IC:
Reality, is a comfortable thing. You learn of it, you master it. But what, if you had the chance to leave your Reality behind you, would you?
What would happen to you? would you find nobility and adventure, like the Children in the Chronicles of Narnia? would you find worlds filled with wonder, and imagination, and help those within, gaining fame and staus?
Or...
Would you find something else, Terror beyond your reckoning, beasts so terribly awesome, that to know of them, is to know of your own doom. Would you find things so impossible diffrent you would be driven to the mad-house? or would you be cruel yourself to everyone you met, spreading terror and destruction accross multiple realities.
The choice is yours....
Gently, softly, she slips into your life. You know not from where she came, only that her beauty is most alien in its Quality. Days pass, and you become aquaintences, with the only thing keeping you apart, are her many trips to far away lands. She calls herself Jiralyn and on occasion she refers to herself as The Dark Priestess. More of herself, she will not say. One day she invites you to come with her, to a place she says is far, far away.
Before you can answer, she reveals her powers of Magick to you, only these powers don't seem to belong in this universe. The spell she casts opens a door in the middle of the room. She opens it, to reveal an impossibly vast room beyond, a room filled with doors. She steps through, and walks off, calling for you to follow or shut the door. The Choice is yours, do you stay, and miss out on the adventure of several lifetimes, or do you go, and risk never returning home again? The choice is yours, the possibility is there.
OOC:When I say you in the IC portion, I am of course, referring to your Characters. The door is the opening portion. Of course if you say no and close the door, then your adventure is done, and would make for a pointless post, thus I assume that those who do not post, say no. When youi do post, and say yes do not follow my format, follow the standered 2nd person format.

"Okaaaaaaaay...definately not somethin' you see every day." Steeling himself, he walked through the door. And whatever he expected to see, this sure as hell wasn't it.
The Room, in more detail, was so big, Saacon could not see its walls with his own eyes. It disappeared into darkness.
There are many doors everywhere.
He hears her steps disappearing to the right.

Turning to his right, Saacon broke into a jog. Running past doors in a room he knew couldn't have existed. He should have long since run through the exterior wall of the building, the room just couldn't exist. Then it occured to him that he should have caught up to Jiralyn by now. After all she was just some chick after all, and he was in the best physical shape of his life. Thus far the experience was beginning to become maddening.

She let out one last loud laugh. By this point, he was hopelessly lost, and finding his way back would indeed be difficult.
Ten doors were slightly ajar, and Jiralyn's footprints stopped infront of them. Which one did she enter?
Each one seemed diffrent.
OOC: Go to the OOC thread, look over the name of each one, each one has its name carved in the doorway. The Nationstates verse, which is somewhere in the castle, is marked only by and NS symbol. All others have their name carved into them.

At this point Saacon was angry enough to hit something. Well, if she went through one of these doors, and they were all right next to eachother, it should be easy to step in and look around. If she was in a different room and tried to run, he would see her and run her down. He looked at the far left door. "Frez, huh? Well, fortune favors the bold." So saying, he walked through the doorway.
Saacos found himself on a frozen Reality. It Streached forever.
The door shut softly behind him, and would not open for him no matter how much he tried. But really, it seemed impossibly cold here.
Unless he found shelter or could keep himself warm, he would pass out in 15 minutes.
OOC:
Frez Reality Conditions:
All who enter Frez automaticly gain superior traction on all frozen surfaces.
Also, at first, there is no resistance or immunity against Cold, but this will come, provided they can keep themselves warm long enough, but starting a fire without a high degree of magick is impossible, as the Reality activly supresses all forms of heat. Don't worry if he passes out, he won't die.

Yuezz wished he hadn't gone through the door.
Now all these other doors stood around him, seeming to becon. The Zombein reeled around to see how many there were, but they seemed infinite. One said something about Infinite ICE. Yuezz knew ice, his homeland was covered in it, made of it. He stepped in.
He was not to far away from Saacos. The Door disappeared behind them both.
His homeland may have been cold, but this Reality was at 200 Degrees below zero, and it was summer.

As he began to shiver, Saacon looked around...at nothing. It was ice, it was all ice. "O-ok. S-somb-body left the d-damn AC on. I've j-just gotta-FUCK IT'S COLD!" Jumping up and down for a few minutes to try and warm up, he set to work. He broke off a chuck of ice and started to dig with it. If he could make some sort of improvised igloo, he might survive a little longer. This makes me wish I was smoker he thought.

Finally Saacon had dug a more or less slanted hole in the ground. Shivering violently he squeezed into the openning and proceed to assume the fetal position, hugging himself for warmth. He would just have to wait and see what happened.
The net result was, that his Heat was conserved within him, but still, the cold was slowly sapping it away.
So, slowly sapping it away...
Time seemed to stand still. Nothing stirred.
The ground seemed to tremble, but that could have been the cold causing hallucinations.
It trembled again.
Closer.
CLOSER.
finally, he saw a Giant made entirely of snow pass over him and continue on its way.
It was further, away, further away, and it was gone. silence decended.
Then, something came sniffing around his hole. It growled. If he looked, he would have seen a bunch of snow wolves poised over his hole.
The sniffing stopped. The Wolf Howled, and it echoed accross the Realities landscape.

Well this is just fucking great, he thought. He slowly drew out a pair of knives with trembling hands and readied himself. He knew this would be difficult shaking the way he was. He had no intention of dying in this hole. He lunged up out of it, one blade cut a sweeping arc where he thought the throat would be while the other came in in over that arc in a stabbing motion where he thought the skull would be. All this while he attempted a roll that would put him back on his feet.
The Wolf died. By this point though, the whole pack was poised to attack. A single Gunshot in the air scattered them all.
If he turned around, he would see a vehicle like a jeep driving up to him It was covered , with a single man whose skin was blue standing in a whole in the roof.

Sheathing his knives, Saacon raised his hands. Even under the best conditions, it would be nearly impossible for him to dodge a bullet. And as cold and shivering as he was, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance at running away either.
The Jeep like Vehicle stopped 10 feet away.
"Unless you tell me who you are, and how you came to be here, I drop you where you stand. Don't even think of running or trying anything. The trigger is only a Hair breadth away from firing." The man said, his voice was gruff.

The man raised the gun, and took his finger off the trigger.
"I'm not saying I believe you, I'm not say I don't, but the fact remains I have heard this story before. I see you are unnaturally Cold. I see you are i'll equipped for a journey accross the Moors. All this leads me to suspect that there may be weight behind your story. Come, we will take you to The Ice Banshee. She is the most knowledgeable on this subject. In the mean time, Drink this, it'll warm you." He said. He tossed the man an orange collored drink. It was warm in his hands.
A door opened in the side, revealing more blue men, with more guns.
"Get in." The man said.

With a heavy sigh, and a quick glance over his shoulder, Chris followed the enchantingly beautiful girl into the portal. The portal felt as though made of a gelatine film, yet there was no sensation of wetness or dryness, just...a foreign sense. It was all over in a matter of moments. An he stepped into a large white room, with countless doors. In awe of the sheer scale, he looked for the girl, yet she was no where in sight. He heard her giggle, and took notice that it came from one of the doors.
"Is that you?" He called out. His voice echoing down the hallway. "Hello?" He continued to the door and extended his hand to almost touch the knob. Hesitating, as his body warned him of the possible reprocussions. He examined the door, which had a golden sign upon it, reading: Warworld.
"What the hell?" He said aloud. He opened the door, and walked in.
Beyond there, he suddenly realized he was outside. It was night, however there was enough light from the moon that he could make out his surroundings. Running a hand through his short dark blonde hair, he realized the temperature was warm. He looked behind him for the door, but was startled to realize that is was no where in sight.
"Wh...I just came from there!" he told himself in confusion. Looking ahead, he realized the moon was strange. It hung lower in the sky, and was much larger than he remembered it. "That's odd."
He continued walking. The temperate weather was more comforting than the usual climate of Wanderjar.
"I don't recall Wanderjar feeling like this at all." He said. Then he stopped. "It doesn't feel like Wanderjar, it doesn't look like Wanderjar," he said, noticing that the few trees which were standing were black. And the ground was hard, as if bombed numerous times. "Then maybe....it...isn't." This startled him. "How can I not be in Wanderjar? I didn't go anywhere else, I only....went through the portal with Lyn. That's it! The portal took me somewhere else! But where?" He was in process of thinking, then all hell broke loose. Gunfire erupted about a half mile from where he was, green tracers flying at a position to another even farther ahead. Explosions that shook the very ground beneath his feet rocked the area. He dropped to the ground, and stayed low, watching.
"Shit!" He whispered, afraid to notify anyone else with a gun who might be nearby to his presence. "I'm in a warzone!" He'd done enough soldiering as a conscript in the Wanderjarian Army, as part of his one year obligatory military service.
"I guess I'll have to just wait it out." He decided. As the bombings and tracers became more frequent and more violent, he became hypnotized by them, the beauty of the battle before him. He eventually was able to go to sleep.
OOC: There were more Godmods in that then i care to point out, Don't do that again, I was actually going to start you elsewhere on Warworld. i'll let it slide this once though.
IC: He had the unfortunate luck of walking into a fight between Warfather and Warmaster, the two most powerful Entitys in all of Warworld.
Their armies were shooting each other. Both sides shouted "Spy" and at least 13 Grenades came sailing his way.
During this, the other moon came up above the Horizon, going the opposite direction of the first.

Stanley looked incredulously at the door that had just opened in the middle of his apartment. How'd that crazy broad do that, he asked himself as he inspected the strange portal.
Going behind his desk, he retrieved his hat and coat, putting both on before retrieving his Tommy from the closet across the room. That's odd, he said as he looked back to where the door had been, it's gone. Walking back through where it should have been, he felt the hairs stand up on his neck like an electric charge passed through him. Turning, he saw the door again. It was evident that it only existed from one side.
Shrugging, he walked through it, his gun slung over his shoulder. Turning around, he saw the door close, and that the back was marked with a plaque. It read "20's World". He had no idea what that signified, but followed the sound of light footsteps diminishing into the distance.
As he followed them, he took stock of his surroundings. He was in a large white room, so large in fact that he couldn't see either side from where he stood. The only blemishes on the perfect whiteness were the doors, like the one he had come through just moments before.
He seemed to be catching up with that strange woman who had led him here in the first place. Finally, he caught sight of her foot disappearing through another one of the doors. He ran to it, opened it, and stepped through. He didn't even see the plate bearing its name; Warworld.

"We call our world Greshalda, and you are in the eternal Frez. This Region is the most sacred in all the Frez, for it was here that all ice peoples were born. It is the great city of Glassea. I am General Blacklash, the Cruel. Who are you?" Gen. Blacklash said.
As he spoke, the drove off the snow, and were riding over a sea that froze so quickly, Ice crystals didn't form, and as a result, the entire Sea was as Glass.
The Drink would warm him greatly.

It was Daylight here. There was a small village. It was quiet. Men worked the fields, women tended the house, and children cared for the animals.
Yet there was an underlying Tension, as though this peace and quiet might at any moment erupt.
Both Chris and Stanley would find at this point, that their Senses had sharpened greatly, and that they found themselves unable to trust anyone, or anything. ThenStanly would notice just how sharp those farmers tools were. Why were the women glancing at him like that. It felt as though something was being planned. An attack on him?

As he got close to either side, people would emerge in armor made of steel and chase him, until he got to far away.
If he kept going, soon the battle would be behind him, and he would see two tents, one on his left, one on his right. Both of them gave off an aura of fear. Both were Black. The ground was covered in green grass, and there were trees behind them. The moons cast every thing in crossing shadows.
There was a path down the middle, leading to a massive tower.

It was hard not to smirk at that name. "I am Saacon Nidalap. But just Saacon will do. I don't really like my last name."
Blacklash simply nodded.
The Vehicle stopped, and Saacon could feel it begin to slowly drop, like on an elevator.
"You a married man Saacon? Got a wife and three kids myself. We would not of known of you for several days, if it weren't for poor private Nalding down there. He has a wife as well. Their first Child is on the way. Yet he may not make it to see him live. The Fire Jinn found him. Nalding was on patrol in the far Reaches. The Gi-yeti attacked, which is not unusual, but it would not run away. Somethings controlling it. We chased it and found you. We know the Fire Jinn is involved. Nalding has sever fire damage. If it were not for this man's misfortune, you would be dead, eaten by the Snow wolves. You owe him your life, and so if Ice Banshee decides your okay, I charge you with a task, to repay this man your debt. Now enter her tower, and introduce yourself." Blacklash said. A heap on the floor moaned, and Blacklash moved to it.
The Jeep had been moving this whole time. The door opened, and Saacon found himself before a Palace made of Ice of many colors, all kinds of metals, and Rocks, Minerals and Gems. The Front Gates were wide open.
They were also, underground.

Stan was used to threats on his life, but never had one made him as anxious as this one did. His blood boiled in his veins, telling him to kill, kill, kill, lest he be killed instead. He manage to maintain control, and looked the old man in the eyes with his steely gaze.

OOC: A gunblade is both a Gun, and a Blade. I took it from FFVIII
It can fire like a Gun, but in Close Quarters, its also a Sword. Its the best of both worlds. If Chris doesn't come up with a miracle, he's in for a world of pain.

OOC: I hope this guy can't see in the dark....
Remembering his training, he realized his worst mistake could be to look in the way he planned to move. Therefore, as he readied his muscles to dive to his left, and out of Warmaster's tent entrance, he gave the being a hard look, making direct eye-contact. Then he moved, using his legs to explode out of the entrance into a roll, then began to sprint off, hoping to find refuge of some form in the Tower.
"I know I'm going to regret this!" He told himself, as he ran while praying the surely enraged Warmaster couldn't find him in the darkness.

Chris only jumped out of the frying pan, and into the fire.
Warmaster casually strolled along in the darkness in no real hurry.
When Chris entered the tower, the front gat closed down behind him, locking him in. The rest of the castle seemed dark, with dozens of good hiding spots readily availible. There was standered castle furniture scattered all about. Dressers here, Chairs there. The opening lead to a hallway that lead left and right. One way lead to a large door, the other turned left.

"I'm sorry, Dante's Reality was a few doors down. This is Frez, the Reality of Eternal Ice. I see you come from the NS verse. I am sure you would like to return home, but I'm afraid that's just not possible at the moment. The dark Priestess was here briefly, but she had to return to her master. Ther might be a way to return though, but it will take some effort, and time. So meanwhile, why do you not like my Reality. Can you not see the beauty in the Ice? is it because the Ice freezes you? I can take that away. I can adapt you to this Reality. it would make your stay much more pleasant." Came the voice from all around him. It sounded like a woman's voice.
He was in a Cathedral like part. A pair of stairs in the back lead the way to the rest of the chapel.
"Come on up. I haven't had anyone visit me in person for several hundred years. It gets to be so very lonely..." She said.
"Fine, I'm coming up."

"Fine, I'm coming up."
He found a long hall opening into a Throne room. on the throne carved from a single block of ice, sat a woman. He skin was as white as the driven snow. Her hair was Blue, with traces of gold. She was beautiful, and completly naked. When Clothes were invented, she never took to them. She sat on the throne in a lazy manner. Ice covered certain parts of her body.
"I am queen Ice Banshee. Ruler of frez. Welcome Saacom. Surprised I know your name, don't be. Jiralyn told me your name." She said. She got up, and walked over to Saacom.
"She didn't tell me how strong, or handsome you were though. No wonder she was considering you for her ritual." Ice Banshee said.
She touched his muscles. her very touch was as cold as the depths of winter itself. Yet, it was also pleasant, and left a tingling in saacom's arm, right at that very spot.
"I know you hate the cold of my world. The potion you drank was a temporary fix. Even now, the cold returns, to chill your veins. I have a much more permanete solution. I'm sure you would find it most pleasant. She said while eying him from head to toe.

As there was no time to turn back, he felt no choice but to brave the possible dangers which layed below, though as he decended, he swore he heard, within his mind, a calling for him. It soothed and bothered him similtanously.
As he decended, the stairs wound around a massive statue. It was Split in half, from head to toe. One side resembled Warmaster. If Chris had seen Warfather, he would find that's who the other half resembled.
The statue decended into the depths, but the stairs stopped and faced the head.
"Chris. I have called for you, and so you have come. The time is not yet ripe, but soon you shall find the solution." The Statue said. Its lips moving.

"I think I'll pass. No offense intended, but you're not...normal enough for me. How's about you tell how I get off this ice ball instead?"
"You'll know when the time comes." The statue said.
Both eyes opened, from one, a red energy beam came, from the other, a blue energy beam came. The hit Chris at the same time, pushing him off the platform, and into the darkness below.
He would awaken on a nice soft bed, covered in a nice soft blanket.
Nearby, a servant Harem Girl knelt, ready for orders. What would he want first, breakfast? clothes? The possibilieties were there.
He was in a tent. If he looked outside, he would find himself in the middle of a field. It was daylight out, and Farmers were working their fields, children were tending the animals, and women were in the houses.
A Suit of shiny steel armor stood in the corner of his tent. It held a basic Gunblade in its hands. It also had a Cloak, held in place by two medalions that resembled the statue. There was a shield with that staue design on it as well, but this time it was whole.
Chris would notice a new feeling of authority about him.
"I think I'll pass. No offense intended, but you're not...normal enough for me. How's about you tell how I get off this ice ball instead?"
She wrapped her arms around him.
"Ball? oh yes, this is no Ball, the Realm is as flat as what was that word? oh yes, Pancake. There is no boundry or edge, it just goes on forever, into the Great neverending Blizzard." She said.
Without warning, she snuck a Kiss.
It was a good one too. The Cold just completly vanished, with no signs of returning. In fact, it felt like summertime. It was still cold, but it was like summertime at the same time. Cold no longer effected him.
"Its a shame, imagine what would have happened if you had gone further. Anyways, I must research the way off. I am not nearly so skilled or knowledgeable about this as The Dark Priestess." She said.
"Meanwhile, explore the city, meet locals. Their not bad, even if all 80 billion of them are my Grandchildren, several times removed of course, over several hundred million years. I was the first woman." She said. She was that old, and yet looked no older and just as pretty as a 26 year old model from the Swedish Bikini Team? the concept was staggering.

Casting a glance to the armor, he noted that it was plate metal, something not used in his world. But it did look quite nice, shining as the sun gleamed upon it from the window.
"You did marvelously," He said with a kind smile. He began to fully stand out of bed, when he realized he lacked clothes. "And could I please get some clothes? Thank you."

She went over to a nearby trunk Pulled out a set of clothes that looked like they should go on a prophet. They were plain, and brown. They were thick enough to serve as padding for armor.
She set them down next to his bed, and began unfolding the pants. She went to begin dressing him too, pants first.

Nodding his head as he took another bite of bacon, he then asked, "Okay, then could you explain to me what exactly is Warworld? Who is Warmaster? Why is everyone fighting?"
"This goes back a long way, but I only know parts of it. Warworld, is actually have of a reality, Tranquility, another Reality, is the other Half,. It is a Balance. Warworld is a state of constant War, while Tranquility is a state of Constant Peace. warmaster is Ruler of the Warworld, while Father Rekshan, couldn't harm a fly if he had to. At one time, Warmaster, Warfather, and father Rekshan were all one entity. As was the Warworld and Tranqulity were bothy one Reality. It was a Reality of extremes, War, and Peace. Warmaster and Warfather were one and the same person, referred to only as War. The Reality was supposed to shift every thousand years from War to Peace. War ruled while The Reality was in a War state, and Father Rekshan ruled while Reality was in a Peace state. Both were somewhat good people, but War was sometiomes Questionable. So it went, for 10,000 years.
Then one day, an accident occured, war refused to let peace take over. War seperated from peace, and decreed that he was going to take over. In an effort to save his own life, Father Rekshan Seperated Reality, leaving Warmaster with half. This occured at the base of the great Statue, that knocked you into this part of Warworld. The Division was so great, that it split the statue down the middle, and because of this, War Divided, and Warfather emerged. Warfather is determined to subdue his darker half, and rejoin all things under his rule, but Warmaster is very strong indeed, and refuses to give up in any manner. If he loses, he simply creates another army.
I don't know how you are to fix the statue and heal Realities, but if you werre chosen, then so be it." She said.
By this point, breakfast was over, so she gathered them, and began to clean them.

Chris cocked the hammer on his blade, and aimed it at the Slaver. Then, when he was sure he had a clear shot, he squeezed the trigger.
The bullet pinged off his armor.
An Idea was inserted into his mind, from the statue he now served.
Greater Damage can be dealt, if you swing your sword, and fire as it hits.
Then, another.
Shoes are symbolic of time, figure out why for yourself.
Some are thoughts,
Some are words,
Some are actions, but are not words and actions all evolved forms of thought?
OOC: Literally, figure it out for yourself. There are powers. use the clues for your answer. you can ask Mialee for help.

Taking the advice of the voice, he charged towards the slaver. Then, he swung the blade, and immediatley once he made contact, he would fire.
The Slavor cracked his whip at the Gunblade, knocking it off its path, and making it miss.
If only Chris hd some way of speeding up time and moving faster, he might be able to avoid the whip and the speedy slavor.
The Slavor put one hand in a bag at his side, and brought out a fist in a steel Gauntlet, he went to punch and Dent Chris's Armor. He was surprisingly fast too.

He saw Red people fighting thhe Blue people. The Red people had powers of Flame. He got a chance to see outside. The Realities of Frez and Nova were at War. Ice Banshee walked over to Saacom.
"I can not promise your safety. Escape to Nova, if you wish to go home, the answer lies with the Fire Jinn. It was he who originally opened the gateway, it is he who has the potential to send you home. but Great heat abounds. You cannot survive without great power. I gift you with a copy of mine." She said.
She doubled up her fist and punched a Red man coming up beside him.
Then she put her forehand to his head, and the world went white.
When it cleared, he would have a new sense of power in him.
"The way to Nova is at the City's heart. Be safe." Ice banshee said,
OOC: War, war everywhere.
Wanderjar Regenus are on a diffrent Plot path. They must bring peace to Warworld.
You must unite Ice Banshee and Fire Jinn in love and matrimoney.
Atleast, that's how it starts out for everyone.
Your powers will simply be given to you by diffrent people under diffrent circumstances, however you must learn to control them, and along the way, your power will randomly act of its own accord, and sometimes not work. Goes with the territory. Ask any Wizard or Sorcerer. You now have the powers of Ice.
Saacon hadn't survived as long as he had by being stupid. Objective number one was to get the hell out of there. Objective number two was to eliminate as many targets of oppurtunity as possible. Grinning, he drew out a pair of long knives and twirled into the nearest fireman, ending the spin by planting both knives in a simultaneos downward strike. Tearing them out he spun in the opposite direction and sliced the thing's throat open. Up and down the corridirs and throughout the building he danced his blurring dance of steel and death.

He found himself, on a Castle, the walls were of a greenish Granite. It boasted Four towers on each of the walls, and many towers and spires in the castle itself. Stepping out of the way of the incoming whip as though he knew its course before it did, Stan raised his gun. Depressing the trigger, he let of several rounds into the man's chest before dodging back and retreating once more. He knew his advantage was range, and made full use of it. Retreating several more paces he was now far enough away that he had time to aim. Looking down the sights, he unleashed a burst at the Slaver's head.
They didn't really have helmets on, at least nothing that could protect from a bullet. The Slaver toppled over.

Stan looked around him to see a trademark sign of older armies: man to man combat. As it was, there wasn't much for him to do but take distance shots, which weren't very accurate with his Thompson. He saw the man he had almost collided with at the tent battling fiercely with another slaver, and raised his gun to his shoulder, aiming carefully...

Saacon openly smiled. Glancing around, he picked up a roughly baseball sized chunk of ice. Shouting "Watch this!" he threw it into the air as high as he could, appearing to follow it with his eyes. Hoping she was also looking at it and thus distracted, he charged. Running at a full sprint, he began throwing knives at her as soon as he was in range before closing and attempting to dropkick her in the face.
She melted the ice without taking her eyes off of him, She teleported away from the knives and his kick in a burtst of fire that exploded outwards.

The Blow missed, the Slaver grunted with Shock.
Mialee was frozen in fear. She wanted to help, but she always chocked with the fear of missing and harming an innocent, or not chosing the right spell and harming the enemy.
But, if you do not help, he will die.- a new voice inside her said.
But, what can I do? i'm just a house mage.- she asked herself.
As long as you think like that, you will never be anything more. Mistakes happen. Learn, get over it, and get better. now think, you were taught more than house magicks.- the voice responded.
Mialee thought, and arrived at the answer.
She raised her finger.
"DIE!" She screamed, and lightning shot from her finger to the Slaver. Steel conducts lightning cery well, and thus the Slaver got hit full blast. He was stunned, and fell to his knees, bringing his unprotected head level with Chris's normal standing heighth. What ever could Chris possibly do now?

OOC: There are three diffrent classifications of magick spells:
Offensive, like the Fire Flume.
Defensive, such as an Ice Sheild
Effect: This could effect and area, or a person in a non violent manner.
For you, simply think of it, and if you know the appropriate spell, it will happen. You know basic ice of all three types. You'll need to over the course of this, write your own spell book.

"Effing hot!" Saacon hopped from the heat. It wasn't really a concious thought that put the key into the lock in his mind, it was just a random thought that he wished the fire would go out. And it inexplicably did! Not bothering to wonder at his good fortune, he came up with a new plan. Whipping off his protective vest, he charged her again and swung it laterally with all his might.

On a rock, surrounded by burning lava for as far as the Eye can see.

"What is this nonsense about ice magic? Everyone knows magic isn't real, it's just something for the superstitious to be superstitious about." He glanced around. "Well, at least it was back home."

"The Infinite Nothing."
The door swung open with an ominus creak. Wind moved in the Reality beyond, but it moved in such a fashion, through various objects and orifices, that it sounded like a scream. The floor was Stone, and the room was sparsly furnished, but it was a mess. The table was upturned, the bed was destroyed, and a partially destroyed door hung on the hinges, wide open, revealing a similar hallway beyond.

He straightened, stopped trembling and gave her a disarming smile. Then he moved. His right arm was a blur as he drew a knife and swung it around in a move called Fang of Mighty Deceptions. It was a move with multiple endings, the question was, which bait would she take?
A pain in his back, things would go blurry, and then black.
He was hit in the back by a sleeping dart strong enough to outright kill an elephant.
For, Pyra's scream had one other secret effect, it summoned a nearby naval ship that was patrolling the Volcano.
They had seen Saacom going to attack her, and immediatly assumed the worst.
As he fainted, she whispered one thing in his ear.
"Sorry."
He would wake up in a jail cell, strapped to a table bolted to a ceiling.
He was completly relived of all clothing and items, and the onlything hiding his manhood was a sleev that ran around the middle section of the table. Pyra stood there, grinning for some odd reason.

I've never seen her before...the last time I saw her. And even if I had, she's in a state of more or less permenant combustion! I have no intention of frying myself, got it?" The whole while he was still trying to figure out what the bonds were made of.
Fire Jinn ripped him out of his bods, yet the fire did not harm Saacon.
"ARE YOU SAYING MY DAUGHTER ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!" He yelled.
The Fire Blazed and and and a stone melted to Lava and dripped down Fire Jinn.
Then he quenched the fire and removed the heat while laughing. Saacom found himself dressed in a red shirt, and red pants, both of which repelled temperature extremes.
"I'm just messing with you." Fire Jinn said with a laugh.
Pyra finally reverted to normal, without the fire.
"Now, see here. I need your help. You see, your the only one who can survive in both Realities. Your going to take this to Ice Banshee. Pyra finally convenced me to offer peaceful terms to Ice Banshee for her surrender." He said.

Oh, shit. Saacon was definately not comfortable with her coming along. Both her and the blue chick gave him a bad feeling. It was almost enough to make him swear off women entirely. Almost. "Well, let's step."

She stood up, and walked off.
Fire Jinn came over.
"Feel free to get all the ideas you want, even act on them, just don't let her kill you. Why, if you can actually tame her, I'll give you half the Realm. She's so fiercely independent that she's scared off every potential suitor. Just bring her back alive, or I will kill you. Anyways, go out the front gates down yon hallway, Pyra knows the way." "Da, mein commandant." Bring her back alive? As far as I can see her biggest threat is me and she's been one step ahead of me the whole time. And what look? Saacon mosied down the hallway, looking for Pyra and his gear.
"Its a long walk." She said, waiting outside the gates. She handed him hes gear.
"Its thatway." She said pointing at a rather large mountain in the distance, on the otherside of a plain that looked like it was on fire. Actually, it was just grass, but its color was like fire.
Loki's mind was racing. The different parts of it battled for dominance as someone cautioned him to stay in the safety of his mountain top home, while others pushed him forward to adventure. In the few short years that he lived, Loki had been on more treacherous and knowledge filled adventures than most people went through in a millennia of lifetimes. This opportunity in front of him was no different.
The door stood open ominously as Loki weighed his thoughts. It sat just a foot from the edge of the mountain as snow fell all around. Loki stood in the relative safety of his cave dwelling in which there was the warmth of the fire and the cover of the ceiling. His bright yellow eyes peered forth into the room beyond... a room of doors.
This looked like all the other journeys he had been on. They began with a step through space and time that launched him into a foreign and often strange world. There were dangers lurking around every corner and lessons to be learned at every turn. Gaining knowledge and understanding was key... that is why Loki traveled. But this wasn't going to be the same as all the others... now he had experience.
His foot crossed the threshold... and then his body followed. The door behind him closed on his world and the snow was gone from his sight. He had chosen the door that lay before him in the snow, and now there were ten more to choose...

(OOC: Sorry I took so long to post back, I was somewhat occupied else where)
IC: Pointing the gunblade to the slavers head, Chris said forcefully, "Who do you work for?"

The Label stopped. It read three words, words ominous enough to send people who knew what they ment into a panic.
"o...k.... not going that way." Zachius attempted to close the door, couldn't tell if it actually clicked shut or not, shruged, and set off down the hall way in a different direction. "guess i'll find a way back eventually. don't want Amandi getting Too worryed about me. heh. hardly the first time i've randomly vanished into a different world" he was muttering to himself, and not really paying attention to where he was going, beyond keeping track of the over all 'vibes' the place gave off. as a result, he wandered through a door without really looking at which one it was. all he really registered was that it didn't scream "you're dead!" on a fundimental level, and that it was open.
ooc: in other words, drop me in a world of your choice. he needs to fill some blank cards before he trys takeing on anywhere too dangerous though. the infinate nothing sounds a Little bit to dangerous just now. heh.

He shot a massive fireball at Stan, and then everything seemed to slow to a stop. The man with the sword began to glow green, and everything began moving, only this time he was moving 3 times faster than normal. He ran over to Chris and Mialee, aimed for Chris and swung for the Bleachers, intending to Cleave Chris completly in half.

Being a Gadget fan, this would be paradise unrestrained and unlimited. There was no natural Life, except for the people. It was all whipped out. He found himself looking at a Hologram of a tree. At its base were the words
"In Memory of a Real Tree."
It stood at the top of oone of the shorter buildings in the city, which only soared 10 miles up, and did not join with any others. Tubes ran every which way, and the sun was partially hidden behind what looked like a massive lens from an eye glass, reducing the the light by 25%
Far below people wandered the streets going this way, going that way. They were poor, and could not afford Hoverform boots. They were worn by the middle class, and zipped the pedistrians along.
Others were shooting through chutes at high speeds. Then hovercars ran through the bigger tubes. Being the smallest city in this plane, it was only three times the size of Tokyo, Japan, and had a human population of nearly 3 Billion, and an Cybernetic population of almost 1 Billion.
A Bill Board noticed him and came on over. It broadcast a commercial at him.

"Gaia..." It was a familiar name. One he had most certainly heard before. He walked over to the door and peered through. Why not? Once again, he crossed the threshold of the mysterious door and entered a new world...
In the Realm known as The Real World, and even in Places in the NS Realm, there were trees known as Giant Redwoods. These Trees lived for over a thousand years and rose thousands of feet into the air. They got so thick, that man simply carved their roads through them.
Compared to the tree Loki found himself in, that was rather small.
The Tree he was in, seemed to stretch as far as Loki's mind could possible imagine in every direction. The Leaves were big and broad enough to Kill Loki simply by falling on him and smothering him to death. Flowers of all kinds blossomed and bloomed. It seemed he was near the trunk, and the bark made a natural sort of pathway up and down. The Branch he was on was bigh and broad, almost as broad as the state of Rhode Island. Of course, Loki was near the top, so the branches would be kinda small.
Yet, despite all the greenery, and all the beauty, something felt amiss.
This was green, yet of Loki ventured up, he would find winter, and if he ventered dorn, he would find Fall. It was as if the Four seasons were battling for supreme dominance.
Also, Loki could hear birds talking towards the top. Not chirping, talking, in English.
Coming from the bottom, Loki could smell something delicous being roasted.
Keonovich followed quickly, these guys seemed alright, give them a P201 and they could be fantastic....
The Guards lead him into the castle. It was big alright, and surprisingly modern.
Guards with normal guns, like one might find anywhere roamed the halls, in full armor.
Further on, it got more futureistic, and they carried far more advanced weapons.
Then there was Warfather himself.
His Great Gold blond Beard fell into long breads over his polished silver armor. His hair was neatly kept, and a Red Cloak was at his back. Fastening the cloak to his armor, were to buttons with Tigers on them. His Gunblade sat at his side.
Next to him, was a Wizard in the plainest robes one could possibly imagine. They were white, and had many many pockets. The Wizard leaned upon a Staff.
"And who is this good man that you bring before me?" Warfather asked in a cheery manner.
"We don't know sire, he just appeared out of nowhere." The guards said.
"Well then good man, introduce yourself, who are you, and why do you visit my castle?" Warfather said.
Saacon sat down on the ground. "Hang on a sec." He proceeded to pull his original gear on over the *shudder* bright red clothing. "Well, it works diffrently for each person, and it varys based upon who they are, and where their from. You like fighting hand to hand, I wouldn't be surprised if your powers manifested in a similar way. There's a lot to cover, but the basics are as follows:
There is a massive field of energy that seems to cover each Reality, the only exception is The Infinite Nothing, but no one has EVER returned from there, so we don't actually know for sure. In each living being, there is the possibility to draw upon this energy and work great things. Magick users use to craft their magick, Psions use it for their mind powers, Paladins and other beings of great faith manipulate it through prayer and faith, and the gods simply manipulate it by strength of will alone. EVERYONE can do this, even those without power, for when many people gather, and pray for the same thing, it is like casting a spell, only it is done through their combined faith and their God's strength.
But even non Magickal people's can manipulate it by themselves, Miracles happen all the time.
Now, there are many diffrent styles, but you have to will something to happen, and have the power to manipulate magick. How much you can manipulate depends on the strength of your spirit. I see you have weak powers, your spirit, while strong physicly, is weak magickly, and therefore you can only manipulate a small amount of the Mana Fields at any one time. Be careful though, overeach your strength, and you'll also expend your own Life energies.
Practice however, makes perfect. When we camp for the night, I'll teach you the proper Method of meditation to simply get intouch with your inner spirit, and teach you more about your powers, as they might manigfest. But I need to see more from you before I see the path for sure." Pyra said.

Still, all in all, this was a strange world Loki had walked into. Something smelled quite delectable, but he had just eaten a few minutes before he left for this new world. He had roasted a little food over the fire that he created in the center of his home.

Dropping onto his back, the blade crossed right of him, in a moment, there was a moment where the big man had exposed himself. Chris thrust his gunblade upwards...
"Gah!" The man said.
He took a flask out of his pocket, and drank it. His wounds closed.
The man stood up, and cast Bolt Fist at Chris.
They were birds, yes, but they were big. They were of an indeterminate species.
"And I told her not to fly over there, those flowers make her look fat." One said.
Then they noticed Loki.
"Oh, hello there, what are you, A blueberry?" One asked.
A blueberry?
"Umm... no... no, I am not," Loki said, unsure of why the large bird creature would think he was a berry.
"My name is Loki." He adjusted his hat a couple of times as he often did when he was nervous or was trying to build up his confidence.

The Billl board became a map of the city. It was built in circles, getting smaller until at the center, a massive tower disappeared into the sky.
Zachus could see it, even from here. Energy was always traveling upwards.
On the map, the Library was near that tower.
Then it backed off, going over a stairway down.
"all right then..." hopefully his normaly good sense of direction would not fail him. while he was very good at reading and following maps, at memorizeing them he was borderline hopeless. still, the tower was nice and obvious, so it was kind of hard to miss where he was trying to be by very much.
adjusting the strap that held his halbard to his back, he set off for the library. hopefully he could get a feel for the world he was in without haveing spikey objects stuck into him. avoiding spikey objects was good, almost with out fail. they tended to hurt, for one thing. well, unless they were realy, realy hot and sudden and flukey. hadn't hurt a bit when he'd lost his eye, for example.
He was unnoticed by except billvoards on his way. He saw commercials for everything. Body mods of all kinds, clothing for both men, and women, vehicels, everything.
However, there was something following him.
Way up in the sky, there was a little Triangular machine following him.
Subject: Unidentified humanoid.
Chip: None Detected.
Status: Possible Criminal Threat.
Action: Capture.
It decended and blocked his path.
"Cease your Criminal activites. Billboard number 3589524178 has alerted us you do not have a chip, after you declined its invite to swith chips to the library. Declining the offer in and of itself is not a crime, but it scanned for your chip so it could alter programming, and found none. Not being chipped is an offense punishable by immediate Death. You are Guilty until proven innocent. Please hold still while I take you into custody." It said. A little blue eye began to glow.

What Loki actually was, was a question for debate. It wasn't clear one way or another, but he decided to give them a simple answer. "I'm a black mage..."
"This yellow thing," he continued as he touched both of his hands to his hat, "Is my hat. And the blue thing is my jacket."

"well, that's not cool" Zachius ducked down and to his right, spinning, and comeing back up with his halbard in a ready grip, already part way through it's arc from his spin. angleing it's concave blade, he slammed the robot in such a way that it's it's point would, in theory, lodge in the ground. continueing his spin so that he was facing to the right of his original course, he took off running, not bothering to check if he'd actually managed to destroy or disable the thing, dodgeing and weaving as he did, and re slinging his halbard in favour of his rifle, which he loaded with standard rounds, not figureing the murcury or burst shot to be much good against robots.
'this may be a bad idea. being dead's a worse one' he thought as he ducked around a corner.

"Intresting, but your blue, wouldn't that make you a Blue mage? and what is a mage anyway?" asked the first.
The second looked over her shoulder.
"Oh dear, here comes the vulture people again."
"Oh well, we better run. Its easier then swearing allegence to the Vulture Rebellion against the Order of the Bird Peoples. tata."
The two flew away.
Then coming down the stairs, were four people, they looked like men, but they looked like Vultures. They were Vulturemen, and they had spears.
They spotted Loki
"Who are you, and to whom do you swear allegience, Black Mage. Answer quickly, answer correctly, and you live to see another day, otherwise, you die now." One said.
Then all four charged, intending to kill him anyway.

The thing shot a little tiny chip that attached itself to the outside of hit clothes, noiselessly, and without anyweght. It protrouded a needle to begin implanting Tracking nanites in his blood.
Meanwhile, a soundless alarm went out.
Criminal activity detected in sector G-28, Seek and Destroy on sight.
But that was before an arm whipped out and pulled him into a little room, closing the door behind him.
It was a mean looking man, who ripped the chip off and threw it to a thin nerdy looking man in the corner. The man put the chip on a plate and began anaylising it.
"You is jes lucky we found you before they hunted you down. Outsiders like yerself shouldn't be hunted for not having a chip. Somthin fishy's goin on here. Loki was about to re-explain that he wasn't actually blue and that it was only his jacket as well as explain what a mage was (to the best of his ability), but then he heard a flutter of wings and the birds were gone.
A new voice greeted him from behind. This one was deep sounding and had a threatening tone to it. They didn't seem like nice 'people' at all, especially after the way they spoke to him. The one who had first made contact was spewing off a threatening remark that Loki couldn't understand beyond the fact that he would die if he failed to answer properly.
Luckily, he was saved from answering... by the vulturemen charging him.
At one point in his young life, he might have cowered or attempted to run away, but now he knew better. He had to face his adversaries and show no fear. As they closed in, small red spheres of light began forming in his gloved palms. In no time at all, the black mage was firing off the fireballs in at the incoming hostiles...

Pyra had been teleporting away from Jiralyn.
Jiralyn took it as an attack on her, and cast a highl evel spell on him.
It was known as Death's Grip.
Saacom's life energies began slipping out of him. He was dying slowly. But before he actually died, she released hm, leaving him devoid of all energy, only just enough to kneel, nothing else.
"Now, little Child. The next time you think about attacking your betters, I would suggest you think twice. Now I came to deliver you and your girlfriend a warning. Almighty Kajeenith has been watching you. Kajeenith is far from pleased. You were allowed to cross realities so you could interfer and make things better. You were allowed to cross only to observe what other places are like. Continue to interfere, and I will return, and next time I WILL NOT BE NICE. These were just regular vulturemen, they fell off the tree. The fell for a long long time. Loki would never hear them hit bottom.
"Hello?" Came a meek little voice from up the tree.
"Someone there? free me, please." The voice said. It sounded weak, and it sounded like it was dying.

Pyra came over, and began tending to his wounds. Then she lay down beside him, and held him protectivly. Flame enveloped them both, restoring his energy faster, but it did not harm him, or his belongings.

"That's just it though. Aramelin was a great Scientist and Wizard, he shouldn't have just, quietly slipped away, wasn't that kind of guy, kinda out of character for him. but, he Built a son, a replacement. Idealy, The Grand AI is Abramelin, unswayed by the complications of emotion. It was a grand leader. Everything was done logicly, and in order, Abramelin, he kinda jumped around. No one knows where, but we think he's trapped in Central Processro United, an all Andorid city, and the capital of Technus. After he disappeared, no trace, no explaination, the AI, well, it seemed okay for awhile, but then it made wacky laws, like the chip identification system, and those creepy damn billboards that follow you around with advertisements all day long. Or the no weaponry for non-andorid non military personel. Then it hacked down Abramelin's wild world preserve, and built this place on top of it. Rumor's are goin around that somethin's controling the AI, the same something that made Abramelin disappear. But, the only entity that could do that, would have to be the legendary God of nothing, but, heh, he's jes a fairytale. to be honest, from what you've told me, it sounds like a logical extention of the machines original designe. it wouldn't take an outside force or a bug to do that, simply failure to take into account the difference between logic and sanity when it was first created.

Soon he found the source of the voice trapped in a wooden cage. The young mage ran over to where she meakly sat and began pulling on the bars of the cage. Unfortunately, they were to strongly built and he was to weak.
"Back up as far as you can... I am going to try something." He couldn't risk lighting th cage on fire, so he decided to see if he could weaken it. In a moment, a strong current of water flew from his hands and hit the cage powerfully. There was a chance that it would break it, but there was also the possibility that the wood would become so soggy he could just pull it apart.

"very useful to know these things." Zachius tucked the card into one of the many inner pocekts of his coat, then set about studing the map, tuneing out what was going on around him beyond a basic sence of threats or lack there of. The water hit the cge, yes, and it also hit the merwoman. The cage snapped open, but she couldn't move, she was still weak, but the water had a world of diffrence, she seemed stronger, a little.
After the cage snapped open, Loki stood waiting for the merwoman to crawl out. However, when she did not seem able to move herself, Loki walked in and crouched down. "Do you need anything?" he asked, wondering if there was someway he could help her - not that he had any medical skills or abilities.
"Water, lots of water. I come from the great ocean of The Lake, it is a fresh water lake, no salt. If only I could get stronger, I could transmute into a land person." she said.
"No problem..." Loki said as he stood up from his crouched position and took a couple of steps backwards. He adjusted his clothing and hat one time before readying the spells.
Once again, the blue glow of energy appeared in his hands and then flowed out towards the merwoman - though this time it was gentler.
She seemed to glow slightly under the water.
then she really did glow, and her tail seperated into two legs, and her scales became a shimmering dress. She had green hair and light blue skin.
She walked over to Loki with grace.
"Lets get away from the bird kingdom, my cousins the elf people live in the lower branches." She said.
"Elves!" Loki exclaimed excitedly. He had always liked the elves he met... except for the strange dark and evil ones.
"Okay... let's go," he said as he walked out of the cage and waited for her to lead the way. "By the way... I'm Loki."

Pyra came over, and began tending to his wounds. Then she lay down beside him, and held him protectivly. Flame enveloped them both, restoring his energy faster, but it did not harm him, or his belongings.
After awhile Saacon began the long trek back towards conciousness. At first the only thing he could focus on was how bright it was, until he realized it was fire. At that point, he freaked out and instincts took over. He jumped up and dove into a roll, attempting to put out the fire that was covering him.

Someone in the kitchen shouted something. Soon, a Club sandwich and a bottle of genuine Mountain Don't was set before him, while others packed everything, cleaned everything and generally, got ready to go.

She stood up.
"Are you okay?" She asked, genuine concern riding on her voice.
OOC: Why does he keep trying to kill her?

OOC: Have you met many specops people? They tend to act that way. They aren't exactly...rational. He's not actively trying to kill her, it just happens that way.
Once he realized he wasn't on fire, he got to his feet. "Yeah," he said sheepishly, "I'm okay. Who was that woman? For that matter who is Kajeenith? I tried the majiky thing and I couldn't even get close to her. How could that old woman have a faster reaction time than me?"

"Awright, everybody scatter, you know where to go. Zachius you with me, Sorcero, and H4Xor." Jack said.
They went outside casual as could be. A police cube went by.
"Morning officer." Jack said.
"Morning General Offline. Serve and protect." It said, and it went around a computer and was gone.
"So any objections to the footway?" Jack asked.

Loki was too young to remember his parents when they died, and so he could not answer the question literally, but for the sake of easiness he answered with his common response, "I'm a black mage."

"You have answered your own question, partly. But, she's just a fairytale, a rumor. They all say she's the servent of the Legendary God who opposes all things that exist. But that's impossible, necause then he would be the God of Nothing and nothing doesn't exist, yet plainly he does, and nothing can't be nothing and exist because it would be something and, I think I just confused myself."
"Anyways, with as long as she's had to train, to live, her skills in magick are incomparable. The stories all say she she has enough power and enough skill to threaten even Gods." Pyra said.
Seconds later.
"You wanna camp her, or move on?" She asked.

In reality, the branch simply ended, and there ws no path at these heights down to the next. Arie plucked one of the Giant leaves folded it neatly into a Parachute, and jumped. The Leaf boomed out, and she drifted slowly on down.

"Well, that would depend, when you fight, physivly, do you prefer to get in close and fight your opponets hand to hand, or do you prefer to stand off and shoot them? I ask, because the answer will decide just what exactly I teach you. Why for example, teach you of powerful spells that you shoot, when you would never use, likewise, why teach spells that would enhance your physical assests, for better fighting, when you would never use them? You will learn some of both paths, yes, for they both have the same roots. But your answer will define your path." She said, walking towards the great big mountain in the distance.

He shook his head "I guess for now we try ranged and see what happens. I'd be happier if I could close but range will have to do."

He couldn't believe she would do it, but he watched her jump off the edge with a giant leaf gripped above her. I can't do that! he thought. The idea of jumping off the edge and having to hold on to a leaf was frightening, but eventually he worked up the courage to do so.

Laughter erupted from the bushes, in hidden places in the tree, all around them.
"Who's there?" Arie called.

He had to be nearly 8 ft in heighth. He also had a crown.

"Troubling, troubling indeed." Wilhelm said.
He walked to Loki.
"As Prince of this tree, allow me to thank you heartily, Sir Loki." Wilhelm said.

She gently took his hands. saacom could feel just how strong her spirit really was. She showed him how to nfeel everything, and then, she slowly ignored the individual elements, finding the common things, until finally, there was nothing, but the Mana field.
"Now, reach out, with your spirit, and pull the enrgy of the many field into yourself, you can only hold so mech, but with time, and practice, you will grow stronger, and will be able to hold more, do more. Do not let this anger you, for when dealing with magick, Anger only leads to0 your own destruction." she said.
Then she released him, and everything came flooding back.
"Now. Think upon what just happened. They say walking helps with thinking. We still got three more hours before sundown." Pyra said.

"Oh... well, I didn't really think about that, nor did I know where we were going," Loki responded as he thought about what she had said. Theoretically, he could have teleported there, but it wasn't the easiest thing to do and he had no idea of the location where he would be arriving - a necessity for him to complete the spell without harm done. As he continued to think about it, there could have been other less... frightening ways of making it down, such as riding a giant leaf (instead of clutching on for dear life) and summoning a gust of wind to lower him gently. It didn't matter now though. He was there and that was that.
This Wilhelm that Arie introduced him to, was a giant in comparison to most other elves he had known; all except for a couple, including the one who was even larger than the one presently. Wilhelm was well over double Loki's size, though not if one included the mage's oversized hat in the comparison.
"Umm... yeah... no problem," Loki said, tripping over his words (rather than an object as he usually did) as he brushed the ground with his right foot.

"So come, tell me in full detail, how you came to rescue the mermaid princess, fair cousin to the Elven princes of the trees." Wilhelm said.
Loki wondered how far back he should go, but eventually decided to just tell the elven giant about what happened when arrived. "Well, I was walking up the tree when I met a pair of birds. We began talking, but they flew away, scared of the vulturemen." He paused for a second to adjust his hat before returning his gaze towards the elf. "Then these four vulturemen appeared and asked me something that I didn't fully get. Before I had time to think about what they said, they charged me. I didn't want to, but I had to defend myself."
He then looked at Arie, skipping the details of the short lived fight. "Then I heard her voice from up the tree. When I eventually found my way to its source, I found her in a cage. After breaking the cage open, I gave her some water and then we came down here."

"Well, let me go back. Five hundred years ago, Mother Gaia went into a deep restive state. She does this every few thousand years. And it usually lasts for one hundred years. Mother Gaia always leaves in her wake, four Oracles, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. They are charged with the task of keeping everything running. Last time, they rebelled. They chose to lock Gaia in her restive state, and take over, permanetly, and things were fine, for awhile. Everything still ran normaly. But then they got greedy, and each thought herself better than the other three oracles, so they warred against each other, for the most part, it was kept behind the scenes, but then, ten yars ago, they began to over ride each others seasons. We've barely managed to survive these last ten years. Once, the elven race spread all throught the great wooded acre, and I would have been king of this tree, instead of a prince, however five years ago, High King Archon died. Now, the clans have all sided with a diffrent season, and make war upon each other, We are the last of the truely neutral clans. Daily we are raveged by sudden changes of season, yesterday was winter, but fall gains strength, and tomorrow may actually be summer. Its not just in the Forest The Mountain dwarfs suffer, as do the Mermaids of the Lake. There was hope against the tide, Gaia's Champion, Druidess, the disciple of Gaia. She was the only one who could undo the damage by the sudden changes. Last weak she suddenly disappeared, and now the Vulture folk rebel against Good King Eagle. They live in the tree tops, forming the mighty Sky Dominion. we have no hope now. I fear all shall slowly spiral into death. Unless, unless that is Druidess were to be found. She knew of a way to revive Gaia and bring order to the seasons, but could not do it alone. It took her four-hundred years to find it, but by then, the Clans had all sided, as had the Dwarven folk, and some of the lake folk. Even the Bird Peoples of the Sky Dominion had become unfriendly, and none would help her. Sir Loki, if you value your own life, you shall depart from whence you came, and forget this world ever existed." Wilhelm said.

Pyra suddenly leaped backwards, and brought her staff up. Running at them, was a woman physicly made of fire.
"Ice hurts fire, fire melts ice, yet they are opposite ends of the same element. Heat. You can stack more and more heat on, and make things unbearably hot, even for the fire Children, but you can only remove so much heat. Cold really isn't its own element, its just the absence of heat. She is Fire, you are ice. I will assist you, but this fight is yours, not that I couldn't defeat her myself. However, you wouldn't really learn anything that way." She said.

Accepting the blow, Saacon retaliated with a vicious chain of his own. Grabbing the extended arm in Pull of Three Bulls, he flowed into Boastful Horse's Throw, launching the flame-woman into the air. She Exploded into a sheet of flame sending saacom skywards. Pyra slowed his decent so that he could land safely on his feet if he so choose. Then she wacked the flame woman behind the head.
OOC: Pull of three bulls? What do those things actually mean?
"Well, there may be something, will you come with me?" Wilhelm asked.
Loki nodded quickly, which unfortunately made his oversized hat fall forward and cover his eyes. After a moment of readjusting his hat so that he could see, he followed by Wilhelm to wherever he was being lead.
Loki nodded quickly, which unfortunately made his oversized hat fall forward and cover his eyes. After a moment of readjusting his hat so that he could see, he followed by Wilhelm to wherever he was being lead.
Wilhelm walked into a door carved into the tree. Inside the tree was a wonderful palace. He walked upstais and down stairs, through doors and around hallways, until he reached a Steel door. It opened at his touch.
He pulled an old map off the table.
It was a Map of Gaia.
"First, we think Druidess still lives. But you must fight through Winter to get to her, The last known spot, was some 500,000 miles to the east, deep in the heart of the winter clan." Wilhelm said.
Loki followed behind Wilhelm, trying to keep up to the massive strides of the elf with his very small ones (even not in comparison). It didn't help that he tripped a couple of times, forcing him to take the time to adjust his clothes and hat and get moving again.
Eventually they stopped and Wilhelm removed a map...
"Five hundred thousand miles!!!" Loki exclaimed. "I will never be able to get there. That could take a million years."
"I thought you were a Black mage Loki. You mean you don't have magick to speed the journey?" Arie asked from behind Loki.
"It does not matter, The usual transport is down, we will activate the ancient gate." Wilhelm said,
"Not really," Loki admitted. "I could teleport from here to there (not far distances), but that would be extremely draining and would still take years."
"What does the ancient gate do?"

Emma Grace Frost, better known as the White Queen to a few others, was bored. Like the other's of her group, she was being instructed in how to use the powers she had. While not as advanced as some in their training, she had uncovered enough powers that she felt like trying what was essentially a live-fire trial-by-fire run in the field. Those doing the instruction did not receprocate(sp?) her feelings on the matter and denied her requests.
Thus, she was pacing in her quarters trying to figure out a way to get past security and get some practice in the field done. She could do a 'Jump', but she knew she wasn't skilled enough to do one that the others would be unable to detect and trace.
This pacing and thinking took up a rather hefty chunk of her free time for almost a week when the 'door' appeared in the middle of her quarters. Sensing almost instinctively that this was her chance to get out, she grabbed her scepter, staff, wand, a few other items she thought she would need before opening the door and stepping through.
On the other side, she was surprised to find herself in a 'chamber' of infinite dimensions. Closing the door behind her, she left a magickal marker she would be able to detect so she could find her way back later.
Hearing the noise of footsteps, she looked up and spotted motion in the distance. Instead of wasting energy and running after the figure, she marked the general direction in her memory and set off at a lesierly(sp?) pace.
OOC: Going to pick an out door in next post.

"yes, we're "Walking", and yes, it is all in the card, LT. COL Offline." Zachius said with a laugh.
He led them to a tunnel, walked into it, and was promptly sucked through it like liquid through a straw. He walked to move faster.
"well.. that's disturbing... " Zachius did up his coat, which was a rarity in it's own right, to prevent anything escapeing his pockets if this tube made use of suction rather than some other weirdness. "ahh well. one does not discover new lands without leaveing the shore." and with that, he too entered the tube.
OOC: ack. this may be going exactly how you want it to, but i almost don't need to post anything. perhaps the next one could lead to something that actually required my input? it'd be nice. then again, you're the boss *shrugity*

IC: As Saacon alighted, his mind was working overtime. Alright, just lowering the temperature doesn't work. What else can I do? Saacon decided to try what he saw as a shortcut: instead of focusing on the required action, he would focus on the intended result. Launching himself at the woman again, his extended fist led the way in Thrust of the Moon, and as he connected, he used the contact point for reference and focused on the wind-scoured ice plains of Frez. He pictured them being contained within the flame-woman, the plains were the one place he knew where fire didn;t seem to exist.

"Teleports people long distances without being draining. We have other methods, but at the moment, thay aren't safe, all things considered." Wilhelm said.
"Besides, Loki, your the only magick user in the entire tree." Arie said.

She was faced with many doors everywhere she turned.
Frez, Nova, technus. One door seemed to practicly scream challenge. This door lead to the infinte nothing. It was open, with the sound of the footsteps retreating inside.

The pipe pulled at him like a tractor beem towing a starship. It went through the city, until it deposited them near the great piller.
"H4Xor go see about a vehicle." Jack Said.
H4xor left.
Then, he stepped out.
He was made of metal, carried Four swords made of energy, and had two cannons on his shoulders.
"Well, well, well. If i isn't the Offline rebels. Its been what, three days now since I destroyed your base?" the man asked.
"Grevious, leave us alone. Our affairs are none of your business." Jack said.
"Oh, but it is. As head of the Military Police, chasing down rouge soldiers is my business. Your wanted for a few Questions. Ah, who's this. Private NOOB?" Grevious asked indicating Zachius with a sneer.

Saacom was trying to do something beyond his current powers. The results were disapointing. She did freeze, but for a moment.
"Focus! Draw an image in your mind of what you want. I can make a ball of fire, surely you can make a ball or some other such object of ice. It is but the basicks of magick." Pyra said.
She made a ball of fire. Saacom could actually feel how she di it, know how she did it. But, would he heed her advice and try it.
Fire woman shook her self, and began drawing in massive amounts of energy.

Fire woman shook her self, and began drawing in massive amounts of energy.
Trying to think quickly, Saacon tried the simple approach: he attempted to conjure up a dense, blunt object and bash the woman's face in. It would take to long to do it one at a time, so he tried to multitask and do both at the same time. As he pulled back his arm he bagan to form the picture in his mind: a hammer or cinder block, even a rock so long as it was heavy. Then he focused during his downswing. He swung as hard as he could so that if he failed to conjure anything he might just crack her head by himself. The question was now would it work?

"Besides, Loki, your the only magickk user in the entire tree." Arie said.
"The entire tree?" Loki said, amazed at the thought of it. If there was a distance of 500,000 miles to be traveled, then the tree itself must be much larger. He wondered how many beings there actually were in the tree.
Originally, when he had first found out he could do magick, he knew of only a few people who possessed the abilities. However, as he journeyed across the world, he found more and more people and found it wasn't as rare as he had first perceived it to be. Much to his surprise, he had found out that there were entire civilizations and peoples that were all magick users. Now to be the only one in a massive world that could perform magick... that was something else.

The Fire woman died.
Pyra applauded.
"Perhaps, we should camp up here tonight, before wandering down into the valley." She said.

"Its only 1,000 miles top to bottom, 769 miles at its widest point. Besides, most of my magick users i booted for trying to sway me to one season's side. I will NOT betray Gaia." Wilhelm said,
He went to another room.
"So, tell me about your family." Arie asked while Wilhelm was gathering tools to activate the Gate system.

Saacon blinked. "Yeah...sure." He slowly heaved himself to his feet. He realized he didn't know how the woman died. Did it work or had he just smashed her skull with brute force?
Whether or not the subject should have been a sensititive one, Loki never knew how to react when someone brought up family.
"My parents died when I was too young to remember," he finally said after a long silent moment. "Or so they tell me."
Saacon blinked. "Yeah...sure." He slowly heaved himself to his feet. He realized he didn't know how the woman died. Did it work or had he just smashed her skull with brute force?
"You have the talent for warmagick. I saw it, a great big ole chunk of ice put her out while smashing her skull in.
Now, I'll set the camp up, you go get some wood. I spotted a whole bushel of dry wood back there before the woman jumped us. Then, I'll teach you how to use your power effectivly." Pyra said.
