The Lich General Maga noticed the massive Army coming at them. It did not take the two Legions long to notice they were out numbered and now definately out gunned. The Legions start to make a Fighting withdrawl from the Amerath camp. There goal the Portal that had taken them to this trap. The Necromancers and the Undead Dragon Thanalx and his rider guarded the Entrance of the Portal from the enemy while the Main infantry of the Legion fight there way back towards it.

The Electricity Dragon had been in the air keeping an eye out while his fellow surviving truedragons rested below. Noticing the retreat of the Undead Legion, he banked out of his patrol circle and started spitting lightning bolts at the enemy. Unlike before, however, these weren't full powered bolts as he still needed a little more recovery time. These bolts wouldn't vaporize, but they were still strong enough to kill, if not drop a person unconsious.

Hussarin spat on the ground. He was tired of never getting into combat. Due to the lack of men and women that were under his command, he could not afford to meet the enemy outside the dual-wall's perimeter. Hussarin was thinking maybe Amerath was not yet ready for this modern world.

Hussarin looked around him, making sure all of his surviving warriors were okay, and he noticed that all but one of his lesser lords were with him. Ozin had disappeared during the shouting.

The undead Dragon Thanalx unleashes a series of Negative energy blasts from his mouth. He aims them at the adavanceing enemies heading towards the retreating legions.

A very brave or foolish Necromancer casts the wail of the Banshee spell. The Scream meant to harm the living creatures was meant for the Electric Dragon that was disrupting the retreat.

OOC: Think Loud painful shriek that does sonic damage...

Seeing the undead retreat, the trebuchets began flinging orbs into the air. As the orbs flew trhough the air, they broke open and released their load of smaller orbs that shimmered with a fiery crimson light. Where ever the orbs landed, powerful blasts of scorching flames engulfed the area around them. The mages of the First Army began channeling their magic and summoned bolts of fire, lightning, and ice from the sky to fall upon them. The Divine Seekers drew back their bow and soon the air whistled with the sound of arrows infused with holy energy flying toward the retreating undead. Letting out a loud warcry, the elite crusaders and swordsmen charged while the priests stayed back and cast spells of protection and strength upon them.

The dwarven mortars and cannons began firing as the elves bombarded the dead. The shells whistled through the air, cannons plwing through the undead and mortars creating great gouts of flame. 'Magic... pfft...' Anaba thought. The main dwarf battle line began forming, crossbow bolts flying at the undead. The battleline began marching after the fleeing dead, dwarves never gave ground and would always pursue a coward like these. Zombies, used to be you fought them till you joined them or pulped them!!

The Remtkaran dragonknights and Dwarven gryphon riders continued blasting the enemy from above, making sure to steer clear of the electricity dragon's attacks. No point in friendly casualties, after all. As the undead turned and retreated, several of the dragons moved closer to the ground in order to torch the fleeing enemies with their fiery breaths from behind them.

Then the Wail of the Banshee came, and while none of them were in the direct path of the spell, as it was aimed at the electricity dragon, it was still painful to the ears of the aerial creatures and their riders. The flyers screamed back their discontent, and the riders veered them off to the side to get away from the sound.

Another trumpet sounded from the ranks of the Remtkaran allied army, and half of the cavalry broke off and began racing towards the undead army to cut them down at the flanks. But then came the undead Thalanx, and when combined with the incoming missiles of the trebuchets, cannons, mortars, and bolts from the elves and dwarves, the grounds became much too dangerous for the cavalry and they moved away from the fleeing enemies.

The five Ianorean archmages began chanting together, and soon the ground below the retreating army started to tremble and quake in order to slow them down.

Meanwhile, Gaervin, the dragonknight who was here several days ago, guided his dragon Ariadell over to Hussarin's encampment. Landing on the nearby cliff, he shouted to Hussarin on the wall's battlements over all the noise, "Greetings! I have returned with the hosts of Remtkara, Underkingdom, and Ianorea. Your tribespeople are safe from those monsters, and soon your lands shall be as well!"

The three runesmiths decided on the spell to use. Although dwarves do not LIKE magic, they know it has their uses, from shifting stone to keeping forge-fires hot. One thing they had always excelled at though, was dispelling those cast by enemies. They turned their knowledge on the howl which threatened them and their new allies, their voices chanting low. The dwarf battle line began marching forwards, singing battle songs or issueing challenges to these cowardly dead, Malaki out front with his guard...

The Legions had taken heavy causilities. 200 zombies and skeletions and 400 humans were killed in confusion. The enemy bombardment was not helping matters. The Legions rear ranks were starting to head througth the portal.

The Lich General Maga cast a few Dark bolts towards the enemy barricade with the hope of hiting some of the enemy arterliery.

The Necromancers started to casts spells at the enemys that kept firing upon them. The goal weaken the enemies resolve in shooting at the fleeing Legions.

The Vampire General Sarin saids, "The Lich Emperor is going to have our heads for this failure. I hope we can at least hold the Shadow Forest." He then enters through the portal.

Hussarin didn't answer the call to him, he just stood, looking at the field with an empty stare. The Arkanin stood next to him, greeting the new comer.

"We thank you for your help."

Hussarin turned and began to walk away from the wall, towards the camp he had set up, his axe was being dragged behind him as he went. As if some unknown signal went out, all the warriors turned to follow their lord, even the remaining lesser lords followed. The Arkanin stood his place.

The elder sighed, "They're just sullen because he hasn't be allowed to spill zombie blood since the first breach he fought in. Please excuse him."

"Hell if I let them get away without a fight," muttered Kimura. Forming several handseals, he spat several balls of fire into the air. The balls exploded into explosions of red blue and green like signal flares. Checking that all his equipment was there, he disappeared in a swirl of wind and reappeared right behind the retreating Legions.

The anbu stared into the sky as the flares went off. Nodding to each other, all anbu quickly vanished in a swirl of wind and leaves and reappeared near Kimura.

Dashing swiftly yet without making a sound, they drew kunai with explosive tags attached to them and threw them at the Legions. With a hand signal from Kimura, the anbu quickly organized themselves back into their three man squads.

As they drew closer, some anbu began throwing random jutsus at the Legions. Blasts of wind, streams of fire, bolts of lightning shot toward them. With another signal, they all drew their katanas and prepared to cut into the enemy ranks.

----------------1st Army------------------------
Several bolts of negative energy caused dust to fill the air and obscure the engineers view. One mage used a wind spell and blew away the dust. Before the bombardment could begin again though, several more bolts slammed into a trebuchet and set off several fire orbs that lay near it. A large pillar filled the air as the area around the trebuchet was incinerated. Priests rushed to heal those they could and pray for their fallen.

"He will have the opportunity yet," Gaervin said to the Arkanin. "I suspect the creatures of the undead will not give up so easily. Nay, they will return, and they will not be so easily routed the next time. I must go now, but remember, the undead shall not prevail!" The dragonknight took off, his dragon gliding back towards the main body of the Remtkaran army and landed near King Orodullin.

Getting off his dragon and approaching Orodullin, he greeted his king and said, "My lord, the tribespeople have been told of our purpose here."

"Well done, Sir Gaervin," replied the king. He looked out onto the battlefield. "I suspect those armies giving chase are not those of the tribesmen?"

"They appear to be the armies of other nations coming to the aid of these people, much as what we are doing," answered Gaervin.

The king nodded, "Then our task shall be much alighted." He watched as wave after wave of undead rushed through the portal. Speaking to the wizard, Raszoral, he asked, "Where does that magic doorway lead to?"

"I cannot be certain," said the wizard. "However, the other end of the portal is likely not too far away, for the amount of power needed to keep open a portal of such size and for such a large army is immense. A far distance would be a severe drain on the caster of the portal."

"In the forest, then?" Gaervin asked, looking at the dead line of trees in the distance.

"That would be my conjecture," Raszoral said with a single nod.

"Then we must discover the exact locale of their base and strike them when they least suspect," said the king. "First, however, we must know the full capabilities of the undead army. I will not risk losing any men needlessly in that forest. Gaervin, collect as much information as you can from the tribesmen under siege."

"Yes, my liege," Gaervin put a fist up to his chest and bowed slightly before going back to his dragon and searching for that Arkanin he just spoke to.

OOC: Soragakure, doesn't that mean your anbu guys are right in the way of all the cannons/mortars/arrow bolts?

OOC: They aren't quite close enough for hand to hand combat yet. They will be soon but right now only stray arrows or missiles would be dangerous to them. The trebuchets will be switching ammo soon enough.

IC: Seeing that the anbu had already begun pursuit, the engineers switched ammunition. Instead of burning fire, they pulled out large rubbery orbs filled with holy water instead. (Think giant holy water ballons) Once ready, they began firing again.

OOC: The Grand Legion would easily wipe that out. I should probally just force a bunch of Legions together and send them your way. That would at least give your people more of a fighting chance..

OOC: If Dragon Emperor, Warshrike, and Soragakure all get back into the RP, we can probably at least hold off against the Grand Legion long enough for Amerath to fall back. That's supposing Amerath's willing to make a tactical retreat.

IC: The high elves let out sky shattering cheers of joy as the undead retreated. The two anbu captains assigned to follow Ozin did their best to avoid running into anyone as they followed him. He had appeared rather dissappointed with something, but what was it?

As Kimura and his anbu halted their assault and returned to the main army, Kimura couldn't help but feel that something was terribly amiss. Performing a handseal, he summoned a small phoenix. Finishing a small note, he gave to the phoenix and said, "Take this to the high council now. Something's going to happen I just don't know what." Nodding, the phoenix vanished in a burst of fire. Turning to face the woman that accompanied Grim, Kimura bowed low and said, "Greetings milady, how may we be of assistance?"

Aziluth, capital of Soragakure-------
The high council had just been ready to call it a day after giving a recon team their orders. A flash of fire alerted them as the phoenix reappeared. Taking the scroll from the phoenix, a council member read the note slowly. Shakingly he said to the others, "Kimura-sama has just given orders for the two remaining Anti-Demon Armies to be deployed and to give orders immediately and for the members of the S-S-Sacred Order to be alerted." The councilers gasped in shock. "Are you certain?" asked one. "Yes here see," replied the first. "So be it," said several of the members. Nodding, the rest agreed to send out the messages immediately.

Aldenheim, headquarters of the Elite Second Anti-Demon Army----
The bells of the great Cathedrals rang out throughout the city calling the Second Army to arms.

Himmelstein, headquarters of the Elite Third Anti-Demon Army-----
A messanger ran quickly into the Grand Cathedral at the center of the city. The army had just bee given orders to mobilize as soon as possible.

Aziluth----------------
Hitomi sat in the corner of the Guilded Tree Tavern. Sipping her drink, she mulled over the rumors that filled the air. Something about the Sacred Order was being called out to help in the war on the plains of Amerath. Wasn't the Sacred Order just a legend though? Really now, who could possibly believe that there was a small group of 7 people who when fighting side by side was capable of utterly annihilating the First Army without breaking a sweat? No way that could be possible she thought.

OOC: If we force the battle into a stalemate where neither side wins, I'll make my tribes disappear into the wilderness.

IC:

Ozin was there, he hadn't done anything since the battle. He now just milled about the camp like the normal lesser lords. But he still had something wierd going on around him...

Hussarin however, stood quietly on the wall. His great axe was off being sharpened for whatever future was in advance. The elder Arkanin walked up to him.

"Lord Hussarin, what causes you to seperate yourself?"

"All I see are large numbers of undead retreating, but that doesn't mean their destroyed. I feel as if they are grouping up for something.."

"Yes Lord, it does seem that way, what with elves, dwarves, and dragons appearing. It all seems to say we are in for a big war."

"No, Arkanin, I doubt it will be a war. I would not allow Amerath to be dragged into that. As soon as our lands are safe, we will take ourselves away from the eyes of this world until we are as powerful as these fellow nations."

"Yes Lord, that is wise." The elder nodded, which seemed to que the two to head back to the camp.

OOC:Just so you know, I rp dwarves like in the Dragonlance books/Warhammer. Apart from things that go boom they have a fairly odd way of mining... Im sure they could be... altered... for war...

IC:Malaki and the dwarven warriors turned back to the elven camp as the dwarven mortars took one last shot at the dead. He stomped over to Kimura. "Cowardly bastards!!" He was angry. Denying him combat like that!! "I say we pack up and march within the hour!! And by the way Elf, Your scouts may have told you that not all of our men came through that bastardly portal with us. They have returned to our hold, not out of cowardice like those blasted undead, but for re-inforcements. Provided we have beat back those Orc's then we should have many good hard men coming!!" He shifted his axe as the dwarves shouted after the undead. Ill not go in to what...
