A Halberdgardian Marine lieutenant was watching the transports come down with his platoon when he saw its tire blow out...

"Shit! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!"

The platoon raced to the downed plane, joining the SkyCapt men from the other transport.

"Get a recovery crew down here, ASAP!"

OOC: Having seen the mistakes our administration made in Iraq, I take care not to repeat them. :p
Bright chap.
Still, arenĀ“t you a litlle concerned about possible insurgents in the military ranks?

Capt. Hillman and his crew watched the ambulance take away the wounded plane crew, then turned around to help pull out a jeep that was minorly damaged in the landing. A nother jeep from the other plane was sitting off to the side, warming it's engine. The soldier assigned to drive it was lying down, resting on his equipment pack, reading Band of Brothers... An F-62 flew overhead, headed for the countryside, on patrol watching for any disbanded soliders in the country...

OOC: Just so you understand, FishCaks, this is nothing personal, just that seeing as you were a hostile in the naval battle around Algeristan, I can't let you land.

IC: "FC Transport, permission to land denied. You come from a country that was hostile to SWC forces defending Algeristan, and so we cannot allow you to land. Please turn around and leave Halberdgardian airspace."

The troops finally managed to get the jeep out, wrecked more now than it was before. The engine gave trouble, but finally started, and the men began loading up. The soldier with a sprained ankle rested on the back, and Capt. Hillman began asking for directions to Halberguarian (SP?) headquarters, something he'd stupidly forgotten to do...

"HQ is in a few appropriated office buildings near downtown Riyadh." The soldier scribbled the addresses of the buildings on a piece of paper, and handed it to Hillman.

They stopped every once in a while to pass out food and candy to people, then continued onwards. OOC: Whatever floats your boat. Thanks for coming out to help us poor, backward Earthlings every once in a while.:p I'll just consolidate control over the country, then.

IC: Across Algeristan, the Halberdgardians were consolidating control. Infantry, naval, and air bases had been completed, providing permanent housing and supply depots for the troops, the HFNEF, which was still off Algeristani shores, and the new flights of aircraft that had recently been sent in.

B-300 Hurricane HSSBs, TSF-616 Eidolon air superiority fighters, F/A-314 Staller air superiority fighters, F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, F-22 Raptors, B-2 Spirit bombers, AC-130H Spectres and AC-130U Spookys, F-117A Nighthawks, E-3 Sentry AWACS, UH-60 Blackhawks, and C-5 Galaxy aircraft were all dispatched to the newly-completed airbases across Algeristan, making for a formidable force to deter an invasion, or to act as a forward operating base for aircraft executing operations against other countries.

The 100,000 troops had fortified bases across the country they could use to great effect, and the HFNEF was being resupplied at the newly-finished naval bases, complete with massive 30" shore guns that could rip gaping holes in even the most powerful of vessels.

"We were supposed to come here, and get orders from you, I think." He stood there, and looked at the fan blowing around the room, happy for the relief from the heat. He jerked back to attention, and listened to what the brigadier general was saying...

"Ah, yes, your orders..." The general shuffled some papers around on his desk, and looked back briefly up at the SkyCapt soldiers. "Such is the life of a bureaucrat..."

He paused, then grasped a piece of paper. "Here we go...your orders are to report to UNA-NAM forces in the region, and support them in whatever operations they are conducting. Sorry to bounce you around, but you probably ought to report to UNA-NAM HQ for further information." He gave the soldiers the address of the building that was UNA-NAM HQ.

The Shazbotdom Marine Corps, being a peaceful nation, would like a meeting with all the other nations involved in this conflict. Be them Naval Commanders, National Leaders, or some peon of yours that you wish to talk in your stead. We will have the meeting on the USS Shaz Bot (Illeva Vasali-Class Aircraft Carrier) due to the fact that it has the largest conference room in the fleet. It is up to you to make an appearance or not, the meeting is not manditory. The Holy Empire will send the Minister of Foriegn Relations to this conference.

OOC: Where did you surrender? Whatever, the fact still remains that you attacked my allies, and generally, it doesn't jive well with a country when you try to kill their friends. However, because I happen to think you will have some RPing potential when you get someone to teach you the ropes, I'll make a grudging exception.

IC: FishCaks transports will be allowed to land and deliver humanitarian goods at the Riyadh International Airport, under a few conditions:

Halberdgardian forces reserve the right to deny your transports landing rights for any reason at any time.
Your transports will comply with Halberdgardian air control at all times. Your men are not to leave their planes at any time.
Halberdgardian troops will offload the goods from the plane.

So long as your men abide by these conditions, you will be allowed to deliver aid and fly over our airspace. Violation of any of these terms may result in military action. As a former hostile, we are taking extra precautions. We will not risk the safety of the citizens of the Provincial Territory of Halberdgardian Algeristan (OOC: short form is Estado Novo) simply to appease your sense of morality.

"Sir!"
"Ah-uh." The general was studying maps and plans, surveying the news items and reading orders.
"More troops have arrived in the region."
"And?" His job was uninterrupted by the soldier.
"They belong to SkyCapt."
"Oh right!" He looked up from his papers. "When are they to arrive?"
"Any time now, sir!"
"That'll be all." He followed the soldier with his eyes as he left the room, before continuing with his work.

------------------------

"Name?" It had been a busy day releasing the prisoners.
"Marcus Clarkson."
"Clarkson... Clarkson, Clarkson, aha. Yes... wait here please." He looked over his shoulder at two armed guards, they approached Marcus. "We cannot allow you to leave the facility, you are wanted for drug smuggling into and out of the country, as well as double murder."
"But..." His attempt at freedom had failed.
The guards dragged him off back into the facility. His was the most interesting file all day.

We are to discuss how to break apart the land for our own personal use. Some nations who defended the Nation of Algeristan before the government fell might want a say in what goes on in the happenings of the nation. I personally would like to see a government set up that actually gives a damn about it's people instead of persecuting them for their beliefs. But such things could be left for discussion at the meeting.

As a peace organisation striving to keep peace in the area, we believe that going behind our allies back would be considered a reason for them to breach the line of peace.

Diplomatic Note from Letokia:

The President would like to know if the new occupiers of Algeristan could search for the 178 citizens of Letokia who were unfairly imprisoned by Algeristan.

We have been informed that 5 are to be assumed dead, could you please find their bodies and preserve them so they can be transported to Letokia for proper ceremonies?

Thanks in advance.

We are pleased to announce to you that we have discovered five of the Letokian prisoners. They have been freed, all but one who we have lost records for. We are trying to find out who he is, if you could help us we would greatly appreciate it.

I will tell my troops to look for the bodies, or any suspicious areas (ie. freshly dug earth, collections of leafs in an area etc.). We did find one heavily mutilated corpse earlier, and identification could prove hard. There are also parts of the body missing.

We will continue our search, and do as you request.

SkyCapt:

Although you are a seperate force in the area, we would like you to follow these simple guidelines:

1) Help to build public support and the basis for a good strong country.
2) Provide security to the area, resolve disputes and help anywhere you can.

Thank you.

I also dont see why there should be any problem. What are the supplies though?
OK. The current soldiers will do the following, and 10 squadrons of troops are being airlifted to help boost security. The supplies being shipped are food, clothing, medical supplies, etc. Nothing combat-related.

The Advisor, getting off the celphone after speaking to a representative from the Muesilanian group, speaks to the President

"They're sending a transport, but it'll be a bumpy ride"

"Good, tell the delegation to get ready for it"

Right then, the cargo plane opened up it's large door and a large, bulletproof stretch limousine starts up and rolls out the back, then heads toward the group at the side of the passenger plane...

Bodygaurd Leader: "Okay, guys, get in the chase cars"

Two black cars pull out of the cargo plane and pull up to the remaining 8 agents.

The senate has been in session all night long as well as several days ago. We are officially laying claim to the port city of Melina (it was something like that, it's where I docked originally,) an airstrip in the general vicenity, and 4 surrounding towns to better outline our stake.

We also are moving 10000 more troops to the nation, bringing the final number to 15000. These troops are to be used to provide economic security to valuable infratructure in and OUT of our claim.

If anyone has a problem with this requests please let this office know so the message can be passed back to the senate.

IMN-2, the second deployed Blackhawk from Cobalt, was sat out onto the flight deck.

"What are we doing this run, sir?" a Marine who wasn't going to go on the mission but was responsible for putting the unit onto the publicly acessable internet bulletin board for Cobalt. The unit itself was designed to allow other nations in a friendly theatre to check what was going on easily. During wartime, however, the system served as a ploy to get enemy computer systems to expose themselves for electronic warfare from the ships advanced OI (Offensive Intelligence) department.

"Recon."

That was the only word from the Flight Commander as he moved and unhooked a fuel hose from the vehicle.

"We're setting up a hidden recon post on a mountain." the lead Marine said while loading into the rear section of the armored airship.

After 5 minutes the helicopter was in the air.

From this point the real mission was launched. This was the airborne rescue unit that would move the Algeristani President out of hiding should the radio signal be launched. The only people on Cobalt who knew about it was the CO, XO, Operations Officer, and a few random people in CiC.

From here the Blackhawk began to rise, simply flying a path that would take it around and around the country until time it was required to refuel. When it's required to refuel it will stop on the operations part of the flightdeck and have it's crew swaped.

Simple plan...

(Algeristan. If you want to take a character into exile with you for your next plan or whatever on this game, let me know and we'll move you to the ship.)

Re: Medina Claim

As the acting authority in Algeristan, and considering your involvement in the naval conflict here, we approve your claim to the port city of Medina. Leafanistan is also to be granted one port city to claim, if they wish. Tannenmille does not wish to claim any more land on Earth. We would ask you to try to keep the number of troops where it is right now; after all, 15,000 men is a large number for defending a single city.

However, we feel the need to make something clear. Those 10000 extra troops are mostly combat engineers and the stuff that are supposed to aid in the building of more viable infratructure in our claim, but mostly other parts of the Nation.

Recon units thus far have stated that some people are without water, and others in city areas are simply lacking basic utilities in enough condition to rely on.

We are willing to take sole responsibility for the (re)building of the nation, but if you decline we will be more than happy to cancel the shipment.

Re: Medina Claim

Thank you for clarifying. Of course your engineers will be allowed to work on improving nation-wide infrastructure, though as Algeristan was a wealthy nation, we don't believe there is much reconstruction that needs to be done. If you do find some areas in need of improvement, however, feel free to address them. We ask only that you inform us, simply so that the left hand knows what the right hand is doing, so to speak. Our own Army Corps of Engineers has mainly been involved in the construction and fortification of military installations across the country, so that our reinforcements have a place to go.

Agreed. Consider both my and your troops to have permission to perform inter-border ops.

OOC: I'm letting UNA-NAM stay for the foreseeable future, they're doing good. Eventually they'll leave, but I'm not going to just suddenly kick them. FishCaks is another story, though. He was supposed to be here explicitly for delivering supplies, and with conditions.

As you are a former hostile, we are taking extra precautions. We will not risk the safety of the citizens of the Provincial Territory of Halberdgardian Algeristan (OOC: short form is Estado Novo) simply to appease your sense of morality.

He is not allowed to deploy personnel, let alone armed soldiers, to Algeristan. If he doesn't immediately recall all armed soldiers, I will be forced to arrest and forcibly deport them, and ban FishCaks from Algeristan.
