Cara ducked and spun to dodge the swords but still took a nasty gash across her chest as one of the blades easily penetrated her tight leather outfit. She went down in a heap and a moan of pain.

Vengence would have felt a little tap on his shoulder.

Vengence held out one hand as they passed. They became one again, and flew to his hand. He spun around quickly, bringing they blade around to deliver a nasty blow at the person behind him.

"So. You are a wind entity." Said Shadow Servant.

He began speaking more magick, after nimbly dodging the tornado. A massive fist of stone appeared and trapped Fujin in its grasp. A sword appeared and began to swing to chop Fujin's head off.

"Oh," replied Fujin as he became but a breeze to escape the stone hand's grasp, "I'm much more than just a simple wind entity. I am the wind itself."

He began using hurricane level winds to rip trees out of the ground and whip them at the Shadow Servant.

Meanwhile the Spider's forearm came down like massive club on Alir'angs head.

Alir'ang snapped his jaws to grab at the spider's forearm with his teeth while spewing flames from his muzzle at the same time.

"Oh," replied Fujin as he became but a breeze to escape the stone hand's grasp, "I'm much more than just a simple wind entity. I am the wind itself."

He began using hurricane level winds to rip trees out of the ground and whip them at the Shadow Servant.

Greed meanwhile leaped upon The Sorcerers. At first they were afraid, but then the took action.

Time Froze Greed in an infinite second.
Space Trapped Greed in a Pocket Mini-verse.
Fire Used a powerful spell known only as merton.
Water threw a massive Tsunami.
Earth Launched a mountain.
Sky Blasted him with a Vortex that contained Lightning.
Healing sapped his energy.
Science Threw a Bottle at him containing so much energy, the bottle itself was shaking violently. It exploded with great power.
The Grand Sorceress Cast a Spell that Enveloped the entire miniverse in a Black field, and ended up uncreating it.

Fujin then turned his attention back to the Shadow Servant.

"Trying to turn my own Element against me," he said, "would be effective, if I was a lesser magick user."

He then began pummeling the Shadow Servant with bursts of wind travelling at twice the speed of sound from multiple angles.

OOC: Note, when Raiden, my Elemental Avatar Of Electricity, Fujin, and a third, the yet to be created Elemental Avatar Of Water, get together, they can produce an Elemental Storm the likes of which would make a D&D fan drool with envy. Though, when all my Elemental Avatars get together, ehh, well, lets just say you would notice the result on the other side of the planet.
Note: There is only one way to kill one of my Elemental Avatars. However, their death isn't permament, Altera's Gaia Spirit won't allow it, as they will be reborn, literally.

Shadow Servant spoke even Nastier words, not aimed at the Fujin, but at everything. Hordes of Shafow monsters began manifesting.

Back at the place where the Arnea once stood.

Shadowlord smiled. He robbed the entire solar system of all light, and bent the rays of the sun back upon itself. All Light sorces, and spells, would become ineffective, as the leght of those spells, would only be reflected upon their source.

Shadow's servant grinned. Complete Darkness. The Strength of Shadow was great. He drew his sword, and made it seem like he was coming from all directions at once, Lost, amongst the rabble of monsters coming for Fujin.
His sword would have gleamed, had there been light. The Only downside was, he was no completly vulnerable to an attack.

OOC: First, I have to ask what the Shadow Servant's sword is made out of. The result will differ depending on if its a certain material or not.

OOC: Steel, Much like the Zantetsuken Odin used in norse legends, and of a similar design.

Seaquest? where'dya go?

OOC: Sorry. I got caught up in reading Part II of the first NS War RP.
As for the sword, steel is close enough to the material I was thinking of.

IC: The steel of the blade whistled in the wind from the get-go. That is how Fujin was able to track it. The magickal null-zone around it due to its iron origins also helped. He removed his crossbow from his back and launched a bolt directly at the blade. The bolt would hit with the force of a ballista launched shot and, hopefully, shatter the blade.

Shadow servant snarled, and disappeared.

Meanwhile Lady Ri-an and Shadowlord were in a fierce staredown.

Shadow drew the Cthek Goru, though where and how he obtained the legendary Blade of Shadows was a mystery. Lady Ri-an drew her blade.

The servants were called back into Shadowlord all at once moments before killing blows. Ri-an and Shadowlord went at each other like fierce tigers, yet only Richard, Miho, and Marill could see what was happening. Everyone though, world wide, could feel it. Lady Ri-an was delervering marvelous blows with her destruction Blade. ShadowLord was positivly Killing Lady Ri-an with Cthek Goru. With a Mighty Blow The Arena and surrounding environs were destroyed, and if it weren't for the quick action of the sorcerers, there would have been many deaths to account for, to both visiting nations. Lady Ri-an sliced off limb after Limb, and Shadow Lord gave ever increasing wounds. Lady Ri-an began to grow weaker, and the world itself began to shake apart as its world spirit died. Still on they fought, as a Vicous Dark Murder who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, and a Mother who would stop at nothing for her Children. The Elements were in such a state of uproar, that none could calm them, and thus it was that a vast Dark Elemental Storm begamn to Brew. Water Mixed with fire, Earth Rose to the Air and Lightning Curled about. Time and space twisted, as all manner of disease creeped out. The elemental Storm was not limited to Magick Elements either. Dark matter from the depths of space creeped down, and entered the mix, and the result was that The Sorcerers had to draw upon the Strengh of Both Richard Rahl and Miho just to keep The Nation Alive.

All would have Died to, and the Shadow emerged Victorious, if Lady Ri-an had not struck a lucky Blow. The Shadow Gave a great scream, and retreated to Remora, Sealing it against unwelcome entry. The Sorcerers worked to put the Great storm to rights. Lady Ri-an dropped to the ground, and became energy. Slowly, as her strength returned, she turned to healing the world.

The Sorcerers turned to The others.

"We are deeply sorry you had to witness this. We had hoped things would go a little more peacefully. After we have seen to the wounded, let us retire for the night. For now at least, The shadow is defeated." They said. Then they scattered to look for wounded. While The others were sent back to the palace.

Richard first opend the second pouch at his hip. In here was contained black sand and only a small pinch was needed to render the spell void that he had just created. Before he dropped it, he bid farewell to the great warriors that still remained and the first Seekers of Truth.

As soon as the black sand hit the floor, they were gone. "Until the next time my brothers."

IC: Fujin called after the fleeing Shadow Servant, "Where you going? We were just starting to have some fun!"

Both Raiden, Elemental Avatar Of Electricity, and Fujin, Elemental Avatar Of Air, watched the battle between the Shadowlord and the Lady Ri-an through Miho's eyes.

They both also lent Richard and Miho some of their own life energy that had been granted to them by Altera's Gaia Spirit. Not enough to cause the two Elemental Avatars to be taken out of the game, but enough that the energy being drawn from them by the Ri-an Sorcerers was counter-balanced with a flow in.

After the battle had finished, they became one with their respective Elements and joined Miho, Richard, and the others. There, the listened to the Sorcerers's apology and watched the dissapearance of Richard and his compatriates.

OOC: Ehh, at least I think that's what you intended to convey doing, Abh.

The next day was Joyous, not only because Shadowlord was successfully repelled, but Nelre was going to die. From an outsiders perspective, it might seem weird to be joyful at death, especially when the one dieing is a learned and respected elderly man. However, few if anybody outside Ri-an had ever been able to watch the Death rites. all over Ri-an, Cemeteries did not exist, they simply were not needed. Today, a small handful of outsiders would be able to understand why.

Lady Ri-an was nowhere to be seen, partially recovering still, partialy because she was not involved. Nine Sorcerers stood around Nelre in a circle. The ten of them were waiting.

Richard was there with Cara, Kahlan, and Cypher to attend the ceremony. His golden cape rustled gently in the wind as he wrapped an arm around Kahlan's waist. Cypher was held in close check by the two parents and Cara stood behind them out of respect.

Fujin and Raiden stood next to each other as they watched from atop a near-by building. Their gray hair occasionally being whipped about by the wind.

Miho, Sinclair, and the party they had beamed down with were all wearing their dress uniforms.

Sinclair stifled a yawn. He had awoken at the crack of dawn to prep a surprise for later.

OOC: Hmm, a party at a funeral. How New Orleans like.
Oh, and check your TG's, Ri-an.

"I, Nelre, aged man of Science, of Magick, stand here today, because it is my last day in life. I have long traveled its roads, and journeyed far. I feel the Lady, calling me, beckoning unto me, to go, and become one with her." Nelre said.

"And you would leave us? without benifit of your Knowledge, of your abilities?" Marill asked.

"You would Leave us, to suffer through, on our own? you would make us all bear the greif of losing a dear friend?" The others said in unison, except schotty, who was silent.

"Be at peace friends, for to join the lady, is to never know death, not tuely, For though i and my soul shall cease to be, they will always be apart of our mother, the Lady, and she shall benifit forever and for always, by that which I bring her, but before i leave, I have a gift, for those i leave behind, The knowledge, of the Energy Flask." nelre said. With that, he walked to Marill, and gave her a Scroll, containing The knowledge of the energy Flask.

"Go then, and be with our mother, be with the Lady." Marill said.

Then, slowly, whisps of light formed in the air, the circled everyone. Where they touched, Marvelous jewels appeared, and they bore a quality, even Master Dwarven smiths could not match.

The Light encircled, and encased Nelre. Clouds boiled over in the sky, and lightning flashed. The wind picked up, and the light went to the sky, then a massive Thunderbolt of Light, not electricity shot down, and struck Nelre, he vanished, in a massive ring of energy, which shot out every which way, and vanished with the distance. The only thing that remained, were his robes.

Schotty walked to the center, the others tightend the Circle around him.

Lightning flashed more, growing dangerous.

Schotty picked up the robes, and put them on.

"I, Schotty, declare myself to be the Sorcerer of Science, Trained in the art, and bearing the knowledge of Nelre, i will henceforth assume his duties, and his tasks, and his debts, and his families." Schotty said.

"Are you willing, when Famine comes, as it must, to eat Leaner meals then those who shall be working under you, yet smile and be even merrier than they? are you willing to be the first into danger, and the last out, even at the premature expense of your life? Do you promise to guide, with an even, and fair hand, all your days?" Marill asked.

"I am." Schotty said. Lightning flickered.

"And if there are any who challenge me to my position, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace." Schotty challenged.

EDIT: OOC: Although I hope you don't challenge him, you could, because of very acient laws, and thus take his position from him, if you proved you were better at Science and magick then him. I would say that no one challeges him, but that would be a GM.

Raiden looked around from his seat on the ledge that surrounded the roof of the building to see if anyone was going to accept the challenge. Personnally, neither he or any other SeaQuestian there would have any interest in taking part in Ri-an's internal government.

Lightning flashed dangerously, wind howled, then, it all abated, and it bacame calm. A single colum of light broke through the clouds, and shone upon Nelre.

"A sign from the lady, all are in agreement then." Marill said.

"I do present to the world, and indeed, all creation, Schotty, the great Ri-an sorcerer of science!" Marill said. Schotty bowed deeply to all.

The city cheered, and bells rang. Birds even began to sang, and the sky cleared, with a bright sun shining.

It was over, but there was one thing yet left to take care of, with both visiting nations.

"Well, then, with that last bit taken care of, we would ask, our vistors, our new friends, to join us, down here, to take care of boring offical business, before the time comes to part ways, this evening." Marill called. Stairs opened up for both nations to go down to the courtyard.

"Oh great. I love official political matters" Richard says as sarcastically as possible while rolling his eyes which was followed swiftly by a back-hand from his wife.

"Why Lord Rahl, I believe we will have to work on your manners."

"Yes dear."

Cypher looked up at Kahlan while they walked down the stairs. "Mommy, is daddy in trouble?"

There was a short gust of wind, and Fujin and Raiden had joined Miho, Sinclair, and the others down at street level in the square.

Raiden said, "When you find a magickal world such as this, its bound to draw our attention."

It seemed all were going down, but they were going no where. A wall of grey energy sepperated the veiw outside the square, and when it was gone, they found themselves in a beautiful Garden that defied imagination.

"Welcome to the Lady's sancuary, our most sacred of Temples. We wanted to show you, once, before you left this evening. But, simply because you leave, that should not be the end of the seeds of friendship we have sown. Indeed, let us find a way to cultivate them, and let our friendship grow, in to a beautiful garden like this." Marill said.

There was a supernatural hush on the garden. It seemed like a crime against the garden itself to speak loudly. Cypher would recognise it as the garden he was invited to play in, on his very first night pm Ri-an.

Recognizing the magickal qualities of the place, none of the SeaQuestians were about to intentionally be the first to break the silence.

It would have remained that way, if the C.M.O. had not sneezed quite loudly at that point in time.

"Pardon me," she said quietly in a hushed tone while pulling out a hankerchief(sp?), "Darn allergies."

To the surprise of the sorcerers, at least, a bush with a great eye opened up and stared at Miho. This was a Magick Garden, full of extrordinary plants. Its gaxe held a paralisis effect, which was how it gained its name of the Still Gaze. Then, it closed its eye, and went back to sleep.

"So, come, I have healed myself. Don't let the plants intimidate you, speak up. For three days we have waited for questions, for three days we have waited with answers. Surely there must be questions lurking in your minds. If not, then let us at least, agree to be friends, for as long as the stars in the sky shine, and beyond." Lady Ri-an said from behind them all, sitting on a gigantic pink flower, that more closely resembled a throne on a raised Dais then an actual Flower.

The Power Plant, if you'll pardon that bad Pun, is thriving very well due to your presence. it is an odd Plant, that can store up to 1.21 jigawatts of electricity. Around the other, I sense great Typhoons and devastating wind storms. There is a Plant, that draws upon Wind, and Flys, once every ten years, scattering its seeds, then it dies. This year, is its year of flight, your friends presence gives it great power indeed. Trust me though, where your at, is far easier than where I'm at. You simply have to worry about one element. I have to Juggle world wide Elemental patterns, and like a chess player always thinks ten moves ahead, I plan 1,000 years ahead." Ri-an said.

All the sorcerers looked shocked. They had trouble planning a year.

IC: "Vast rainstorms to make up for a fifty year drought brought upon by the next sorcerer of science, the one after Schotty here, accidentally messes up the entire pattern with weather satilites. In order to get there, however, it has to be at least 250 years of cold weather, and the rest of time fairly decent weather. After the rainstorms, I hope to get bact to fairly decent weather, which will coincide with the time Marill is reborn again, and reassumes the position of Grand sorceress. Also sometime during the next fifty years, I need to ravage the entire southren hempisphere with fierce wind storms, and possibly erupt a volcano or two. Every one knows the disasters are coming, their fairly warned." Lady Ri-an said in the same casual manner one might order tea at a resturant with.

"I do, at least, I do on some small level.

There is an order to all things. Each sentient being, such as yourselfs, you have your own soul. Each Beast, each bird, each fish, even the treants, have their own soul. Even Gods have their own Soul, nestled away among all the souls of their believers. For all other things, this is simply not true. Each Plant, each and every blade of grass on this planet, and all the buildings built upon it. Every scrap of dirt, every drop of water, every puff of wind, all of it, it is all a part of me, it all shares my soul, and if this planet were to be destroyed, than I would be too, for I cannot exist without my planet.

I decide the path of my body, the world. To a point. Each heavenly body, each star, each planet, even the Black Holes, the White holes, and the wormholes, we all have a soul. Even the wind, the fire, the rain, the lightning, the elements themselves, have a soul, for, to live, to exist, is to posses a soul.

But, the Galaxies themselves, also posses a soul. Knowing that a Galaxy is just a collection of heavenly bodies, makes this seem impossible. Yet, all the souls of the Heavenly body, are, as one, the Galaxy spirit. Yet it is its own unique soul, its own unique spirit, watching us all, deciding our paths, our fates. When you see the spirit of a tree, it is its own unique spirit, yet, it shares an inseprable link with the planet it is grown upon.

As each Galaxy has a soul, so does the universe itself, and all the other univeres, and diminsions, and planes, and at this level, the elemental souls come in.

The soul of each Universe, governs the path of each galaxy, of the events that transpire within its body. Each Plane, and each diminsion, does the same, bearing in mind, the uniqness of their diffrence. The Elemental avatars, exist to aid the other spirits, to watch those who each have their own soul. Yourselves, and similar beings.

The reason for this, is that there exists, over all creation, a special Plane, a great feild of energy. It is known as diffrent things, in diffrent places. The Force, Fashka, Magick, or, simply, Mana. It is the energy that gives all beings with supernatural powers, their powers. The Sorcerers weild it. I weild it for tasks outside of the normal realm of my abilities. Miho, with her Clairvoiance abilities, weild it. Richgard, with his magick sword, and own unique powers, weilds it. Raiden, and Fujin, Avatars that they are, weild it.
And indeed, it is necessary to, for, as the Jedi's teach, there is a good side, and a dark side to Mana. But there is far more than that, For the energy feild itself, is the great balance of creation, and unfathomable things would happen if it were to be completly unbalanced. There are six Major forces in Creation, Each struggling for dominance, in their own fashion:

Law, The Power of a system, of a Method of doing things. It is Bendable, always changeable.

Chaos, Always Changing, always unpredictable, and never certain. Good, The special something inside us, that tells us to be nice, to that poor beggar down the street, and to help your ailing neigbor, accross the way.

Evil, The nasty part of us, that is will;ing to do anything, for its own ends. It plots, it schemes, and has little regard for others.

Life, The power to draw breath, to exist, to influence others. Life is a grand and mysterious thing. Do not let it pass by, without exploring it.

Death, Eventually, all things must rest, for awhile. It is, inevitable, and unavoidable. The Secrets of The Dead are sacred, and guarded most fervently. Fools that attempt to access them, soon find themselves, a member of the dead.

Now, Mortal kind, those with the Unique souls, each has their own allignment, their own beliefs, and sometimes they conflict. The Avatars, are simply there, to maintain Balance of the Elements, and of Creation itself. Anything they do beyond that, is something only they can answer for in the end.

Yet, who watches it all, who makes sure those that watch over others, makes sure everything runs smoothly. In part, the gods do. Yet Gods are subject to their own whims and beliefs, as well as those of their followers. In Truth, all things are governed by the Grand Spirit of Creation itself. A most Glorious being indeed. It is called many things, in many places, and not one of us knows the absolute truth. And The Spirit, is Guarded by The Great avatars of Creation itself. All of whom, watch everything, with absolute neutrality, and far stronger than any God, or Goddess." Lady Ri-an said.

OOC: Yes, I know you only asked a question about the guidance of the stars, but, never ask that Question to Lady Ri-an, she will always go into that long winded explaination of everything.

"The concept of worlds being alive," said Miho, "is known in SeaQuest as the Gaia Spirit philosophy. Very few have actually seen the actual Gaia Spirit for any world however as it takes vast amounts of energy to make it visible to the naked eye. Though, when it is visible, it usually appears as amorphous body of material all of unified coloration."

"Not exactly what I meant," she replied, "but I have seen the remnants of a Gaia Spirt from a destroyed world battle with the Gaia Spirit for supiority after a fragment of the destroyed world impacted into the planet.

"Due to the suffering the alien fragment had experienced leading up to and right at the moment the planet was destroyed, the 'ghost spirits' it brought with it and it weren't in the best of moods, or sanist(sp?) states of minds.
