Very odd. For some reason the economics thread never updated in my PROFILE page here at Jolt. It shows updated or new posts in each of my subscribed threads, but not the economics thread.

None from me. So far the only major RP going down is the whole Palestine thing and we can easily handle that. After all, its not as intensive as the World Wars we've had and no need for complicated war gaming out.

Did China reclaim East Turkestan (Uyghuristan), Manchuria and Mongolia?
What is the current status of Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Azerbajin, Kazakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan, Tajikistan. I believe most of them are still part of Russi, is this correct?
What is the current state of Iraq (is Basra still an independent entity?)?
Does Japan still own the Chinese islands?

Sorry for the batch of questions, but once i have got the answers I can finish the map and repost it.

Latvia and Lithuania are owned by Poland. As with all of those other countries, I am not sure.

Sinkkiang (East Turkestan/Kashgaria) remains independent, as does an enlarged Tibet (look at the WIF Asia map, Tibet has everything in the arctic weather zone centered on it).

Basra, Baghdad and Kurdistan are all carved out of Iraq (use ethnic boundries found Shiite / Sunni / Kurdish boundries if you can)

Lithuania and Latvia are part of Poland, Estonia, Karellia, and St Petersburg are part of the Scandic Union, Georgia and Armenia are unified, Azerbajin is independent,

Kazakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan, Tajikistan form the Central Asian Republic

Japan owns its home islands, the Ryuyukus, Bonin and Volcano Islands and the Kuriles... China got Formosa (Taiwan) back, and the Russians have all of Sakkalin.

Yes I'm part of 21C, but my the country of Lithuania. Can't really do that much with the country. Also I don't like it that much since the Australian player invaded Somalia for no reason.

I am inclined to say no. Bur I am happy with Safehaven2 doing some "surveillance" over on the E21 threads if he's happy to do it. If RP ability has improved then i'd be happy to RP with a new player.

Indeed I am sure that we all value GB's major contributions in those areas but I presumed it was these duties that took up the bulk of the time and therefore the ones to cut first. Still, it's not for me to say. Good luck with whatever you decide to do GB.

I think you guys should be able to keep it going.. you will have to copy the first posts of some of the threads in order to restart them as I will not be able to update them regularly, but that should be easy enough.

You have sufficient rules written for you to be able to expand on what is present now, and I would suggest Lesser Ribenia as reality moderator, and Malkyer would be ideal to take over as the USA, although you could always make the US an NPC, as right now it is the only superpower (and likely to stay that way a long time).

LOL, maybe even some of the players who left will come back.

Anyway, I have thoroughly enjoyed this RP, in spite of occasional issues with some players, and I wish all of you luck. The next 6 months will be extremely busy for me at work, and something had to give, and alas, this is a hobby, and that is what has to give.

Well, I'm going to propose that we put this whole rp on hold for a little bit while we organize, or reorganize, things.

I second SH2's proposal of a freeze while we figure things out.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to start copying some of GB's more important posts (rules, costs, etc) to Word documents so that we can make new threads later. We wouldn't want to lose any to the great maw of Jolt Crashing.

Also, we really need to divvy up the Mods.

I've copied and pasted most of GB's important posts to Word documents; the rules for Economy, Military, United Nations, general rules, etc.

As for Mods, I propose the following positions, which are fairly self-explanitory:

Administrative/Recruitment
Military
Technology
Economic
Realism/History

Naturally, we can have more than one Mod for certain positions, or one could handle two things that are related (military and technology, for example). According to the main thread, the assistant refs are myself, Middle Snu, and Sharina, though I know GB considered several others to be helpful as well (Ribena and Safehaven 2 come to mind, but I know there are others). Therefore, I guess we should have people nominate themselves or others for a position as Mod, and then we can vote on it based on that person's ability and familiarity of their chosen area.
