OOC: Foe Hammer how big is this blast suppose to be. My plane crashed near the acigoo. Imported send a team of men to recover us. So how large is thw wriaths blast radius? If it too large its unfair to me and imported because i cant continue without him and he is not on to respond.

The blast area can be contained to 1000 sq. feet. In this case the blast was fired at the direct center of the massive Acigoo lake. Your men are safe.

IC:

Drakomis looked happy for once, suited up in Anagonian Battle Fatigue he seemed to be ready for a war. However, what made him look, for once, happy was the fact that the Anagonian Military was moving out to assist in the Acigoo Crisis. Contacting ViZion earlier on, and after requesting permission to assist, Drakomis decided to go with his forces to the field. Two ground divisions were to be sent to the Eastern Sector of the Acigoo Block Zone, and from what he heard it would be an easy job. No matter, however, Drakomis was just excited to finally get out of that damn office.

About two hours earlier he had arrived at the airport, where he now stood watching the two divisions pack up their gear for travel. It wasn't a long ways to Kongola, so it wouldn't be that long of a trip. Drakomis watched as ten V-22 Osprey launched in unison, and hundreds of 5-ton trucks departed via road. Only a few C-130 Hercules would be needed this time, but just enough to get the troops in. The M2A3's would travel by road themselves also.

Grasping his personal weapon, an M16/M203, he boarded one of many Huey Helicopters that were to depart. As it lifted off, he looked down to see many Tank Garrisons getting ready, although he didn't recall ordering them out he liked the idea of big guns nontheless.

"Well," he said to one Soldier beside him, "This should be interesting."

OOC: Alright, since I was away earlier, this happens before Foe Hammers bombardment...

IC:
Order From ViZionarian Scientific Headquarters
Evacuation Required
We are ordering the evacuation of all ViZionarian scientists after warning of massive bombardments from various nations. It is becoming a war-zone in Kongola, and we will not risk loosing another scientist over Acigoo.

Order is effective immediately. Pack all things you took to Kongola. Anything you have obtained from Kongola is strictly forbidden to bring to ViZion, including, but not limited to, Acigoo, ground samples, and experiments.

We will see all of you back in ViZion tonight.

Secret IC:
As the ViZionarian's were packing up, Ross Maximus, one who, until now, had never delt with Acigoo, snuck out of the camp. With him, he took his compact Zero G vacume (OOC: Remember, vacumes can contain small amounts of Acigoo.) He slowly, quietly, walked up to the lake of Acigoo. He knew he was disobeying orders. He knew he would be in large trouble if anyone found out about this. But, he felt that, as a scientist, he needed to do this.

He took out the compact vacume, and within seconds, he had his sample of Acigoo. He quickly put it back in his bag, and headed back to camp to help pack up.

When he arrived, Roberts quickly walked up to him. "Where were you?" he asked. "I had to... take a crap... can't a guy take a crap without being asked what he's doing? Geeze. Let's keep packin'..." Ross snapped back.

With that, nothing else was asked. They knew they needed to get out of here ASAP. Things were not going well. At all.

OOC: And, no, no one just "happened" to see him do that. This is for a plan of a future RP. If you claim to know about this, be forewarned, your claims will be ignored.

OOC: Since Kongola is going to be pretty much obliterated (as if it wasn't already), I guess I'm pulling out of this here thread.

IC:
NOTICE OF EVACUATION:

Communication between the ANL Central Command and the team in Kongola has been insane. Although no skirmishes have taken place thus far, the danger was too grave. With the immenet obliteration of Kongola, the ANL central command has sent an evacuation order to the camp.

Within two hours (NS), the 5 AZ-Tu95c's will be departing for their flight back to the ANL.

Secret IC:
All transcripts of this situation are being stamped as top secret and classified only to the Premier himself. Kongola is being stricken out of all public and private references and all people involved with the Kongolan incedent are being mandated to never speak of it again.

Onboard the Orbital Pioneer One

"Sir! The Bomber strike....the reports just came in."

"Well? Did it start growing?"

"Yes Sir, just as you predicted. Should I give the order to commence bombardment?"

"Yes.....at once....it's all we have now."

"Yes Sir....uh, sir?"

"Yes?"

"Sir....", said the Aide, hesitantly, "If the bombardment fails....what should we do?"

"If it fails....we just have to pray the stuff doesn't learn to get into space. Quite simply, if this fails, I have little hope of anything stopping it."

"...yes Sir. I'll give the order at once.", said the Aide, once again hurrying out the door.

On the Surface of Earth

"Jesus", whispered the lead bomber pilot as he pulled up, heading back to space.

Below him was a scene resembling a nightmare. On the ground, the Acigoo seemed to be spreading faster than the plane as it spread outwards from the bomb impacts.

Of course, the Acigoo wasn't exactly happy about being bombed, even if it did end up helping it....

The Pilot and Co-Pilot of the lead bomber shielded their eyes as a bright flash came from their right. As they tried to look at it without being blinded, it became obvious what the flash was. It was Bomber 2.

The Bomber next to them had simply blown apart, and the reason only became apparent when green blobs started flying up, like a thicker version of acid rain in reverse. As the blobs continued to fly up, Bomber One's bombadier looked down through the bomb hatch to see a sight that would live with him for life. To be exact, it would live with him for roughly 3 seconds, since that was how long he managed to catch a glimpse of the horror beneath him before a glob of Acigoo slammed into the bottom of the bomber, vaporising it instantly.

The Acigoo had started flying, and it was using the only weapon at it's disposal:

Itself.

OOC: *waves a magic wand and makes Foe Hammer disappear* Seriously, someone said this was a Beta Strain of the goo, so maybe the wraith-stuff only feeds it instead of killing it. :P

OOC#2: Janathoras is modern-to-space tech, with a bit magic-like abilities (only certain very special individuals and no spell-casting or anything 'flashy') thrown in. Incidentally they worship demons, but that's just religion. *g* Oh, and their ancestors were quite a bit more magical than they currently are and they can 'see' the magical energies like birds can see ultra-violet.

IC: The intelligence officer, named Jan Ma'keel, who had been sent to observe this strange new threat, had been quite successfully circulating the scientific and military camps, using an archaic radio to pick up the unscrambled transmissions to observe the miniature war fought in the air.

The Acigoo itself, it seemed to him, couldn't have picked up a better place to crash in - everyone was worried about their own interests, mainly, and paying the stuff minimal interest.

And then the bombers came...

Running for your life was an interesting experience, a small, non-panicked fraction of Jan's mind thought as he did just that, trying to dodge the blobs and creatures of the Acigoo that had been splattered everywhere and were apparently just as surprised as everyone else about what had happened, but much quicker to grasp the situation and take advantage of the chaos around them.

Intelligence officer Jan Ma'keel realized he was in deep trouble only after he reached the place where his jet had been concealed, and found instead a small lake of Acigoo in its stead.

"Well, I guess it's time to go talk to the others..." he muttered to himself and then headed towards the nearest sounds of machines and human voices, snapping down the one-way-mirror shield of his helmet, to disguise the others from the fact that his eyes had two pupils each.

From Sovereign Hanno of Janathoras:

"We would like to offer any and all humanitarian aid you require, in the form of medicines, clothing, food and shelter. The southern parts of our great nation often suffer from floods, so we have this kind of emergency capability prepared at all times. We only ask that the nation of Kongola would let us perform a small religious event on your soil, to pray for protection from this Acigoo threat from the many demons worshipped since the days of our Ancestors."

As the Interceptors and the last Bomber finally dragged themselves into space, they counted themselves lucky. Many hadn't made it out. Two bombers struck down by flying Acigoo in the first few seconds, and 6 Interceptors were lost as they frantically tried to speed away, struggling against Earth's gravity.

The last remaining Bomber opened a link to the waiting Pioneer Two in orbit above them, it's defence fleet spread out around it, ready to commence the barrage.

"Pioneer Two, Pioneer Two, this is Bomber 3. We have completed the drop, but Bombers 1, 2, 4 and 5 were destroyed. Also, 6 of our Interceptor escorts were destroyed. We lost 4 and 5 to enemy missile fire, and 1 and 2 were lost to the Acigoo, along with the Interceptors. We're just reporting in to let you know we're clear of the site, and the Orbital Bombardment can commence."

*Kzzzt* Bomber 3, Bomber 3, this is Pioneer Two. We read you. The defence fleet will commence Orbital Bombardment at once.....it's good to see at least you made it out of there in one piece. Pioneer Two out *Kzzzt*

As the small ships docked, the Bombardment capable ships of the fleet went to work.

The only ships capable of Bombardment were the Dreadnought, the 4 Bombardment ships, the 5 Heavy Cruisers, and the 2 battleships.

All were filled to the brim with missiles capable of re-entering the atmosphere (In on piece), as well as Heat-Shielded Mass Driver Ammunition, specifically created for surface bombardments.

At the order of the fleet commander, each ships opened up on the planet, with every shot aimed directly at the Asteroid.

[OOC]: Quite literally, anyone within roughly 3-5 miles of the Acigoo better start running reeeeeeeeally fast. Ye've got missiles and what is basically comets about to impact right on the asteroid and in the area around it (Yeah....that Acigoo is gonna evolve so fast it's probably gonna start building Acigoo guns or something >.>)

One didn't know what to do. He stood, awestruck, staring at the massive Acigoo creature looking down at him.

He unslung his assault rifle and attempted to put three rounds in the bastard's head, but the attack was quickly ceased as the creature picked up One by the head, and ripped off his Chemsuit. The jaws of the massive creature opened, revealing rows of teeth and two large fangs.

The creature forced One into its mouth, and the fangs thrusted deep into One's chest, breaking clean through the reinforced chestplate of. One was quickly devoured by the numerous teeth, his blood splattering on the ground, and in the Acigoo.

Onboard the HSV Omaha...
A nervous deck officer approached Halsey.
"Sir, we're getting massive readings from the remaining Acigoo lakes. The missiles and bombs of Rinceweed only aided in the Acigoo's growth. The strike has more than outruled our Wraith cannon hits. Shall we fire the Wraith cannon again?"

(OOC: Okay, I guess since you idiots decided not to listen to me, I'll try this again. I'll decrease the effect of the Wraith cannon. It won't shrink Acigoo, but will only slow it down.)

"Yes. Notify the fleet to quad up and engage Wraith Collaberation systems."

(OOC: This means that four vessels will focus their power into two large beams. These beams, when fired, are larger, but the same color, and they spiral around each other to form a double helix.)

"Aye, sir."

(OOC: The WCS slows down the Acigoo more than a standard Wraith shot would. This should aid Rinceweed in containing the Acigoo during the bombardment.)

(Final OOC: I'd like to reaffirm at this point that Foe Hammer is a nation of over 3 billion citizens, and was founded April 19th, 2003.

Quite simply, the Mass Drivers won't really affect it since it's just solid matter. At most, it might squish the stuff flat, but it'll not really be affected.

Anyone stupid enough to still be in the same city as the Acigoo would have probably noticed the sky getting brighter. If they had looked up, they would have seen why.

Hundreds upon hundreds of chunks of solid matter were screaming from the heavens, like all-new asteroids, but this time they lacked the creamy center, whilst literally thousands of large missiles wove intricate dances amongst the gigantic chunks of matter, each aiming at a random spot within 5 miles of the impact point of the Acigoo Asteroid.

If said hypothetical onlooker was still stupid enough to be standing around watching the incoming Armageddon, they would notice various flying blobs of Acigoo landing around the asteroid and liquefying. Unless you happened to be a very well informed onlooker, you wouldn't realise that the creatures had basic intelligence, and recognised a free meal incoming when they saw one.

As the Solid Chunks pounded into the ground, gigantic craters sprung up, intermixed with gigantic blasts from the missiles.

As the dust finally cleared, it revealed a much changed landscape.

The entire area of bombardment was nothing but craters. There wasn't even rubble, since what little there could have been was turned to dust and ash in the first few seconds of the bombardment.

But, of course, that wasn't the worst part.

The worst part was the Acigoo.

Almost the entire bombardment area was grey with Acigoo, as it multiplied and evolved with lightning speed. Already gigantic flying beasts were forming, as well as ground-hugging creatures as big as Tyranossaurus Rex.

The Acigoo army had formed.

Then Phanix forces were already in the mountains about 30 miles from the impact zone. They had already set up a massive base of operations asembling large squads of troops and heavy armor. Mostly assempled were the remaining AE unit aswell as the RS and some ASU. The RS however didn't look like they normaly would. There armor was far more bulky and there rifles now rembled large missile launchers. Orbitaly the amssive (by my ship sizes) 9.5km Hell class cotinued to deploy more and more dropships and fighters untill it was empty.

Ross Maximus was back at his home in Waterworth, a northern suburb of ViZion City. He was extremely excited about his sample he has collected. After a days rest, he was well refreshed. He went down to his lab in his basement. It was time to experiment.

He grabbed his Zero G vacume, and screw out a small sample; about 1/5th of what he had in it. He quickly put it on his testing soil, which was on the ground, a hole through the concrete he had made.

He dropped the small sampling onto it, and quickly grabbed his second vacume. Jesus Christ... this is amazing... insane! he thought to him self as it quickly grew. Within a seconds, he had to get that Acigoo into his second vacume, as it had tripled in the amount of Acigoo.

Time to call him... he thought, refering to a scientist he knew in Phalanix. He quickly ran to his phone. As it began ringing at his friends house, "C'mon, c'mon, pick up... pick up..." he said outloud, excitedly and impatiently.

His orders: take pictures of Kongola, and the creatures and Acigoo inhabiting it.

We will not pull out.

We feel that this matter is of too-high importance to leave behind. Reports are in that both the Governor-General and the acigoo has successfuly been transported.

We have requested a fort shield for the base which should both protect us from small-arms fire and repel the acigoo in a worst-case scenario (electromagnetic shield will stop it from spreading). It is currently being transported to us via shuttle. Additionally, for the unanticipated role of air defence, a squadron of HX-404 Warhammer Heavy Fighters (each with two laser Vulcan cannons capable of 4,200 blasts per mintute) has been called in for additional security.

We are commencing plasma strikes on the spreading parts of the acigoo to see if cauterizing it from the sheer heat will stop it. For the first time, we will have to escort our assets.

And....this just in, a sniper team overlooking the acigoo lake has reported killing what appeared to be a small pig exiting the lake.

IC:
Hanno Ur'Salath, the current Sovereign of Janathoras was unhappy. And generally, when the Soveregin was unhappy, someone was going to die. However, instead of drawing out his sacrificial knife, he just sat on his throne, steepled his fingers and watched the empty screen a moment longer.

"Comp, open me a link to the Main Temple."

"Communication link opened," the voice of the computer said, sounding like a trustworthy old mentor as always. "Mistress of the Temple online."

"Dear priestess," said Hanno in a decidedly icy tone, "it appears we have lost one of our citizens on foreign land to an alien threat. Is there any chance of his soul's retrieval?"

"We will look into this immediately, sire," the priestess replied, and was then cut off by a flick of the Sovereign's hand.

"Comp," said Hanno, addressing the Palace's main computer again, "notify me the minute the priestess sends a word. Also keep me informed of our 'relief mission's' approach of Kongola. I will have to perform a couple of rituals to charge up my battle armor."

OOC#2: (The Sovereign is one of those few magically gifted individuals in the society, but he can't do much to stop the Acigoo. He _can_, however, get to the spot to observe it, alone. I wonder if he'll die...? *g*)

[OOC]: Janathoras, I think Foe means your Elder in NS. As in, he's been here longer. But don't worry, to the best of my knowledge Sephrioth has been here for quite a long time, so seniority doesn't really count for shit.

IC: Horoshimana put down the phone again, a slight grin on his face, the grin that many people, when asked where they had seen it before, would say that for some reason they could swear they had seen it before at a mental hospital. It was the sort of grin that made grown men start wondering why their legs were trying to run away without them.

"AIDE! GET IN HERE!", shouted Horoshimana angrily.

The Aide rushed in again, stopping at the front of the desk, eyes wide with fear.

"Listen up, I want you to get a hold of Captian Marenus of the Battleship 'Kiss the Blade'. I hear he's been itching for action lately. I have a job for him, and I think it's just the sort of thing to calm down his itchy trigger finger for a while. Oh, and get the civlian transport 'Excelsior' to take about 50 civilians to the planets surface. Give 'em some weapons too. Might as well mess with that ViZion bastards mind....."

The Aide suddenly started wondering why his legs seemed to be shuffling backwards of their own accord.....

[OOC]: This is gonna be fun. Quite simply, I have a thing called a Subvecto Drive. It's my form of FTL transportation. Yeah, this is gonna be fun. Ya see....well....not to spoil what's gonna happen, but I suddenly have a fun idea.

"The mission is simple. Eight Maces with lasers and plasma sprayers are to fly over the edge of the lake at maybe fifteen meters, lower if possible, but do NOT go below five meters. Two SAR shuttles will be with them and six are to wait within three minutes of the lake. We will be escorted by four Warhammers with their Vulcan laser rotary cannons. They will also carry both Spiral light rockets and Sapper mines in case creatures start popping up. A third recon shuttle will fly with you as well as a gunship in case all hell breaks loose. Home in an hour. Exhaust your plasma and get out of there. Do not crash."

Electromagnetism should stop *everything* if it's made of atoms. The individual atoms will repel each other with a negative-negative charge (remember that the electrons on the outside of each atoms are negative).

And if it doesn't, well, we won't be destroyed by any attacks.

To test this, one of our Mace ships (which have an EM shield, usually used to protect from lasers, missiles, asteroids, and the like) will fly low and turn the shield from ON to ACTIVE.

(There are three levels: OFF provides no protection but saves energy, ON keeps it powered and activates it if something comes near, and ACTIVE keeps it on all the time, but takes up a hell of a lot of power.)

The spacecraft have returned without loss.

It was thought that the extreme heat of plasma would literally burn it to a halt, like using water to cool off lava. Burns were visible, but the acigoo simply went under them and pushed the burns to the surface.

Additionally, the EM shield did nothing to repel the acigoo.

A few small, dog-like creatures were reported exiting the lake, and were promptly made mincegoo by a gunship.

Not really.

Electromagnetism is the reason you don't go right through your chair and sink into the ground.

Bear in mind that all atoms have a positively charged nucleus which is balanced out by a negatively charged electron shell. Two atoms will never touch perfectly because of this- the negative charge of one repels the negative charge of the other.

So if you did fall off your chair, the floor atoms would repel your atoms, keepng you from having your atoms fall through the floor to the center of the earth.

Of course, acigoo does not have a charge... results come up negative on EM fields repelling it.

[in the Sovereign's Palace, Janathoras]

"Sire," the Comp said softly to gently break the Sovereign out of his meditation trance, "the Mistress of the Temple has announced that they were unable to reclaim the soul of the late Jan Ma'keel."

Hanno opened his eyes and frowned. "The stuff eats _souls_?!"

"She does not know if it is because of that or because of the death happening on unsacred soil."

"Send a messenger to my sister Mirandal, and tell her to return to Janathoras," the Sovereign ordered, standing up and wiping away the circle of brightly coloured sands that he had used as a powering-up focal point. "If anyone asks, I'll be going to Kongola myself," he added, heading for the side room of his apartment, where his deadly battle armor awaited.

OOC: (The battle armor is basically plas-steel: black, very spiky and looking threatening and rather insect-like. 07-11-2004, 00:43
*The hyperlight forces, demolished in the arrmagetton level crossfire, retreated back to home, but, with a lucky, LUCKY scientific breaktrhough, they might have power to get back in the game.*

Hey, Daverson, what's this scientific breakthrough you wanted to show me? *President Richardson ducked his head under the blast door, only to jump back out when a strange purple bolt of energy blasted at him.* HEY QUIT SHOOTING AT ME!

Sorry, sir, thought you were coming in through the other door. Frankly, I've found something you might want to see. I've found a way to phase and warp the time-space continuum!

Woah, hold up, you mean, ST type stuff, that kind of warping space?

Something like that. But, phasing our laser tech provides a 5000% increase in firepower! Plus, we get higher speeds, and we might finally get our prototype battleship into orbit!

Hmmm, it is time for our losses to be avenged.......

*Construction bay 1, Hyperlight main orbital launch facility.*

*Highlighted in the bay, a semi-graceful form is suspended over a vast pool of water. It is the RHS Kep Salu, pride of Hyperlight, their greatest achievement, and ultimately, their greatest failure. They could simply never produce enough thrust for it to fly. But, the simple new solution has changed everything........*

Are you sure that the upgrades have been fully integrated? *Richardson was still sceptical about the prospects for success. Even with 4 fusion reactors and their only prototype MARC (Matter/Antimatter Reaction Core) the ship could never produce enough thrust to lift itself. And considering the fact he had volunteered himself to captain her on her first successful maden voyage didn't help his nerves.*

All 30 cannons have been given the phase coil upgrade. The fusion drives have been upgraded with the phase and warping coils. She's supposed to barely be able to reach .5 C, so she should be fine, especially since we finally got the landing gear worked out. This time, she'll make it. Oh, and we have equipped all the torpedos with the new phased version of the antimatter warheads. She'll make it there, and put up a good fight. We've already loaded every shield generator we ever built aboard her, so you should be able to contain that crap, though it'll take some work. It's already over a 100 miles wide.

Here's to fortune favoring the bold.....

*600 hours, same place.*

RHS Kep Salu, you are cleared for launch. countdown set for 1 minute, and the meter is running.

Thank you control, let's hope she works this time. *Activates the comm system.* Engineering, activate the warp coils, and let's see if the anti-gravs can hold us this time.

*Down in the bowels of the ship, 2 major systems started up, and the ship began to rise, straining against it's moorings......*

Sir, we have confirmation of lift. We're gonna make it this time.

*Reflief flooding his features.* Helm.... *Prepares himself for the famous line....* Clear all moorings, preapre aft thrusters.

Confirmed, moorings cleared, holding steady, aft thrusters ready. Fusion drives online, waiting for final go.

Control, we await final countdown.

Confirmed, launch in T-10, 9, 8 *The rumble of the fusion reactors powering up the drives echoed through the ship.* 7, 6, 5, 4 Main engine start up. *The drives flared to life, as the ship cleared it's throat* 2,1 YOU ARE CLEARED!

Helm, FULL SPEED AHEAD! *The ship lept forward, the design so familiar to people laying it's dark shadow across the landscape as the ship flew to orbit.*

(OOC: The Kep Salu class battleship has been, for some time been Hyperlight's greatest failure. It built the ship long ago, when they thought they had the bugs worked out of fusion drives. But, since they just couldn't produce enough thrust for liftoff, the ship has been mothballed until now.
let's just say her designer, and the president, who approved it, both watch way too much trek. When you think of it, expand a contitution refit about 5 times, and you'll get the basic idea.)
Specs:
length: 1056 Meters
Width: 649 M
Height: 578 M
Decks: 192
Crew: 2000
Powered by Single MARC, 4 Fusion Reactors
Propulsion: 2 nacell type fusion drives, 1 drive mounted on back of engineering hull
Arment:
30 Mitchell-Yanger Type 5 laser cannons B varient, phase refitted.
(20 on saucer habitat, 10 broadsides on engineering hull. Each can level 10 city blocks with 1 shot. Each has a half-sphere firing arc.)
4 Forward Launchers
2 Aft
(Launchers launch new Type 2 orbital torpedo, Antimatter Warhead designed with phased detonation. Estimated power: Can blow most things below a 3 mile sphere to microscopic dust. Range: Designed for ship-to ship combat primarily, designed to be able to strike from halfway to the moon.)
Defensive systems:

3 redundant shield generators, each projecting a 2 mile sphere.
Countermeasures, all types (We ain't picky)

Carries:

2 Assault mech battalions each with dropship stored in hanger, space capible.
5 personelle shuttles, capible of space and atmospheric flight, mach 10

Carries 2 advanced LRI prototypes, never fully tested, space capible. Frankly, they need work.

Ship should be able to launch and land without assistance, though we aren't hedging bets. No, no transporters, the shields are weak, and lightspeed is still a long way away. In reality, the phase and warping tech has been getting worked on for a long time, it's just never been made known to anyone but it's inventor until now. Actually, pretty simple to execute, all laser cannons in hyperlight service will be refitted soon. Work has already started on RHC 2, Liberty (The Kep Salu is RHC 1.))

*Disaster zone several hours of testing later.*

*A shadow falls over the area, causing a quick stop in the fighting. A large shape is blotting out the sun, as it makes it's drop-off approach. The aft bay opens, to let loose the 2 drop ships of personelle before the ship makes a hard turn and re-activates it's shields. Moving near top speed, letting off continuous shockwaves of super-excited air, it moves over the the ditch, and lets loose, drilling holes miles deep with it's cannons. Then, one of the launchers glows red with fusion thruster startup, and a torpedo goes streaking away, the first live-fire test of it's type, detonating with a fierceness unknown to most nuclear weapons in the hole carved by the main guns. The ground for 10 miles in any direction caves into a hole a mile deep. Hyperlight has returned in force.*

(OOC: I know phasing the energy probably won't do much good, but it definately jumps the amount of firepower I can weild. By the way, I didn't do the phasing tech just for this rp, it's been coming for some time, as part of my country's development. Let the escalation continue. And yes, it should be able to take a fully volley from one of those orbital bases, after which, it can move out of the line of fire. And the shields should protect the ship, as they got slight upgrades as well.)

"Red Dog, one on your tail! I got 'em..."

"Messiah" lit up his Vulcan lasers, the pinnacle of fighter technology. Each one had six laser cores rotating like a minigun's barrels and one laser activator. It fired 4,200 blasts per minute with the same magnitude as a heavy mining laser- unfortunately, each one needed a small hydrogen reactor just to power. And they weren't trainable, like the lasers on other fighters.

The stream of blue, which looked more like a constant beam than a pulse laser, ripped into the creature, which gushed reddish-black blood that covered Messiah's windshield. He activated his synovial fluid dispenser and it all cleared up. The creature was falling, one of its four wings hit hard.

Messiah pitched down, fired a plasma rocket, and the thing lit on fire, two more wings gone. The plasma interfered too much to have a missile guidance system, but a well-trained pilot didn't need one.

The creatures, which looked like a cross between a dragon and a bear, had flown over the base. Lasers could kill them- lots and lots of lasers.

The base's AA cannons lit up. There was a charging, and a massive blast. Those particle cannons could kill you real hard.

"Messiah, behind you!"

A creature opened its jaws and bit the craft. The EM shields came up and shocked the creature. It tried again and somehow knocked the ship over. Messiah tried to avoid a spin, but it wasn't space, it was an atmosphere. He pulled out of the spin just before pulling up enough to make the crash a crash-landing.

Deep in the heart of the Sovereign's Palace of Janathoras, the central brain core of Comp was experiencing a set of sense data that humans would have called worry. It briefly wondered why the humans over in Kongola were so eager to help the stuff grow, not to mention - this it had been able to detect from the seismic input available due to the serious bombing of the impact zone - drilling holes that extended miles into the planetary surface, to give the 'Acigoo' more places to hide in.

One of the Comp's 'eyes' saw the Sovereign don his armor and then distance-warp himself away from Janathoras. The computer rather hoped with the personality its original creators had given it, that Hanno would make it back alive, as he had been a rather nice for a tyrant.

So far Sovereign Hanno was content to just observe the events, but if he thought that his interference might help to solve the matter, he would happily make some house calls to the headquarters of the troublesome nations, and those calls would be anything but pleasant to the leaders involved.

[OOC]: Georgian, i'd be surprised if anti-matter stuff helps. Quite simply, Acigoo doesn't follow any known rules of science, otherwise it would have been wiped out by now.

IC: Over the remenants of the city was chaos. Newly launched Rinceweedian interceptors were making frantic attempts to dogfight with the flying creatures.

Although the goo evolved when it came into contact with explosives or radiation, the solid creatures were literally blown apart by missiles, allowing the fighters to blast them into pieces. Unfortunately, they simply became goo again, and eventually reformed, ready for more action.

Also unfortunately, the Rinceweedian fighters didn't have the same advantage, and although they weren't taking many losses, they were far, far outnumbered by the enemy.

As one fighter barrel rolled to escape a flying Acigoo that had nearly slammed right into his left wing, he saw the current state of the Acigoo on the ground.

Far below, the entire city seemed to have become made of the Acigoo, as the gigantic lake of goo was slowly engulfing the entire city, as gigantic legged monsters stalked through what little of the city hadn't already been consumed.

[OOC]: For anyone wondering what this looks like, imagine the scene from independence day when they're about to blow up the big-ass ship that's hovering over them. Sir, everyone is too busy to even think about going after us....

Hmm...... take us back in, full thrust. Torpedos and all cannons at the ready, let's kick some moster ass. *Locks himself into his seat as the ship drops straight back into the atmosphere, it's outer layer of shields straining under re-entry ionization. The ship cuts a wake of blue sky through the oppressive clouds of dust as it moves in for a kill. Many of the monsters spot it and move to attack.* Tactical, wait for it.... *The monsters close, 5 miles, 4 miles, 3 miles, almost on top of them.....* FIRE!

*The cannons open up, spewing unworldly firepower upon the creatures. Many of the bolts bend in the peculiar way that apparently happens due to the phasing of the beam, and act like giant whips, slicing many of the monsters into non-existance.* Torpedo 2, fire. *The torpedo streaks out on fusion thrusters, clearing the shields, and streaking ahead until a creature by chance runs into it's flight path. Instantly, the phase array kicks in, and the antimatter is released. The resulting explosion can be seen from orbit as a 5 mile diameter of the air is completely annialated, along with the monsters inside of it. The air sucks back in to fill the void, then rebounds, creating a shockwave that blows down anything not secured for a hundred miles. Luckily, for anyone nearby.... anti-matter explosions don't create anti-matter.... But that doesn't mean that the stuff doesn't react to it.*

Sir, a slight bit of matter came out of the explosion, it's heading for the lake. Wait..... the sensors just went off the scales...... oh...

Shit. *The stuff touches the lake, and soemthing happens, it shudders, and then something starts to form out of it's depths....* Cannons to maxium setting. Direct the power from any system that isn't involved with keeping us up or protected to the forward 4 guns. Take the main fusion drive offline and reroute it's power to the forward guns too, and add the marc in, just for the heck of it. *The power buildup is an ominous whine throughout the ship.* And may god have mercy on our souls should this fail.....*

(OOC: basicly, DUCK AND COVER PEOPLE! This is gonna be one big splat, and while we stop what we created, about half the acigoo at a MINIMUM will remain. I suggest you take some serious evasive action, things are about to get hot. And I hope I didn't hit any fighters......)

Onboard the HSV Omaha

Halsey had had enough of this. He was ready to either run in, guns blazing, or pull out and scramble back to the Nordlund system. "Ops, scramble every wing of fighters and interceptors that we have in the four fleets."

"Aye, sir!"

Halsey did the math. 6 Battleships per fleet, one wing of fighters and one wing of interceptors each. That's 48 wings across all four fleets. Shitload of firepower, right there.

"Ops, a few more orders. Dispatch every gunboat to the surface. Bring the Omaha's AntiGrav systems online, take us down to 10,000 feet. Order the Exodus and Sabre to take up flanking positions. Activate all point-defense cannons and bring the Defensive AI online. Load and arm all Archer missile tubes.

"After all fighters and interceptors are dispatched, lock down all fighter and dropship bays."

"Aye, sir!"

In the cockpit of the Abbigail, the fighter of the wing leader of the 134th Hellfire Wing

"Fox one."
A blue streak sent an Acigoo creature soaring 100 feet into the air, in little chunks.

Kaufmann, the pilot, flipped his radio transceiver on. "Reaper, you've got a bogey on your eight o'clock. Engaging. Get the hell outta' the way!"

Kaufmann looked to Reaper's fighter, lining up the Acigoo bird soaring behind it. Reaper's fighter barreled off to the right, giving Kaufmann the chance to thwap the bird on the ass with a Spinner rocket. He took that chance.

"Fox three."

His cockpit went dark. No sunlight glared through the windows. The nightview cockpit light flashed on instantly, just as a massive object soared overhead. It's outline resembled a GravBattleship.

"Holy shit!"

Kaufmann spoke into his radio. "All wings, we have the Omaha on an attack run! Take up flanking positions and engage any opposing air forces!"

Aboard the Omaha once more
Halsey stood before the bridge screen, looking through it, and out the bridge windows, at Acigoo birds exploding, and .50 caliber rounds piercing their flesh. A wonderful sight. One Acigoo bird attempted to land on the vessel, only to be rejected by the selective shield. Quite an impressive piece of technology, that shield is.

(OOC: Hammerian vessels and fighters have a special chip in them that emits a signal. It allows them to pass through the shield as if the shield weren't there.)

The Defense AI emitted a chime sound, then spoke. "Firing Archer Missile tubes A1 through B12."

36 missiles streaked into the air, finding their ways to various horrific-looking Acigoo creatures.

Halsey smiled. This, he thought, is what I needed.

OOC: Janathoras, do us a favor, and shut the hell up.

I didn't try to wipe out the Acigoo. I TRIED TO CONTAIN IT AND GET RID OF IT by putting it in special containers, and SHOOTING IT INTO A FRIKKIN' BLACK HOLE, just like we've done for ALL of the Acigoo wars. You don't know shit about Acigoo. Why don't you just leave?

Sorry to burst your bubble, bud, but alkalies most likely won't work, since Acigoo doesn't follow any scientific laws, theories, or boundries.

And tell that cut it out stuff to Janathoras. He won't stop accusing me of godmodding. If he could at least say it in a nicer form, such as "I don't think that's possible. Can you explain it?" I would be nicer to him.

[near the Kongola's border, in a temporary humanitary relief camp set up by the Janathoras International Aid (JIA) expedition]

The JIA official in charge of the aid mission had been, mildly put, astounded to see the Sovereign marching into the camp in his battle armor, but as soon as she had gotten over her surprise, she'd quickly made sure that a temporary building was set aside for Hanno.

Relieved to be rid of the armor - no matter how comfortable it had been made to wear, it still wasn't - Hanno was examining the latest figures and information of the battle against the stuff they called Acigoo.

"So their anti-matter bombing run worked partially?" he clarified from the computer technician, who had set up an uplink with the spy satellite near enough in orbit to witness the events far below.

"Yes, well, you see, sire, it seems to have wiped out _some_ of the matter, but it's also created something new... probably something new and _big_. We can only hope they can also kill it, whatever it is."

"Has anyone tried cold light against it yet?" the Sovereign asked.

"Not as far as I know, sire," the technician answered.

Hanno frowned thoughtfully and then turned to the JIA official. "Does your expedition carry any cold light devices?" he asked.

"Some, yes, but they're not the military sort," she replied promptly. "They could be modified, though."

"Well, get to modifying them, then," said Hanno, turning back to the screen that showed him glimpses of the battle's process. "I have a feeling that even if the space nations can get rid of that lake of that stuff, there will be puddles and monsters enough left for us to experiment with."

OOC: ('Cold light' is kind of like powerful laser without heat generated - I have a nice pseudo-scientic explanation for it, too, if someone needs to hear it - but it won't certainly work on any big amounts of Acigoo, if even the small ones.)

*On the battlefield....*

*The acigoo supermonster takes aim at the RHS Kep Salu, and fires off a massive burst of the monstrous material, which nearly depletes the forward shields....* SIR! Forward shield layers 1 and 2 down! 3 is holding a 25%!

Main guns, FIRE! * The guns let loose the stored energy in them, bursting so powerful that even with the fusion drives to full, the ship was shoved backwards at above it's top speed. The 4 beams drilled through the monster, utterly overpowering it's molecular bonds, turning it to bits of atoms. However this one burst comes at a price to the Kep Salu...*

Sir, another burst like that and the ship will rip apart......

Hmmm.... stopped what we created at least.... keep on striking down the creatures as they emerge, maximum firepower through the cannons we can safely channel. *The ship resumes it more leisurely bombardment, as the immediate threat is over..... for now. It flits to and fro through the battle, assisting the worst spots, trying to save as many lives as it can.....*

(OOC: I created the blasted thing, and I simply overpowered it. An idea for taking this stuff out though.... super power it enough so that it simply looses cohesion and falls into normal matter..........................)

Halsey initiated the Omaha's commchannel.

"All Hammerian forces, initiate a full-force assault on all remaining Acigoo creatures. Break formation and engage."

As if reading his mind, the fighters broke off from the formation, barreling out to the side or doing half-Cuban-Eights.

"Nav, engines to full, initiate our previous attack vectors. Set perimeter checkpoints to ensure that we sweep the area. Ops, keep the weapons system functional. Push reactors and generators to 120%. Disengage all unnecessary systems and feed available power to weapons and shielding systems."

"Aye, sir!"

HSF Abbigail

Kaufmann jerked his control stick (OOC: It's off to his left, on a side panel), sending him barrel-rolling off to the left as he and his squadron broke the main formation. "Alright, boys. Watch your sixes. We're on our own once more. We've got the 187th flying interception, but don't take it for granted. Engage any and all remaining acigoo creatures."

He noticed his squadron gradually form up, initiating their attack run sequences. "Conserve your Spinners and heavy warheads."

A glob of Acigoo shot from the lake and formed into a large bird. Globs of the goo hit the Abbigail, but were quickly deflected by the shields. Kaufmann thumbed a switch on his control stick. "Fox Eight."

Goo slapped against the shield as the bird exploded in a cloud of shrapnel and acidic blood.

Halsey winced as an Acigoo bird nearly struck the bridge windows.

Nav reported, "Elevated enemy air opposition on the readouts. Beginning evasive manuevers."

The massive Omaha veered to the left, listing by roughly 25 degrees, which would send any crewman tumbling out of his bunk. "Gravity-assist enabled." The gravity-assist turn would keep said crewman in his bunk, and he wouldn't notice a thing.

Waves began to ripple in a part of the lake. This was no easy accomplishment, making ripples in a gooey material, so this had to be big.

"Ops, magnify viewscreen grid C9."

The enlarged image appeared on the bridge screen. Just as the zoom completed, a large monster sprang from the goo. Halsey didn't have the time, nor the patience to get any data readouts on it. "Ops, engage!"

"Aye, sir!"

The Omaha's numerous .50 Caliber Autocannons and missile turrets rotated in unison, and began to unleash a hellish storm of lead upon the new contact. It lurched back, as the force of the impact would be enough to split this fucker into pieces. But, there was one problem. It didn't.

What the hell? That would have ripped anything that size apart...

Gentlemen, gentlemen.
As one may plainly see, the asciggo is coming to a close. (btw, i was one of the first ppl in this thread, but left b/c it was becoming a future tech thread)
The Holy Empire Of Christopher Thompson has recently obtained the most destructive weapon known to man-kind. Even future-tech nations yield to it's most awesome power. It is, however, not conventional. It uses no form of explosives, or awesome not yet proven technology at all. This bomb, is the BS bomb.
I Aquired by guessing crazed marines sig, so I got it for free. This bomb is the bs bomb, standing for the Barbera Streisand bomb. here's the specifics:
THE WORST WEAPON IMAGINABLE!
THE BS BOMB!
BARBRA STREISAND'S SINGING!
Yes ladies and gentlemen! We have the worst weapon of mass destruction possible! The horrible singing completely destroys all structures! Just loooking at her makes children cry to the point where they explode, grown men commit suicide, while women catch on fire. The sour notes even kills animals and infiltrates soundproof underground bunkers. The high-pitched singing may be heard by the deaf.
Range of destruction: 650 miles
Cost per speaker (self-destructs after playing so that the enemy cannot capture it): $50 million each
