The Star Forge Naval Store Front Version 3.0

After being on NS for almost nine months, the Star Forge Store Fronts has decided to increase the amount of product which are in this store. As usual, we have your Star Wars section, including all of the major star wars governments (and several other minor govs), and we'll also have the IoM fleets from BFG (Battle Fleet Gothic) as well. As an add on to this famous store front, we're now going to have the Major Star Trek Governments (federation, Cardasian, Romulans, Klingons, ect) and we're having a B5 section, provided by our new partner Calpe.

As a bonus feature of this new Store Front, we're going to be adding in various starship designs from different Nations (Future Tech) with the nations permission! If you want to add in your origonal ship design to help add a variety of starships through out NationStates, please post them here:

Rules and Regulations. You MUST Read This

1) Calculate your own purchase please! I have little time to spend, and I'm not a calculator(lol). I could find out what your military budget is, but that is about it. I'll know whether or not you have an Umpteen Trillion military budget. There will be honesty here. 2) "LOANS"
(continued from rule #1) However, if the items you wish to purchase are beyond your budget, there is no need to worry for the process is simple. You may take out "Loans."
I will have a list of nations for those who take out loans and how much they owe us. To pay off the loans, you could send a TG to either me, or Fal (depending on the product you bought. SW me, 40k Fal). You must make sure that if you do take out a "Loan" you must pay it off consistently to gain reliability. If we deem you trust worthy, your nation will be granted a "Shopping Spree" as a special reward. Failure to continue paying off loans will result in being banned. A nation may take out one loan at a time. Loans consist of up to the maximum price of a product in our store front, excluding packages unless you’re purchasing a package.


3) When any product, you MUST put down the total cost. Failure to do so will result in 3 warnings. On the finnal warning, the nation in question will forfit all their shopping spree (if they have one), or will forfit any possibilities of getting one in the future. We (me and Fal) simply don't have the time to double check the product's cost. Most computers (if not all) have a calculator. Most Window calculators are located under “Accessories” and Macintosh calculators (G4 and up) are located under “Applications” within Macintosh HD.



4) Sales/discounts:
A person with a discount (you know who you are, lists are/will be provided)
may add it to the sale event. Essentially, on our 50% off weeks, you could save a maximum of 70% off of any items (suggested to be used on packages as it is they are very expencive).


5) We accept any CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions/comments about our store front. If you have any suggestions on to improve it, just simply post it down. If there is something you don't like (like, pricing or ship specifications) please post it up.


6) There will be no reproductions of our products unless purchased, or is considered to be primarily old ships/fighters (list will be provided).

7) Shopping Sprees
A shopping spree is given out to the nation which has spent over 100,000,000,000,000 Credits at our storefront(s) or to those who have remained honest.

8) We promise to not ban our costumers based on: Religious point of view, political point of view, government form, former confrontations (such as debating on a certain position and having either me or fal getting furious...) ect. The only reason why the nation has been banned would be that the nation has broken rules #3, #6 or delayed in #2.

Morning all. Just to let you know that this ISN'T dead, I've just been a bit busy. Anyway, here's a starter, loads more BFG comin' soon!

A note on weapon types:

Weapons Battery: Weapons batteries form the main armament for
most warships, ensuring that much of their hull is pock-marked by gun ports and weapon housings. Each battery consists of rank upon rank of weapons: plasma projectors, laser cannons, missile launchers, rail guns, fusion beamers and graviton pulsars. Weapons batteries fire by salvoes, using a co-ordinated pattern of shots to catch the target in the middle of a maelstrom of destruction. Weapon Batteries are good for rapid-fire attacks.

Lances: Lances are incredibly high-powered energy weapons that are capable of burning straight through an armoured hull or cutting an escort ship in two. On Imperial and Chaos ships, lances are usually mounted in huge turrets with quad or triple energy projectors that focus into a concentrated beam of destruction. Lances are good at armour penetration.

Nova Cannons: A nova cannon is a huge weapon, normally mounted in the prow of a ship so that the recoil it generates can be compensated for by the vessel’s engines. It fires a projectile at incredible velocity, using graviometric impellers to accelerate it to close to light speed. The projectile implodes at a
preset distance after firing, unleashing a force more potent than a dozen plasma bombs. While potentially inaccurate, Nova cannons can destroy many ships at a time.

AO turrets: These are small turrets that destroy torpedoes and attack craft close to the ship.

Torpedoes: Large projectiles designed to destroy ships. Torpedoes are fired in salvoes, the number of torpedoes in a salvo depends on the firepower value of the tubes. Torpedoes can be prematurely detonated by being fired on, or moving through dangerous territory (mines, black holes, explosions etc.)

Boarding torpedoes: Manned torpedoes, that can be steered. On impact, they deploy their crew into the ship. Other than this, they behave like other torpedoes.

Attack craft: these are launched from launch bays. Fighters or interceptors can destroy all other attack craft or torpedoes. Bombers are vulnerable to fighter attack but can damage ships with their missiles. Assault boats are vulnerable to fighters but can unload a boarding party onto a ship just like boarding torpedoes.

Ok, after a long time of decision making, I have decided to allow people to create their own package deals. The products which you put within your package can be in the SW, and ST sections (40k.... Haven't heard from fal in a very, very long time....). What has happened to the B5 stuff calpe?

Well, here is what you do:

Take the product you're buying, and take off 40% of the initial cost.

Example:

Actually, you're not suppose to mix either nation's budgets as a standard NS rule. Otherwise, I'd be buying millions of ships for my good side puppet nation with Huntaer's budget.

Hmmm, you seem to lack Romulan vessels. heres a quick listing:

Talon-class Reconaissance Vessel

OOC: I've had a small degree of success in finding Rom ship stats here (http://www.neutralzone.de/database/). Click on one of the windows, then "Alien" (the top bar), then "Romulan" in Beta quadrant. It listed weapons for the D'deridex (though not the upgraded version), scoutships, and the Romulan Bird of Prey. Though this site gets its information from a card game because info on Romulan ships, other than appearance, is so hard to come by. Also, I believe the size of the D'deridex is disputed (this site says 1041 meters, I've seen 1200).

It would definately help if ST canon wasn't so Federation-centric and/or if the Federation had interacted more with the Roms, thus gathering more data on their ships.

As a last resort, I could fire up "Star Trek: Birth of the Federation" and write down all of its stats on Romulan ships and give them to you, but that would be a last resort because the stats the game provides are likely to be somewhat different than the stats had ST canon actually addressed this. For example, it seems to be fairly accurate with the Fed ships, but gives many Klingon ships more weapons than they should have. Nevertheless, it remains a thought...

One thing this game would not provide information about: size, though that information is lots easier to find than info on armaments;)

We do hope that they prove better at evading Coredian sensors than the Klingon ships did; nevertheless, the Klingon ships served us well.

Anyways, all you really need is a list of stats. It is nice to have a pic, and is awesome if you make a 3D model, but that stuff's not necessary. What you need at the minimum is just a general description, stats, and then a price. (assuming you want to sell it. Price not necessary if you're not gonna sell)

1 bill? I'd say roughly 1000 ships. I'd also divide each fleet with 200 ships (5 fleets total) this does not include support/non-military ships.

I've redesigned my fleet after realising you mostly can't truly support a fleet of 10,000 down to 1500-2000 (my pop. is 2.3 bill). Of course, in FT we can use droids, and clones for crew support, but they aren't infanit (you still need to feed the clones, and maintain the droids).

The Daystrom Institute Technical Library is a great source for Fed ships, but it also has tons of non Fed ships and stations (most only have a couple blanks you would have to fill in with info (like crew size on the Norexan class from Nemesis)). Note, it only contains ships and stations seen in a movie or television episode (nothing from any of the games or books).

I used to also have a great site for Romulan ships. I can't find it right now, but I do have the stats for them saved.
