(ooc-or, in the case of the females, do both at the same time :p My group will mostly be getting in touch with Manama, as there is a lot going on, like the whole Israel situation. However, if anyone needs to talk to us, feel free.)

Prime Minister Wales moved away from the crowd with the Cottish Emperor so they could have a semi-private conversation.

"Ah yes, Emperor what is on your mind? I am sure you are as concerned as I am with this Pacific Issue."

As soon as the break sounded, Hartian rose from his seat to use the bathroom. He didn't understand why, but there was always something about peace negotiations that just required him to use the bathroom every now and then.

As he was inside the bathroom, he reflected on the current situation, and on his rule as the Caesar of the Romans. He was successful on many ventures, such as the peace between Squornshelous and Yelm in British Columbia and the Yonge Street project with Celtayoshi but he didn't like how he let his relationship with Cotland and North Germania sour. I once had Europe act as 'brothers in arms'. Now, they've taken up arms against each other, he thought to himself.

He decided that upon returning to the conference hall that if he had any time he'd try to strike up a conversation with the Cottish Emperor and the Reichskanzler and hopefully iron out a few kinks. I remember when Thomas was still just a state politician, he again thought to himself, my look how far he's gone. He then wore a smile on his face. "Today will be a good day," he said to himself as he walked back to the conference hall.

The Layartebian delegate stood and made her way to the ladies room. She was tired of the rhetoric and nonsense that was going in the room and she would use this opportunity to send a quick text message to the ministry and to the Emperor of the events. It included an audio file of the entire proceeding. Her PDA device was equipped with a very large storage capacity, which allowed it to record up to one hundred and sixty-two hours of straight audio.

Finished dealing with their business back home, the Elephanti group returned to the table. There were many things going on back at home, and ending this and returning home to fix them. However, they could not leave this problem untended.

Feeling under the table for bugs, the group made small talk, nothing that would damn them if caught on tape.

"Who are we waiting on?"

"I think it's the Layartebian."

"Ah yes," Hiraz had almost said something that would have ruined the entire rest of the conference. 'So full of sh*t it's coming out of both ends.' How much damage that could have caused.

OOC: Sorry about the delay. Forgot about this one....

IC: The Emperor nodded and followed the PM.

"Yes, that too. Right now, Cottish naval units have crossed into Hawdawgian territorial waters and are ready to assist. But the thing I wished to speak with you about is not the Pacific, it is the incident in Poland."

The Emperor looked around and made sure that noone else were around, and satisfied that there were none, he continued.

"I'm sure I don't need to tell you the importance of the outcome of this conference. If we cannot solve it peacefully, there will be war, and that war will be bloody. Fortunately for us, the Carthaginians are in a weakened state, as their country has entered civil war. I feel that we should use that advantage to the utmost, and try to stonewall them right now. Either they comply to our demands, or there will be war. And if it comes to war, our combined militaries, as well as the Germanian and Layartebian militaries will be no match for the Elephantis or the Carthaginians. Right now, we hold all the cards. It would be idiotic not to play them for all they're worth. But I want your input on it before we go back in. We should also inform the Germanians and Layartebians."

Thomas waited for Wales to give his input on the situation and proposition.

PM Wales,

"Simply put Emperor, we will never abandon our allies. If we must defend German's right to maintain order within her borders then we shall. No nation should tell us what to do inside our own country, period. I think the news media was used to blow this story out of proportion and stirred the international community into such a frenzy a war was inevitable. We aren't too concerned about the armies of the carthagians, we control the sea and the access to the Med. on both ends so yes we do hold all the cards at the moment. Rest assured whatever NG and her allies decide you will have Hawdawg support."

The Carthaginian delegate was conversing with his assistants when news arrived. One of his assistants handed him a dispatch from the Grand Duke. As he read it, his faced turned quite pale. After re-reading it 3 times, the Carthaginian delegate made the announcement that he was departing for Carthage immediatly.

"The Empire has already stated what it wishes to see. This is an internal matter for the Germanians and should remain as such. When international actors get involved, they violate the sovereignty of North Germania. In such a case, the Empire will defend its closest allies, North Germania being one of them. All nations will drop all claims of sovereignty to Poland, its people, and stand down. If the Germanians wish and the Polish agree, those citizens who are problematic may go elsewhere, we care not. However, if your motives are true and honest in helping these people, of which they need not, then we have no quarrel. However, if your motives are for land then we have a problem."

"As you have seen, we do not wish for more land. We have even offered up our own as a place for those who do not feel safe where they live."

"We have conferred with our colleagues back home, and we will, immediately, repeal all Flag Acts against nations in this room, pull all troops away from borders with those nations, and attempt to reconcile relations. Of course, this is assuming a similar response."

"If such occurs, the Empire will repeal its embargo of Elephantum but we will not make ready the sale of any weaponry to said nation. We do not feel they are safe to export weaponry to at this time."

"We have had enough of this," Hiraz e-Mumman said. "How long have we been here? Too long! We have accomplished nothing in that time. We can not sit here any longer, doing nothing, while our nation and the world in general would be better aided by our return to our cities. However, we will respect the agreements made here. Our troops have already moved away from the borders, and gone back to normal readiness. All flag acts and embargoes have been or will be repealed. We mean no disrespect, but we really cannot afford to spend any more time with this."

With that, the Sultans left. The 3 VC-25Ks (Elephanti Version), carring the Sultans and their staff, were prepared for takeoff. As soon as arraingements were made, they would leave.

Mr. Kosciusko was deeply depressed. Although peace had descended upon Poland once again, the Polish Question seemed to be gone from everyones mind. The Poles had become too complacent now, and it seemed that only Kosciusko realised that now, the Free Republic of Poland would soon be nothing but a memory. Sighing, he stood up to speak.

"Although I would rather we continue these peace talks, I can see that they are getting us nowhere. To avoid further bloodshed, the Polish Sejm has agreed to the proposal that all who wish to leave Fourth Reich soil to start a new homeland in Carthaginian territory be allowed too. However, it is very unlikely that many people will leave. The remaining Poles will probably wish to continue their autonomous Polish state. That is why the offer (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9693549&postcount=222) still stands; you let us have our semi-autonomy, and we will be loyal citizens of the Fourth Reich. We have also received word from the Technocratic Empire of Carthage that they support this deal. As said before, we are willing to negotiate."

OOC: Ooooh no, I am not going to let my dream of Free Poland die, bucko's. Now that NG is activ-er, we can finally accomplish something.

NG talked to me about this; he said there was a "Vichy Poland", so to speak. Which is pretty much all I wanted. Since Napoleon got the Poles to be happy by giving them the Duchy of Warsaw, I'm set.
