Union Between the Abh and Other Nations (ATTN: NEW DORNALIA/Open)

The Capital of Lakfakalale opened up it's borders to allow any and all delegates wishing to form an alliance or seek aid from the Abh Empire to come. The capital is the largets floating station in space. It was originally built as a fortress but as the Abh population grew so did the city. It soon became a thriving city home to several million Abh. The Emperor was currently away on private matters but the head of the Spoor family was given temporary Monarch powers.
A large round table was prepared for anyone to arrive. On the agenda were matters of trade, defense, alliances, and anything that needed to be discussed. Pitchers of water and the finest bottles of wine were brought to the table to be distributed out.
Spoor uncharachteristically wore a fine Baroness dress. It was a more advanced version of a kimono accompanied by a flowing robe that lay over her shoulders. Her long blue hair was done into intricate weaves that rested behind her head instead of her customary long braid.
All channels were opened and sent out across the galaxy inviting any nation to attend if for no other reason to have a good time and get aquainted.
A separate message was sent to New Dornalia:
To the New Dornalia government. The Abh Empire would wish to form an alliance with you. You have proven yourselves in battle and we believe that we could aid each other. If you would like to accept this offer, then we ask you to arrive at the Empire's capital and discuss terms of such an alliance.

Premier Robert MacIntyre, sitting in his office watching episodes of Stargate when he should have been working, got the message. He replied:
"I do believe that the Workers State and the Abh Empire can work together. You have proven good friends of Socialism, and I remember Marshal Torusumi speaking well of your forces during the War on the United Mankind. I will personally come and visit your capital."
He then boarded his personal shuttle, and escorted by a few Marineskos, arrived near Abh space. He then signaled the border guards that he was the Premier of New Dornalia, and that he was here to meet the head of the Spoor family.

The defenses were shut down and control towers signaled that the Premier of New Dornalia was allowed to pass. The hangar's in the Capital were large tubes that could accomodate any size ship. Elevators were postioned at the end of each docking pad.
A small entourage of nobles and servants were stationed at the docks to escort the Premier into the meeting hall. No guards were posted to show no hostility in any way. Instead, the Star Forces vessels that were in the area lined up with shields activated and weapons fully armed to show respect for the other nation.

The Premier and his accompanying fighters landed at the docks, and the Premier stepped out, along with his bodyguard. He then walked to the entourage, bowed, extended his hand, and said, "Greetings, I am Robert MacIntyre, Premier of New Dornalia. It is an honor to be allowed into your nation on this occasion."

Spoor walked out from behind the entourage. She stood proud in front of Premier MacIntyre and then deeply bowed. As she stood back up, she took his hand and shook it. "Greetings Premier MacIntyre. The honor is all ours since you have graced out Empire with your presence. I hope you do enjoy your stay and this encounter proves fruitful. Now if you'll follow me, I'll lead you to where we can begin the meeting."
Spoor turned and signaled for the rest to follow her to the elevator where they could be taken to the conference room.

Robert followed Spoor to the elevator. He gazed at the surroundings and realized that, though he had been to many such places, this was a great departure from Los Angeles, which had been cleaned up in recent years and had gone to a more advanced level but still was not quite as clean and shiny as this.
He then said, going in, "Why thank you."

The elevator finally came to a stop on the fifth floor. The entourage lead the Premier through grand halls that were polished so that any passer could see themselves on the floors and walls. A few TV screens dotted the walls that flashed news from the Empire. The current screens all showed the Peace Conference going on in Taledonia and the camera happened to pass over Doron leaning back with his blue hair flowing down his back.
Some walls were ordained with paintings of beautiful landscapes. Some depicted large flower gardens from roses to sunflowers while other portrayed majestic mountain scenery. There were alcoves in the wall where travellers could stop in and view halographic art in large magnitudes.

Robert noted the screens and he then said, "I've gotta get me some of that."
He also noted the very exqusite room and the very beautiful art inside, and said to Spoor, "I've gotta say, your people have a very tasteful sense of decoration."

The Admiral smiled as she looked back. "Wouldn't you agree that a boring space station needs to be livened up with a little art and color?"
As she finishes, they walk through the entrance to the Conference Room. There before them are bottles of fine wine and pitchers of water. A few femal servants make thier way to the entourage. "Please gentlemen, be seated and allow us to serve you."

He then said to the attendants, "I'd like a glass of water, please."

Spoor smiled. "Surely it is a matter of taste but if you would like, perhaps we could arrange for some gifts to be given to you. I'm sure the Empire could loan you something that you desire."
The attendant rushed off and brought back a pitcher of water and poored him a glass.
Spoor had a glass of red wine brought out for herself. "If you don't mind me being so forward, I'd like to get to the matter of forming an alliance. I would like to know if you had anything specific in mind as to what you would want out of this. Surely we could open trade with each other after discussing what materials would benefit each others economy."

Robert thanked the attendant, and said, "Well, I was thinking of a trade pact, a mutual defense pact, and an embassy exchange, plus maybe reciprocal basing rights."
He then produced a PDA and said, "If it is possible, we could use better methods of generating a plasma reaction, and metals of various sorts."
He pushed a button on the PDA, and it revealed pictures of various metals. "These metals we call Leninite, Stalinite, Maoite. All vital building materials for our society. We have replicators now, they streamline industrial manufacturing and even create synthetic versions of these materials. But we might need natural supplies as well. Also, industrial gases of various sorts would help out as well. We are also open to any offers of more efficent materials."

Spoor took a sip of wine before looking at the PDA. "I agree to the trading pact, mutual defense, and embassy exchange. We would have to discuss the basing rights though. There are a few sensitive areas in the Empire that we wish to keep hidden. No offense."
Spoor signaled for an attendant to bring her PDA with material translations. It listed all the names of their minerals and listed their names in other nations. "Leninite, Stalinite, and Maoite we have though they are called by different names. All our iron comes from asteroid deposits and recently conquered planets. Trading this material shall not be a problem. Now natural gases we do have a few of. We have asteroids containing anti-matter in abundance along with Nitrogen."

Robert replied simply, "We understand your need for secrecy; we have several areas we too wish to keep hidden from public view. It is good to see all other portions are readily acceptable."
He then adjusted his chair and said, "For basing, we are willing to let you use our bases in the Terran Socialist Commonwealth and on Earth SSR. Also, we are willing to let you station troops in areas of the New Territories, Luxembourgia, and New Leningrad. For minerals, we accept these provisions. The antimatter maybe we could have less of, we are moving towards singularity drives for power."
Aboard the Worldship Embrace of Pain
Shaper Nom Shai was working carefully with a piece of infidel technology deep in the cavernous bulk of the Embrace of Pain when suddenly the device came to life and began speaking in one of the tongues of the infidels. As with most shapers, he was conversant with most of the galaxy's more common languages, so he was able to pick up the jist of the the message being directed across the galaxy.
Usually, contact with the infidels would be abhorrent to any Talaaxian, but policies had begun to lax within the Empire as of late. The Supreme Overlord wished to at the very least gain more knowledge of the galaxy. For this reason Nom Shai reported the message to the ship's commander. Taking the initiative and, to Nom Shai's disgust, responsibility for discovering the message the commander reported via villip to the Warmaster. Commander Shimmra was ordered to personally take a light cruiser analog to the system of origin for the signal and make contact with whomever sent it.
Two weeks later, aboard the Light Cruiser Exquisite Death
"We are entering the Abh system now, Commander." an ensign called out over his shoulder from his position on the bridge. Although he could not see the commander because of the cognition hood he was wearing, the ensign could tell the Commander was angry at the delay in arriving in system.
"Very well. Inform the shapers that they may begin transmitting signal to the world of origin. After contact has been made and permission granted to land, have them destroy the infidel device. I do not want it shaming my vessel any longer!" The commander ordered.
Immediately orders were relayed and the onboard shapers began to transmit the following signal on the same band as recieved:
"This is ship Talaaxian Exquisite Death. We are enter system now. Respond to message recieve 2 standard weeks in past. Wish to make contact with race responsible for message. Respond immediately with coordinates for - shuttle - land and instructions. Commander Shimmra arrive soon. We in peace come. Forgive language barriers."

Spoor tapped a nail on the table. "We will accept your offer of said bases in these territories. We also request added information on these territories: bordering nations, resources in the area, nearest sords, etc."
She repositioned herself in her chair. "We are willing to allow you to base several ships near the capital along with at bases in nation Safugnoff and newly aquired territories from the United Mankind. Your men will be stationed side by side with Abh and other humans. Is that satisfactory with you?"
---------------------------------------
The control tower signaled back to Exquisite Death . "You are clear to dock a shuttle at bay 'Gamma'. Place light cruiser at nearest open space dock. An escort will be waiting for you at the docking bay to show you to the conference room."
Row upon row of Abh Patrolships lined the way for the light cruiser to make it's way into the capital. All weapons were armed and ports were open. Shields were set at maximum. The showing of power was not meant to be hostile but to show respect and that they meant no harm.
Aboard Exquisite Death
As ordered, the shaper destroyed the infidel communication devices and relayed the response to the commander, before proceeding to his quarters to purify himself after working for so long with blasphemous technology. He only hoped the Gods would forgive him for spending so much time in the presence of such an abomination.
On the bridge, the commander gave orders to proceed to the docking bay and to ready a shuttle. Glancing out the viewport, the commander noticed the large group of escort vessels forming up infront of them.
"Ha! These infidels have spirit after all! Perhaps this mission will not be so boring as I had feared." With that, the commander turned command over to a senior sub-altern and headed for what sufficed as a shuttle bay within the large yorik coral vessel. A few minutes later, his shuttle left the ship and made it's way towards docking bay "Gamma".
Docking Bay "Gamma"
For anyone on the ground watching the shuttle as it came towards the docking bay, it looked as though a medium sized asteroid was about to crash into the docking area. An unintended, but also beneficial, result of bioengineering ships from yorik coral was that the ships resembled rather strikingly asteroids. After a few moments, the shuttle touched down on the docking platform, looking like a piece of space rock with mica viewports.
Several minutes later a hole that could easily have been a mouth opened at the front of the shuttle and a ramp bearing a striking resemblance to a tongue rolled itself onto the platform. Seconds later four massive Talaaxian warriors in full voduun crab armour exited the shuttle, amphistaffs coiled around their right forearms and a bandolier of razor bugs across their chest, and took up positions a few meters from the end of the ramp. A few seconds later one nodded and a larger group of Talaaxian warriors, all eight of them at least 6'4", began to exit the shuttle, four to each side of the ramp with a ninth man standing almost 7'0" tall in between them. Clad in voduun crab armour, an amphistaff and coufee coiled around his body and long commanders cape trailing behind him, Commander Shimmra was an impressive sight. Face hidden behind his helmet, like all his men, he turned to the closest and most visibly nervous Abh delegate and demanded to be shown to whatever area sufficed as a conference room.
The Humankind Abh
16-09-2005, 16:26
The armed Abh guards that were there clicked there heals and saluted by bringing their fore and middle finger up to their Tiarra. If they were afraid, they didn't show it. They've seen more impressive creatures than this afterall. An Abh with a red sash around his arm stepped forward. "Then please follow us." He lead the way to the elevator and within a few minutes brought the newly arrived delegates to the conference room.
Commander Shimmra nodded in approval at the Abh guards, truly worthy warriors. He returned the salute in Talaaxian fashion by bringing his clenched fists to opposite shoulders. After a few more seconds spent examining the guards, he motioned for eight of his guards to remain behind while the other four accompanied him to the conference room.
Passing through the mechanical maze that was this city, it was all the Talaaxian warriors could do to not destroy every machine in sight. Such a blasphemous society surely could not be worth associating with, but they trusted the Warmaster's judgement. They made their way through the building, warily avoiding droids and computers lest they be made impure by touching them. Upon arriving in the conference room the guards took up position on the Talaaxian side of the table, two warriors on each side of their commander, keeping a watchful eye on the armed Abh soldiers present.
Commander Shimmra stood opposite the Abh delegation, offered a salute and a bow then sat down. For a few seconds he watched the Abh delegation as if trying make an important decision. Then, making up his mind, he nodded and removed his helmet and placed it on the table infront of him.
The face that was revealed would revolt even the most hardened of humans. The nose, if one could still call it that, was so disfigured by ritual breakings that it might as well not have been there. His left eye socket was empty, the eye having been sacrificed years ago to the the god Yun-Yammka. His cheeks, chin and sloping forehead were covered in raised scars and swirling tattoos, creating a vast patchwork of disfigurement. His hair, long since torn out roots and all, no longer grew, allowing more scarring and tattooing to extend all the way to the base of his skull. His right ear was missing about half of it's mass and the left was gone altogether, replaced by a hole that served as an ear. Those teeth left in his mouth were sharpened to a razor edge. Those with a knowledge of Talaaxian culture would see a handsome and high-ranking man. To others he was simply a disfigured savage.
"I am Commander Shimmra of Talaax. I am sent here by our Warmaster to discuss mutual interests. I am authorized to make any arrangements we come to agree upon. I also bring you this - a villip - so that we may communicate once I leave this place." With that the commander drew a small softball sized brown orb from behind his cape and placed it on the table. "I will show you how to use it once we are done with our discussions."

Spoor bowed her head upon meeting the commander. "Welcome to the preceedings Commander Shimmra. It is an honor to have you here with us. It is a custom of ours to present those with a gift, usually a weapon some sort, but by all reports your people do not anything mechanical." As she finished the armed guards left the room with a bow.
"I assure you that it is not anything like our technology around here. They are merely outdated weapons that have no mechanical purpose and they are ornate. We give them in a gesture of goodwill. It is up to you if you wish to accept them. If you would like we can bring out what we have instored to see if it is acceptable to you. As far as mutual interests, as of right now I can offer you open trade within this Empire. If there is more that you would wish to discuss then please say so."
"We will view this 'gift'. If it is acceptable to our gods then we will accept it with much gratitude. If it is not, then we will not take it." The Commander glanced around the room before continuing. "Our people have very little we need or can offer via trade. Our vessels, weapons and other devices are all grown. They require a minimum of resources to create. There are, however, a few things our people would be willing to trade for. These are water, slaves or undesirables, foodstuffs and information."
"As I said before, we have very little to offer in return. We do have an excess of ferrous minerals as well as crystals we understand your people consider of value. We can offer these for any of the items I mentioned before." The Commander paused for a few moments, judging the situation. "Other than this I do not see anything else that is of mutual interest to our people. Unless you can see other wise, I will explain how to use this creature and then take my leave."

Spoor turned to one of the female servants. "Please bring out the gifts for the delegates." The woman bowed and left the room.
Spoor turned back to the commander. "We can offer you foodstuffs and water in abundance. You can have the slaves of any nation that we conquer and deem unworthy of being integraded into the Empire. As far as information goes, that would depend on the information that you would like."
Spoor looked over to the delegate from New Dornalia and then back to the Commander. "We were just discussing military issues if any of this interests you."
At that time the woman returned carrying to gifts. One was for the Commander and the other was for the delegate of New Dornalia. The gift for the commander was an organic sword. The blade was earthen brown and appeared almost as rock. It was decievingly sharp and if the blade broke, it was guaranteed to grow back stronger and sharper. The hilt looked to be wrapped in vines and in the middle of the cross piece was a green emerald. The leaves branced off to curl up towards the blade and were hard as iron.
"Ah very good." She looked to the commander. "Judging by your armor and obvious distaste of anything that is mechanical, I believe this organic sword would interest you. If you like then you may take it. If you don't then you don't have to take and no offense will be taken."
Commander Shimmra glanced at the sword, taking in all the details with his one eye. Finally, after several tense moments, he nodded his head and said, "This is acceptable to us. I will deliver it personally to the Warmaster himself."
"As for your discussions of military matters, we will take part as well. One never knows when something will be of interest. Firstly, however, I will explain to you how to use the villip to communicate with our leaders." The commander picked the villip up off the table and held it for all to see.
"This is our version of what you would call a "commlink" or "radio". It serves essentially the same purpose, although without the use of mechanical abominations. It is a living creatue, like any of us, only grown for the specific purpose of interstellar communication. It is "activated" like so:" The commander reached down and gently stroked the central ridge of the villip, careful not to be too aggressive in doing so. After a few seconds the ridge split open and everted into the shape of a Talaaxian face. After a few more seconds the face spoke.
"Commander, I am at your service." The villip spoke.
Paying little attention to the sub-altern visible on the villip, the Commander looked up at the delegation. "As you can see, I am now in contact with my ship. Each villip is paired with an identical one somewhere in the galaxy. This one is paired with one currently on my ship. Eventually it will make it's way to the Warmaster." Turning to the villip, he continued. "Your services are not needed, sub-altern. Continue to watch over the ship." With that he gently stroked the villip again and it reverted back to it's original form. Looking up again, he slid the villip across the table to the Abh delegation.
"If ever you wish to contact my people, use this. I assure you that you will be given the highest priority. Now, if you wish we may continue your discussions."

Robert said, "That is good. We are willing to share and work with others to ensure mutual defense."
He then said, "The New Territories are home to a variety of industries, mainly gas mining, armsmaking on the Military Reservations (we'll put you near areas not close to them), light industries, all kinds of things. They border Chronosia, mainly, and an area of Eternal Space. The areas are being settled right now, the areas closer to the Core Systems are more settled, the Outer New Territories are still in the process of settlement and development; they're a frontier. Lightly settled, under military jurisdiction for now."
"The Terran Socialist Commonwealth. Made up of ex-United Mankind territories, borders the Gaians and your lands. Heavy industries, some mining, banking, gunmaking, all kinds of things. They have their own local forces that have semi-autonomy. They are allied with us, commanded ultimately by the New Dornalian Governor-General. So they are loyal."
"Luxembourgia. The Second Earth, we call it because of it's importance. Heavily settled hive-type cities exist all over the planet (big Abhuman populations), but there's lots of unspoiled country ruled by hostile creatures. We've cleared out some spots though, and we have platforms in orbit. Industry is pretty much like the rest, a general mix (owing to their semi-isolated nature in the olden days; they had to make everything themselves), but they make plenty of chemicals and energy technologies as a plus. Borders the Eshirian Sovereignity."
"New Leningrad. Linked to Earth by a Stargate in orbit. Home to the Paris Commune Shipyard. Heavily settled world, lots of different peoples, not hivelike, but developed much like Earth. A core system."
"And finally, Earth. Earth is settled much like it was before the Apocalypse, though now it is a bit more tightly packed with all of the people, and it has all sorts of interesting wildlife, along with the Che Guevara Station (our first space station, it has full shipyard facilities) and the Karl Liebknecht Shipyards on nearby Mars. Home of universities and high-tech, and all kinds of industry, though we are moving much heavy industry to other worlds to compensate for the lower resources available these days. Environment is none too healthy in certain parts, most of Earth though is better now."
"So....that's what we have."

Spoor nodded her head after hearing the discriptions of the Empire's new base locations. "As you work beside our people, you will also have access to our resources. Nation Safugnoff has a large ship yard and docking facilities. The Capital has just about anything you could ask for and if it doesn't, then just ask. The UM territories are basically mining facilities along with ship yards where most of our ships are created. With a little effort, some yards can be modified to accomodate yours."
As she finished, Spoor grabbed the gift that was for the New Dornali government. It was a long golden scepter with a Ruby at the head. The head of the scepter was sculpted into a dragon and the ruby rested in the mouth. Spikes arced out all the way down until the base formed into a tail. There were two clearing from spikes that allowed anyone to grab the scepter with two hands. In the tip of the tail rested a lodestone. Spoor smiled as she took the scepter. "Allow me to demonstrate what this also does. Not only is it a gift but an effective ruling device."
Spoor stood from her chair and walked away from the table. She grabbed the scepter with both hands and raised up above her head. She brought the scepter down crashing the tail against the floor. Out from the mouth spewed fire and the ground shook from lightening.
Spoor walked back over to the delegate and presented the gift to him. "The fire comes from the ruby and the lightening from the lodestone. There are a few gemstones in our Empire that could be used in such a way. The emerald in the sword that the Talaax delegate has in the sword is a gemstone of the earth. Since these stones have no practical use these days, we use them to ornate gifts and try to make them useful. Now it is up to you to accept."

Robert's jaw dropped at the sight of the flames and lightning. He said, "Wow. That is amazing."
He smiled and accepted the gift. He then said, "Well, I'm not quite sure what to give you in return....well, I do have a bottle of 1902 Glenlivet Scotch, I can start with that. Perhaps later, I shall grant a People's Acolyte Shaolin Spade, a fine weapon, good for long distance combat and collapsible for short distances as well. Uses lightsaber technology for added damage. Hope that'll do."
Commander Shimmra looked on unimpressed. Simple magic was nothing compared to the power of the Gods. He was about to express is disappointment in this display of pathetic show magic when his shoulder villip begain to speak.
"Commander! We have received urgent news from the Embrace of Pain!" The high pitched voice of a lowly ensign called through the villip. Shimmra mumbled a less than sincere apology and left the room temporarily to take the message.
"What is it ensign? This had better be good or you will find yourself breathing vacuum!" The commander demanded annoyedly. A pause of several seconds ensued before the ensign spoke again.
"We have been recalled to home space. It would seem an infidel task force has interrupted our expansion into unexplored space. All ships outside of home space are to report to their respective worldships and await orders."
"Hmph! It is just like the infidels to interrupt the work of the Gods. I will be back at the ship soon. Have the ship ready to depart when I arrive." The commander ended the communication before the ensign could respond and hurriedly made his way back into the conference room. Looking around at the various delegates, he spoke again in their infidel tongue.
"My ship has been recalled. A ...situation... has arisen that must be dealt with. You have our villip, you may contact us if and when you wish." He paused a few seconds more, retrieved his helmet and waved the guards out of the room. Moments later he was boarding his shuttle to rendevous with the Exquisite Death in orbit.

Spoor bowed her head as the Talaax delegate left.
She turned back to Robert. "Please. You do not need to provide us with a gift. It is just a custom of ours to present new allies with something from this Empire. If there is something you feel that you would like to give, then we will be more than happy to accept whatever you offer."
At that moment a security guard rushed in handing the Admiral a report.
"Hmmm. It appears that Chronosia has declared war on the Republic once again. It seems that Deatharon and Taledonia have already been fired upon. It would also appear that we have a fleet on it's way to asisst the Chronosia."
She looked to Robert. "After our recent defeat, I would doubt you wish to get involved in this but that is up to your government. We were lucky enough to not take many casualties. In any case let us move on to other matters of business. I would like to propose a defense plan. Our Empire is willing to come to your defense during any matter. We do not mean this as an insult. We just like to protect our business partners and allies. If you would like to elevate this plan, then you may make a proposal."

Robert said, "It's no trouble. It's nice to know that somebody's got our back, as a matter of fact. Perhaps, if somebody attacks New Dornalia from the New Territories or Tau Ceti, or any of the Core Systems, perhaps intervention would be necessary."
He then sipped his galss and said, "As for intervention, the Politburo is looking at me funny after the recent Neo Zetan Affair. The LA Times, one of our papers, is calling me 'Mac the Snail." The public is slightly embarassed, and wants to know why intervention came so late. So, I might have to do it using the People's Acolytes, our resident Jedi organization-though by the way they talk, you'd never think they're Jedi, they're neutral Force users and Die-Hard Reds."
He then said, "Speaking of which.....would you be willing to allow the Acolytes to recruit converts in your nation? They would remain a neutral party in local affairs, per New Dornalian regulations-and we do watch them."

She then leaned forward as she crossed her arms under her breasts and leaned on the table. "Now tell me about this Politburo."
Robert said, "The Politburo is our equivalent of a Parliament or Congress...it is made up of all the Communist Party representatives from all over the Workers State. They are an elected assembly, unicameral, and they issue laws and deal with other legislative matters, and have power to override my vetos with a 2/3rds majority. The head of the Politburo is the Commissar for Internal Affairs. Used to be the Party Secretary, but I wanted to move to multi-party ops. Well, we still have the Communist Party as the sole party, though it has different wings, conservative, liberal, moderate. I happen to be of the Moderate wing."
Then, Robert produced a copy of the ND Factbook, which said:
Another branch is the People's Acolytes. They are New Dornalia's answer to the Jedi. However, unlike most Jedi, they follow a different organizational structure; masters are called "Sensei," trainees are called "Novitiates," and the group is organized on a hierarchy similar to Special Forces. They also use powers from both sides of the Force, they even reject the standard notions of Light and Dark, embracing their way as the "Red." The fighting arts of the Acolytes are derived from kendo, European-fencing, judo, capoeira, and even Shaolin Kung-Fu (some hand-to-hand moves are embraced, as well as the Shaolin Spade, revived as a lightsaber-based weapon).
Junko Tadanobu- 21 years old. Dubbed "The Tokyo Kid," she was orphaned when her parents (who moved from Sao Paulo, Brazil when she was very young) died at the hands of Mormon raiders and raised in an orphanage in Gardena, CA. Eventually, her Psychic abilities earned her a spot working with the Commissar for Foreign Affairs, acting as interpreter and psyker. A big Star Wars fan, she worked herself to the bone to get the People's Acolytes off the ground. Is rumored to be stubborn and uncompromising, with a touch of paranoia, and really, really smart-not to mention good looking.

Our vessels use energy weapons, mobile mines that can be used in plane space and normal space, and a form of rifle mounted on our ships. It is called the elecromagnetic rifle. It is polarized so that it tracks all enemy ships along with the tracing system that is implemented in each cartridge. The cartridges are designed to pierce the hulls of ships so that they break all defenses. We mount four on port and bow side so that four shots are fired at each enemy vessel and is destroyed with a single shot."

Once the cartridge makes contact with the hull, the gravity fluxes and creates sort of a black hole. All beit it is temporarly, just long enough to break through the armor. At the same time, it causes an anti matter explosion. Close to nuclear but not quite. This causes a more devastating shot."

The servants that were awaiting Lord Yu bowed their heads in respect and greeting. They signaled him to follow them up to the elevator that would lead them through the city.
The city was bustling with people at this time of day. Many were Abh but there were humans and other races mixed in. Art was a large theme in the capital. There were paintings and sculptures everywhere. Paintings ranged from grand mountain tops to peacefull valley floors with grass as far as the eye could see. Sculptures were meant to inspire pride in the people at the capital. All uplifting showing the grandure of man in tall and proud forms finely muscled. One center piece was the mythical Gosrountush (I completley butchered that name) the symbol of the entire Abh Empire.
Small areas were set aside for just holographic art. It could put you in the middle of a thick jungle or soaring through the air of majestic scenary.
The one thing about the capital was that there were no droids visibile. In fact there were no droids in the entire sector the ambassadors were at. The two doors that lead to the conference room were large oak doors. Intricate patterns were carved in depicting long ago space battles when the Empire was young and what appeared to be the story of the creation of the universe. Or at least the Abh's version.

We have seen battle after battle where it is their allies that win the day and not them. Now we cannot be rash about this as we have been in the past. I would suggest that you build up your fleets for war. Drill your men until they can perform any manuever in their sleep. Stabilize your economies to support such an effort. We need strong ties with each other. We cannot offord petty squabling amongst each other about the gains until our mission is complete. Spoor's chest rose and fell dramatically as she sighed. "Well this is the tricky part. As you know, Chronosia and Neo Zeta have made peace with the Republic. My advice is to start picking off their allies. Once they have no one that stands behind them, then the Republic shall fall. They will be spending time repairing their nations, economies, and forces while we are strengthening our selves even further. When the time comes to attack, we will be strong and united."
Spoor let her little speal settle on the room.
Robert then got a call, and nodding, he hung up after five minutes, saying, "I hate to say this, but we've just deployed the Battlestar Potemkin to the Vrone System. This may make things worse."
He then said, "I do concur, anyway, with what you said. We need more strength, we must build up. I will order the Navy to stand down...unless you do not wish for this."

"My dear Premier MacIntyre, you have the blessings and full support of our Empire in all that you do. Do not fear standing alone for we shall aid in all that you do if you request it of us. We will be ready."
The servant finally came back bearing a gift for the Lord Yu. A golden trident, but what else it held remained yet to be seen. Spoor looked at Lord Yu. "You have been fairly quiet during these precedings. You are of course free to speak whenever you wish."

Yu nods. He says, "Simply allowing my translation device to absorb you language more and increase its vocabulary then what was programmed in from what we learned from your message."
Yu gestures with his hand. A Page steps foward and places a long, skinny object wrapped in silk on the table.
Yu says, as he unraps it, "I am offering this to you as a gesture of good faith."
He finishes unrapping it. Revealed inside the silk wrappings is a Jaffa's Staff.
Yu continues, "These make an effective infantry weapon," he pushes it across the table, "the liquid Naquada power source provides an extremely long service life. Would you care for a demonstration?"

Yu makes gestures at one of his Pages. The Page steps foward and picks up the Staff.
He asks, "Target, sir?"
Yu thinks for a few minutes and finally says, "I suggest you have the log brought in that we carried with us for just this purpose."
"Yes, my lord."
The other Pages quickly drag the chunk of raw wood that they had brought for demonstration purposes. The Page with the Staff aimed the weapon (which was almost as long as he was high) at the log and activated the Staff. The end of the device aimed at the log split into four parts and crackled with energy.
Yu said, "You may fire when ready."
Yellow energy sprang into existance at the back of the Staff's head and quickly moved forward. In a split second it reached the tip and a glowing bolt of golden-yellow energy shot into the log. The sap left in the log heated from the thermal effects and exploded. The Page deactivated the Staff and layed it back on the table. He then helped the other Pages clean up the mess.
Yu said, "That was an example of a higher power setting. Very leathal at that level. At lower settings, it would have just blasted the bark off. The energy blast is for long-range combat, for close quarters, it makes a very effective melee weapon. Also, the lower end," Yu indicates the end of the Staff that looks like a scoop with a large, egg-shaped blue stone set in it, "can be charged. When charged, a person struck with that end, is usually, instantly stunned. Some cases, however, require it being done twice for full unconsiousness."

Spoor smiled. "I like it. I like it a lot."
Spoor picked up her trident and showed it to the Lord. "Not so different from yours. Each point distrubites a shock which can be monitored for intensity. It can also be used as an effective melee weapon." She nodded and a servant moved a chair to where the log was resting.
Lightning streaks start jumping from prong to prong and then she unleashed a bolt that combined all three prongs into one large bolt. It streaked across the short distance and solidly connected with the chair. At first it did nothing but get knocked back a few feet still standing on its legs. A second later the chair exploded leaving dust everywhere and sending splinters through the room.
Cleaning servants came through and cleaned up the wood and replaced the chair. Spoor looked at Lord Yu and merely shrugged. "This is supposed to be a gift for your people but it seems that we have similar gifts to some extent. Will you still accept it?"

I have also been authorized to let you know that we will allow you to access our Chaapa'ai network. The main Chaapa'ai is located in the central tower of Atlantis.

IC: Yu pulls a small device from his robes. He sets it down on the table and presses a button. A holographic image appears above the table.
"This," he says, "is a Chaapa'ai. The system was discovered when Atlantis was recovered from the floor of the ocean on the Emperor's home planet. Only one known class of ship is known to fit through them, and that is the Puddle Jumper class transport shuttle, like the one I came over in. The Chaapa'ai is composed of solid Naquadah. Solid Naquadah is a non-reactive form of the liquid Naquadah that powers Goa'uld technology."
The others stop talking as they turn to look at the device displayed.
Yu continues, "If you are do not wish to trade weapons tech, we can always trade ships. Also, the System Lords, as governing body of all Goa'uld in the Holy Empire of SeaQuest will send their combined ground troops to aid any ally."

Spoor leans forward looking at the holographic image. "Quite impressive. Oh, we don't have a problem with trading technology with you. There is just one small device that we don't wish to let people know about. Only one other nation in the galaxy knows of it and uses it. We would like to keep it that way. It's nothing personal, just for our own defense. Trading ships may be a bit of a problem because we would need people from your nation to show us your technology. It may just be easier for us to share technology if that is ok with you."

Yu said, "A similar situation to the SeaQuestian Empire. The empire's sole ground troops are the Jaffa that I and my fellow Goa'uld System Lords brought with us. Also, from what I understand, you make use of rail guns on your ships. I think we could trade some Goa'uld personal sheilds for some of your rail guns. I feel they would make an excellent point-defense system on our ships. The SeaQuestian Empire's only projectile weapons are designed to fire underwater and are fitted on the 'wet' navy of the Emperor's home planet."
The Humankind Abh

Yu thoughtfully stroked his beard and said, "I would think that the same barrier would lie between us if either traded ships. We would have to learn the others tech in order to operate it.
Though, I do have an idea. We could give you our Hellfire class rail gun turret tech and you can adapt it to work to fire in space instead of just underwater. Then we can both equip the result on our fleets.
Also, perhaps an exchange of FTL technology could be inacted.
From what I hear, your star ships rely primarily on projectile weapons, while those in the SeaQuestian fleet are armed solely with energy weapons. Perhaps we can each trade one ship to the other and we can both reverse engineer the tech on the traded ship. Does that sound alright to you, my lady?"
The Humankind Abh
04-10-2005, 01:48
Spoor tapped her fingernail on the table as she thought over the proposal. "I believe that could be acceptable though if it is alright with you, I would like to see some specs on your rail gun so I know what ship it may be added to.
I am not exactly familiar with your FTL technology but I must inform you that our drive systems are different from everyone elses. We use an energy source called Sord Raza. This energy bends space and time and allows us to travel to another Sord in very little time. However, this energy is limited to other Sords.
As far as projectile weapons, it varies from ship to ship. Our Attack Vessels' (http://homepage1.nifty.com/sphere-design/bar/bar24.htm) main weapon is the Anti-Proton cannon and is accompanied by two laser turrets. The Patrolship (http://homepage1.nifty.com/sphere-design/goth/Goth01l.jpg) typically has 6 Electromagnetic rifles, a number of laser turrets, and a small contigent of mobile mines. Guardships have about 8 Electromagnetic rifles, a number of laser turrets, two Anti-Proton cannons, and a larger quantity of mobile mines. Our Frontlineships are a large form of artilary. They launch huge numbers of mines are stuck in the back of the formation. We have several new class of ships being formed that are using new engine technologies and will focus on large energy weapons.
The choice of ship you would like to view is up to you of course. Of course, with any ship we will send you a score of engineers to help your people with the technology. How does this sound to you?"

IC: Yu responded, "Acceptable. I will have a tech sent over with the specs of the Hellfire," a Page whispered into Yu's ear and handed him a data crystal, "never mind. This crystal contains the specs. I will leave it and the projector with you so you may study them." Yu plugs the crystal into the holographic projector he had left on the table. An image of two Hellfire class rail guns appears over the table. Data streams in little windows next to them.
Yu continued, "As for our FTL engines, we use the instability of liquid Naquadah to open a window into subspace. Though, to change course, a ship needs to drop to normal space first.
Oh, and did you mention EM rifles? Last I heard, SeaQuestian scientists were working on something with the same name for infantry use. I think its called Project Eraser."

The ship had only three levels: Bridge, living quarters, and engine room. They entered the living quarters and took the stairs that lead to the bridge.
Once there, a pressure door slid open revealing the bridge (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNS-07/SNS-07-16.jpg) for the ship. The Commander's chair sat the highest. It was rear center where the pilot could command the crew and view the vid screen. On a lower level were four other stations. To their left sat the Supply officer and Linewing aviator. To their right sat the Second and Senior aviator. "It's fairly roomy and it does have its own refreshment area for a lull in the battle. Spoor looked at Robert and laughed. "I believe you meant 200,000 for Attack Vessels." She ponders over the price for a minute but slowly and surely a grin spreads on her face. "First rule of haggling is to always ask for a higher price than what you really want. Since you pass my test I will knock the price down by a thousand dollars for each ship. How does that sound to you?"
Spoor took Lord Yu's comment next. "Yes there are energy shields. They will deflect any laser fire which is handy for getting in close to large ships with point defenses. However the armor is fairly weak on board such a small vessel to make it fast. This won't stand a chance against projectile weaponry and a direct hit from a high powered energy weapon spells your doom. I also must inform you about something special about an Abh ship."
Spoor moves close to the commander seat and points at two small slits, one on each side, of the head rest. "These are where an Abh plugs in their alphas. The Abh are gifted with an extra sensory organ. We can use a tiarra..." You may be wondering what this all means. Well utilizing our extra sensory organs with the ship allows us to feel what happens with the ship. We can orient ourselves in space without a single marker and we are capable of seeing behind us with the organ. If you still don't know what this means, then I'll tell you. This allows the Abh to be superior pilots to all races that we know about."
Spoor then answered Brigar's question. "We don't mind at all as long as you don't mind it being severly guarded."

Bridger replied, "Not at all. Just to let you know, you can password the gate. I will have an Explorer class ship, the only kind that builds the Gates, sent here as soon as I reach am able to access the SeaQuestian interstellar comm network.
And as for SeaQuestian shield technology, most ships of Goa'uld design have them. The Ha'tak for example is able to withstand the impact detonation of a Naquadah enhanced nuke. This fact was discovered by the Goa'uld before they became members of the Empire. Back then, they were quite Imperialistic themselves and loved to conquer primitive cultures if the planet had something they needed on it. Of course, that is also how the managed to get their hosts.
I am also impressed by the ergonomics displayed in the design of your bridge."

I'm glad you like it. Since this is the smalles war vessel that we posses, it is also a quite simple bridge. The larger the ship, the more complex it becomes."

She then looks at everyone in attendance. "If there is nothing else, shall we see the engine room?"

Spoor smiled. "Alright then, let us head back down stairs." She turns to leave by activating the pressure door.
The engine room is at the back of the ship so they have to walk through the living quarters to get to the engine room which is also next to the shuttle. "Oh one more thing about this ship. It does have its own escape for the crew. It not only has several life pods but also the Calykae (http://homepage1.nifty.com/sphere-design/cal/cal01.htm) which holds all 15 members of the crew. The ship has its own little shuttle door in the belly that launches the calykae in case of emergencies."

The control room noticed the Gaians presence in the system.
It has been a long time since you have graced our Capital. Please state your business.
Spoor finally brings them around to the engine room. "And here we are. This is what drives this little beauty. There are terminals to monitor the engine's output. There are small circuit boards that control every aspect of the ship. In the engine room (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNS-04/SNS-04-24.jpg) everything can be monitored from oxygen to weapon capabilities."
Spoor stepps to the centre area-the spot where the guy is looking and its glowing- "If you'll look through here, you can see the heart of the engine (http://www.abhnation.com/components/com_mambospgm/spgm/gal/SNS-07/SNS-07-21.jpg) .
Robert then said, "Always thought you had to lowball the price first, then work your way up from there."
He then thought for a moment and said, deciding to haggle again, "Well, then, a thousand sounds dandy....but how's 8,000 off per ship?"

Spoor says, "Control crystals?"
Bridger looks at Yu, who shuts up, turns to Spoor and says, "On Goa'uld designed ships, they use special crystals as their computer system. For example, a simple rearrangment of the crystals controlling the ship's Hyperdrive could increase the ship's top FTL speed. However, the structure of the craft will only allow it go so fast as any faster than the structural limit, the ship breaks up."

The Humankind Abh
06-10-2005, 21:20
Spoor looked at Yu knowing what the crystals are. "Yes I have read reports on the classes of ships in other nations. We do not use them because we do not use an FTL drive. What you see here is the engine that moves this ship both in normal space and in plane space. In plane space though, time is distorted and we can can appear in other systems only minutes after leaving our own. This enery source can only be used by us and one other nation. Anyone trying to enter the Sord without our technology would be destroyed. This is our defense against annhilation."
SeaQuest
06-10-2005, 21:28
Yu nods his understanding of the Admiral's statement.
Bridger says, "Quite an effective means of defense. But aren't you worried about someone who uses a FTL drive to circumvent that security measure?
Well, back to the business at hand, I don't think I have ever seen a more compact anti-matter engine. What do you use to control the reaction? Dilithium crystals?"
The Humankind Abh
06-10-2005, 21:51
OOC: Heh you're going to start asking me more complicated questions about the ship.
IC: "No we are not worried because as of yet, it cannot be done. And if they did, they would be destroyed without the proper generator.
The anti-matter is broken down to the molecular level. This way it takes a small amount of fuel to run this ship since all fuel is needed to not only run the engines but aslo the Space Time Generator. I would assume that you are right. I cannot say that they are Dilithium Crystals though. They have been given no proper name and are only used for this purpose. We identify them easily enough."
SeaQuest
06-10-2005, 21:55
Bridger inquires, "And how do you keep the anti-matter from reacting with the normal matter of the ship? I happen to know some of the dangers of working with anti-matter. On a SeaQuestian ship powered by it, the core is usually several decks high and the anti-matter is magnetically contained in storage pods until needed."
The Humankind Abh
07-10-2005, 01:26
"Well if you were to view of the anyother vessels in the fleet then you would actually see a large core. On the Attack Vessel, the quantity is so small that we do not need a large core. However, what we have, it is magnetized to keep the anti-matter stable. The small amount that we do use is kept in a fuel pod and great care is taken when handling them."

Bridger nodded and said, "Quite an effective method of keeping the smaller ships powered safely an keeping a leash on their independent range. Some SeaQuestian ships use a core that produces anti-matter as a waste product, usually it is channeled into an anti-matter cannon, but I think we can come to an arragement to provide you with a dedicated plant that could produce all the anti-matter you need. Bridger replied, "The class of reactor I speak of was one we recieved from the Minbari. Its a bit too technical for me to recall the specifics of the top of my head, but I do carry a PADD around that has some information I need on occasion. Just so happens that the info for the reactor I speak of is on it."
Bridger pulls out the PADD, presses a few keys, and hands it over. On the screen describes the Quantum Gravitic reactor.
TYPE
QUANTUM SINGULARITY
OUTPUT
9*(10^16) Joule per Kilogram
DESCRIPTION
Quantum/Gravitic reactor is the primary power plant utilized by the Minbari Federation. This system uses a complex series of graviton beams to mimic the destructive power of a black hole on a local scale, creating an artificial quantum singularity.
This self sustaining reactor system destroys all matter introduced into the singularity, creating a 100% energy release. Efficiency of a given ship to exploit this energy release varies.
Process begins with a series of high-energy fusion reactors, which are used to manipulate zero-point energy to mimic gravity and create the singularity. Once the singularity is formed, any and all matter introduced into the reactor is destroyed, creating a massive energy release.
As any form of matter can be used as fuel for the singularity, this form of reactor has a near infinite run time - so long as there is matter to be used as fuel, the Quantum/Gravitic reactor will continue to produce power. In addition, a key byproduct of this form of reaction is antimatter, which can be used both as a weapon or a secondary power source.
Key advantage of the Quantum/Gravitic reactor over a matter/antimatter reactor is system is efficiency and stability. The Quantum/Gravitic reactor only uses half the fuel of an antimatter based system and, unlike a matter/antimatter reactor, should this form of reactor breech the singularity will simply collapse with almost no adverse effects.
Once the singularity is shut down all form of mass compression will cease and, with the exception of one final burst of antimatter, energy production stops almost instantaneously.

Robert then said, "Basically, a singularity reactor. We use types derived from Imperial Gravity Well Generators, found on ships like the Eclipse class. We just made a few mods, and had ourselves a reactor. Still, it does sound a heckuva lot more efficent. How much is SeaQuest asking?"

Spoor bowed to them both. "You are most certainly welcome. I will be next door if either of you need anything."
She moves to the night stand where there sits a monitor. "This is the easiest way to contact me in the middle of the night. It links to every room in the Capital. All that is required is to enter the floor and room you wish to contact. We are on the sixtieth floor and this is currently room 9. The other room will be room 8 and I shall be staying in room 11 if you need something."
Spoor senses that there are others that have entered the room and turns to see the Gaians in the main parlor. She bows to the two ambassadors. "Excuse me."
She walks out to the parlor and bows the newly arrived guests. "Lord Aleaic, Ladies. It has been a long time since you have visited our Capital. What can I do for you?"

Robert then unpacked his suitcase, and changed into a pair of flannel pajamas, before generally cleaning up and going to bed. He didn't go to sleep right away, he did some doodling, using a sketchpad and a pencil he brought with him. He sketched the surroundings, and he tried to sketch Spoor from memory. Alas, that didn't quite work out, so he put the book away and fell asleep.

Bridger woke up with a start when he heard the knocking. He yawned, sat up in the bed, and stretched. He stood up and straightened out his clothes. He took a small spray bottle out of one pocket and spritzed it all over his outfit.
"For wrinkles," he mumbles.
He puts the bottle back in the pocket and takes out another. He spritzes this one all over himself, from head to toe.
"Best I can do for now. Won't wake me up like a true shower, but at least the little critters in that spritzing are doing what they were designed for. Now," he mutters as he puts the bottle back in his pocket, "Don't want to keep my host waiting."
He starts to walk towards the door, but stops half-way. He puts his hand in front of his face, blows air out of his mouth, and smells his breath.
"Ugh," he groans, "morning breath."
He pulls a packet out of the pocket and pops a couple mints. He returns the package to his pocket before continuing his walk to the door.

Spoor turned around from the Ambassador of New Dornalia's door to see Bridger standing there. "Oh good morning your Highness. I hope you slept well. If you don't mind before we get started, I thought it would be best if we all had breakfast together. That is if it is alright with you. Spoor smiled as she left a note on the Ambassador's door informing him where they would be. "Then please follow me and I'll show you to a table."
Her cape flew up behind her revealing her saber tucked behind her back in her belt. She lead him back to where the library was and then to the right at the cross section. The floor was still artificially turfed with a few small trees placed here and there and a few tables for dinning. She picked out a small glass top table off to the side near one of the many fountains. There were about five chairs at the table.
A female human arrived wearing a suit to attend to them. Spoor smiled and said hello then turned to Bridgar. "Ask for anything you would like." The waitress set a few menues down around the table.

The lady smiled bowed and then left.

Spoor smiled and giggled. "Yes they are very comfortable. I suppose that if you wish, you may head back to your room for a shower and I can have anything brought up that you may need."
The waitress returned carrying Spoor's green tea and assorted fruit along with a fork. She set it out for the Admiral and then sat down a stick of butter and knife on a chilled dish for Bridgar. She placed the cinamon shaker next to the butter and placed the sweet potatoe with a fork and knife in front of Bridgar. She placed the glass of iced tea off to the side and set out an assortment of flavors and sweetner for the tea. "Is there anything else I can get you?"

The Waitress nodded with a smile and came back in a few minutes later with a tall glass of orange juice.
Spoor smiled. "It's quite alright. I'm fond of like sleeps myself. I just figured that an early start would be a good thing for the tour of Atlantis."
Spoor laughed. "That's quite alright your highness. Actually all our ships are equiped with a private bath in every quarter. It's not something we need for our crew. Though I can see where it would come in handy." Spoor picked at her fruit some more.
The waitress came back with the Belgian waffle along with an assortment of syrups and a shaker of cinammon. She smiled. "Your chicken breast will be out in a moment. Is there anything else you would like?"

At that time the waitress brought Robert his chicken breast.
Robert then smilied, and thanked the waitress. He then began cutting the chicken up, and eating it with the waffles. Frankly, he hadn't had a meal like this in a while, where he could sit, and talk, with people who had some manners.
Robert then said, "Hmm....that shower in a bottle sounds good, perhaps. The Army'd love those."

Bridger nods, "Yes, it is very useful at certain times.
Oh, on the matter of Atlantis, I'm sure you will see several things that would make normal people's jaws drop. The city was designed for aesthetics. The original builders were of the school of thought that if it was to be used often, it might as well be beautiful."
The Humankind Abh

Spoor finished her bowl of fruit and poured herself another cup of green tea. She set the bowl off to the side for the waitress to pick up. "It sounds interesting and I can't wait to get started. As soon as we're done eating, you may have time to freshen up before we begin the tour."

Bridger finished eating. He then returned to his room where he took a shower. Once he had finished, he removed the items he needed from his pockets. He then manipulated the Rune Stone. The pile of old clothes (dress robes) were beamed away and new ones (duty outfit) were beamed into their place. After getting dressed, he put the items he had saved into various pockets in his grey leather outfit. He pulled on the bottom of the top to straighten it before he put on the grey leather coat that reached the top of his boots and had a split the length of his thigh from the bottom of the tail in the center of the back of it. Bridger then walked out of the room and headed to meet Spoor.

Bridger smiled, "It can be disconserting at first, or so I'm told. Personnaly, I still haven't gotten used to the Asgard method. The old Ring Transporters may only work from Ring station to Ring station, but I guess I'm just more used to it." He pulls out his Rune Stone and manipulates it. The trio dissapears in a flash of white light and reapears in front of an Asgard at a console.
"Gah," gasps Bridger as he pats himself down, "I'll never get used to that experience. At least I don't get sick like some people do."
The Asgard at the controls scoffs and returns to her work.
OOC: Okay, this version of SeaQuestian transporter will cause you to fill pulled vertically until your as thin as an atom, dematerialized, then rematerialized, and then, in the end, squashed back to your normal height (going off of visual reference from Stargate).

Spoor calmly walked out from the transported and dusted her shoulders off. "Quite interesting but not as painful as can be expected. I've been through Talaax's Embrace of Pain. Now that is an interesting experience let me tell you." A smile spread on her face.

"Well," Bridger thought for a moment, "Stellar Cartography is a nice place to start," he starts walking down the corridor, "If you will please follow me."

26-10-2005, 16:26
Spoor followed Bridgar. "How detailed is your Stellar Cartography?"
SeaQuest
27-10-2005, 01:05
Bridger replies, "It contains the charts for both the Draconis Galaxy and the Pegasus Galaxy, both of which we control fully. Their are also charts of our holdings in the Milky Way Galaxy. This is all suplemented by charts added by independent explorers. All in an interactive three-dimensional environment."
The Humankind Abh

27-10-2005, 01:37
After walking through the corriders for a few minutes, the trio stops outside of a simple door. Bridger waves his hand in front of the controls (OOC: Picture the door things from Stargate: Atlantis) to open the door. The room inside was large and spherical. A catwalk led from the door to a platform floating in the center. Once everyone was on the center platform, the catwalk retracted and a railing slid into place to close the opening made. Meanwhile, Bridger was manipulating the clear crystals on the platform's controls. He moved some around and pressed others. When he was done, the entire room dissapeared and the platform appeared to be floating in the middle of space. One could see stars and other features all around them.
The Humankind Abh
27-10-2005, 03:06
Spoor walked around the room. She reached out and ran her hand through an asteroid belt. She giggled slightly as it passed through unhindered. "So this is what God must feel like."
She walked over and stared at nearby planet and single sun. "The detail is incredible. We have something of this magnitude in the capital but nothing this advanced. Even our new destroyers only mimick what the capital has."
SeaQuest
27-10-2005, 03:49
Walking through a small, firey-red nebula at head level, Bridger says, "Look down. The technology for this room was a gift from the Cocytans."
Beneath their feet lie swirls of stars, nebulae, and other interstellar features. The floor could only be felt now. Bridger reaches back to the controls, which appear to be floating in space, and presses a single key.
"I have activated the manipulation sensors," he says, "allow me to demonstrate."
He reaches out to a star with one hand and gestures. The view swiftly moves and re-centers on the star. Circling the star are five planets: three Jovian type Class J gas giants, one rocky Class D, and a Class L planet.
The Humankind Abh
27-10-2005, 03:54
Spoor smiled. "So with a wave of your hand, you can change the focus of the map onto what you want to see?"
SeaQuest
27-10-2005, 03:59
Bridger nods, "With the manipulation sensors active, yes. You can even zoom in even further, like so."
Bridger gestures at the Class L world orbiting the star in front of them. The view moves to center itself on the planet. Subtle gestures allow them to zoom in on the planet's surface itself. After leaving the world's crystal jungle to surround them for a few moments, Bridger returns the system to its original position.
"Subtle gestures equal small movement," he says, "the larger the gesture, the deeper into the maze you go. Though the control console will remain stationary so we can use it as a point of reference," he adds, "you may remain in here as long as you wish. Who knows, you might even be able to find your home world in all this," he smiles, "though in exploration mode, it may take a while."
