(Let's get this mess started)

The war with the Republic had gone to the way side as a strange calm set in the Abh Empire. The economy was quickly stabilizing and the fleet was being repaired after losing numerous ships. Purchases from the government and Neo Zeta have helped the process along. The large surplus of Super Star Destroyers mostly just sit around without being used. They were mostly for planetary defense but never to be used in battle.

A scouting party was being sent out to unexplored reaches space around the Empire. 200 Patrolships and 100 Guardships were sent out to explore nearby systems and make contact with any lifeforms there. The supply fleet was about an hour behind since this fleet was deep scouting. As far as it was known, this reach of space was claimed by no one and bordered by no one.

A Sord had been found in the dark reaches of this area and it was being explored. Admiral Wakapale walked across the bridge of her ship as they were taking energy readings from the area.

Chief of staff come walking up with the updated report. "As far as we can tell, this sord is unknown to us. It is possible that it leads to a completely new corner of the galaxy that we have not seen yet. What are your orders?"

Wakapale thumbed her saber as she thought it over. "We are scouting. Let's explore the Sord and find out where it leads. Tell the Supply Fleet to follow and inform HQ of our findings."

"Yes Admiral."

The scouting fleet activated space time bubbles and entered the sord along with the supply fleet close behind. Two hours later had the fleet out of Plane space and into Normal space. This sord strangely lead to a single system with a star and only a few orbiting planets. Though they could have been moons for all they could tell.

"Alright. All ships are to fan out. Send out a hale to anyone that may be here telling them that we are from the Abh Empire and are only exploring this system."

The brid was quiet while they waited for a response. Energy readings started coming in and the Senior aviator had a worried look on his face. "Ma'am, I am detecting multiple readings coming from around the planet but it's like nothing I have ever seen before."

"On screen." The visual was truly astonishing. A strange Spider-like vessel (http://www.shadowtech.net/images/Wall%20Paper/Babylon%205/Babylon%205%2003-Mini.jpg) appeared.

"What on Earth is that?! Shields up! Go to battlestations now!"

The Neo Zetan Empire was pumping its econemy into building the Ultra Star and Project Ultra. The fleet was being streamlined. The fleet would now number 1,732 Frigits or larger when the Project is done. Down from 6,300

The 12th fleet with 300 ships were near the Abh border just resting from the wars that had ended. Not knowing what darkness would soon enter.

With most of the Holy Empire of SeaQuest's funds being funneled into the building of a new Goa'uld designed flagship, construction on all other vessels was halted. In the meantime, the current SeaQuestian fleet was zipping about the void, exploring the unkown. An Asgard built Beliskner class long-range mothership, the Jera, was heading towards a system near the edge of the galaxy. The only thing they knew about this star system was its name, Z´Ha´Dum, the co-ordinates had been found in an Ancient database buried under a mile of ice on a frozen moon. A single O'Neill class advanced long-range warship, the Isa, was flying escort.

It was peaceful in the darkspaces around this system. Two Class B Battle Crabs just activated one of the hidden ships beneath the surfaces of one of the crust, trying to regain the Shadows full military capactity. The ship, a Class C Battle Crab, was over 3 kilometers in size. With the support of the two Class B Battle Crabs and the 100+ Shadow Fighters, this small group could take out large fleets of the younger races.

Sensing a disturbance, the three Battle Crabs entered into a formation and closed in onto the coordinates where this "disturbance" would appear. Normally, the vessels would be cloaked, as their fighter escort was. However, since activating the Class C Battle Crab, the vessels uncloaked in order to speed up the process.

30 more fighters were launched, in addition to the 30 that were already out due to the mass of this disturbance. The Class C Battle Crab was not at full capacity, however would be in a short period of time. But, battle would come before this happens!

In front of them, a fleet of unknown origin appeared, and upon detection of the small formation that the Shadows held, activated their weapons and shields. This was taken as a hostile action, and ignoring the messages being sent by these vessels, the Shadow formation started firing. And, as if out of thin air, all fighters engaged the fleet. None were to be left alive, and the fleet would chase these down until all were destroyed.

Z'Ha'Dum

On an intercept course, two Class C Battle Crabs entered hyperspace to destroy two vessels that were about to enter the region where the Shadows had domain. It was not long before the two large vessels of Shadow origin came into weapons range of the SeaQuest mothership and warship, and without warning opened fire on the Jera, concentrating their firepower on the vessels power core. The intent was for total destruction, of both ships.

OOC:
The Jera should be destroyed, while the Isa escapes. Most the fleet should be destroyed, with a vessel that was disabled being ignored. Otherwise, the Shadows would track it down per their usual doctrine and destroy it.

OOC: Mind if I has some troops on your transports already Abh? Easier for me to get into this, cause I'm kind of noob in this. I'll edit this if your answer is no

ICRP: In the holds of several of the Abh Empire ships, troops snapped to attention. These were the Armed Republic's best soldiers. Through the embroyo augmenting process implemented recently in the Republic, these men were the best of the best. Standing at 2 meters tall and wearing armored spacsuits, there were truly a site to behold. They had been sent by the Rpublic on the Abh Empire's expedition in case they were needed. Each carried a modular weapon system that's roots drew back to the Colt M4 from long ago.

"Alright men, this is why we were brought along," Commander Skykes Zecker addressed his squad.
"Get your weapons hot and life support on. If that... thing turns hostile, we're going in. Double time to the boarding pods, and await further orders. The pods have been set to put us in a 500 feet area along the side of it. We will rondevous inside and clear it out then bring it back home if possible. Otherwise, we scuttle it. That is all gentlemen. Good luck and Godspeed." He saluted, and the soldiers broke off into their boarding parties, heading for the pods that would bring them into the strange new vessel if necessary.

IC: The massive fire power of the Shadow ships took the shields of the Jera in a matter of minutes. The purple beams began to slice the ship up into chunks. The Asgard aboard the Beliskner class ship moved Rune Stones around on her console. The Asgard ship's teleporation beam activated sending the ship to the Command Room of the Isa. The two Asgard watched as the Jera was consumed in a ball of flame as all three of her neutrino reactors went critical. The weapons of the O'Neill class ship were proving effective, if not efficient, against the swarm of Shadow fighters. However, not even the might warship's shields could withstand the punishment for long. The Isa had multiple hull breaches. On the bridge, a few girders had fallen forming ramps from the floor to inside the ceiling. The two Asgard chattered at each other in their native tounge. The pilot moved a few Rune Stones on his console. The heavily damaged Isa came about and lept into Hyperspace.

OOC: All Asgard ships have a crew of one. I intend to RP it like that.
Hell-Spawns
03-10-2005, 06:37
The Hell-Spawn fleet was ready to strike. As the battle started 3 cult class Battleships and 3 cult class Torpedo ships. The battleships aimed at the smaller guardships, and support vessels- The Life Takers aimed at the Isa, before it jumped. Even though the Isa was gone the gurad ships where still there. The battleships unloaded all their Puncher cannons, and the torpedo ships luached hundreds of dark matter torpedos at them as well Hell-spawns ships are few in number but strong in themselves. The Torpedos traveled just behind the puncher cannon rounds.

The Shadow attack cut through one Guardship like a hot knife through butter. The ship split in two as bodies fell out and the reactor was hit, detonating seconds later.

"Blast! Fire all weapons and make a retreat!"

Patrolships fired their Electromagnetic rifles but had no affect on the ships and were being destroyed by the score. The Guardships faired somewhat better with their high powered energy weapons and in turn became a target for the focus of the shadow's fire power.

"Get the marines into stasis. I don't want to lose a single man. Have Abh guards escorted to armored area. I want the flagship to begin its retreat into the sord. How many ships have we lost?"

"So far 50 Admiral. And we are losing more by the minute."

"All out retreat. Fire mines to hold the ships off and engage all anti-matter cells."

"We can't! The mines have no affect on them. The only thing that works are the Guardships energy weapons and they are being hard pressed just to keep from being annhilated."

"Blast! Full retreat! Send the signal. I want all ships out of this system."

The Mothership Titian recieved orders from the High Command to engage the Abh vessels. This would be a violation of Abh Deatharon and Neo Zeta peace but the Shadows had made a really nice offer. The Mother Ship Titian and the 5th fleet recieved orders to launch a surpise attack on the Abh. The Deatharon Fleet lumbered to there targets ready to destroy them and hopefully leave no witness behind.

Communications officer caught the approach of the Deatharon fleet incoming approaching their position. "Admiral! Deatharon fleet approaching."

"Good. We could use some reinforcements. Tell them to cover our retreat and then tell them to get the heck out of here."

Communications officer sent the message but he recieved was the least he had expected. "Admiral! They are firing on our ships!"

"WHAT?! Tell the Guardships to move into squareformation and make it's way back to us."

"Admiral it's too late. There aren't that many vessels left and more Unknown ships are beginning to approach."

"Blast! How far are we to the sord?"

"There now Admiral."

"Alright. Activate Space Time Bubbles and get us back to the Capital. We have to report this to the Emperor."

The Flagship and remaining 50 vessels entered the Sord and were heading back to Lakfakalala. Almost all ships were damaged and hundreds had been destroyed. This posed a grave threat to the Abh fleet. If their electromagnetic rifles and mobile mines were of no use, then they really didn't have much in the way of firepower.

Warning Klaxons blasted in the hull of the Abh emire ship. The order came through the PA system, "All crew, report to the cryo decks. All crew report to their cryo decks." Sykese herd the message, and called it in to his soldiers. There were grumbles from his men, but they did as they were told. Skykes himself went to the brdige to find out what was happening in the battle outside.

"Greetings Admiral," Skykes saluted and waited for the admiral to salute back.
"Things are going bad out there. Those unknown ships have more firepower then anything we'e ever seen, and now the Deathron navy has joined the fray against us." Get your men into stasis, we're running now."
"Aye aye sir."

So, those beings have contacts among us. We may have lost this round, but we're not done here. were Zecker's last thoughts before going into stasi for the trip back to the Abh Empire....

The Flagship finally exited the sord on the other side. Admiral Wakapale walked over to the comm. "Commander Zecker, your men may come out of stasis. ETA to the Capital is 20 minutes. Your presence will be requested at the war room once we arrive. You're not out of the fight yet."

About 20 minutes later, the listing ships made it back to the capital.

The Flagship was docked and the Admiral saught out Commander Zecker.

Zecker and his men wiated in the war room, giving the Abh empire inteligence people the little info they got from the fight, and uploading there helmet cams so the techs could view the feed of the unknow ship and the Deathron navy in the fight. Then Admiral wakapale entered the room, and the commandos snapped to attention.

IC: Admiral Wakapale walked into the WarRoom and saluted the commander and his men. "At ease men. The Emperor along with the Seven Admirals have been called in for this. We are going to need a full effort on this. Once Emperor Dusanyu arrives, we will begin while the rest file in."

Several minutes later Emperor Dusanyu (http://www.jasms.de/anime/seikai_s/dusanyu01.jpg) walked into the room. Wakapale snapped to attention saluting the Emperor. "Your highness, we have Commander Zecker and his men here to show video feed to show the battle situation."

The Emperor looked at her from under his brow. "And what is your annalysis of the battle?"

"Truthfully. We were outmatched. We had superior numbers but were overwhelmed nonetheless by a few ships. We were cut down by superior weaponry. It also appears that Deatharon has forgone the treaty and sides with the new enemy. They ambushed us as we were retreating."

The Emperor sighed and then looked at the Commander. "Let me see your video feed."

The Fuhrer Alfred Von Antheron was speaking to the Shadow that had persauded him to forgo his treaty. The Shadow's promised a weapon to destroy all enemies of the Inter-Galactic Confederation of Deatharon. The Fuhrer due to the gentic experiments done to himself left his mind easily suspectable to suggestions like the ones the Shadows so often used to get permission to hide bases in hidden systems in the Aries Supercluster. The Fuhrer waited for the Fifth Fleet and hoped the Abh had not reconginzed the Fleet.

"Alright Emperor, here is what we got from this engagement. Keep in mind most of this was taking from the inside of a boarding pod, so the images aren't top notch, but you can see most of the details." Skykes pulled a memory chip out of a slot in his suit and slid it into a receptical at the bottom of the holographich projector.
"You'll notice that the feed starts 5 minutes after the craft was first sighted. That was when I received the order to get the troops ready for boarding. Most of the video comes from Eric Krytson, who was in the pod closest to fight. You can see here the enemy ship, I believe we are calling them "Battle Crabs" now is going into combat routines. You can clearly see their energy shields coming up and their weapons charging. Here we see one of your ships getting cut up by the weapon. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before, notice how clean the cut is, almost like it is guided. Then we see what appear to be fighters (http://www.b5tech.com/shadows/shadowships/spitfire.jpgl) coming after the fleet.
They are fast, and carry weapons almost as powerful as the ones on your capital ships, and you can see your ships dropping like flies. It is then we receive the retreat order, but just before captain Krytson exited his pod, he saw what appears to be Deatharon cruisers. YOu can barely see them here." Skykes pointed at a mass on the corner of the hologram. He continued,"They start to shoot, and that is when we pull out of system. I think we have reason to believe the Deatharon's have made contact with these beings before, "shadows" as you call them now. You can see how the shadow capital ships ignore them right before the feed is lost."
Skykes rose to his feet.
"With your permission Emperor and Admiral Wakapale, my men and I would like to stay here and fight with you. There's no need to panic the citizens of the Armed Republic of Paintcheck, and you'll need us in the battle ahead."
Skykes waited for an answer.

Admiral Norton Juster, commanding officer of the SeaQuestian station, put down the PADD containing the Asgards report. He clasped his hands together and leaned foward.

He looked at each of the commanding officers of the ships docked at the station and said, "It would appear that the rumors about Z´Ha´Dum were true. The Shadows control that system. The info the Vorlon ambassador gave us was correct," he glanced at the report, "Now, according to this report, their was an unidentified ships engaging the Shadow vessels. I want someone to search out these people and see if we can enlist them as allies. The Minbari records on the last time the Shadows awoke state that they tried to take control of the universe. We can't allow that to happen. Are their any volunteers for this mission?"

None of the ship captains spoke. Silence reigned in the room for several minutes. Admiral Juster rose an eyebrow.

Captain T'Kar, commanding officer of a G´Quan class heavy cruiser, the G'Kar, said, "I will take this mission."

Admiral Juster replied, "Then you shall leave when ready. Dismissed."

Everyone got up from the room and went to do their respective duties. Captain T'Kar headed for his ship so that he could start preperations for their departure and the beginning of their search for the alien ships the Asgard had seen fighting the Shadows.

The Emperor sighed as he watched the video feed. "I feared that Deatharon would turn us if they were presented the oppurtunity."

Dusanyu looked up at the commander while he had both hands on the table and was leaning on it heavily. "Your men may stay. We will need you in this battle."

He then turned to an attendant. "Contact the Neo Zeta government. If these beings attack us then they will most certainly attack our neighboring allies." The attendant saluted and walked out.

"Contact Admiral Spoor, Admiral Trife, Admiral Bebaus, Admiral Rulef, Admiral Mustef, and Admiral Wakapale I would like you to stay. It's time to bring the seven admirals together and discuss how we are going to fight this war. Also call in Lord Rahl from Neo D'Hara and Doron. You may have trouble finding him but do try to locate the young man."

Dusanyu looked back towards the commander. "What can you offer us as aid?"

Captain T'Kar was about to order his ship to launch when his communication officer suddenly reported, "Captain, you have a message from the Admiral."

"I'll take it in my ready room."

T'Kar walks to a door that leads off the bridge and enters his office. He sits down at his desk and activates the built in computer interface. A screen rises from the desk's surface and lights up with the face of Admiral Juster.

"Captain," Juster said, "before you depart, you should know something. A Minbari ambassador will be traveling with you. Command feels this may be a first contact situation and the ambassador they have sent us is one of the best. Her shuttle will be in your hanger in a few minutes. Thought I should let you know."

T'Kar asked, "Just who is this ambassador?"

Juster replied, "Her name is Delenn Mirr."

The Neo Zetan goverment got the message and was a bit sad.

It seems our hope for rest is gone for now. We will send The Head of the Military the Vorta Weyoun with 500 ships to your capital

The Minbari ambassador's shuttle landed in the hanger bay of the G'Kar. The ambassador was shown to her quarters.

Meanwhile, the ship undocked from the base and headed for the edge of the star system. At the system's edge, the mighty vessel sent a signal to the Jump Gate that was floating in front of it. A swirling blue vortex opened. The G'Kar entered it, thus making a jump to Hyperspace. The vortex closed behind her. The ship's active sensors were sweeping as far as they could reach for any sign of the alien vessels the Asgard had seen fighting the Shadow ships.

The Admirals had finally arrived by shuttle and were now entering the room. Admiral Trife (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNM-11/SNM-11-15.jpg) was the first to enter and was his usual hot headed self. Spoor (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNSII-08/SNS2-07-07.jpg) ignored everyone except the Emperor inwhich she gave a curt bow and then salute. Admiral Rulef and Mustef came in together which was their custom. It was rumored that two were in love and were having a secret relationship.

Last but certainly not least of the seven admirals came walking in. Admiral Bebaus (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNSII-04/SNS2-04-06.jpg) , a man who came from a family that was cursed with "spectacular insanity." It had still yet to be determined if he was afflected with this condition or not.

The last two guests, Doron and Richard Rahl, would not arrive for some time since they were on the other side of the Empire. The Emperor stood to face all in attendance. "It seems we are dealing with a foe that is beyond our understanding and technology. Their weaponry is superior and so are their defenses. Projectile weaponry has been deemed ineffective against this enemy. We are going to be relying on Guardships and the Attack Vessels. I know it sounds insane to mix light attack ships with heavy cruisers but we must use what works. Our strategy will have to be sound as we cannot afford to lose this battle. We cannot let these things reach the capital or it will be endanger of being destroyed and we shall be without a home."

Weyoun beamed aboard at the same time that Doron and Lord Rahl arrived. They both greeted the man and escorted him to an elevator that would take them up to the war room.

Spoor was appauled at what she heard from Dusanyu. "You can't be serious! Fighting ship to ship is absolutely barbaric! We will incurr far more casualties fighting this way than our conventional method. There has to be some other way."

The Emperor crossed his arms and nodded. "What does it matter if it's barbaric or not? What matters is that we win no matter if it is elogant or not."

Bebaus had a sly smile on his face. "Well I still hope that this battle will have some artistic flare. Nevertheless, the 7th Fleet is always ready to fight for the honor and glory of the Empire."

Trife grunted at Bebaus's remark. "What are our chances for victory?"

However i have come to learn in my countless wars that alien tech is more advanced but uselly mush more diffrent then our own. We just need to adapt to it. As for fighting with a artistic flare... Zecker barely hesitated, "We are Paintcheck's best, and our forte is disrupting enemy fleets from the inside. We board the ship, take out the crew, and either bring the ship back or scuttle it and move to the next one. If those Battle Crabs show up again, we'd be gald to bring it in for you. This time Skykes stopped short. This was the kind of question every commander dreaded. Why do they always have to ask this?" Skykes sighed and finally said, "I really don't know what to tell you. Against the Shadows, the Emperor is correct. Ship to ship is the only way to combat them untill we can find a way to beat their weapons and shields. If my men and I can capture one, it will tip the odds in our favor a little, especially if you can reverse engineer its technology. The Deatharons shouldn't cause too much trouble, they fight with mostly conventional ships, desite those ships being large and possessing a lot of firepower, they're layouts aren't too deferent and they should be too hard to capture. If the fight comes here, especially now, when we aren't expecting it, it could be disasterous. If we take the offensive, at the very least we would have surprise on our side."

Right after this sewntence left Skykes's mouth, warning klaxons came on in the war room. "So much for surprise." As soon as they started howver, the sirens stopped. "Must have been and asteroid or something." Then the report came from the garrison commander.
"Looks like something just got too close." Came the reply from the commander.
'Emperor, that proves my point. If the battle does come here, we have almost no chance." He let the words sink in before continuing.
'With your permission, I have an idea that might help should that blip have been a scout or something similar."
The klaxons cameon again, though this time the garrison commander reported Deatharon ships coming in wepaons hot.
The Emperor turned towars the Commander. "Now would be a good time to tell me commander."

Later, in the weapons locker.

"Alright men listen up. Our Deatharon friends are here and they want to play some hard ball. Lucky the Empire left those anti-cloaking stations operational or this would have been a really short fight. I don't think anyone outside of our respective governemnts knows we are here, so that should be a nasty surpirse when we take on of their toys and...break it. We're going straight for their brain, you've done this many times before people. It will be dangerous, but with the emperor's help I've come up with a plan to get us in."
"The Abh empire has some old ships that normally serves as drones or targets. They are fully armed and functional, and we have mounted our boardings pods on them. We have also mounted several hundred punds of explosives on the engines and throughout the ship. We will launch with the rest of the fleet with our ship being controlled remotely by someone planetside. When we get close enough to the mothership, the explosives will detonate, making us look like a derelict in space. When those explosives go off, we will go to radio silence. The computers on the pods are already set, all we have to do is get out there. Once we take control of the Mothership, we will lland it back planetside after doing as much damage as we can with it. Try to keep the captain and other officers alive so we can get some intel as to what they are up too, but your survival is more important than theirs. They have no troop carriers, so this ship probably won't have too many soldiers on it, since they are probably clearing the way for the shadows to finish the invasion."
Skykes paused, "Any questions?" There were none. Good men, they understand everything.
'Alright, we launch in 5. Grab the schematics chips from the table, it will help you find your way around the ship once we get on. We won't be on for long, so carry as many batteries for your weapons as you can hold."
Skykes hoisted his rifle and connected it to the battery pack on his belt. Satisfied that it was charged, he started to the ship they had chosen, the Executioner. Fitting name for what we're about to do, take the head right off their body. Skykes thought as he boarded the ship.

OOC: Paintcheck, sorry but could you answer the Emperor's question before you go off fighting? I'll leave the ships for you at the capital and rig them so your men can pilot them. There also won't be an Admiral at this battle for some time. You'll have to contact the garrison commander when you get there, if he is still alive.

IC: The defense stations would be positioned behind the Abh defensive fleet to act as rear support and to fire from a safe distance using torpedoes and large Anti-Proton cannons. The enemy fleet was too large for surround attack so other methods of defense would need to be imployed.

Guardships formed a crescent with the bulge facing the enemy forces. Patrolships would square off the Guardship section with Attack vessels intermingled as defence against missles and fighter craft. Guardships had mines fueled and were ready to launch but were saving them.

Patrolships were locked and loaded and crews of the Attack Vessels were waiting for the battle to begin. Message was sent to the capital informing the Admirals of the impending battle and requesting immediate support.

The Armada was in position as the Fighters launched out of there carriers bays. The Assualt had begun with the Confederation attempting to smash through Abh Defenses. With Missile and Point Singularity fire. These heavy weapons were supported with Phasers and Distengrator fire. The Point Defense were ready to opened up on any mine that headed the fleets way. The Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt Sent this message to the Abh:

By Order of the Fuhrer Alfred Von Antheron we have been ordered to crush your evil Empire in the name of the Fatherland. The Humankind Abh will be no more once our Confederation wins this most noble Crusade.

OOC: Paintcheck, all Shadow ships are living organisms(sp?) and have no crew or interior space. The are solid, organic vessels that use the mind of a person (Human, Narn, Abh, whatever) as its central computer. Just wanted to clear that up.

IC: The G'Kar jumped to normal space to make a sweep with her sensors. Weapons fire was detected very close to her position. They had jumped out right on top of the battle at the edge of the Abh Empire's space. The computer did a quick analysis and matched the Abh vessels with the ones the Asgard had recorded fighting the Shadow ships at Z´Ha´Dum weeks ago.

"Captain," said the helm officer, "we have matched the the ship designs that were added to our database by the Asgard to some of the ships out there. We have also I.D. several classes that were fighting with the Shadows."

"Lauch the fighters," ordered Captain T'Kar.

"Aye, sir."

The G'Kar spewed out her compliment of twelve Frazi class heavy fighters. A transmission was broadcast to all nearby ships.

This the U.E.O. heavy cruiser G'Kar. We have come seeking to join the fight against the Shadows and all who aid them.

The Frazi's moved into a protective formation around the G'Kar as she moved to join the Abh ships in battle. Her gun ports were issuing forth vibratory distruction. Her two particle lasers and six pulse cannons were belching energy at the Deatharon ships.

20 outdated Patrolships (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNM-11/SNM-11-18.jpg) were in dock waiting for the commander and his men to board. The auto pilot was set for the battle and a rigged joystick was fixed to the directional column for a human to pilot (pretend you are flying in a video game basically)

At the battle, attack vessels engaged fighters with abandon and used their anti-proton cannons heavily. A few patrolships went down in the first few moments of battle but Guardships kept up their steady stream of fire using all energy weapons at their disposal and EM rifles.

The sargeant looked to the commander as the battle raged. "Sir, the Patrolships are in trouble. Shouldn't we have them swing wide and let the Guardships take up the fronline and put the Patrolships and attack vessels in the rear as support?"

The commander only smiled. "No. Let them keep fighting and keep bringing the Deatharon fleet closer. It's all part of the plan. It will be more obvious when fleets arrive from HQ."

The report of the Holy Empire's aid came through on the comms. "Finally some support. They are most certainly welcomed here."

The Emperor looked at Weyound. "It seems your Deatharon friends wish to fight us."

He then settled his gaze on Rulef and Mustaf. "Admiral Rulef and Mustaf. You have one hour to prepare your fleets. You are to report to the border and assist the garrison. You only have five hours to make it."

The two saluted and walked out rather closely for some reason. The Emperor sighed. "Those two will die in each others arms one day."

It was a peaceful night in Sector 13 of the Rigil Kentauris star system. While a large armada of Battle Crabs had amassed here, awaiting orders from Z' Ha' Dum, there was no movement at all. Cloaked, the vessels waited patiently as the battle plan was drawn out. For entering into the territory of the Shadows, the races that make up the nations of SeaQuest and Abh will perish. Chaos will reign supreme in the galaxy, and the Vorlon's will not stop them this time.

There were thousands of Battle Crabs that had been activated and rescued from the crust of the many planets in the galaxy, in order to complete this task. The majority of the capital ships in the fleet had captured human telepaths as their central processor, in order to fend off their biggest weakness. While races have used telepaths to disable the shields and weapons of Shadow vessels in the past, it would not happen again.

Suddenly, out of no where, the main star in the system went supernova. It was time to act, and the destruction of those that opposed their ideology would be swift. The fleet made formation, and seperated into 4 parts. The two larger fleets headed towards the capital system of Neo Zeta, making the assumption that since Abh has contacted them, they would move a large amount of their military assets outside of the system in order to deal with the distraction that the people of Deatharion were "kindly" providing. The leaders of Deatharion weren't the only ones with thralls, but the Shadows were mainly using them as fodder.

Two fleets, each with 90 Battle Crabs(15 Class C, 50 Class B, 25 Class A), phased into Hyperspace, headed on the journey to Neo Zeta intent on it's destruction. Intent on keeping balance , the Shadows deployed a small force of 15 Battle Crabs (5 Class C, 7 Class B, 3 Class A) to assist the Deatharion's in their fight against Abh and it's allies. The rest of the fleet (with the exception of 50 Battle Crabs that would head to investigate SeaQuest's invasion of the Shadow's space), literally hundreds upon hundreds of Battle Crabs, and numerous Death Clouds, entered Hyperspace on the journey to Lakfakalala, where the Abh fleet that battled the Shadows retreated to, intent on the destruction of those ships (following the Shadows modus operandi).

It has started, and it shall end in Chaos.

IC: The Frazi fighters shot down many incoming projectiles with their two 52mm pulse cannons. Meanwhile, the G'Kar sent a message to SeaQuest command for reinforcements. Luckily, a Minbari fleet was practicing maneuvers a quick Hyperspace Jump away. The Minbari designed ships emerged from their minute long trip through Hyperspace to assist their fellow SeaQuestian vessel. The fleet was composed of fifteen Sharlin class war cruisers and twenty Tinashi class war frigates. Each Sharlin let loose with its eighteen gravitic neutron cannons, eighteen gravitic fusion beams, twenty-four electro-magnetic fusion guns, twenty-four electro-magnetic fusion beam guns, forty-two electro-pulse guns, and one antimatter cannon. Meanwhile, each Tinashi let loose with its fours gravitic neutron cannons, eight fusion beam cannons, four electro-pulse guns, and one antimatter cannon. Several Deatharon craft were destroyed by the concentration of firepower from several of the newly arrived SeaQuestian ships.

The Fleet Marshal recieved news about the incomeing enemy ships. He decided to hell with protocol. Fire The Psy Cannons at the incomeing hositles. The Avatar of the Fleet confirmed the order. The Psy cannons powered up and fire at the incomeing Sharin Warships. The massive wave of Psyker energy would shake up any close up assault. The War Cruisers start unleashing hundreds of Beta Class warheads to deter the Tinashi vessels. The A.I. Battle grid started targeting the enemy fighters with point defense phasers. The Dinstergrator cannons opened up at the Seaquestian vessels showing no mercy. Three Squadrons of Gaurda Heavy fighters heads toward the Frazzi Fighters intent on destroying them with there rapid fire Point Singularity cannons.

OOC: I did the math. The full compliment of 15 Nials from the twelve surviving and undamaged Sharlins means you have 180 new fighters coming at you, plus the 12 Frazis from earlier. Oh, and I would like the G'Kar to survive this battle as the Ambassador aboard that ship is going to be one of my main characters. Though, the ship will be heavily damaged, but she will survive. Is that alright?

IC: The damaged Sharlin's main power was off-line and was drifting away from the battle. The two damaged Tinashi, though at half their fighting strength, continued to fire the weapons on the side that had not become partially melted and fused by the enemy weapon.

Meanwhile the twelve Frazis and the 180 Nials began to break into individual dog-fights with enemy fighters. The class A agility of the Nials and the class B agility of the Frazi allowed the SeaQuestian fighters to perform stunts around the Deatharon fighters. All the while pummeling them with weapon fire.

Also, just to let you know, I haven't, yet, revealed any of my carrier class ships in any thread or post.

IC: Two of the surviving Sharlins teamed up and both focused all their fire-power on the same enemy ship. Ship after ship in the Deatharon fleet was destroyed in this manner. The Nials and Frazis were continuing to dog-fight with the Deatharon fighters, though the superior numbers of the enemy fighters was making itself felt. thanks for the reminder Seaquest, I did know that, but the characters in the RP don't, at least not yet. And now we're fighting the conventional forces of Deatharon, so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for watching out for that though. And Deatharon, could you accept the capture of your command ship? If so, I'll make that the target. I'll continue this after i get the answer, probably in another post.

The men climbed into their boarding pods and waited for the take off order. Skykes slid into his pod last and keyed in the launch sequence. The ships took off, and the autopilot kickd in, directing them towards the Deatharon fleet.
"Alright boys get ready to go into radio silence, we're going to break formation and then blow the explosives. They're rigged so we don't all blow at once. Once the explosives go, set your timers for 5 that's 5 minutes untill pod launch. The target is the Command Mothership. Secondary target is one of the Hive ships. Everyone understand?" The radios clicked twice to indicate the order was understiood.
"Alright, once we get one, standard procedure anyone with a gun is kill on sight unless they drop it on the first order. Anyone with a buzz baton or tazer is take alive unless they put up resistance. Stay stealthy if possible so they can't get a communication off. Shouldn't be a problem in these thick-skinned warships."
A beep was heard in the Commander's pod.
"Alright, blowing explosives now, go to radio silence untill we land on one of the targets."
Skykes blew the explosives. The 5 minte timer started. Skykes waited for target confirmation from the garrison.

They hit the side of the ship and held. Drills extended from the nose of the pod and drilled a man sized hole into the side of the ship. Then the front of the pod lowered, creating a seal between the ship and space so no Vacuum alarms in the ship went off. Skykes dropped through the hole and found hmself in a deserted hallway with signs pointing in different directions. They were written in Deatharonian what is Deatharon's language? Skykeks scanned them with his visor. A few seconds later, the translated language showed on his helmet.

We welcome the help *Explosions in the background. Loud banging as support girders collapse through the bridge's ceiling.* We have more reinforcements arriving, E.T.A. is two hours. Hang on, I have an idea.

A transmission was sent from the G'Kar was sent to all SeaQuestian ships with Jump Engines. Those ships proceeded to open massive Jump rifts inside the Deatharon fleet and closing them a few moments later. All Deatharon craft caught by the rifts were destroyed instantly. A vast chunk of the enemy fleet was vaporized.

OOC: As the Hyperspace Jump Gate is a vortex between two dimensions, anything caught in it when it closes or in the way when it opens is instantly vaporized. Also, here are the classes with Jump Engines that I have in-system and are able to open the Gates (I don't feel like doing the math right now): Sharlin class, Whitestar class, Bluestar class, G'Quan class (the G'Kar), and Vorchan class (I think). Not sure on that last one.

OOC: Deatharon's primary language is a form of Antaran. You can try and capture the Command Mothership but let it be known the security there can be pretty difficult to beat.

IC: The D.N.A. scanners picked up foriegn life forms. The D.N.A. computers had no matchs for these lifeforms. Thus the Phaser Turrerts activated and an alarm was sounded. The Marines aboard the Command Mothership moved out towards the infected area. There orders destroy the enemy. The phaser turrets open fire upon the intruders. These Phasers were designed not to damage the walls but to take out living targets.

OOC: The Marines are Gentically Engineered humans. They are about 7-8 ft tall and are trained for internal ship warfare. They have a pride System that they follow.

IC: The Ithkul Harvest Hive Fleet fires Ion Cannons at the Abh ships. The goal is to halt them so the Hive cruisers can board the ships and devour the crews. The 4th Fleet supports the Ithkul assualt on the Abh by targeting Abh Attack vessels. The 1st Fleet led by the Fleet Marshal was taken the brunt of the Seaquestian assualt. The 10 Antaran Battleships head towards the Asgard Warships. The Antarans and the Asgard are both Elder Races this would even the fight. The G'kar was targeted by the Point Singularity cannons. The Cannons were meant to take out the G'kars engines.

OOC:
If you used Jumpgates as a weapon, you would be draining your ships of energy. It takes a massive amount of energy to open a Jump Gate, so much so that generally weapons go offline when activating and travelling through the Jump Gate. And a ship wouldn't be vaporized, but opening and closing of gates to quickly would cause a decent sized explosion... 3 gigatons or so.

The small fleet of 15 Battle Crabs emerged out of Hyperspace right behind the SeaQuestion fleet, and immediately started firing upon the G'Kar. Over 100 Spitfire fighters were launched as soon as the Battle Crabs exited Hyperspace, and started collapsing the jump gates of anyone trying to enter the system. All vessels that were in the Jump Gate transvering through Hyperspace were instantly destroyed.

The battle would come out in favor of Chaos.

IC: Captain T'Kar roared, "Status report!"

"Sir, Shadow vessels have entered the battle and have opened fire...on us! We have multiple hull breaches. The fire from Deatharon ships have brought our engines down to 50%."

"How long till reinforcements?"

"30 minutes, sir."

"Broadcast an emergency call for help on all frequencies," orders T'Kar.

"Aye, sir."

To all ships in range of this communication, we are under attack and are unable to hold out much longer. Anyone who hears this, please send aid. *explosions in background* I repeat, we are under attack and can't hold out for much longer.

The ships that had opened the Jump Gates lost most of their firepower as their capacitors recharged. Meanwhile, those ships that didn't have built in Jump Engines surged forth and began to pummal the enemy ships. The Al'Kesh began to pommel the the enemy capital ships with their bombs and targeted the enemy fighters with their dual Staff Cannon turret. The Vorchan began to dog the ships that were attacking the Asgard vessels by 'nipping at their heels'.

OOC: You are just lucky I haven't brought in the Ancient city of Atlantis. Oh, and note that not all of my ships use the Babylon 5 version of Hyperspace, the Goa'uld ships and the Asgard vessels use the Stargate version. Plus, there are still the fighters and the Babylon 5 ships that don't have built in Jump Drives, like the surviving Tinashi class war frigates. Oh, and just to point one thing out, Minbari ships use a type of artificial quantum singularity as their primary power source. A byproduct of this type of energy is the antimatter that provids ammo for the Sharlin class war cruiser's, and some other classes, Anti-matter Cannon.

@Doujin: Oh, I noticed you didn't bring the Shadow's Puffer class carrier, so I don't see how you could have that many fighters 'launching'. I know the Shadow's Spitfire class fighter has Hyperspace Phase ability (allowing them to Phase into Hyperspace without opening a Jump Point (just like all Shadow ships)). It not that I have a problem with your launching fighters, just I don't think the math is accurate.

The 3rd and 4th fleets finally arrived on the seen with a total of 2000 ships. 500 Frontlineships, 600 Guardships, 800 Attack Vessels and 100 Patrolships. The garrison forces were down to 100 Guardships and 150 Patrolships and this aid was greatly appreciated.

Admiral Rulef and Mustaf shared a flagship for this joint operation and each were in charge of a particular part of the battle.

Mustaf headed the Guardships and Frontlineships. "I want all Frontlineships to report to the rear and prepare a mine volley on Deatharon forces. Send Guard squadrons 1 through 8 to assist the Holy Empire in fending off the Shadow vessels. That's half, do you understand?! They are to position themselves so they are back to back. They are to use only energy weapons since projectile weapons are of little affect."

Rulef was in charge of overseeing Patrolships. "All Patrolships are to immediatly charge along with the attack vessels into Deatharon forces. Drive them back and we will use the remaining Guardships to bring back lifepods and any powerless ships."

500 Frontlineships positioned themselves behind all craft and opened all mine ports preparing to fire. 300 Guardships went to the aid of SeaQuest against the shadows. The remaining forces charged into Deatharon with a broad formation to cover every ship in its attack. EM rifles fired into other ships while attack vessels used their anti-proton cannons on vital areas of Deatharon ships.

OOC: For the purposes of this RP there are a thousand ships per fleet. In RL it would be more. Also if anyone ever wanted to kill Admirals on an opposing side then I give permission with these two though I still won't make it easy if you decide to.

IC: The Death's Head Harvester Fleet took action agaisnt the Abh 3rd Fleet. The 4th Confed Fleet engaged the 4th Fleet. The goal was to use hit and run strikes along both fleets and cause both fleets to go into chaos. The Ithkul would then devour them one by one. The 4th Confed Fleet Marshal ordered a counter volley of missiles to stop the incomeing Abh mines. The Point Defense Phasers strike at multiple incomeing mines. The shields also do there best to hold off the mines. The Ithkul Harvester Fleet opens up with there own weapons. They use Disrupter cannons and Ion Cannons. followed by D.N.A. missiles.

The 1st Fleet sends out Antaran Raiders to harass the Vorchan ships.

The surviving ships in the SeaQuestian fleet continue to bombard the enemy. The Al'Kesh managed to destroy a handful of capital ships through concentrated bombardment.

-snip-

@Doujin: Oh, I noticed you didn't bring the Shadow carrier class, so I don't see how you could have that many fighters. So, you can't "launch" fighters, not without a Puffer class (and each Puffer holds around 15 fighters if I recall correctly (its a non-cannon class but it is in a game mod I have played)).

Well, there are many contradictory evidence on the compliment of fighters each Battlecrab has. One of the more respectable sites, in my mind and the one I use mainly, says that the upper tier of the Battlecrab houses a wing of approximately seventy-five spitfire fighters, with a possible total complement of two hundred.

B5Tech says 40. And, also, you do realize that all Shadows fighters have hyperspace capability?

Abh Capital System
There was a lot of activity in the capital system of the Abh empire. Traders, merchants, some military vessels are scurried across the system trying to get to where they were supposed to be. Unfortunately for them, they were unaware of the destruction that was about to reign down on them.

Stealthed, over 100 Battle Crabs, along with 1 Death Cloud, exited Hyperspace with Spitfire escorts, numbers totalling to around 500 total, with several hundred more fighters docked in the Battle Crabs waiting for action. Unfortuantely, there were 30 more Battle Crabs in Hyperspace with the sole purpose of closing Jump Gates that opened into the Abh system, preventing help from coming.

The Battle Crabs started engaging the closest targets, not differentiating between civilian and military craft. At the center of the Shadow fleet, the Death Cloud headed towards the nearest planet, completely engulfing it as the rest of the Battle Crabs and fighers numbering in the thousands now started attacking any and all targets that appeared.

The Death Cloud, now completely engulfing the planet, started launching thousands of multi gigaton missiles that would burrow into the planet and head towards the core, to blow it up from the inside. This would have the effect of turning the planet into a radiated core, essentially as if there was no crust and the Death Cloud would sap the thermal energy from this destruction to convert into more power for it's weapons.

It didn't take long, the planet was a vast wasteland as the Death Crab sucked the energy from the now radiated surface. When the nanites were done taking all raw resources possible from the planet, it would be a cold lifeless "rock" just taking up space.

Laser cannons went into full force as the targeted the DNA missles. Those that did get through, the order was given to immediatly abandon ship to prevent infestation.

Patrolships continued the charge determined to bring Deatharon vessels down with them. Attack vessels changed their focus from ships to any incoming missles and bringing them down before they could do harm.

The War room was rocked with blasts from Shadow vessels as the alert went up through the entire palace. The Emperor ran over to the emergency counsel. "Activate defense grids! All ships on standby are to form up behind the main planet below. Keep them low and out of sight until they are ready to move. The defenses and shields can with stand harsher attacks then this and we can return fire just as rough."

Trife looked down at the command grid. "Your Highness it appears that it is too late. Our shipyards are being attacked and the planet below has been destroyed. Thankfully it was uninhabited."

Spoor looked over at the Emperor. "What about the Victory and Excalibur?"

"No good. The Excalibur is the only one that is battle ready and the Victory is still going through its testing phases. Besides just one of those ships won't hold off this attack. They need a fleet behind them for support. You all know what happens when they fire their main weapon."

Wakapale was the only one that had a solution. "Activate our last defense measures. Get all engineers to monitor the Space Time Generator for the capital. We'll move it into the sord so that our people survive." She looks over at Trife. "How much time would we need?"

"At least two hours to mobilize it and a half hour to get it into the Sord."

Wakapale looks at the Emperor. "I will lead what forces are left here against the invaders to by you sometime to move into the Sord. If there are any of us left then we will join you there."

Lord Rahl and Doron both wore grim faces. "We'll shall accompany you. There will be 5 SSDs here shortly for your support. Doron and I will lead our own. Rally as many Guardships and Attack Vessels as you can. Send the Patrolships and Frontlineships to get cables and begin moving the Capital."

Richard then turned to the Emperor. "I will take all of our remaining forces to Neo D'Hara where they will be safe. From there we can track you in plane space and rejoin with you. All sensitive shipyards are there anyways and we can join you with the new Heavy Destroyers along with the new Whitestar fleet."

The Emperor nodded. "Never before has a human climbed so high in regard of the Abh as you have Lord Rahl. Our Empire is indebted to you."

Richard thumped his fist to his chest and bowed. Then all three left to the room to prepare for the battle. Outside, ships were scattering to take cover and wait for reinforcements. Fusion cannons, Anti-proton cannons, high enery beams, and everything conceivable was thrown at the Shadow vessels to fend them off from the capital. The turrets numbered in the Hundreds for the large structure and all were being put to use.

The advanced sensors, thousands of years more advanced than anything these younger races could conceivably imagined, detected something was amiss. This was the reason why an additional 70 Battle Crabs came out of Hyperspace with an additional 2000 fighters launched within Hyperspace right on top of the capital planet, targetting and destroying anything with a high energy rating.

Meanwhile, across the system the Death Cloud started engulfing another planet, with the civilian population numbering in the millions. The Shadows vessels were slaughtering anything that moved, and even things that didn't move. Moons were destroyed by the fire from the Battle Crabs Slicer beam, and the debris entered the atmospheres of neighboring planets causing what seemed to be a tidal wave effect of energy across the planet's surface.

Locating this "Space Time Generator," numerous numbers of Battle Crabs started firing at it's location, and using their advanced emissions technology to generate an ion field that prevented it from being activated. As usual with the modus operandi of the Shadows, the fire upon the location of this generator would not cease until it was destroyed.

On the other side of the planet, Battle Crabs and Spitfire fighters started carving up the surface of the planet, in a direction heading towards the Imperial palace. While the planet wasn't going to be destroyed itself, it would be put into chaos with the crippling of it's government, which would hurt the Vorlon's more than it's destruction would.

OOC:
I want to avoid any time manipulation, because that brings into play a whole dimension of roleplay that I like to avoid. You can't exit a war with the Shadows unscathed, as only a few races survived the grand conflict. I'm not going to destroy the capital, only this other planet I made up because I love huge civilian deaths. After this, I'm going to make moves on SeaQuest and Neo Zeta, and then maybe the Shadows will either disappear or engage the Vorlons, but as the Vorlons aren't as advanced they would lose that battle. (The Shadows came into exist much earlier before the Vorlons did).

IC: The 5 SSDs arrived as promised and Doron along with Richard were heading to their prospective ships. Wakapale headed to her Flagship that was still in a secure dock. All made it out safely. Wakapale's forces were prepared behind a far moon and it took several minutes to reach them. 1500 vessels total. A large part of the Empire's fleet. 200 ships had already gone down in the attack by the shadows and more were dropping each time they waited.

800 Guardships and 700 Attack Vessels would make up the defense supported by 5 SSDs. The super star destroyers were the first to begin the defense of the capital since they jumped nearby and humped it the rest of the way in. Shields were set to maximum and weapons were fully powered.

Torpedoes and lasers opened fire on the battle crabs. The smaller fighters were ignored for the most part as they pushed their way through to the capital. Once there, they would set up a permiter boosted by the defenses of the palace.

Wakapale's fleet was a half hour away and would converge on the rear of the shadow fleet.

Inside...

The blast to the Orb generator shook the room. By this time the engineering staff had taken the place of the five that left. "Your highness, the generators can't take too much more. Right now they are doing no damage to the capital but are merely preventing us from leaving."

For instance, in the case of the 70 additional Battle Crabs that just exited Hyperspace attacking Abh's capital, 2000 fighters were launched in Hyperspace and exited with the fleet. The capacity, assuming a flat 40 fighters per ship is 2800. Same thing with the 15 Battle Crabs that came and attacked your fleets, I cited 100+ - with the minimum of 40 i could have 600. Since there are 3 class sizes (A, B and C) I'm going to probably operate under 40 for A, 75 for B, and 200 for C. I will also, for this roleplay, be using a Class D with a capacity of 300, as it will be a "Mothership" of sorts, a Battle Crab that is double the size of the Class C, with the weapon power being double that of a Class C Battle Crab.

Ishtar Captial System of the Milky Way Colonies

The Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt watched his battered Armada litterly limp to the safety of home territory. There was still the matter of the enemy soldiers in his ship which he planed on having exterminated once soldiers from one of the Spacestation could come and beam aboard. The Fleet Marshal Sighed and thought, The Fuhrer will have my head for this horriable failure. He then turns to the A.I.'s Avatar and saids, "Do what ever it takes to kill or capture the enemy in the Command Mothership. The A.I.'s Avatar responds, "Yes sir, Nano bots on the way."

We grant you permission to destroy your crafts. We will send shuttles by to retrieve all of you. Please make preparations so you are ready once we arrive.

10 Calikes exited nearby Attack Vessels and made their way towards the captured fighters waiting for the crew to be ready to leave.

A message was also sent to the Holy Empire's vessels.

We thank you for your aid in this fight. It is doubtful we would have lasted long without you. You have our gratitude.

The alert came over that the capital was under attack by more of the Shadow vessels.

"Blast! They are calling for reinforcements. Leave 200 Guardships to boost the garrison here. The rest of us will head back to the capital. That leaves us with 1,300 ships to lend aid."

We were glad to help. Perhaps we could pool the data we have on the enemy. We will send you the co-ordinates of our nearest station. It is out of the way and not exactly 'official'. It should be a safe harbor for now. Our undamaged ships will head their straight away to notify them that friendlies are inbound. Also, if you would like, our inbound fleet will be diverted to any co-ordinates that you wish to provide any aid you require.

The message was followed by a transmission that contained a string of numbers that located a point using galactic latitude and longitude. Also included was a map with a key.

Meanwhile, the few undamaged SeaQuestian ships jumped to Hyperspace and headed to the nearby station.

Mustaf looked to Rulef as the alert finished coming through. "What do you think we should do?"

Rulef paced back and forth while looking at the tactical display grid. "Send all damaged vessels that cannot fight to the station with the Holy Empire where they may repair. The rest of us will head to the capital and defend our home. Inform the garrison commander to send coordinates to the incoming SeaQuest fleet of the capital. That is where there aid will be needed now."

Mustaf having no problems with her nodded. "All ships capable of still fighting are to head back to the capital. The rest are to head for friendly ports for repairs. ETA to the Capital is at one hour."

About 300 vessels either stayed with the garrison or went with SeaQuest to make repairs. This left only a thousand ships to do battle with the shadows. There was no question in anyone's mind. They knew what they had to do and as one, the remaining fleet headed back home to save it.

The damaged ships that survived the battle limped to the nearby SeaQuestian station.

Six hours later...

"Commander, we got incoming."

"Friendlies?"

"Checking transponders....Yes, ma'am."

The station sent a message to the wounded ships arriving near the planet it was orbiting.

This is the Babylon class station, Emerald City. We have dispatched fighters to guide you in. We have also dispatched ships to tow the ships with disbled engines from the battle site to here.

While the Commander's message was being sent, the station's 48 Starfury class fighter craft launched. Half would guide the incoming ships into the yards, while the other half would keep a lookout for any incoming enemy craft.

[OOC]I was hoping you wouldn't leave the battle with me still on board, but that's ok. Also, firgured I would explain my weapons now. The troops use a rail gun that fire a superdense projectile at speeds so fast it turns into a slag-like substance. The force from this hitting shatters every bone in the targets body without even penetrating, making it hard to stop with body armor. The ammo has varying levels of density for shooting different targets, the ones my marines are using is a standard round. There are wall busters that are dense enough to pass rigt through walls, and pentrators for putting holes in things like Titanium, but they don't work against humans or other beings like them. The magnets are powered by batteries that are inserted into the weapon like magazine.[OOC]

The battle in the hallway was still raging, but Skykes knew they didn't have much time left before they were over run. He had already lost half his men, the disintegrators didn't leave anyone alive after hitting them.
"They're watching us, they have to be, they always know when to charge us," said Skykes already battle weary. "There's no way through the hall, we're going to have to make our own way through." One of Zecker's surviving soldiers nodded and pulled a breaching charge out of his pack. He set it on a wall. "Alright, on the count of three, detonate the charge and deploy smoke so they can't see us." We'll have to leave the wounded behind, hopefully Deatharon honors the POW code That thought made Skykes hesitate, but he knew their only chance was to move as fast as possible. "3! Go!" The smoke covered the area and the wall was blown open. Skykes and the surviving men ran inside the new opening, and started heading for the bridge of the ship. He took a last look at the wounded men and started running, hoping not to be surronded. He tried the Garrison, hoping another boarding party could be sent in to retrieve the wounded.
"Garrison, this is Skykes. We've taken heavy causalties and are on the move again. If you can, try and get another straffing run going." Nothing but static on the other end. Shit, they must have jumped, looks like we're on our own again. Our only way out of here is to capture this ship or in a few years in a prisoner exchange. Skykes hoped it was the former, but never in his 10 years of ship boarding had he ever encountered anything like this. He hoped the Deatharons had found the wounded and were giving them medical help.

The elevator stopped 5 feet from the door. They got more Psy flowing damnit, so close. A 2nd thought crossed his mind We can have some breathing room now, they can;t get us in here, atleast not for a while. He took this time to brief his men.
"Our objective is 5 feet away. The Marshall is probably guarded heavily now, so we don't have the element of surprise anymore. Hopefully we can flash the suckers before they can barricade themselves. Do not kill the field marshall under any circumstances. We need hom to do 2 things. 1 is to pilot the ship. The 2nd is to get information about these shadows. Hopefully they won't turn this into a standoff by bargaining with our wounded. Do not let them hurt those men, it's better we all come home when this if over then if they start executed our guys. If they do use them as such, back off and do what they tell you alright? We obviously can't go through that door, because every gun in the room will be pointed there. So, we go in from the roof. We set a charge on the door to look like we're going to breach it, then deploy smoke and cut a hole through the ceiling. Half the squad goes through that and drops into the end of the bridge. The other half goes through the door. The ceiling half will drop flashbangs from the ceiling before you go in. Everyone understand the Rules of Engagement for this? I'll rephrase them, because this has to be absolutely perfect. If they use our wounded as a chip, back off. Take the Marshall alive. Take the bridge as quickly as possible, and set a course back to the Abh Empire and hope we don't get shot out of the air before we land. Once the bridge is ours, we will barricade it and use the Marshall as a hostage. We transmit to Abh that we're coming back. Only do that after we have completely secured the bridge. Everyone understand?"
The marines acknowledged the orders.
"We have some standing room at the bottom of this shat, but it will be hard to get through that door quickly. Start setting the charges. Krytson, you're in charge of the door team. I'll lead the ceiling team. Once we're in position, I'll radio, when you hear the first banger go off, blow the door and charge in."
The orders were carried out, and soon Zecker found himself right above the Bridge in the vent shaft. They know we're up here He dropped the first banger. It went off and then all hell broke loose.

Can you shoot out of your shield or is it just a shield that nothing can penetrate? I'm assuming you can't, it won't let anything through beacause of your statement,"They were going to strike once they were in postion to do so..." but correct me if i'm wrong.

Skykes dropped through the hole first, adn sent a stream of slag towards one of the unarmored marines. A shot hit Skykes in the shoulder, and he hit the ground in pain. The other units starting spilling through the 2 holes, shooting at the unarmored marines and at the ones in the shield to no effect. The men, seeing that the shield couldn't be pentrated, started taking up positions covering the entrances and barricading all the ways in.
One of the medics was tending to Skykes's arm.

"Unlike you, I have a sense of honor." Skykes realized a milisecond too late that that was the wrong thing to say. "Tell that marine to drop his rifle and join you in your shield. You have my word we won't fire on him." Skykes moved to check out his man. He was a private, private Lazz Recking. Zecker's gamble didn't pay off, he was hoping for the negotiator.
"Recking, how are the others? Are they being healed? Has that bastard sicked any of those Ithkul on anyone?" Recking said they were being healed and were being treated pretty well, and no, the Ithkul hadn't dined on anyone..yet.
"We have less than 2 hours before they dock at their home base. Have any ideas? That bubble thing the Marshall is in is a problem, we don't know how it's powered or how to break through it. Humans can pass through it without it going down, but nothing else can. Our slag just bounces off, even the wall busters. They aren't dense enough. We're stalling now, but we need to end this soon." The Marine threw his rifle down the hall and ran to the shield. The Shield let him through without smashing him agasint it. The Fleet Marshal looked at his men and thought and slowly came up with a plan. If he could stall them for about two hours the Wormhole Gate would send them to the Space Station then the Ground soldiers there could elimenate these pests once and for all.

The Fleet Marshal saids, "As a Senior officer of the Confederation I can not allow you to take this ship. however I will offer an aletnerative we have long range fighters that could get you to a neutral spot so you can leave in peace with your men." The Fleet Marshal was lying through his teeth and he feared that if the Abh got a hold of one of the Command Motherships the confederation defenses plans and military strength would be at there disposal. That was unacceptable because of past relations with the Abh that would give them clear plans to defeating our defenses in this galaxy and in the Aries Supercluster.

The long range fighter offer was tempting. Skykes came up with another plan. He turned toward EKrytson and spoke in a low voice, "Find an open terminal and stick this disc in it, do it inconspiciously. The disc is feeding straight into my suit. It will download everything in the mothership's memory." Skykes figured he could slice through the code and download all the information on the ship and then take up the offer for the fighter. He had to stall for a little longer.
"I understand your attachment to the ship, and the fighter offer is tempting. I want access to a terminal top send a message to the Abh so they know where to pick us up. Give us a half hour. I want enough fighters for all my men and..." Skykes felt the ship lurch beneath him. Crap, don't have much time left, that was the jump to the wormhole, only an hour left. Hopefully he'll let us have the terminal, and hopefully they'll be enough time to get some info. Skykes also hoped that the Marshall wouldn't figure out what he was doing before he got the information.

For all I know you are trying to look for files that are highly classified plus the ship security system will pump posionious gas in here if you fail to get the correct password within a ten minute time frame and quite frankly I am not sure this shield can hold off the gas."

The Marines were nearly in position to leave there shield and attack the enemy soldiers. The Marines had watched them and started to respect them but they had a job to do. They all prepared for the strike. They would throw a plasma grenade at the enemy and run behind the shield. This will hopefully kill or wound all of them. The Psykers could then turn off the shield and switch to the phaser turrets that were still in the walls deactived.

Last post for tonight

Right when the shield went down, Skykes and his men dove behind cover. After the blast subsided, Skykes and 5 other members of the squad ran after the Marshall, hoping to catch him before he could make it somewhere safe. The other members secured the bridge with Eric Kryston in command. He fired a stream of slag at the nearest marine and then ran for the controls. The fight was over in moments, the 5 enemy marines didn't have the numbers to combat the Skykes and his men. The unarmed marine who brought Recking in was flex cuffed and gagged on the deck. Krytson started hacking the controls, trying to turn the Psy energy off so nothing would work. He then sent a communication to the Abh and Seaquest fleets:
Anyone who can hear this, this is Captain Eric Krytson of Skykes Zecker squad. We are deep in enemy territory and have taken the bridge of the mothership. Zecker and 5 others are chasing after the Marshall, hoping to take him alive. We are trying to jump to Abh space, but the A.I. is locking me out. Will send info once encryption is cracked. Any help is appreciated, we don't have much time.

Skykes ran faster then he ever had in his life. The Marshall didn't have that much of a headstart, and Zecker was determined to take that doublecrosser down before he escaped. He fired a shot that whizzed over the Marshall's head, hoping to slow him down.

Lets see if there's a manual override. He checked on the terminal next to him. Good, we're getting some data from that computer. I can send that out soon. "Nope, only the Marshall can do that, at least untill we crack this damn A.I. open."
Great, I'm deep inside enemy territory with the controls to the ship in my hand and it won't let me turn it around. We will process any possessions you have with you and will return them to you upon your departure. Any questions?"

The wounded Abh ships were led into docks where repairs began almost instantly. Meanwhile, Commander Aldriss sent her message again, this time with a slight addition.

Feel free to leave your ships for repair. If you feel that you must rejoin the fight, their are four Ha'Taks docked at this station that have been experimentally enhanced. Though they have not been field tested yet, you are welcome to use them. They have been modified to make the controls more universal. The standard controls remain, for emergencies, however, the Emperor had us put in Abh style control system in a second command center.

"Goddammit!"
10 minutes later Krytson still hadn't broken through the A.I.'s security systems. With the ship locked down, at least they had some breathing room, but in 10 minutes they would be docking with Deatharon Prime, and then it would be all over. Soldiers would beam aboard and it wouldn't even be a fight. Suddenly, he had an idea.
"Does anyone have any video or sound of Marshall hunt telling the A.I. anything in their language? We may be able to shut it off that way, assumming it doesn't have voice recognition or anything." Krytson qued up his own video feed and was disapointed to find that the only Antaran spoken was the admiral ordering Recking up.
"Dammit!"
Krytson had another idea. He ripped the cover off the terminal and started looking at the wires underneath. He picked one labled in Antaran and ran it trhough his visor translator.
It read gibberish. Frustrated, the captain tried again, nothing.
"Dammit, it's got a coating on it that prevents it from being scannd at all."
He thought to himself. This is our only chance He cut it and waited for something to happen.

The massive Babylon class station rotates around the dead, rocky planet below. The place was selected for its isolation. Emerald City is one of the Holy Empire of SeaQuest's Research and Development facilities. The modified Ha'taks being loaned to the Abh only contained a bit more than half of the upgrades the facility had developed. The Ha'taks standard weapons had been suplimented with additional fire-power. Manned and unmanned point defense turrets composed of dual Staff Cannons were placed all over the super-structure. Minbari beam weapons had been added at strategic points along the hull. Two Al'Kesh style bomb launchers had been added to the ventral structure of the central pyramid core. Also, at each of the four corners of the superstructure, two torpedo launchers were added. Each launcher has a maximum payload of two-hundred photon torpedoes and one-hundred quantum torpedoes. However, to make room for this additional fire-power, the entire hanger bay had to be removed. Also, the capacity had been reduced from one-thousand to three-hundred troops.

The Fleet Marshal kept running they were close enough to the Ithkul Hive Chamber. The problem now was his adversarys were becoming more deadly in there shooting. The Fleet Marshal fires a few shoots at his persurers and then hits the hand panel on the door.

The Door instantly opens and Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt dashs into the Ithkul Hive Chamber. The young Ithkul recongize the Fleet Marshal and pay no heed. The Fleet Marshal yells out, "Hey guys intruders on board."

The Ithkul immediatly charge out towards the enemy with full intent on getting there first snack.

"Everyone, this is it. Soliers will be beaming aboard any second now, we are in Deatharon Prime's atmosphere. Sorry I couldn't get this hunk of metal turned around in time." The men all nodded understandingly.
"But, we're not useless yet, That little data disc has been going for almost half an hour. We can't send it out because it's being jammed. They have to drop the jammers to let the soldier on. When the first soldiers start appearing, if I take one, I want someone to hit this button right here." He

OOC: To get to Deatharon Prime you need a Wormhole Gate (My Antaran Version of a Stargate.) that connects there and the only one that does that and still functions is in Ishtar. Remeber it is in another Galaxy far far away. Plus you would have to have deciphered the Antaran codes to even activate the Gate. Or if you have Intergalactic Engines you could try to get there by ship but doing that will activate all the Defenses across the Aries Supercluster.

Skykes woke up feeling pretty good. Then he remembered where he was. His shoulder wound had almost closed back up in the 3 day space voyage. He was a little stiff from the 3 day sleep, compounded by the fact that he was still wearing his flex cuffs from the ship. The stasis had healed his raw wrists, but not for long. A company of Deatharon marines came into the hold. The stasis pods opened, and the marines hered the prisoners together and then marched them in the Zeros atmosphere.
"Welcom to Zeros dissident filth." Said the Deatharon commanding officer. Skykes spat in his face and the next thing he new he was on the ground with a pain in his jaw. He spat a tooth out. The Deatharon CO bent over him

"Commander, make it easy on yourself. I want answers now. Why are soldiers of the Armed Republic fighting with the Abh Empire? I'll give you a chance to answer before I have some fun with you."
Skykes didn't even give the Psyker and answer, he just kept staring straight ahead.
"We'll play it your way commander."
Suddenly Zecker felt a knife rip through his head. It was the Psyker in his brain. Memories flashed past him: the first time he saw a kiwi, the Armed Republic's national bird, his father teaching him the game of paintball, learning to ride a hoverbike. He started fighting the Psyker's probe with his mind, imagining a brick wall. Skykes became aware of sweat forming on his forhead. He started panting, trying hard not to open his braing back up.
The Psyker smiled, "Very good commander, but that won't be good enough."
This time SKykes felt a bullet ripping through his brain. After being in stasis, not being fed in 3 days, and being beaten, his body couldn't take the pain. He passed out.
The Psyker laughed. He called in some marines who dragged Skykes back to his cell.
"It's your turn now Captain. I'll give you the same chance I gave Zecker. Give me answers now or I'll start probing you. Who sent you to board the Mothership, and why are you meddling in our affairs."
Krytson handled the question differently then Skykes.
"We saw you passing by and decided to come aboard. You guys are bad hosts by the way."
The Psyker laughed. "Skykes brain told me about you and your sarcasm. Very well, we'll do it the hard way again."
Eric was just about to come up with another sarcastic remark when the pain started. Krytson gasped and doubled over clutching his head. He started to fight the mind probe. This time it was the Psyker who was sweating.

Can't let him know how tired I am.

"I'll let you in on a little secret Zecker. Nobody knows about this place. This is where we keep the most dangerours prisoners. Nobody is coming for you."
This was too much for Skykes
"Oh, I think someone might know about it. I don't know. I might have sent the mothership's memory off while that cowardly fleet marshall of yours was running for his life." Skykes realized he had said too much, but he was too broken to care.
"I will deal with him later. What I want to know now is where are the Abh and Seaquest fleets?"
"Bend over and I'll show you."
The c.o. backhanded Skykes across the face.
"Do that again, and I swear to you, once I get these cuffs off I will rip your vocal cords out of your throat and strangle you with them."
"Skykes, you can't scare me. I can see you're not ready to talk now, but this war will go on for a while. The Emperor and heads of staff departments were the only ones left in the room as the capital rocked time and time again by shadow attacks. The power flickered as generators blew and backs up were replaced.

The Tactical Command Display flickered off and on as Shadow vessels swarmed by. They had already lost one SSD but Lord Rahl and Doron were fighting bitterly and making them pay for every attack. The capital's defenses were failing though as the Space Time Generator had already been destroyed and they were now targeting other generators.

Dusanyu sighs as he sees a ship go up in flames. "This is a nightmare. I never would have thought that such a tragedy would befall this Empire."

He looked to his staff. "I want all civilians transported immediatly to D'Hara. From there our military will strike out when the oppurtunity presents itself. I want all Victory class destroyers to make their way there. We only have two so far and I want all Whitestars to rendezvous there as well."

A low ranking officer came rushing through the door with a report. "Your Highness! Deatharon wishes for an end to this fighting."

"Tell them they can have it once these Shadows are destroyed. Inform that they may stand down and we will not attack anymore of their forces."

A colonel stepped forward behind the man. "Your Highness, we have received word from Command Atosuryua that she is attempting to rescue marines from Paintcheck that were captured by Deatharon forces. We also have a number of Deatharon pilots in a POW camp."

The Emperor looked up at the man. "Tell them that we will honor the cease fire once they return the marines to us. Once they do that, we will return their pilots."

A marine took Skykes's cuffs off. He rubbed his raw wrists and then reared back and slugged the prison C.O. as hard as he could. The C.O. crumbled. Skykes dove over the table and pounded away at his face untill 4 marines came in and dragged him off.
That was so worth it.

The other prisoners were let out of there cells and marched to the mindwipe facilities. Skykes reached into he shorts in a hidden pocket and swallowed a small pill. The pill would release a microchip into his brain that would store all the memory of the past couple weeks in it. Electrodes were put on the marines's head, and soon they fell asleep, waking up in an Abh medical frigate.

Skykes woke up, in good shape. His rifle, suit, and helmet had all been returned from the prison. He couldn't remember what had happened. He went to the showers and, for some reason, he felt compelled to reach into his pocket where the microchip was. Suddenly he remembered what was supposed to be in there. All that was in there now was the pill that detached the chip off the brain. Skykes popped it into his mouth. Suddenly he felt sick. He ran into the bathroom and threwup in the sink. The chip popped out. He slid it into the slot in his armor and stepped into the shower.

That pill thing may seem kind of weird, so I'll give ar eason as to why he would have that. Being a black ops operative, he works deep behind enemy lines. (As just evidenced with the ship, though that didn't go so well. By the way Deatharon, you played that masterfully. Anyway, the microchip would be used to have the memories of a operative on a mission so if he died, everythig he saw and heard could be retreived. It's also good for situations as evidenced in the prison.

The Pain was terriable and he could not afford to take anymore pain. He screams out loud, "God and Fatherland forgive me, He lives on Deatharon Prime in Berlin."

OOC: Sorry about that Paintcheck. Should have TG'ed you first. She's just here to make things go faster. She can just use her telepathic abilities to confirm facts that are revealed to make sure that no fiction is disguised as truth.

IC: She says nothing but brushes past Skykes and moves a chair into the far corner of the room. Her black leather uniform (OOC: Its a two-piece suit so don't go getting any ideas) accentuating her form. The SeaQuestian women stood up straight at the information as she heard the Deatheron pilot yell. She begins to bore into his mind. She planned to plant subtle 'suggestions' in his mind that would make the ineffecient interrigation method used by the Paintcheck soldiers go faster.

Last post for tonight, it feels good to be on the winning side for once lol

"Alright, now we're getting somewhere. The painkiller should take affect soon. I can move the rib back into place if you want, but it will be excruciatingly painful. Short of surgery, all I can do is set the bone. Give me an address and I'll get some doctors to look at you. They'll fix you up. It's a long trip, so don't think you're done. I'll be watching you. No one has to know you told me what you did. Alright? I won't tell any of your pilots or anyone if you cooperate."
Skykes keyed in his radio to tell the doctors on the ship to look at Cain. All he needed now was the address.

OOC: Congrates you have made a new enemy. He may not tell you directly but his hatered for Sykes would be the same as his hatred for Marshal Dylan Hunt.

IC: Cain just passed out even with the Pain killer he wanted to just fade into dark and dreamless sleep.

I'd think he'd hate me already lol. But I have luck on my side here, because he doesn't know names, home planet, or even what Skykes's or Krytson's face looks like. (The armor they wear is MJOLNIR armor from Halo, complete with mirrored helmet). Maybe after this thread ends, you and I can slug it out in a new one.

Skykes called in medical, "We need a gurney down here fast, broken ribs."
The reply came back up, "What have you been doing to the prisoner in there?"
"Get a med team down here or there might be lasting damage. It won't be fatal though, don't think it went throught the long. He's going to need surgery. I gave him 100ccs of ambiphrnine, so alll you have to do is hook him up to anastaisia and open him up."
He turned to the captain. "Go with the med team. Make sure the second he wakes up, he's back here."
He keyed in the bridge frequency. "Bridge, send some marines down to search the prisoners, perferably enough to search them all at once. Do it gently. They have a pill with them that contains a VERY lethal virus. One bite and it releases it throughout the whole ship. If they ask where their CO is, tell them he's in medical, but don't tell them why or how. Tell them that it's not life threatening."
After all this was completed, Skykes finally turned to the strange woman who had been largely ignored up to this point.
"Who are you?"
