I only used nukes because of the dreadnoughts, but if they are not there I don't need to use nukes, I'll think about it, but still prefer retconning the RP as I see your reasoning flawed behind it

I've no doubt you see our reasoning as flawed, but the problem is that if we retcon then you're not ignored and you're on our flagged list. I.E. we'll probably come across one another again (that isn't meant to be a threat, just a guess), so it might be better to go ahead and do it now.

I will probably do it, but retcon the whole thing about my President being captured, that will not stand.

The thing is, if you insist, you'll get your President back (it will be RPed out, but you'll get him back; we can't do anything to him without your permission). You could send in SpecOps to get him or negotiate a trade or something, but you'll get him back. I think his arrest was pretty brilliant and should stay in the RP....but that's just my opinion.

that acutally sounds good, Arrest him and we come in and negotiate or bust him Out (what we decide will be based on what happens in the RP).

I think I'll go along with this one.

Now, this is me speaking and I'm not the one with actual custody of your leader, but if Doujin follows his/SS'/Zoogie's (I think they brought it up) own rules then he'll have to have your permission for whatever happens. Just discuss it via tgrams or an OOC thread or something.

OOC: It appears to me that what you "super dreadnought" builders could use is a new London or Washington-style treaty that will limit the numbers of these vessels constructed as well as limiting the displacement, arms distribution, and weapons systems involved...a quick google search on "Battleship limits" or the "Five-Powers Treaty" or something of the sort will give you an idea of what is involved. Terms of the Five-Powers treaty (http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1355.html) (5PT).

The major powers of the world, before and after WWI, met to discuss the growing size of battleships and set limits on the numbers that could be held by any nation (in a ratio to the othe major powers). The treaties also allowed the nations to reduce the drive in power and weight of their vessels so that the arms race wouldn't spiral out of control (as yours so clearly has).

Just out of curiosity, what will happen to the other delegates on the ship... I had some people there... I sort of assumed they died from return fire from IDF...

You know, if that treaty was never signed.. who knows what could have happened

War might've started sooner...and the Iowa might be a larger and more heavily armed vessel.
