With that, she held out her hand, and charged Loki with her spear, aiming for his heart.
Disturbingly enough, the creature had no essence to absorb.
Emma would find the Metalhallway met her specifications.
She found herself wandering a long dark hallway. All light, radiated from her, somehow, someway. But, she was not alone. She was above a great Chasim.
And somewhere out in the darkness, something was watching her.
"Your so beautiful. You remind me of my three daughters. i shall call you, Little Daughter. I don't care if you don't like it. I'm not gicing you a choice in the matter. but, are you as strong as they are? I shall send others to test you. I do not think I have it in me to harmyou myself, for you look so much like my beautiful daughters. I shall vanish, but remember, you are my Little Daughter." A creepy voice said in the darkness. It had no direction, it came from all around her.
Then the entire darkness simply vanished, revealing a pit of broken and dead bodies beneath her, all of them still wriggling and moving, joining together, to form somthing new. The expanse of the room she was in, was perhaps 50 fit square, leading into a room Twice as large.

"My name? gosh, no one's ever asked me what my name is before.
"none of the above, thank you, Renee. information is what i'm after. information, mind, not raw data. oh, and don't mind me if i use your name a lot. it's the only way i'll remember it, and i'm terrible with names, as a rule." Zachius thought for a moment. he had learnt over time to phrase his questions in such a way as to gather information without makeing his unuseual origens stand out... mostly.
"lets start with recent history. the ruler of this place... Ansem i think? i never did keep up with politics much... he disapiered recently yes? i was wondering what you knew of him.
also .. whats his name... security guy, telliports, makes a big noise about how he's going to crush you then runs away and leaves his minions to do the job... anything on him would be helpful too. taht's not exactly history so much as current events, i suppose. anyway, some friends of mine... well, friends is a bit familiar... call them associates... anyway, they had a run in with him recently.
heck, may as well tell me about yourself, too. never know, perhaps i might put some effort into being a little less mysterious myself, no?" he smiled as though it were an amuseing joke. "i find it helps if people know me well enough to react, so they either like me or hate me... that way i can tell what they'll do more easily, and act accordingly.
wouldn't do for a foe to know where i was headed next, after all."
Zachius's pauses had a tendancy to come in odd places in his sentances, no where near the logical full stops, as often as not.

Things had not gone as Saacon had planned. Apparently there were limits to what he could endure. Thinking quickly, he tried to use his magick to absorb the ice. He would use the cold drawn in to numb what pain he could not ignore and to keep down any swelling and inflammation. Then he would try to materialize a pair of cold fields inside the dragon. One centered on its heart, the other on its brain.
He wandered up down, left, right, through doors, and around the temple for at least two hours. Then he stumbled accross the main chamber.

Ugg... more spears, Loki thought to himself as he stood watching Summer charge him with a particularly deadly looking spear.
When she was within - or rather when the spear's tip was within - five feet of the young mage, he disappeared into thin air.
In the blink of an eye, he reappeared thirty or so feet behind where Summer was and quickly conjured a ball of fire in his gloved hands. In less than a second the ball had grown to a decent size and he began firing off fire balls...

"well. that was informative" Zachius smiled, then retrived his writing gear again so as to make note of this new information. it didn't take him long, but he was left with a puzzle. incredulousness at his not knowing things that even a man who lived in a cave on the other side of the planet should know, that he was used to. someone automaticly assuming he was from a different world? that was a bit different. then again, this reality, such as it was, seemed rather aware of it's multiple aspects.

Mentally taking note of what the voice said, and not letting it distract her from her main goal of survival, she did feel a little admiration at one who had mastered that voice trick. One she hadn't gotten down pact yet, but was working on.
Then, blinking to adjust her eyes to the sudden shift in light, she hugged the wall and moved along the edge. Large open spaces with poor cover didn't sit well with her at the moment.
Keeping the proverbial eye on the organic soup, she worked her way foward. Still, to be on the safe side, she slid her ice katana from its ice seath.
OOC: Yes, the voice seeming to come from where ever shadow's lie is a Dark Paradine ability. I've actually used it in another RP.
Summer turned, and batted the fireballs away. Then she held up her right hand.
The light began to condense in her hand. It got brighter and brighter.
Then she pointed at loki, and a beam of ultra intensified solar energy shot at Loki, slicing straight through everything like a hot knife through butter.
A Solar Flare, as Loki called the beam of intensified solar energy that Summer shot at him, was extremely fast and hard to dodge. The young mage stuck out his hands to stop the beam, but it was quite powerful and soon knocked him head over heels ten feet backwards against a wall.
He was slightly dazed and dizzy as he got up and prepared for the next attack...

Renee paused at the table, and put a newspaper infront of him. Nanotechnology allowed the paper to update itself with the latest edition.
This was all over the front.
"Rebel Group known as Offline destroys the City of new wachalla!"
It showed a picture of Zachius, waving a Plasma pistol around and executing innocent civilians. But wait, Zachus never did that, did he? At the same time, this pic was not fake. What was going on?
Several nearby customers edged away from Zachus.
Sorcero's voice sounded in his head.
"Do not react to this message. Do not return to the shuttle. Hire the bar Hoar and use her room. Trust me." Sorcero said.

"very well" Zachius's speach was barly as loud as his own breathing. still tilted back, he made a slight gesture with his right hand, almost a salute, a gesture of thanks, and a request for attention, all at the same time. speaking just loud enough to be heard by his intended audiance, he continued "Renee, my dear, i think you might just be earning yourself some money after all."
the picture was as real as anything else in the paper. what this ment was anyones guess, but on possibility was the use of disguised androids, or perfect computer editing. neither was out of the question in this reality.
Zachius folded the paper up and pocketed it, then stood in a fluid, almost catlike motion 'heh... what i actually did was Far more impressive.' he breathed.

The attack flying at him was quite one-dimensional - all in a straight line. The young mage simply swung to a side, avoiding the Ninja Stars, and touched the ground with his gloved hand. Instantly, where his hand contacted the surface of the floor, ice sprang up and began coating the ground on its way towards Summer.

Having to deal with the exposure to extreme temperatures, Saacon knew he wouldn't be able to function much longer. Well, here goes. In an all or nothing attack he tried a two part plan. First he tried to form a floating blade of ice with which to open the dragon's stomach. Then he would throw all his energy into a beam targetted at the exposed area.

Instantly, where his hand contacted the surface of the floor, ice sprang up and began coating the ground on its way towards Summer.
Summer Smiled, and the Heat rose to such levels that even the plants in the temple wilted and died. Ice attacks were quite impossible. Then she began concentrating all her powers into a single powerful spell. The air began to sparkle and shimmer as she drew in magick. It became suffacating.
Then pointed at Loki and cast Terra flare.
The Air exploded as billions of pointy jagged rocks and shrapnel of all kinds flew everywhere, and large boulders fell from the ceiling. If loki survived, this would be his chance. Summer fell to her knees.

The Dragon burst open and died. Its spirit could be seen flying away. There was something shiny in its guts though. It was a beautiful longsword, and its name was inscribed as Dragonfang. Its hilt was of Purest silver, its hilt of finest Gold. Jewels were embeded in the hilt. It seemed to be calling to Saacon, begging him to pick it up. Yet his magick was tingling. Trying to tell him, something was not quite right.

While something told him that swords don't mysteriously fall out of dead dragons unless playing a video game, Saacon didn't listen. Exhausted from his fight with the aforementioned dragon, he just wanted a closer look at the shiny thing. As he staggered up to it, he stumbled and nearly fell...catching himself on the sword.
OOC: And so you fell for the simple trap.
IC: The sword glowed for a second. Then went back to not shining. Saacon would feel, diffrent.
"SAACON DROP THAT RIGHT NOW!!!" Pyra yelled.
For you see, the sword was cursed. Saacon couldn't hit the broadside of a barn now. He was cursed to always miss his targat, forevermore. Worse, he could not get rid of the sword. Even if he were to throw it from him, it would come flying back. Bury it, and it would creep into his hand. It was going to take someone stronger than Pyra to remove the curse.
Pyra sighed.
"Nevermind, its too late now. Come on. Lets go." She said.

"still, i can always help out. this system is screwed up and no mistake.
oh, Renee, i belive i owe you some money for the use of the room?" he retrived his offline card from a pocket "however one goes about useing this to give people money. i didn't lie when i said i wouldn't be needing your services, however. just the room, information, and your silence... unless, of course, you have something else to offer which might actually be helpful?"
he didn't even pause before coninueing "well, i've got no idea who this lot are, but i'm somewhat averse to changing who i am, even physicaly. there are other ways, yes.
the simplest makes use of software. corrupt the system. litterally bring it down. alternativly, a direct stricke wtih explosives and the like could achive your goal quite rappidly, though i'm sure there are reasons why you havent' already tryed that. humm. did it ever occure to you to make use of EMPs? it's quite likely the facilitys themselves are shielded, but the 'droids and so on outside guarding can't be too well protected.
there are so many ways around, through, out of, or whichever, this problem, it's crazy. the thing is, it depends what your situation is NOW. certainly, hideing in the shadows does no good."
a... slightly scary grin spread accross his face "you know, i haven't tested the limits of that teleportation card yet. never know. might even be able to get us where we need to go" he snapped his fingers "like that.
if i may make a suggestion though? body armor. seriously. some of those weapons? not fun to get hit by."
Saacon just kind of layed there uselessly.
Pyra knelt and prayed for help.
A woman in grey Wizardess robes came around the bend. She was an old woman, she leaned on a staff.
"Why my dear child, what ever could be wrong with you?" She asked.
"My friend here just fought and killed the feared Dragon of dual elements. But, then he fainted." She said, tears standing in her eyes.
"Dearie, don't cry. I can tell your friend is alive. i am Khalan, Legendary Wizardess of Healing. My knowledge and skill is greater than that of most countires. I will help you." She said.
Then she cast several spells, found out what was wrong with Saacon, and proceeded to patch him up.
Minutes later he was healed, just resting.
"Now, I know that the Dark Priestess has warned you of interfereing, but she, like her master, want the cycle of creation and destruction to continue uninterupted. I represent the otherside. Please, continue as you are. Without this journey, and its results Frez and Nova will both destroy each other, needlessly. They regulate Temperature in all other realms. Don't let a woman like Jiralyn scare you." She said.
She looked down at Saacon who should be awake by this time.
"How you feelin?" She asked.
"quite frankly, i doubt they can even Get to as many different realitys as i can. either these are a subset of the ones i normaly inhabit, or vice versa. either they can't find me once i leave, or they have to wait in line behind a gould 10 or more other orginizations."
Zachius paused for a moment
"Appearently you don't understand the C.I.U. Anyways, those solutions sound good, but we still have to change our appearence, Every five inches of Technus is bugged with audio and video survalance. The C.I.U. knows EVERYTHING. H4Xor has a solution though. In this room." Jack said.
Without warning, everything went black, and Saacon would find something restricing him. It, felt like a tube. Something was putting him to sleep. Later, when he awoke, she was a diffrent person.
Yes, She.
The tube dissolved.
A thin nerdy man looked at Zachus and laughed.
"H4Xor, Sorcero, I think you miscalculated." The man said.
A big buff bodybulder with curly brown locks replied "I tried, I've never done 40 people at once."
Zachus had his clothes on, but they were remodled to fit a woman. A mirror nearby showed Zachus had been turned into an average looking brunette woman, in high heels.
Sorcero and H4xor had done something to change everyone's appearence, physicly <SP?>
Loki once again went flying through the air due to the power of the blast. As he went, shrapnel and rocks went flying with him, cutting him up badly. His clothes had holes and cuts in them and he was hurt - not that it was visible.
When the boulders fell from the ceiling, they came crashing down around him. One was on course to squash him into the ground, but the young mage found enough concentration and energy to blast it apart.
After the rocks were done flying and the power dissipated, Loki slowly got to his feet, clearly in pain and struggling to stand, and managed to cast another few fire balls at the kneeling Summer.

"Meh. Like I've survived a few rounds being tag-teamed by Ali and Frazier." He hauled himself to his feet. "I feel like I could nap forever. Shall we go?"

"That's quite normal." Khalan said
Pyra helped Saacon up.
"I shall follow for a day, ensure you are all right, then I will go away.
Nothing intresting would happen that day. But that night after Khalan left...
Pyra turned a corner looking for a spot to camp, and stopped cold.
In front of her was a massive temple, and it was oin fire.
"The legendary Temple of El Novae, The Eternal Fire." She said in a hushed voice. The doors swung open.

Which would have been a good plan, if there wasn't a super-massive wall of Lava behind him. Appearently, it really didn't matter. Something wanted him in there.
Saacon, don't fight me. Saacon, I need you. I am El Novae, the Spirit of fire. I am not Evil, in and of myself. It is the actions of those that use me that determine if I am good or not. Saacon, you are incomplete given a partial gift by the Ice Banshee. Allow me to complete it and give you so much more.

let alone gender and so on. . . even the most sophisticated gear can get screwed up by simple disguises. facial hair, remove glasses, add cybernetic eye, etc etc.

Pyra was already walking towards it like she had found her lord and saviour.
Saacon had been trained to resist various types of mental breakdowns and persuasions. Those had all been of a conventional means, though. From a world where magick and telepaths were wholly the realm of fiction, he was totally defenseless against this type of suggestion. When he began to follow Pyra, he knew that something was off, but he just couldn't place what it was. Every time he got near it, something pushed his mind away. It was maddening.
It lead down into a large room.
The Undead began moaning.
"N...O......E.....S.....C.....A.....P....E.....!!!" over and over.
The entire soup began to shamble over to her. Thousands of undead. It would take more than a simple iceblade to destroy the Swarm.

Without even asking, if it is an illusion, you hyave jumped as far away from the truth as you possibly could have. H4xor realised Zachus did not want to be changed physicly, and excluded him from genuine body change. Sorcero did not exclude him from the illusion which in no way shape or form actually interfere with the real physical truth. Sorcero cast a Glamour, which is regarded by many diffrent fantasy sources as being the most powerful of Illusions. The physical appeareance changes, because in a way, it does. However in truth, it really does not.
Why did you not bother trying anything ICly to see if it was as it appeared to be? Why did you not ask any questions ICly? Why did you just immidiatly give up all hope and post OOCLy?

A single platform of steel came over for Saacon to step on.

"Well, Loki. Its been some time. Did you ever learn Healing, or should I take care of this?" Said a Voice at the same instant Loki felt a familier presence appeare behind him. Now, they once again found each other... no doubt both of their skills having improved. "Xos! What are you doing here?!"

"You know, Cid never completed the Migration to Warfare's realm. He turned down imortality. However, he taught me all he know of science, and thus I gained his skill. I've worked long and hard to get to this point, and now, watch." Xos said.
He raised his hand. Enrgy lanced throughout the temple. It began to collapse all around them. Yet as it fell apart, it zoomed over to Xos, and transmuted into many diffrent things. These diffrent things converged, and an entire airship began to assemble itself. Within minutes, a Brand new airship, named the Gaiaforce was assembled, and ready to go.
"Well, then, come on. Miss druidess, if you would care to direct our course, while I fly the thing. Wilhelm, stand at the weapons. Loki, climb the crows nest and watch the skies for us. Miss Arie, you simply sit and enjoy the flight." Xos said.
He opened a door to the ship. Everyone began to file inside..
