Michelle had enough of training and decided to explore the compound. She wanted to find the control room!

"Commander, Arkanis sector, Tatooine system is reporting heavy bogey activity!"

"What?" I whirled to the binary system on holodisplay. Sure enough, there's high power emissions over there, obviously denoting a battle. "What ship we have there?"

"VSD Vengeance. It's screaming for backup!"

"Where's our nearest ships to Tatooine?" I asked.

"ISD Top Cat Squadron." Would have been funny but for the situation.

"ETA?"

"6 minutes. Sir, Vengeance may not make it."

"I know..." Vengeance was badly damaged by the harrassing enemy fleet, and even a 6 minute's difference could change things. This was one of those times when a hard decision just had to be made. "Order it to retreat! Vector Top Cat Squadron to ascern scope of the enemy threat!"

"Yes, sir!"

"One more thing, get Admiral Thrawn on the line, stat!" I ordered again.

"Sir!"

I sighed heavily. A war is brewing on my hands. Now what happens next?

The Victory Star Destroyer was leaking air and radiation as it was pounded upon by the enemy fleet and returned spears of turbolaser fire in answer. TIEs struggled to fight the enemy swarms, sacrificing themselves to give time for Vengeance to escape into hyperspace. It's just not looking good for the ship!

Michelle heard voices up ahead and walked in. She was amazed what she found. She walked right into the control room.

"sir, the ship is attempting to escape."

"Good, tell the fourth fleet to fire the quantum based torpedos." Giovanni smiled as the screen showed the belegured craft finally snap in half from a single torpedo impact, them detonate violently. "Form the fleets up. Prepare for opening the next portal, we must set up a base."

"Excellent, sir. All 20 fleets are in positions now." Giovanni smiled as a massive vortex was formed, spilling out his base of operations. There was only room for one evil empire in a galaxy, and he intended to be operating it.


*Hyperlight home sector, Base 1*

Sir, next batch of ships coming through, wait, all the ships are coming through..."

"That's odd." Richardson stared out at the portal as the 5000 ships of his armada, 2000 of which were cargo ships, came through. "Hmm, shut the portal down then, and disassemble it."

"Aye, sir."

(OOC: my ships:

500 atlas class super-transports
1500 destiny transports type 12
15 Constitution B type 2 Battlecruisers/command cruisers
1320 Leapfrog type 4 destroyers
200 Constitution A light cruisers
700 Firebird type 3 Heavy Cruisers
50 Overlord class type 3 Battleships
75 Leviathan class carriers type 4
600 achellies class frigates.

Actually, the class scale is off because most of these ships were recently built, and the production has yet to correct the ship ratio.

Trust me, you've still got more to worry about in the black empire.)

OOC: all of this for being only 2 months old? Holy hell, my fleet could take you out very fast that is if I decided to drop in with it but that is only with CoreWorlds permission.

"Michelle." I barely acknowledged her, so intent on the battle unfolding in space thousands of lightyears away. The faraway cameras caught the enemy fleet on holo, complete with readings and sizes...

The loss of the Vengeance was a heavy blow, but I knew that we'd have more to go.

She looked around at chaos! "Must be a battle. Haven't seen this much activity outside of that." she said to really no one as she walks over and stands next to Daniel.

(OOC: This is something completely seprate from my nation-states nation. It's a now para-military operation over 400 years old now. Actually, they've been franticly building up their forces. It's not the number of their ships you have to worry about, but their arment. The reason why the black empire took that vsd down was cause they have heavier arment than ever before seen. Besides, the hyperlight armada isn't going to move until it's safe, or if they have to fight their mortal enemy, the black empire. Trust me, these ships have been around for a while, and in fact, are lower than in previous years due to a great war.... not a bit of god-moding.)

The Imperial Star Destroyer Top Cat and her escorts (3 other ISDs, various smaller ships) reentered realspace and immediately began scanning and shooting.

"This isn't right. Their energy readings are extremely high for ships of their size! Their battlecruisers are a match for a Star Destroyer alone!"

And there was an entire fleet of ships just as powerful as their Imperial counterparts...

We're in for a major fight, that's for sure...

"Are you ok, my dear?" Alex asked, coming up to her and ignoring the PredAlien.

"[Expletive] fine," Kira groaned. Up! Her head was still ringing, but the various safeties built into her clothing made sure this fall wouldn't kill her.

The PredAlien had been looking up at the sky. His excelent vision and force sensitivity helped him to monitor the entire battle.

"We may not be alone, young ones." he said, pointing into space. "Blood has been shed."

Young one? I'm 65 years old! Alex thought. "I have felt it too. It will come here soon, but how soon is what I don't know."

"Crush them beneath your ships, launch the fighters, and let loose the dogs of war..."

"Aye, sir. Opening up the cannons." The massive base's main guns turned to face the new threat, and opened fire. 2 of the isd's were simply peeled apart by the blasts, and another was snapped in half like a bad stick of celery. The vengance moved to stay out of the fight.

"Take out those frigates, I want them to see our power."

"Aye, sir..." A swarm of fighters over-ran the lancer frigates, obscuring them in a cloud of fire. When the discharges cleared, the had been broken into hundreds of pieces. "Ah, let that last big one go. They'll be rightly afraid of us soon enough."

*Hyperlight Republic Home Sector, Unknown Regions.*

"Sir, heavy comm traffic being intercepted. The local law enforcement just ran into the vengance and her fleet. And... their base station." Heads grimly turned at this.

"Prepare an expidition force, let us be ready for war... For it has found us, again."

(Sorry, but don't worry, Richardson will avenge you, in the course of his own vengance.)

Michelle was in the control staring at the battle that was unfolding. As she looked on she could see what the captains were seeing. Doesn't look good she thought as she stared at the sensor readouts. Not good at all

OOC: Watch it there. I write damage, not you. That's 2 strikes against you. one more time, and you're out.

The Star Destroyers were heavily damaged by the onslaught, and were forced to retreat. Two of them were destroyed before they could make it. The rest of the fleet was obliterated by the enemy, and only two ships escaped.

I realized that we're going to need a really large fleet to counter this. Maybe the fleet of the Imperium...

Michelle started to tear up as the battle was not going there way. "Now what Dan?" she asked.

"We're going to fight this threat, and defeat them." I said, determined.

The PredAlien had taken out a small com device, and held it in his palm, typing things into it. It hummed for a few minutes, and lit up.

"We have a friendly fleet inbound, along with an entire marine division to help us out. They will be here in five hours, not soon enough, I fear."

"Well Dan, the way they just handled that fleet of ships, your in for a tough fight. I don't think even the Corneliuan Navy could've done much better but then again, they do have an edge on technology."

"Huh?" Kira blinked, getting to her feet slowly. Her back ached, a lot. Better than broken, she decided. "What the hell are you two talking about?"

*Somewhere near corusant, The Kep Salu 2 and Vengance finally meet.*

"Sir, she's dead ahead."

"Good, engage, for all of our sakes." Richardson glowered as the red alert lights activated. The ship shook as a first shot was fired from the vengance.
"Return fire, main cannons."

"Aye, sir firing now." The lances of power shot out from the ship, making the vengance reel.

"Full evasive, stand by torpedos." The Salu 2 narrowly dodges a volley of torpedos, and other weapon fire, before returning fire with torpedos. The fight is cataclismic, with observers coming in to watch, some of them getting hit by stray fire, before the vengace finally retreats, and the Kep Salu 2 goes back to home for repairs.

"Huh?" Kira blinked, getting to her feet slowly. Her back ached, a lot. Better than broken, she decided. "What the hell are you two talking about?"
"A large hostile fleet is attacking the orbital units. I'm not sure who, but they won't last long when the cavalry arrives."

OOC: Now, make your way towards Wayland, Hyperflight...

"Ookay...so...who the hell are you?" Kira turned towards the stranger.

"Jedi Master Alex Masaki, Daniel's grandfather. Pleased to meet you, young alchemist." Alex said.

(Nope, they ain't stupid, but expect corusaunt to possibly fall. It's life...*

OOC: Problem is Corusaunt is already under assualt by Thrawn, Vader, and God knows who else.

"We prepare to defend and evacuate." Alex said. "Fortunately, we won't need to right now."

A whole lot of Star Destroyers were in the Coruscant system, and consequently, they began to attack the intruders. Sheets of deadly green energy shot out at the enemy, more firepower than they intruders have possibly seen.

OOC: Problem is Corusaunt is already under assualt by Thrawn, Vader, and God knows who else.OOC: This is before the civil war began.

OOC: Not to sound like a prude but won't it affect the Civil War if Coruscant fell to them?

OOC: It won't. Why? Because my fleet will be there soon. No way in hell are you standing up against PSP-equipped craft.
@CoreWorlds: I should have at least a small fleet at Couruscant as part of my commitment to the Empire. RP them if you want...

"Fair 'nuff," Kira responds. "Plenty of time to finish up." She bounced on the soles of her feet, ready for another go at the tree, shot forward.

OOC: Nope, since Coruscant is very heavily defended by a multitude of Star Destroyers, a Super Star Destroyer sometimes, and now, even the Death Star at times. No way in hell even Hyperflight's fleet could defeat them all.

(It's not my fleet you have to worry about, but the Black Empire armada. They're the ones truely outfitted for war. And have the numbers to do it. They are dangerous, and not afraid to fight, besides, I did not ever say either side was going to corusant or wayland. Hmmm, but I might attack dantooine.... and yavin, and geonosis, and kamino....)
