I am sending the WNF- Eagle to dock in saharistan for diplomatic negotioations for the destruction of overbear.

The pilots listened to the comms waiting for the reply from Saharistan International Airports main tower

That is better but heres to things I suggest changing:

*Overbear pays every nation only $10 million.

*Overbear will be allowed a token military, a small navy, and a small air force. This way then can also defend themselves. Also members of the coalition should come to Overbear's defense if he is attacked unjusticely.

These changes would work out fine with Space Union

Very well than, my nation will pay up to $500 million to any nation that got gassed. No nation will even come close to spending $500 million on the invasion.

IC: The MFS Firefox sails first paralel to the beach, droping out it's 15 Amphibious vehicles, then it turns and beaches itself. The doors fly open, first out are the tanks, followed by APC's and then Hummers. Upon that, 5 ton trucks haul artillery and missile peices out, and a few ground troops walk out. This part of the beach is fairly empty, one soldier in the rear thinks, slightly before hearing explosions futher inland.

"Goddammit! John! Call general quarters! All hands to battle stations, prepare for evasive maneuvers and countermeasure tactics! By God, John, I am NOT going to give that fucker al Zaraqwi the pleasure of seeing this ship go down! This is one of the most survivable surface ships in the world, and by God, those Muslim fuckers are not taking us down!" He turned back to face his commo officer. "Get me Larson." Cracken seized the radio microphone. "Captain Larson, this is Captain Cracken. Do you copy? Repeat, do you copy? We are reading multiple locks on our vessel, and it looks like someone's ready to fire on us. If you can find the source of the missiles, please relay that intel to us. Also, any air support you can provide would be great. Over."

He turned back to Stewart. "John, get our SH-60Rs in the air. They are free to engage in antimissile operations if they spot any missiles headed for the Valiant. Contact Leafanistan, ask if they have AWACS in the air and if our helos can get a feed from them. If they don't have them, then try the McKagan carrier. We need more intel. And get a message about this off to HQ. Things are about to get hot here."

Larson turned back to his communications officer, he could actually hear the communications coming in now, since her was close to the outlet.

"It's the "Blessed Restraint" (OOC: that's the account name) Bravo Class destroyers Deimos and Lysander; they're a few miles away by now, i've got one of my Attack Helicopters on it, but I could call over up to 7 more from the amphibious ship."

I know, i'm not going to invade anyone that's not even online. So thus, i'm deleting my post about the landing, for the record, the amphibious ship is still out to sea, but not with the destroyer.

"We appreciate the help, Captain Larson. If we had authorization from HQ, our boys might join you, but we don't, so we're going to hang back for now. We'll keep you updated, and hope you'll do the same for us. Cracken out."

Cracken waved his flat hand across his throat to indicate that the commo officer should cut the connection. The commo officer nodded and toggled a switch on his console. Cracken turned to Stewart, who had just returned to the bridge.

"What it's looking like, John?"

"Well, Captain, we've shaken the locks for now. Evasive maneuvers and countermeasures helped us with that, and we're running silent deeper into international waters, pending a response from HQ. We sent off a message to them about the missile threat and the ultimatum, and got a brief reply back from them saying that they expect the President to make an official statement within the hour."

"Jesus Christ. That fucker al Zaraqwi just couldn't keep his goddamned mouth shut, could he? OK, here's what we do. We hold position here in the Peacekeeping Zone for now. We'll attempt to link up with any Leafanistani or McKagan vessels in the Peacekeeping Zone, as it's now obvious they're the only powers we can trust here. If their forces have moved into Saharistani waters, we stay out here. Either way, though, we're just waiting for orders. All hands are to stay at their battle stations on full combat alert. Keep me posted, John."

"No problem captain, we're gonna follow you out to sea for the time being. We've landed on an unoccupied island, set up a temporary harbor, and moved our artillery out. The Federation is also flying in several more helicopters and bringing 5 platoons of our new 'Summey Class' tanks in. If you need to resupply or want safe harbor for the time being, that's the place to be."

Larson walked off the bridge to the deck for some fresh air.

" We have multiple missiles aimed at the Halberdgardia ship." "Holy shit, who was it ?" " It is some resistance group called the Blessed Restraint." "Ok Hillen, Fire Sea Sparrow Missiles and get me distpatch." "Yes sir."

The Marines aboard Stryker once again man their grenade launchers, and .50 caliber machine guns in preparation to shoot down any missiles.

This was a tried and tested method from as early as WW2. In later wars, it was proven that alot of low tech weapons could do the job of a few hi tech gadgets that could be taken out with one shot.

Ive built the republic to use RL items that can be found, The idea of space weapons, super ships that launch thousands of missles or carriers that can hold more than 120 planes (curently the biggest carrier holds 114) I just cant see RPing around soryr

Ok I have caught up, and I am floored by the sheer amount of godmodding going on by 3 people. Because of such, I regretfuly anouce I am removeing myelf from this story line. Atacks on a country, landing invasions, space whatever, destruction of civilians that were never IN the country in the first place (why would they be? overbear is a anti religion country) have all added up to a unplayable, and seriously out of control RP.


My regrets to the people who were keeping it realistic (Like saharistan, very well played btw) that this shall screw up your fun. However at this point after my last post on page 6, there has been no less than 14 pages of posts!, some without answer, some outright atacks with no real chance to reply.

"Citizens of Halberdgardia, I come before you today to deliver a message: a message to you, and a message to those who would threaten us.

"Earlier today, the Halberdgardian government received a message from the so-called 'president' of Saharistan, Musab al Zaraqwi, routed to us through our peacekeeping vessel, the destroyer D.R.H. Valiant. al Zaraqwi demanded, and in no uncertain terms, that the Valiant must withdraw or face the threat of war.

"As a result, today, as per my orders, all Halberdgardian military forces have been put on DEFCON 1 alert and are at full military readiness for deployment; we are at hair-trigger readiness. And what reason does Saharistan give for such a threat? They claim to be 'tired of' our 'janus-faced approach to this conflict.' What evidence do they have for this? We have not issued any official diplomatic messages to their government since the Valiant's deployment, and if they were listening in on the Valiant's communications for provocative material, then they have committed a serious criminal offense, as she was a neutral peacekeeping vessel operating in international waters.

"Therefore I issue the strongest condemnation for Saharistan's threat, and the completely unprovoked missile threat from the nation of Blessed Restraint. Our vessel was operating in international waters OUTSIDE Saharistani territory, and made no action against the Blessed Restraint forces. To threaten a peacekeeping vessel with no provocation is absolutely unforgivable. As for Saharistan, with no apparent justifiable basis for their threat of war, it baffles us how such a threat could be made.

"Therefore, to the nation of Saharistan, and those misguided nations who would support her, I say to you: stand down ALL military forces threatening the Valiant and cease threatening our nation with war, and Halberdgardia will take no military action. If you refuse, the consequences will be swift and severe. With our nation's military forces at DEFCON 1, do not think we will hesitate in bringing our forces to bear.

"To the people of Halberdgardia and her allies, I say to you: you have proven yourselves to be the finest people in the world by supporting your nation in times of crisis, and are doing your nation the greatest of honors by electing to support your government and military in these times. The President stays at the podium for a minute, accepting thunderous applause from the assembled crowds while Halberdgardian F-16 jets scream overhead, before stepping down.

"To our viewers at home that are just joining us, this is HNN live at the Presidental Residence in Halberdgardia City, where President Kir Kanos just issued an official statement to the government of Saharistan and her allies regarding the threat of war made against Halberdgardia. HNN Political Analyst Tom Schwarzkopf is in the studio. Tom, what is your outlook on this?"

Why, it's still an ongoing story, just not the one it was intended for; it's just as easy to keep everyone here as it is to start a new one.

Ok, then explain to me what the story is? All I see is a bunch of nations with bloodlust and no one to hate. Even when we had a good and balanced battle about to break out, everyone just sent in troops but no one made a move. Unless one of us goes crazy and attacks someone else for no reason -- this is pointless.

Halberdgardia was threatened by Saharistan, my ally, and is being targeted by someone elses (who hasn't posted much today) missiles. So it's almost a 4 way war.

The last time I made a move and invaded someone in here I got called a god modder, so now i'm just using a destroyer.

Several hours later- 100 miles off coast of Saharistan

[I] "What is are status report" "We were able to shoot down a stray missile.", said Hillen "Good". The Captian Stepped out of the bridge and looked over the sea. It was completely dark now, and the sea was starting to pick up. He looked about 400 feet away and saw Waves Rolling up against the Minesweeper WNF-Rochester."It's quite warm out. I wonder what's going on at NFC right now." He heard the roar of a SH-60 passing overhead, as it returned from its ASW duties."Sir !", one of the Radar operations cried out, we have a missile on radar, Silkworm type. It's aimed at......Us !" The missile flew over the sea and began the plunge to hit the WNF-Eagle. Suddenly a Sea sparrow missile screamed overhead and there was a large explosion in the air."This is the WNF-Greece, Missile down." "God bless you son", said Smith and returned to his seat on the bridge. "We should move in closer to shore, were it will be harder to find us." "Good, Increase speed to 28 knots and turn 84 degrees." The ship twisted and turned, and began to head towards shore.

The Peacekeeping Zone, 1507 Zulu

65 MIG-19s, 50 MIG-21s and 60 MIG-29 approach the Halberdgardian naval ship, Valiant.

All 175 Saharistani combat aircraft have been fitted with anti-shipping missiles and torpedos and some anti-AA missile rockets.

The Saharistani fighters now fall into attack formation as they approach the Valiant and the enemy ship come into the visual range of the pilots.

The first 30 jet fighters spread out in a line and then launch a missile each and all 30 missiles start heading for their target, the Valiant.

Within seconds, one side of the Valiant erupts into a series of fireballs and explosions, ripping through the Valiants decks and one missile manages to destroy one of the AA missile batteries on the forward deck of the Valiant.

Then 4 MIG-19s fire their rockets and 30mm guns at the bridge of the Valiant, blowing out the bridge and from the looks of it killing all of those who were in it.

By this time 2 of the Valiants AA missile batteries had become operational and fired their missiles, they manage to destroy 3 MIG-19s, 2 MIG-21s and 4 MIG-29s.

The second wave of attacks fired on to the decks of the Valiant, where many of the Valiants crew were on, either attempting to escape or trying to man the defences.

The next wave of Saharistani fighters takes out the remaining AA batteries after they manage to destroy a further 14 Saharistani planes.

The next thre waves of fighters fire wave after wave of missiles and one of the torpedos, causing an explosion on the side of the Valiant which causes the ship to start sinking.

Many of the Valiant's crew are now in the water and 5 MIG-19s fly over to open their 30mm MGs on the crew killing a large amount of them.

The McKagan Federation's naval forces deployed quickly and saved one-hundred fifty crewmen from being machine-gunned in the water. The People's Republic of Saharistan in NO way feels uncomfortable with Halberdgardia's declaration of war against us.

You are not a strong nation and more importantly you ONLY have one ally, compared to the POWERFUL and LARGE allies that our great nation has!

It was YOUR fault, Mr. Kir Kanos, that your sailors lost their lives, you failed to obey our REASONABLE and JUST demand and you had deliberatly PROVOKED us!

It was the middle of the night. The city of Baghdad gleamed in the darkness, or so it seemed from approximately 50,000 feet up. 12 F-117A Nighthawks screamed through the thin night air, unknown to the Saharistanis on the ground.

"Prepare Phase One."

With that phrase from the squadron leader, the Nighthawks attacked. Dropping their modest payloads of 14 bombs per craft (2 MK84 2000-pounders, 2 GBU-10 Paveway IIs, 2 GBU-12 Paveway IIs, 2 GBU-27 Paveway IIIs, 2 BLU 109s, 2 WCMDs, 2 Mark 61s), for a total of 168, the high explosives decimated dozens of targets throughout the city, including mobile radar stations, power stations, and AA installations. The city was in havoc now. Having dropped their bombs, the Nighthawks stood by to fight off any air cover. The real assault was about to begin.

The B-2 Stealth bomber Spirit of Halberdgardia was finally in position over the myriad lights of the gleaming city of Baghdad. The pilot checked their GPS coordinates and verified that they were in position for the attack. The pilot turned in his chair to look at his co-pilot, who doubled as bombardier. Sweden has some of the best pilots in the world, but they don't spend very much in their military so it isn't rated very well.

Still you can't possess that many. Your total military in war-time should only be this:

3% of 14 million: 420,000. That includes logistics, crews, and other non-combatant soldiers. Divide this number into how many personal go into each branch (Air Force, Army, Navy). Then use this ration to figure out logistics:

Army: 1 Soldier:4 Logistics

The scenario was remarkably similar to the first bombing raid against Saharistan. It was the middle of the night. The same 12 F-117 Nighthawks were preceding the same B-2 bomber. And as last time, they kicked things off with the same code-phrase.

With that, the F-117s loosed their payloads, this time completely of napalm, onto the ground below. Their target was the massive al-Mahmoud oil mining and refining complex some 30 miles north of Baghdad, which produced a large percentage of Saharistan's oil. The fact that the complex was an oil-refining one acted as a force multiplier for the inherent flammability and destructive force of the napalm itself. With 168 napalm bombs igniting an already highly-flammable substance, it seemed as though someone had taken a match to a giant line of gunpowder. Almost immediately, it seemed as though the entire complex was consumed in flames. This damage was only compounded when the Spirit of Halberdgardia showed up, with another 40,000 pounds of conventional explosives. Just as last time, the pilot grinned and looked at his co-pilot.

"Do I even need to say it, Charlie?"

The co-pilot grinned. "Looks like the fuckers needed a second helping of pain and misery, boss." And with that, he threw the switch. The bombs screamed down at any remaining areas already not consumed in flames, destroying garages, bunkers, hangars, and the outlier parts of the oil fields not ignited. The thirteen aircraft made it back safely to allied airspace, with the Saharistanis apparently being so stunned that they hadn't even launched fighters.

36 Halberdgardian F-16 Fighting Falcons, each equipped with two 2,000-pound bombs, for a total of 72 2,000-pound bombs, screamed over Baghdad, not even bothering to go for stealth like their F-117 and B-2 counterparts. Screaming over the city at Mach 2, they loosed their bombs and were far out of range before the Saharistanis had time to blink. The bombs ripped through the already-devastated city, flattening the few buildings over ten stories still standing and igniting panic throughout the city. Coming around and engaging their afterburners, the F-16s screamed over the city with an inhuman noise at low altitude, terrifying the civilians on the ground before returning to allied airspace.

I would advise you to redo your research. SR-71 Blackbirds are recon aircraft, flying too fast for normal bullets and missiles to function properly. V-2 rockets were developed by Nazi Germany to be used as BALLISTIC MISSILES, carrying these on planes is damned near impossible, you need like a Russian Super-cargo plane to carry them. For you to have such aircraft scrambled so quickly is pretty damned near impossible. Also for such a small nation to get SR-71 Blackbirds and to have more than the US is also damned near impossible.

OOC: No they are not. SR-71s ARE NOT equiped with any weapons. With the exception of a 1 megaton nuclear bomb that CAN be carried the SR-71 is defenseless. Besides an SR-71 can't won't be able to carry a V-2 without it slowing it down significantly, it also cannot fit something that big internally. Even if you had V-2's they are useless as anti-aircraft weapons, they are Ballistic Missiles. My education system is one of the best in the world before other issues displaced that, and my pilots were trained by Bonstock as per buying his package, I think they'll prove a formidable match. Until you bring me proof you can carry a V-2 Rocket (developed by the Germans in WWII as a Ballistic Missile) in an SR-71 (a Mach 3 recon plane that outflies its own bullets) you will not be acknoledged.

OOC:I can't seem to find the post hwere I deploied my forces into the area, but it was something like 2400 F/A-18E Super Hornets on 30 aircraft carriers and a massive, state of the art Navy with anti missle systems. This war ended AGES ago, then the SWC (all who supported Leafanistan, including Space Union) rebuilt the nuclear waste land of Saharistan into a nice country.

Then the original player of that nation came back as another and tried to liberate it, we defeated him.

Omar al Z. is frozen in a Leafanistani prison, his brother who tried the last insurgency is frozen in one of my prisons, and the last nation to support "Global Jihad" (terrorist cell out of the ashes of Saharistan) has became a province of the SWC, just like Saharistan.

Now Global Jihad is working on a plot to detonate a nuke inside Halebergadia or Leafanistan.

Sucks. I guess I ought to read post dates in future=.=

I figured for the hell of it, to bump this, and find anyones oppinions on the war itself, and was in my case, the best war i have ever RP'ed in.
