Hogsweatian Beach

"HOLY SHIT!" the SPARTAN yelled. He ran away fromwhere he was and took cover in a bunker and saw the missiles run right toward the two Hunters. He knew they had no chance. The Hunters looked up, and were in the process of raising their IFR Cannons when a giant fireball enveloped them, and vaporised the Hunters.

"Shit!" the Commodore cursed. "Comm officer, broadcast this message across the world on all open channels. Amplify the signal. NOW!"

"Aye, sir!" The Comm officer used all available technology in the cruiser to broadcast the SPARTANs message as far as the Cruiser could go.

"Comm officer! Get me the HMS Moscow!

"Aye sir!"

The Admiral stood and stared at the flight deck for a couple minutes and then broadcasted the orders to the Control Tower.

[code:1:f2ff3362e6]This is the Admiral. Commence Operation: Crusader[/code:1:f2ff3362e6]

In the Flight Control Tower, the Lt. Commander looked at the orders. "Okay, boys! Go out and do your stuff!" The Stealth Bombers took off from the flight deck to a specific position somewhere closer to Hogsweat, but still in the ocean, to rondezvous with the Stealth Fighters that will be accompining them.
========================
Rondezvous point

The Sea was relatively calm except for a few seagulls. A hammerhead shark swam by and ate a small fish that was just minding its own business. Suddenly, a disturbance started to scare everything away. The surface was broken and a giant Submarine, The Flying Fish, surfaced above the water. It was a menacing sight. One of the largest submarines ever created, it was not something you could take on an everyday mission. The deck of the Submarine started to unfold, and five minutes later, the deck was the size of a small aircraft carrier. Only one plane could be launched at a time. So after a half an hour, five F=117B-8 Stealth Fighters were in the air, and five minutes later, they rondezvoued with the bombers, and headed off to the capitol.

The Flying Fish accomplished its mission, folded up its flight deck, and submerged to link back up with the blockade.

Hogsweatian Beach

The other Hunters looked at their dead comrades and looked back up at the choppers. THe aimed their IFR cannons at the choppers and fired. A large explosion was heard, as one of the Scorpion Tanks was blown to pieces when a volley of missles hit it. The SPARTAN rocketeers (I love that word) aimed their rocket launchers at the helo's and fired the two rockets in the magazine and reloaded. Most of the bullets richoched of the SPARTANs' battle armor, but a small group of three SPARTANs faced heavy concentration of fire, and were eventually killed. THe concealed snipers locked on to the pilots with their .50 discarding SABOT-round sniper rifles and fired, hoping they hit.

Banshees released from the Cosmocruiser Repentance swarmed in to the beach making way for the pelicans coming toward the beach. The twenty-five Banshees shot their plasma cannons at the choppers, and the pelicans, a couple miles behind them, filled with a total of one hundred Derscon Marines, followed in to land on the beach.

The whole beach was in chaos with the surprise visitors. The SPARTAN brigade commanders went around counting the casualties so far, and found thaty they lost six hunters (they're big targets), a Scorpion tank, ten SPARTANs, two Warthogs, ten Jackals, and three Eleites.

"Three ships, break from the blockade. Move to intercept the Hogsweatian fleet. Tell the fighters to open fire immediately." Captain Fune barked orders to the helmsman. Three ships did just that.

"Echo wing, we have orders to open fire. Lock missiles on the aft section and fire at will, attempt to disable." The fighter commander radioed to his wingmen, and the orders were carried out.

Well, friends, it seems that we have a bit of a problem on our hands. I had hoped that our blockade would have convinced the leaders in Hogsweat to stand down and cease their genocidal actions, however, it would appear that Hogsweat is not one to resort to tact and reason. That said, we are at war now and should act accordingly. Shogun Uesama has been doing a superb job of handling operations thus far, though I believe that he has been a bit too passive. Shogun Kitai will be arriving tomarrow with several transports containing our Paladin heavy infantry (http://www.noyuo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10#10) units. Based on cargo capacity, about 3750 Paladins will be on Hogsweat's doorstep by this time tomarrow. Already we have over 1300 normal infantrymen in our ships in the blockade, I have given Shogun Uesama full command over their deployment.

The night sky was starless, with broken beams of moonlight illuminating the 300 ARC infantry units. A few campfires dotted the beach, surrounded by those whose duty was to survey the perimeter. Shogun Crukih, who was seated in the sand, meditating, suddenly stood up and raised his XZC-244, gaining the attention of the entire force.

"They're coming..." he said to himself. He then yelled orders to his soldiers, sending the entire encampment into a pseudo-organized frenzy. Bullets soon came raining down upon the encampment, coming from and going to random locations. The assault came from behind a large grove of low-lying tropical trees, which, combined with the night sky, hid the attackers from the naked eye. Fortunately, the ARCs weren't visual naturists.

Soon, the ARCs were returning fire with pinpoint accuracy. Unfortunately, some of the enemy fire had managed to penetrate the ARC armor (mostly through the visor), and the presumedly Hogsweatian soldiers were beginning to catch on to this tactic. Shogun Crukih fired a few rounds into the brush, and then barked an order to (as it seemed to those around him) nobody in particular. However, after a few more minutes of sporadic gunfire and the occasional beheading (courtesy of the Joshu/Seppuko ARC unit's possession of a katana, and the enemy soldier's willingness to charge blindly), a P4lladian fighter flew overhead, performing the age-old (and well-appreciated) "bombing run", obliterating the enemy forces, down to the very last man.

"Now things are getting interesting. Major Syzun! Patch me through to Pyra. The Seppukon will want to be made aware of these recent developments." Crukih said gruffly, sheathing his sword and reloading his gun. He kept his eyes on the burning brush, watching humanoid forms run around aimlessly, enveloped in flames.

Silas Dement, you bring up many good points, and I am very hard pressed to find any inaccuracies in it. It seems that so few Christians actually follow the words of their Christ and instead use their religion as an excuse to remain ignorant and throw reason out the window to the detriment of everyone else. While I agree that Christian thought is a danger to social evolution, so is purging a society of any group. We must simply allow nature to take its course, we have found that logic and reason will overcome when it is time. In other words, manji symbols have become commonplace in P4lladia, and nobody complains about Nazis.

Good argument, but isn't warfare against certain groups part of evolution? It seems to me that it would be unnatural to leave your enemy alone.

I stand against hogwheat and with all those against that country. Yes many christians don't obey what the christian beliefs and use it as a shield to remain ignorant and lazy, but does it entirely solve to kill them all, wouldn'd it be better to educate them and bring them up. Hogswheat answer is simply cure the disease by killing the patient.

Warfare, however unfortunate, is most certainly a part of any civilization's evolution. Instinctually, yes, it is natural to attack your enemy, but humans are not creatures of instinct. We are creatures of reason and have a respect for life unlike most others, we very much are capable of accepting differences among ourselves. Rather than lashing out at a group we don't like, we should simply isolate ourselves from them and set a good example. Open-minded individuals on the other side will grow to respect and look up to logical, practical values and old ways will fade away. This is the basis of the Palladian society.

OOC: This doesn't have anything to do with the RP thread here and is probably best suited to the general discussion board. That said, the argument is a fascinating philosophical issue and worthy of discussion somewhere. I for one, as a criminal defense attorney in "real life" (if you can call what I do "real life") must disagree somewhat. I have found through 15 years of divorces, criminal defense work, personal injury (Plaintiff side) and insurance (defense side) work that humans ARE creatures of instinct. We do have the ability to rise above it and become creatures of reason, but the bulk of society does not do this. If they did, there would be no beheadings of non-military hostages in the middle east and there would be no prisoners of war acting like dogs with bras on their heads in Abu Graib. These are products of instinct, not reason, on both sides of an idealogical divide.

OOC: It's late and I'm tired and have a long weekend of work ahead of me so to make this short I'm gonna engage in some quick actions via OOC descriptions instead of full RP conversations. I'll try to come back with some RP stuff to back all this up later.

First: Quiamonda's terrorist cell succefully blew up an electrical substation in the Hogsweatian capital. Approximately 20% of the city was left without electrical power. Who, if anyone, was killed in the explosion of our bomb, what areas of the city are without electricity and how long people were left without electrical power is up to Hogsweat to describe. Another terrorist attack took place in other words.

Second: Our first team of SEALs made it back for their rendevous only to find the beach engulfed in combat. The captain of our sub the Karras, sent a 2nd five man SEAL team in with the sole purpose of ensuring a succesful extraction of our first team. Four of our SEALs were killed in their attempt to get out of Hogsweat and the fire fight, not sure if it was friendly fire or not. I'll let everyone involved decide for me if the remaining SEALs made it back to the sub Karras or if they are "stuck" with Derscon's forces or others on the beach.

Third: The captain of the Karras now knows everything that has taken place while he was submerged and in silent running, but stationary, mode. He is now headed, per orders, out under the remainder of the blockade, to rendevous with our carrier the Ganja. Let me know if he has retrieved his SEALs.

Fourth: The nation of Mauiwowee has publicly requested that all sides stand down and allow it to host a mediation conference to end hostilities.

Fifth: The battleship Crichton, following the lead of P4lladia, is ready to engage the first Hogsweatian ship that comes within range. Meanwhile, the sub Karras is ready to fire on any ship that tries to stop it from exiting the area and hooking up the the carrier Ganja.

Sixth: a squad of 30 Harrier type jets has left the Ganja and is engaged in observation patrols to monintor the situation and search for the Karras. If fired upon they will fire back. Weapons are yet to be decided in this regard. Rest assured though, they will be some of the most practical and maybe the best.

That should cover all for now. ya'll feel free to descibe the outcome of things for me. I'll even let P4lladia sink a ship of mine if need be to make the RP battle "work." Just let my carrier make it out alive. I'm debating what I want to have happen to my sub. and SEALs. Let me know what you have done. I'll generally accept anything that is not tooooo far out.

The troops begin to walk when suddenly they here artillery fire. "ay okay alpha and Beta the charge into the front lines, Omega I suspect they will send reinforcements see that road I want you to check them out and check out the power plant and make sure there aren?t any military personal guarding it and as for my group Zeda we will try to give them a back attack in a elevated position okay now." Alpha and beta went and charged in they were accompanied by artillery. It was like they expected this however if they were to survive they would have to outwit them. Suddenly one of them came up with a idea. He had a stick of dynamite and he was going to chuck it at the artillery to create smoke so they can advance. As they saw Hogsweat troops rushing down a lot of Yugolsavian troops hid behind objects or chroached and opened fire but some still stood up. Suddenly the troops the fighting was brutal. Each side getting cut down. However the Yugolsavian troops managed to beat back the Hogsweat troops and were advancing up the hill however the artillery was to much and they were getting cut down. It would have turned into a massacre if Omega did not finish wiring the artillery back line with C4. The signal was given to the Alpha and Beta units to retreat as they did. The Hogsweat troops thought they had a victory when suddenly boom. The artillery exploded and the Alpha and Beta group went back except they now had the artillery and the Omega group was behind them most surrendered but a few still fought but were killed instantly. Meanwhile the Zeda group checked and saw the reinforcements come with tanks, shell guns and everything. Even though they had no artillery they still had automatics and bazookas and they knew they were in a elevated position so they opened fire on the reinforcements and it was a massacred that lasted 10 min. They then checked the Power plants and there was little military guarding their most of them fought the Yuolsavian troops. All 4 groups joined together. ?Snipers take out the guards? with persuasion and accuracy the snipers were taking out the guards. Suddenly the troops came rushing and started to mow down the unsuspecting guards. Many of them were pouring out only to be slaughtered. They eventually reached the managers office were they found him dead after he shot himself.
"Tell asonovich the invasion has began and send in more of his men" General Karivich said.

Shogun Uesama and his guards were hiding in a hastily produced trench, observing the battle around them trying to come up with a plan. Suddenly, several blips showed up on the Shogun's in-visor display, which could only be a good thing...

"Shogun Uesama! I am ARC #6675420, Captain Jajauma. I am leading a recon team unloaded from the Yuunaru, sir." Evidently, the ship "Yuunaru" saw an oppertunity to break from the blockade and land troops ashore.

"Fantastic, captain! How many are here?" The Shogun asked.
"40 are here with me, sir, and another 50 went off in the other direction. Of course, we came with all the goodies like jeeps and gunships." The Captain proudly replied.
"Great, help me out of this hole. The satellites show an airbase nearby, we should go there and prepare to capture it." The Shogun verbed.
-----
The aforementioned team of 40 walked down the beach, scanning the forests nearby for anyone. Suddenly, they spot a small group of people running through the forest like chickens with their heads cut off.

"Unidentified movement, over there."
"Go check it out..."
"Right, you three, come with me."

The small team of PTA troops moved through the forest, expecting a hostile encounter. Nobody knew how many enemy troops were on the beach. The lead soldier raised his rifle and yelled to them.

"I am ARC #6656754 of the Technocratic Army, identify yourselves!" The unidentified team turned around and pointed their weapons at ARC leader, who instantly recognized their uniforms (courtesy the wearable computer system).
"Oh, wait, don't shoot! You're the SEAL team from Mauiwowee, right?"

Shogun Crukih finished his report to the Seppukon, and left the tent under which he had given his briefing. Major Syzun followed close behind, and the Shogun began walking amongst his men, pointing to seemingly random ARCs, causing them to follow behind Crukih. Soon, a group of 11 battle-ready soldiers had been assembled, with the Shogun at the head of the group. Each man already knew what was going on; Crukih was going on one of his famous raids.

A short trek into the nearby forest, guided by intel on enemy positions, led the group near a small encampment of Hogsweatian soldiers. The group crouched in the underbrush, hidden from sight.

"There are about 30 men in this encampment, each one of them fully capable of killing any one of you. I want you to bear this in mind,"Crukih said as he addressed his chosen subordinates. "Major Syzun and I will be going in first, and as soon as you hear the enemy returning fire, I want you to rush in and give them hell. By the time they regroup, the numbers will be about even..."The Shogun concluded with a smirk. He and the Major scampered off in the underbrush, crouched low and going in opposite directions. When the two reached opposite sides of the circular encampment, the slaughter began.

Shogun Crukih, in typical Japanese anime antihero style, stood upright and walked right into the encampment. Almost instantly, he was surrounded by almost every Hogsweatian soldier, save the three who were assigned to guard the perimeter (who were subsequently disposed of courtesy of Syzun's marksmanship). Surrounded on all sides by hostile guns, Crukih dropped his XZC-244, kicking it towards the commanding officer of the group, who had made himself apparent by walking into the front of the circle.

"I take it you want to surrender?" The C.O. asked with a chuckle. "Of course you do. Why else would you be here?"

"To kill you."The Shogun replied, catching his "captors" off-guard with both his audacity and his skill with a katana. The initial draw separated the C.O.'s torso from his legs, and the next few slices brought down a few more soldiers. Taking his cue, Syzun came in firing his XZC, picking off a few more enemies as the crowd began to disperse. As the group ran away in fear, they found themselves staring at one of two things: either the wrong end of an XZC-244, or a carbon nanotube blade jutting from their bodies. Within a matter of seconds, the entirety of the Hogsweatian encampment was reduced to blood, corpses, and the occasional severed head.

"We'd best get back to camp, before the others get worried. We move out at dawn." Shogun Crukih stated, sheathing his blade and picking up his gun.

The Night Sky -- Somewhere in Hogsweat

The stealth bomber squadron had so far gone unnoticed by Hogsweatian and Axis radar. About one and a half hours from the capitol, the pilots were worried about SAMs that might peek through the stealth cloak, but they had emergency jammers for that.

Hogsweatian Beach

The SPARTAN brigade commander scanned the beach. The surviving, if there was any, he couldn't tell from the smoke and the fires, Hogsweatian choppers seemed t ohave flown off, because he wasn't picking anything up on his HUD radar. Thankfully, no more casualties occured. The dead bodies were being stacked up, and the wounded were being airlifted via Pelicans back to the Repentance. He noticed people running towards the water, so he ran up to him. The person started to raise his weapon, but the SPARTAN, due to his genetic enhancing, knocked the gun away and pinned the soldier down.

"Identify yourself," the SPARTAN said, and for humor, in his most evil and sinister voice possible. He wouldn't answer, so he dug the sharp-ish portion of the armor on his elbow in to his spine. The mystery person let out a muffled scream of pain, and the SPARTAN pressed on. "IDENTIFY YOURSELF!" the SPARTAN said more forcefully. HE looked at the uniform, and saw....."Mauiwowee?" The SPARTAN let the soldier go and he stood up.

"Yes. I'm the last surviving member of a Mauiwowee SEAL team sent to get two other SEAL teams out. I don't know if the others are still up there, captured, or killed." The SPARTAN looked at the SEAL again. "Come with me." He led the SEAL to the MASH station set up on the beach. "Let them deal with you." He left the SEAL with the meds and went to his radio.

Shogun Kitai, overlooked the starfield before him out the windows of his flagship, a Class-3 destroyer, number 775. His fleet consisted of no other starships, rather, it consisted of eighteen transports, fifteen carrying Paladin power armor units and the rest carrying the pilots, tanks, jeeps, gunships and all the other amenities that are so useful on the battlefield. Such a large deployment was unheard of, it had not been done in 95 years, when the Technate was forced to destroy a city on its own soil. Since that time, war had been disowned by the Technate. Now, however, things were different. Contact with alien planets had been made, society was a safer, more enlightened place. There was a maniacal nation on the loose killing people by the hundreds for no reason except their religion, and their justification for it was something the people of the Technate hold dear. This can not continue, it will end immediately.

"Open a channel to the TDS Sol." A bridge officer patched the Shogun through. "Sol Operations Command, this is Shogun Kitai. Operation 'Let My People Go' is proceeding as planned. Notify Uesama, reinforcements are coming en masse. Kitai out..."

Shogun Kitai slumped down in his chair, took a deep breath and stood up. He turned to the helmsmen and nodded. The capacitor charge for the ship's spacefold drive was nearly full, and when it was, the deployment would be complete.

"Helm, low Earth orbit. Put us over Hogsweat, tell the transports to prepare for landing."

To All Nations Involved
We advise you to retreat all your offensive forces. We will let them go peacefully. Foreign soldiers have landed on our territory without permission and we have reacted forcefully fearing the worst. We will give you 1 hour to give us a sign of surrender, or we will react with our power.
In exactly 1 hour 1 second if you have not sent a sign of withdrawal we will declare a state of war between your sovereign nation and our sovereign nation. No exceptions.

Hogsweat, we would be more than happy to stand down. All that we ask in return is that you end this needless holocaust and return everyone back to their homes and lives. How do you think I feel about sending my men to what could be their death? The solution to this problem is in your hands, not mine. Unless you give these people freedom, the invasion will proceed.

Hmm, so I am being warned of not commiting justified "atrocities". Atrocities are unnecessary killings and torment done without reason or for an unjustifiable purpose. To attack any Christian is to attack all Christians, and we will not stand down in fear of larger nations. We have no fear of man, only a fear of God. I guarantee a swift death to any who oppose our righteous war against these Satanic-ruled nations.

The only ceasefire agreeable with Hogsweat would be an immediate hand-over of all Hogsweat Christians, all of their former income or on the unlikely chance they actually gained currency during this unfair atrocity, and an immediate hand-over of all of their belongings. All of these re-spoils of war will be sent to the CCA where the refugees will choose their new homeland. In addition 20,000,000,000 (twenty billion) must be refunded to the CCA for the costs of mobilization, loss of life, and just plain spoils of war! Any prisoners from the war must be returned to the CCA coalition in return for the exchange of enlisted Hogsweat soldiers and non-commissioned officers, although all commissioned officers will remain in our hands.

"OK General Ripper, what's the situation?" asked King 'Lude II.

"Hogsweat has issued an ultimatum that all coalition forces withdraw from his territory within the hour or full scale war will take place. Thanks to P4lladium and Derscom commando forces 6 of our SEALs have made it back to the sub Karras. Four were killed when hostilities broke out just as they were landing to effect extraction of the the 1st team that had made it in. The other 5 were killed as they were rendevousing with the Karras to get out. Initial reports from the SEAL teams' operational commander, Colonel Asa "Flippers" Jackson indicates that his team was succesful in hooking up with CLF cell leader, Father Quiamonda in Hogsweat and they have a fully organized cell there with plenty of cash to finance their operations as well as a small cache of weapons. Further, Quiamonda's men have succesfully bombed a police station and taken out an electrial power substation in the capitol. We are still awaiting official reports from Hogsweat on what the actual damage caused by these attacks were, but it appears Quiamonda is off to a good start in his interior campaign for religious freedom."

"What about our ships?"

"The Karras has made its rendevous with the carrier Ganja and it and they are awaiting orders on whether to join the other ships in the blockade line or stand back as per your last orders. The battleship Vonnegut is with them. The battleship Crichton, however, is with the blockade ships and it appears Hogsweat's navy is prepared to engage the blockade."

"OK, do this, first keep the Crichton where she is. If she or any of the other blockade ships are fired upon, she is authorized to use full force to repel the attack. Give her commander full discretion in his actions in deciding whether to engage in open hostilities with Hogsweat. Its only one ship, but we must show we are serious and committed. Have our other ships spread out some. Any Hogsweat ship that makes it past the blockade lines is to be either sunk or boarded and taken. I don' want our carrier or the sub or our other battleship to directly engage in battle with the Hogsweatian navy if they challenge the blockade. I do want them to stop any ship that gets through the blockade. I assume the Ganja has its planes in the air?"

"Yes your Highness." replied General Ripper, "30 at any given time are on patrol monitoring the situation in 5 plane wing formations."

"Good. Any Hogsweatian aircraft that attempt to leave Hogsweat's airspace are to be fired upon and downed. Civilian craft are to be turned back to Hogsweat and not allowed to leave without verification that the flight contains refugee christians. and by verification, I don't want just the pilot's word. I want confirmation from an accepting country of the flight. Any civilian aircraft who ignore our demands in this regard are to fired upon and brought down if need be."

"is that all?"

"Yes, no, wait, send our thanks to Derscom and P4lladium for their assistance in getting our SEALs out. Our basic mission, assisting Quaimonda appears to have been a qualified success. I'll be making a statement to the press in a little while, get these orders out now."

================================
AP - In an announcement condemming the actions in Hogsweat today, King 'Lude II of Mauiwowee stated that his country has NO forces in Hogsweatian territory, but confirmed that one of his country's battleships has joined the blockade and is under orders to fire on any Hogsweatian ship that attempts to run the blockade. He further confirmed that additional Mauiwowee naval units, including the carrier Ganja were in the area and would attack any Hogsweatian ship that managed to break through the blockade and was found at large on the high seas. "We again offer to host a conference to mediate this matter and would ask that all forces stand down" the king continued, "but if Hogsweat is determined to continue its policy of genocide, I'm afraid war will be inevitable. I'd ask Hogsweat, is the death of millions of innocent people really worth it. Are religious differences SO important that millions must die in the name of a particular religion? Lets end this peacefully. Enough have died already." In follow up questions, King 'Lude did confirm that special ops teams had provided support to the CLF terrorist, Father Quiamonda, in Hogsweat, but repeated his claim that no Mauiwowee forces were present in Hogsweat at this time.

================================
Meanwhile, on board H.M.S. Crichton

"Now hear this, all hands to battlestations, condition red alert. This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill!"

Setting the microphone down, Captain Mitsub Eeshi wondered to himself, "is it really worth it?" At that moment, the deck guns began to fire. It seemed the battle was upon them.

The Nation of Kalessin -- Metus Summit

Czar Rekjyavich Ivan Andropov III and Supreme Commander Otto von Bismarck were hooked to the council room via video link.

"Okay," the Czar said. "Give us the breif."
=============================================
Earth Territory: Rekjyavich Andropov Military City -- Kremlin Palace

Council Room

Field Marschall Hindenburg looked at the giant plasma screen moniters and gave them the breif.

"So," the Czar said. "Hogsweat has issued an ultimadum?"

"Yessir," Hindenburg said.

"I'll make a statement, then. So, how is the stealth bomber squad to the capitol of Hogsweat?"

"We do not know, sir," Aerostalvich said. "We lost contact a while ago."

"Hmm, okay. Franz?"

"Yessir?" Franz von Papen, the Foreign Minister, asked.

"Make a statement to our allies in Greater Prussia and Atlantica. Ask them to come aid in this situation."

"I assume then," Papen said. "That you will not be stepping down."

"I am going to release a statement that basically says 'up yours', if that is what you mean," the Czar said, smiling.

"Okay," Papen said. He left to go prepare a statement.

"Now," the Czar said. "Aerostalvich?"

"Yes?"

"Prepare an unconventional, non-nuclear strike against Hogsweat. Cripple it."

"Yessir." Supreme Aeromarschall Ramius Aerostalvich gave his orders.

"Good," the Czar said. "I trust all of you to handle the situation. Good luck, and keep me posted."

"Damn," Luftewaffe Commandant Gennaddy Bondarenko said. He put on the Satellite Weapons department on the speakerphone.

Bondarenko: General?

General: Yes, sir?

LuftComm: Activate the non-nuclear weaponry.

General: Target?

LuftComm: Being faxed as we speak.

General: Got it.

LuftComm: Good. Out.
===============================
Satellite Weapons

The General looked at the paper.

Use all available non-nuclear arsenal to eliminate Hogsweatian economic centers, governmental centers, military bases, and dense civilian populations.

The general shook his head and went over to the GOLDENEYE Control Center. He found his way to the Targeting Master and went up to him. "Imperial Aeroseargent?"

"Yes, General?" the IASRG said.

"Here are the names of targets in Hogsweat you are to strike. The capitol, the five largest cities, and the five major power plants in Hogsweat."

"Yessir."

He then went over to the DAF satellite control center to give them their targets.
The DAF (Diamonds are Forever -- the laser satellite in the respective Bond movie) targets were to be major strateigic command targets, such as nuclear bases and large military bases. They were to also strike Hogsweat's largest power plant.

Finally, he went over to one of the best (and most secretive) of the satellites in Derscon's arsenal, SUNDAD36, under the codename "Icarus." (from Die Another Day). Their targets were major military bases, power plants, farms, and factories.

He walked back to his office to tell the Luftewaffe Commandant that the orders to fire were given.

The Luftewaffe Commandant went to the launch control panel and set it for mass launch. He put the timer at six hundred and sixty-six seconds, and started the countdown. At the end, all the satellites will launch in unison.

OOC NOTE:

GOLDENEYE: If you saw the Bond movie, you know what it is. the Goldeneye satellite emmits a gigantic EM pulse and fires it to the target. Although the pulse itself is harmless to life, it will literally explode all electronics it hits. Poor man with the cell phone.

DAF: Laser beam satellite. 'nuff said.

Press Release by Czar Rekjyavich Ivan Andropov III
Good day, fellow citizens of Derscon, and people of the world. Recently, the nation of Hogsweat has issued an untimatum -- allow it to commit genocide, or be fired upon. I refuse to stand idly by as my brothers are ruthlessly excecuted by the phycopaths in power. I will continue to hold my ground, and I WILL NOT BACK DOWN! Even if you are not a Christian nation, I am sure you believe that genocide is WRONG! I urge the entire International Community to support me in this effort to stop Hogsweat's horrid and dispicable actions.

I will not stop until those that committed these atricities have been taken out of power and prosecuted.

Hogsweat, you have made a bad decision. Now, you will pay for your crimes.

God Bless Derscon, Greater Prussia, and her allies, and may His blessing and Spirit be with us in this great and noble undertaking.

The battleship, Crichton turned hard to the port side as the deck guns fired 6 shots across the bow of the Hogsweatian cruiser that was attempting to run the blockade. "Damn," thought Captian Mitsub Eeshi, "can Hogsweat really be so intent on destroying the followers of a single religious tennent that it would risk all out war with the world? Are they stupid or just misguided fanactics?"
------------------------------------------------------
"Wing leader one, this Squad commander 2." barked Major Phlybouy. "I see Hogsweatian choppers headed towards the blockade fleet. What are your orders?"

"Back off Phlybouy" responded Colonel "Bo" Eng. "We are not to engage anything that is still inside the blockade's perimiter. If those choppers overshoot the blockade, bring 'em down, fast. Meanwhile, I want ALL telemetry, noted air, troop and naval movements broadcast to the Ganja, Derscom and P4laddia's forces on a regular, ongoing basis. Also, keep an eye on the Crichton. IF she is fired upon, feel free to take out whoever did it. Squad Commanders 3 through 6, acknowledge your understanding of orders!"
-------------------------------------------------------
"The war has begun" Father Quiamonda told his followers. "Take the launchers to the roof tops. Take out any of our government's choppers you can get a clear shot at. Our friends from Mauiwowee and their allies have begun the battle to save us here in Hogsweat. We must assist by ensuring the sword of God, through the weapons Mauiwowee's SEALS supplied us with, is used to strike down the air command of the evil government. Remember, God is on our side. He commands we stand for the right to worship as we believe. Our bombs took out a corrupt police station and destroyed an electrical substation. The death of the police and the darkness of the city showed these corrupt, evil men that God is not a force to be trifled with. Go, now, Go! Our bombs at the airport will detonate soon. Without runways, the airforce will be defenseless to launch strikes against our allies. We shall reclaim our own country in the name of God and Jesus."
-------------------------------------------------------
The squad of black choppers had only just left the Hogsweatian Government's airstrip headed to the beach and the blockade when, as it flew over the city, the terrorists let their 5 missiles fly. "Shit!" said the Squad's leader. "The jerks didn't tell us the enemy had actually made it into the city. Evasive action! You guys know what to do. Do it!"
-------------------------------------------------------
Encrypted Communication to P4lladia:
Commander, As you know, the Battleship Crichton is ready to defend the blockade and the Captain of that boat has been directed to follow your lead in maintaing the blockade. While they have not been ordered to do so, the fighters from our Carrier Ganja will change their status from defensive and maintainance of the blockade to that of agressive, if you feel it necessary, to fight off Hogsweat's navy and maintain the blockade. Otherwise, they are to fire only upon Hogsweatian forces, troops, ships, etc. found to be outside the blockade's effective perimeter. Feel free to communicate your support needs to the captain of the Ganja" Within the limits of her orders she will assist in any way feasible.

Official Statement from the Minister of War

I have conferred with the other Ministers, along with Prime Minister Andropov about the situation in Hogsweat. Even though we are a mostly Atheistic nation. The government of Hogsweat has 24 hours to issue proof they have stopped.

Kremlin Palace: Council Room

Supreme Aeromarschall Ramius Aerostalvich returned to the Council Room with the transmission from the PRP in Hogsweat. "Field Marschall Hindenburg, I have some good and disturbing news."

"Okay," Hindenburg said. "Give me the good news first."

"The good news is that there is a revolution being staged in Hogsweat."

"Good," Supreme Admiral Marko Herkjyavich said. "That way they could secure more areas so our troops from Hattia can go in."

"The bad news is--" Aerostalivich continued, "--is that they are Communist." Everyone's head turned at that comment.

"They are Communist?" Franz von Papen said. "If we continue to fight, we would be placing a group of communists into power. I dont' know if the Czar will go for that."

"Hmm, good point. DAMNIT!" Hindenburg shouted. "This was just got political. If we withdraw, we give in to Hogsweat, and look like cowards. Also, the Czar would seem like a liar."

"And we lose our good relationship with Hattia, and our protection from The International," Papen stated.

"But if we continue to fight," Hindenburg said, "we would be aiding the Communists. DAMNIT!" he shouted again.

"I have an idea," General of the Army Ludendorff, CommanderInChief of the Dersconian Special Operations. "Send in massive amounts of special ops troops, dress them up like Hogsweat soldiers, and attack the Communist insurgents. That way, we have the best of both worlds. Besides, when everything gets settled, the SpecOps troops can stay in house to aid in the upcoming counter-revolution, should the Communists succeed."

"Excellent idea," Hindenburg said. "Yuri Golokvo, how can you help with this?" Yuri Golokvo was the KGB Chairman of Derscon.

"Hmm," he thought. "I can have people there help in the rebuilding, and go from there. I can also open smuggling channels with some agents, to get rebels armed, and keep the Delta Force operatives supplied. That is all I can think of now; I'll get back to you."

"Okay," Hindenburg siad. "To do anythin glike this, though, we need at least Bismarck's approval, but most likely for an operation like this, the CVzar HAS to know EVERYTHING. Franz, can you contact him?"

"Yes, I can," Papen nodded.

"Then do it."

The landing site off the coast of Hogsweat was quiet. A desolate beach, far from any cities, surrounded by a young forest. A few silent-running ships sat out on the calm ocean, having scared away a few fisherman in the area.
Overhead, an incoming Aeroshuttle dropped from orbit, screaming over the ocean. A sonic boom trailed the shuttle, which rapidly decellerated, sinking into the sand as it landed. A hatch on the side immediately opened, resulting in the emergence of several figures.

"It looks calm, Kitai-sama. The transports should be called down immediately." The well-decorated Commander to the Shogun's side reported.
"Yes, it does. Call in the transports, we'll stage right here on this beach." Shogun Kitai responded, staring off into the sea.

Within a few minutes the stubby-winged transport ships began to fall from the sky many miles away near Falastur, and skimmed sea level under the radar to the beach. Once arrived, the transports quickly unloaded their cargo and left in the same manner as they arrived. What was left was a beach full of warriors, guns, walking tanks and what basically amounted to rotorless helicopters. No fewer than 4,500 Paladin heavy armored infantry, another thousand ARC-wearing infantrymen and a slew of repulsorcraft was amassed on the beach. It would not be long before someone spotted the staging area, so the newly landed army quickly moved into the forest, disappearing without a trace.

Any advise or intelligence you could provide would be most helpful.

International Diplomatic Address
From Palladiate Caru, SkyCity, Eness III A
To Grand Duke Langston IV, Ansgard

As an atheist man leading an atheist state, you should be well aware of and highly respectful of making logical decisions, correct? Does it not dissent against every facet of reasonable thought to support the slaughter of innocent human beings for believing in a god? True, it is an irrational belief and more than a bit ridiculous, but as the Rocentian president stated earlier, they have the same right as anyone else to practice their religion. It's time for those of us with ability to stop this barbaric practice to do so, and those of us unable or unwilling to step aside and let the better man victor. You are impeding the progress of freedom by standing in our way, and we will not tolerate it. Your support for the tyrannical Nazi-like practices of Hogsweat disgusts me. Good luck getting your cargo through the standing blockade.

The captain of the Crichton surveyed the damage. One Hogsweatian cruiser sunk. Approximately 130 Hogsweatian seamen, including the cruiser's first officer held as POW's below decks, good! The two forward main gun batteries all but destroyed, over 50 dead and 100+ wounded, bad! And the sea battle had, at best, only reached a lull before resuming again. This was madness on Hogsweats part, but how sane was his government to get involved either?

"All squads are to provide air cover to protect the landing of the P4lladia frigates and troops ships. Fire at will at any Hogsweatian aircraft, naval vessel or other military target which in any fashion seems to threaten the landing of P4lladia's troops and ships."

"There's the go order guys, you know what to do" said Major "Bo" Eng to the pilots in his squad. At that, 30 planes, in 6 five plane squads set off directly to the coast and the naval blockade around Hogsweat; each pilot ready and eager to earn his badge as the combat pilot of the year on the Ganja

From: Father Quiamonda, CLF

We welcome with open arms your assistance in our struggle. Please note that we are not fully aligned with the insurgents leading the Communist uprising since they have not made clear their intentions regarding the practice of religion in the order they seek to establish. However we do welcome ALL help that seeks to depose the current despotict regime that seeks to murder millions for the "crime" of believing in a God and his Son. Your aid to the Mauiwowee SEALs that assisted us is not unknown to us and we are grateful for that assistance to our supporters. The Friend of our Friend is also our Friend. 22 of our best people are on their way to the staging area you have established (might I say that you have correctly identified the best place to land your invasion force). Once there they will be subject to your commands. However, rest assured they are loyal to our cause and know the "lay of the land" intimately and will be able to guide your forces to the cities, areas and installations they wish to attack; and they will do it with the minimum of exposure to risk for your troops. I might suggest that capture of our Hogsweatian military's primary airfield in the Capitol should be a prime objective. We have used our resources to destroy the primary landing strip, but the secondary strips are still fully operational and inaccesible to us at this time and you must take note that despite what your intelligence has told you, the Hogsweatian land based air force and overall arial resources at the command of the regime are significant. The Capitol City police force alone has in excess of 120 "Blue Thunder" style police helicopters at their disposal. Heaven only knows what the military can access; but we would expect them to have a minimum of 350 U.S. style "stealth" fighter/bombers at their disposal at this air field alone, in addition to military helicopters, cargo planes, dedicated bombers, etc.

End Transmission
-------------------------------------------------
It was a hell of a lot of risky work, but they had succeeded. Father Quiamonda's Christian Liberation Front (CLF) team had planted the C-06 plastic explosives on the Military's primary landing strip. The bombs had detonated as planned and where there used to be almost 3/4 mile of flat slab concrete at the military airport facility, there was barely 100 yards of concrete that didn't have a 60 foot wide, 35 foot deep crater in it somewhere.
--------------------------------------------------
The first missile was perfect. It hit dead center of the rotor's shaft above the helicopter's cockpit. The Helicopter went down instantly. "Hot dog, did you see that?" said the team's leader from the roof of the Holiday Inn, Airport. "That'll teach those government pigs!" John had seen the other 4 shoulder launched missiles fire from various rooftops in the city and knew Quiamonda had sent the right teams out to attack the government from within and felt confident about what would happen. It was the last thing he ever thought. The last two Hogsweatian choppers in the squad had seen where the missile came from, broken from the group and launched their own counter-offensive strike. The roof top of the hotel detonated in a flash of blue light. The smell of burning flesh and melting tar and brick mingled in the night air. Still, it could be said, the revolution was fully underway.

OOC: Hogsweat, where does your scripted revolution stand on the issue of religious freedom. To join the CLF with a communist organization could make for some interesting game play. If they oppose religious freedom though, you'll have 2 separate groups of your own nationals fighting for control of the country after the war is over. Just let me know how this is scripted in your revolutionary thread and this one. TG me with the info.

On a separate note, will we regain a search ability in this forum or have I missed it somewhere?

Dersconian Superfleet -- R13:1

Hogsweatian Blockade

Fleet Admiral Mathew Nimitz, on board the flagship, Daemon of the Sea, looked at the intelligence report form the Kremlin.

Note: Ansgard airships are enroute to Hogsweat in support of the said nation. You are to destroy the aricraft at all costs.

Nimitz reread the orders and sent the message to the other ships.
====================================
====================================
On the Deck of Dersconian Carrier is R13:1 The Daemon's Bride

The Ensign at one of the antiaircraft guns heard an incoming plane. He turned to point the gun at it and got the coordinates from the radar on the gun. He sent it to CIC to get a reading of it. In response, the alarms went off accross the ships, and you could hear from the loudspeakers:

ALERT, ALERT! INBOUND ANSGARD AIRCRAFT! BATTLESTATIONS, BATTLESTATIONS! DESTROY THE ENEMY AIRCRAFT! REPEAT! DESTROY THE ENEMY AIRCRAFT!

The Ensign locked on to it with the radar and opened fire.

The Hogsweatian fleet continued to steam towards the line of Palladian frigates. Both sides let out a contant barrage of light gunfire at each other in an attempt to perforate each other's ships. The nearby Dersconian ships, also engaged with the Hogsweat fleet, suddenly began to change direction and directed their cannons at a few large aircraft.

"What's going on? Lieutenant?" The Captain leaped from his chair and stared at the tactical officer.
"Several large airships deployed from Ansgard have entered weapons range. Dersconi vessels are engaging." The nameless lietenant answered.
"Bring aft APM launchers online. Destroy their engines, let them crash into the ocean." The captain issued the command to attack.
"Aye, captain, commencing firing sequence."

"Ping Pongpolis* is due east about 14 miles. Dead ahead, we should be there pretty soon. This city is essential to our strategy. A simple, unassuming town, just a small military outpost a ways away from the city. However, there is a nuclear power plant outside it..." Shogun Kitai trailed off, staring blankly into the trees.
"A nuclear power plant? That's great...but what does that do for us? We have everything we need dropped from orbit, and more is coming every day. What are we going to do with the power?" One of the Shogun's cronies was obviously confused by the plan.
"Because, kenin, nuclear power plants explode and leave behind a great deal of deadly radiation when not handled properly."
"What are you implying, Shogun?"
"We are going to trigger a meltdown, idiot. This isn't rocket science...rather, nuclear physics. Anyway, we got this tip from that Quaimonda guy. He's too weak and too nice to do this himself, but I am not, kenin." Kitai let out an evil smirk.
"Wait, what? Kill innocent civilians? With all due respect, Kitai-sama, this is not how the Technate wages war! We can't blow up the reactor, the Palladiate refused to allow nuclear weapons for this operation!" The flabbergasted kenin screamed at the Shogun.
"It's how I wage war. A power plant isn't a weapon...only the reactor will get destroyed. Yes, and the entire town will be irradiated and wiped clean of all life, but that works out well for our cause. You will not question me again." The Shogun glared down at the kenin, hand firmly on the wakizashi at her side.

*Alright, you come up with a better name for the city. :p

It was actually wingman Flaggellant who notified the Carrier Ganja and his squad about the Ansgard planes coming in at 2 o'clock high towards the P4lladia frigates and the troops offloading at the staging area. An action he would likely get a medal for. Instantly 15 of the Ganja's planes, in 5 man formations diverted course to intercept.

"Missiles locked, intelligent eye recognitions system engaged" announced all the pilots within 5 seconds of diverting to an interception course.

"Fire at will" was the command from Commodore Katt W. Oman on board the Ganja. 60 missiles (4 per plane) launced towards the 30 inbound craft, their heat seaking capabilities enhanced with their intelligent eye computer recognition program that targeted planes by recognizing not only heat signatures, but specific configuration details of particular aircraft.

"Bastards" thought Commodore Oman, "they're just a little late to interfere in this shit." The explosions in the sky cut short her musing on this matter though. She turned in time to see at least 2, maybe three, of her pilots and their planes explode in mid-air, in a ball of fire that outdid any 4th of July spectactular anyone had ever thought of creating, let alone actually using at an official 4th of July celebration. "Crap!" she thought. Then, following protocols she announced over ship's intercom "medical choppers, launch now, look for survivors. Flight teams 7-10, prepare to deploy. I want all planes in the air ASAP. Let's not let this be a FUBAR mission guys. Take those bastards out. Let P4lladia and Derscon get their trooops in and coordinate their efforts with a minimum of outside interference." She was pleased, as she made her announcements to notice the large number of Ass-Guard planes (as she liked to call them) that had begun their own in-air detonations as her plane's missiles found their marks.

"Honorable Shogun Kitai" said Quaimonda's geographic scout Bruce

OCC: OK, so he's a gay australian, so what :D

"Ping Pongpolis's nuclear plant is heavily guarded with loyal Buddist troops and specialized remote control weapons systems around the perimiter. Before you mount a full scale storming of the facility, let me attempt to locate a person in the city of Ping Pongpolis who is loyal to either the CLF or the Socialist rebellion who can get us in undetected. I deplore your plan of causing a meltdown, but unlike my leader, Quiamonda, I understand the need to win this war decisively and quickly. Wiping out a single town with a meltdown is a small price to pay for religious freedom in the entire country if it ends the war quickly. Give me 6 hours to get into town and back with the info."

Somewhere in Hogsweat

A Dersconian SPARTAN tracked down Shogun Kitai. He approached him.

"Honorable Shogun, I am a Dersconian SPARTAN, as you can see. Intelligence reports I got say there is a nuclear power pla--"

"I know of this," Shogun Kitai replied. "I was making plans to attack it."

"Really?" the SPARTAN said. "As was I."

"Hmm," Shogun Kitai thought aloud.

"I can help some." The SPARTAN whistled, and ten Hunters approached from the shadows. "They can't run fast, but their firepower makes up for it. Your call."

Hattian Islands off of Hogsweat

The gigantic aircraft began landing at the airports on the Hattian Isles near Hogsweat. The anphibious vehicles were being unloaded from the cargo planes, and Dersconi Marines were marching off of troop transport ships. At the end of the day, one million Marines, one thousand anphibious assault vehicles (both transport and anphibious tanks), and fifty support boats were stationed at the islands, waiting for their orders to move out.

"Well, that terrorist we're working with gave us this info..and told us it's actually quite substantially guarded. There's no reason we should have to waste our weapons on the nuclear plant, we will combine our forces and simultaneously attack the power plant and the small military base outside the city. Meanwhile, I send in some ninjas to take out the supervisors, drain the coolant and trigger the meltdown. Then we run very very fast and wait for the shit to hit the fan." Shogun Kitai detailed the plan to the SPARTAN. "And then Hogsweat has a new problem to deal with. After that, we meet up with the Communist rebels..."

"Shogun" said Bruce, the Quaimonda's terrorist operative. "I have information regarding the nuclear plant. There is a way to evade the guards and get inside with a small force. Apparantly the plant is conected to the city's sewer system and the underground piping is monitored only with electronic listening devices that are easily knocked out using an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) Generator. A team of about 4-5 of your special ops guys should be able to gain easy access to the interior of the plant this way. Once inside it would be easy to overpower the techs on duty and start the meltdown. They may have to fight their way out, depending on how quickly the security forces react to the alarms that might trigger when a melt down begins, but getting in and starting the meltdown can be done with little risk of detection or harm to your men."

"Fire" said the captain of the Karras.

Almost instantly, 4 torpedos and 2 cruise missiles launched from the sub. All six of which were targeted on the Hogsweatian carrier that seemed intent on challenging the blockade.

"They can't dodge all those" said the C.O. "and lets see their planes land when the landing deck is down here with us." he continued with a smile.

"Well called play Commander" said the Captain. "I'll make sure your idea to launch this surprise is in the log book. Now, Deep Dive and track us under the Carrier Ganja and the P4lladian frigates she is providing cover for. Captain Oman has their butts covered in the air, lets make sure their butts are covered down here too. Oh yeah, keep the SEAL team on ready alert. We're in a war, no telling how we made need them."

"Direct hit amidships with torpedo #1" interrupted communications officer Dickta, "confirmation is incoming."

"lets go" said the C.O. "ya'll heard the Captain, dive and lets keep up our surprise advantage. They can't track us overhead if we're directly under the Ganja. We'll catch 'em with their shorts down and put those panties in a twist before they knew what hit 'em."

Kamon had once been proud to be a Hogsweatian. He had excelled in school, attended the military acadamey where he excelled. He had seen combat in the past conflicts, had 4 distinguished service crosses, including 1 with double clusters. He had 6 medals recognizing that he had been wounded in action. He was an expert, black belt in 3 martial arts: Kung Fu, Karate' and Krave Magna and Judo only lacked his last combat test. He was the perfect person to serve on the elder's private security force. However, he now had a problem. The elders had trusted him. He wasn't particularly religous, but not particularly unreligious. He had his job because of his school and demonstrated loyalty to the government, but now, as he surveyed the room, he was, for the first time ever, scared. He had a grenade, pin pulled, but detonation swithch depresseed, in his left hand. He had his service Uzi with a full 120 shot clip in his right hand. Should he do it? He must try! His mother died in the White Plauge of the 90's. His Aunt, who raised him from age 12, had died last month when the council's operatives had shackled her to cinder blocks and pushed her overboard. She was 67 then and had done nothing but acknowledge her belief in Christ over Buddha. Surely not a crime worth death. Killing for a belief? What has his country become? Kamon didn't believe in anything except his country, and he didn't like what he believed in now. It was time for a change, war had begun, insurgents threatened his life as did outside forces. The Elders had to go!

"Te-Zong, Rah-Psong" announced Kamon. "It's over. You've lost. Renounce your plans and accept Mauiwowee's offer of asylum; otherwise, you die!"

Brandishing the grendade and the Uzi, Kamon made it clear he was serious. He might die, but he was in the Elder's chambers, a trusted member of their personal guard. They would surrender or they, and he, would die.

OOC: Hogsweat, thought I'd offer an end to the thread so the civil war could continue elsewhere. Ignore this if it doesn't meet your criteria. Otherwise I'd ask you let us all know that Kamon is dead, but so are your leaders.

OOC: Aww, we're ending it? And we were just getting to the good part! :D Seriously though, it probably is best to end now, seeing as how Hogsweat only pops into the thread about once a week, it seems. That, and the civil war thread should probably supercede this one. Anyway, let's recap:

A Joint Palladia/Joshu/Derscon army is well within Hogsweat, fighting
The Allied blockade is fighting Hogsweat's fleet
Shogun Kitai's army has been terrorizing small cities
A guard is making an attempt on the big cheese's life!

Unless you decide you want to continue, we will leave it here.

IC: Our work is complete. Technocratic forces will be pulling out immediately. We wish the Communist rebels best of luck in the civil war, and we offer our hand in friendship if and when Hogsweat regains its sanity.
