The "cute bunny" is not cute anymore, it seems. Yes this about the cute bunny burger corporation. just after the 1000th CBBC was opened up in Swilatia, leaflets were handed out exposing many things that happen in the CBBC kitchens that we don't know about. Y'know. this "animal cruelty" stuff. The leaflets also claimed that the CBBC burgers are "food poisoning on a bun".

Because of This fiasco, the popularity of CBBC went down, and 25 branches were closed because they do not earn enough money to exceed the cost of the branch existing. If there was regulations on the economy, even more CBBCs would be shut down. Looks like the sun is setting on the golden bunny after all.

7. Human meat and human meat by products must never be served from a CBBC outlet or any Food outlet on Tetrislandian soil for that matter.
8. The pilot/first outlets are to be opened in our cosmopolitan city Delft to gauge public reaction
9. Lastly we encourage you to shorten the trading name to simply "Bunny Burger" as CBBC is already trademarked and Cute Bunny Burger Corporation is far too long for tetrislandian tounge.

Union-Castle Line Makes Proposal to Bunny Burgers

It would appear that the Union-Castle Line has made an contract offer to CBBC about a contract to ship their meat. As it has been recently reported elsewhere, CBBC in an effort to deal with food security issues has directed that all beef to be used in their chains is to come from Allenea for the time being.

Union-Castle own a large fleet of fast cargo liners designed for the refrigerated food trade. Futhermore Union-Castle is one of the oldest surviving lines specializing in fast ocean transport of foodstuffs and perishables.

"Obviously Cute Bunny is in need of additional shipping with them now apparently using only one source of meat to supply their international restraunt chain. The Castle family sees this as an opportunity, albeit a temporary one," commented John Renks of the Shipping Board.

Futhermore some wonder if Union-Castle might have another edge, the fact that it still posseses the legal right to have armed merchantmen. Phillip Wodell, noted sailing historian explains, "Union-Castle was part of the Alconian network between the Navy's Fifth fleet and respectable shipping lines that allowed some of their faster craft to act as auxillery armed cruisers during times of war, or into areas of heavy piracy. This may be a big plus on the side of the Alconian shipping company. It is obvious from the news reports and CBBC's own documents to some of iits international branches that it is seriously worried about food security at the moment. Union-Castle has vessels which will both quickly and efficently transport the beef, but also do so in a secure manner.

However, Bill Ted from Technology Market notes that Union-Castle may also be offering advanced shipping technology to CBBC. "Union-Castle is one of the few firms that have bought the Skyking 5000 model civilain airships. Now these things have a long range, much higher payload than most aircraft, and operate at significantly lower costs. Futhermore, they could ship refrigerated containers of beef around the world without them being accessible until they reach their port of delivery. This may be an attempt to help initiate the new airship service of Union-Castle."

Whatever is occuring, Union-Castle is staying mum at the moment only noting that it is, "Attempting to find customers who will find our services valuable and affordable"

Union-Castle Line Wins Bunny Contract

The Union-Castle Line announced that it would be servicing the 'temporary' needs of the Cute Bunny Burger Corporation. Union-Castle also announced the leasing of at least fourty additional ships from other shipping lines to take over normal, 'safe' routes while Union-Castle redeploys its current refrigerated fleet. It has also purchased four former fleet transports that had been mothballed.

With CBBC apparently 'reserving' ten airships for their own transport needs, Union-Castle has purchased the next four Sky King 5000 airships from Voss and Decker and have made a tenative order for another four airships.

Speculation has begun that Union-Castle may start plans for a new class of fast refrigerated ships to be laid down at Carlarca Shipbuilding.

Former CEO of Union-Castle sells share of Line
The Heirs of Jackholm Vanderhoff, one of the few outside of the Castle and Leitch Families to run Union-Castle since the merger in 1872, has reportedly offered to sell their four percent stake in Union-Castle. The Vanderhoffs' asking price is 160,000,000 kr with a reserve on the dividend payments for the next five years. As of yet no word on if the offer has been accepted, or who may have made the purchase.

The Department of statistics has announced that CBBC is the most popular establishment in Ri-an. Popularity surges coincided with Lady Ri-an's personal visit to the original CBBC store in Central Elru.

Due to their extreme popularity, the Department of Reward and punishment is making a statue of CBBC's most popular burger.

Akmhed stopped at a filling station for his eighteen wheeler and saw a nice sports car filling as well. It was an awesome 2010 Dodge Viper, red, with AT tires and fourteen cylinders of power. He grabbed his pistol and began a conversation with the driver. Both filled up and Akmhed convinced the driver he had a Supra in the back of his truck that could whoop his car and wanted to take this on the road. The driver agreed and met Akmhed ten miles down the road, and was spurised when Akmhed's truck held nothing. The driver got in the back looking for the nonexistant Supra and got a bullet for his trouble. Now Akmhed had a fast car and closed up the trailer before setting the truck on fire. To Halo Island he went, hoping the helicopter extraction he was promised would be true because boat or airship were the only ways to get off this side of the island nation.

Okay. so we have heard about those leaflets. They even caused controversey in Khenas. Well, it turns out that they are false. they were attempted sabotage by the ARA (Animal Rights Army). You want the proof? We got it.

First off, the pictures of people poisoning the burgers, shitting in them, etc, were pictures of past events that happened in other nation's CBBC's, mostly Kahanistan.

Of course, the lies were not the first thing that tells us that the leaflets are an attack. the second petce of evidince is the animal cruelty stuff. sure it falls under number 1 because when the meat arrives in Swilatia and other nations its already in burger form, which is prolly only illegal in vegetarian nations. its not even illegal in Khenas!, but also if theres stuff about animal creulty, its a dead giveaway. I thought the ARA finally learned, but it did not.

So now as a reaction to the once again skyrocketing popularity of the burgers, the CBBC has opened 100 new CBBC's in Swilatia, and re-opening the 25 that were closed down.

OOC:Yes and No, you buy can buy a percentage amount of the outstanding shares of a company, it is a practical, large investor tactic. However, at times companies either split stock (which doesn't devalue the investors investment) or issue more shares (which effectivly makes each share a smaller peice of the pie)

CBBC has a problem in that the Rabbits wouldn't take path B, and path A leaves them in the same predicament they have now (let alone the fact that there are no small investors apparently)

Suggestion: Issue diffrent classes of shares, Class A (which has two votes per share) and Class B (which has one vote per share) Obviously the Rabbits can then own less than a fifty percent stake in the company but still have 50%+ of the votes and control.

Cute Bunny Burger Expands Throughout DC

With sales in Cute Bunny Burger's 100 branch pilot program soaring, officials from Cute Bunny Burger were quoted today as stating that CBB would be expanding and opening a number of new locations throughout the Democratic Colonies.

"Our sales in Viconia have consistently beat the local market average," said one CBB official. "The Democratic Colonies is a marketplace ready for something new, something exciting, and we are confident that Cute Bunny Burger is that something."

When asked about specific details, CBB officals refused to comment, although references were made to the bustling commercial city of Trademeet as being a paticularly promising market.

Rumbles of Corporate Sale at Burgers, Fries, Everything Nice Corporation

With sales at an all time low and stock selling for only .16 DC Credits per share, domestic fast food chain Burgers, Fries, Everything Nice is in dire straits. Analysts have been predicting a sellout to another corporation for months, but the first firm reports of a sale in the making have emerged from Burgers, Fries, Everything Nice today.

Unnamed officials reported to Steria News that negotiations are currently ongoing with both Burger King and Cute Bunny Burger, with Cute Bunny Burger seen as offering the more attractive deal.

"Things have gone from bad to worse for us," said one BFEN official who refused to be named. "Burger King is offering us a bad deal, we all know that. Our only chance is to get CBB to buy us before what little cash we have left runs out and we go under."

The buyers of Burgers, Fries, Everything Nice would have the 50,000 locations of the chain ready to be rebranded, re-equipped, and quite possibly re-staffed, as well as BFEN's 30 stories of officespace in the posh Donald Trump Trademeet Tower, in the city of Trademeet. Floors 50 to 80 in the 131 floor tower have served as the headquarters of Burgers, Fries, Everything Nice since thier founding in 1994 by since deceased fast-food mogul Jonathon Moore.

In Swilatia we are on a roll again – after pointing out that in most nations we do not slaughter our meat, but purchase it from local subcontractors who abide by all local rules and regulations, our PR has sped up a bit, and we have expanded to unprecedented heights. The small, pink helicopter hovered over the highway for a few seconds, then pursued the Viper. It could not stop it, but at least it could trail it and tell the cops and the CBSF personnel where the man went.

In the meanwhile, two cars – race-modified and turbocharged Blastolene Specials painted in blazing pink – began to make their way through traffic, their engines roaring. Each carried two CBSF employees, in full uniform. Hopefully this would be enough.

Cute Bunnies Invade the Allied States

Graham City - The Cute Bunny Burger Corp. has continued it's recent international expansion by opening up it's first every branch in Graham City's Harbour District. In the grand opening, in which curious customers lined up for three blocks in order to get a taste of the new fast food chain, whose expansion overseas brought clamor for a branch in the Allied States.

Plans for expansion in the Allied States are expected to be released in further detail this week, though investors speculate that should the market catch to CBBC's presence, the chain could expand to 500 branches by the end of the year.

Also opening in the next three months are branches in London, Dublin, Edinbrough, Nicosia, Athens, Thessaloniki, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Vancouver and Toronto, bringing the total number of branches to eleven.

Akmhed sped along and the police were nowhere to be seen. Instead the State Miitia had scrambled an attack helicopter to follow him. The old AH1 Cobra and its all-important 30mm chaingun and missiles left the base at Halo Islan and headed towards the sportscar. If it even came within gun range the chopper was ordered to fire and destroy the vehicle. The gunners, however, did not want this man killed as such. Like all good Marines, they liked their convicts like they liked their chicken--fried. Word soon got out, however, that two pink sportscars were within a mile of the not-so-flat-out Viper, and were closing to the point where they would intercept ten miles before the chopper. Hopefully the mercs would get this guy and not treat him so nicely.

A.R.M.S. Peel Castle, 60 miles out of an Allenean Port

James Leitch, or Jasper as the crew called him, stood in the compessor control room. He was tall, a red headed youth of about twenty eight. James was filling in at the moment in the family buisness since trained crew had been spread thin taking in twenty temporary vessels. So instead of working on his tan, and occassionally writting out the PID diagrams for a new ship, James was an assistant engineer on one of his families ships.
James continued to follow S.O.P, and recorded the computer values for the temeprature of the refrigerant checking them against the phisical measurements he had made a moment eariler. Everything appeared fine at first, but line three had an odd temperature rise at TP-4-22. Nothing huge but still, the captain of the Peel was a stickler for the rules. Especially when he had the youngest member of the two family clans that owned nintey four percent of Union-Castle.
James looked at his watch and winced. He had already missed mess and likely wouldn't get any leftovers either. Duty called to check out that errant temperature reading rather than just let it slide by. Akmhed swerved and veered but the power of the car was too powerful to really control at this speed. The Viper skidded and swerved right into a bridge's main support beam. The car shredded and suprisingly Akmhed's seat shot through and hit a guard rail, flipping into the river. he was unconcious and still strapped into the seat, falling deeper and deeper into the deadly river.

The CBBC is expanding quicker and quicker in Swilatia. Once just a big-cities only thing with ony 500 branches, it is a sprawling chain that is spreading into even the middle of nowhere. there are now 2000 in Swilatia, and the chain has over 1.5 million branches around the world.

Also, because the recent attacks the ARA is now listed as a terrorist network.

Granwell had imported insurgency kits from Leafanistan, and distributed them amongst his loyal workers, who in turn passed them down to other workers. There were five hundred in all, and only the leaders of the cells of five knew where the insurgency kit money had come from, or who the other cell leaders were, and they were indistinguishable from the other four cell members.

The first order of business was to occasionally shoot Qassams at CBBC outlets. Kahanistanian members of the CBSF were urged by propaganda leaflet to defect, though few took them seriously, or the accusations of collaborating with Allanean "cultural imperialists."

Anti-Globalization Dissidents Arrested for Vandalizing CBBC Franchise

With over 200,000 branches of CBBC restauraunts in the country, the single widespread Western style fast food chain has gained a monopoly on the market, with the next largest competetors, McDonalds, operating a mere 10 franchises. CBBC celebrations marred by protests

Today the four-hundredth Cute Bunny Burger Corporation restaurant was opened in the Sovereign State of West Ariddia, a heavily pro-capitalist nation with virtually no restrictions on businesses. Many of the existing restaurants were decorated in celebration, and small gifts were issued to child customers.

But outside the new restaurant was a large protest gathering. Increasing numbers of West Ariddians are vegetarians - an estimated 9% at last count - and voices have spoken out demanding anything from stricter regulations on the treatment of animals due to be slaughtered, to the closing of all CBBC restaurants. The Democratic Communist Party has promised to enact legislation banning cruel practices against slaughter animals if it ever comes to power.

There were other, smaller anti-CBBC protest marches throughout the country, and some of them clashed with infuriated consumers and pro-capitalists. The Cute Bunny Burger Corporation has become something of a symbolic target for animal rights activists and anti-capitalists alike.

"It's a disgrace!" one protester said. "They take part in the exploitation of workers, they murder animals in the most ghastly ways imaginable, and they encourage parents to feed junk to their children."

Some anti-capitalists, however, are divided.

Well, the initial "interrogaton" of Akmhed turned up nothing, but he broke after three or so rearrangements of his face. He spilled his guts. How he got the ricin (Iwo Jima seperatists still holed up in the hills) and his funds for the said ricin. They then called the cops, who were conveniently waiting outside Mike's gates, and took him to jail where he would stand trial tomorrow and the execution was already scheduled for next week just in case he had to go to trial (his confession but not interrogation was taped). Such was as in CM, but a country still very much divided from a civil war required such measures in a patriarchal soceity.

CBBC Shutting Down-This Time For Good

Elenore Romney and Jason Izen finally decided, it was time to ofically shut down CBBC for good. CBBC came under fire once for it's assosiation to LifeWyze, following the probe. And several scares and rumors arose since then, that LifeWyze and Alleana we're spiking Kanami meat out of spite. Whlil of course this these we're all mere scares, Romney wouldn't doubt it if they tried. Jason Izen ofically told us "I've had enough with them. They are supporting driving our farmers into the ground, along with the farmers of the world." Although CBBC did declare it would NOT use GMO's in it's meat, Kanami isn't trusting them anymore.

The shutting down of Allena also comes from Kanami's calls to sanction the LW partner, with IFTA giving no support, Kanami is going on it's own to get nations to sanction.

In addition, Kanami will run CBBC untill the end of the next month, but not divert any futher profits back into Allena. Under contract Allena being the primary nerve center of CBBC should recive some profit. Now this was contracted by Izen told us If Allena won't obey, nither will they.

It isn't known if CBBC is truley gone for good, Izen and Romney say yes, however some may belive that if Allena terminates the partnership with LW they may reopen. But that is a big maybe.

With the allowance of CBBC business exchange the Skibereenian corporation O'Murchadha Inc. Based in O'Murchadha City, Tara Isle, Skibereen is lodging an official request to purchase ten percent(10%) of the existing stock availble for CBBC.

The Interior Ministry has approved this action and the investment, barring foreign obstacles should move forward expeditiously.

Jeruselem Bunny News

Queen Mariah opened the shopping centre to be known as "BunnyLand" today. The Bunny-themed shopping centre built entirely from funds from her majesty who wanted to continue to the success of the CBBC of which she is a shareholder.

Angus McKimble, the Minister of Commerce, stepped into the office carrying two chairs. He was a short red-haired Scotsman in his late 30's, dressed in a conservative suit and tie. He was accompanied by another redhead, a curvy woman in her early 40's and about an inch shorter than him. She carried a chair and a huge government file. Also with them were two older men, one dressed similarly to the Commerce Minister; he was quite tall, Western European looking, and about 60 years old. He wore glasses and carried a thick briefcase. The other was about the same height, but he was dressed in high-status Arab garb and was well over 90, if not 100, years old. He leaned heavily on his staff.

McKimble set the chairs down and sat in one that was already near the Health Minister's desk. The woman set down the chair she was holding and sat in one of the chairs the Commerce Minister had provided. McKimble introduced the people who came with him to the Health Minister.

"Dr. al-Qadala, this is Margaret Delray, the Minister of Foreign Affairs." The woman extended her hand, but was clearly not interested in pleasantries. She set the file down on al-Qadala's desk while McKimble introduced the older men.

"This is Senator Mohammed bin Abdul Haram," said the Commerce Minister, nodding to the centenarian, who feebly walked over to the chair next to the Foreign Minister and sat next to her. "And this is Maxwell James Granwell, the former President of Mystery Max Fast Food, Incorporated." He nodded to the distinguished looking older man.

What a crew. "I am Mohammed Kareem al-Qadala, the Minister of Health. What brings you to my office?"

"Strictly business," said Delray coldly. "We need to destroy relations with Allanea. And we need you to do it."

"Why me? Can't you just condemn them for something, call Kazansky a child-molesting Doomani collaborator or something crazy like that?"

"No. We need to shut down CBBC. The free-trade treaty prohibits us from acting directly. We want that crap out of our country. People have gotten sick there, and they're ruining domestic fast-food markets."

Granwell nodded. "My own Board of Directors sold out to the Allaneans. They handed over my company to the CBBC for a trifle of their total worth. Now the CBBC has a near-monopoly on fast food. Please help me regain my business."

Delray smiled. "We need the Health Ministry to shut down a lot of CBBC outlets. I don't care what we have to do, but we need out of this free-trade treaty with Allanea, it's ruining the socialist system. They have a monopoly and we need to rein it in before it spreads from fast food to groceries and farming."

The Health Minister shook his head. "Do you want me to help you abrogate a treaty under false pretenses that you foolishly got yourselves stuck in? Why do you want to do this? Is it because those pompous Xirniumites got to you and told you that the Adamantine Alliance would be restored if you helped get rid of relations with Allanea? Or was it another nation that hates the Allaneans... the Amestrians, the Antanjylis, the Bandurians? Tell me, Marguerite, what is your real motivation for wanting the treaty dissolved?"

Delray was furious. "It's Margaret. Not that you should address me in the familiar. I have no ulterior motives. I merely want what is best for Kahanistan, and what is best for Kahanistan is not to be seen by the international community consorting with these rogues and letting them blindly tear apart our socialist system from within. Plus, they're becoming more dictatorial with that new Congressional amendment, and it's only a matter of time before we find ourselves at odds over trade, over relations lost because of their alliance, over the labor of our people lining the pockets of greedy Allanean capitalist pigs. I'd rather it be now and not when we find ourselves staring down the barrels of the USS Tiny."

"You will have to excuse the Minister," said Abdul Haram to Granwell. "When she is angry, she tends to speak her mind."

"So, what do you want me to do?" asked al-Qadala.

"A health inspection of all CBBC restaurants. I want about 90% of them shut down. I'd also like to help Mr. Granwell establish some competition against them, to keep them from growing back once we shut them down."

"Why not all of them?" asked McKimble. "Claim there's a hantavirus in there and burn them all to the ground, import about 60 kilotons of designer drugs from MassPwnage, and let the people hold the most awesome revelry on the ashes."

"Because of the trade agreement. We can't ban CBBC, we just want to restrict them. The people have a right to choose, if they want to get diarrhea three times a day from eating at CBBC, they have that right. But without their monopoly, the demand will dry up." Delray looked quite pleased with her idea.

The five Kahanistanians extended their hands and clasped each other's hand. "Then we have a plan," said Abdul Haram. "Health Ministry squads will raid each and every CBBC outlet in Kahanistan, shut down 90% of them, leave only the healthiest 10%, that should leave about 1,300 CBBC outlets, and Mr. Granwell here will take over one of them, and restart his business. With his remaining finances, Mystery Max can spread to hundreds in weeks."

The next day...

All 13,473 CBBC outlets were raided by officers of the National Police, Health Ministry, and local law enforcement. The National Police commanders had been told to watch for even the most minute speck of dust floating about. Infractions that would have allowed most restaurants to pass with a B rating got the CBBC smacked with an instant F. 10,243 CBBC restaurants received the F and were shut down indefinitely. 1,932 received a D and were shut down for 60 days pending "renovations," which basically meant for CBBC the equipment was unceremoniously tossed out the nearest window and the walls were ripped out and treated with lye, and then the owners had to go to court to get them reopened. This would be no easy matter. Only 1,300 remained open with a rating of C or higher, and only 29 received an A, with 177 receiving a B.

The Commerce Minister and Foreign Minister issued a joint statement decrying CBBC as a pervasive and dangerous influence in Kahanistan.

There are now 1,276 CBBC restaurants operating in West Ariddia. The corporation has weathered recent troubles in the country remarkably well, and is still popular with a great many consumers under the new government.

The opening of the 1,000th restaurant was the occasion for a small celebration in most of the branches throughout the country.

In addition, 2 CBBC restaurants have opened in North-West Ariddia, resulting in a total of 1,278 for the island of Limea (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Limea). It remains the only one of the twenty Ariddian Isles to have CBBC restaurants. The other 19 islands are PDSRA territory, where private enterprise and money do no exist.

Special Edition: Failures of the Free Market

Cute Bunny Burger Company fails to draw heavily political consumers of Third Spanish States and to find cheap labor


There is something very peculiar about Third Spanish States economy, in theory it would be a perfectly capitalist and government-less free market, for there are no taxes, no laws restricting economic activity nor import tariffs or restrictions except for merchandise originated from organized crime, although even drugs, if produced by legitimate businesses rather than in clandestine factories are accepted, in fact if there was a nation willing to export nuclear weapons, they would have not barriers to it. In fact, many corporation have only considered superficial facts and decided to expand into the Confederacy in the hopes of making their way into a monopoly.

However, there is something which shapes such economy as a socialist, but not in the ultra-collective "No Individuality Allowed" way of dictatorships of the "proletariat", but as a very different form of socialism which strangely contains its own type free market. First, most important of all, is the fact nobody would ever accept a job, much less a low-wage job like the typical functions of such franchises. Everybody, every single person of the Confederacy is either a member of a cooperative or a shareholder and there is no distinction between "boss and worker". Second, consumers buy based on two main aspects: quality and ideology, a typical Third Spanish States consumer would never buy from an enterprise known for polluting the environment or exploiting human labor, and they have an unwavering preference for cooperatives over corporations, and even the anarcho-capitalists do care about things like businesses known for having the government on their side to smash competition or for dirty ways of handling competition.

The Cute Bunny Burger Company was another of the unfortunate corporations which have only analyzed the Confederacy market superficially and had a serious backlash in the market, only serving to motivate the local HFCs(Healthy Foods Cooperatives) to expand their menu of available dishes, both fast and conventional, and extending the very popular Do It Yourself customer service, which consists on the customer choosing what he wants his dish, snack or hamburger to have instead of choosing among limited quantity of pre-made dishes, snacks and hamburgers. The fact the average profit share a cooperate from HFCs receivers is at worst(the more economically weak periods) 15 times more than the typical wage of a fast food employee also means a conventional hiring policy will fail completely. However despite having very little success in Tucker and Hampshire Haven free markets, the CBBC still had a moderate demand in the anarcho-capitalist Enclave City, the only problem being, despite a potential consumer base of half million of inhabitants with a large purchasing power located there, the fact that nobody works for wages, and the interest of everyone is actually to purchase shares or become workers-shareholders rather than waged workers.

All in all though, CBBC has failed on overall to convince an ideologically loaded market that it is not a "capitalist pig" or "enemy of the worker class" and now faces the challenge of balancing final price with the expensive, ambitious and heavily unionized labor force existing in the potential market of the Enclave, which also is composed by several, prestigious national cooperatives and companies, should they not simply give up instead of trying to overcome the challenges of the entirely unique free market and class of consumer that exists in Third Spanish States. Potential customers have only disappointedly noticed that the five unites in Enclave are still not open due to the lack of people to apply for the needed jobs, and it for now is nothing but a failed husk.

Rumors indicate an association of anarcho-capitalist shareholders has offered to meet CBBC executives to discuss and suggest a solution to at least give them a chance of acquiring a niche in the local market, but for now this stands as an example of yet another failure of the free market.
