King Holley after a lengthy struggle with the chair that he was bound to and was subsequently able to break free.

*Where is my sword?* He peers around the room that he has been studying while trying to get loose, and he locates a box with his weapons in it.

"Hello!!!" "Can anyone hear me!" Hearing no answer he begins attacking the door in an attempt at escape. King Holley manages to break down the door in a manner more hacking it too peices than knocking it down.

*Something must be direly wrong* He runs around the darkend halls until the king finds the hall that the party was in earlier. Now having his barings he races to the most likely spot for something to be wrong, the princesses room! Hearing loud arguements and shouts King Holley opens the door to find three men and the princess in a heated exchange.

"Wait a second...I have been locked up for I don't know how long and you gentlemen are arguing about assasins."

"All of you, put your weapons away and talk about this like civilized people." Kevin said as he kept himself between Marina and the two people with weapons. He was quite willing to die to protect her from any of them, if that's what it took.

OOC: NA? If you even THINK of TRYING to shoot Alexander, I will invade New Ausha and kill EVERYONE in your nation. From the oldest grandmother to the youngest infant, and everything between. I would consider that a provocation so dire that my military would not rest until your cities were levelled into the dirt and your arable land salted so it would be of no use to any future migrants. I advise, odd as it may seem, that you actually consider what the hell you're doing.

Quite frankly, I've been at this game and done enough assassinations that if Alexander really wanted Marina dead, she'd have probably been poisoned or killed by a hired servant. Only an idiot would do what you seem to think he's doing.

For the record, Alexander is engaged, as a matter of fact, in an assassination. But it has nothing to do with any of you or anyone in Flamazon.

"Papa! Papa!" Screamed over and over again. Marina crying desperately hung unto Alexander. "Please Sasha, don't! He's a good man, really, I can tell from his eyes! Don't hurt him!" she wailed. "Both of you put down your weapons!!!"

Immediatly after seeing the weapons being flashed about King Holley withdraws not only his sword from its sheath but also is 40 S&W. While ready to fight he keeps his weapons in a neutral-ready stance as not to agrivate the situation.

Alexander was more than capable of moving faster than the 'spy'. Having caught the sound of James coming up behind him, he had drawn his rapier and ducked into a roll, coming up within an inch of James' neck. "...you insignificant worm." He whispered, smiling. "You dare to fire at me, and your republic will be annexed by the Divine Imperium. Your people will die, your cities will be destroyed. And you won't do anything to me because, you pathetic fool, I'm wearing bullet-proof armour and you're not a good enough shot to hit my head."

"I've already killed one man today, James. Another won't make any difference. Put your damn gun down."

Heh James smiled. You sneaky bastard. Alexander could tell he was not adressing him. Gunter was behind him, 9mm glock placed in Alexanders left temple. James gave gunter a wide grin. Sorry mate, just ya know. Ya i get it gunter said. He looked towards marina. I know why you did it. Alright you murderous psycho. Gunter yelled loud. Alright boys, come on in!!! Royal guards stormed the room. The had alexander pinned in a corner, 9 barrels pointed directly at him.

"Marina, please get under your bed." Kevin asked her, "I want you out of the line of fire if anyone here gets an itch trigger finger." He was the only one beside the princess who was unarmed, but was still doing his best to keep her safe.

"Noooo! Alex...." Marina in an instant, turned around and kicked James, taking away his gun and placing it on her heart. "If you kill him, I'll I'll...I'll commit suicide!"

Taking on what Kevin said, nocking the gun away from her, King Holley immedialty grabbed the princess and attempted to rush her out of the room.

She doesnt get it!!! This was creeming in Jame's head. Forgive me princess, he said, and slapped the weapon out of her arm retrieving it. Kevin, someone! get Marina to safety. he turned his weapon to Alexander and aimed. Take it easy alex.

"Let me go you bloody bastard! Let me GO! Papa come! Hurry!" She struggled as much as she could, biting, kicking, scratching in order to get the man to let her go. "Don't you realize it CAN'T possibly be him?!" She extended her arms out. "Aleeeeeeex!!!!"

Gunter spun, James! its not alexander. James sighed and holstered his weapon. he eyed alexander. Everyone left the room, except James, marina and kevin, and that was when the emperor rushed in.

OOC: He's not the real assasin, so he's upset at having his character being treated like that and him having no control or say in this. *shrugs*

"I am sorry that I had to drag you out of the room Princess."

The Emperor came running into the room. "I demand to know what this racket is!!!" He said turning bright red in anger. "Alexander...?! What are you doing here, what are they doing here?!" He pointed confusedly at the men.

"Of course you did!" She yelled out, "What the hell is this spectacle? Why did you attack my friend without letting him prove himself innocent?!" Princess Marina put her arms around her father's arm. "Papa is it true? Is there an assasin out to murder us?!"

"Emperor, James believes that there is an assassin who is after the princess. He believed that Alexander was the assassin and his parter summoned the guard." Kevin explained, "I had one of the guard get you to sort out this mess."

Sir if I might, there is an accusation that their is an assasain among the list of suitors. In addition, I was attacked and locked up in a room for quite some time.

I think you are an incredibly poor RPer, have acted completely without regard for any common sense ICly, and have no intention of continuing to tolerate your godmodding. Therefore, while I might continue the RP because I like most of the other people involved, I wish nothing whatsoever to do with you or your paranoid misconceptions or anything.

My tolerance level for this business started out low, and has been dropping, and it is to the point where if I actually wished to start a thread with you, I would invade New Ausha anyway and carry out my threat to the letter. I have had more than enough.

After typing in an impressivly complex series of numbers, he asked for 'Mr. Warolof" After talking for about 30 seconds, he handed the phone to the emporer.

Mr emperor, a rival political party has surfaced in the past few months, intent on ending your dynasty, and installing your country as an iron fisted dictatorship. I gove you my word, there is an assasin present at the palace. the reason we are so interested in your safety is due to the fact that we are interested in positive relations with your nation, and what better way to make a good impression, than to stop you from being murdered?

Kevin just looked around, glad that everyone was calming down and at least no one had anyone else at gun or blade point. Turning to the Emperor, "Emperor, might I escort Marina to her sisters chamber so that just might have a chance to get some rest and comfort from those she knows?"
He also intended to sit outside the door until the assassin, or suspected assassin was caught to keep Marina safe.

Roania/New Ausha: You can ignore each other outside the thread, but this thread has been going good, so please don't let your objections to each other spoil it. If you want to avoid each other here, just have your respective characters avoid each other, unless absolutely necessary.

New Ausha? I've been at this for a great deal longer than you, and I'm rather better at it than you. So I suggest you shut the hell up and listen very closely now. I am not making threats. I am making promises. Promises which I might carry out anyway because, quite frankly, I think NS would be better off without you. I suggest, first of all, that you read the Roleplaying stickies.

Then I suggest, second of all, you take a good, long, step back and figure out where the idea of 'story' came from. This is consensual roleplay, not 'choose your own adventure'. You may never involve someone else in your 'story' without first clearing it with the player concerned. This isn't even something that you should need to look up. It's common sense.

I don't care about ways of life, either. The Divine Imperium is a massive, imperialist, generally evil nation that could kill everyone in your nation, and would be perfectly willing to do so on the flimsiest excuse, simply because you're not part of the Divine Imperium.

Thirdly. While Flamazon seems willing enough to tolerate it, it's generally bad taste to take control of another nation's government without asking permission first.

Fourthly. Alexander's 'superiority' has been established in dozens of threads before this one, and if I wanted to dig through the NS backlog I could probably cite half-a-dozen examples right here. He isn't a superior lifeform. However, he does: Have better training than your characters, better equipment than your characters, is generally more important than your characters, and considering their track record, is smarter than your characters.

And finally, this is my last post. Not just for the night, but, I believe, for the entire thread. It's been entertaining roleplaying with most of you, however I've decided I'd rather quit than continue with this 'story'. If I change my mind, I'll discuss it with Flamazon and I'm sure you'll all know soon enough.

With lord kevin and princess marina, they make thier own decisions, and james makes his own independant decisions, on how to proceed in the story. he always speaks and awaits replies, and so on.

Your nation could crush my nation like a pathetic ant? My nation is small, yes, but that does not mean we are not politically established. Give your declaration, and you will have a coalition of allied nations surrouns you, and soon after have a spec ops team burst through your window and shove Ar-15 down you throat (crude yet true:p )

Finally, Alexander is smarter? James was a graduate of the University of New ausha, after a 7 year term, in which he joined the Ministry of Intelligence. he spent a good portion of his life with weapons training and combat (james has not been established in previous threads, the charachcter must begin)

May I suggest, you changed your soiled pants, read this reply carefully again and think well.

OOC: Sorry guys, I couldn't post last night. :( I was practically dead and somewhat ill after work, so I fell asleep. In regards to this unfriendly feud between my friend Alex and New Ausha...can't you guys just act like grown ups and stop all the trash talk? Alex, your character IS a bad ass but he could have done a little bit of explaining IC. And New Ausha, you COULD have cleared it with him but since you DID then 'clear' Alexander of assasination charges, I can see you made an attempt at fixing things. Now, can we move on please? I understand both of your points of view, but now I feel like if I "tolerate" New Ausha, Alex gets mad at me and if I side with Alex, I would be a bad rper. IC: The Emperor nodded to the men in consent. "Yes, I want her as heavily guarded as possible. Please accompany her to Natalya's bedchamber, she will feel better there." Turning to his daughter he gave put his arms around her and held her tight, kissing her forehead. "Marinushka, you'll be fine, don't worry about anything. Everyone will protect you." he smiled.

"But papa, I don't want to be confined to a room! I want to find out who it is! Tomorrow morning, I was going to announce my three favourite suitors so I could get to know them better! What if one of them is the assasin?!"

"As soon as the assassin is found, I'm sure that your father will inform you." Kevin said, "As it is if an assassin is loose and manages to get you, it wouldn't really matter if you knew who he was, would it?"

"Kevin has a valid point. I shall stay completely alert and guard your chambers while you rest your highness. The assassin will have to go through me first, and you saw what I could do earlier, it won't be easy to."

"Have no fear my steel and my hands are as fast as my feet!"

"What the hell were all you people yelling about?" Katsuo said, walking down the hall, "I was two floors down and I could hear you!"

Kevin immediately moved between the new arrival and Marina. "Who are you?" He asked of the man, while motioning to a guard to search the man.

"I don't know what to do anymore!" Scowling at the suitors she added, "I DO know how to take care of myself y'know." Then lowering her head she muttered, "Still I appreciate your help...thank you."

"I know you can take care of yourself, but I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt." Kevin replied to the princess's comments.

Blushing slightly, the princes smiled warmly at him. "My deepest thanks to you my lord. I will do my best to stay out of the assasin's reach." Suddenly she burst out the door, ran down the staircase and flew out the double doors and outside. It was already well past midnight and a storm raged outside the wind and rain pounding against her face. "Alex!!! Alex...wait...don't go!" she yelled out as she saw the shadow of a man sliding into a car. "Wait, please!" The Roanian Grand Duke opened the door and stood up.

Kevin was shocked by the princess's actions, so much so that he was almost a minute in reacting as he then proceeded to dash down the corridor to try and find Marina.

Alexander glanced up at Marina, and then held up a ticket. "Non-refundable ticket on Firebird to The Most Holy City, Princess." The Grand Duke answered, a thin smile appearing on his face. "Don't worry, I'll be back soon enough. With an army or three." He slid back into the car's seat. "I have never been insulted so much in my entire life, my dear Marina, and I wonder what you could say to make me decide to remain and be insulted some more?"

James waited for marina to return. He eyed the other suitors and leaned against marina's door. Who could it be? Which suitor? had Alexander been serious, was there validity to his threats. Several calls to New Ausha's defense minister eased his mind.

"Okay..." Marina stood there in the rain thinking. "You know what? Just leave. Go back to Roania...I would rather not have you and the suitors fighting in the palace hurling accusations around." She turned on her heel and went back to the palace drenched.

OOC: Cant post, got school, now that the weekends over. (Dam) Anyway I should catch up at around 12:15, 3:30, tommorow. (Pacific time)

Kevin finally managed to catch sight of Marina and he noticed she was talking with Alexander. While he personally thought he was a priss, he did respect him and knew that Marina trusted him, which was enought to convince Kevin to give him the benefit of the doubt. He would keep an eye on the princess but not interfere unless he saw something wrong.

Kevin noticed Marina and Alexander going seperate ways and waited for her. Once she arrived at the door, he draped his jacket* around her shoulders and asked, "Is everything all right?"

IC: Marina was furious at Alexander, but at least she wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. She held his hand and smiled sweetly. "Thank you my lord, I'm very glad to see that there are still gentlemen in the world. Let's go, it's very late and tomorrow I make an announcement." Arm in arm, they walked up the staircase and he accompanied her to Natalya's room.

"Ah it lightens my heart that you made it here safely, you really should be careful when going out into the open and exposing yourself like that."

"I'm sorry you had to fight with Alexander." He said as he took as they headed to Natalya's room. "Hello Holley." He commented as he escorted Marina the last bit into her sister's room.

Time went by....

Finally after so many horrible events, a new day arrived and with it new surprises. Natalya slid the curtains open and let the sunlight flood in and strike her sister's face. Squinting, Princess Marina raised her arms and stretched. "What time is it Natya?"

"It's only 8:30, don't worry you're not late for anything."

"Oh but I am! I've got to get ready for making the announcement today! They've been waiting long enough I think!"

Natalya stopped to look at her sister with great curiousity. "What are you plotting Marinushka? Have you finally chosen a suitor?"

Marina rolled her eyes, "You'll see...it's very difficult considering that there's an assasin in our midst...I can't just pick one. I'll pick the three suitors that I liked best and then I'll get to know them better. You know...stretch out this thing a bit longer. I want to be the one to catch that mangy lunatic." said the young woman, biting her lower lip in concentration and frowning.

Kevin had kept watch with the others, always ensuring there were two awake at any time to watch from both ways. He also, during his last rest period freshen up for the coming day, to ensure that he presented the best foot, even after the 'allnighter'.

"Ok, let's go!" whispered Marina, standing behind the door. She put her hand on the knob, turned it and pulled it open. Both sisters walked out of the room and started down the staircase.

"Papa!" the two princesses ran to their father who was waiting for them downstairs. The Emperor embraced them and pulled them close, especially his eldest. "How did you sleep?" he inquired.

"Well, I..." Marina smiled, "I slept well papa. And I devised a plan. We know that there's an assasin here right? We can't just let that happen, somehow...he's got to be caught. Who exactly is he after...?"

At that precise moment, Lord Kevin appeared and bowed to the family. "Good morning your majesty, my ladies!"

"Good morning my lord, I'm sorry for having caused so much trouble to you last night, I doubt the assasin would have attempted an attack, perhaps you should have slept more?"

Wershak walked in and bowed, "You all slept well I presume?" the usual smile on his face.

"It wasn't bothersome." Kevin replied, "And I would have felt truely abomidable if I'd allowed harm to come to you. And you needn't worry, I won't be falling asleep in my soup." He said with a grin.

"As it is with me...even as young as I am I have spent several years commanding in the army of my country before I was named King. Staying up all night is of no consequence to me!"

Marina smiled sweetly at all three of them and nodded. "Thank you for being so kind...Now, lets go eat breakfast, I understand we've got a bit of a feast prepared for us!" The princess grabbed a hold of her father's arm and walked towards the dining room. "Please sit down gentlemen, and tell me what you think of the matter at hand..."

OOC: Ok, so are we agreeing on an assasin being in the palace still or did he get scared off? It might be fun to solve a mystery hehe. And if so, who is going to make up the assasin?

Kevin followed and took the indicated seat. "I'm not sure, if I were an assassin, I'd have hightailed it out of here, as I'm sure it's much harder to kill someone if they are ready for the attacker." He commented

"I agree with Lord Kevin, it would be too risky to attempt anything at the moment." Wershak replied as he took his seat, and rested his arm on the table...

"Since we know that this assasin is of merit it makes it logical that he remains. However, he will not strike while it would not allow for an escape"

King Holley wispers in the princesses ear, "We could lay a trap for this assasin, make it look like the perfect chance but stop him in the act."

The princess listened to King Holley's suggestion then turned her head to whisper in his ear, "That's exactly what I was thinking...he might be lured by the bait."

"Excellent I shall go speak to Wershak and Kevin about the matter!"

King Holley walks over to Kevin.

"Kevin I have decided, and spoken with the Princess about it, that we should prepare a trap for this would be assasin. Do you have an idea about how we should make this happen?"

"A couple, but I'd prefere not to risk Marina." Kevin said, "If you still want them, I'll tell you thought."

"Oh she will be at no risk at all. It is all in the presentation. Like a proper feint on the battlefield, it is about making the enemy do what you want without exposing yourself to attack. What are your ideas?"

"She can go for a ride or a walk in the woods." He suggested

"That may give the assasain too many options of attack," replied King Holley.

"Another option would be to have a party at a night club." He commented

"Too crowed...gives the assailant too much of a chance to escape or commit the act."

ooc: okay, so basically my character is a suitor and the assassin. So I guess you will have to RP it like he has been there the whole time. If you have any questions, contact me by AIM, MSN, TG or OOC posts.

Just at that moment Baron Marquis d'Astuce walked into the banquet hall. Having slept through the previous night's events, the baron was quite unaware of what had occured. "Good morning to you..." he said as he came in beaming.

As he entered he made a deep bow of elegance to the king and princess. "Looking stunning as always, ma beauté" came the words as they rolled off his tongue with such refinement.

"Hello Marquis, how did you sleep?" Kevin asked

"Quite pleasantly..." he said as he greeted Kevin. "The rain always helps me... I find it rhythmic and soothing," he said with a smile.

"And you? How did you sleep?"

"I slept alright." Kevin replied wondering what bothered him about Marquis, even thought he'd only met him for a few minutes at the party.

"I slept wonderfully also, how are you enjoying yourself this morning?" An obvious lie but the King wondered quite harld how this man has slept through all of the action last night.

IC: James rose early, loaded his 9mm glock and proceeded downstairs. Guten morgen marina! He said in his native tounge. She smiled at him. he took his place at the table to hear of the events. "Might I add, said James speaking up, that the princess be escorted by some sort of entourage at all time. I beleieve this would prevent the assasin, from having an open opportunity to strike at marina. He looked deep into her eyes, with great concern. We need to volunteer in shifts, to protect marina. James raised his hand. "I volunteer to watch over Marina in the afternoon, if this counsel wishes it." James leaned back in his chair. He was ready to protect Marina no matter what. With his 9mm, he would do anything to defend her. He eyed the new suitor, but thought it better this time, to not mak any pre-emptive accusations. He withheld his statement.

Marquis stopped eating momentarily as the news of the assassin reached him and he fretted nervously.

ooc: Well seeing as it takes less than a second to add quotation marks and hit the return button for a new speaker, I don't think it would be much of a burden to insert them. I am not an obsessive-compulsive, I, like most RPers and human beings, prefer that the post is coherent and easy to read (and understand). And I am certainly not asking you to use perfect grammar, but to rather tidy up your post.

Seeing as I am not the first person to comment on this about you in this thread, I would appreciate it if you didn't get so defensive and hostile and just took a little criticism. We aren't doing it to be hostile but rather to make your posts better and make the RP smoother. It would gain you more respect if you took these comments with ease rather than hostility and we would avoid all these needless ooc comments about you.

There is no need to be hostile or even to reply to this comment. There are some things that are done as a courtesy on NS and many good RPers that have been around for a long time agree that coherent sentence structuring and the use of quotations is one of them.

"We were suppose to leave, last night b-, James halted in mid-sentence, to withold his personal feelings for Marina. He took a breath and resumed speaking. I deduce this assasin to be very clever, and an expert murderor. He is, in my opinion, in this castle, possibly at this table." Everyone eyed eachother nervously.

"At this table!" Marquis replied. "Are you guys crazy... he could kill us any minute. We need more security."

"Wait... if you were supposed to leave last night and get yourself out of this mes... why didn't you?" Marquis asked suspiciously.

James choked on his orange juice. He turned bright red. "Well, uh, you see I, um, we'll"... Marquis looked at him suspicously. "To answer your question, he said evasivly, were all here, the assasin would not dare attack. We could increase security, but there is no-telling when this unknown assasin will give up on his efforts."

"If," Marquis corrected. "Do you really think that this assassin, as you claim, wouldn't attack just because you remained? Seems like an odd explanation to me," he said suspiciously.

James smirked. "Marquis, as you may recall, I stated that in the presence of all of us, that the assasin would not strike. Marquis, you seem to be very uneasy by the situation. You feelings have basis, due to the fact that your life is at stake, but it seems, your quick to aqusation based on idle observation."

James wished to pursue this further, but he withheld.

If the assasain tries anything he can be dropped off of his horse immediatly. I shall go inform the King and the Princess of our plan"

James pulled out his 9mm glock, dislayed it (in a non-threatening fashion) and pocketed it again.

"Well it is nice to know what all of you are so well armed," Marquis replied, "Though I would assume that if this assassin is dedicated to the job he will be armed and prepared as well."

"So," he said as he finished his breakfast and wiped his mouth of any crumbes, "Whats our plan?"

"Well, when the Princess makes her appearance we shall discuss the idea at hand, the hunting trip"

Marina and her father returned to the table where the men had assembled. The young princess sat down between Lord Kevin and Wershak, "So...do we have some sort of plan drafted?" her voice drifted off, a little bit of nervousness traceable in her words.

"Since the primary idea is to go for a hike...since I have the perfect place we should go there. There can be dangerous animals so we shall have to be armed as well, even if we dont hunt."

"The rest of us could corner him, of course, we would have to develop some sort of clever ploy to do this, James said. OOC: Okay, i'll deal with your constant critisizm once again, let me slow myplan down for you:

1: Marina leaves in secret, escorted by a few of us.

2: Several of us stay behind, if the assasin is not at this table.

3: If the assasin stays or is to go with the princess, he will be caught by whoever is in the area (The castle, or the area of the hike)

4: This will create a "ghost" strategy, if the assasin is oblivious to marina's leaving the castle, he will seek her out, we will be able to search for him.

"I actually have no idea about the assassin... I am just trying to think a little more intelligently than you - I would rather not get killed because of a poor and insensible plan," Marquis retorted.

"Maybe I am missing something," Marquis interrupted. "If I heard correctly, James said the assassin is after the princess... why would s/he expose himself if he couldn't attack her. What would leaving soldiers at the castle do if he or she isn't going strike here?"

"I see your point, but what if he remains here and sets a trap for the princess, and she is killed while we can do nothing?" he began to get a bit competitive, but looked to Marina for inspiration

"That is a possibility," Marquis said as they though the idea over. "A plausible and possible one too," he commented, "Though I think that keeping the princess on a private island until the assassin is found would be wise."

"That is a possibility as well, thought I doubt Marina would enjoy or be fond of that." Kevin said

"Well of course... it is her and the king's decision after all," Marquis said. "Though I believe as King Holley previously suggested, we could travel to his private island in the mediterannean - I am sure it would be quite pleasant and warm."

"I think this is up to the princess in the end, and we should let her decide between our proposals", James said.

The princess was listening intently to the men's conversation. She didn't know much about military strategies but she couldn't for some reason, make actual sense of James' plan. Finally, she decided to speak up.

"Why don't we take a vote on it? I personally doubt that the assasin would stay behind, seeing as how he may be well informed about my family, it is likely that he'll be going along with us to the island..." she frowned, "I like the idea about going to the island, then there's no way out. However, I do want to be well guarded."

"Well it is really your decision in the end," Marquis commented. "And I don't know about my self, but the rest of these guys seem to be well equipped and have personally expressed their intent to guard you from death."

"I agree Marina, I doubt the assassin would let himself be left behind." Kevin said, "And I can promise I will do my utmost to safeguard you, I could do no less for the woman I love."

"Exactly, James said. We will defend you princess, no matter what the circumstance, however, I feel it would be wise to make your decision now."

"You want a decision now?..." said Marina. "I...perhaps it is better that we all go then. Surely, if he sees all the suitors coming along, he will be lured into coming as well. Once there, it would be wise to stick together, or in groups no smaller than two...just in case."

"Very wise decision," Marquis said. "And you thought you didn't know strategy," he gested flirtingly.

"Might I make one small suggestion Marina?" Kevin asked, "I'd suggest groups of three, as if it were groups of two, an assassin could theoretically overpower the other and claim the first person was the assassin."

"I agree, let us form groups of three," James said quickly.

"I also endorse this idea!"

"Perfect, I will guard you with my life, we shall go in three's" Wershak exclaimed.

"Well its settled then," Marquis said. "When shall we leave? The sooner the better, I feel," he added as he sipped a glass of water.

"Ich finde so auch, let us go, princess, shall we?" He offered a hand to aid Marina from her chair.

"Might I request that in future, you speak in english James?" Kevin asked, "And we must still await Marina's final decision on whether to accept this plan."

Marina laughed. "Oh don't worry I know some German myself!" She took James' hand and stood up. "I agree. Groups of three should be fine. That's actually why I said groups of more than two...just so the assasin doesn't hurt his partner and there being no one to witness it. Now...I do think this is an urgent matter. Perhaps it would be fitting to leave as soon as possible, maybe tomorrow if it can be arranged? What do you think?"

"Shall we then depart and prepare ourselves, for the ride to the airport and the short trip through the air to my island?"

"Aye. I believe that would be a good idea," Marquis said as he stood up from the table and wiped his mouth on his napkin.

He bowed to the King and Princess before heading back up to his room to pack his belongings.

"Let us go then. Oh, an marina, it is good to have someone know your native tounge, he smiled at her.

"I would suggest we don't set an exact time," Maruis added before he had turned the corner out of the room, "Perhaps not setting a date would keep the assassin off guard. Though it is just a suggestion - the decision is up to you," he finished as he left the room and headed upstairs.

James headed upstairs to pack his things. Millions of thoughts ran through his head, of countless opportunities for the assasin to strike. He woundered about Marquis. He was suspicous. James knew that he didn't trust him, but that gave him no right to accusate. Still, I am titled to my suspicions, he thought. He looked at his guest room. Small, with a few pieces of furniture. "Klein aber mein," James said as he smiled.

"Oh I shouldn't think that we will be gone for longer than three days or so."

Marquis had entered his room and packed his bags up. He hadn't brought much with him in the first place, so it took only a few minutes to finish.

James loaded his pistol, and put it in his coat. He proceeded downstairs, and took a seat in a chair. He closed his eyes, and dosed off.

Kevin packed a small bag as well.

Marquis came down a few hours later with his bags packed and ready to go. He slumped into a chair and waited for everyone to arrive at the main hall for their departure.

King Holley remained at the breakfast table, as he had no need to retreve his things, and pondered how he should go about making this killer show himself to the group.

Marina decided that it was best to not set a specific time span for their trip although she wished it to be short. Still, it seemed likely that the assasin attack soon after arrival on the island but who knew? The assasin could very well surprise them with the unexpected. The princess walked up the staircase into her room where her nana, Petra Ivanovna was found waiting sitting on her bed.

"What happened dearest? Will you go to the island?" said the old babushka with a worried expression.

The young woman shrugged. "Nichevo nana...nothing. It turns out that we are going, in groups of three should be safer though. I wouldn't want any of the suitors getting killed because of me!" Princess Marina sat down next to her nana and embraced her. "Ya lyublyu tebya..."

"Well let's get your things packed shall we? You need to get some rest before leaving tomorrow morning." Petra got up and began to pack Marina's suitcases.

James woke up in a cold sweat. His vision was blurred. When realazation of his surroundings came to him, he breathed a sigh of relief. In his dream, he had seen all the suitors murdered, by an unknown murderer, and at the last part of his dream, he had seen the derranged man approach Marina. Her screams were still fresh in his mind. He proceeded upstairs to check on her highness.

Princess Marina woke up from her sleep and proceeded to take a long hot bubble bath. She lay thinking about what would happen that day. Suddenly she heard a knock on her bedroom door. "Who could it be at this hour...it's still early." Grabbing her bathrobe she got out of the tub and approached the door, placing her ear on it. "Who is it?" she asked.

OOC: No prob! I have no clue how to add the umlaut. My best guess is to try and program your computer into using the German keyboard, then theoretically it would be there...good luck! I don't know much German anymore, I took two years of German in high school, but that was oh maybe a good 3-4 years ago, they got rid of the program during my junior year. *sigh* Oh well, I took 5 years of French so I s'pose I'm much much better at that if anyone cares to speak French in their posts.

James listened to Marina ask who was there. He swallowed. "It's James Marina. I sorry to bother you at such an hour, but I just came to see how your doing. He paused. "Marina, how do you feel, personally, about this island trip? Wie findest du? He said in a perfect bavarian accent. Do you feel comfortable with it?" He backed away from the door and awaited for a reply.

Marquis continued to snooze throughout the night from his chair in the main hall. When first light came, he would be awake and waiting for the rest of the party to arrive.

Kevin meanwhile was busy pacing as he was worried about Marina. He knew that everyone, the assassin being the exception, would do their best to protect her, but as the assassin was unknown he would quite likely know the plans and thus be able to plan around them. He also knew, but hadn't revealed, the ease a well trained assassin could kill someone as he would prefere not to have Marina scared out of her wits. He knew about these as his uncle happened to be a 'special contractor'.

"Ah it's you James! Guten Tag...about the trip? Ich finde es gut ja..." Marina was getting a little cold from the draft. "I'm almost finished in here, I'll be right out, don't worry."

Marquis woke up some time later and sat in his seat patiently. After a few minutes of waiting, he decided to sing a song to pass the time - as he had been trained in the classical arts and had taken many voice lessons. He thought back to a lovely song he knew, Les roses d'Ispahan, and began singing it in his tenor voice.

"Shall we depart then? I am assuming that we will all be going in my plane. That is if it is alright with everyone."

"We'll miss you Marina..." chimed in Natalya and Anastasiya. At that moment, her brother Viktor flew down the stairs.

"Hold on!" Viktor hugged Marina and slid something cold and hard into her hand then whispered in her ear. "Take this dagger with you and hide it well, it may be of use..." he said with a solemn face and a stern nod.

Throughout this her father was very still and silent. "Promise me you'll take no risks Marina." he frowned and turned to look at the suitors. "Please make certain she doesn't get herself into trouble...she tends to do that a lot." and with that, Vladimir Nikolaevich embraced and kissed his eldest daughter.

Lord Kevin spoke up, "Of course your Imperial Majesty, we will all protect your daughter with our very lives. You have naught to worry about, sir."

Marina and the rest of the suitors got into a large limosine that would take them to the Flamazonian airport for departure to the island. She was sitting in between James and Lord Kevin. Suddenly, the vehicle took off leaving the sight of the Imperial Palace terribly far into the distance. Even if she wouldn't admit it, she was afraid and for the first time in her life, had a terrible feeling in her stomach. *Someone will not come back alive from this trip...wait...how do I know that?* Marina's head slightly touched one of the men's shoulders and she nodded off to sleep.

King Holley quickly did the required pre-flight checklist, for his Dassault Falcon 7x, and the plane took off and headed directly toward the Mediterranean. Once over the sea, the plane was met by a trio of fighters from the nation of AndyTank to escort the King and his guests his island. The flight was quite uneventful and the majority of the passengers either slept or knocked back a few drinks.

Upon landing, Holley took the beautiful princess and the rest of the suitors to his large log cabin like hunting lodge in the woods. This wonderful retreat is nestled between beautiful mountains and the land meats the sea on the horizon.

Once everyone had settled in a conversation on what should be done the next day began!

“Of you find yourself in need of nourishment between meals please feel free to wander into the kitchen there is always someone in there that would be willing to assist you in whatever your dinning pleasure! Once Markus assists the princess to her room he can show you to any of the other avaiable rooms.”

OCC: Since we are in this kind of down mode you can talk to Markus and the cooks. As a note, Markus while small is not one to be trifled with.

James was amazed at the extravagence of the cabin. He walked around, observing his surroundings carefully. He picked up a book off a shelf. "A look into communism". He sat down and began to read with satisfaction.

Marquis dropped his bags in a random room before returning to the main area with the rest of the suitors. "I was going to take a hike and explore this area... anyone care to accompany me?" he asked politely to the other men.

"Either go alone or get two other people to go with you." Kevin said, as he slipped a book and headset out of his bag. He then decided he wanted a chicken sandwich and headed down to the kitchen.

"Ah, true. With the beauty of this place, I had forgotten about the "three person rule," Marquis replied. "Let me rephrase then... would two people like to accompany me?"

James was hardly able to pull himself from such an interesting book. 'Marquis, I would like to accompany you" "If I am, I am going to change into some proper atire, and also, I think i'd like to bring this book with me. It is quite interesting."

"That would be quite nice," Marquis replied already being in the proper outdoor attire. "Though take your time chaning... we still have to find another person to go with us," he said as he looked around to see if anyone else wanted to walk with them.

James was changed in 10 minutes. He came back down to the entryway, eyes pressed to the book. He was begining the chapter "The state controlled industrial complex and the common man" James looked up. "It's a shame Marina is ill." "Marquis, james gestured for him to lean closer. If no one else wishes to go, shall we just depart?"

"If you wish..." Marquis replied, "The 'three person rule' is just a precaution and it would be pretty obvious what happened if one of us turned up dead."

Marquis grabbed his coat, threw it on, and walked to the door. "After you," he said as he opened it to show the bright outdoors.

James stepped outside. He took a deep breath and took a good look at his surroundings. When he was outside Marqui's glance, he drew his 9mm, and made sure it was loaded. Cant be too carefull, he thought to himself. He put the weapon back and proceeded behind Marquis. It was warm, and his surroundings were lush. "Spitze!" James said excitedly.

Kevin returned to the living room, where he expected to find James and Maquis, with two large chicken sandwiches. Looking around, he wondered where the two had split to. He considered the idea that they'd gone for a walk but decided against that as they didn't seem that stupid and settled down to eat.

James walked along with Marquis stunned at his surroundings. He picked a walking stick, and walked on.
