I'm in the process of RP'ing the take-over of Massachusetts. Essentially, Rhode Island joined me without a fight, but Massachusetts has been divided into half.

East half, with Boston joined me, as I've RP'ed their fear of being totally destroyed by my navy and airforce as they can reach within 30 - 50 miles inside Massachusetts with their guns, bombs, and missiles. West Mass has rebelled / seceded, calling themselves Doma Chusetts, as they don't have to fear my battleships and stuff bombarding land west of Worchester as they don't quite have that range yet..

Basically, Operation Diamondia = colonization of Antarctica.

My troops in Doma Chusetts and Rhode Island are converging on Connecticut, eliminating all Connecticut resistance. I've RP'ed Connecticut sending the bulk of its army to Doma Chusetts and having the Connecticut army being routed along with Doma Chusetts. This basically leaves Connecticut poorly defended and wide open for my forces to mop up in.

That's the gist of what's happening in my RP right now.

As the result of top secret negotiations in Rio today, a major set of accords have been reached between several S.H.I.T. nations. The formal details have not been revealed for various reasons that should be apparent as you read the following. However, the ultimate result will be enanched trade and security for all S.H.I.T. members.

Even though we are not a military alliance, clearly, security of our members must be of concern as member at war is a member who has less resources available for trade with fellow members. Further, anything that enhances the ability of a nation to access resources in safety or to access more resources at a cheaper cost, benefits us all. Therefore, the chair of S.H.I.T. is pleased to announce the following:

1. The nation of Norleans has agreed to a "swap" by which the nation of VirginIncursion gains ownership of the islands of St. John and St. Thomas in the American Virgin Islands in return for VirginIncursion's assistance and techonology which will be used to turn Norlean's oil rig platforms in the Gulf of Mexico into "underwater city" oil platforms, thus adding protection and stability to the flow of oil from Norlean's oil production facilities, a benefit to all S.H.I.T. partners.

2. Due to the large population of VirginIncursion and the "separation from the homeland" of Peru from Norleans proper, Norleans has agreed to "lease" to VirginIncursion the territory of Peru for 99 years for the sum of $100.00, plus undisclosed information regarding the maintainance by Norleans of a military presence in Peru and the access to "cheap" resources of Peru by Norleans. The parties have stated that fellow S.H.I.T. members should envision the "lease" of Hong Kong from China by Britain as they contemplate the details of this treaty.

OOC: for informational purposes only - Norleans will have a naval base in Lima and a NORAD style military and airbase in the Andes mountains. Norleans will get to purchase "raw" commodities/products from VI produced in Peru on the same terms as if Norleans still controlled Peru and was producing the raw commodities/products themselves. Manufactured items will be traded between VI in Peru and Norleans on the same terms as if VI was selling them to any other S.H.I.T. member though. VI will be noted as the "owner" of Peru on the maps and will have full political control of the area.

3. In a technology deal "made in heaven" the Mauiwowee owned, French Polynesia island of Rapa , along with the technology needed for VirginIncursion to manufacture and produce their own "Sub-Fighters" will be given to VirginIncursion in exchange for VirginIncursion's giving to Mauiwowee the technology needed for Mauiwowee to manufacture and produce their own version of VirginIncursion's submerissible Carriers. An underwater "Carrier" with underwater "Fighters" will be the end result.

In connection with this deal, VirginIncursion naval vessels will be supplied with Mauiwowee produced super-cavitating torpedoes and a Mauiwoweean "specialist" in super-cavitation technology and torpedoes will be assigned to every VirginIncursion naval vessel which is outfitted/supplied with the super-cavitational torpedoes.

OOC: Mauwiwowee is not providing VI with the technology or information needed to make super-cav torpedoes of their own. Rather, it is placing those torpodeos on select VI naval vessels and controlling their use by way of a Mauiwoweean officer who is placed on those vessels as a "visiting officer." Note also that Maui's and VI's deal will not permit either of them to trade in or sell the technology for underwater carriers, sub-fighters or super-cav torpedoes to anyone and as members of FOAM they cannot/will not use the technology against each other under any circumstances.

The chair looks forward to the enhanced productivity and security these agreements will bring to S.H.I.T. and encourages more such agreements between members in the future. Not to be rude or anything, but did you actually read the claims listing at all? Check the claims list and see if the land you want already has a player's name next to them. If they do, you gotta find something else, but if no player name next to land you want, that means you have a good shot on having your claim recongized.

For the record, I own Jamaica.

Prince Edward Island is named as a South African asset in RL. And this
thread listed it as untaken so I built a missile base on it to protect South
Africa from naval assult from the Indian Ocean. Although Great Romeo supposedly steamed right by it with a huge naval force ... twice.

VI, a couple of things.

First, even if you move to Terra, you won't lose much power because everybody else will lose much of their NS populations. I have 1.4 billion in NS and Earth V, but in Terra, I would only have 240 million if Tene approves my claims list.

Vineyard would be at like 200 million, instead of 700 or 800. TGSR, Whittier., Tene, etc. will also drop in population from 2 billion to around 200 - 300 million, I believe.


Second, Earth V will still continue. This Terra thing is an enhancement, a Earth where realistic RP's will take place. No more 2 billion people living on a small island, or 1 billion people living in Rome or Rhode Island. No more of that unrealistic stuff.




Tene, the problem with TGSR and Earth V is that it is here at Zifos. There has been very little advertising / action over at NS to introduce new people to Earth V.

Not at all. You see, this is the old Earth V claims thread, and TGSR hasn't updated it in a long while. There's quite a bit of confusion going on with several Earth V players going inactive or quitting (Fodmodmadtol and Tenebricosis for instance).

I gotta get a hold of TGSR and see what he says. Mauiwowee and I are now co-moderators of Earth V. Do not worry, I will not "shaft" ya or anything like last time.

If you're not able to claim land in North America, there should be plenty of room in Africa or Asia (Russia is open because Tenebricosis apparently quit Earth V because its not at Zifos.com anymore).

Not at all. You see, this is the old Earth V claims thread, and TGSR hasn't updated it in a long while. There's quite a bit of confusion going on with several Earth V players going inactive or quitting (Fodmodmadtol and Tenebricosis for instance).

I gotta get a hold of TGSR and see what he says. Mauiwowee and I are now co-moderators of Earth V. Do not worry, I will not "shaft" ya or anything like last time.

If you're not able to claim land in North America, there should be plenty of room in Africa or Asia (Russia is open because Tenebricosis apparently quit Earth V because its not at Zifos.com anymore).

However, I am curious. Are you from Canada in RL, Kormanthor? Just wondering if you're trying to claim your hometown or something. :)

No I'm an American, I just claimed Canada because America was already taken. Can I claim Russia then? I am not concerned with this Tenebricosis getting pissed about it as he has been very rude to my regions founder in the past and I wouldn't need much of an incentive to go to war against him in or out side of Earth V.
