Outside the Presidential Palace in Norvington, Capital of the Lightning Star

Outside the Preidential Palace was a swarm of angry citizens. What had started as a small crowd of maybe 300 people had swollen to over 300,000. "We want the Emperor Back! We Want the Emperor Back!" They chanted, over and over. They were flying the Old Imperial Colors. Some were even wearing the Imperial Robes! The President looked at them calmly. A little bit of his coaxing will make them listen. It always did. He walked onto the balcony. "Hear me, people of the Lightning Star! The Emperor only caused you pain and suffering. I have brought prosperity to our Nation! Why do you chant for a lost cause?" he said in his booming, charismatic voice. Unfortunatly, even his loud voice over the speakers wasnt loud enough. The Crowd just chanted louder and louder. Then the fateful event happend. One of the Protesters took our a gun and shot the President. The PRresident fell backwards, luckily the bullet only hit his arm. After that, all hell broke loose. Many of the people had guns, seeing how it was a Lightning Starian Tradition. They started shooting the palace, some even throwing Molotov Cocktails. Then the Palacial Guards started shooting back, and then they called in the Army. The city had, for the third time in its history, become a battlefield. The city itself has a population of 3.4 million. Nearly 3 million angry citizens started firing on the army, from which maybe 10,000 soldiers left to join the crowds. The 400,000 citizens that supported the President started shooting back at the Imperialists, bu they were too many. Both sides had secret paramilitary groups, but eh Imperial one out-numbered and out-gunned them. The Presidential Supporters were forced to retreat from the city. The Imperial Colors flew over the Palace once again.

All over the country, fighting has begun. There are four Factions.

1. The Red Army(which supports the President).
2. The Black Army(which is trying to re-instate the Emperor.
3. The Soldiers of the Holy Cross.( Agroup that is strangely like the christian Martyrs brigade. All white, and all chistian, although these belong to the Church of the Lightning Star. They wish to instate the Lightning Star Pope as ruler.)
4. The Seperatists. ( a bunch of people in the Western part of the country who wish to join the Nation of Washibar.)

Each of the Factions supporters tally as follows:
1. The Red Army: 40 million supporters :3 million soldiers
2. The Black Army: 100 million supporters: 7.4 million soldiers
3. The Soldiers of the Holy Cross: 70 million supporters: 4.782 million soldiers
4. The Seperatists: 30 million supporters: 2 million soldiers

Anyone is more than welcome to choose a side to support, and someone can choose to Control the separatists. Im going to try to get Communist Mississippi to RP the Soldiers of the Holy Cross. You are welcome to send aid and soldiers to help whoever you wish.

OOC: i realize how common they are :D My country just recently turned democratic, and my nation is a warring state, so i guessed a civil war would be better than elections :)

OOC: Baisically, i want the Soldiers of the Holy Cross to win after a long and biter struggle, becaue eventually al the people will be so sick of the war they will join the soldiers of god, because at least they can commit atrocities in the name of a higher being who they think supports them

Three C-130 Starlifters landed in the Lightning Starian Capital's main airport, civillian traffic being forecd to close down as a Squadron of V-X202 Fighter Bombers cleared the airspace.
the Cargo Planes began unloading munitions and artillery onto the runway, when Lightning Starians began to approach the planes.
the unloaders were wary, and unholstered their SigSauers.

High King Alicia leaned back in her chair, feet propped on the wide desk, reading a random book that she dredged out of the library accumulated by generations of royals. The 'net crystal flickered at times, its three-dimensional projection running in a 'screen saver' mode. The apartment was small by most standards, and furnished in such a way that a chace visitor would have mistaken it for anything but the residence of a king.

"Ser, we have a problem," the face of J. W. Gibbs appeared on the trid projection. Alicia fell out of the chair with a startled cry.

"Jeez, don't do that," the High King muttered, getting up and rubbing a sore spot on her posterior.

"My apologies. There's a revolution in the Lightning Star. I thought you should know," the Consul-General said without any expression.

"Why do we care, Gibbs?" Alicia asked, sitting back into her chair and bringing up more mid-air projections with information about the Lightning Star. "Oh, damn," she muttered, seeing the recent relations between Weyr and the former empire.

"Yes, the Sakuras," Gibbs nodded grimly.

"Did they have time to build any?" Alicia asked.

"We don't know," the consul-general sighed. "It'll be a massacre if they use them, though. I believe you saw the archive memories?"

"Yes," Alicia said, thinking.

The original Sakura was deployed over thirty years ago, towards the end of the Southport Insurrection. The matter was that
the Sakura ended the insurrection by demolishing several key cities and killing tens of thousands of armed and unarmed men, women, and children. That memory never fully faded.

In more recent times, Alicia remembered, captain Fear could have demolished every single installation in Germania Superior with her trio of ships. She chose to hold back and get slaughtered rather than become a second Butcher of Southport.

"Ser Alicia, we have to do something," Gibbs said, bringing Weyr's High King back to the here and now.

"Do we have assets in the Lightning Star?"

"I'll have to check."

"Do so. I'll contact Gerard and Markowitz about a possible deployment. What's the status on the Akira?" Alicia inquired. The Akira sky-battleship would be a decisive factor in an armed conflict. The trouble was, she didn't really know who should receive Weyr's support.

"Two months, at best," Gibbs shrugged. "Alchemist Leyina says they're putting in the weapon systems now. I'll check with my contacts and get back to you."

"Right, thanks for telling me," Alicia nodded as Gibbs' face vanished, to be replaced by a blank pale-green projection image.

<Sky Marshall office, Wye Int'l Skyport>

"Right," Sky Marshall Gerard Storm muttered, shutting of his 'net crystal. Thanks to the thick glass panes to his office, he did not have to listen to the sounds of heavy construction equipment that ran all day long in the Skydock naval yards.

Five years of construction had the Akira nearly ready for service, but it would take some time before everything was ready. Crewmembers were already training onboard as systems were brought online one by one. After several years of immersion training sims and excursuses, they were ready for nearly anything, although nothing could fully simulate the actual experience of being onboard a skyship.

Special skydocks had to be constructed for building and servicing the massive Akira and top-secret Belthazar ships, which were each nearly a kilometer in length. Now, the projects were nearing completion.

Gerard picked up the phone, and began contacting each of the eight captains who were in charge of the eight still-working Sakuras. Blackbird and Subaru were still under repairs, and would not be dispatched anywhere for another few weeks.

In the Black Army Capital of Norvington

Paul knew what he was here to do. He would knock our the Black Army leaders before they could become oo much of a problem to gods plan. When he walked past the guards, they just nodded. So many people were coming in here to join the army, they thought he couldnt be any different. They were dead wrong. As he got into line, a 19 year old infront of him asked "Hey, what are you gonna join? I think the Shock Troopers look cool m'self, but i have to go through regular training to join them..." he said. "Hmm, i guess ill join the AirFleet, ive never flown before" said Paul, trying to fit in. "Cool." said the 19 year old, then turned to the front. There were 5 lines, each maybe 100 people long. At the end of each line was a fairly high ranking offical. But that was not what he was looking for. Direclty above him was where the Emperor would be seeted. Once he reached the middle of the line, he open his coat, pulled a wire, and exploded.

The terrorist attack killed 247 people, and ounded 321 more. Unfortunatly for him, the Emperor wasnt in his office, he was in the gardens. He did manage to kill the Admiral of the Imperial AirFLeet, though.

With that kind of fire power, the Black Army is sure to win!

The Holy Empire of Talaax is willing to support The Soldiers of the Holy Cross. We can provide military advisors, weapons, ammunition, food or medical supplies and perhaps combat troops to aid our Christian brothers in their fight for God. If the SHC can give us coordinates for weapons and supply drops we will begin sending them immediately.

Should you require advisors or combat troops the Talaaxian Intelligence Service is readying it's 1st Infantry Division for deployment and preparing to set up the proper infrastructure for supporting the SHC and any Talaaxian troops that are deployed.

In the Republican AirFleet Construction Yards

The President was worried. Would this weapon be enough? Even though they had superio technology, the Enemy outnumbered them in all ways but one, 90% of the AirFleet was still in Republican hands. This also meant the Sakura Class Airship they were just about to finish. They had decided to build it in the secret cave base on Thunderbrook Island. It was the most fortified posistion in the country. No Army had breached it before, and many had tried. "Sir, we just finished the last touch, the ship is ready!" said an Lieutenant as he was running up the corridor. "Excelent," replied the president. "Deploy the R.A.S. Flying Freedom Imediatly.

Reports of C-130s and large private boats leaving Angola were confirmed earlier. It would appear that the CMB is taking up the call.


Also approximately 200,000 CMB members from Mississippian Egypt and 20,000 from Libya have departed for Lightning Star (Libya has 500,000, but they are busy with the secession crisis)

270,000 CMB paramilitaries, armed with OICW, XM8s, MP5s, Stingers, Milans, and other large amounts of military grade rifles. Most of the paramilitaries from Angola are ex or current reservists, the ones from Libya are mostly ex-CM army special forces. The ones from Egypt are mostly ex-regular army, ex-naval special forces, ex-reserves, and ex-law enforcement.

Felben has proclaimed, "We will not rest until the banner of the CMB flies from every White Christian nation in the world. Lightning Star will be the first step on our global crusade! God Is Great!"

He was certainly better than anything the Republican AirFleet could sned at them. Under his command he only had 17 Ragnarok 8's, 4Highwinds, and one Alexandria Class battleship, but his Alexandria was the Alexandira. It was the I.A.S. Alexandria Flagship of the Imperial AirFleet and 10 times as powerful, and 3 times as large, in terms of capacity and actual size, as the regular Alexandria Class Battleships. Nothing could destroy it! As the Admiral Thoguht to himself about the power of his fleet, they were inchin ver closer to the town of Nali, were the Sakuras were being kept. Of course, Stukov had no idea they were there...

In the 1984 january-november civil war where Curtis Fabus and the whites came to power. 4 super elite white Parachute Divisions smashed 38 black and liberal white divisions (some armored and mechanized) that had basically never seen combat against any enemy that was actually able to shoot back (all they did was roam the streets and rape women and kill children) White youths would throw rocks and their tanks and then get machine gunned down.

Now in our colonies it is CM forces that do the machine gunning, and the other races that do the rock throwing, the tables have turned... (Evil laugh)

Note that the air force pretty much sided against the white parachute units when the civil war started and thus the parachute units had little firepower, but they used stingers and SA-17s to essentially ground the air force by destroying over 4,000 planes and 8,000 helicopters in a 1 month period.

As the Vexian C-130's finished unloading their weapons for the grateful Red Army soldiers who had approached, the Vexian Crewmembers receieved a long-distance phonecall on their planes.
"Looks like the enemies are getting more outside help than expected. in 6 hours, another 3 C-130's will be arriving- this time packed to the ailerons with tanks. We're hoping it'll be enough, but we don't think that even if we sent 30 C-130's every 6 hours that it would be enough to stop this attack. Your orders are to pull out as soon as possible- even the observers-leave the weapons behind."
in 30 minutes, the Observers rushed back to the C-130;s, and they were soon taking off.
What had been planned to be an escalating conflict would recieve minimal support at best now.

OOC: Wow, those guys must have been PRETTY good with stingers. Oh, and you know that while all the armies (except for the SoTH) have black soldiers in them, the black Army is called the black army because black is the color of the Emperors Shock Corp.

OOC: The SoTH and the Seperatist hate each other because the SoTH is Christian and the Speratists are Muslim.

The sound of the call to morning Prayer echoed throughout the streets. Most of the people in the city stopped what they were doing, unroled their prayer mats, and began to pray. The people who couldnt prayed to allah for Forgiveness. After teh prayer service, it went back to normal.Asnormal as a city of 4 million people in the middle of a war could be. Tanks would sometimes drive down the streets. Platoons of soldiers walked down the sidewalks to and from the many barracks', and the temporary Emir watched the city go about its buisiness. After watching for around 20 minutes, he buzzed his secretary. "HAve you sent the telegram to Washibar?" he asked. "I just did sir." She replied. " Would you like your mornign Japati now, sir?" she asked.
He thought about it for a moment. "Sure, why not. And can i have the coffee and the paper too?"
"No problem."

The Lightning Star is currently in the middle of civil war (of course). We are heavily outnumbered and if you could surround the middle island of Thunderbrook (our island) and guard it from sea (and air-attacks if you have AA-Guns) it would be of great ehlp.

Pacing the floor in deep-pensive thought General Krisztia'n quickly formulates a plan.

Send 2 million ground troops to aid the black army. Make sure they have the new sceculir chips enbedded into their palms. Advice each commanding officer that they are to do anything that is required of them until the v-contract is signed by the Lightning Stars President. Upon singage tell them to be prepared to attack from the inside. Send each Rogue Commander with 7 grams of ICUS (enough to build a chemical cloud large enough to cover a 170 mile area) that will be detinated in the midst of the Black army upon my command! Make sure each soldier we send is immuned to ICUS by the injection of CATHERINEx8 before they are sent.

Also this uprising in the west(I believe) sounds worth investigating... send a delegation and see what can be done... if we can successfully set up a puppet government on the border it would be a great way to keep our new little President in check!

On Board the R.A.S. Flying Freedom

"Sir!" said a radar control man to the Admiral of the Republican Airfleet, Roberto Miguel. "We have spotted 21 AirShips approaching the vicinity. One of them is the I.A.S. Alexandria!. "Hmmm." said the Admiral,"the Alexandria. This will be the real test for us. We're going in. and i mean just us, the Flying Freedom." "What? Ohhhh.. i see" said the Ships captain. "Full speed ahead!"


The enemy fleet came into view of the ship. "Cannons, on-line." Said the ships computer. They had modified the ships abit. The Weyrians had a different culture, so some of their designs were a bit confusing. They had also decided to add some of thir small guns, jsut to add a bit more fire-power. "Shall we engage?" It asked. "Yes," said Adm. Miguel. "fire at will." All of a sudden, the ships guns became ablaze. Thousands of rounds of ammunition flew into the Enemy ships. Within minutes more than 15 of the ships were downed. The only ship that seemed to be able to damage the ship was the Alexandria, and even then it wasnt very effective. "Aim all guns at the Alexandria. I repeat, aim all guns at the Alexandria." Within minutes, the Alexandria burst into flames and fell into the sea. The rest of the AirFleet soon followed. The Flying Freedom lost 4 men, while the Imperial AirFleet lost 16,000.

A roar is heard as Terracostes zoom across the sky, heading towards Lightning Star, along with dropships and fighters/bombers. Destroyers, cruisers, Endoplanes, and all manner of ships speed through the water. Submarines jet underneath it.

In order to aid the Black army, I am sending 2 million more ground troops to help them put the emperor back in power.

Akbar was riding in a Humvee, patrolling the desert to see if any of the Christian Scum would attack. He despised them. They were cruel. He didnt havea problem with most christians, but these were evil. They must worship the devil. How else could they do such attrocities? It didnt matter. It was his job to shoot them all, nothing more, nothing less. All of a sudden he saw a large amount of soldiers drop out of the skies. He knew they were the enemy because the Emir didnt tell them of any paradrops. "Radio command, i repeat, radio command. We have a large force of Enemy soldiers paradroping on our posistion". He said as he fired his .50 Callibur MAchine gun into the air. Within 10 minutes, he and his comrades had shot down at least 100 men, but they were outnumbered. Slimestoria: You have 8 million people having 2 million soldiers is a GODMOD. And is hereby ignored. That would be 25% of your population. Probably your entire male population age 18-30. This is highly unrealistic and would leave your country unprotected and your economy in ruin. The highest amount of troops that any one nation can field is 5% of their total population and that can only be done for short periods of time. For you that would be 400,000 troops. So I launch the IGNORE Cannon at this GODMODDER.

The southern Part of Stormridge Island(the far right one).

The Imperial Forces were fighting like mad-men. There were maybe 3,000,000 soldiers, all fairly well-well trained men, attacking maybe 750,000 Soldiers of the Holy Cross. The SoTHC fought well, but the onslaught of numbers cut them down. Any soldiers that tried to surrender were shot on sight. Once the soldiers reached the Slave divisions the fight go a wee it tougher, but they still fought on. Jumping over trenches, charging over open fields, it was an attack reminiscent of the Blitzkreig Air Planes Roared over head, bombing SoTHC soldiers and THR soldiers alike. By the end of the day, nearl 3/4 of the enemy territory had fallen into Imperial hands. Nearly 300,000 Imperial Soldiers were dead, but they killed nearly twice their number.

Secret Fortress in the mountains above the Town of Nali

"Sir, we have recieved word that a fleet of Terracostes is approachingand bombing the Island! We think they'll begin fightning with the Morathanians soon." said one of the Presidents aides. "Blast! Arm the defence system. Get all guns operational! I want 30 Ragnaroks, 5 Alexandrias and one of the new Sakuras deployed to the Area as well." He ordered. "Yessir!" Came the reply.


All throughout the Islands holes started opening in the ground. From them came Missile defence turrets, and they all started firing in the Terracostes Direction. Such Turrets also came out of the Mountains and cities. Airships started flying out from different entrances to the mountains, all flying towards the same direction. Missiles were also launched. The Entire Island had seemingly turned into a fortress. The system had been under construction for as long as the country was a country. Costing billions and billions of dollars, it had finally paid off. The Island could hold out against the Armies of Hell itself.

OOC: No one, but the Red Army knows of this places existance, it i owuld be near impossible to detect it. Ever time one exit is used, its destroyed and they build another one somewhere else. The base is situated in one place but its tunels go all throughout the mountains of Thunderbrook (which is about 70% of the Island). Oh, and your forces have to deal with Morathanias Defence of my island( they have a bunch of ships surrounding it)

The Red Army is going to send in 30 more ragnarok 8's,3 more alexandrias and another Sakura...jsut to be safe. Those aso have fighter drones.

But the Terracostes, up to now, have only launched one missile! More railguns launch, as 250 Endoplanes all launch 5 cruise missiles, one by one, towards the coast. The Railguns launch more rounds, as the Terracostes finally rear into battle. Five more railguns launch, each with the capabilities to destroy ships. Smaller turreted railguns report, as transports attempt to reach the shore wiht cover from the Terracostes and ships. Also, on each wing is a 60 MM Chaingun. Should the huge wave reach the shore, all the divisions of artillery, tanks, infantry, and fast attack vehicles would swarm the shore, covering fire still coming from the Terracostes and ships.

Far above in space, sattelites begin to target key points of the island, as thick, heavy lead pipes coated in ceramics are launched. Should they reach the ground, they would create a huge explosion on the island. After these follow missiles, nuclear, biological, chemical, and conventional. The majority are large enough for a 50MT warhead. A total of 12 missiles are released.

Th Burning husks of Airships falling from the skies was a common site, and planes fell like flies. The constant screeching of missiles filled the air. Eventualy, the Lightning Starian forces had to fall back, but not without a long and bitter battle. They fell back a few miles behind, where they were to meet up with the rest of the fleet. Back on the shore, the JJRian forces started to land, but they encountered fierce resistance from the defence turrets, and around 10 men ran out of each of them to engage in battle.

Bombers zoomed over the scene, and laser targetting settled on the turrets, as armor-piercing bunker busters fling towards them. In the atmosphere, the missiles and pipes continue to plummet towards earth. Back on Earth, Railgun fire helps the bunker busters, as machineguns mounted on the tanks are used, in combination with the infantry and the dropship chainguns attack the enemy troops. Heavy laser turrets and concentrated lasers slice at the drone ranks, as Phalanx systems send streams off bullets at the swarming foes. The Railguns continue to thud as Anti-Air Missiles fly upwards, and Sidewinders are released in huge volleys from Dogfighters and helicopters.

After all the missiles had hit, the soldiers started coming out. The Entire Island was a tunnel Network. 4 million soldiers came above, which includes tanks, AA-guns, and troop transports, as wellas a large manner of vehicles. The other 150 Airships appeared too, going at full speed towards the terracostes. Thousands of Drones came out of them. Even more missiles started launching from the Turrets. This battle wasnt over yet.

From the Anti-air Fighters, thousands of anti-air missiles slice towards the Shakuras, as the five "Ship-burster" railguns launched a salvo of heavy depleted uranium shells from 300 mm railguns at said leading ship. This blow was meant to destroy the capital ship, as to instill fear in the enemy ranks. More cruise missiles streak across the water and then ground to attack buildings farther along the coast. Utilizing the mine-launchers on the Super-dreadnoughts, mines are tossed into the city, using them like mortars. 20 small drone ships, filled with a conglomerate of conventional explosives, fling themselves at buildings and units, a flying at breakneck speeds. Chemical-launched 10" flak cannons, mounted on the Terracostes, interrupted the silence, strips of metal and steel pellets ripped forward, capable of slicing down most units and some tanks, and even doing considerable damage to buildings, and of course jamming and damaging some of the barrels of large cannons.

OOC: Its mostly a stalmate, but theres a batle between JJR and the red Army. I had to lower your forces to 400k or else yod be ignored. You naations to small to send in 3 million soldiers.

Inside the Red Armies Secret Base

The Alarm sirens were ringing like mad. Nearly 3/5s of the base had been destroyed. The Preident was looking at the news reels, seeing the destruction of his island."Sir, we have to evacuate!" said a soldier. "The whole place is fallin down! Most of the army's been destroyed! We have to look for safety among our allies!" The President just stood there. "Sir?"
"Im not going." the President Responded.
"Your...not?"
"Thats right. If my people are doomed to die, i will join them. Go, you have a future amoung our allies. I do not."
"Sir!"
"Begone!" Yelled the President, and then the Soldier was forced out of the room.
Once the base was evacuated, the President sat down at the weapons control system and began firing. 30 minutes later the rest of the Base colapsed, with him inside.

All over the Island of Thunderbrook

Once the news had reached them that the President was dead, the soliers surrendered in droves. Over 30 million Red Army citizens, military and Civilian, had died that day. The cities, at least the ones that were left, were quick to surrender. The Soldiers surrendered too. They came at the JJR forces with white flags and surrendered their weapons. The Airships also stopped firing and surrenedered. The REd Army was no more.

Attacks from the ships ceased, as troops came in and dismantled the AA guns and weapons, before loading them into some of the empty ship bays on the carriers and Terracostes, before reloading the planes. As more transports finally arrived from the beacon, along with more military, a group of tranports landed on the coast, releasing hazmat and medical teams. Instantly, they set to the citizens of the now beaten Red Army.

Well it looks like the Black Army will be the winner of this war...

Meanwhile, in the Capital of the Seperatist movement in the City of Kairabad

Missiles rained into the city. Entire blocks were ablaze, and over 2 million civilians were dead. The Soldiers defending the city fought bravely but didnt have a chance. Soldiers of the Holy Cross were storming the City, killing every man, woman, and child they saw. Within 3 hours the city had fallen. The SoTHC had defeated the Seperatists, killing nearly 17 million of their citizens, and sending the remaining 3 million to concentration camps. Their ranks had risen from 4 million soldiers to 8, seeing how so much death and destruction was going on, people sought a way to be forgived for their sins and have a reason, even if it wasnt a legitamit one, to kill their enemies.

They will deploy near the capital in order to offer assistance to the people of The Lightning Star. As always, these troops are -not- there to assist any faction in the war.

As more ships begin to gather, the Shakuras' were commandeered, and the plans were drawn out for war. From twenty of the new Terracostes, huge pieces of artillery were set up and rolled to the coast, three from each for a total of 60 pieces of artillery, with an anti-air and ground escort. Each was an even larger railgun, 250mm each. They were loaded with heavy shells, each with explosive and air-burst shrapnel tips. Immediatly, they begin firing, launching shells all the way to the other island. Closer to the middle of the island, a huge barge wasbeign filled with old bullets and shells, including distorted railgun shells, and some unexploded missiles. Once halfway filled with recycled weapons, barrels of explosives were loaded into it, before having more old bullets and the like poured on top, and the barge was closed, locked, and hooked up to a drone ship, and they slapped chunks of broken tank armor all over the ship, before activating the drone...

The Imperial Capital of Norvington

The Emperor stood on the balcony of the Presidential Palace. "People of the Empire, i bring both good and bad news!" he said. The crowds cheered. "The Enemy in the West, the Capitalist Fools, the Red Army, Has been destroyed!" The Crowd went wild. "Also, the Radical Islamic Terrorists in the Far west, those who wished to leave our fair and great nation, the Speratists, have also been crushed!" The crowd went even MORE wild! "Unfortunatly, they have been destroyed by an even greater menace, the radical Sons of the Holy Cross." The crowd went silent. "Yes, i know. It is frightening, but during these times, we must stand vigilant!" he said, and the crowd went wild again. Unfortunatly, that Meant that they could hear or see the that their Emperor had been shot by a silenced sniper rifle.

The Former Imperial Capital Of Norvington

With the Emperor Dead, whats left of the Once Grand Empire has rallied behind the banner of the SoTHC. The Entire Nation is willfully backing the SoTHC and the Pope Leo II, and and End to the Civil War has arrived. Over 60 million people have perished during this bloody civil war whcih has only lasted 3 months. THe Majority of deaths was caused the JJRs WMD's.

"Damn," Lord Draconis swore as he surveyed the map of Lightning Star. Though the fould forces of democracy had been crushed, chrisitan radicals were capturing key cities. He hated christian radicals, but the dark lord of Akaton realised that declaring war on christianity would cause a terrorist holy war against Akaton. Reluctantly, he wrote the order to pull his forces from Lightning Star.

The Evil Empire of Akaton regretfully informs the Black Army that we must withdraw our support from Lightning Star. We support your cause, but the risk to Akaton's safety is too great to continue the war.

Three thousand miles away, General Muhammed, commanding officer of Akaton's 3rd airfoce stationed in Lightning Star read the orders. He could hardly beleive his eyes, they couldn't fall back now, not in his moment of triumph. He was a devout muslim, a rare thing in Akaton, and hated christianity more than anything. Throwing the orders in a shredder, he resolved to destroy the christian radicals, even if it meant treason.

Deep in Holy Cross territory, the citizens of the nation were in church. In a particularly magnificent cathedral, the people were listening intently to the priest reading something from the bible. The priest looked out over the crowd with a contented smile, nothing was more beautiful to him than thousands of pious christians united in prayer. In the distance, he heard a air raid siren. Something was very wrong, he thought, an air raid drill wasn't schedueled today. He said to the congregation, "Let us pray for the safety of our nation". Halfway through the first prayer, his words were drowned out by the roar of jet engines. He looked up just in time to see a missile smash through the stained glass window. "Deliver us from Evi..." He was cut short as the missile exploded, instantly burning the flesh from his bones and blasting the glass from the windows.

Above, the rebel air wings loyal to General Muhammed engaged in unrestricted bombings of civilian targets. The city had been taken completely by surprise. Only 5 fighters had been destroyed by limited AA guns defending the civilian areas of the city. The aerospace fighters streaked away towards Black Army airspace. Sitting alone in his command center, General Muhammed thought to himself that though this war was ending, his war had only just begun. He was a man without a home. He faced the death penalty if he returned to Akaton. Fate, it seemed, had destined him to be a lone fighter in a holy war.

Far in space, the sattelites had been restocked, with a larger variety of air-blast, conventional, and nuclear missiles. Nothing was launched yet, but they were aimed.

OOC: Actually, if I leave, I lose.

The Evil Empire of Akaton will immediately pull all loyal military forces from The Lightning Star. However, General Muhammed is still at large, and continues his reign of terror. We have sent a special forces assassain to infiltrate his terrorist organization and carry out his death sentence.

Special Agent 99 adjusted the turban and robes that made up his disguise. Approaching the remote encampment of General Muhammed, he saw a pair of guards with AK-47s protecting the entrance. This was the hard part. He walked up to one of the guards, introducing himself as Ibrahim al Fadir, a radical willing to join the cause. The guards searched him, and finding no weapons, they let him in. He did it, he had infiltrated the terrorist organization. Walking to the recruitment tent, he officially joined the organization. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his target, General Muhammed, surrounded by his guards. When the time was right, he would kill General Muhammed and escape in one of the fighters stolen from Akaton. For now, he would sit and wait, learning all he could about the terrorists.

Eight magi'i stood in a rough circle around what appeared to be a rough spire with wires going out to a series of other mishaped cylinders. Tehy nodded to each other. A pair of alchemists flicked on a large switch. The Magi'i closed their eyes, feeling the etheric flows. It had never been attempted before -- the construction of a sub-etheric field that would protect an area from destruction. it appeared as though nothing happened. As long as our citizens, Including the pope, can seek refuge there and its only until the end of the war, the Pope has decided to agree.

The barge and Terracostes continue to push into the ranks, toward the island's main camp for the army. As soon as it reached it's goal, it would turn downward sharply as the Terracostes pulled away and begin to attack with all of their weapons, striking away at every enemy within range. Back on the front lines, the tanks continues to use their machine and chainguns to mow down oncoming enemies, while using the main weapons on the enemy buildings.

Slowly, tentatively at first, the Weyrean Mark III tanks began to move through the rubble, accompanied by infantry who marked out locations for work by logistics personnel. Another corps was being requested, to establish checkpoints and a perimeter around the city of Norvington. It would take two weeks to get a clear idea of the problems, and another week or so to get the basic utilities online.

There was surprisingly little resistance, except from die-hard imperial or republican guard who refused to surrended. For the time being, a curfew was established, although weapons were not confiscated but rather registered.

Around 30 or so Ragnarok 8s were going at 500 mph. They only way they managed to do this was to drop all the Weapons and Armor. But they didnt need the Armor. All they needed were the ships. As they approached the JJRian lines, around 20 of them were shot down. The Other 10 rammed into the Oncoming forces, creating giant craters, and an explosion so large and a light so blinding it seemed that the SoTHC had used nuclear weapons. All it was though were Fine TLS Airships running into the JJRian army at full speed.

As the ships collided into the ground, the explosions knocked back the front lines. Tanks were crushed, infantry vaporized, etc. The barge tilted downwards, the drones breaking off to attack other things, as the barge slammed downwards into the middle of the enemy base camp.

The Pope is still trying to find a peaceful way to end this conflict. We would liek to Ask JJR on what terms they would cease fighting, and if we can achieve this.

Guerillas still had to be flushed out of the old sewers, but the Weyrean High Guard was expert at city fighting from years of clan warfare on and beneath the streets of Wye and Southport, so the guerillas were little more than thorns trying to hurt an elephant.

Normalicy is returning to the city, where Weyrean alchemists and personnel are assisting with the clearing of rubble and restoration of vital services. Thanks to the support of "the Pope", leader of the local religious movement, opposition to the Weyrean forces has thus far been minor,. With the elimination of a major guerilla base deep beneath Norvington's streets, and with the sealing of major entrances and routes into the city, it appears that the city is now securely in Weyrean hands.

A large influx of refugees has brought a crisis to the city, with logistics personnel struggling to accomodate the people fleeing the destruction. Fears of guerillas and hostile foreign militants entering the city has led to a curfew and a massive drive of registring all weapons and persons residing in the city. While nearly a million persons have been evacuated via a growing fleet of skyplanes, the camps and the city are still suffering from overcrowding.

Outside, chaos still rages, and Weyrean humanitarian workers are forced to travel with military escort. So far, nearly four thousand men and women of all races and ages have given their lives for this cause.

Closer to home, the expenses of the Lightning Star war have sparked a debate in the High Council over withdrawal. High king Alicia li'Wye, however, has thus far managed to persuade the people and the High Council that this struggle can not be ended by Weyrean withdrawal. A request for monetary aid has been issued to foreign governments and organizations, however.

We are an accepting people, we are not racist like other Christian states, and we allow anybody to be christian! The base was in flames. Thousands had either been killed or wounded, and the Soldiers od JJR were approaching the Camp extremely Rapidly. The Commanding Officer had baisically 2 choices, surrender or die. The General Knew of TLS's history, too many times had foreign powers thought that they could conquer their land. He Choose the choice to fight to the death. That end came swiftly and strongly.

"SIR. I do not believe you understand me. We've got bad guys swarming in from all directions across this area. It's going to be nigh-on-impossible to conquer the Green Zone." General Harris said calmly on the cruiser Unity.

"We are rushing the reinforcements, General." Beregovoy, the Shalrirorchian Defense Secretary, said. "You have advanced technology, and you have air support. We have faith that you will be able to break the Lightning Star forces long enough to gain territory and allow us to negotiate from a position of relative strength."

"Sir." replied Harris, "With all due respect, these people are warriors born! Technology can only carry you so far." The general had to shout these last words as a massive transport Chinook roared overhead, carrying a Crusader MBT (Main Battle Tank) to the beachfront. "But I will try my best."

Already over 2 million of the 2.4 million soldiers stationed on the island were dead or captured. The last 400,000 were in the heavily defended Northen Mountain Pass region of The Thunder Passes.

And then the combat commenced, Shalrirorchian assault rifle fire stitching the air. There was screaming, explosions, a symphony of surf and flame as the Marines fought to maintain their position long enough for the tanks to form up and counterattack. Many fell there, the powerful Shock-Trooper weapons piercing their body armor.

The Marines were stretched to the breaking point, but Carlisle appeared in the breach. Pistol in hand, he led the assault, and was wounded. But the normally placid Shalrirorchians, who were not necessarily known for their warrior history, fought like demons that day. Half of the division fell as casualties.

After piercing, the metal bends to the point where it presses a contact, exploding and releasing Heavy Water into the area. Unfortunatly for them, the Shalrirorchians were re-inforced. Napalm and fire rained upon the shock troopers, yet they still fought on. They were eventually all killed, but they died fighting, not one soldier was found with a bullet in his back.

The rest of the artillery pulls back, ten of the sixty becoming crippled, as 5 railguns are loaded with nuclear tips. One will fire before the others, creating a slight air-burst affect. After a few final shots, the Artillery fell silent. All the men had been killed, either by the explosion or the extreme radiation afterwards. On the Islands, millions lay dead in the streets. Fighter squadrons try to scrambl, but the too are brought down by artillery fire. meanwhile of the Island of East Washibar, even more transportation targets are destroyed. The Island cannot be re-inforced, and all the men on the Island are certainly doomed. Unfortunatly for the attackers, how ever, 70% of the islands defenders are shock Troops. The rest are the Fanatical Sons of the Holy Cross, equally brave but a bit under equiped.

A Hazmat team sweeps into the pass, and artillery is loaded onto the tops of carriers, shooting at the other islands on the time. They're heading for the capital island, moving up the side of it. The Terracostes, carriers, ectoplanes, bombers, and artillery all attack up the side of the island, Chainguns on the transports and drone ships attacking other fliers.

The terrorist leader, General Muhammed watched on a primitive tactical interface, as foreign nations picked away at his enemy. Smiling, he thought of the irony of the situation. The infidel Sons of the Holy Cross were being slaughtered by other infidels! They would all see his power soon. His forces were at an all time strength, and could now make their move. The Shalrirorchian forces were about to get some help. Tho only thing holding them back was the horde of christian militants. Nothing a few dozen truck bombs couldn't fix. This called for a news broadcast.

He thought the time was right to kill the terrorist leader, if he died during a broadcast, there would be no doubt that justice had been served. Around the perimeter of the camp, and in the fuel stores and armory, Special Agent 99 had hidden several remote detonated explosives. When set off, the guards would suspect an attack, leaving thier leader to defend the camp. In the confusion, he would strike.

General Muhammed had just begun his threatening broadcast, explosions rang out across the compound. The General swore as he watched the armory reduced to burnign rubble. As the guards rushed to defeat the perimeter, Special Agent 99 crept into the broadcast station. In the middle of describing the truck bombings that would soon take place, the assassain jumped in front of the General and shot him. "Ahhh!" General Muhammed screamed in pain. "You're too late, the infidels will be crushed! ALLAH AKBAR!" Special Agent 99 finished him off with a shot to the head. Though the truckbombings would still take place, they would be the last.

Several guards had heard the gunfire in the broadcast station. They arrived to find their leader shot ot death, and a time bomb with three seconds left. The station was nearly leveled, covering the assassain's escape to the airfield. As he got into a fighter, more guards came running at him. Drones weave in front of the missiles, distracting the missiles before flying in front of shells, blocking most of the shells. Another Terracoste is shot down, before the artillery begins pounding the artillery and AA guns. Lasers aim at the barrels of the guns, with massive heat, capable of melting them. One of the Terracoste's nose slides upwards, revealing a huge barrel. From the back of it, a huge flash of light breaks through the air, blinding most, before a huge wave of heat destroys some of the drones, and makes everyone in a ship feel like they're in an oven, and streams of particles begin to stream from the barrel with the heat, becoming like thousands of tiny bullets, capable of ripping through most metals, now that they've been heated. A sonic boom rips the air as the particles speed through the air. After a few seconds of this barrage, the nose of the ship closes again, and chemical-launch 10" flak cannons start unloading the shot and slices of metal, possibly damaged and jamming the guns.

The ectoplanes launch cruise missiles at the sabetuer ships, as a destroyer explodes in the center, snaps, and sinks. More lasers slice and heat at the turrets that are left, as the transports release their troops and tanks and assault vehicles, as multiple transport vehicles get the same treatment as the barge, only smaller. A total of fifteen of these transport-bombs are made, with a sphere of lead set in the center with twenty pounds of pure plutonium. in a second sphere around it filled with uranium inside one of them. The units backs off to artillery range and start firing normal shells, as the drones surround the trucks as they speed forward.

The forces of Jangle Jangle Ridge continue their drive northwards, up the island of Stormridge.

In the city of Norvington, life goes on, protected by ever-present skyships and now four corps of High Guard. As the drive continues northwards, however, the question remains: will Jangle Jangle Ridge honor Weyrean neutrality?

For now, many are being evacuated into foreign lands, with nearly a million now residing in the Kingdom of Weyr.

Closer to home, the High Council has thus far supported the relief effort. It is hoped that more nations will assist Weyr in its humanitarian mission, although it thus far appears that the Kingdom is the only force not inerested in its own affairs and plots.

The Shalrirorchians began to fan out over the entire island.

It was not exactly the organized advance that they had intended to muster. There were many enemies to be fought, and the Shalrirorchians had to rely heavily on their air mobility to maneuver in countryside that had had its' transportation networks savaged by airstrikes. At some points, there was no opposition at all. At others, bullets rained down around the Shalrirorchians like a summer storm.

In territories already captured, the Shalrirorchian Engineers began to roll in 'dozers and MCVs (Mobile Construction Vehicles). They leveled sections of land and began to build outposts, bases, and air bases in record time. THIS is what Shalrirorchia was noted for...the industry and determination of its' people.

Their immediate concern was securing the entire island they were on. THEN....they could worry about the religious and imperial fanatics on the other territories. But not before.

OOC: Im bAAAAAAACCCCKKKK! Oh, and Weyr? The Island of East Washibar is the One Shalrirorchia is on. This island of Stormridge is the one with Norvington on it o_O.

The hail of shells pounding the shores had nearly obliterated all that was left of the Lightning Starian Defences. The soldiers that were left, and those were few and far between, retread to the Stronghold of Berry. It had walls 30 yards high, and had thousands of artillery guns, no mention a whole lotta AA posistions. There were quite a few soldiers armed with Stinger missile launchers as well. What was left of the TLSian AirForce, around 30 or so BlackHawk-esque Helicopters, Patrolled the city skies. Every man and Woman and child over 13 was given a weapon to fight. Those without weapons were told to take the ones from the soldiers who died. No one expected to survive the battle, but they would still fight. These foreigners had invaded their land, and they were gonna pay for every foot of land. They would pay in blood.

A few more dead Lightning Starians would futher the Great Emirs plans indeffinetly. The Lightning Starian Infidels would not deny the Great Emirate of Washibar for much longer. These upstart colonists had hindered the advance of the Emirate for too long, it was time that they ruined the Lightning Stars plans. "Sir," said one of his soldiers. This is intended to cause confusion and maybe even war between the FActions. If captured, the soldiers have the ability to desolve themselvs thanks to a special acid they have inserted into their bodies. Exactly 10 minutes after their death, the soldiers bodes rapidly desolve, leaving nothing but a weapon and their Uniform. These soldiers are masters of weapons and espionage.


The soldiers slowly advanced on the enemy positions and began to attack.

Over Stormridge Island

The planes had flown for hours. First, they had to re-route their course because of neutral forces occupying that land, then they had to wait over the sea until the perfect time to begin the mission. After they got to around 10 miles ur of Berry, the sky filled with the canopies of Washibarian Paratroopers droping onto the ground. They went virtually un-seen because the Lightning Starians were too afraid to leave their city.

Over 50,000 well trained Special Urban and tactical units were dropped.

The island of Stormridge had a large amount of natural resources, mainly Oil, Natural gas, Uranium, and mithril, as well as many other precious metals. It was believed that the precious metals were created during the reign of Emperor Cletus, when East Washibarian terrorists hijaked the Hal Space Stations, firing its lasers 4 times onto the Island in an attempt to pave the way for a quick Washibarian Victory. The terrorist attack may have failed, but now it had something that this later generation of Washibarians could use. Swiftly, the Washibarian forces took 7 uranium mines, 4 Mithril Mines, 7 gold mines, and 16 silver mines. They also took 3 gem mines and 17 Oil Wells, Their mission was to defend these posistionas at all costs until the transport vehicles had arrived. The soldiers are willing to give 10% of their inital findings to all sides EXCEPT for the Lightning Starians as a show of good will, and that the mines will stay in Washibarian hands even after the war is over.

The WAshibarians fought like mad, mowing down teh JJRIAn soldiers, but soon their artillery and numbers were just too much. The Rush of troops and exploding truck was too much for the defenders. In little less than 3 hours, over 4 million people lay dead, including the pope, who was at the front lines helping to heal the wounded. The city has surrendered.

Strangely enough, the Weyrean skyships did not open fire upon the advancing Jangle Jangle Ridge forces, but rather retreated.[[Anything else'd be strongly OOC-ish]]. At nearly four hundred kilometers per hour, the entire armada and the last of the refugees were hightailing it out of teh area. A communication went out to Shalrirorchian and JJR-ian forces:

"The Weyrean forces will be withdrawing from the region. We have no interest in starting a war, and as such the blood of millions will thus far permanently stained on the hands and the history of Jangle Jangle Ridge should they attack an effectively disarmed city."

"The Citadel will be brought online in five minutes," a PA system blared throughout the city. The Weyreans had no interest in fighting it out with anyone, so they installed their own brand of detterent as a precaution.

"Flux at 0.92 and holding," one of the technicians said in the local Weyrean military headqarters, whose location near the center of Norvington was not a coincidence.

In seconds the twenty-four high-powered Highlander-Leigh engines went to full power, shooting millions of thaums of energy into a shield emmiter placed at the heart of Norvington.

A flash of light brighter than the rising sun illuminated the area around the city, blinding everyone in vicinity. When it cleared, an azure-green dome was where Norvington should have been.

A communication was sent to all local combatants:

"Weyr will maintain its neutrality in this conflict. We are thus far only engaged in standard humanitarian aid to the people of the Lightning Star. We request that you do not attempt to take this city of Norvington by force."

The Shalrirorchian headquarters on their island (I need a name for this place, Lightning, what is it called?) was a highly efficient, highly-advanced place that had been nothing but grassland a few weeks prior.

The Engineers had gone and built the facility from the ground up. Built within view of the west coast, the General in charge of all operations in this campaign had a wonderful view of the sea. He loved the sea. When he retired, he would do so to a small, simple home where he could walk onto the beach every day and just listen to the sounds of wave, feel the spray of surf. Some of his men humorously suggested he ought to have been an admiral instead of an army general.

The recently promoted Lieutenant-General John Sharana, veteran of the Germania Superior incident, was now the CINCSF, Commander in Chief, Star Forces. It was his task to defend this place. Against the advice of his security detail, he had taken a full inspection tour around the island upon arrival.

There was some hostility here. The Shalrirorchians had, after all, invaded the native peoples.

But the General shook hands with the villagers and townsfolk of Lightning Star. He answered their questions, ordered that their needs be met at the expense of the Shalrirorchian military. He could see the distrust in their eyes, but quickly grew to admire them. And over the course of the next few weeks, in his own way, General Sharana continued to fortify his command...but he also worked to win the respect and trust of the inhabitants.

The Armed forces of Washibar are pulling out of the TLSian theater. Now that the TLS has been defeatedand this plce has become a battlefield solely for foreign nations, we see no need to continue our involvement. Our soldiers have taken 3 billion dollars worth of stuff.

The Shalrirorchian headquarters on their island (I need a name for this place, Lightning, what is it called?) was a highly efficient, highly-advanced place that had been nothing but grassland a few weeks prior.

The Engineers had gone and built the facility from the ground up. Built within view of the west coast, the General in charge of all operations in this campaign had a wonderful view of the sea. He loved the sea. When he retired, he would do so to a small, simple home where he could walk onto the beach every day and just listen to the sounds of wave, feel the spray of surf. Some of his men humorously suggested he ought to have been an admiral instead of an army general.

The recently promoted Lieutenant-General John Sharana, veteran of the Germania Superior incident, was now the CINCSF, Commander in Chief, Star Forces. It was his task to defend this place. Against the advice of his security detail, he had taken a full inspection tour around the island upon arrival.

There was some hostility here. The Shalrirorchians had, after all, invaded the native peoples.

But the General shook hands with the villagers and townsfolk of Lightning Star. He answered their questions, ordered that their needs be met at the expense of the Shalrirorchian military. He could see the distrust in their eyes, but quickly grew to admire them. And over the course of the next few weeks, in his own way, General Sharana continued to fortify his command...but he also worked to win the respect and trust of the inhabitants.

OOC: You are on the Island of East Washibar.

IC: The people were friendly to the Shalrirorchians. THe people on both sides remember the long and bitter battles on the Coast of GErmania Superior, but that was around 5 years ago (NS time). They were bound to have been conquered anyways. At least they got the more helpful invader. If Jangle Jangle Ridge had invaded, around 70% of the people on the Island would be dead. The people were kind to the Shalrirorchians, but not TOO kind. They gave them mas of he cities and stuff and told them where everything was. The really nice people fed them and even offered to take some oficers, and even a regular grunt, into their homes, but the normall people would just irect them to the local resturaunt or Bed and Breakfast. They got hug discounts, of course, and most of the time the bill was payed by the Shalrirorchian military, but they still charged them because, frankly, buisiness is buisiness.

On the other islands, however, living conditions were bleak. Magnificent cities with great citadels, remnanats of the Golden Age, had become shanty towns. only 20% of the people haad acess to water, and only 3% of the water was clean. The rollng fields that were once so full of life, were now deserts and wastelands. Underneath the sands you could find millions of dead bodies and suken cities. The only large city, was Norvington, and even that wasnt under TLSian control. Nothing was. Inside JJR's realm there was bleakness, under Shalrirorchia it was a bit liek it had always been, just a bit more degrading, and under Weyr, the city was fully operational, but it was swamped with Refugees.

The people of EAst Washibar would not let their already mostly barren island turn even MORE barren. THey had fashioned great cities out of the Desert, and they were steeped in history. They would not let them fall to the JJRian menace. TLSian militias, not aligned wit the government but rather allied to the Shalrirorchians, showed the Shalrirorchian Army the secrets of the Desert. The Militas were masters of the desert (Like the Fremen from Frank Heberts Dune) and they used guerilla tactics to fight the JJRians. The Militas numbered only 300,000 but they were only meant to slow down the invaders. The Shalrirorchianswould fight the battles, the Militias would weaken the Army of JJR.

Even though the Space Satellites and your artillery havent been deployed YET, once the fighting gets rough you most likely will.These people would rather die than sucum to your imperialist wishes!

The battleships slow to a halt, as railguns shells thud from the barrels, plane catapults fling jets into the air. Cruise missiles screech over the water, heading towards the coast(the red, middle island). From a Terracoste, a missile rips through the air, towards the nearest powerstation. Should it hit, it would slam into the main capacitor and shoot steel hooks and cables from the sides of the warhead, sending the massive current into the entire factory, melting the majority of it and at the least, completely shutting it down.

Far above in space, sattelites begin to target key points of the island, as thick, heavy lead pipes coated in ceramics are launched. Should they reach the ground, they would create a huge explosion on the island. After these follow missiles, nuclear, biological, chemical, and conventional. The majority are large enough for a 50MT warhead. A total of 12 missiles are released.

It was mass and utter destruction. Entire cities were up in flames. Millions of people had been gassed, and missiles rained death from the sky. Death was everywhere. After all the missiles had hit, the soldiers started coming out. The Entire Island was a tunnel Network. 4 million soldiers came above, which includes tanks, AA-guns, and troop transports, as wellas a large manner of vehicles. The other 150 Airships appeared too, going at full speed towards the terracostes. Thousands of Drones came out of them. Even more missiles started launching from the Turrets. This battle wasnt over yet

IC: The people of the Island of East Washibar are thankful that they did not have to suffer like the other Islands. But now theyre back where they started, a fledgling Democratic State...(at least thats what Shalrirorchia Said). On the other Islands, the people get back to work, re-building their great cities. The Island of Hoodlorn (the farthest left of the three small islands, the where all its inhabitants were killed), people have begun to re-settle the island. It will be many many years, even with the help of JJRian technology, until the Barren wastes go back to the rolling hills and green pastures of before this horrible, needless war.

Atricle 1:
A curfew shall be imposed for the duration of military presense within the city of Norvington. No citizen may be out of doors from sundown to sunrise without military or police escort.

The following areas shall be off limits to all persons without military or police supervision:

Weyreans had effectively operated the city by these rules since their taking over. Registration involved the taking of fingerprints and voice samples, which were encoded onto a chip card and used as proof of identity. Another set of records was sent to the main computers in the central military headquarters at Norvington.

Beyond basic weapons control and restricted access to the power stations and utility centers that Weyr rebuilt, the local populace was left to their own devices, with the assistance from Weryrean workers when related to the matter of construction. The good thing was that Wyrean companies were beginning to make inroads with investments to rebuild destroyed industries and centers, which took pressure off the overworked Expeditionary Corps.

The local government was simple in concept -- the city was divided geometrically, the number of representatives was determined by population, and of the council representatives half were selected via lottery and the other half were elected by popular vote. The whole thing was then tasked with running the city, and setting up something more permanent.
