The Alert

"Sir, shouldn't you be off to bed?" Gen. Liu's secretary made a puzzled look at his superior, then at his watch and then at the clock on the desk.

"Yes, I know, I need to authorize all of these research projects and sign all these death warrants, then I need to check the progress of our troops in Hualian. Why do you go first, go home to your wife and kids, eh. They need you."

"Sir, but sleep is important, considering that you're off to the range tomorrow. It 2256 hours."

"I guess that is very true. I must rest for another of training with the snipers."

"Your health is important, sir."

"Enough. Tell Lt. Col. Yang to fire up the engines of the helicopter. I think I should go." The General instructed, holding back a yawn.

As his secretary left, General Liu opened and desk drawer and removed the pistol. My work here is done. He thought. Holstering it before moving out off his office, making his way to the noise a whirring rotor.

The ride in the Z-8A was smooth. He was soon at his sleeping quarters. So much to do, but many things will just have to wait. Liu showered quickly before collapsing on his bunk and covered his sleeping body in a blanket. He had expected no dreams, as he would seldom do.

As his body waned into a period of inactivity called sleep, his mind performed a new act. Even if he ever dreams, it is often about the death of his parents. He was never there at the time, but he could imagine occurrence, angry mobs, barking like the dogs that they are, wanting the blood of the traitor they had originally trusted. His defection had been a gain to China but a price which he has yet paid dearly as a result.

The livid scene always begins with a horrible lynching, first of his mother then of his father on the willow, a tree which her had played under in the shade, as a child. To this day he has yet to visit the site of their burial. One dream scene faded into a nother like the wave of stage curtains.

He remembers the day that his machinegun training finally paid off. He had only fired one of such at training.

"Yee! Yee!" Private Qi rushed to the aid of Corporal Yee, the squad's machinegunner. "What have they done."

It was a clean shot to the chest. The enemy sniper mustn't be far. He was the only a lieutenant at the time, he was only the assistant squad leader.

"Get down! Get down, Qi!" Liu shouted hoarsely has his dashed behind a boulder. Two days after his landing in Taiwan and it felt like home. The Chinese soldier knows that upon service, he is dead. It'll be hell of a lot of guts and glory to achieve life again. The shot that killed Yee was a clean one, the enemy sniper must be within, 200m to achive that degree of accuracy. .308 round, it clearly was.

Liu's company had been ordered to prevent a reinforcement drop by the enemy, it looks as though they have brought in a few snipers to guard the area.

"ARRRRGHH!" Qi screamed like a devil when another .308 round flew out and bit the poor boy from Hunan in the leg. Just when his compatriot was hit, Liu saw the flash. Not really an expert compared to him, this sniper had chosen a poor spot to hide. Effortlessly, Liu raised his Type 79 (SVD) and fired. He did not aim for the shooter for he could not see the bastard, but there clearing on the hill above him. Pieces of rock fell on the enemy's back, Liu sees the twitching in his scope. With no hesitation, he fired again. This time there was blood, it splattered from the target and on to the scrub nearby. Liu's eyes were used to seeing death, it gave him neither satisfaction nor guilt. Capt. Ouyang lowered his bonoculars with satisfaction.

"Good job, sniper." Ouyan was slightly older than Liu, the only sniper he has ever led.

"Radio base for medic, we've got one dead and another wounded, sir."

"Liu!" Ouyang ordered. "We mustn't abort."

"Sir, I know! Lee, Cheng, guard Qi while the meds arrive. We must press on."

As Liu gave an order, a drone of aircraft engines became evident. The squad looked up.

"Take cover!" Liu shouted before making a dash to the nearest patch of forest shade. Two C-130s flew low, they are obviously within the enemy's LZ.

http://www.anyboard.net/gov/mil/anyboard/uploads/post-21-1101991239.jpg

"Sh*t! They're gonna be dropped on us soon." One private shouted.

"No sh*t!" Another replied.

Liu wasted no time listening to his subordinated bickering. It was curious commotion, there was the noisy drone of the flight, and the wails of the dying Qi. The injured boy pressed his hands on his leg, having no luck in abating the haemorrage, looks like no medic would come soon. Frustrated, Liu dropped his pack and slung his rifle, he jumped out off hiding, as he looked up, parachutes were unfurling, at least two platoons in each plane. He dashed on, nearing Qi and ignoring the poor soul. His eyes were fixed on the QJY-88, a rarity in those days. Out off Yee's still-warm hands he grabbed it. Cradling the piece heavily in his arms, he continued to run, the rest of his men looked in bewilderment. Here it is, a sniper gone crazy. In a single movement, Liu cocked the piece and shouldered it, before halting, standing tall. He took aim at the falling figures- enemy airbornes knowing little of his existence. His finger never left the trigger once he found it, falling troops became falling chunks of human flesh as he looked through the 2x optical sight, men torn just like the fabric of the parachutes. He proceeded uphill, paused briefly to catch his breath before continuing with the massacre.

"I need more ammo! Hurry!" He barked at his squad, after hearing the last rounds rattle inside the drum. when the machinegun heated with exhaustion and the rounds were finally finished, he dropped it on the ground and unslung his rifle. He continued the carnage with his Type 79. They weren't sitting duck, but falling ducks... He had earned the respect of his fellow Chinese through his lack of fear of death.

The scene changes and he found himself surrounded by dark, hooded figures. This was not in his memory. They beat him and kicked him, some had smacked him with steel rods. One of them pulled him by his short hair and shoved him forward to a figure bathed in cold, blue light.

"Are you goign to bow before the empress?!"

"Prince of scoundrels, calling himself a general. China belongs to me!" Teh Xiannese woman showed no relief of mercy.

"To hell with you, you old hag." Liu's reply was solid, despite the pain.

"Cremate this piece of filth alive." She said to one of the dark figures.

Liu's cursing was indistinct, but he found himself waking up, sitting in the bed, he had pull that .45 from beneath his pillow and put it into aim. he exhale heavy in a tiring pant, sweat rolled down his forehead, not in droplets but in beads. He check his watch, he had only slept for two hours. He slumped back in the bed. He slept terribly through the night, the .45 in one hand.

The Awake:

Liu returned to his office and put all his work aside. He had decided that war bonds will now be issued again. In two days, the reservists must be called up. At lunchtime, he dined away at his food with boredom as he flipped through pages of ancient Chinese texts detailing the explanation and meaning of dreams. It didn't look good at all. He called his secretary over as soon as he returned to his desk.

"I need a special report on them." He pointed on a map of the current Asia. "You know who I'm talking about. On my desk, tomorrow morning. I want to see their readiness."

"About the state of alert for the reservists, sir."

"No buts, we need them now. Just don't let it be leaked to the damn press. Tell the censors to blank that out."

SIMINCORP Plant No. 56, Hunan:

"You serious!" The director asked with shock. "Halt all production?"

"I'm afraid so." The voice on the other end ordered. "There's an order for more pontoon bridges, the tanks can hold."

"How many rivers are there in China?"

"Let's not count. We've got a lucrative contract, so let's not waste any more time. This is happening in our other plants as well so stick with it."

Meanwhile at the Dragon's Lair:

As the sun sets for another day, Liu's not work is not yet done. There's a great threat, just over the border.

OOC:Holy crap, this sounds good, seems to involve Xiaguo quite a bit....I'm in. Wonder if I can jack Sino's idea and actually use the Chinese belief of 'Linking Dreams'

I really hope you don't mind, I thought this could generate a kickass plot.

IC:

"Sir, I have finished the documentations of the current situation in Xinjiang and I'm pretty much finished with the Vietnamese Alliance, the Emperor's a little what you call that.."

"Cruel and Ignorant?" mumbled Yeh, then taking sip of tea.

"Please, don't say that, you cannot lose your head." joked the Minister. Well, I'll be going home now, it's two in the morning. Don't you think you should get some rest? The Parliament meeting is.."

"I'm all right, you go ahead, I'll finish up, by the way minister, make sure you have a secretary call me up, I don't think my alarm clock has been working lately.."

"Of course, you've giving yourself a dose of stress, I say you take a few days off."

"I'm alright, the security of China is more important. ha.."

"Of course, goodnight, sir.

"Goodnight Minister. You're always welcome."

As the Minister of International Affairs left Yeh's library. Yeh had been up tight with the schedule provided by the Emperor, who now, tangled up in the war with Hudecia became a man of temper and sometimes, cruelty. Yeh has been up writing up a report of the current situation of the dameged pipelines and refineries in Qingdao, and still has much to do including a Tactics report summary of the current Zhonghua Fleet, which has sucessfully hammered a wedge through the Hudecian fleet.

As another half an hour passes, Yeh became a fisherman, rocking back and forth, and finally, he dosed off.

Yeh has experienced dreams, and nightmares, the same ones over and over, but not as much soon after Xiaguo expanded and installed a Republic. However, this physcological escapade is much different.

It was always of the horrible sounds of machine fire. Sounds of revolution, politicals struggles. Yeh was only a young teen, born and raised in Guangzhou, and often accompanied his father to many parts of China on business until he was sent to the United States for studies. He returned to China and soon, his father died. Several years passed and he worked hard on his father's steel manufactoring business, and soon became a wealthy man. His mother moved to the North in Shenyang where one of the Yeh Family Steel Plants were located amidts the 4 located in Dongbei(Manchuria), Guangdong, and Fujian.

Yeh stayed in Guangdong and as wealthy as he was, he was only barely in his 20's when the ownership of the company was bestowned upon him.

This dream, this nightmare, the first one to ever recall this time of his life came through like a sharp shot of the gun, It struck him hard as lavish rooms became apparent.

"Sir, you must leave immediately, Liberation troops are marching in through Zhuhai, and can be here any minute. They are rounding up many people."

"Surely, nothing is attached to me.."

"Mr. Yeh, they are rounding up Activists."

Yeh was an activist, a Democratic Activists who participated in many protests in Guangdong which demanded human rights. He was part of the new Wolrd Order, a call for Peace and Rights. Despite the war in Taiwan, Yeh was against it after many months of liberation in Taiwan, innocent lives were lost, and he was now labelled a Seperatist, and a Rebell.

"Pack up my clothes, we must head North. Plain clothes."

"Did you destroy or.."

"Yes, hid them in the celler, we must leave. Take the cash from the bank, and I will meet you at Guang Hua Road 2. I believe there will be someone there to pick us up."

Guangzhou and many nearby countrysides were a mess. Many, rounded up were protestors and activists, many of whom signed up at Rallies. Unfortunately, the Government has obtained these copies. The current time frame, China was falling apart amidst the war in Taiwan, and many calls for Democracy in Northern China and the South. The government took to the extremes to persecute these 'rebels'.

As Yeh rode in a taxi along with the money, he met up with young Xia, who would later become the King of Sichuan.

They rode their taxi amongst dozen of people, now running in the streets. Gunfire was heard nearby and several shots, then hell broke, just before leaving for the outskirts of Guangzhou, explosions could be heard, and the next day, the news commented on Guangzhou that hundreds were executed, and many were killed in a resistance. Several other rebellions started around Southern China the next day.

As his dream started to look like a fading picture of Guangzhou, now with smoke faded out, a new picture emerged. A dark room, he was now in small room. He was being beaten by hooded figures.

"Bow to the Empress!" howled one of the men. Then room smalled of sandalwood, and other beatings could be heard nereby with constant prayers. Some of the figures were meditating.

"You cult is dangerous, and you have suceeded, why must you kill th-."

"We have been persecuted under these bastards. We have finally gained power of an imortant. Our Empire will expand. Bow to the Empress, her grac--"

"I will never bow down to that Bitch!" yelled Yeh, the figures simply knocked him unconscious with a blow to the head.

"While unconcsious, he can hear the matras, now, seemingly a verbal poison. He could here faint curses, Old Hag. Filth..and he fell into a deep sleep."

Yeh woke up with a bang. He jumped up and flipped over his chair and knocked down books and folders. Now sweating and panting heavily, he went over to his safe, and took out a journal. After reading it. He went pale, he went to a Daoist temple the next day, the early morning gave the temple a serene and beautiful look. He talked with one of the fortune tellers, and confirmed his dream. He quickly went back to the Capital, and prepared for the conference.

OOC: Kalla, leader of the Islamic Republic of Indonesia sent muslim fighters to train the rebel forces in Xinjiang... Xiaguo took steps to remove foreigners, but given the territory I doubt theyd have all been found.

Hudecia would have more details, as he's been playing as Kalla and the IRI, as Hudecia first put Kalla in power, though at present the IRI and Hudecia arent on the best of terms IC.

Still, in a funny sort of way, an overly paranoid conspiracy theorist could put together Kalla's rise and support of Xinjiang rebels with the attack at Dalian as evidence of an ongoing Canadian plot against China ^__^.

"Begin phase two of neutron weapons testing. We must hurry." Liu's secretary spoke to the ARSSWF commanders stationed near Lop Nor. The first tests of nuclear weapons in the area has been highly successful in the past months.

"Tell the generals there that Operation Fanfare must commence in three days. Our nuclear capabilities must be demonstrated. I'm certain that the Hudecians are not willing to negotiate in some future circumstances." General Liu's order was crisp, here is a man who talks very little and often gets to the point.

"You did mention that the new WS-2 2x350mm MLRS is to be tested. Would that be conventional or nuclear munitions?"

"What do you think? The greater the firepower, the happier my troops. Speaking of firepower, the launch of the ARSNV Hans von Seeckt* is tomorrow. I better get some rest."

*Named after the leading German military advisor to Chiang Kai-shek in the early '30s.

Later that evening...

Another day in the officer calls for another night of rest. Liu often wished that his body would never rest, so that his duties as the Supreme Commander can continue uninterrupted, but being a sniper means relaxation aids performance.

His mind drifts off into another scene of dreams... This time it's two months after the landing. Funny how he had to be called back the to the Mainland. They had expected him to die, why trust some 'banana' (an overseas Chinese). It was meant to be an impossible task, or at least, it should be left to the local forces. Goddamn Separatists, bribed the system and got their spec-ops across to Fujian, now they've captured a DF-31 nuclear ICBM TEL. He was given briefing to act alone on this one. Snipe the guards, sabotage the SAMs, then try to recapture it, if not, destroy it.

http://www.sinodefence.com/nuclear/icbm/df31_3.jpg

It was the first time Liu was involved with WMD. The DF-31 costs the same as an eighty-storey building. It'd be crazy to have that blown sky high with the air support available to him.

Daiyun Shan was hell of a trek. The ingress was some 40km from the objective. Snipers must maintain low profile, they had even considered gliding him in, instead of helicopter. Forty clicks through scrub, in a Ghillie suit, crawling slowly across bushes, rocks and mud, baking under the summer sun. Hardwork it was, dragging a silenced Type 88 sniper rifle, the first of its kind he had been issued with. The mountains were not well-forested, meaning that his movements must be very sneaky, in order to avoid detection.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/images/gsak.jpg

It was only by nightfall that he reached close the abandoned rock quarry where the enemy was camping. The threat to blow up Beijing was nearing an end. SAMs, only a few, mostly of the Avenger models. His NVGs had spotted the soldiers, tenting around their launchers. Thought they'd be more alert than this. The silencer means that he has to get within 300m for a good shot, compromosing the security of distance. One man was having his meal, they camped under a camouflaged canopy net, allowing for a camp fire to be lit for cooking. Liu had the specialized flashless ammunition with him, he did not hesistate to prone for the first shot, seeing the fire is from a gas canister, that must NOT be hit. Instead, the first shot was directed at a standing soldier, enjoying his last meal before a high velocity round pierced his heart. The target fell back, the others shouted in disbelief, one had gotten down in prone while another tried to make contact through his headphone's mic.

Liu shot again, at the one radioing in for reinforcements. Killing another he looked for a third. One of the men shot at him with a T65 assault rifle, the flash exposing his location. There seem to be a pattern it seems, four men per launcher.[i] Best to keep that in mind. hearing the sound of an approaching engine, Liu quickly plucked a T65 (M16A2) and some grenades off the dead before diving to hide in their small tent. He unsheathed the knife to cut out a small opening for vision. It didn't look good, there was a jeep, with four men. One of them looked in his direction with an NVG.

[i]Shit! he thought, snipers ain't suppose to fight sustained engagements. He'd be picked up the IR very soon. Liu applied his quick thinking. Snipe the driver then the machinegunner (with IR), then the rest of the sorry-looking SOBs. The jeep was only 70m away when he had them all killed.

No time for bullshit. He thought. He half-ran to the jeep, steered it to the cliff edge before, releasing the handbrake. He jumped out and dashed back the SAMs. While he's doing all the sabotaging, the jeep will plunge down the ravine, explode and distract the hostiles below. It'll be a steep drop. The hostiles were fanatics, they had chosen to place the ICBM at the bottom of the quarry for the sake of protection by the SAMs above, but if this is some other objective, the Chinese can always fight in through the mouth and retake it, but no, this is an ICBM and they hold Beijing ransom. It's good that state-controlled media ain't reporting this crap, there'll be mass uprising and panic.

He had to hurry and placed the charges on the propellent side of the launchers quickly. Liu looked over the edge, the Jeep was sliding down helplessly at 5th gear, troops at the bottom began shooting wildly at the dead figures, believing that it had been recaptured by the PLA. It plunged by gravity and exploded, a lot of commotion had erupted from underneath, there is no way they could have firefighting equipment to deal with the blaze.

Liu moved off the edge before making his escape. He ran for a few hundred yards or so before pressing the detonator. One down, three more to go. Two explosions in five minutes, it must be nuts for the enemy. As he's guessed it, the launch time is in approx. 20 minutes, the ICBM's self-contianed silo prepped up, erected like a tombstone. There isn't gonna be much time. Liu ran on, he had memorized the directions in his mine, one more on this side of the rim and two more on the next.

Since that time he ripped up those ROCA paratroops with a machinegun, Liu's been considered a loose cannon. Sometimes, this shrewd tactician would abandon conventions for the sake of the mission.

He had purposefully slung the Type 88 out off favor. At times like these, firepower is the answer. Running continuously for 400m and under the stewing heat of his Ghillie suit, he felt like collapsing, but his mind pressed on. Warfare is also about the abuse of the body.

He heard indistinct shouts, the next SAM site must be near. Get down! He told himself. Looking through the magnification channel of his NVGs, another four men, this time more alert than the previous ones he slained. One of them observed foolishly with his binoculars, Liu had a two step plan. He changed the magazine for the T65 before gunning down the observer effectively, at 200m kills are guaranteed. The others must be inside their tent, under the large camouflage canopy. He cursed loudly as he fire erupted from the barrel wildly at the tent, he could her screams of pain as the 5.56mm rounds pierced not only fabric but men. Since when was such an intensive firefight part of the sniper's job?

His ammunition soon ran out. There is no value in returning to the previous waypoint to retrieve more clips from the dead. Liu threw the rifle away, unholstered his pistol and crouched slowly towards the tent to inspect the results. Yep, three dead, one had died behind a machinegun next to the entrance. Damn, if this man was more alert. Liu would be dead as soon as that foolish observer was killed, considering that flash would be enough to be seen. There was also a jeep inside, the keys already in the ignition for readiness. He looks at it briefly before sabotaging the SAM another set of charges.

Having smashed a portion of the windshield for his newly acquired M60, Liu drove on, petal to the metal. Must reach the other SAMs in time. Fifteen more minutes before the launch, he still have the chance. Liu drove on, the jeep accelerated as he avoided the edge, it won't take long before reaching the other side. It was no funny that he had to rely only on his NVGs for vision as the headlights would give his movements away.

He had swirved just in time when the soldiers at the next SAM fired angrily. He jumped out off the door, barely holding on to the M60. Teh engine stalled as machinegun rounds from the enemy pierced it into scrap metal. Taking cover behind the wreckage, Liu raised his NVGs to quickly wipe off the sweat aroudn his eyes before reusing them for aim, then he decided to check the trunk, since it was slowly being wrecked by violent spasms of endless streams of 7.62mm rounds. To his surprise, there was a M136 LAW inside. As he looked on, with his position pinned down, three men with T65s were running towards his jeep. Time to risk! Liu spoke to himself before standing up to take a shot of the LAW at the SAM then dropping down again. As he had expected, the SAM went up in a large ball of flame, incinerating the machinegunner nearby also. The approaching hostiles look back in awe. In meer moments, the tables were turned.

"To hell with you dogs!" Liu picked up the M60 ands sprayed widly at anyone that was in view, killing had become an act of no meaning. As the machinegun's chatter died down, Liu looks at the broken flames with rage. One more to go before it blows!

It was difficult to see the extend of the damage, but other than the M136 there was also an M-72 which he had missed earlier. Liu looked towards the next SAM. There's no need to run anymore. He aimed and fired. The M-72's kilometer range is enough to take it out. Checking his watch, only 8 minutes
before it blows. The bowel, this was the mine ensures that jeeps could only drive, or rather charge down, than up. Liu had to abandon the guards in the previous SAM for the assault to save the Dong Feng (ICBM). First thing's first.

"This is Lone Wolf calling Base. SAMs neutralized, I say again, SAMs neutralized." Liu shouted into his radio, not giving a damn as the airbornes should arrive any minute to clear up this mess. "Requesting info on time remaining if intel applicable, over."

"This is Base. We read you loud and clear, Lone Wolf. Reinforcements en route, T- 5 minutes. Over."

"Lone Wolf to Base. They may not get here on time, I have no choice but to continue the fight. What the devil-" As he spoke, rounds illuminated the air as the hostile bgan to fire upwards towards the ruptured SAMs. They must be trying to flush him out, although his location is not yet known.

"Lone Wolf, is everything O.K. there? I'll make it so. Lone Wolf Out!" Slipping the radio back to his pocket, he crawled over the edge, seeing that two additional jeeps were driving up the only two acceptable paths amongst the rocks, other troops, so many of them were making their way up the jagged rocks, it was easier to go up in the 300m plunge. Liu looked down, M60 at the ready. That piece weights a ton to his arms. With no time to waste, all he could do was spray the fire wildly at the enemy troops approaching. Some of them fell back while others die in grotesque manners of their entrails being torn out and flying, Liu did not care. This is war and it's him or them. It must have been about twenty or thirty on his side of the slope alone, he also aimed and fired at the ones on the other side, probably of equal numbers. Funny how they seem to miss him everytime, looks like a lack of NVGs was his advantage. Being a supposedly spec-ops unit that he's dealing with, they must have had enough trouble smuggling in the SAMs, pity how their fixed defenses were mostly machineguns behind sandbags.

He was not certain whether they were stupid or uneducated, one of the men fired a luminous flare, his position was exposed, forcing him to take cover behind some boulders. They kept rushing at him, their positions also exposed in the cold white light. His M60 killed one who was about to launch an RPG at him. He wasn't if that was the first wave or the last, but the remainder, he spotted had been slipping back to crowd around the launcher, only three more minutes prior to launch. The low drones Y-8 transport aircraft engines could be heard. Liu rushed the machinegunners as his life could not be guaranteed. He dropped like a dead man next to a fallen enemy, removing the readied RPG from the still-warm hands and fired. At about 250m, it seem more like pyrotechnics when the target erupted in flames with the gunner blown sky high. Liu tried to finish the others off with the M60. At first he aimed to take out the nearest ones, but as their stubborness in defending the TEL became a deadly annoyance, Liu jogged on, mowing them down. He sprayed the bullets wildly at the truck cabin. It was of no doubt that the crew survived. Others were shooting at him, more guards, posted at the quarry's entrance.

Liu made another mad dash and entered the driver's position. He threw out that corpse, the dashboard was a graffiti of blood and brain matter. He checked, gasping at the time to be only 52 seconds remaining. A lieutenant in the Chinese Army would not have the knowledge to deactivate such a weapon of mass destruction. One of the ways to abort the launch was crude but he gambled. He pressed a few buttons, raising the struts, freeing the mobnility of the vehicle once more. Without the stability, the prepping was paused and the missile had to be lowered for travel. He looked on through the smashed windshield, the rest of the enemy were shooting wildly at him, their accuracy dramatically low with impending defeat. Liu dropped down instinctively as bullets bounced off the grill of the engine. These men definitely have NVGs, what guards would they be without them? Near one door, he found a Type 85 PDW (similar to an SMG). His eyes scanned for the shooters, also noticing that chutes had unfurled and reinforcements dropping down in black domes. Must allow them to survive to defuse the launch, it had only been paused. Liu started the engine, he left the headlights off for good. His experiences with trucks meant that it was still possible to drive. At first gear and at full acceleration, the engine roared like a devil. He noticed from the rear-view mirrors that some of his men had landed, but he had no need to brake. The TEL being driven had caused a distraction from the guards murdering the vulnerable reinforcements as they dropped. Some of his own men fired at trucks rear thinking that the enemy is making a run for it.

Liu unholstered his 9mm as he drove. The stubborn guards in front were suffiently distracted as more paratroops dropped some distance outside the gate. Liu shot aimlessly with both the 9mm and the Type 85, few were killed as he had to get down again constantly. It sounded clearer than the voices of angels but much harsher, Type 81 rifles, their chunky burst coming from behind the guards quickly killed the remainder of this once proud Taiwanese unit. The victorious airbornes rushed towards his now stopped vehicle, some gave warning shots as they approached with caution. When they all stopped firing, the silence of the night quickly returned in its full eerie nature.

"Get out off the damn truck with your hands up, separatists!" The voice of one Chinese soldier roared, the echo boomed off the landscape.

"Lieutenant, Liberation Army. Sniper. I'm one of your own." Liu replied with equal volume, he had managed to loosen his Ghillie suit and tossed it out off the shattered side window.

"In that case come out." The familiar voice of one of his superiors concluded. Liu kicked opened the battered door and showed himself to the rest of his men. They lowered their rifles and the specialist technicians dashed in, first to throw out the corpses, then to deactivat the launch.

"Sir, I thought I was driving this baby back to base if you folks turn up later than expected." Liu joked, with such close brushes with death, he grinned with satisfaction.

Twenty minutes later, when the helicopters arrived to pick them up. His conversations with some of his other superiors over the webcam, gave hints of a promotion. He received the rank of captain two days later.

***

One dream was over when another one began...

This one was a nightmare. It was a lucid scene of hell, he watched as thousands of men in Hudecian and Quinntonian uniforms stormed the city streets, hoards of them North American devils. They laughed as they commit their sins against the Chinese. Open pits were dug where women and children were stripped then roasted, their officers getting to eat at first kill. Tanks crushed the elderly and men were rounded up to be disembowelled in the open air. Amongst the Caucasian barbarians there were many Malays and Indonesians, the mongrels from south East Asian, now doing Hudecia's dirty work.

This dreamer had no control, he could only watch the premonition with intense disgust. Bayonets pierced the hearts of more children and men, before their still twitching bodies were dined on by military dogs and Indonesians. China was invaded by devils. The same devils with honorable places in Hell.

Liu rushed to wake again, he sat in the bed in the darkness with a mouth wide enough to fit in a grenade, his panting was endless and his eyes closed suddenly as beads of sweat the size of soybeans rolled down from his forehead and stung his eyes.

He was not sure who's message it was but there came another goal in mind.

And crush their idea, we much rebuild our army, however, I am not asking the government to pull funds out of the Xiannese Airforce and Navy, which has developed under the direction Wu and Zhou. However, our army has proved its weakness in Nepal. Thing such as detection systems, newer arms, and most important, better superiority weapons. Our artillery most importantly have been put to only minimal use due to the bad radar systems we have.

I ask the National Parliament to approve the new Billion dollar budget, to fund and improve the millitary expenses of China, so that we may all live without fear of Western Aggression."

With that said, the Xiannese Parliament approved the Bill to provide billions of dollars in to funding the Army, Airforce, Navy, and all the sub branches of the War Department. The Parliament, with a 76% to 28% vote had given Yeh the responsibility to oversee the Xiannese Millitary develope to Asia's Strongest army in the next few years.

As for Chechnya, I figured that the problem never really came up, considering the then-Russian regime left very little to be desired in the way of anything. If I were still Russia, I, I...I WOULD EAT THEIR CHILDREN!! Eh...probably not, but there would be a much better resistance being put up, possibly, given the quality of my very very small military, driving those accursed Estenlandians out of Belarus.

Dragon's Lair: 0845 hours

After a brief jog, some exercise, a little breakfast then a shower. Liu returns to work, with the memory of last night's visions still fresh.

"With our dear Gen. Zhang off to Europe the testing will be postponed, sir." A senior officer from the Xinjiang Garrisson of the ARSSWF asked over the telephone.

"Garbage! Keep testin' 'em. When he's back, just show him a summary of our capabilities." Liu's reply was an order not to be questioned. He finished, hanging up.

"Sir?" Liu's secretary interrupted his train of thought.

"Yes? What is it?"

"Why did you signed the paperwork, ordering the delay of the ARSNV Hans von Seeckt's launch. People expect more supercarriers from us, sir."

"I've made up some bogus technical difficulties for later. Your military experience is still young. You shall see why."

"People expect a lot from us!"

"They do, but if we satsify all their demands, we'll be hold to ransom. We are leaders, the nation moves at our pace. A postponement may have positive implications."

"Sir, for once I fail to see your logic."

"Don't pretend that this is the first time."

==========================================================

SSNN (Sinoese State News Network) Studio, Ningbo: 0900 hours

"3, 2, 1 and ACTION!" The clapperboard snapped shut.

"In this special edition of The Nightly Military Report, we reveal the newest career option in our military- the Suicide Attack Corps. With me now in the studio is 'Mr. Chen', a soldier who has vowed to his life to China and will take his enemies to Hell while he accepts his place in Heaven." Li Deng Hua, the show's long-time host introduced the topic to the later audience and the cameras panned from him to a man dressed in total black.

The studio crews could not believe their sight. Before them, seated adjacent to the host is a tall, broad man dressed in a black trenchcoat, with an equally black balaclava, the only skin showing were his lips and fingertips, he had worn a pair of black gloves and dark sunglasses. The only bit of color this fanatic possessed was a red band tied around his forehead, the black inscription read 'Zhong Guo Gan Si Dui (Chinese Suicide Corps)'.

"Tell me a bit about yourself. There are people out there who will call you a nut."

"I was a failure in high school and got myself in and out off trouble during my youth. I've burgled, stolen cars and had even considered robbing a bank." Mr. Chen's voice was neutral and mechanical. "They sent me to juvie and then to prison. I decided to join the Army when I came out, knowing that it's better to be bossed by some sergeant than to be distracted with theft. They did not like my criminal record, but looked to see that I was especially hardcore during my high school days. So with a bit of political education and some military training, I'm here." He opened his coat, revealing the explosvies. "Of course, the ordinance is not like this at all, really. They come in various forms"

"Now, is your units full of people like you?" Li asked as Mr. Chen closed up his trenchcoat again.

"Not at all, Li. They come from all walks of life. Some of them you would even doubt their fitness. They can be housewives, former inmates, like me, even divorced men and war widows. What I can tell you is that they are all ready to die for our cause, Li. They felt that their lives have been wasted and that China's continued survival has become their primary concern." As he spoke, moving images of some of suicide bombers were shown on the TV screens behind them. Some cover fired for others as the ran to the targets, pretending to detonate.

"Hold it there, soldier. Are you saying that there are those of us out there who are willing to sacrifice themselves for their country in your method?"

"Absolutely, Li. We don't just blow ourselves up when ordered to, we can commit other attacks that which the survival either party is highly questionable. We span across the military, even units in the air and naval forces. A bulk of our comrades are in the Reservists but they are just as ready. Our motto is "Our lives don't matter; only victory does!""

"Mr. Chen, does this mean victory at all costs?"

"What do you think?"

Li was about to reply when 'Mr. Chen' raised his left hand in front of the host's face before lowering it and joining with his other hand to form fists on the table.

"Let me finish. China is in its most dangerous time! If we have to be martyred for the survival of our state and race, future generations will honor our courage with unabated admiration. I've taken enough from my country, but I was born and will die to love it. There are those of us who are ready to give something back to Zhonghua!"

"You obviously have very unemotional views towards death, mind telling me why?"

"When a civilian becomes a soldier, he knows that he's dead, until he is discharged back into civilian life. We live in very dangerous times, Li. I am more willing and ready to die so that more good citizens of China can live. Our corps does not have destinct uniforms or insignia, but we have one common goal- when duty calls, we kills." The camera zoomed in to Mr. Chen's face.

"And cut!" The director ordered.

Mr. Chen rose up to shake hands with Li and some members of the crew. These may be the last hands he'll shake. He moved out off the filming area, escorted by two armed men in ARSA BDUs. They entered an unmarked white van and it drove off promptly.

"Coming up next," Li returned to the rest of the news analysis. "Will von Seeckt see action? Our next report looks at the future of our new supercarrier that was scheduled for launch today. Do join us after the commercials."

OOC: Wow.

The Xiannese government were impressed and weary of the Sinoese Suicide Corps. The Sinoese State News Network were one of the highest ranking programs in Xiaguo. The news of such an army of brave soldiers willing to give up their lives to China's cause has actually frightened the Xiannese.

The Sinoese were not the only ones with approved 'suicidal patriots'. The Xiannese, Zhong Hua Guang Ming Special Forces were not copies of Sino's, instead of pledging an allegiance to die for China, the Xiannese has trauined these soldiers for a ready-death in case it came to a point where it is totally necessary. The Special forces are trained secretly at Nei Mongolian, and Sichuan Bases.

A special feature documentary has recently been filmed and broadcasted on SSNN, titled My Life for China! Viewers watched with enthusiasm and awe...

"I'm always ready to blow 'em up if that's what it takes for China to live." A man with a balaclave, dressed in BDUs told the interviewer. "The mind in the greatest weapons and the body is a very effective delievery system."

Scenes changed, showing men in civilian uniforms firing Type 87As in urban warfare training. They were covering a nother man who ran towards a certain brick bulding before, expanding his arms in the air, indicating that he had completed his pretend detonation.

http://www.sinodefence.com/army/special/papspecial_1.jpg

"Our boys have seen action before. This is the first time that we reveal to you that in the campaign to reclaim Bonstocknian occupied Taiwan Is., some of thse men disguised themselves as civilians in order to get close to base camps where insurgents operated, they then did their duty, saving a piece of China." Commented an officer who's face was censored. His service uniforms showed that he had a major's epaulets.

"The concept of suicide missions go far beyond zealots using their bodies as means of delievering bombs." Another officer with his face censored explains.

"They are snipers, who will risk their lives to take out their targets." He continued speaking, the scene changed to show a masked sniper in training, shooting continuously despite 'hostiles' closing in on his position. "We have suicide pilots who are willing to crash various models of aircraft and exploiting the high octane fuels to incinerate entire city blocks. Similar actions can be achieved with ships of various models. We also have suicide arsonists who are willing to attack chemical and ordinance manufacturies by lighting fires that they know they will never emerge from in one piece."

As he spoke, scenes changed accordingly, only the training for suicide pilots was not shown.

"We dress accordingly. Whether it be different kinds of civvies or the good old BDUs." Another masked soldier spoke as the scene changed. "When duty calls, I'm willing to go to that country and blow myself up."

Before the credits, a group of masked men in mixed dress of civilian and military attire stood in line to shout the final slogan before the credits.

"My life for China!"

Sichuan Military District Air Force HQ:

"You summoned me, sir?" Sr. Col. Huang Dai Peng of the ARSAF, a burly man in his forties stepped into Gen. Liu's office.

"Yes, soldier. I didn't say 'at ease' did I?" The General seemed to be at a pissed off mood. "This is of serious concerns, Mr. Huang."

Huang looked concerned, noticing that his rank was not mentioned as a title.

"You know how hard it is to silence the press?" Liu's position in power ensures that fear can be struck into the hearts of those who are much older than him.

"Well..."

"Well, what?! I have managed to pay that photographer a hefty sum, just to save your ass! This is serious!" Liu paused, before opening a dossier on the desk. Long range shots showed Huang, in his service uniform, kissing his secretary in the car.

Huang's response was neutral. Best not to show fear in front of one's superiors just to save one's own skin.

"Keen eye for ‘refreshments’, Mr. Huang. A well-mannered man with good tastes. Pity how you've got a wife and family. What would she say?" Liu continued his lecture. "Looks like if this is leaked to the press, you'll be the Bill Clinton in our ranks. The ARSCF is renowned for Prussianistic discipline, now that corruption accusations sprout like mushrooms after rain, I suggest you think like a Chinese man, with your brains and not with your balls. Tell me Huang, why the two of you, in your car, mouth to mouth, both in your uniforms? Was she your Lewinsky, giving you hummers from beneath the desk?"

"General, sir! Please! I'd do anything to keep my marriage and my job! Spare me, sir!I've made it this far in the Air Force..." Huang was close to sobbing when Liu raised a hand, indicating that he should shut up.

"Relax, Mr. Huang. Your secret is safe with us for now. If I wanted to get rid of you, I would have let them be published then have you taken instead of here, to a concrete wall. Your wife will watch in cool pleasure, as your blood and brain matter fly out after the firing squad does what they're paid to do. Nobody ruins the image of our beloved Air Force and the Military Junta.”

Huang took a sigh of relief. He fished out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the sweat off his forehead.

“Pack your things immediately. You’re leaving in six hours. To redeem yourself, you are to lead a delegation to Nakhon Nayok. Further instructions are on a briefcase next to your designated aircraft seat. Meet back here in six hours and if you arrive later, I’ve ordered the MPs to shoot you.” Gen. Liu explained. “Don’t you worry, if your performance is substandard, your wife will know for sure.”

“I give you my kindest thanks for your mercy, sir.” Huang finished with a salute. Knowing that there is a chance of his reputation being saved. Liu saluted back.
“Show him the way out.” Liu said to his own secretary.

“I won’t fail you.” Huang said as he was led out the door.

“Don’t worry, you won’t be seeing your whore for some time. I had her promoted to a new post in Xinjiang.” Gen. Liu gave his farewell, his face grinning with a wicked smile.

OOC: Democracy is the White man's secret weapon to create internal strife in China. In the case of AMW, Quinntonia pretends not to give a rat's ass while, it funds Hudecia's attacks against Xiaguo and the mobilization of Indonesians to invade South China and Taiwan. You really think that Chinese people can sleep well at night?
Beth Gellert
06-02-2005, 05:28
Close to well put. Democracy as it is most widely understood is basically as Sino describes it. It is just another implement by which one group wields power over all others. In the real world it is used as an excuse -a cover- for an imperialist agenda that today is favoured most noticibly by a tiny special interest group in American society.

In character, the difference between Sino and Beth Gellert in this regard is that while both parties see this basic truth, the Sinoese are reactionary and clutch for the first obvious alternative, choosing to remove the problem of false democracy by going back to autocracy and promoting nationalism as a defence. The Beddgelens thought on the matter at a little greater length and struggled towards direct democracy, destroying the power of minority special interest groups and eliminating the foundations of imperialism, protecting themselves against foreign corruption by ensuring widespread domestic understanding of the inferiority of western representative democracy. A much more robust measure than the Sinoese reaction, which potentially leaves citizens open to imprinting with the false impression that western 'democracy' is better than their current servitude.

While being unimpressed by it, Beddgelens at least understand this Chinese approach. It is when the issue of economy is broached that understanding of their Asian neighbours begins to fall down. To Igovians it seems self evident that community of goods is good for... spirit of community, and that none-acceptance of the imperialists' economic practices further stiffens resistance to their corrupting approaches. Beddgelens tend to assume that the Sinoese will either reach similar conclusions over time, or else continue to hide and take reactionary measures until they are broken-down by the false-democrats, Christians, and market slaves from the west.

These truths and ideas are all expressed in readily available Igovian literature from pamphlets to artistically-relevant novels, and can be picked up in-character from any number of none-profit sources ;)

"Here, El Salvadorian army, have another hundred million dollars. Go kill a few thousand unarmed protesters while you're at it."

IC:

Hindustan keeps quiet concerning China. After all, without a nuclear arsenal to yield and with one of the smaller per-capita militaries around, there isn't much to be done in the event of another Chinese attempt on Nepal.

The popular congress continues to condemn worldwide human rights abuses, the primary focus of Hindustani foreign policy, and also includes, here and there, disapproval over Sinoese militarism and the Hudecian invasion of China.

With the military more or less recovered from the costly but abrupt war in Kanendru, the HDF finishes production runs of several new types, particularly aircraft. The first batch of FA. 37s is finally distributed to all the recipient squadrons, once and for all removing the Hawker Hunter from HAF service, and measurably improving the airforce's capabilities. This, coupled with the continued successful operation of the FA. 6 and Jaguar models, reflects the HDF's excellent standards of maintainance and equipment.

Unlike Beth Gellert or the rest of the sphere, Hindustan does not particularly disapprove of Quinntonia, although Hudecia is another matter entirely. England must be respected, considering that the UK was Hindustan's primary supplier of arms for the better part of four decades, and that the French are conveniently kept in check by the Royal Navy.

While it is unlikely, in the government's eyes, that Sino looks at Hindustan as anything more than a target, it is hoped that some kind of working relationship can be made with Liu's junta, without compromising the government's strong support for independence movements in Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet (although such support is not a source of weaponry, especially considering that Tibet, with its Buddhist faith, abhors violence on the whole) and support for Singaporean soveriegnty.

The government makes it clear that it disapproves of the conflict between Xiaguo and Hudecia in the strongest terms, and that it hopes the medical equipment and personnel dispatched to the conflict zone can help minimize the deaths, but it also recognizes that if it was not for this conflict, many more Xiannese divisions would be free to pursue their leadership's interests in Kanendru.

The support for independence movements in China prevent any healing of relations between Hindustan and China. Hindustan, along with others believe that racial conflict in China must be stirred up to help undermine the territorial sovereignty. Old imperialist tricks will not work, for the Sinoese Military Junta works endlessly to prevent the destruction of the Chinese nation and the preservation of Chinese territories. China is renowned for its cultural diversity and the Hans and other nationalities respect each other. What countries like Hindustan wants is to destroy this harmony to ease the take over or destruction of the Chinese nation.

Considering that Hindustan's support for these movements go unabated, the Sinoese will continue their sanctions. The day that Sino stops seeing Hindustan as a threat is the day Hindustan learns to mind its own business and stop trying to interfere in our affairs.

[OOC: I'll have to back Xiaguo up on the Tibet issue. Historically, the Buddhist kingdom of Tibet was a rather brutal place, especially in those periods where the monks stood firmly in political power.

At present, puting aside the fact that the majority of Tibets population is now Han Chinese, their stuation is a rather interesting one. They have freedom of religion, but not political freedom. crackdowns, when they occur, are against monks who us their religious positions to pontificate on Tibetan independance or the evils of Chin and the CCP. Not pretty, but more complex than the story that often gets heard in the rest of the world of crackdowns against Buddhism itself. There are restrictions, most notably a maximum number of monks, which does seem too low to allow proper performance of ritual across the population, but when the CCP first sent troops into Tibet, supporting the massive number of clergy that existed was keeping the majority of the populace on the brink of starvation. Not really a better alternative.

China funnels billions of dollars into Tibet... ts current regional budget far exceeds its own tax-base capabilities, even if its economy were to magically transform to US income levels. Some have accused this investment of benefitting Han Chinese and not Tibetans... this is true, but not on a conspiracy scale. Simply, development across China is urban. Chinese immigrants to Tibet establish themselves in cities. Money goes to cities. Tibetans and Han in the cities benefit. In Tibet, the rural people are all Tibetans, and as the rural population recieves little support, statistics show them to be disadvantaged. But the rural population remains without investment across the width and breadth of the great rooster-shaped country. Chinese economic policy discriminates against peasants, not Tibetans per se. (Mao is probably rolling over in his mausoleum... which may have been the intention o Deng & co. when they chose this policy direction).

As for the Dalai Lama... yes, his words are of peace and love, and he speaks as a student of original Buddhist teachings. But this is more a product of his exile than of his status as a Tibetan Buddhist... Tibetan Buddhism is intrinsically lnked with Tibet's indigenous animism, and included numerous invocations commonly practiced pre-1950 that involved animal sacrifice or cursing certain individuals. Though my own cultural upbringing makes me biased to see the DL's reversion to a purer form of Buddhism as positive, it is questionable wether peace, love, and enlightenment would have as quickly become the focus of Tibetan faith had he not fled Lhasa, and had communism not caused changes preventing reversion back into theocratic feudalism.

Ugh... I talk too much. But people villify China as the black in a 'black vs. white' moral debate over Tibet, when in fact both sides are soiled shades of grey.]

[OOC: LRR, Dont feel too badly... no one can know everything about everything.

The Free Tibet issue just tends to be approached by a lot of people as one of an idealistic Buddhist state being oppressed by a murderous occupying force. Its a lot more complex than that.

I do however need to quantify myself... when I blather on about Tibet, I tend to get swept up in the Chinese side of the story, as its usually the part no one really thinks about. But the CCP administration of Tibet has done more than its share of awful things... because of concerns over rebellion, crackdowns in Tibet tend to have been severe, with numerous people who were likely innocent swept up as collateral damage, and the anti-religious attitdes of some officials, and the Red Guard during the Cultural Revolution, resulted in quite wanton destruction of cultural and religious sites & artifacts.

I went to a Buddhist monastery on Putuoshan (in Zhejiang, i think...) this summer, where an ederly monk gave my group [via translator] a summary of his renewed hope for Buddhism across China as prosperity led many to begin rediscovering a Buddhist cultural heritage. He did, however, also tell a tale of the Cultural Revolution, where monks who wore dot-marks on their foreheads would be accosted and have those marks cigarette-burned into their skin... especially in Tibet, torture of monks may not have been policy, bt it was certainly not rare.

The point I'm trying to make is not that the ideals behind a 'Free Tibet' movement arent bad, its just that the idea of full independence and a Tibetan reversion to 'pure Buddhist roots' fails to consider the actual situation. To me at least, and it seems in some ways to the Dalai Lama (as he seems to have ceased himself to call for independance, and has in recent years been in communication with Beijing about a settling of differences so he might at least return to visit Tibet), efforts would be better concentrated on assuring that Tibetan Buddhism be freed from remaining restrictions, that institutional tendencies in the Chinese government to react severely to Tibetan difficulties are weeded out, and on rural aid in general to help those who remain impoverished outside the new prosperity. ]

[OOC: Resurgence in Christianity, yes, i belive numbers are increasing, though this has occured simultaneous to, and likely as part of, a general resurgence in Chinese spirituality. [Though, given that God's Second, Chinese Son ruled Southern China for a stretch, it shouldnt be surprising.]

As for implications for US relations/ the war on terrorism... I'm not sure how levels of Chinese christianity will have much of an effect. China is certainly against terrorism (muslim seperatism in Central Asia, for example, is a concern), but not particularly eager to kowtow to the American agenda associated with a particular vision of the 'War on Terror'. Their foreign policy still follows Zhou Enlai's concept of benevolent neutrality, which I believe has earned China quite a bit of respect amongst nations, especially those formerly of the Non-Aligned movement out of the Cold War.

The key issue for US-China relations is beoming economic. China's expanding economy serves as a convenient political scapegoat in certain US political circles, and though China has succesfully weathered it so far without response, hostility may eventually beget hostility, and it certainly doesnt make the target eager to offer full cooperation.

What may be interesting in the future will be the impact of China's policy of buying up US debt, and new-issue bonds, in large quantities. As the US borrows more money, a large chunk of it will be emerging from China. Which, at the very least, means that the RMB (yuan) wont be set afloat until the CCP is good and ready for it.]

I have met them, maybe later I'll post some History forums, and CHinese Nationalist Forums. Educate youself, so that you can understand.

Which also means, China may have somewhat control of the United States, both economically, and politically.

Such as
Politically - Pulling out from Neutrality and Supporting China on the Taiwanese Independence, partly because Chen Sui Bian can't shut up.

Economically - The Dollar. The Trade. In America, I can say 80% of the stuff is made in China, if CHina would suddenly put a halt to trade, we'd all be screwed here in America.

Christianity is sometimes a dangerous tool we, as Chinese, think the Western world is using as a weapon. It is similiar and can be attributd to Democracy, another tool of Western countries to shift power. Although Christianity is not banned, "Chinese Constitution Allows Freedom of Religion" the news about Chinese persecuting Buddhists and Chritians, and occasionally Muslims is because they used religion to cover up their seperatist acts. Having Congregations talking about Taiwanese Independence, Muslim meetings dicussing about Xinjiang Independence. Buddhist prayer gatherings dicussing about Tibetan being persecuted, who in turn may have done exactly the same.

OOC:

Direct elections are not possible, considering that large population sizes (like Indian) means that the votes will take at least a month to count. Elections exist only at local levels, with no parties being permitted and the monitoring of the works and agendas of candidates by the police. At these low levels, debate is encouraged but the Military Junta keeps a close watch. Like the Singaporean or Hong Kong way, "Who gives a crap about politics when you're either very satisfied or that when your next meal's gonna come worries you." (in other words, they have more productive things to do than argue all day and produce no results in the end). This natural Asian apathy towards politics is one reason why true and fair democracy is difficult to implement in many Asian countries.

Subversive movements such as separatism and communism are serious concerns, resulting in the monitoring of religious organizations, trade unions and the media. Media freedoms works at a level pre-communist China or Israel, where censors frequent news desks and newspaper presses, ready to pull the plug when necessary.

It is definately growing fast, although I would say that certain regions are more Christian than others. Some rural areas have experienced such astounding growth of Christianity that even secular news stations are surprised (Asahi News). Although, many Chinese still remain ignorant (as in not knowing) of what Christianity stands for.

One of my friends from Qingdao, once told me that she has no idea what being 'a Christian' means. However, she also said that a number of her uncles are pastors or deacons (she said 'high ranking officials in the church').

What is also remarkable is the movements by American-Chinese and Canadian-Chinese to return to China to preach the Word. Whereas Christianity was once seen as a 'white man's religion', ethnic Korean and Chinese missionaries are changing that viewpoint quickly and exposure of Chinese people to 'real Christians' is helping that along.

OOC:If China try raising the Yuan's value, then the United States would be screwed. However, China's economy wouldn't go well after that.

OOC: You've got it a bit backwards. China is currently expending vast resources in artificially deflating the RMB, and with good reason: keeping their currency low for the next little while is an important component of maintaining growth and living standards. With a high RMB, goods in China would be more expensive to purchase with foreign currencies. Export industries would tank. Foreign investment would divert elsewhere for cheaper production, and the capital currently available amongst Chinese would also follow the higher profit margins, thus not re-investing in China's development. The new era of growth currently being experienced would slow to a comparative trickle.
A low RMB is in China's best intrest, and as evidenced by policy, the CCP knows it. (For example, why do they buy up so much US debt? Though some may think its an evil plot to dominate the world, ts actually primarily because it inflates their foreign currency reserves while depleting their RMB reserves, thus increasing foreign currency value and devaluing the RMB, while giving them foreign capital useable on international exchanges for tweaking the yuan to optimal value. Financial influence over the US is just a fringe benefit, and one I doubt will see much use, or even be publically acknowledged by US policymakers).

The regular US calls for China to stop devaluing the RMB, and to let it float, aren't really very smart either... they seem more political sour grapes, a desire to slow down the economy of a nation percieved as a potential strategic-economic danger. But a higher yuan wouldnt bring employment positions from China to the United States, or US investment back from foreign projects. It would simply mean more jobs/money going to countries who still have lower currencies, accompanied by a period of difficulty for US citizens when the purchasing power of the US dollar at home drops due to absence of cheaply-produced goods (The cheaper the production, the more can be bought per dollar... raise production cost and a dollar gets you much less).

The big beneficiaries of a higher RMB would actually be nations in Southeast Asia, and India, as money and employment positions no longer heading into China would find those countries to be a comparable alternative.]

Actually, I agree with you about the U.S. just being stupid and trying to slow down, as what they call, the Evil Commie Chinese. lol.

And wehat you said about Chinese keeping their currency down, and the reason, I absolutely agree, I mentioned about Chinese keeping it low for everyone in Asia for their sake. The Chinese expierimented on raising the Yuan, and it failed, believe it was in 1989? 1990? 1991? Asian countries had a mini depression, and it was about to get worse until the Chinese dropped the value and decided to keep it at a same rate.

NOTE: The USA is the only country which speacks openly and offensively opn China's economic practices, and also is the leader of the "Nations who think China is a Threat" league. The U.S. brought up a bill to ban things, or prohibit China's freedom every year, ranging from Humane Treatment, Millitary expenses, and crap like that. Every year, it gets defeated. 27 - 0

Sometimes the U.S. doesn't know how to quit, for example, 300 billion dollars expected, long term, for the war.

OOC: Oh come on now, the US has legitimate fears about China. They are the world's second superpower, they are anti-democratic, anti-human rights, and Communist. The leader of China himself stated that he wants to unseat the US as the primary military power in the world. You know, it's funny, liberals like to whine about America's human rights abuses, calling for our annihilation after the mild incident of hazing that was Abu Gihraib, while almost completely overlooking China's horrific track record. After all, who is the country with the highest capital punishment rate? China. (Possibly Saudi Arabia.) Who gets the most flack for capital punishment? America. Who is blamed for locking terrorists in Guantanamo without a lawyer? America. Who consistently tosses dissidents into prison and throws away the key? China.

China is a threat because its COMMUNIST????????????????

If this is your view, then your entire opinion on the matter is invalidated.

China is a one-party dictatorship with popular elections spreading at the local level and in-party elections for higher postings. The party in charge has evolved out of one that was Communist.

But if you hold any belief that a single socialist principle still guides their policy, then you should perhaps actually go there and open your eyes.

The Chinese are some of the most dedicated capitalists I've ever seen... identify need, provide for need cheaply and efficiently in order to maximize profit... seems a natural consideration in everything. And the 'socialist market economy' is just a way to save a bit of embarrasment as former communists let loose the dogs of capitalism in one of the world's most free markets. Well, not free if you take the fact that private property rights are now enshrined constitutionally to be a binding chain...

Are they pro-democratic? not really... the Party wants to maintain power. But it doesnt have the capacity to do so. Currently it can't effectively tax the majority of its population, let alone watch them for dissidence, and if a popular democratic movement arose, it couldnt be stopped. But right now the average Chinese person is too busy making money to worry too much about that. Human rights are a similar story... though unlike the US, China doesn't go around claiming to be their most staunch defender. China kills through the death penalty the most of any country in the world... not an important statistic since it also has the largest population... totalling 1/2.5 million citizens. The US rate is lower by a not-insubstantial margin, at 1/4.5 million. Of course, one must note that government corruption is a capital offence in China, so a chunk of those are power-abusing state functionaries. Still, I'll grant that a death is a death.

As for the percieved strategic threat posed by China... its a load of crap, simply put. Its a matter of projection and scale. China lacks the capacity to project even sufficient troops to take Taiwan... standing orders for a number of troops still remain 'swim the Taiwan Strait'. The Taiwan issue is, however, fiercely nationalistic, uniting Party, military, and populace: if Taiwan declared independance, war would likely ensue regardless of difficulty.

But Taiwan is a blip, seen as an internal dispute not an international affair, a special case, in a foreign policy that continues to follow the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistance and the other philosophies put in place by Zhou Enlai.
China has nuclear missiles, yes. But there isnt a single strategic purpose to a Chinese first strike against anyone. Chinese nuclear technology is purely for MAD.
China has a large army, yes. But they have the largest population, and fourth largest landmass. Border security alone requires substantial manpower. Yet China has pursued a policy of reduction in military spending and numbers for some time now... the bulk of their forces are Armed Police... part-time part-trained patrolmen with rifles. The key area they're trying to expand in? SAMs. Unless there's a massive floating city i havent been told about, not the most offensive technology.

In essence, anyone who studies China by looking at China will recognize that what capability they have is highly defense-oriented, and that they continue to pursue a 'I wont bother with your internal affairs, dont bother with mine' foreign policy.

Conversely, if you study China by reading books written twenty years ago by North Americans about China, then theyre going to appear to be an evil demon which wants world domination in order to torture innocent white folks.

Take your pick, I suppose. [Said's Orientalism, anyone?]

WOW.

Great job. That was actually very thorough. Well said.

Currently, there was a plan on how the attacks would work in Taiwan.

Six day attacks? China also has the world's largest airforce.

"My cousin is in the Communist Party there. Oh no, she will oppress me!And kick the freedom out of me"

Well, she currently resides in France studying Computer Engineering. The Communist party in China has about two million members.

Elections start from City Governments. Democracy does not fit for all, especially since China has been a country with a strong central government for about 4,000 years. Such government is required because there are so many people.

Liberals..Oh? I just read in the Washington Post that several U.S. soldiers who were tortured in Abu Ghraib, Iraq during the First Gulf War were trying to sue the Iraqi government. The BUSH ADMINISTRATION DEMANDED THEM to stop the pursuit in suing the Iraqi Government with the reasoning of, "They need money right now." Tell me, why can those tortured Iraqis in Abu Ghraib sue, and not the Americans?

And let's admit it, The American Justice system sucks. Petty lawsuits, long term court rulings. I mean, murderers shouldn't get 16 years in prison or life in prison if it was seriously a planned out murder, they should be executed. Maybe some of the things might need time for factual evidence to show up, but sometimes I think they just want to waste tax payers' money, spending it on lawsuits.

China has no choice but to have Week long hearings and 3 day rulings. Unlike the U.S., China is extremely large in population. They CANNOT take months for every case. Some who are to be executed include but not limit to the following; Murder (Either you killed them, or you didn't), Rape, Drug Dealer, corruption (of course, it'll have to be serious).

I would feel compelled to respond, but I think that Spyr's pretty well said it all. He's terribly handy, that Spyr.

I'll add -because I'm waiting for some eggs to fry and have a minute- that China does take a good deal of flak... you, AC, not being Chinese, don't tend to be on the end of it like you may be in regard to anti-American sentiment. I don't see how the level of criticism directed at China should be an issue in criticising the US, anyway.

"My client pleads not guilty on the grounds that he didn't kill nearly as many people as Jack the Ripper, who continues to evade justice to this day! Secure a conviction on the Whitechapel murders before you start getting at him for a measly two child beheadings!"

China kills one in every two and a half million of its citizens, it's okay for the US to kill one in every four and a half million. China vanishes a few dissenters from its streets, the US vanishes them from somebody else's. China invades Tibet, the US invades Afghanistan, which isn't quite as cuddly.

...China jumps off Tower Bridge, the US jumps off an unremarkable fly-over.

On the down side, I feel a bit like I wasted my time defending Igovian Thought to an audience that calls China communist.

OOC: Oh, I'm logged in to the wrong BG, but yeah, 's me, obviously, BG. Erm, Igovians in Sino? I'm not sure, I hadn't really thought about it at length. Most want change in Sino, but also recognise that it'd be a gigantic pain in the backside to try forcing it, and just stay at home and live their lives, taking any opportunity to tell anyone who'll listen why Sino needs progress and in what direciton.

In Sino there's probably hundreds rather than thousands of Beddgelens there for one reason or another, as it's a big place. Most would just hang out with whatever left-leaning student groups or other organisations may exist... probably a few in the cities would pass out illegal information and copies of Iskra!, the Igovian newspaper, while others perhaps out in the country might actually try to get involved in poorer districts and help them to organise something like Obshchinas where the peasants take control of their own land's administration and decide amongst themselves who gets what according to their needs. If they fail to get any positive reaction even from the most down-trodden ranks of society, I imagine that most would have moved on to other projects, perhaps trying their luck in Xiaguo. If they do get anywhere, they might try to sneak Chinese sympathisers out with them when your authorities start to crack down, but if any Chinese leftists choose to resist government crackdowns, those brave enough to have gone as missionaries will probably try to stand with them 'till the last.

The Beddgelen government doesn't really take any exceptional responsibility for such people, as they're, well, their own people. Contrary to popular belief, Beddgelens are actually in many ways a lot more free from central regulation than most foreigners. They do what they like, because they are free people first and Beddgelens second. Most will behave as I've said, but not even every Beddgelen agrees with me, so if you want to have just a minority behave in a different fashion you're free to have them do so as individuals.

I'd stop and RP the reactions of one or two Beddgelens in China, but I'm just so tired, so I'm off to sleep off some booze. G'night.

Obscenities and vulgarity have always been rather taboo in Hindustan. Speaking with what is considered very rude language in everyday conversation is one Sinoese custom that is not well understood in Hindustan. Huntoon's discrete reference to a certain human action is almost crossing the line in itself, although the near-universal popularity of Funk and Soul music in Hindustan has trained people to be generally acceptant of certain lyrics.

A Xiannese megaphone blasted out crazed shouts and screams of insult which are of no effect to the Sinoese. A poorly tuned speaker meant that it sounded more like a man f*cking a cat and having his balls ripped out of his ass at the same time.

"When do we tell 'em to be quiet?" Corporal Sai, the company's sniper reported to the lieutenant colonel's office.

"The task which drives the basic theory of Nationalism is to clarify the relationship of man to the world and man to the society in which he lives, with special regard to the Nation, Race, and People...With this as the fundamental question, we can eventually elucidate; after we have considered all possible paths, a action-centered approach; this is the philosophical principle that the enlightened individual is the master of his surroundings. Given this, Nationalism can be expounded to allow each individual the oppurtunity to become a part of an independent unit to be built out of the People, so that an independent and sovereign state can be built."

(Damn it, wrong account, again!)

After several consultations between Soviet representatives and Senate attendees, and the CPCS, Portmeirion has sent official gratitude to the Xiannese for their efforts in evacuating innocent Beddgelens from Sino. It has also offered to send wing-in-ground-effect vehicles to transport any injured survivors back to Beth Gellert for treatment so as not to labour the Xiannese state any further.

Largely unaware of the details of the situation between the two major Chinas, The Commonwealth is assessing the possibility of offering to discuss renewed trade links with Xiaguo in order to encourage continued resistance to Sinoese threats and intimidation.

China continues to confuse Hindustan. The actions of Sino and Xiaguo seem very strange to the government, especially the embracement of Communism by the Xiannese authority, after attempting to eradicate it in Kanendru.

But like always, Hindustan says very little. Perhaps any public anti-semitism on the part of the Xiannese government will warrant a response, given the fact that much of the Hindustani cabinet is jewish and there is a large eastern european community in Hindustan.

"Do you know that the Japanese, kill, and pour petro on our parents bodies, along with inocent people? Once they turn into ash, do you know that the ask will fly into heaven and become clouds? And when it rains, we shall go to the Yangtze, we shall say farewell to our parents because when it rains, and we see the river, it is like seeing our parents."

The growing tensions between the Chinas can trigger like clouds of thunder. Especially when the Xiannese government has unleashed its "Nationalism Policies."

Although the Jewish community in either China is few, anti-Semitism in the ranks of the Xiannese have been ludicrous as Israel's various technological aids to China had been beneficial.

No man, woman or child in South China would seriously consider national unity under the ignorant, irrational and disgraceful Northerners. All of a sudden, the closet Communists whip up a storm of emotion like a kid who's ice cream cone had fallen on the ground, while considering that their 'nationalists' have dared to change the name of China. Truly a pathetic disgrace to the Red Banner with Five Stars. Contraditions are often pointed out in Xiannese government flaws that details communistic excesses and the false 'nationalism' attributed to it. Xiaguo's military is still one of the most laughable organizations of China.

The Miltiary Junta fears serious anti-Semitic riots and pogroms and is willing to help the relocation of Jews to either Sino or back to Israel. Communism, founded by a Jew is surprisingly subtle in its anti-Semitic leanings.

In a rare televized interview by SSNN, Gen. Liu has expressed his casual views towards the situation.

"Sir, by any chance is a new Chinese Civil War likely to occur?"

"No Chinese person will ever enjoy the prospects o the experience of such a home grown conflict, but I can assure you, should that day come we are ready to unite all of China." The General replied calmly.

"Reports and propaganda from the North claims that they can blitz us in a matter of weeks. Why isn't there concern fuming from the Dragon's Lair?"

"Young man, I can assure you, it is the North that's stirring this storm in a teacup; entirely their fault in making a subtle division of our administrations to an extension of the 38th parallel. We have nothing to worry about, since their military capabilities and tactical aspects are as laughable as the thousands Ivans in WWI charging at a German machinegunner with nothing but sabers." General Liu's overwhelming confidence was expected.

"So you're saying that they are no threat to us?"

"Let me put it this way, has that pig wearing a mortarboard, Yeh, ever fought for China? Has he ever managed to secure a better result in battle than a draw? Has that man who claims to be the leader of all China stared death in the face? The answer is no to all of the above. His so-called victory over the Hudecians was a first, only by a minute margin. His 'generals' have ordered entire divisions to dig in when they are being pounded from the air, the charge of millions of exposed infantrymen at heavily fortified positions and the use of cavalry against armor, just to name a few." Gen. Liu went on with his lecture.

"Incompetence in battle yes. But don't we all learn from our mistakes?"

"Please allow me to finish. Throughout the years, the first line of defence against any invasion or political trick to destroy China, the Military Junta had been the first line of defense. This man, who hides behind a new set of khakis has been compromising China's interests towards many hostiles. He is a closet communist who wants to revise the tyranny of Mao while preaching free love and democracy as a cover. Up there, the tortured peasants remain under back breaking labor, while over here, the skyscraper agriculture have paid off and former peasants can find work or military service. Learning from his mistakes is something the mentally unwell cannot comprehend, the only thing he has learnt is how to commit more." Liu paused, taking a sip of water from the glass.

"Millions of young men, driven by his ridiculous aims and tactics of failure have perished. I feel sorry for all the parents who have lost their sons and wives without husbands because of that fool. Thousands of the intelligentsia and businessmen have came south because of his work behind every devastating conflict up there. Yeh has never mentally aged more than fifteen and holds the views of communism, which are close to extinction. Yeh's pathetic regime has relied heavily on the Military Junta for all sorts of support, whether the sectors be military or civilian. A man who dared to change the name and flag of Zhongguo should deserve no aid. He lacks knowledge in nationalism, that communazi thinks that burning the Red Banner with Five Stars is a rewarding act of nationalism." Liu's voice built up.

"For many years we have been the true bastion of Chinese nationalism, Yeh's nationalist policies seem to mirror many of ours, are you offended?"

"Yes, lad, thank you for bringing us to my next point of discussion. Wishy-washy was how they describe former U.S. presidential incumbent, Kerry's campaigns, wishy-washy is what that quisling's propaganda and aims are. Their television services have labelled Southerners as 'stupid' and 'ignorant', while Yeh was born here and at the same time promoting to unite all Chinese under him. It is a disgrace that he can call himself the leader of China. When has that fool shown strong leadership? Not once, every time his military is in trouble he is lucky that his kin from south is always there for him. From what they call, a nation of people with tails, the Northerners, under this fool have made no progress technologically or militarily and have continuously leeched from the South for support. His rotten structure of a regime, during the days before Taiwan’s eventual reunification, carried out by the Military Junta, was the first to recognize Chen’s Taiwan as a country. We have never recognized ‘Xiaguo’ as a country. Many soldiers came from the North, and man died in the struggle for the territorial integrity of China. Yeh’s loose tongue betrayed our race.” Liu paused further realizing that his emotions were close to a crescendo.

“Yeh and his cronies have falsely captured the minds of our Chinese brothers in the North in a bid to fight for his ideals of communism, not nationalism. We all know that communism is a global cancer. I had helped China to fight off this cancer, but as we have just emerged from chemotherapy, new cancer cells have replicated, in the new engagement against this disease, we shall finish what we have started!” His hands began moving instinctively as he spoke like Hitler at Nuremberg.

“So you’re saying that Yeh is only hungry for the control of China under his communist regime, trying to threaten and appeal to those in the South at the same time?”

“Precisely! Yeh have no originality, he has managed to copy from both Mao and us for the sake of his own ambitions. Last week, when the existence of suicide units was announced, that mindless fool simply copies our policy. The more he jerks China around, the more he shall realize that as a race, we are all against this traitor! Power belongs to those who are truly capable of wielding it. I can see his support declining as we speak.” Liu was at a crescendo, his face frenzied with anger as his verbal assault came like waves of the ARSA advance.

“Young man, do you know what’s behind the recent series of melodrama by the Northern armies? We did what was pioneering and necessary in the pursuit to destroy communists in China, starting with a few rural cells and the erasing of Igovian subhumans trying to gain a toehold in our beloved nation. We work towards progress and security for our future generations, but the communist dogs in Beijing dare to prevent us from doing so. We are on the path of progress, boy. The evil regime that calls itself the true form of Chinese nationalism have shown their true colors as nothing more than a bunch of communist puppets, commanded by Mao from beyond the grave. People with Chinese blood in their veins unite! The hunt for the communist vermin has been reopened!” Liu concluded finally, many members of his Youth Corps and ‘Army of Liu’* across China would have stood up and applauded just like at any other rally.

“Thank you for allowing us to interview, we know that your schedules are very hectic.” The interviewer thanked his leader, stood up and saluted.

“Always my pleasure, when certain issues must to resolved through explanation. It is always my pleasure to be with my fellow Chinese at times of swell and sour.” Liu replied, returning the salute.

*If Liu is China’s Hitler, then the ‘Army of Liu’ would be his SS. Numbering into more than 100,000, the best of the best and most loyal of the ARSCF have all sworn an oath of personal loyalty to the Supreme Commander. Selection into the Army of Liu is every bid as tough as selection into the SS, only without all that racial gobbledegook. The Army of Liu’s first priority is to carry out the Supreme Commander’s aims and perform security missions. Its units fly a traditional Chinese general’s flag, with the golden traditional character of ‘Liu’ on a black background, surrounded by teeth frills. His personal army was answerable only to him.

===================================

The One that Got Away:

Later that evening, Liu returned to the rifle range. His favorite type of night shooting was the striking of lit incense in the complete darkness of an indoor range. Years ago, he had great difficulty taking out that little spark from 30m away with a 9mm. Now he has no trouble and had increased the range to 40m, stretching the limits of both vision and barrel. It had to be a knock out shot, breaking the stick and causing the flame to be snuffed was not the objective.

After that interview, he had been rather melancholic and contemplative. He had been listening to Barber’s Adagio for Strings (http://jnjmuse.cnei.or.kr/musicbox/baber_adagio_for_string.mp3) repeatedly for almost twenty times. Why didn’t I take out that sonofabitch? His mind drifted back to 2008 as he watched the lights reflectively, it was probably the only time he had shown mercy to the enemy…

Several months being a captain and things were great in Taiwan until a short reassignment back to his home province of Guangdong. It was during the winter, when a group of underground democracy activists have taken up arms in a village outside Taishan. The dreaming bastards took hold of the local police station and garrison in a bid to stir up a peasant uprising. Irony for the CCP at the time, even more so for him. Partly, he blamed those fat cat corrupters who ran the nation like some burger joint, but democracy was the greater evil. Its aims were to weaken China from within, as the civil war raged on unabated.

They moved up the village, the guards were shot quickly as they knew nothing about night watch, at dusk. Not even the disadvantage of having the orange setting sun behind them made a difference. They made their way stealthily across the county government building where the rebels used as HQ. The shooting was hell of a hoot as the enemy had more balls than skills. The victors advanced despite the absence of heavy machineguns and explosive munitions. Liu had the pleasure of sniping off all the .50 cal. Gunners posted on every one of the building’s corners. It was simpler than basic training.

While the party continued inside the building, he moved to the rear, to secure a potential egress to be used by the hostiles. The sniper was indeed the eagle on land. Guards were shot mercilessly as he picked all four off in a matter of seconds. One fell and another next to the deceased looked up, still checking which way the gunshot came from, looking down to see a dead man. They all died pathetically one after another as Liu’s aim never wavered.

He moved down, minutes later, reaching the scene. It was as lifeless as the men he killed. The eerie silence of death lingered as the sudden cease of rifle bursts from inside concluded the rebellion. That was until he heard the start up of a jeep’s engine. The tires screeched on the concrete, a station wagon with tinted windows roared into life as it made an escapade firstly by taking off behind his back and secondly, ramming the loosely locked rear gate. Liu was confident, that his rifle is enough to disable the car. He looked through the scope, into the car’s tires. Finger pulling the trigger gently, doing what he was born to do. CLICK. CLICK. The goddamn rifle was out off rounds! Eight shots was all he had in the mag. and eight shots was how much he had fired. A Type 88’s mag. is suppose to hold ten, but to prevent jamming, snipers carry eight. He quickly moved to change by the time his hand was unbuttoning a compartment on his webbing, that car had disappeared from sight. They were the ones that got away.

Looking back on that day, Liu could never forget the momentary shame. One shot, one kill; his aim was perfect but the clip was empty. For the passengers (he could not tell if there were any), had they lived on, it would have been fateful. None of them would have recognized him; his face was unremarkably covered in camouflage paint. Suddenly, a radical idea popped into his mind, could Yeh have been one of those that got away?

Daming AFB, Border (near Hefei, Anhui):

Beethoven’s Fur Elise (http://miaw.tcom.ou.edu/~foerama/elise.mp3) was playing in the stereo, Wang Xiao Peng pretended to be lulled to sleep by this habit. At 2300 hours, he was the only man awake in the senior officers’ barracks.

Maj. Gen. Wang Xiao Peng slammed his fist in anger. More of that Nazi crap coming from the mouth of a man he takes orders from, or at least he used to. Wang was born in Shenyang but had grew up in Guangdong, parents being migrant workers. On the mean streets and dark alleys of Shenzhen’s slums, the eyesores of human inhabitation created by the dread of rapid capitalism. Wang hid his feeling from Liu, knowing that communism in the ranks of the ARSCF can result in a one way ticket to the underworld. The two men met infrequently, each knowing little of the other’s past. To Wang, Liu’s an arrogant punk who daydreams about being the next Hitler.

Wang’s youth was spent toughing it out as a little gangster, if he had ever stayed at school. When Liu was honing his marksmanship as a deer hunter and studied for a future career, Wang threw punches for his gang and experimented with drugs (although he never became an addict). His arrests and an unforgettable period in juvie convinced his folks that their only son needs to join the military to be straightened out. They had given him too much freedom, as they worked in backbreaking construction. Wang’s peacetime records in the PLA mirrored his youth, minor offences ranged from disrespecting officers to paying no attention at lectures. He was the sort of men that concentrated the lack of concentration. Born nihilistic, Wang’s intentions were purely for his beliefs in personal freedom, anarcho-liberalism and the goddamn feeling of having no police watching you for the rest of you life! There is no freedom in Sino, if only this godforsaken land is ruled under Beijing, like the old times. To the socialist Wang, Liu’s nothing more than a new emperor, bitching the people like they were his little playthings. Because Liu is not a father, everyone is beaten by him like a father beating his son.

Wang’s rise in the ranks of the PLA’s Airborne Corps came as he risked his life time after time in daring raids, Nanhai, Tianan, Kaohsiung, plus many more, he’s been there, done that, shagged the local whores, hogged the limelight. His position as a senior tactician for the ARSA’s 34th Airborne Division, in Daming why he is here. As an officer, Wang’s relationships with his first and last wife crashed in months. The destructive lifestyle of the ‘rock star general’ (an insult by his subordinates and critics) meant that boozing and whoring (underground) rumours circulated quicker than the Military Junta’s next announcement of who’s going to face execution this weekend. He’s no role model to the moralists in the Den, but they haven’t got to investigating and trashing him, yet. His time is ticking, for his own sake, for the sake of his lifestyle, freedom and beliefs, he must defect to Beijing, bringing with him some 5000 airbornes and others, men that are just as fond of kicking Liu squarely in the ass as he is. Over the years, as Xiaguo emerges as an idealistic, communist power of China, his underground following clumped to the thousands, five thousand to be more precise. His position as the base’s vice commander meant that his work is rarely questioned and records never looked at closely. Chinese corruption in the system was on his side, fighting for his cause. Sooner or later, he’ll be pushed to do what’s necessary. Soon, he shall defect to the North along with his men.

Wang signed quickly, ordering the base to undergo lockdown after presenting some bogus intelligence detailing plans of a possible terrorist attack. Daming was special, being on the border, it was unusual for an airborne garrison to have extensive levels of air defense. In fact, so much that Daming can only be taken via land and that won’t be easy, given the fact that airbornes are some of Sino’s toughest and best equipped. By the time that irrational Liu’s forces overrun that camp (which he estimates to take at least a week), over 50 Boeing 737s would have ferried some 5000 men and supplies to Xiaguo. His defection would be a serious boost to his cause. Yeh Zhao Feng, an educated but leftist man is the answer to all of China’s problems and the hope of a continuation of his personal pleasures. His previous personal communiqué with Yeh had mentioned that now’s the time to call. He sat next to the telephone, hand on the receiver, waiting to answer that desperate call. It was a satellite phone registered in some Third World country with no affiliation to either party, rendering the calls virtually untraceable. Any time now, Yeh would call and the former thug will bow to his true master. At 2320 hours, the call is long overdue.

The Northern Chinese Millitary Branches, which were each of their seperate groups are united with the Imperial Armed forces. The Amries now are under one government and its organs attached with each other.

The Renamed Millitary branches has also benefited from a more unfied milltary budget which had expanded by allowing the Imperial Funds to be used as part of the millitary budget. The Yeh-Lin Proposals was passed a few months back, and had sucessfully unified the armed forces and the budget of the branches, and had also allowed the heavy funding for research and development which includes developing weapons and equiptment. The large funds within the Xiannese treasury mainly based on the free trade and powerful bussinesses now sprawling through China.

The Imperial Chinese forces and the National Armed Forces are now renamed due to the unification of the two major branches. The main points of the Unification-
1. Better Use of Millitary Funds
2. Better Communication
3. Better Mobilization
4. Faster Recruitment
5. Better use of millitary bases, and naval ports

The Military Junta dismisses the claims that Sinoese troops are en massing along the Administrative Divide as another example of communist-induced paranoia. While calling the South as "stupid" and "ignorant", the North seems to have abandoned all logic what so ever.

To heighten the economic strain on the market communists, businesses that have actively links with Yeh's regime have been exposed in a joint operation between COD (Covert Operations Department) and the Stapapol. Many of these corporations have are known to have fed the North with funds for their politics and military. Even private monetary transactions to the North have to be screened. The said businesses all have the lowest common denominator of covert Yehist backing. Those involved in the scandal have undergone house arrest and are likely to face charges. Subsidiaries and branches of the said companies in the South, which have long used out prosperous southern coastline and the island of Taiwan as hubs of entry, for foreign investments have had their administration stripped until further notice.

Taiwanese and Sinoese companies operating in the North are suggested to retreat, following the recent surge in communism. Sinoese companies are to be compensated by a quarter of their annual profits. Business have soured in the North as student protestors are known to vandalize Sinoese corporate properties in the name of communism.

"Losing profits today is better than working in a collective tomorrow."

- Slogan calling for Sinoese companies to leave the communist North

Such measures are painful, painstaking, and damaging to the economic performance of both sides, but the Military Junta's decisions are to guarantee minimum disruption and full survivability of capitalism in China, should any serious conflict erupt in Yeh's drunken rage.

Wang don't recall smoking up to an ounce of weed in the past 6 hours but time sure went by at a pace that was both too quick and too slow. Mid-f*cking-night and Yeh has yet to call! That weasel's probably as bullsh*t as Liu. Funny how the North seem to be on bloody steroids but they are in need of that extra needle. He was the perfect needle. The needle was feeling sleepy, not good if Gen. Liu pulls a surprise inspection tomorrow.

Developments in China continue to trouble the Hindustani government, but with Sino back on the map and locked in quite a cold war with Xiaguo, the threat to Nepal begins to look smaller and smaller.

Rebuilding operations go smoothly, and hopefully Nepalese citizens will soon be able to enjoy a much better standard of living. However, the war in Nepal ate out a large chunk of the Hindustani army, and it is considered important for the HDF to avoid large-scale commitments for the time being. However, being a primarily defensive military with severely limited force projection capabilities, large-scale usually means approaching 10,000 troops.

The government is mostly worried that the cold war in China will soon turn into an all-out war, possibly involving a dreaded nuclear exchange. The prospect of huge clouds of radioactive particles wafting over Russia, Central Asia, India, and Southwest Asia is not a very attractive one. And if there's one thing we can learn from Chernobyl, its that radioactive particles can travel a long way.

Contrary to Beijing's claims of a candy-coated democracy, cracks in the pupa have shown the final stages of Yeh's metamorphisis as a bloodthirsty dictator, who's rise to power is similar to that of Hitler; dismissing then destroying the Reichstag.

The Hindustani government should recognize only one China, just like many previous and present governments in the world. True China lies with true nationalism, true nationalism being led by the Military Junta representing the Chinese race. Should Hindustan dare to aid the rebels enthroned in Beijing, radiation will be on the menu for those in Hindustan. This is none of Hindustan's concerns and the tricks of humanitarian efforts disguising land grabs are guaranteed methods of failure.

Yeh, the mastermind of the Chinese government has taken control of the reigns along side with Prime Minister Lin De Wei, Zhou Jin Zao.

The "mastermind" with the brains of a pig, is leader of the troika of trouble (Yeh, Lin & Zhou). Beijing has presented to the people of China a Stalinist (Yeh) and a Hitler clone (Lin). Instead of blaming the troubles in China on a lack of nationalism and the absence of any strong leadership in the North, the troika of trouble turn their fury on capitalists, Jews and the role model Chinese Military Junta. Communists solve problems by blaming others then organize purges to elevate their positions of power.

Apparently the Sinoese government forgets the fact that, while China was never entirely occupied by imperial powers, India, Hindustan included and Hindustan especially, was under British rule for a century. Perhaps this would have shown Indians that imperialism would only cause suffering and pain for the people imperial...istified? And perhaps Sino forgets the fact that upwards of 15,000 Hindustani soldiers and pilots lost their lives keeping Nepal out of the hands of the Xiannese? There is no love lost between Hindustan and either of the Chinas.

A nuclear strike on Hindustan would not be a good idea, or at least would not have even the tiniest thread of a plausible motive, considering that the military can barely afford a new navy vessel over 3,000 tons, much less a nuclear warhead. So, in short, the government tells the Junta to stop being so mean, and also tells the Junta that Hindustan does not casually threaten Chinese citizens with imminent nuclear annihilation.

But as China moves further to the periphery of things that Hindustan cares much about, Hindustanis do things they would rather be doing, like listen to Ska music. Perhaps the biggest event that most Hindustanis will be thinking of in the near future is the Skatalites' Hindustan tour, hitting Diu, Vadodara, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Jamshedpur, and finally Calcutta. The final concert in Calcutta will feature many popular Hindustani bands, most of them either Funk, Reggae, or Ska in style. There are even rumors of a surprise appearance by Ravi Shankar. The concert, which will benefit the purchase of AIDS and anti-malarial drugs for poorer nations, will be broadcast on the radio and on television, and will, with any luck, match David Byrne's visit to Mumbai in popularity.

All f*cking 50 of 'em to the North. We'll include at least 75% of the 34th Airbornes, counting to 5034 men. We have 53 737s here. On a day of clear weather. I will publically announce defection, first planes fly to your furtherest bases up north, then followed by the later ones to bases closer to your border. As a demonstration of the 34th Division's loyalty and discipline, I can guaran-f*ckin'-tee you that they will all touch the ground within 3 minutes of each other. You keep that trap shut and keep your ears open! This sh*t's too important." Wang realized that Yeh may not be able to keep up with his outburst of information.

"I don't normally say these things twice, especially in this part of China! The Air Force here is so f*cking f*cked in the head that, because they trust us, we have the plans of a new fighter design right here. The plans, reviewed by my trusted technicians, are so complete that assembly, with just some of the components carried to you on that day, is enough to assemble new fighters capable of matching their J-12As. Liu's cronies are desperate to build more advanced stealth fighters that their plans include stripping up to 50% of the components of the J-10 for 'upgrades'. Have your scientists and technicians ready on the run way. It'll be a special day for the real Chinese Air Force! Most importantly, my 5000 or so Airbornes are gonna arrive across the North to start training up you troops, when they day comes, I am proud to be one of the first to storm the Maggot's Lair. I'm so gonna rip out Liu's eyes and shove 'em up his ass, so that he can watch me kick the sh*t out off him! Every dynasty in China is brought down from within, I'm proud to take my place amongst the heroes of our history." Wang was as excited as some horny nympho on crack cocaine. "As an insider, I'm pissing myself with laughter right now because across the border, Liu's build up is one tenth the strength and readiness of your forces. Once again, the Rebel Beijing have proven themselves to be separatists by threatening to grant independence to Uighurs. Many Chinese, under either administration who watched in anger as Daylam tried to incorporate that part into her empire, followed by the intense war of retaliation led by Sino, which costed many Han (from all parts of China) and Uighur lives. We had fought hard for our Xinjiang, but separatists such as Yeh is not only unwilling to face up to a united China, but have expressed genuine interests in the destruction of China. Yeh's actions are not to be tolerated nor forgiven. Our lands will not be cut away like a circumcision.

Vocal support for the exit of all communist forces and administration from Xinjiang had begun intensive, firstly in the Sinoese held areas, followed by some pockets of communist control. All over the Military Junta's administration, people have been angered by Yeh's decision to destroy China, starting with the want of butchering Xinjiang from China. Many Chinese lives were lost in the war to save Xinjiang from foreign aggressors, Yeh is simply disregarding this huge loss of life for mere pleasure. Such ignorance and betrayal is a crime in the eyes of Zhongguo!

Due to the poor tactics employed by Yeh and his nepotist generals, the majority of Chinese casualties had been those under their command. This sad fact, combined with the cold heart of Yeh's calls for Uighur independence, shows the true nature of Yeh's so called 'nationalism'. To the family and friends of those who gave their lives in the struggle for a united China, what does Beijing's new Mao and the Troika of Trouble have to say?

Lin had announced he would cut millitary spending to increase funding for schools.

Schools, under the new government, had allowed free education from 3rd grade to 12 grade. However, several taxations sprang up, including taxation on cars and property. The government, now painted socialist may incorporate this sucessful move to healthcare. Small taxes can provide free health care, larger welfare benefits, education, better millitary, and can fund government projects at the benefit of the people. The more leniet approach on economic policies has been welcome by many, however, with another half against it. However, the policies changed in time, and by now had worked and has built a strong economy with North China's neighbors, which the Beijing government had kept peaceful contact with.

In truth however, cutting funding for the millitary is a very big risk, and such cuts may very well be defeated in the parliament. The Parliament has just begun discussing whether to add Sino to the Threat list. Sinoese forces across the border can be seen just as strong in spirit.

Of course Yeh have no ethics in this world. He lives in a fantasy land of communist bliss while his people look towards strong leadership for unification. During the Taiwan War, what has Yeh done besides protesting like a newly castrated eunuch trainee?

Calling the defenders of China as aggressors, since when has the mouse learned to mimic a lion's roar? The Rebel Beijing's plans to grant independence to Xinjiang is the ultimate reason why communists do not get along with Muslims and patriotic Hans alike. In the War Against Daylam, North China sat in trench, waiting for any South China's troops for relief, as they are pounded from the air. North China believe that scrapheap pieces like the JH-7 can challenge the F/A-22. North China have failed to prove themselves worthy of administering Xinjiang. The South have actually managed to help the Uighurs and locals getting back on track after such human tragedies, with industrial growth and skyscraper agriculture while the North forces all those that they can point the gun at to watch propaganda films.Slaughtering Uighurs in retreat and blame such gruesome killing on the Sinoese, that is truly a great plan by Lin, the anti-Semite. Lin calls himself a general, simply because he likes the feel of wearing khaki. By "using any means possible to secure Xinjiang", does that mean sending another four or five million young men into their deaths?

Is Yeh a great leader? One of the leader's responsibilities is securing the territorial integrity of China. Has Yeh done that? In terms of education, what has Yeh done besides copying the policies of the South? As for welfare, getting single mothers into prostitution is by no means lsashing the unemployment rate. Neither is an act of welfare distributing horse dung for baby food. No Chinese person believe that the North actually have a tax rate, considering that practically all personal income are taken. (OOC: Yeah right! Your tax hikes have virtually destroyed all business. And you call yourself a capitalist.)

A great leader is someone who can keep the country in a powerful position in all areas of national strength. Education is a serious factor of national strength, but welfare dependency only attempts to corrupt the hardworking ethics of the Chinese race. Yeh is truly a traitor. Flourishing under a peaceful government? Has the North done that. We have all heard of the great human tragedies of their civil wars, arose from issues of stupidity such as raising an invalid royal family. By 'raising the quality of life', the communist bring all those who are rich down to the level of poverty then feed them propaganda and saying life is great.

What does Yeh know about the human psyche, besides delievery empty promises. Psychological warfare, Yeh would be scared to death if his whore doesn't leave the on when they sleep. The psycholigical/brainwashing methods employed show no progression from the days of Mao. Yeh likes to make speeches, but who dare to correct by telling him that he needs to think before he opens his mouth. The Rebel Beijing have yet to prove themselves to be useful towards the future of China's survival. Communism is the enemy from within. Indeed their are two great weapons, combining them and nationalism is fostered, Yeh's actions and plans have undermined both.

OOC:Your turn on Wang. I still don't get it, many of the things I aid were not publicized, yet you still kinda, get onto the issue. And besides, like I said again,

"How can anyone stand under the treacherous Sinoese government? The intolerable government is only bias and cannot understand the idea of, 'working together'. The only time, propbably, they work together is while having sex taking turns calling on the name of Liu, their beloved leader. Or taking a shit, while reciting Liu's daily speeches.

Welfare, a poison of the Chinese? I say Liu is the bucket of filth left on the road after some lazy jackass. Veterans deserve equal health care benefits. It can't be like Liu's damn fantasy of soldiers hanging out at the bar, or stabbing enemies as a way of life. Who is to take care of the elderly? Liu can send the elderly to boot camps working as cooks, but I rather them stay home and enjoy the benefits they deserved by working throughout their life.

All I hear from Liu's constant bullsh**ing is how a strong leader should be. I am respect the people of the South very much. They are fighting their enemy within." shouted Lin in response to Sinoese articles in Qinghai.

Beddgelens, largely disgusted with the Sinoese junta after its murderous purges against Beddgelens and others in China, more or less all agree that Liu's unnatural fixation upon the concepts of power and leadership stem from his own deep-seated fear that his familiar, easy way of life is coming to an end. The people are winning and, as has already happened in Beth Gellert, they shall one day soon be free of such condescending saviours as he.

One consul, speaking at the Tamil Nadu Regional Senate, said, "...the Chinese people are not babies in need of protection- in Xiaguo and Taiwan we do not see nearly so much socially crippling militancy as in Sino, and yet both of these Chinese nations continue to survive, even in the face of conflict and external criticism. Why are the southern Chinese less able? Liu's constant ravings on strength and unity are fueled by the concealed fact of his regime's weakness, otherwise none of this would be required. The Chinese people will see that the north's steady steps into progress do not lead the Xiannese to their doom or erode Chinese identity, China will be China until people stop making maps."

"Sino is a country, with an ignorant government. Negotiation is non-existant, and they are only to whine about anything they find that does not favor their current attitude or status." quoted Yeh, walking out from the Wuhan Airspace Headquarters.

Soon, Wang thought, just soon. Wang brushed his hair before standing next to the corpse of Daming's base commander, who he shot and killed minutes before. He checked his watch, Liu is scheduled to land in Moscow in twenty minutes.

"We're due live in three, two ONE!" The head cameraman shouted, indicating action.

"Greeting China. I, Maj. Gen. Wang Xiao Peng, commander of the 34th Airborne Division stationed at Daming, near Hefei declares that myself, along with my brave division of open-minded servicemen shall defect to the Beijing Regime. They are the true leaders of China. If Gen. Liu truly cares for us all, would he have left?" Wang spoke in a very statesman-like manner, dressed in a set of urban warfare gray BDUs of the Airbornes. The camera amateurishly shifted to the bloody corpse lying dead beside him. They had hacked into selected broadcasting satellites of the province, Wang is now the only man on television for most of Anhui.

==========================================================

"Punch it up to main screen!" Gen. Bao Zheng, MR commander looked on with complete shock on his face. There is a rat's nest inside his ranks. Why would someone so loyal in the Military Junta dare to betray their country. This is a living nightmare.

No specific action was given, but every order was followed. The 55th Armored Infantry Division and the 43rd Armor Brigades rolled out from nearby bases, attempting to subdue this serious uprising before it becomes too late.

==========================================================

"People of all ages, I urge you. Do not attempt to resist the repressive Military Junta openly. Two lives saved in intelligence gathering and underground propaganda is better than being shot and killed for trying to chop a Liuman with a butcher knife." Wang ranted on, his speech was drowned out in a matter of minutes by distant artillery fire. War had begun.

Groups of airbornes waited in semi-sheltered area, they will soon be decided by their commanders to either fight the incoming enemies or continue boarding, as orders were given, the drowning noise of two 737s taking off, filled the air, they are the first of many.

Few artilleries were available to the defenders of Daming, butround after round they were fired at mobile SAM units to save the many aircraft that are destined for the Northern bases. The first two that took off, flew slowly for Xiaguo's northernmost airbases. They obey Wang's orders of all planes landing at the same time.

No specific order was given, so the Xiannese just sat and waited for the coming planes. Following Yeh's order, to only do what they tell you to do, all bases had a group to wait out at the comman center, whom are to stay up 24 hours in case an urgent command is to recieved.

-Nanjing-
The first two planes have sucessfully landed in the Nanjing Airbase 1. With the first one on ground, the plane was hauled to a strip of road, then saluting the Sinoese, they halued them off rather quickly. And then sent the plane to a hangar. Another followed, with other planes beginning to land in different airbases, including Wuhan, which is now sending the Sinoese North into smaller strips.

The news of the battles in the south had reached the headquarters of Nanjing at the same hour. Afraid that enemies will attack the planes directly, the Nanjing Area airforce division is ready to help out. A request of command was sent to Daming. The Xiannese were ordered not to attack Sino directly.

See how they have been washed up?" commented Yeh, during the release of the video in the high command.

One of the things Yeh expected was refugees. Xiaguo was large enough for refugees to move about in Xiaguo alone. However, in Sino, about half the size and no place to go may come across the border. Surprisingly enough, Wang's video was viewed by few as it was during the weekday working hours. The retired and ill (who bothered to choose television over some exercise for fresh air) cared little as nothing can be done. Some saw the downfall of Liu as eventual.

Guangzhou Broadcasted University:

Of the many universities across China, some had only tutors anf few lecturers as lectures and lessons were given via scheduled broadcasts. Debate still rages on over the legality and actual educational value of these lowkey and little known facilities for those who could not afford or were not good enough to attend a proper university, but they receive the same programs at the same time. All they had to do is attend classes and learn from the man or woman in Mr. Television. "China Uber Alles!" (China above everything!) a lecturer teaching the German language through broadcast began the lesson with one of his favorite nationalist slogans translated to German. Todays lessons were shortlived because of Wang's meddling of some satellites.

Border:

Uniformly and instinctively, the way of the ARSCF is all about discipline. From the highlands of Tibet, stretching to the arid wastes of Xinjiang, or across the mountains and 'border' towns of central China, all units present were armed and fully prepared in defensive formations and stances.

SSNN had been broadcasting utter bullsh*t about how the ARSCF was frail and lacked motivation in case of a war with the Rebel Beijing, but SSNN was deliberately wrong. What was not seen was the total readiness of South in the coming war for the unification of China. There is no doubt from privates to generals over who will fire the first shots, but they are guaranteed to come from the North. Just the haul of artillery and air defenses is enough to take out every single man, woman and child from the North, should they be foolish enough to send all their people into the meat grinders.

Tanks rolled along IFVs and under the cover of WZ-10s, fighters took to the air and came dangerously close to Northern air defenses. War has yet to be declared, but that shall come in a matter of days.

Every trick in the book, they know, every strength of the enemy they shall weaken. Those of the Military Junta only live for their beloved nation, and the separatists have threatened its continued survival. 4 million ARSCF men in active service and ready to fight, the smell of gunpowder, mixed with the stench of blood and the reek of burning wreckage shall be the flavor of China.

An order was given to ground all flights. A curfew has been set. The Northern Troops, now at the borders for well over a month have barely finished basic training, which includes most of the Northern troops. The Kingdom of Sichuan had prepared for mass evacuations throughout the coming months. The government has finally showed their true colors. Xiaguo rather stay away from the Sinoese if possible. The Northern Populous were both terrified of the SInoese, but would fight to the death.

Families began moving North, where the safer, and more fortified cities were located. The Sinoese Army was seen as cruel soldiers, some comparing them to the Imperial Japanese during World War II. "All who are to meet the Sinoese are guranteed death" shouted a young man at a town meeting, before securing his house with locks now gathering with the town dwelling people, now preparing to leave for Beijing.

The Xiannese government, in truth, does not wish a war with Sino, and had blamed Sinoese aggression and false accusations.

A well built army of 3.7 million heavily armed with a mix of foreign built and Chinese built weapons and equiptment will prepare for a defense of the North. The millitary numbers are expected to rise after more trainees will finish their 1.5 month training.

The government has warned that if war will begin, it will be the Sinoese to start. However, in truth, the government is actually quite positive in a full scale war with Sino, newer weapons, a fortified Northern China. A National Aerial Defensive Network. And a completely rebuilt navy, one of the largest in Asia.

Decree by the Chinese Miltiary Junta:

The Chinese Military Junta officially decrees that weapons of mass destruction and the deliberate attack on civilians and civilian targets will not be allowed nor tolerate, should a Chinese civil war erupt. Contrary to the Rebel Beijing's propaganda portrayals of Chinese troops fighting for China's unification and territorial integrity as nothing more than WWII Japanese soldiers in Chinese skin, not a single act of war crime have been documented in at least ten years since the ARSCF's founding.

The definition of civilian however, changes when the said person takes up arms or engages in active combat. The Chinese troops hate killing those of their blood, but those who do not learn from history are forced to repeat it. It is regrettable that the Rebel Beijing brings forth this great disaster for the Chinese race, but if war is the only option for reunification then the arsenal doors shall remain fully open.

Sino offers a military alliance with Russia once China has been fully reunified to prevent the resurgence of communism in the world. Sino may be strict but fascism is not be a synonym for a regime of militant nationalism supporting a free market economy.

The China Fighter, or China, Zhongguo III is based on new copies of several foreign planes bought and ripped from the system. The plane was developed in secret with large sums of money funding the building and engineering of this and several other planes.

It's equipped with ranging radar and carries two torpedos or two YJ-8 sea-skimming ASMs. It is also equipted with ALR-1 laser range designator to better target and lock down enemies. The plane is powered by a Russian RD-93 turbofan with up to 85% as capable as the F-16. A locally designed JL radar from CASA techonology systems are also installed in several testing planes. This plan is in mass assembly and is the primary fighter jet of Northern China.

According to trasmissions by radio, the ARSA still have trouble breaching the defenses of Daming. A few adventurous foot soldiers have managed to occupy the one of the control towers, but as all planes are in the air now, their aims are useless.

Seeing firstly runways, then fighters, as arranged, all 737s passed low towards the runways and fighter hangars, before unleashing their devastating true potentials. As with Chinese discipline, all were suppose to land within five minutes of each other, but instead all 50 or so of them detonate within that short range of time. All were pretending to land within their ideal targets. Sometimes one plane followed another, increasing the coverage of the blasts. The Chinese have pulled off the greatest conventional bombing in the history of Man.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/images/moab-test-030311-02-s.jpghttp://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/images/moab-test-030311-08-s.jpghttp://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/images/moab-test-030311-12-s.jpg

Who would be stupid enough to defect to the commies? They were 737s modified to be oversized, suicide MOABs (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/moab.htm), modified many months before, but few had expected them to take part in this historic moment. With the sheer size available for almost nothing but ordnance, the blast radius neared one kilometer, wiping out everything, including concrete and steel bunkers. 50 or so men from the Chinese Suicide Attack Corps became instant martyrs for the stuggle for a unified Zhongguo.

As for that broadcast to the people, it was bogus. Filmed secretly in a ROCAF base, somewhere in Taiwan, at least two weeks before, with the delightful courtesy of ROCAF Gen. Zhang Fu Guo himself. All close action (seen on base) were special effects. To fool even the spy satellites, real forces were used on the day, but with pyrotechnics, similar to those used in an exercise. Real structures that faced destruction were actually empty. The broadcast had to be heavily editted beforehand, so that each plane in the boradcast was timed to the real one taking off. To prevent detection, Daming made the film's broadcasts on location and on the day. The real Wang was also involved in the filming in Taiwan, but he's probably still there at Daming, along with the base commander that he had 'killed'. If the Chinese ways could fool Bonstock, undoubtedly it worked for the communists also.

OOC:

Defensive stance, you allowed them to land, making them too close for any defensive measures to be taken in time. Just setting off the tracking devices on SAMs, when they are enough to landing, will cause self destruction. As for AAMGs, the 737s have been modifiied with sufficient armor fitted inside. That may be minimal, but just enough protection for setting off the detonators.

You have allowed all 50 or so of them to defect, meaning that they must be at some base, some where. We know all your bases, just as any military should.

All your fighters in the air on patrols? Is that really economically feasible? Just your radar system would be on overhaul, unless your fighter force is just 100 planes.

Rape of Nanjing? If the case for military upgrades being so f*cking sensitive, would you be stupid enough to allow such a top secret flight to land at some sh*tty civilian airport? Don't try to wank the events for your pleasure. You said "Nanjing", but to our military minds, we take it as the name of some airbase. Are you stupid enough to mix military and civilian air needs?

These attacks were carried out on the military, NOT civilians, so you'll can't call them terrorist attacks, after all, were Kamikazes terrorists? If we're so gung ho over the whole unification of China thing, would we kill our own people? Because you've been pwned, you just like to make up some other f*cked up event to relabel the victors.

SAMs will have no trouble in dealing with Xiannese fighters or bombers. New weapons systems and munitions have been tested to be particularly effective against human wave attacks.

[OOC: Sino, you had a brilliant plan. Good for you. But just because you were too busy getting off on it to actually read Xiaguo's posts doesn't mean you get to throw a tantrum when it doesnt go exactly go your way.

1) You have fifty planes. You know the location of Xiannese airbases. Ok. But Xiaguo directed the defectors to land at certain bases, not to fly out and land at fifty different ones of their choosing. If you deviated from expected course, then the already-suspicious Xiannese would certainly have reacted... I believe that Xiaguo's last post attempted to explain that the bases to which defectors were sent had launched their fighters as a security measure, and intercept of a rogue 747 would occur well before deviating units hit target range.

2) I dont recall Xiaguo ever stating that they were keeping the defection secret. In fact, it would be a major propaganda coup to publicize the defection of 5000 elite airborne from South to North. The only group they might not want to know is Sino, and as the reports of an attack on the defector base meant the Armed Republic was already aware, I dont see why any effort would be made to hide it. In fact, a Nanjing landing presents innumerable photo-ops, and solves the problem of finding another free runway of proper length to accomodate 747 operations.]

OOC 1: Let's see what our resident military expert (_Tawian) has to say.

OOC 2: If these planes are defectors? Would they fly to some civilian airport with their sensitive information? Xaiguo's wanking the events by saying that they blew up the Nanjing Airport. If Sino's is so gung ho over the unification of all Chinese people, why would they deliberately kill the innocent ones of their own kin? Xiaguo's impatient and thirsting for blood.

OOC 3: I've got an assignment that's my current priority so further military action may have to wait.

My thoughts (in a completely neutral perspective) :

Sino originally flew 737s which are obviously a smaller than 747s. I'm not sure of runway requirements for 737s, but I believe they can land in some domestic airports.

Mixing civilian and military airport space seems unusual. If this is the case, Lin is probably guilty of allowing a security risk to enter a city (since he was suspicious originally)

Another fact is, Xiaguo could have for instance, directed the 50 aircraft to 10 or 11 different airbases. But of course, a MOAB scaled up to the size of a 737 would wipe have an enormous blast radius and really won't need to manuvere. Just flying over the landing strip preparing to land would probably do.

So in conclusion, Xiannese losses seem reasonable, but the civilian losses look a bit too high.

It was more like, keep everybody away from the landing strip while the government uses it as a temporary landing strip.

And Yeh was the one suspiscious. He only gave orders to 'be alert' take all the aircraft off, and patrol. The orignal plan was to have the Sinooese land at many different bases before being reunited.

Wouldn't having 10 of these explode, 10X 2 minutes, 20 minutes enough to even allow the government to direct its orders on destroying the 747's?

Now it'll be hell trying to land the planes in the sky...

I did not say I had them all off, but the substantial amount of airforce IS NOT located in the Sinoese-Xiannese border and is actually located in Coastal and Northern Cities with the exception of Sichuan and Mongolia. Even if you had destroyed all the planes, that would only do best 25%.

A 'substantial' number of them are in the sky in a request to 'escort the defectors' I believe I have posted this earlier before.

Hundreds die in Nanjing, with an overall estimate of 14,000 throughout Xiaguo.

The governemnt had rushed millitary aid directly to the bases and airstrips, now ruins. The Nanjing International Airport, which was reserved for 3-4 Sinoese planes due to the unavailable air bases, which are expected to host 1-2 of these planes. Unknowing civilians wandered into the airport preparing to board the only open planes, which was the International Station, which was expected to have less people that day. Most of the victims were Airport workers, Xiannese Millitary personel, and foreign nationals.

The airstrips can be easily repaired by fill, and road laying. However, the buildings may take longer, including the systems.

"NO! You can't pull Russia into such a foolish Chinese excursion!"

"Hi Mom!"

Arguments flew around the Senate chamber, as discussions over the rapidly growing China issue exploded into a frenzy. The Russian government wishes to avoid direct involvement, but already, offers are made of supplying the Xiannese with raw materials, and condemnations of Sino's unproviked attack ae flying.

OOC: I would like to reiterate that, Xiaguo only said "Nanjing", from the ears of a military man, we took it that it meant the local air force garrisson or something of the like. Xiaguo wants to wank the event to make a terrorist attack. Although the actual dialogue of discussion between Wang and Yeh was concised for posting, I am sure that military men in the right minds would not even think about the use of civilian facilities for such high profile defection.

The Military Junta urges the world to stay out off Chinese affairs this is a classic case of a legitimate government, taking out communist rebels. Sympathy for communist rebels is directly the result of sinophobia (fear of a strong China), by allowing a rebel victory, their communism would keep China weak, thus allowing for easy take over and exploitation of the Chinese race. The Chinese Military Junta stands firm on the issue of the One China Policy. Ein Volk! Ein Reich!

When China engages in open warfare with radical groups like the Taiwanese separatists, or in this case, the Northern separatists, is that an unprovoked attack? 'Xiaguo' is communist, would a newly capitalist Russia be reverting back to such foolish behavior? This is clearly a domestic issue amongst the Chinese, it is therefore beneficial to remain neutral.

OOC: By claiming a recovering economy, is war really such a good option?

It is an unprovoked attack, as the fact remains that Xiaguo is an independent, sovereign nation. We will not engage in war, and have only offered the Xiannese raw materials that they can purchase. If Sino wishes to buy them as well, they can, but Xiaguo will receive more favorable conditions as they are the victims of this incident.

The Northern Chinese had took the Russians' offer quickly and large amounts of lumber were shipped in to help repair buildings damaged by the attacks. A large quantity of them also went toward the rebuilding of Qingdao and Dalian.

The Xiannese government called Sino's excuse petty and aggresive. "This is very well like the 'Cowboy' behavior. We very well support a unified China, but not under the Sinoese Government with their inhuman unification process."said Yeh in the follow up of the Sinoese representation of the starting of the war.
