"Well, I'll get dressed, you go to the balcony, I'll catch up with you in a bit."

Roger nodded his head again and quickly left the room, saying, "See you up there then..."

Within at least 15 minutes Gaius tried to make himself look presentable, despite his haggard looking face. He combed his hair for the last time, then made his way down to breakfast, asking a servant the way. Finally he reached there, noticing Roger.

"Ah, I'm here at last." Gaius said, sitting down on one of the chairs.

Roger smiled and motioned to the empty seat, saying, "Please, sit down, breakfast will be right out..."

Gaius noticed Alice was in the chair next to Roger. Roger was quick to say, "Oh, I hope you don't mind, Alice decided to join us."

"Not at all, how do you do my lady?" Gaius bowed then sat down.

Alice smiled and said, "Great, I am well, you?"

"Well, mainly yes." Gaius smiled back.

Alice and Roger both cheerfully smiled at his reply. Alice spoke first, asking, "Are you sure you're okay? After that awful attack against you the other day, you seem to be doing remarkably well, you're a fighter aren't you?"


Roger then suggested, "Alice, dear, Gaius has been through a great deal, yes, I suggest we let him eat in silence and peace... Unless of course he doesn't mind answering questions."

"Not at all, I don't mind. I think that my speedy recovery was to do with your doctors, not my hardiness."

Alice blushed, "Oh, you're too kind sir, saying our technology is so advanced and our people are so capable... We try, that's all I can say, we try."

"I'm sure that Mississippi had better doctors than Dimmimar." Gaius chuckled. "But now down to business, have you thought of any specific terms for the alliance?"

Alice shrugged, she wasn't sure, "I'll let you and Roger discuss that in private if you like..."

Roger immediately said, "No, no, dear, you're the Czarina, you ought to have a say, yes?"

Alice smiled and nodded her head, "Okay..." before adding, "I was thinking, how about a mutual defense and mutual trade pact?"

Gaius took out a notepad and started furiously scribbling in his almost illegible handwriting.

"Yes, yes, but what about the division of the world?" Gaius asked.

Roger took out a rolled up map of the world from his nearby briefcase which Alice had brought for him when she came to breakfast. He laid the map out on the table and said, "Well, what do you want?"

"Well, We are quite happy to let you have Africa, you can even have the rest of Egypt if you like. But we would like South-East Asia and the majority of Oceania."

Roger nodded his head, rather good terms, "Yes, of course." He said.

"Umm, that's good, and you can have the Americas also."

Roger smiled for a second and then promptly said, "Great, that is very generous..."

"Well, we don't really need much more land, we have more than enough holdings around the world, although some of my advisors were contemplating a gigantic invasion of Russia."

Roger frowned before immediately saying, "I don't think invading Russia is a good idea, unless you're ready to go now, since it's May already... You have to start in April or May and never in June or God forbid, July. You need to start this early so the weather doesn't have time to turn against you."

"Believe me, even if we did invade it would be on a collosal scale, and noting the mistakes of former invaders of Russia."

Roger nodded his head, "Yes, I see... Well if you get into trouble, we can move airborne forces into Russia within a week or two, to the tune of at least one million, maybe four million."

"Thank you for the offer, I call if we need help." Gaius replied gratefully. "Ah, yes, but when are you going to come to Dimmimar?"

Roger shrugged, "No idea, none right now anyway, in a few weeks or a month maybe... Alice will have to be good to go then, she's pregnant again you know."


Alice blushed and gently slapped Roger's hand, "Roger, you know I'm always eager to accompany you on your travels, I'll be okay."

"Well, I don't mind when you come. The door's open anytime for you both." Gaius replied.

Roger smiled, as did Alice; she spoke first. "Oh, Gaius, that's ever so nice of you, thank you for your kindness."

Roger then added, "Yes, you're a good man, Gaius, you're welcome in Mississippi whenever you want to come here. Hey, perhaps you'd like a nice vacation house on the beach near Gulfport?"

"Yes, I must return the favour though, we have several vacant manor's vacant near Imperial City."

Roger nodded his head but Alice spoke first again, "Oh, that's so kind of you, Gaius, thank you."

"That's fine, but anyway I look forward to seeing you sometime."

Roger replied this time. "Oh, that'd be great, and I look forward to coming someday." he said.

"Well, I need to get back in about a day or two. The parliament is opening soon."

Roger yawned a bit but quickly covered his mouth and then started to speak, "Ah, well if you'd like, a MiG-41 two-seater could fly you back to Dimmimar, it'd get you there rather quickly."

"That'd be great, I told my plane to fly back to Dimmimar yesterday anyway."

Roger nodded his head before he suggested with a grin, "Hey, would you like to go hunt some alligators or crocs? I can get you a nice double barrel hunting rifle and we can go hunting for a bit if you'd like."

"Ah, hunting, brilliant. I've never hunted alligators or crocs before. Dimmimar's too wet for them."

Roger smiled, but again as before, Alice spoke first, saying, "You'll just love the hunting here, I know you will. Roger tries to get me to go with him, but hunting really isn't for women, you know?"

Roger sighed, "Ah, come on, Alice, dear, you ought to at least try it... I mean who would have thought a woman could manage an entire nation, but you did for over a month, you're capable of most anything you put your mind to."

Alice blushed and giggled a bit, "Oh, Roger... Okay, if you insist and Gaius doesn't mind, I'll come along with you on your hunt."

"Of course I don't mind." Gaius replied.

Gaius was bemused by the Czarina. She seemed rather compliant to Roger's every word.

Alice put an arm around Roger as she giggled, "If you don't mind, then I'll surely be there... After all, if Roger wants me there, I ought to go, yes?"

"Yes, of course." Gaius had to force himself not to laugh.

Roger then said, "Great, when shall we go?"

"Well, I could let my food digest first, I hate indigestion."

Roger nodded his head and said, "Well then, how about in six hours, say? Is that okay? You can rest for a bit and we'll be by then, eh?"

"Well, I'll sit back and relax for a while then."

Roger nodded his head in the typical Roger fashion (he nods his head slightly to the side as he slightly raises one brow and lowers the other)

Alice was the one who spoke though. "Okay, that'll be okay, we'll come get you in a bit, eh?" She said.

"Okay then, I might hang around here for a while, basking in the sun."

About six hours later, sure enough, as they had said, Roger and Alice both came by to Gaius's room and Alice knocked gently on the door, whispering "Gaius, sir, are you ready, the hunt begins..."

Gaius put his pen and paper down. He had been writing a book in calligraphy, about the good present in every person, he tossed his blotting paper in the bin, then opened the door.

"Yes, I am ready." Gaius said, getting his shoes on.

Roger nodded his head and handed Gaius a double-barrel rifle, the action snapped open, so he could confirm it wasn't loaded. "Here, you'll need that, we'll load them when we get there, safety first, eh?"

"Of course, but what exactly will we be hunting?"

Alice giggled lightly before saying, "Gaius, we've told you, alligators and crocodiles... Did you forget so easily already?"

Roger blushed with embarrassment and told Alice, "Alice... Gaius doesn't need to be told he forget, anyway, Alice, no more wine for you, eh?"

She sighed, "If you say so, Roger."

Gaius nodded curtly and stepped out of the room.

Roger led Gaius down to the car garage, and then held the door on the first Hummer they came to, saying, "After you..."

Alice had gotten into the back of the hummer and immediately buckled up.

One thing Gaius would surely notice, there were at least a thousand cars in the garage, most of them incredibly expensive.

"Nice cars, ever drove them all?" Gaius asked.

Roger shook his head, "Not quite all of them, almost all though..." He said, as he started up the hummer they were in.
