"I see," Eric stated, "I can tell you I felt the same way whenever I was going to marry Jamila, I thought oh great now I'll have to be all propper and stuff. However, although it may seem like that for now, I can tell you that it gets more easy as time goes by."

"Thanks for those encouraging words. I don't really think the political scene is for me though. I do enjoy helping people but the stress is overwhelming. That's why I'm dropping out of it after Prime Minister Dante's term expires next year. The party'll probably ask me to run but I'll decline. I'll say I'm too young and inexperienced, which is partly true." Atticus replied, he was happy for jamila and Eric, they seemed a happy couple. Then he woundered how Lehana was doing.

"I'm back," Lehana said as her and the three main advisors walked behind her.
"Well Darius, you wanted to meet some of my advisors so here they are. This is Margo, Olina, and Saweta."
As she said there names, she pointed out the three other women, "All of you, this is Darius."
"Atticus," Lehana turned her attention back towards the young man, "I need to speak with you about something urgent."
"Your majesty," Saweta spoke, "I don't think it's nice of you to leave your other suitors."
"I need to tell something to Atticus in private," Lehana said, "It's about his country. I'll be right back."

"Sure" Atticus replied "It was nice talking to you, Jamila and Eric" and he got up and followed Lehana.

OCC: Just made this post because I didn't want my post number to be 666 for very long. My locker number at school is 1313 and I don't need any bad luck.

Darius looked at the Queen's advisors and said ''Peace be with you. I am Darius Pahlavi of the nation of Zoroastrian Persia. It is an honor to meet the advisors of Her Majesty.'' He bowed respectfully and then said ''Advisors of the Queen, perhaps we could talk about something? I would like to get to know your all better.''

(Woh cool..1313 that's cool..hope nothing bad happens)

IC:
Lehana walked away with Atticus following. With one backwards glance she walked out of the room into the hallway. The queen kept walking until the noise of the party had died down and she saw no one in the hallways.
"Are you having a nice time? You can be honest.."
Lehana asked, leaning against a wall;

"I've enjoyed dancing with you, talking to your sister and her husband, and the food is delicious. Are you having as good time?" Atticus asked.

OCC: Nothing's bad happened yet. Another twist of fate was that our graduation was going to be on June 6th which would make the date 6-6-06. Luckily they changed the day. I'll be able to walk across the stage without fear of the comeing of Satan.

Saweta smiled at Darius, "What would like to speak about? If you have any questions, please ask and we'll answer whatever it is."
"Yes," Jamila spoke up, "Saweta is good at talking."
Eric wanted to laugh but surpressed it by clearing his throat;

''Miss Saweta, I would like to talk about Tarayshia. What is this nation like? Can you tell me of its history, culture and the such? I would like to know more about the country of the Queen whom I have talked to.'' Darius asked.

Lehana sighed, "It's alright;not bad. Darius seems nice, but well; I don't know. I really just don't know, what are your thoughts?"
Then she quickly aded, "Not that you're into men or anything..."
She laughed;

Atticus laughed "I think he's the typical aristocrate." he replied "But of course, I haven't been the one talking with him so I wouldn't know much other than that."

Saweta smiled, "The history of Tarayshia is actually more simple than most countries. Lehana's family gained power about 200 years ago after a civil war had torn the country apart. It had been ruled by a king at first, however when he had died his wife had taken over. The then, "Kingdom," had done so well under the queen rather than under her husband that the people decided from then on all daughters of the queen would become queen instead of just princesses."

"True," Lehana said, "You know I lied to get you out here."

Darius listened to the story and said ''That seems like a interesting story, especially the parts on sucession from Mother to Daughter, I have no problems with that at all. The rest of the story was also interesting, Miss Saweta. Thank you for telling me it.'' Then he took a drink from his glass and said ''Perhaps you could show me around the palace or something? To get to know things better.''

"For a moment I thought you were goin' to tell me my homeland blew up or something" he laughed "Then what is it you wanted to talk about?" he asked. Atticus looked her in the eyes.

"Nothing really," Lehana said, "I just wanted to slip away for a moment and for a moment not act formal."

''I don't blame you. I'm not a fan of formal functions". Atticus replied.

Margo spoke next, "Well, what can we show you? Do you have any other questions or thoughts? With all three of us plus Jamila if you want to know anything concerning our nation and Lehana you can feel free to ask."

"Yeah I know," Lehana said as she smiled, "But if it makes you feel better you're doing a great job!"

''Thanks for the compliment. And thanks for putting up with me for the past few days, I've really enjoed myself" Atticus replied.

''Could you give me a tour of the palace? And perhaps you could tell me more about Queen Lehana so I can know more about her.'' Darius said, finishing his drink. He got up and fixed himself up. ''I don't think that the Queen thinks of me that well. Perhaps she thinks that I am sucking up or something. All I want to do is to be respectful, not to suck up but I respect the Queen's opinions.'' Darius said.

"How do you know what our queen thinks?"
Saweta questioned as she, Margo and Olina stood up, "We can take you around some parts of the palace."

"You're welcome," Lehana said as she sighed, "We should be heading back now. They'll start to wonder where I am."

"Oh, cheer up Lehana. Try and enjoy yourself" Atticus told her as they walked back towards the banquet hall.

''I did not say I knew what she thinks but if she thinks that, I respect her opinions.'' Darius said. ''Now, can you show me around the palace?'' he asked.

"Oh well," Saweta began, "I guess we could show you around the palace; no harm in that."
Saweta began to lead Darius out of the hall, just as Atticus and Lehana were returning.
"Oh hello," Lehana said, "What's going on?"

''Peace be with you, Lehana and to you too.'' he said to Atticus and Lehana. ''Your advisor was showing me around the palace.'' Darius told Lehana.

''And you as well, Darius" Atticus replied. 'This guy talks weird' he thought to himself.

''You must be Atticus, I have heard good things about you and your nation.'' Darius said respectfully.

OCC: oh, same person

"Thank you. I'm sure just as much can be said of your nation" Atticus replied in turn.

OOC: A puppet nation is a second nation created by a player for use in NS. A lot of times players will have more than one nation is NS, like I do, and have one main nation. They usually post all of their main posts in the forum with their main nation (account), although they often posts with a puppet account when their puppet nation is directly affected.

The most likely solution is that he was just on his puppet nation on the NS website and when he clicked into the forums it automatically signed him in as his puppet (which is does most of the time).

BTW.. does your nation have any males looking for a wife? My president's daughter is interested in marrying soon.

As for your question, the male wouldn't be anyone important since my nation is run by women..however if your rp sends out a message my queen could get it and post it in her nation and ask around. Perhaps one of the advisors will have a son. Does that help? Have you started this rp?)

"Hello Darius," Lehana said, "I see my advisors are going to show you around the palace? That's interesting."

''Hello, Your Majesty.'' Darius said. ''Your Majesty, may I have a private conversation with you some time?'' he asked.

Atticus stood there and decided to depart and let her talk to Darius.
'I'll catch up with you later, Lehana" Atticus said.

"Sure Darius, how about now? We could take a walk or something like that. My advisors can follow us."
"Yes," Saweta said, "That's not a problem, Atticus can go speak with your sister and brother-in-law."

Atticus looked at them and replied "Sure, it's nice talking to them." and he walked back over to jamila and Eric to chat some more.

"Oh hey," Jamila said as Eric nodded, "You're back, what's up?"

OOC-Sorry for late reply. Won't be on that much for some time. Sorry for short post too.

IC-''My Queen, I would like to ask of a personal matter. With all due respect, I would like to know what you think of me. Not that I say that you think of me badly or anything.'' Darius asked.

"Well," Lehana began, "To be honest, I don't know what I think of you. I haven't known you that long; I see that you're a nice person and all.."

IC-''Thanks for saying that, My Queen.'' Darius said. ''You see, I thought that you felt I was not good or something.'' he said.

"No," Lehana said as she pushed open a door that lead onto a belcony, "I don't think that at all. If you look out here, we have the palace gardens, to the left is the beach and to the right you'll see a running track, pool, and a building that has a gym in it. I like to work out."

Darius looked outside and said ''My Queen, you like to do many things, I see.'' He went to the running track and said ''You want to race me? I have ran a lot in Persia.''

Lehana chuckled, "I do not think I'm dressed right for doing exercise, if I were to fall in these shoes I may break my neck; and the gown does no good.."
Lehana finished as she smiled, "I'll take you up on that offer sometime."

Atticus returned to where Jamila and Eric were seated. "Hello again. Oh, not much, just had to stretch my legs" Atticus replied.

"I hear you," Eric said, "These functions can get boring."
"Hey," Jamila said as she lightly punched Eric in the arm, "This is my sister's banquet you're talking about."
Eric pretended to look hurt, "Sorry mam."

Atticus smirked "I hear you, Eric" he replied and hoped Jamila wouldn't hit him. "I'm not a formal person myself"

"You're safe," Jamila said, "You aren't my husband so I don't have promision to smack you."
Jamila laughed, "So, are you really thinking about marrying my sister?"

Atticus thought for a moment "I've thought about it. But, she's looking for a king. And I refuse to be a king. I would be a traitor to everything I've fought and believed in." he replied.

Jamila sighed, "Could you compermise? Like, be called a king just for the time that she introduces you to all our people in this nation then don't be called a king ever again?"

"I said I could be ambassador to Tarayshia for Kulikovo. But she didn't think it was a good idea." Atticus replied.

"It's just a one time thing," Jamila tried to reason, "She'd say, this is the new king of Tarayshia Atticus. The people would clap, the wedding would take place, that's it oh yeah and the babies would come."
Jamila smirked and Eric laughed;

Atticus smirked. He began to realize that he would have to give up alot to be with Lehana. "It's not that easy for me. I just don't know. All of it goes against my beliefs." he replied

"Just once," Jamila said, "Then never again; you're just Atticus. It's one sacurfice..a big one. If you love her, you would at least consider it."

"I do love her and I have been thinking about it this entire time I've been here. Your right though. I guess it wouldn't be impossible for me to be referred as king once or twice. It's not like the king would have any power in this nation. So I suppose it would work" Atticus replied, he began to give a little.

Jamila smiled and said, "There you go, and you really won't have much power in the nation. However, if it makes you feel better Saweta would have to respect you."

"Trust me, some people who work under you, will never respect you, even if you're a nice person" Atticus replied.

"Hmmm," Jamila said, "you have a point. Got any questions for me; I am her sister after all."

"She is a puzzle, you sister. I can never tell what she's thinking. I'm not sure if she loves me. It's hard to figure her out, she's more complex than most people I know" Atticus replied.

"I don't know if she loves you or not," Jamila said, "I haven't had a private moment with her since I came here. But you're right; she is complex."

Atticus sighed "I bet that Darius character would have no problem at all becoming a king. He's what the Queen needs"

"He seems nice," Jamila said, "Not a bad guy. I don't know about him though; you seem well, more relaxed and easy to talk to."

"Thanks for the compliment. But, I'm not sure if I'm right for her." he sighed.

"What I mean is, I'm not very neat, nor well mannered. These other guys are all proper and stuff" Atticus said.

(OOC: Finally got back in the forums again..)

IC:

"You seemed propper to me," Jamila said, "You ate fine, spoke fine..."
"Did she teach you stuff?"
Eric asked before Jamila could stop him;

"I must admit, she gave me a few pointers. She didn't want me to feel uncomfortable at this banquet, which was nice of her" Atticus replied.

"What does that tell you then?"
Jamila asked as she sipped at her glass of wine;

"That she's a very thoughtful and caring person" Atticus replied

"And?"
Jamila asked...

"She actually cared enough about me to help me out" he replied

"Alright then," Jamila said, "You know she cares about you; I think she may be scared to love you because it's been such a short time. How long have you been here?"

"I know it sounds stupid, but a little over a week" Atticus said

"We've found our answer then," Jamila said.

"What?" Atticus asked, even though he understood.

Jamila smiled, "It hasn't been that long that you have known one another, give it sometime and she'll come around."
"Yeah like another week," Eric said as Jamila mocked glaired at him.

"What if she decideds one of these suitors if best for what she needs, like a king" Atticus asked "She seems to be looking for a king, I'm hardly prime choice for that. These suitors would have no problem being one"

"I'll tell her what you told me," Jamila said, "About what you said about it wouldn't hurt for you to be called a king once or twice."

"Thank you" Atticus replied "You're both very nice"

"You're welcome," Eric said as Jamila nodded.
"So," Jamila began, "What now?"

"I don't know. These types of functions aren't my thing" Atticus said, smiling

"I have a feeling that it'll be over soon," Jamila replied, "Once Lehana gets back from being out with Darius."

"yep, I hope she's having a good time at the banquet" Atticus said.

"Yeah," Eric said, "I hope she comes back soon."

Atticus sat there and thought. He loved lehana and was willing to give up everything he fought and believed in, just to be with her. A thousand things ran through his mind. But, did she love him? It may be too soon to tell, but he knew what his heart told him.
'I don't want to lose her' he thought

"How long do you think the banquet will last?" Atticus asked "It's been going on for some time and everyone's having a good time"

(OOC: I'm sorry to the person playing Darius as a suitor, however I'm going to end the banquet.)

IC:

A few more minutes past before Lehana walked in to the banquet hall with Darius.
"To everyone," Lehana began as the room fell silent, "Thank you for taking the time from your nations to attend my banquet. I have had a nice time and I will let you know who I choose in a short time; once again, I and my advisors sincerely thank you."
Lehana then left Darius's side as she walked up to the table that Atticus, Jamila and Eric sat at, "Jamila and Eric, you know where your rooms are. I'll talk to you tomorrow Jamila, nice seeing you Eric."
"Yeah," Eric replied, "See you at breakfast."
"Night sis," Jamila said.
"Goodnight Atticus," Lehana said as she turned away, "I'll see you in the morning."
Lehana walked away as she noticed the guards helping the other suitors out of the hall in order for them to go back to their nations. As they past, Lehana thanked them all before exiting and heading to her chambers.

Atticus stood up "Good night to you, Lehana" he said, looking her in the eys. "It was nice meeting you Jamila and Eric" and Atticus began to walk away back towards his room, Lehana still on his mind. He walked into his room and took off his suit. He stepped into the shower and stretched his back, the scars stretched and ached. Atticus walked to the mirro and gazed into it. Then, he sat on the bed and thought

OOC-I'm sorry I've been gone for so long. Personal matters came up. Also, do we send our suitors back to their nations?

IC-Darius said ''You are welcome, My Queen. It was a nice time here in Tarayshia. I hope that prosperity comes to Tarayshia.'' Then he went to his room. He contemplated things and said ''If I am not chosen, I understand. I wish peace and prosperity to her if she chooses Atticus who I must say is a respectable person.'' Darius waited for a while, hoping to hear of the Queen's choice. He would notify his friends and family in Persia of the news, regardless if he was chosen or not. If he was not, he hoped to attend the wedding.

OOC: Tag. Sure am interested in this. Hope the Queen hasn't found a suitor yet.

OCC: You're rather late in the game

IC:

Atticus continued sitting there. It's been quite an unusual and complecated time. He finally broke 'I'll do it. I'll give it up for her' he thought.

(OOC: I'm really sorry GruntsandElites but I've already have choosen a husband for my queen. You can come to the wedding. Also, all the suitors go back to their nations accept for Atticus cause he has been staying in Tarayshia..the rest of the suitors go back to their nations until they get the news)

IC:

It was the next morning when Lehana had woken up, she woke up a bit late because of the late night she had the evening before. She stretched as she got out of bed, brushed her hair and teeth, got dressed in a black top with jean shorts and sandles and was in the dining room in the next 20 minutes.
"Hey Jamila, Eric still asleep?"
"Yeah," Lehana's sister replied when Lehana had entered the room, "I haven't seen Atticus."
"He'll be here," Lehana said as she smiled.
It was then Jamila told Lehana what Atticus had told her, and it took a big burden off the queen's shoulders.
"You're right, it would only be a one time thing," Lehana said.
"Yeah," Jamila replied, "Plus, Atticus is a nice guy."
"Yes, he is."

OOC-I see Lehana has chosen her husband, may the marriage be a happy and prosperous one.

Darius arrived back in Persia, greeted by friends and family. ''How did it go, Darius?'' his mother asked. ''It went well, Queen Lehana is truly a respectful, caring woman.'' Darius replied. Persia waited to hear the news, hoping to congratulate the Queen for her marriage. The Persian Imperial Family waited to hear the news as well, so did mostly everyone in Persia. Darius went back to his home and told his family and friends of his time in Tarayshia.

Atticus awoke, it was morning. He put on some clothes and brushed his teeth. he opened the door, turned a corner and got lost...again. After a bit of wandering he found the others.
"Good morning Lehana, Jamila" he said and smiled

"Goodmorning Atticus," Jamila said as she got up from the table, "I'm going to pour water over Eric's head in order to wake him up."
Lehana laughed, "He must really love you to put up with that; have fun."
The women laughed like young girls as Jamila left the room, shutting the door behind her.
"Atticus," Lehana began, "There's something that I have to tell you, I haven't even told my advisors."

Atticus took a seat, his heart began to pound "What is it, Lehana?" His eyes gazed into hers.

Lehana cleared her throat, "Well Atticus, I choose you to be my husband. I'll inform the other nations that attended the banquet that I have choosen you. You may also inform your country."

OOC-Congratulations on the marriage of Atticus and Lehana!

Congratulations, Queen Lehana for your marriage to Atticus of Kulikovo.

(OOC: No one outside of Lehana and Atticus know..just because it says who she's chosen in a post doesn't mean other nations go congradulating them. Wait until after the message has gone out to the nations.)

OOC-Sorry for that. I just wanted to send my congrats but I understand your wishes.

Atticus didn't know what to say. His heart shot out of his chest, he didn't expect it. He thought she'd choose one of the noblemen. He cleared his throat, searching for the right words to say, but he didn't know what to say. So, he simply held her hand, smiled and gazed into her eyes.

Lehana lightly squeezed his hand, "Are you alright? Your silence ither means you aren't happy or you're speechless. And, since when have you been speechless?"
Lehana laughed trying to make a joke;

Atticus smirked "Words can't explain, Lehana." he said and put his other hand on hers and smiled. "I guess I am a bit speechless."

"I know," Lehana said, "I was up thinking all night. I do want to marry you."
She leaned over and kissed his lips, "I'm going to break the news to my advisors and have them write the nations and tell them. I'm just suggesting but you may want to write your nation and tell them as well. Also, if you need to go home and get things in order I do understand."

"I wonder how far away people can hear saweta scream" he smirked and kissed her again. "I love you, Lehana"

"I'll be curious to see if it'll shatter glass," Lehana said.
She kissed him back before standing up, "I'm going to tell them; and Atticus, I love you to. I know how much inner struggle you went through in order to be my husband, and I promise I'll make it up to you."

"You don't have to. I know you must've gone through some inner struggling yourself. I wouldn't be giving all that up if I didn't love you" Atticus replied, smiling.

"Thank you," Lehana replied as she kissed him again and then turned away, "I'm going to break the news."
She left the room and walked down the hallway, going in to her throne room and calling her advisors to her. When all of them had gathered she spoke, "I have choosen Atticus to be my husband. All of you will show him respect just as you show me; he is my husband. Let it be known that the Queen of Tarayshia has chosen a husband."
"Your majesty," Saweta spoke, "Are you sure? There were so many other men.."
"Atticus is my husband," Lehana yelled, "Make it known."
Lehana finished as she walked out of the room and went to her bedroom to lay down.

Advisor Margo Price went to her office and sent out this message to all the nations:

To All Nations of the world,

Let it be known to all that our queen Lehana of the Nation of Tarayshia has chosen a suitor!! To the nations that had seeked our queen's hand in marriage, we sincerely thank you for your time and do hope that the fine gentlemen will find good partners for themselves.

The sun shone down on Atticus's face. he smiled and stood up. He never felt so happy or complete in his life. He took the ring from his pocket and looked at it. 'She listened to her heart' he thought

OOC: Thx. I have a story as to why my suitor didn't come in time.

OOC: General Johnathan Bradley, Leader of the Council of Races, would have come, but unfortuneately, my Nation (FT) recieved the signal too late. However, John was on his way to the place when he recieved the signal for the wedding. I am assuming that you were using some kind of radio/television. John will have just got there in time for the wedding. This is MT, right? If it isn't I am pretty much screwed over.

OOC-When is the wedding going to be? My nation (I am actually Roman Greece, this is a puppet nation based on the Arterus thread) would like to be represented.
