Three O clock, Hogsweat National Time
The Imperial Palace
The servant walked fairly fast down the dusty corridor, the drinks tray in his hand shaking nervously. He slowly opened the grand door into the Imperial Senate Throne Room, and looked up. Statues of gods and heroes long lost carved into shining marble, and dead ahead five seats. On those seats sat elderly men, dressed in ornamental clothing, their heads nearly bald of their old grey hairs. The Imperial servants had long held a betting pool on how long they would last - they were all well over 90 years old. They discussed among themselves quietly, and stopped as the servant entered.
"Y-y-y-y-our drinks masters" The servant put the tray down and bowed.
"Very well. Thank you"
The servant gave each elder a cup of mint tea - a Hogsweatian favourite. He then bowed again and hurriedly left with the tray.
"As you were saying Te-Zong..."
Te Zong, the elder on the far right returned to his previous argument.
"Buddha would not allow it."
"These Christians are getting to big for their boots!!" The elder on the far left shouted, rather loudly.
"Quiet, quiet Rah-Psong" The elder in the middle, the oldest spoke in a soft matter.
"What we must do is this..."
The propaganda towers flared into action.
"Comrade Workers of Hogsweat. Attention please. Buddha has spoken to us and declared Christianity evil! You must report any known Christians to authorities ate once!"
And so it was that at least a thousand Christians were rounded up, and were taken to labour camps, almost within the hour. All in the name of Buddha.

The justice-upholding nation of Sanzuela condemns the heinous actions against Christians by the nation of Hogsweat. Hogsweat has hereby been declared the mortal enemies of Sanzuela. Sanzuela is prepared to commit any forces neccessary to combat Hogsweat and their allies in their immoral crusade against religious freedom.
Valvilis
12-06-2004, 14:55
Yes, while it is cowardly for Hogsweat to hide behind one religion to attack another, we, the senior members of the Armed Republic of Valvilis, have no choice but to agree whole-heartedly with Hogsweat's decision. Christians are a sociological burden on any nation. Statistically, they bring nothing but increased crime - especially domestic abuse, as well as alcoholism, higher divorce rates, lower education rates, higher illiteracy rates, and an over-all propensity for violence.

In the best interests of all our nations, Valvilis publicly offers extra space in our internment camps for any nation who's capacity is exceeded in the dephasing of Christianity from their populations. Worry not, they will be put to work - rehabilitated into productive members of society, yet still removed from said society so as to not be able to hurt anyone.

It's about time.

The Technocracian President's office:

An aid rushes in, carrying with him the dossier regarding the new situation in Hogsweat. He places the file on the President's desk, who, after reading it, calls his closest advisors.

President Brezny, for once, was undecided in his actions. He stroked his chin, undecided, whilst his aid spoke.

"Comrade, we should encourage Hogsweat. After all, are we not an atheist nation, and is Hogsweat not our ally?"

Brezny replied, whilst deep in thought: "Yes, but changes have taken place there lately for the worst. To support this measure would be to support National Socialism, and to me, this is unacceptable. We must publish a statment at once:

***Offical Statment From Techoncracian Communist Liberal Party***
We are deeply troubled by the events in Hogsweat, a once proud socialist nation, with whom we were good friends. However, as a result of their recent government "conversion", we are rethinking our stance, unsure of weather the alliance should still stand.

However, as our stance is against excessive religious freedom, we will neither condemn nor praise the Hogsweatian government's anti-Christian stance.

Butler whispering to the President's ear:"Sir, Hogsweat is persecuting Christians."

He walks outside, picking up an AK-47, and a target that looked like Hitler. "DIEEEEEEEEEEEE" He started shooting the AK-47 in full auto, until his magazine ran out. He then walked up to his butler. "Tell them that we are neutral and that we condemn them." He whispered to him. "Yes Sergeiavich." He then walks up to his guests. "Sorry, you were saying?"

However, this ban on religion does not give other nations the right to threaten war in Hogsweat. Though we disagree with their motives and action, Blargistania stands ready to defend Hogsweat if others should see fit to attack.

Sanzuela
13-06-2004, 00:30
President Caide, leader and figurehead of the Protectorate of Sanzuela, sat poised in his office quarters, overlooking the evening sun dip behind the green mountains of the Sanzuelan countryside through a marvelous glass viewport directly behind his desk. Sunlight poured into the room as he drummed his fingers on his chair, anticipating the telegram that detailed the news reguarding the nation of Hogsweat.

Suddenly as if on cue, a man dressed in military garb burst through the door, and crossed to Caide's desk. Caide pivoted in his chair to face the man, reckognizing him to be General Grevar, the commanding General of the Sanzuelan Armed Forces. Grevar let a sheet of paper fall to the desk.

"The countries both opposing and backing Hogsweat have begun to militarize," Grevar said. "The chessboard has been set."

Caide scowled. "Not surprising. Yet, this may turn into a more serious conflict than we anticipated."

"Your people would support you in this war, sir," Grevar stated boldly. "Our primarily Catholic population is outraged by this incident. The majority of the people of Sanzuela want to free the innocent Catholics being persecuted."

"You know this country's primary policy of isolation, General," Caide shook his head. "Set down by our forefathers...the very men that made this country into what it is."

"Our men have been trained well," General Grevar held his head high, catching a glimpse of the Sanzuelan sunset. "They have been put through rigorous training in our harsh climates and landscapes, as you requested. They are ready for a fight."

"I am still skeptical about committing this country to a foreign war. Yet, Sanzuela will not fall back on our promise to the persecuted Catholics of Hogsweat." Caide's fiery eyes locked onto the General's. "General Grevar. Send two battalions of our best troops to aid the Tricantri forces on their side of the border. However, they are not to fire unless fired upon. Is that clear, General?"

Grevar gave a quick salute with a thrust of his arm. "Very clear, sir. Your orders will be carried out immediately. Expect troops to be mobilized for Tricantri within the next three days."

-Official Statement of the Protectorate of Sanzuela-

Sanzuelan forces have been mobilized to aid the nation of Tricantri, should fighting break out. Sanzuela will not throw the first blow, instead we are poised to defend against Hogsweat and uphold the cause of righteousness. Should the government of Hogsweat cease their actions against the Christian citizens of their nation, Sanzuela will immediately withdraw their forces from the area.

BLARGistania
13-06-2004, 01:02
Acting President Lashmi Iodavari watched the deployments of other nations carefully. She was acting as the President while Aleczander Hamion, the real leader of Blargistania was at the funeral of his friend and ally Premier DuFour (Communist Louisiana). She sighed, it looked like she would need to make good on her nation's threats to mobilize if Hogsweat was threatened. Iodavari pressed a small black button on the Presidential desk, summoning a meeting of the military heads of the nation.

A short while later in the conference center. . . .

Generals Andropev, Borstein, and Illyich as well as Admirals Jekis, Radburn, and Wells were present. Lashmi sat down at the head of the table and opened the conference.

"Ladies and Gentelmen, we have a situation arising on the Hogsweat front. It appears that several nations, Sanzuela, Akavir, All Great Emipires, and Tricantri have threatened mititary action. Several have already mobilized."

General Andropev pondered this for a moment before responding. "We're going to have to send troops to Hogsweat if we want to protect them and be seen as having some bite to our words."

"Yes, but how much, how long, and where?" Asked Jekis, brushing her hair out of her face.

"Five or Six divisions, One armored Corps, and Air Force Wing and a Navel Battle Squad should effectivly do it." responded Borstein "That should be a sufficient dissauder of hostile forces. After all, they are mostly young nations that cannot possibly match the tech that we have.

Admiral Wells began to scratch out some notes. Realizing he was being watched, he looked up. "Excuse me, I was just playing with forces for the moment. We can deploy the 2nd army which has 5 divisions and one special ops group in it. Augmenting them could be the Tiger Armored Brigade, the 51st airborne and the 3rd Navel Battle group. How does that sound?"

"I think you pegged it right on the money Admiral. Those are the forces that happen to be the closest as well as on active duty. Well everyone? Lashmi asked.

The assorted men and women nodded their heads in agreement, it seemed to be a good course of action.

Later that day the orders went out to the various military groups, they were to be deployed.

I can not believe what I have just read. A heinous act of genocide, justified in the name of Shakyamuni Buddha!? This is absolutely outreagous.

The P4lladian Technate can not sit idly by while you massacre innocent civilians and put a stain on the image of a large majority of the P4lladian people, myself included. Not just P4lladians, mind you, but all followers of the middle path. You are degrading us all, and horribly disrespecting the enligtened wisdom of the Buddha. Do what you want to Buddhists, but do NOT use what we hold in high regard as a justification for murder.

I hate killing people. I think it is the worst thing that I could ever be called upon to do, yet it is my job. My job is to defend the Technate and its people, and you are severely damaging our reputations, on top of needlessly taking the lives of innocents. Thus do I declare war on your once respectable nation, in hopes that it will cause you to reconsider. I hope to remain in a non-violent role in this conflict, and will do what I can to aid those who are fighting against you to the best of my capabilities. I must implore that you do not provoke the Technate, because we will be forced to kill. I don't want to order my men to kill any more than you want me to. So take advantage of our non-violence.

I concur with my P4lladian comrade, and my opinions on the subject have been summed up quite nicely by the P4lladiate's tact, decisive reasoning.

Any (further) violence on your part will result in a swift, divisive counter-attack by the Technate of Joshu. I hope that the knowledge that the entirety of Eness III A, along with its allies, will be somehow involved in any conflict that may arise will persuade the government of Hogsweat to reconsider its actions. I can also assure you of military action on the part of the Belly-Slashing State of Seppuko, a stern ally of the Technate.

I sincerely do not wish for this to result in any further violence. For the sake of the peoples of all nations involved in this, I implore the National Socialist Empire of Hogsweat to reconsider its actions, and take into account the possible effects this course of action could have upon the future.

"We of the People's Republic of Proletariat Comrades are sickened by such actions as the leaders of Hogsweat are currently taking. Does not the Internationale unite the human race? Why, then, are Hogsweatian citizens being discriminated against along religious lines? The only possible answer is that Hogsweat is not truly communist; rather, it is fast becoming a Buddhist theocracy led by dangerous extremists.

"Though we have been criticized for our lack of political freedoms in Proletariat Comrades, we consider religous freedom a serious matter, and a necessary part of civil rights. To oppress one religion is to simultaneously impose another, as is the case with Buddhism in Hogsweat. The Buddha taught messages of peace, many of them not so far off from the leader of the Christians, Jesus Christ. The hypocrisy of the Hogsweatian leaders in promoting Buddhism, while destroying Christianity, is thus astounding. We join with the majority of the world today, and especially with every true communist nation, in denouncing with the strongest words possible the actions taken by the despotic leaders of Hogsweat.

"However, we will not enter a war against Hogsweat, unless first attacked by her or her allies. Religions should not be oppressed, but neither should they be used as an instrument of war."

In high Earth orbit, a brightly glowing sphere appears for a second, then dissipates, leaving behind several simply-designed starships behind. Three military-commisioned transports (http://images.noyuo.com/transport.jpg) and two fully-armed, ground deployment capable escorts (http://images.noyuo.com/escort.jpg) carrying a small group of air/space fighters (http://images.noyuo.com/fighter.jpg) were visible. This was the P4lladian contribution towards the war. After getting their bearings, the five vessels engaged their forced-plasma drives and began to crawl towards the permanent LEO distribution and Earth-Eness liason vessel (http://images.noyuo.com/distribution-ship.jpg). The vessels would not take part in the war themselves, but would serve to provide a menacing stare towards Hogsweat. The transports, however, contained a great many things that would be put to immediate good use.

_Open Message to any Allies of the Technate against Hogsweat_
"This is Captain Akea of the MTS Chisou, a Military Transport from the P4lladian Technate. We have brought a few shiploads from Eness that we thought might be of use in the coming war, and there's more where this came from. We can land anywhere on the planet to deliver, or you can come up here to pick it up. A list is included with this message."

TRANSPORT ONE: MILITARY AID
XCZ-244A Assault Rifles
5.62mm ammunition
Advanced First Aid kits
Prefab Battlefield Infirmary structures
Fullerene Matrix body armor

TRANSPORT TWO: CIVILIAN AID
Temporary prefab housing
Advanced prefab hospital structures
Lots of food rations
Fresh water

TRANSPORT THREE: HUMAN TRANSPORT
600 seats for refugees
50 ARC-enhanced infantrymen (guards)

Do not be shy about asking for these services, though if you want to keep the guns and body armor I will expect compensation after the war. Falastur, I would like to request being able to land a transport near your Hogsweatian border to accept refugees (who will be taken back to Eness for safety). Joshu, thank you for your support. I will be glad to provide any interplanetary transportation your forces will require.

Proletariat Comrades, make no mistake, Hogsweat is neither Communist nor Buddhist. A nation ruled by Buddhists would seek to avoid killing, war and would respect the rights of everyone. Hogsweat is ruled by delusional lunatics that don't know what a Buddha is or what it means to follow the knowledge that he taught. I, too, wish to remain neutral, but the Technate has more than sufficient resources availible to it to help those that need help. My purpose is to bring aid to the Christians that manage to avoid the labor camps, and to peacefully assist other nations that wish to liberate the Christians that did not and put an end to this nonsense. I just hope that Hogsweat will accept this and not force me to take further measures.

So many nations rush to aid tortured citizens, how? by disfiguring and slaughtering, in essence torturing, those citizens who are not being oppressed - being the citizens of the Hogsweatian Armed Forces. Declaring war over such a thing is a remarkably hypocritical response! You react to the deaths of Christians by killing non-Christians? The only feasible path out of this, the only path out of this which will not cause more suffering, surely is by applying diplomatic pressure? Starting a war will damage many nations, and destroy others. Not only nations on the side of Hogsweat, but those against it. If nations want to solve this, they will have see that it can only sensibly be done through peaceful means. Falastur will not be mobilising its armed forces.

"However, this should not be taken in the wrong way. Falastur has a high level of military readiness, and any action against us would result in a declaration of war. We merely will not go to war when it is avoidable. I hope the International Community realises this, and follows the lead of Falastur."

The Technate of Joshu invites any and all refugees (Christian or not) in Hogsweat to find refuge in our nation until this conflict is resolved. We have sent three transports (WTF Wakka, WTF Bang, and WTF Fnord) to deliver humanitarian aid to anyone who needs it in this conflict. We would also like to make a request to Falastur to allow us to land a transport on your border, for the purpose of evacuating any and all refugees we can take. Our transports are fully equipped with medical supplies, should their use be required.

The transports are being kept under the watchful eye of two escorts, of the same make as those from P4lladia.

Also, we have our N1NJ4 orbital weapons platforms (http://images.noyuo.com/n1nj4.jpg) primed and ready to use against Hogsweat, should the need arise. However, we have no desire to utilize such a deadly arsenal, and would appreciate it if the Hogsweat military would not interfere with any humanitarian aid. The N1NJ4 is capable of firing on a target with a beam (only a few microns thick) that is precise within a range of ten meters, so they are not to be taken lightly.

Again, we would like to display our deepest wishes for this conflict to end without bloodshed. However, if the need arises, the nations of Eness III A are more than capable of swift action and are not to be trifled with. Hogsweat, we implore you to end this senselessness now, before the situation spirals out of control.

Blargistania, I have every intention to remain neutral. I simply want to help, and very much want to avioid a direct confrontation. There's already beeen enough of a loss of life thus far, I don't want to be responsible for any more of it on either side. I will defend my transports leaving Falastur, however, and my escort in orbit, but I don't forsee that being a problem.
(OOC: I'm entirely on another planet, so I had to use ships to get here. If I end up fighting anyone, it's going to be on the ground. My ships aren't even capable of orbital bombardment, unless you count the fighters)

Falastur, thank you for your cooperation. I'll be rotating the transports to get people out of the coming warzone as quickly as possible, I won't bother to fill up all the seats.

P4lladia -Blargistania will take every action possible to protect craft with refugees aboard. Our military presence in this sector is to merely deter others from launching an ill-advised invasion into Hogsweat. Any ship that wishes to pick up refugees will be allowed past our checkpoints without hesitiation. We can even provide armed escort for such transports. Should someone decide to invade Hogsweat however, they will be met with military force from the armies deployed here.

Joshu We can guarentee that the transports will not be harmed by our forces. It would still be wise of you to refrain from threatening violence though. Needless to say, we all want to avoid bloodshed, but, as stated before, violence will be met with violence.

I apologize if any of my comments seemed to be inflammatory. I have no wish for any violence to occur. I was simply stating that, should the need to retaliate arise, I am fully capable.

However, I do not wish for this to turn into a war, battle, or even a skirmish. It is my wish that this conflict end peacefully, with no bloodshed whatsoever...

Meanwhile, as the Seppukon speaks to the parties involved in an attempt to resolve the issue peacefully...

Ensign Apellido sat at his console, listening to the transmissions of the other transport ships, the WTF Waka and WTF Bang. He began to doze off due to the herculean amount of boredom involved in his job, when suddenly, something caught his attention. The transmissions from the WTF Bang became garbled, and through the sporatic static, Apellido thought he heard arguing and yelling. Suddenly, alarms went off on the bridge of his ship, the WTF Fnord. According to a random flunkie at another console, the WTF Bang had veered off-course. Apellido noticed that there were no transmissions at all coming from the WTF Bang, but soon forgot that as a horrible sight appeared on the viewscreen at the front of the bridge.

The WTF Bang collided with a nearby escort, the PTA Haretsu, in a slow and horrific scene that unfolded before the disbelieving ensign. The Bang was torn apart, its remains exploding at random in typical anime style, leaving the PTA Haretsu badly damaged.

With no shots fired, an entire transport was destroyed, and an escort indefinitely out of commission...

"Captain, the WTF Bang is behaving erraticly...I've lost communications, too." Lieutenant Audes reported to the captain of the escort-class PTA Haretsu.
The captain leaned over the lieutenant's control panel, then out the window at the transport ship, now heading straight for the escort.
"Try hailing them again! Are their engines malfunctioning?" The captain was reaching for an explanation.
"It's impossible. Comm says their radio is disabled, and I'm not getting any readings of malfunction, they're flying into us, captain!" The lietenant exclaimed nervously.
"Egad! Flight control, power up ... something! Move us out of the way!" The captain shrieked at the helmsman.
"There isn't enough time, the primary fusion reactor is offline for maintainence! We're not supposed to be moving around today..." The helmsman shrieked back, punching buttons on the console in front of him as the transport ship closed in.
"Engineering, this is the captain. Get the main reactor back on--" The transport ship collided with the escort squarely in the aft engineering section, separating it from the rest of the ship. The transport ship then exploded, losing containment on it's main reactor, severely damaging the escort. After the initial confusion, the bridge crew regained their composure (and lighting) and hailed the acting command ship.

"TDS Sol, this is the PTA Haretsu. A transport vessel has collided with us, we have several casualties and irrepairable damage..." The shaken comm officer rattled off.
"Haretsu, this is Shogun Uesama. Copy your damage report, we'll see what we can do." The shogun then prepared a communique to the Technate of Joshu regarding recent events.

I figured that I will be the first to inform you of this, but one of your transport vessels have collided with an escort under my command, killing several on board and terminally damaging the vessel. Luckily, the transport was empty of any passengers. From the looks of it, the collision was intentional, possibly as the result of a hijacking of some sort. In the interests of maintaining peace, we will officially declare it the result of a malfunction, but will investigate further.[/code:1:9cbcf54339]

Press Release from Czar Rekjyacih Ivan Andropov III

I condemn this persecution of the Christian Faith by people claiming to be Buddests. All Hogsweat people are to be arrested and placed in prison until temporary concentration camps may be in place. All diplomatic and economic ties with Hogsweat, should there be any, are closed until the situation is resolved. Also, all Buddests in Derscon are to suffer the same fate as Hogsweatian people in Derscon. All borders in Derscon are to be closed immediately unless escorted by Dersconian Military Personell. All those trying to leave or enter will be destroyed completely. Although I regret rounding these people up, I believe it is necessary for the time being.

I also urge the International Community to condemn Hogsweatian actions and then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Do not just sit idly by and shake your finger. No, I do not mean invade him. I call for a coilition to impose an enforced blockade of the island of which Hogsweat is located until reparations are made.

Again, I regret having to round up these people, but I believe it is necessary for this to occur. Good Night, and God Bless Derscon.

STAR OFFICE

THe cameras turned off and the Czar left towards the Council Room. Once he shut the door behind him, he looked at Sith Lord Adolf Hitler. "Have your Waffen SS troops round up all Hogsweatian people and all Buddists."
"There are no concentration camps, though," Hitler responded.
"Wrong," Yuri Ivanovich, the Minister of Interior, said. "There is a couple, disguised, and not being used. The largest one is at Denver International Airport. The large bunker system is actually a large concentration camp built about twenty years ago. We figured we would probably be needing some, so after all the concentration camps were shut down and destroyed, we built new things to hide them until the proper time."
"Okay," Hitler said. "Where's DIA?"
"Easy to find," the Minister of the Interior said with a smile. "Just look from the air around Denver. The airport is surrounded by a chainlink fence with barbed wire, in the shape of a pentagram, and the runways are in the shape of a swastica. Can't miss it."
"Excellent," Hitler said. "I will get right on it."
"Keep it underground, no pun intended," the Czar said. "I don't want the International Community to catch wind that we have concentration camps, still. Once you ship them to the secret ones, we can construct new ones on top of the ruins of some old ones. Then we ship them there, so everyone gets fooled," the Czar finished.
"Good," Hitler replied. "Let's roll."

Shogun Uesama finished his letter to Joshu, and began to browse the list of news relevant to the conflict at hand. The shogun happened upon, and read, Derscon's press release, which he promptly forwarded to the Palladiate.

Czar Andropov, this is absolutely absurd. To condemn Hogsweat's actions while seconds later ordering the imprisonment of your own innocent citizens is the epitome of hypocrisy and a startlingly backwards violation of human rights. I'm shocked and appauled that any nation civilized enough to recognize the wrongness of Hogsweat's actions would do this.

Hogsweat's citizens are not the problem, its corrupt, deranged leaders are. This is not some sort of anti-Christian conspiracy by Buddhists, we would never concieve of such a horrible thing! Like I said before, the Hogsweatians are not Buddhists in any sense of the word, they are simply lunatics reaching for justification, which truly and deeply offends me and the nation that I represent. If you truly can not stand having these innocent, harmless people in your nation, I will gladly grant them asylum as I have with Hogsweat's Christian population.

I also must warn you against constructing concentration camps. I will not allow you to have them, and I would take action against Hogsweat's if they were not populated.

I see how you view this as hypocracy, and knew it would be called hypocracy. My hopes are to get him, though imprisioning his own people, he will release the Christians. With the other Buddists, I do look back on it and find it not necessary and wrong, and will most likely release them. MY actions are in hopes of that he will back down so his own people are not imprisioned and/or killed. If this does not work, then other action will be taken.

"No, sir."
"Okay, change of plans. Do not round up the Buddists. Make sure every Hogsweatian person IS rounded up and shipped to DIA. Make it look like it is just a prision transport. Make sure no one finds out about the underground concentration camp."
"Yessir." Hitler left the room and went to give his orders.
"Now, Franz," the Czar said, turning to the Foreign Minister.
"Yessir?" he replied.
"Issue a statement apologizing for the roundup of Buddists, but make sure everyone understands that the Hogsweatian people stay in prision and will not be released until Hogsweat releases the Christians. Urge the international community to do the same, but to that secretly."
"That is just like hostage taking, sir!" Franz von papen said.

Derscon, this is acceptable. Though the imprisonment of what I assume are innocent Hogsweatians does not bode will with me, I also assume that their numbers in your nation are rather small, and will not pursue this in the interests of peace. We have a bigger problem to deal with, namely Hogsweat, and we should focus our attention and resources to that. All I ask is that you can assure me that you will merely detain the expatriates, and will not harm or mistreat them. (secret: there are no Hogsweat visitors in the Technate, save for the small amounts of Christian refugees trickling in. I will not encourage other nations to imprision anyone without a trial, but I won't stop you, so long as they are treated as POWs and not harmed in any way.)

Nations allied with Hogsweat, I understand where you're coming from, the appeal of the Christian faith eludes me as well, but can't understand how you would be willing to send them to labor camps and thus to their impending doom. If you want to be rational and logical about this, you would condemn Hogsweat's action regarding its total disregard for human rights and for hiding behind a false religious justification themselves. Nobody deserves to die, certainly not Christians, even if their belief system is entirely nonsensical. Reason can be taught peacefully through education and a progressive, prosperous society, not through warfare and genocide. Though not a primary goal, the Technate has effectively "beaten out" any type of god-worshipping religion among its population, and all it took was time and a stable, prosperous society. Nobody was harmed, nobody was forced to convert. Practicality and reason overcame fear, uncertainty and belief in invisible people in the sky because the very basis of our society is that of constant betterment through science and rational thought. People reconsider what they believe in when a better alternative is ever-present. Set a good example, don't kill people.

It is with great distress that we have learned of the actions of the
government of Hogsweat. Regardless of the religion of the oppressors or the
oppressed, the Ytovian people denounce these actions as unenlightened and evil.
However, we ask other nations to refrain from further bloodshed and to try to
resolve this current crisis through diplomatic means.

It is the policy of the Ytovian government and the desire of the Ytovian people
to welcome all who flee oppression into our borders. We expect that the
Christians seeking refuge in our country may find a home among our 312 million
evangelicals, our 89 million Catholics, or our many other smaller Christian
communities. We will also accomodate those that wish to flee to other
countries.

We will be sending the Claudius Galen near Hogsweatian waters to aid in

Furthermore, again, if we choose to blockade Hogsweat, I must implore all that no violent actions will take place, especially nothing that would result in a full-scale war on our hands.

This will just be a few IC notes since I don't feel up to a long IC post.

To all nations blockading It would be in your best interest to let the Blargistanian military vessels through. They do not seek war, merely passage. As much as we are in disagreement with the Hogsweatian motives, we recognize that it is their nation's policy and as such, should be protected. Hogsweat is fully capable of defending itself, our military will simply augment that defence. Do not invade, you will not be harmed. Do not fire, you will not be fired upon. We will do our best to remove refugees from Hogsweatian lands.

Hogsweat The Blargistanian military deployment (second page, I think) seeks permission to land at one of your ports and to begin to set up defensive positions to augment your homeland military. As soon as this situations resolves itself, your military will pack up and leave. We would also implore you to turn all christians over to us so that we may transfer them to your borders for pickup by other nations. You get rid of your chrisitans and nobody dies from either side. Simple.

Blargistania, despite what you may think of my involvement in this, I entirely consider you to be my ally in this matter. This is not worth a bloody war over, and you seek to avoid it. I respect that, and consider it a necessary precaution against any crazed warhawks. Though I encourage a blockage, your ships can enter and leave freely. In fact, the only ships that I propose be blocked are trade vessels. Military ships can be destroyed if they become hostile if necessary, but merchants and businessmen won't risk their lives (or their cargos). You can't feed people with guns, and it's only a matter of time before Hogsweat figures this out and stands down.

Magdha, yes, this is the entire basis of the Technate's involvement in this affair. We are a predominantly Buddhist nation, and because of this we feel we must defend the honor of Buddhists and show that Hogsweat's leaders are not following the middle path. We also find the treatment of Christians appauling and are doing all we can to help, but truth be told, we wouldn't be here if it didn't so deeply hurt us, seeing people claiming to be Buddhists deviating so far from the truth and making other think that we are capable of the heinous crimes that Hogsweat is undertaking. You can, and should, remain entirely neutral, but don't "respect their decisions" because of their claimed religious affiliation. This is not a decision that can be respected. I thoroughly encourage nations involved in trade with Hogsweat to cease until this conflict is resolved, and also again encourage all nations involved in this conflict to strive to avoid violence in the interests of avoiding war.

... On Behalf of the Holy Republic, I would like to make a statement ... We are appalled by the actions of the Hogsweat governing body to persecute those with different cultural views. The balance will sureley be upset by the actions of Hogsweat. To my nation, I ask for bonds to help aid the liberation of the christians, which will go to the military forces opposing Hogsweat. If the people allow it, we will also mobilise our own forces against Hogsweat, aiming to destroy said camps and release those persecuted.

For Hogsweat to justify thier actions by claiming it was done in the name of Budha is outlandish. Budha taught nothing of the sort, and even so, he was wise, but not a god. He had never proclaimed himself this.

To those in Hogsweat we offer refugee facilities. To those opposing we offer financial backing. To Hogsweat, we offer port barricades as well as our own oppsosing forces.

May the balance tip in our favor.

Thank you, my nation.

This is looking good so far. We now have an effective blockade in place (of course, there is always room for improvement), which may very well do the trick. If Blargistania can successfully remove the Christians from Hogsweat, our job is done and nobody will have fired a shot. I would like this to end that way.

Father Quaimonda thought long and hard as he darted fervently through the blackened streets on his way to the safe house. Was he doing the right thing? He would surely be labeled a terrorist and murderer for this. The police were merely following orders, did they deserve the suffering and death that would be visited on them when the bomb went off? What difference would it make if he destroyed a single police station? But, who were these so called leaders that demanded Christians be rounded up? Sure, Quaimonda and his flock of 140 odd people could flee to safety in another country. But what about their land, their possessions? Hadn't Quaimonda's family lived here for over 200 years? Maybe this act on his part would cause the other Christians to rise up and throw off the yoke of oppression. With his 140 followers and their contacts in the faith, and their contacts in the faith, and so on, surely a small army could be raised in opposition and tonight would be the catalyst to the holy war to follow. Contiued covert funding from Mauiwowee and the potential for armed intervention on their behalf from Yugolsavia would only ensure their cause succeeded Quaimonda could end up being labeled a hero, not a terrorist killer.

Quaimonda's thoughts were interrupted and he froze, saying a little prayer asking for forgiveness. It was too late to wonder if it was the right thing to do. The bomb, an almost 300 lb copy of the Oklahoma City fertilizer bomb, had detonated. The war had begun, like it or not.

AP - Testifying before a House of Royals subcommittee on covert military operations, Gen. Jack T. Ripper, Army head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for King 'Lude of Mauiwowee, acknowledged today that funding and covert operations managers had been made available to CLF (the Christian Liberation Front) in Hogsweat. "Religious intolerance of any kind cannot be accepted" said General Ripper. "A decision was made to assist CLF in obtaining religious freedom for the Christians in Hogsweat." An anonymous source within General Ripper's staff acknowledged later that at least 15 covert operations managers had been smuggled into Hogsweat to train CLF members in the making of bombs and the carrying out of covert, terrorist like, activities. Additionally, over $25,000,000.00 in cash had been smuggled into Hogsweat for use by CLF in funding their operations.
CLF has accepted responsibility for the huge bomb that went off outside a police station in Hogsweat last night and warned that more will follow. "This is a holy war for freedom of religion for all people" announced Father Quaimonda, unofficial head of CLF in an internet posting. "Christians of Hogsweat must rise up and accept the aid of Mauiwowee and overthrow the oppressors. All people should have a right to worship as they see fit. We have never tried to prohibit the Buddists from following their beliefs. Why should they now decide we are a threat. This is Nazism at its worst and it must be stopped. We will continue our attacks until the government restores us to our rightful positions as citizens in this country."

Most merciful leaders of Hogsweat, I have been granted permission to speak on Behalf of Sultan Mohammed Bin Al Deeb.

I am considered to be the religous authority in the minds of the Bedou people. I am obviously muslim, so the natural conclusion is that I have no particular fondness for Christians.
However, as Muslims we respect them as a people of the Book.
Children of Abraham.
Your nation is Buddhist, while we consider your national religion to be more philosophical and less theological. We are as Muslim obligated to respect your right to not observe the truth of Allah.
The point where we can not do this is when a people of Allah are threatened.
The Christians are followers of Allah, though they do not recieve all the prophecies they are in there hearts commited to the one God.
So as Muslims who follow the ancient codes we are obligated to act on their behalf.
I as I stated am the religious leader of the Bedou Nomads.
I volunteer to come to your nation, to negotiate the release of the Christians currently imprisoned.
I am certain you would agree that Buddha would not refuse a dialogue among differing veiws if only to further stimulate the self to advance the groth of spirit on the path to enlightenment and eventual emptiness.
We ask for the famous Compassion of Buddha to be upon your hearts.
The Prophets blessings be upon you.

BLARGistania - I admit to being new to the game, but I tried really hard to make sure it I was not God-Moding. My country is small but I believe what I've said we did was reasonable. Also, why, in the situation that Hogsweat set up, would it be illogical to assume some radical christian group determined to fight back might not arise, seek aid and engage in terrorist activities? Is this not, in many ways, what radical muslims are doing in the middle east, fighting back against governments that they view as being evil in light of their religious beliefs? If I"m God-Moding I apologize, but I was just trying to spice up the conflict with some terrorist actions. All I said I did was blow up a bomb outside a police station. I've left it for Hogsweat to say what the total effect was and I've also left myself open for reprisals by countries such as yours determined to protect Hogsweat's soveriegnty.

This is just some catch-up because I never really got around to RPing deployments.

The advance forces of the 2nd army dropped into Hogsweatian airspace from the Pelican dropships around 2200 hours, local time. The 5,000 special operations troops immediatly began the trek to the borders of Hogweat to set up intial defense positions. Sniper Posts and infared monitoring stations were set up among the likely border areas that could serve as invasion points. The troops spread out over roughly 500 miles of terrain, settling in to serve as intial suppression, scouts, and advance warning for Hogsweat and Blargistanian forces in the case of an invasion.

The remaining Blargistanian forces wait offshore for Hogsweatian permission to land and deploy.

When your people begin to starve, perhaps you will reconsider your position on genocide. Do not engage my allies' ships or my patrols, or I will be forced to fall back on my promise, which I don't want to do.

Blargistania (secret), Hogsweat may threaten the blockade with deadly force. I will not encourage my allies or will I myself remove the blockade, there is no other solution to this. Lieutenant Trent Palmer looked out from the deck of the Claudius Galen as another Chinook helicopter landed on Helipad 3. As he had done with every helicopter that had landed there, he rushed over to the crew while pulling a photograph out of his pocket. He showed the picture to everyone he could get a hold of.

"Have you seen this woman? Any sign of her?"

The crew shook their heads, to his disappointment. They escorted a woman--covered in a blanket and soaking wet--from the chopper. He shoved the picture in her face.

"Have you seen this woman? Please tell me you've seen her!"

The woman's eyes brightened a bit. "Yes, I have seen her. She's visited with my church. Such a nice woman! It was truly a blessing to have her."

"Do you know where she is?"

"No, she travelled to another church--the one in Elarta, I think. That was a few days before the madness started." She paused. "I take it you know her. Are you a brother?"

Trent understood that she was asking if he was a follower of Christ. "Yes, I am. And that woman is my wife."

A big smile broke out on the woman's face as she embraced Trent. "Praise be to God! Not only has he rescued me from the chaos in my country, but I am with 'family'."

Trent returned the hug, but his eyes drifted toward the Hogsweatian coastline. He wished his military obligations hadn't interfered at the last minute, and he could have accompanied his wife of the short term visit his church had arranged with several Hogsweatian churches. She was still somewhere in that country, where suddenly people were paying the ultimate price for being a follower of Christ. He mouthed her name, "Christine", and said a silent prayer for her safety.

OOC -
Quaimonda is a Hogsweatian national and a Christian who realized what you were doing quickly and acted to "protect" his "flock." He sent an encrypted (per "PGP") e-mail message to Mauiwowee. The recipient of the E-Mail contacted Mauiwowee's Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Jack T. Ripper with the information about Hogsweat's decision to round up Christians. Gen. Ripper discussed the issue with King 'Lude who authorized covert operations in the name of religious freedom. One of Mauiwowee's submarines (Pennsylvania Class) managed to slip by your coastal defenses and sent a team of Mauiwowee's SEALS in with Haliburton cases of cash and bomb-making expertise and the information needed to contact Quaimonda.

Feel free to RP the capture of our SEAL team (or at least some of them) and the identifying of Quaimonda as the leader of a terrorist cell. Of course you are free to decide what effect the bomb on the police station had. I've only said it went off and how big it was. Don't you think the idea of a terrorist cell with outside support opposing your policy on Christians just makes this a little more fun and challenging?

I'll even spice it up for your acceptance of the idea. See my next post, if acceptable, lets go for it.

================
Captain Sluggemuphin looked his C.O. in the eye over dinner in the officer's mess.

"Look, we're under orders from the Admiral himself 'get the SEALs and their equipment in.' However, I have a responsibility to this crew. Do you think we can get in under the blockade without alerting Hogsweat? What will the other nations do if they detect us?"

"I don't know" the C.O. replied. "but isn't it worth the risk? We're now less than 200 miles off Hogsweat's coast. Our stealth "sub jet" engines run as quiet as any boat's engines in the world. The SEALS can make it in from only 5 miles out if we surface in the dark. And isn't Quiamonda counting on us? What I'm more afraid of than getting in with the team is getting out. Quiamonda is a radical. If we're not out of the blockade by the time he launches his first attack, we may be trapped here or discovered. I say we go in, but get out as soon as the SEALs are deployed."

"It's risky, but if you agree we can make it in, its the getting out that will be tricky, I'll authorize it." answered Sluggemuphin.

"I think we'll be OK, just run silent and do a quick surface from maximum depth" the C.O. replied.

"OK" said Sluggemuphin, "let's make it happen. Full alert status is authorized, get the SEALs ready. Let's do this."

AP- The Kingdom of Mauiwowee acknowledged today that their Pennsylvania Class Submarine, the Karras was missing at sea and is approximately 7 days overdue and is now presumed missing and lost at sea. The Karras has a crew compliment of over 130 and was last seen at sea approximately 300 miles off the coast of Hogsweat where it was said to be engaged in naval exercises related to deep sea search and rescue operations. Apparently it is now in need of such operations itself. The government of Mauiwowee has declined all comment stating only that it wishes to assure the families of crewmembers that it is doing all it can to determine what happened to the sub and its crew. Hogsweatian officials have been contacted regarding the disapearance of the Karras however, no reply has been forthcoming as of yet. Meanwhile, the standoff over Hogsweat's crackdown on Christians continues amid much international controversy.

=============================

Council Room

With both the Czar and the General Staff Commander in Kalessin for a Metus Summit, command was left to the Field Marschall Frederick von Hindenburg, CommanderInChief of the Dersconian Army. Sitting to his side was the fill-in SecondInCommand, the CommanderInChief of the Dersconian Luftwaffe, Supreme General Ramius Aerostalvich. "Okay," FM Hindenburg said. "What is the update with the Hogsweatian situation?"

"The update." General George Patton, commander of Derscon First Corps -- the largest Corps employed in the military. "Hogsweat is not backing down and releasing the Christians. Also, they are not handing them over to other nations. Hogsweat has also threatened the use of force against the blockade --"

"What is the blockade made of anyway?" Hindenburg asked.

"The Blockade," Supreme Admiral Marko Herkyavich, CommanderInChief of the Dersconian Navy started. "Consists of P4lladia ships, although a definite count has not been reached, and Dersconian Fleets One and Two, as far as we know. I haven't looked in to it, really," Herkjyavich responded.

"Well," Hindenburg said. "How close is Fleet Three?"

"Fleet Three?" Herkjyavich reiterated. "About a day and a half. Why?"

"Send them over to aid the blockade," Hindenburg ordered. "And how close is the nearest Lemurian Atlantis Base?" Hindenburg smiled as he said that. the LABs are the most deeply held secret of the Dersconian Earth Military. Herkjyavich's eyes went a little wide at the mention of the LABs.

"I have no idea. There's only one place with the map of the LABs, and that is at the Dersconian Military Command Center. Who knows if I'll even be allowed IN. The orders have to come from hte Czar himself to open the gates." The Derscon Military Command Center was a bunker (very, very, very, very, very, very....) deep underground in an unknown location. Everyone that knew where it was was killed. It is connected to various important areas via underground supersonic bullet trains. It is the most secure place in all of Derscon -- virtually untouchable. Even multiple consecutive drops of bunker buster bombs could not even scratch the surface of the DMCC. People are confident of that because it was tested.

"Besides," Herkjyavich continued. "None of them have been active since the war with Hutu, and that was when Andropov II was in power, and that was a LONG time ago. I wonder if some of them are still useable."

"That has got to change," General Eric von Blomberg, CommanderInChief of Dersconian Strateigic Assets. "The LABs are what gives Derscon naval superiority. THey allow us to strike when and where we please. THey are essential to the stealthy deployment of Dersconian Naval vessals."

"I agree," Hindenburg said. "But, as Herkjyavich said, we'll have to take up the Czar on that, and if we even mention LABs somewhere where security is not gaurenteed, he'll have our heads."

"Right," Herkjyavich said. "So, send over Third Fleet?"

"Yes," Hindenburg said. "Right away."

Situation Room, Military Complex, Presidential Buildings
Calgary, 0524 HRS

The President had quickly ran over to the situation room as an important meeting was called by the War Cabinet and it seemed rather urgent to attend too, something by the alignment of genocide by religious beliefs.

The young-aging President was stirled by this statement made by his Secretary of National Defense, hopefully it was not too late for the United States of Canada to intervene to put a stuff to this malfunctional form of inhumane treatment.

It was directly clear in the current Canadan Foreign Policy and his doctrine, The Wittrock Doctrine was against any such form of genocide and the breaking of the international human rights.

The President placed his hand on the scanner of course to make sure if was one of the only few people who had access to this room, as he entered and the door quickly locked bolted quickly as he stared around the room as he needed a coffee, "Some one pour me a coffee -"

The Secretary of State stood by the coffee machine, "How would you -"

The President walked towards him, "Straight, Mister Rendall."

Rendall quickly poured him a coffee and handed it over to the President, "Your -"

"Thank you, Rendall." As the President quickly made his way to the head of the table, "Thank you for being all kind this morning," As he looks over to the Secretary of National Defense, "You said something about genocide by religious beliefs. What did you mean by the context of that, Mister Harvey?"

The elderly man stood up as he took the remote control and gave the room a picture shot from what he was given by the Director of Canadan National Intelligence Agency (CNIA) and Military presence. The pictures from the CNIA were disturbing as people were shot and burned alive, other pictures were massive fires and grave sites of the hundreds to thousands of people who lost their lives, "This is not as bad as what happened in Yugoslavia in the early nineteen nineties, Mister President. However this is sick."

"Thank you.. for the slide show," As the President took a sip of his coffee placing it back down on the table, "Now ladies and gentelmen. What religious group is the victim?"

The Director of the CNIA frowned, "Mister President you don't want to hear this -"

"Of course, I am the President of the United States of Canada! I have the right to know what is happening around this god forsaken world! Now tell me who the damn has those awful intentions in placing these people in humane torture and a group of them in front of firing squads?" The President clearly outbursted as he took along sip of his coffee,"Rendall, poor me another one!"

"Yes, Mister President." Rendall quickly grabbed the mug and went back to pour him another cup.

"Mister President," The Director of the CNIA spoke again, "They are members of Christianity that are being executed on the spot."

The President glared and frightened as he looked at the Director for a few minutes as he couldn't believe what came out of his mouth, "Come again, Mister Director of the CNIA?"

"They are Christians!"

The President was now outraged, he was a Reformed Presbyterian and absolutely hated this fact, "Alright. Get me some time on the media and have it internationally. I want these pictures to be shown, the people of the United States of Canada and the world deserves what to see."

More to come..

The President had drank over seven cups of coffee now, one after another it would be a rather long day for him to come up with a strategy and looks over to the CNIA, "I want you to pull out all of our operatives swiftly from Hogsweat, immediately. The last thing I want is to have a hostage situation on our hands."

The Director of the CNIA stood to his feet, "Yes, sir! I'll do it right now."

The Head of the CNIA quickly left the Situation Room.

Press Room, Media Complex, Presidential Buildings
Calgary, 0930 HRS

The President stood behind his podium as he began to speak, "The people of the free world and the citizens of the United States of Canada. There has been a great atrocity in the works in the nationstate of Hogsweat in the genocide of members of the faith of Christianity, which our government policy has been based upon. Therefore we will take arms to protect our brothers and sisters in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and other religious minorities in this state and across the world.

"Just this morning, I witness a very disturbing slide show presentation done by the Canadan National Intelligence Agency and the Intelligence operations done by the Canadan Military. We are going to place these on press, because the Government of the United States of Canada wishes for the world and our country to see this greatest atrocity in the works around our world that we never heard of until this day."

All the pictures roll through on the television sets across the country and few around the world. President Wittrock continued, "We'll be taking drastic measures closely, there is already a movement by other Christian or other nations to protect the freedom of religion around the world. We will be among them to join them.

"We'll send troops to free these people of this mistreatment by their government and set up a democratic government to protect the basic human rights that Hogsweat has broken. That is all for now, your President. Have a good morning, Canada!"

Strapped for time, so time for some OOC notes!

-P4lladia has no ships in the blockade of our own. Our nation is based on another planet, so it'd be impossible for us to move them. Instead, we have an elaborate network of satellite imagery and sea-based sensor buoys to detect ships, as well as extensive fighter patrols in the area.

-All ships except merchant ships will be allowed through the blockade no questions asked. Trade vessels headed toward Falastur are also allowed, but must pass a quick identification process. Trade ships heading toward Hogsweat will be told to turn around, or disabled if necessary.

-We can see your sub, but we're not doing anything about it because it doesn't pertain to the purpose of the blockade, which is to cut off Hogsweat economically.

I'll be back eventually with another "we hate you and want to kill you but won't because it's bad for our karma" post!

0800 Hours - Sai-Kong dock

The eighteen destroyers, five battleships, and two carriers floated at a rate of 18 KPH out of the dock - the sun rising in the west as the 1st fleet began its departure of death from the Sai-Kong military dock. The guns were loaded - the massive 20" cannons of the rising sun swivelling, practicing...practicing for battle.

It doesn't seem right..
Admiral King-So reflected. But then again, it was his governments choice, and as one party state the government held the power. Anyway, it wasnt his decision. Why should he be feeling bad? His brief reflection was interrupted when the comm ensign shouted out to him-
Sir! incoming message from 2nd fleet and 3rd fleet
King-so replied quickly
Patch him through ensign
The welcoming voice of Admiral Tung-Kao crackled onto the microphone.
King-So! We've rounded the cape, and by the look of it when the assault begins we should easily break them. By that time we should have shown them not too mess with us
King-So replied with a quick acknowledgement, and then after looking around, he held the microphone close to his mouth.
Tung, im not gonna like this one bit. It doesnt seem.. right what we will do
The voice came back.
You've been warned King - that attitude to warfare will cost you your brass.
the admiral replied heavily.
I know Tung.. but.. lets just get on with it
Agreed

The comm chat ended, and the fleets steamed ahead just outside the DMZ waters.

0600-blacksquare, liniguines

A crowd gathers curiously in the Blacksquare of the RSN's capitol, they see a man in his forty's hooded on a stage of black marble. a another man steps up to the stage but this time pulls out a scroll signed by the nations dictator himself Santos liniguine, the man begins to speak. "This mourning the nation of Hogsweat has openly insulted are country by declaring that of all christians as evil.!" He pauses from the scroll and looks over to the hooded man than looks back and continues reading. "Such an insult is this beause the mandatory religion as a political leader is roman catholic, and so by the orders of our leader himself we shall openly execute all Hogsweat citizens curently in the RSN by way of shotgun to the forehead." the crowd does not falter fore they have executions of this type annualy, so it has come to be of little horror. the man reading the scroll notions to another man but instead of holding a scroll, is holding a double barrel 12 guage shotgun. The man lifts his weapon to the hooded mans head, and without delay, pulls the trigger. The man with the scroll begins to talk again. "The dictator would also like to inform the familys in RSN that if they have any christian relatives in Hogsweat, than that the RSN would be pleased to bring he or she back from Hogsweat by means of negotiations or even war. Thank you." The Crowd files out and all that is left is the remains of that one Hogsweat citizen.

Captian's Log, H.M.S. Karras

We managed to offload the first SEAL team of 5 at approximately 01:00 hours and presumably they made it ashore undetected. However, before we could offload the 2nd and 3rd teams it appeared we were tagged by sonar or radar of some kind. We can't be sure whether it was Hogsweatian or from one of the Blockade ships. I've ordered maximum submersion and have moved down Hogsweat's coast approximately 14 miles from our position at the time of the sonar tag. Hopefully, if we were truly identified, they will expect us to be putting out to sea instead of staying in close to the coast line. We are now at full stop and operating in silent running mode at maximum depth. I intend to stay here for the next 24 hours to ensure that we have not been truly identified. I've already notified the other SEAL teams that their mission is considered aborted at this time. We are not supposed to be here and I can't risk this ship and crew in direct battle at this time. Assuming all remains calm, we will try to slip out and under the blockade in 24 hours and return to a safe distance at sea. I'm concerned about what Hogsweat's navy intends to do about the blockade. We don't want to get trapped in a battle between Hogsweat's navy and the blockade's ships.

"Look Quiamonda" said Mauiwowee SEAL team leader, Col. Asa "Flippers" Jackson, "when you engage in this type of warfare, a lot of what you have to do is learn to be patient and play the waiting game. You'll get antsy, but you have to learn to act with calm and in measured responses. You know the bomb detonated, you heard it. You must wait for the official government announcements on the attack so you can truly gauge what their response is going to be before you go off half-cocked and attempt another attack. Wait and watch, that is what we do for now."

A wing of PTA fighters flew through their patrol as they had done for the past week, close enough to Hogsweat as to see the coastline and hills of the island. It was the dead of night, but the holodisplays in the cockpits of the fighters lit up the sea while sensor buoys floating in the water below them showed everything around, all the way down to the fish in the sea and the crews of the ships in the blockade.

"Unauthorized craft, 3 o'clock. Anybody have an ID?" A pilot of one of the fighters called to his wingmen.
"No ID, look to be from Hogsweat. What do you suppose they're up to?" A wingman called back.
"Probably making good on their promise from earlier. Forward sensor data to base, we're moving in." The fighters changed course to intercept. "This is PTA Fighter Patrol 772, calling the Hogsweat fleet. What business do you have away from your port? We strongly urge you to stand down immediately and go home."

A group of 8 fighters, the same model as those under P4lladia's command, received a command as they patrolled the blockade, from an unexpected and important source: The Seppukon himself.

"According to intelligence courtesy of P4lladia, some ships from Hogsweat are heading towards the blockade, and a small contingency of Palladian fighters have been sent on an intercept course. Now, what I need you to do is head on over to their position, just in case they need the backup. These are the coordinates..." The Seppukon said, surprising the pilots of the fighters.

"Uh, sir, if I may be so bold... Why are you giving us these orders directly, sir?"

"Not bold at all. The reason I'm handling this directly is because this is the first operation we've had directly with Earth, and it's of the utmost importance. Besides, it gets boring here in the capital. Needed something to do. Now get over there."

The fighters acknowledged the order, and banked in the direction of the Palladian fighter group, and possibly the beginning of Eness III A's first off-planet conflict.

The Admiral looked at the sonar reading from the CIC in the flagship. "Well, boys, it looks like we've got company. Who's the nearest sub?"

"It looks, sir, like the nearest sub is one of the new Berlin-class fast-attack subs."

"Berlin-class?" the Admiral asked.

"Right. Jet powered. Virtually undetectable to sonar. Has a backup nuclear reactor, though."

"Hmm," the admiral said. "And that is why I can barely see it on the sonar?"

"Correct," the sonarman said.

"Good thing we got that underwater comm system. Tell him to ping the sub, get the torps ready to fire, and get the hell to somewhere other than he was."

"Yessir." The Comm officer gave the orders to the sub, and returned to the CIC.

"Put the fleet on DEFCON TWO, Red," the Admiral ordered.

"Yessir."

"Captian, you might want to have a look at this!" the Comm officer said. The Captain came over and looked at the orders. "Well, damn. Oh well. Jonesey! Ping that bastard on my signal!"

"Aye Aye, sir!" the sonarman said. The Captain walked to the bridge and gave the person at the wheel the bearings to turn to at his signal. He then got on the comm system to the engine room.

[code:1:53d2f7bde3]SWITCH TO NUCLEAR ENGINE![/code:1:53d2f7bde3]

He then gave the orders to the bridge. "Full power! Go to the bearings!"

"Aye, full power!" came the reply as the sub made its way out.

"Jonsey, ping'em!"

"Aye!" Jonsey sent the sonar blip and ping'd the submarine as the sub sped away. Three-quarters of the way there, the captain ordered the man at the wheel to halfway complete a Crazy Ivan. A quarter of the way through, the engines were switched back to the upgraded catepillar system, and they proceeded to go to the port side of the sub-in-question.

"What the hell?" the sonarman said. He watched the whole thing with the Captain peering over his shoulder. When the blip disappeared, the Captain shook his head. "Only one Sub Captain is crazy enough to do that, and that is Morris.

It is our understanding that you may have information about what has happened to our submarine, the Karras last seen in your area conducting deep sea rescue training operations. We have lost contact with the sub and its Captain and need to determine what has happened. We would appreciate any information you are willing to supply us about the Sub's last know position according to your intelligence. Note, we support your blockade of Hogsweat and if you wish, we will gladly send a ship or two as support. Unfortunately, as a small nation, we don't have the resources to engage in an all out war with Hogsweat or contribute more than a single bud-class submarine or single carrier to the blockade (though as many as 2 battleships and a destroyer may be possible if requested). Please let us know how we might help in this regard. From our information, you are clearly the de facto leader of the blockade and opposition to Hogsweat's intolerable actions.

We spotted your sumbarine on a suspiciously deep course towards the shores of Hogsweat. It showed up on our detection grid for about 20 minutes before we lost interest, though we believe it is still somewhere near the coast, sensors would have seen it leave. Sensor readings are fuzzy near the coastline due to all the activity there, though we can run a few deeper scans to look for it. The way things are going right now, I doubt we'd cause much trouble flying closer to them. Just give me the word.
I am very pleased that you approve of my actions, I have been trying my hardest to overcome my frustration and seek a reasonable, bloodless solution. You are welcome to contribute anything you deem appropriate, though you would probably do best to keep your involvement to a minimum, I don't want to see anyone else die in this.[/code:1:4a3a84777f]

Derscon, be gentle! My fighter patrols are circling them like vultures, they're not going anywhere without me being right on top of them. In the interests of peace I am going to assume that they are performing a routine excersize, and I have not yet encountered any hostility from them, aside from some sailors coming on deck and giving my pilots the finger. Now is the time for observation, don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes!

The Admiral was watching the sonar display in the Combat Information Center, and when it was over, he laughed. "That worked. What's the readout, other than the fact we scared the shit out of them?"

"Mauiwowee sub, sir," the sonarman said.

"What the hell?"

"Routine training exersise is what everyone is saying, sir," the comm officer states.

"Routine training excersise my ass!" the Admiral said. "And why are they doing this where hostilities will most likely be involved?"

"Good question," the XO said. "It was heading TOWARDS Hogsweat. You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Special Ops?" the Admiral said with his eyebrow raised.

"Right on the dot," the XO said. "I bet that's what it is." The Admiral smiled a little after thinking a bit.

"Well, let's see, here. Mauiwowee Special Ops, P4lladia aircraft, and our blockade. You know, I think we are the only nation involved in the naval blockade!"

"Well, this'll be interesting. Derscon Fleets One, Two and Three verses Hogsweat Fleets One, Two and Three."

Outside Earth's Atmosphere

The Dersconian Cosmonaval Battle Fleet One was hovering above Hogsweat at the moment. The masses of space ships were just....there, doing nothing, as if waiting for something.
------------------------------------------------
Column Of Winter -- Cosmonaval Fleet One Flagship

"Well," Admiral Lokks said after reading the message. "The Admiral wants reinforcements. I say we give them to him." The Captain ordered the space cruiser Truth and Reconciliation to enter Earth's atmosphere and aid in the blockade. The giant space cruiser accompanied with what looked like overly large B2 Stealth Bombers in Space (ten of them). Although the Truth and Reconciliation was at the moment staying just above the ozone layer, the B2-looking things went down into the midrange of the stratosphere, patrolling the skies above the blockade.
-------------------------------------------------
Truth and Reconciliation

THe Commodore stood at the Command Center of the cruiser looking over the orders. Aid the blockade? he thought to himself. How is a SPACE cruiser supposed to aid an EARTH blockade? He looked over the map of the area. From the looks of it, the most I could do is send in Banshees.
"GODDAMNIT!" he shouted, and everyone's head turned. "How am I supposed to aid in this!"

"What about our laser cannons?" the gunner said.

"Those things are meant to take out a ship that is THIS SIZE, not a ship that is less than an eighth of this!"

"That is the point. If they approach the blockade showing hostility, the blockade backs up a little, and BOOM, we fire," the gunner said.

"I guess that would work." He looked at the digital map of the area. He chuckled. "It does look like the surrounding area will be experiencing no sunlight for awhile." He walked away from the command center and went up to the bridge. Not to issue orders, but to sit in the comfy captain's chair and doze off after a long day.

The Truth and Reconciliation

The Commodore was looking at the radar/sonar produced holomap when he saw motion on the beach. He zoomed in, (the holomap is now being powered by satellies and cameras on the ship) and saw Special Ops on the beach. Goddamn. I bet they could use some help. He gave the orders to the Cyro chambers.

[code:1:788cbee56f]UNLEASH THE HUSHED CASKETS[/code:1:788cbee56f]
--------------------------------
TT&R Cyro Chambers

The Cyro operator saw the message and typed in the code for the release. All at once, fifty cyro caskets, as they were called, opened, and fifty of the "fresh-off-the-rack" (the ship just came back from the Dersconian planet where everything militarily is developed) SPARTAN-III's climbed out. The body armor was rated a Class Six, instead of the old Class Two the original SPARTANs had. With gold, no-glare HUDs on the helmets, and the armor all black, they were the most intimidating force ever seen -- and TT&R only has some of the new bunch.

They were split up in to five teams of ten SPARTANs. Each SPARTAN was given a M6D Pistol and a MA7C Assault Rifle. (modified off of the original MA5B, only the 7C shoots 7.62 long High Explosive rounds instead of the shortshell ammo of the 5B) Also, each soldier gets four M9 HE-DP Fragmentation Grenades and four plasma grenades.
Each team of ten SPARTANs had two soldiers equipped with S2 AM Sniper Rifles and one equipped with a M19 SSM Rocket Launcher along with the rest of their equipment.

"Okay, head to Shuttle Bay Two. The Pelicans are waiting for you." The SPARTANs rushed out of the Cyro room and made their way to the shuttle bay. Once there, each team loaded in to a Pelican, and each Pelican had a Warthog for fun traveling. The Newly designed Pelicans, although not Stealth Aircraft, were designed for minimal radar coverage, and were coated with the same substance as the other Stealth Bombers, allowing for minimal radar contact.

The Pelicans silently creeped along in the air, avoiding the DGNT radar, as far as the detection sensors went. They landed on the beach where the known Special Ops were. The Pelicans disengaged their Warthogs and sped off once everyone was out. All under the cover of darkness, and all without a sound. The SPARTANs switched to night vision and found a fire team. The Team leader of one SPARTAN group approached one Special Op and simply said, "Need help?"

"You didn't hear or see us come in. I would call that stealth. And we aren't being fired upon, so the enemy didn't see us. Your shouting, on the other hand, is NOT stealth," the SPARTAN said, smiling, although you couldn't see it. The teams of SPARTANs dug holes that look like THIS ((( |_/ ))), and camo netting was draped over the hole opening, and staked down at the back. This way, if needed, the Warthogs could not be seen, and could drive off at a moments notice. For each team, three SPARTANs got in the Warthogs, in the holes, the two snipers per team got to high ground, or made their own high ground, the one with the rocket launcher made a little sand bunker for the rockets, and the other three dug in somewhere cozy and waited for the "go-code," whenever it might come.

He stopped and looked over the situation one more time, and thought from a different angle. "OKay, I see what you are doing. At first I thought we were going to have a covert assault on strateigec locations and get the hell out without being detected. It is clear that that is not the case, and a Commando invasion is occuring." The Spartan ordered the Warthogs back in their holes and the camo netting reapplied. The snipers and the rocketeers went back to looking inward, and the Spartan turned back to the SEAL commando. "How many reinforcements can you use, and how soon do you need them?"

While origionally the first option was the plan especcially cause most our forces have already infiltrated major citys near military bases. However it now seems that we are having a covert invasion build up. I ask that you have some airborne forces ready to deal with ne one that intercedes on hogsweets behalf. Unfortunately im relitively lacking in ground forces but My airforce is rather powerful. We should start by hitting those afformentioned targets and then mop up wats left. We are giving other nations a further 24 game hours to get there forces into position.
At this time the remainder of my available special forces both SAS and SEALS are gearing up in boomers and helos inserting in shore or border areas. about 200 not all inserted yet
OOC:again sorry if im god modding or takin to much control of this and we still cant forget that hog can decide that these forces were noticed or any of the axis powers for that matter. But i dont know about you guys but im havin fun.

The Senate of the The Green Islands was remarkably quiet. The normal gentle hum of conversation was gone and the only noticible sounds came from the camera crew's director as they set up for the broadcast.

The two of the three Senate Elders whispered quietly to eachother while the third sat breathing slowly, eyes closed in a short prayer. All three looked up as the director spoke, "On in 10 seconds".

"We of the Green Islands have just recently founded this Republic but already we face a challange. By the work of God we have not sought this but have been informed of it and our role is obviouse. I speak of events happening in and around the nation of Hogsweat. This nation has seen fit to remove its Christian population."

"We, in hopes of stopping any violance by persecution or by war make an offer to the nation of Hogsweat. We will accept the imigration of any and all Christians from your nation to ours. We will see to their transport from your shores to ours. We are prepared to inact laws which will bane any militant groups of these refugees from forming in our country and will see that no retalitory strikes can be planned or launched from our peaceful shores against yours. We will hold no position against your actions on Christians who remain voluntarily."

"To my countrymen, I stated that this is a challange for us. The recent tax cuts will have to be looked at and revised to meet the payment of ships and services in the rescue of these refugees. As with all issues we incurage individual community congregations to raise support for these efforts. As we settle these people, to help in the cause we ask that as many as can, open their homes to these our Christian brothers. "

"The task is ahead and we must engage in it. Above all else we ask for the prayers of all in the safeguarding of life in these times of trouble. On behalf of the Senate Elders and the Senate as a whole we thank you for your time this evening. God bless you all."

I can get you armor, as in TANKS, if you need it, and I think the flagship has fifty more of us 'toy soldiers,' and I know sure as hell the flagship has enough Marines for a medium-scale invasion. I can try to get you this, and if you need anything else, there's a whole damn Derscon Cosmonaval Fleet just outside the atmosphere.

In twenty-four hours I could probably have around five hundred to a thousand Dersconian soldiers here, either on foot or in a Warthog or in a tank, but you have to realize, we would lose stealth."

"Indeed. Forward to base...again." The wingman radioed back, returning the gesture that a Hogsweatian sailor had just given him.

To Derscon Military Commanders

Dear friends, I have observed your recent actions and have decided to assist you in any way possible if you are attacked. I have a small fleet of [around 200] fighters on their way, as well as some N1NJ4 orbital weapons satellites. Your need for aerial stealth is quite understandable, and I believe that my fighters are significantly more well-equipped than your banshees. The satellites are high-energy particle cannons, which are accurate within 5 meters, which will be incredibly useful for engaging ships and land targets if the need arises. You need just give me the word, and I can send anything you need. I have sent some naval backup, though I hope that it won't be necessary to use them.[/code:1:8201c52110]

A series of space-fold bubbles appeared in Earth orbit, and an instant later were replaced by a small fleet of starships and fighters. 4 destroyers (with docking trees attached to them for fighters), 12 frigates, 200 fighters. The fleet inched forward to meet up with the existing orbital garrison over Hogsweat, though the frigates did not stop. The 12 vessels entered the atmosphere, and came to a gentle stop in the ocean near Hogsweat, taking a position near the blockade. The forced plasma thrusters shut down and sealed off, a water impeller folded out from under the ships.

OOC: You can see my military assets here (http://www.noyuo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10#10). Also, none of your stuff is god-modding, I figured that virtually indestructible super soldiers (have you read the books? ye-ow!) would be more risky than a starship. :D (sorry I misunderstood you)

"Dammit Gentlemen, you promised me this would be an easy in-and-out special ops. thing!" exclaimed his Royal Highness, King 'Lude II. As I understand it now, the Karras is missing, we've not heard from our SEAL teams and we need to send our ships in to join the Blockade. Is that about it?"

"Yes sir, in a nutshell." demurred General Jack T. Ripper.

"So let me get this straight" continued King 'Lude II, "The Karras was last spotted by P4lladia ship sonar and was on course toward's Hogsweat, presumably to offload the 3 SEAL teams who were to hook up with Father Quaimonda's group, supply them with cash, a small weapon's cache and make sure they were organized enough to carry out covert or terrorist activities under the Christian Liberation Front (CLF) banner, right?"

"Correct Your Highness." Stated Admiral Geoffry Dallmer.

"How long were the SEALs supposed to be inland before extraction?" asked the King.

"Three days."

"Best guess as to what is going on?"

"Sir, the Karras has only been missing for a little over 1 1/2 days. I think we can safely assume that the SEALs made it in based on the large, inland explosion detected by Satelite imagery yesterday. By our calculations, that explosion occurred approximately 6 hours after the SEALs would have landed. Of course we're basing that landing time on the information received from the P4lladia ships. However, six hours is more than enough time for our guys to organize a bomb, especially since Quiamonda was already planning something along those lines." stated General Ripper.

"Admiral Dallmer, what do you think?" queried King 'Lude II

"I agree with General Ripper's assesment about the SEAL teams making it in. As to the status of the Karras, I know Captain Sluggemuphin well enough to know that he is probably just hiding out there somewhere waiting for the SEAL's extraction time. Remember, there is a large blockade of ships out there and when he went in we didn't know how P4lladia and the others might react if the Karras was detected. Captain Sluggemuphin probably knows he was spotted on someone's sonar and he's just lying low for the time being. Satelite imagery shows that Hogsweat's navy is on the move, it looks like they might be getting ready to challenge the blockade and there is apparantly some sort of commando force being landed in Hogsweat by Derscon as well. The Karras is probably just staying out of the way until time to get the SEALs"

"What other ships are in the area and how badly does P4lladia need asssitance with the blockade?"

"Well" continued Admiral Dallmer, "They appreciate our support of the blockade, but advised caution in joining in. As for ships, the Carrier Ganja could be there in a day and the battleships, Vonnegut and Crichton could be there in about 18 hours or so, assuming they head now at full speed. Nothing else could make it in less than 3 days, though I confess, I'd like to order our new bud class sub, the Pakalolo in as backup for the Karras and the SEALs."

"No" said King 'Lude, "I'm not risking the Pakalolo I know you want to try it out Admiral, but this is not the time or place. To much is at risk as it is. I want you to do this, offer our thanks to P4lladia for the info. on the Karras and inform them that we are sending the battleship Vonnegut to join the blockade and order them in. Tell the captain of the Vonnegut to follow P4lladia's lead in the blockade, but they are NOT to fire on a Hogsweatian ship unless Hogsweat fires on them or P4lladian ships first. Send the Chrichton and the Ganja to a safe area outside where any likely battle involving the blockade is likely to occur. Utilize the Ganja's aircraft to closely monitor the blockade activities. If Hogsweat breaks the blockade, they are to withdraw and fire on Hogsweat's navy only if attacked first. If the Vonnegut needs to pull out of the blockade the Ganja is authorized to use whatever measures needed to ensure the safe extraction of the Vonnegut and its crew. The same goes for the Crichton. I'm going to assume you are right about what has happened to the Karras Admiral. If they show up they are to immediately be ordered to rendevous with the carrier Ganja. If they have not made contact within 18 hours of the scheduled SEAL extraction time, we will be forced to assume they and the SEALs have been lost. The Karras is supposedly "not there." Likewise for the SEALs. I'll not risk an international incident or war over a failed covert operation, especially one of this type. We're joining the blockade as a show of support, but we are not going to engage in all out war with Hogsweat at this time."

"Is that all?" asked Admiral Dallmer?

"for you, yes." replied the king. "As for you General Ripper, you have a leak somewhere in your department. I'm sure you saw the news story detailing the mission of the Karras. Whoever leaked that information is to be located and court-martialed. He or she has put the entire covert mission in jeopardy. It is one thing to say covert ops. have been approved and that we support Father Quiamonda and CLF, it is quite another to tell what the covert ops. team is doing or how many people are involved. Got it solder?"

"Yes sir"

OOC This might be a little bit of a God Mod so Hogsweat, feel free to correct the errors (It is a situation of your creating so you get to finalize lots of stuff like time lines). Anyway, just to clear up stuff as I understand the thread, Hogsweat started the crackdown, P4lladia, Derscon and others began putting blockade in place. My sub, the Karras slipped in under the blockade and landed a team of 5 SEALs who hooked up with a Hogsweatian Christian and some 6 hours later they detonated a bomb outside a police H.Q. somewhere in Hogsweat. Meanwhile my sub is in Hogsweat's territorial waters awaiting extraction of the SEALs. Within a day of my terrorist attack, Hogsweat's navy left port headed out to????? Derscon and the Spartans landed a commando force that is going to start some inland operations of their own as well. And I have some ships on the way. All this sit well with everyone? Hogsweat?

Chatamaran, of course the orbital weapons are accurate enough. I know how to run my military, these can do anything from levelling a city to drawing crop circles. I will decide when they are to be used. Don't be so hasty, remember, we will NOT fire the first shot! Don't give them a good reason to fire either, we must be passive and hope that the blockade will do its job. Now that P4lladian ships are present, Hogsweat will likely think twice before doing anything stupid. Keep in mind that these are converted space vessels, complete with particle beams, missiles and shielding. I will do everything I can to protect my allies' [unshielded] ships.

Lieutenant Marcos Najera sat at the controls of his F-22 Raptor. He was itching to do something. His squadron had been ordered to "orange status", ready to take off within a moment's notice. Word was the blockaders might try something more aggressive. If they did, all hel would break loose, and they'd need to protect both carriers and the hospital ship. Of course, complicating matters was that the Claudius Galen was sitting on the inside of the blockade, virtually narmed, while the two carriers were sitting outside. Still, the brass believed that the first group of fighters could get to the Galen before anyone could do anything about it.

Of course, the rumor going around was that if Hogsweat were to be invaded, they would offer the invaders air cover. Two hundred seventy advanced multi-role fighter jets would be hard to turn down. But that was just a rumor.

His watch beeped. Sure enough, another pilot was standing by the cockpit. He got out as he got into the plane. Rotating shifts, keep one squadron ready at all times. "Orange status." Anyway, it was time for him to go to the mess hall.

OOC I think Mauiwowee covered most recent events well enough, but I'll see what I can add...

Hogsweat is still sending Christians to the labor camps (and thus to their death). A blockade spearheaded by Derscon and myself has been in place for some time, Maui's sub went by to unload some SEALS to help out with that Quaiwamonga or whatever terrorist guy, and Hogsweat sent out a sizeable fleet which will probably end up firing on the blockade. As such, I sent out some backup ships to deter him. Chattymoron is doing SOMETHING, though I can barely decipher him. It looks to me like he and Derscon are embedding troops in Hogsweat for quick deployment if the poopy hits the proverbial fan.

I'm not really sure what Hogsweat was/is doing. We haven't really been filled in.

IC:

In a small house near the Hogsweatian border, a small light begin to wink on and off. The light belonged to a small sensor-detector that the special-op forces had scattered about Hogsweat. The sensore had picked up movement coming from section 31 Alpha. Commander Black wandered in to the room from the shower stall, toweling himself off. He picked up a bottle of water and chugged it down, swilling the last bit and spitting it back out. As he threw the bottle out, he noticed the blinking light. "Shit." He murmered. "Simmons, Reggly! Get in here!"

The two other men came running in from outside of the house. They saw the light on the sensor-detector blinking on and off. "Fuck." said Simmons, "It looks like it has begun."

"Thats right" said Black. "It has begun. They've landed troops, albeit covert operations forces, but troops nonetheless. We need to get a transmission out to our forces waiting to be unloaded as well as back to Blargistania proper."

Black's crew began to gather up all their gear to begin to trek to a recon position. The small squad of 6 (this is one of the larger groups I have out there) moved out from the house they had borrowed from some of the friendly villagers. Before the had left, Black had sent a quick transmission to Blargistania and the forces waiting.

A Few Hours Later
Looking through the 'eyes' of the sniper rifle, Black saw what the opposing forces had landed. He dropped the magnification of the rifle and scanned the area again. Across the silent com channels, he muttered to his team. "Looks like 3 Jeeps out there, almost looks like Puma to me. A good amount of special-ops troops, at least 5 or six teams. Morters deployed. And a few dozen troops like nothing I've ever seen before." Big, Black Armor, odd weapons. Probably extra-dimensional. Gilly up here and observe"

Black and his team spread out around the enemy forces and hunkered down to see what they would do next.

OOC: Black and his team are part of special operations, they were deployed in adavnce just in case this sort of thing happened. His team is equipped with Night Vision, Desert Eagle .45 Caliber Pistols, ML3 Sniper rilfes which fire 7.1mm High-impact thermite-tipped rounds. Your assistance has been much appreciated and we wish to make clear to you our intentions. As you are no doubt aware by now, our sub, the Karras entered Hogsweatian waters on a covert ops. mission. Their job was to land a SEAL team that was assigned the job of providing some assistance and organizational support to Christians still in Hogsweat who were attempting to organize an internal resistance to the actions of their government. That is all they were to do. Our forces were and are under strict orders not to fire unless fired upon. Three of our ships, the carrier Ganja and the battleships, Crichton and Vonnegut are on their way there and should arrive within the next 12-18 hours. The carrier and one of the battleships have been ordered to stay back from the blockade line, but are also authorized to take any action necessary to effect extraction or rescue operations for any blockade ship that attempts to withdraw. In other words, we'll watch your back. If the Karras appears, she will assist them in those efforts. One of the battleships, however, has been authorized to join the blockade and to follow your lead as to how to proceed in the event Hogsweat attempts to run the blockade.

We are very concerned about Chatamaran and Derscon's actions in landing commando forces in Hogsweat, they seem to be going well beyond merely assisting the locals defend themselves against their own government and are considering denouncing these actions.

OOC: The following are chatamorans actions so that everything can be cleared up
We landed forces on a undefended beach and across the border with an allie not sure which one. There were 28 men in the origial force. 8 infiltrated into a house in a major city where they are sitting tight these men are SAS. The remaining 20 out of them 15 moved inland. and 5 remained on the beachhead. Until derscon showed up at that time we further moved 100 SEALS and 100 SAS men in 4 men cells with C&C teams around the border and on the beach. Also we have 75 strike eagle, warthog and falcon fighters in forward stagin bases. along with 50 assorted combat helo's on the border. The current plan is to wait until a shot is fired then to use that against there forces. So no I will not fire the first shot. Consider it like the battle of lexington and concorde if I remember correctly. (skool so long away 1 month)

ViZion demands that the genocide being committed here comes to an end NOW. We have worked together for a long time now, but ViZion will not stand for genocide. Hogsweat, we ask of you to end this madness now. We will accept any Christians, and we will transport then too.

Again, we demand this ends. Hogsweat, do what is right now. End this now.

We do not wish to enter into a conflict with a nation previously allied with, but we will if you continue this.

Malpizia (and it's home region, the Conservative Christian Allianc (there wasn't room for the e in alliance, fyi)) immediately declares war on ANY nation expelling Christians. NO MERCY will be given to any Buddhist from Hogsweat. May Jesus, the one you hate, have mercy upon you! But we won't. ;) (OOC: Do you seriously hate Christians, if so tell Satan I have a bone to pick with him)

Malpizia and all other member nations of the CCA (Inner Malpizia, Outer Malpizia, New Malpizia, Monalbec, Aichanen, Ctepar, Ordmarb, Hgaria, Rodgog, and Alehwo) find forced labor cruel (and connected with poor workmanship) but we will enslave all of your Buddhist citizens in labor camps and those that resist will be immediately beheaded, a common practice against Christians. Our New Jerusalem Guard will have fun smelting your Buddha statues and using them to make gilded swords for beheading your leaders.

"Colonel Jackson" said Father Quiamonda, "we appreciate your assistance, the arms and the money, I think we can handle it from here on in. You need to get back to your ship. Our informants tell us the Navy has left port and appears to be heading for a confrontation with the blockade. We'd hate for you to get trapped here."

"Damn, they're gonna start a full scale war" stated the SEAL team commander. "You're right. We need to go. We were scheduled to leave anyway in the next 24 hours. If we can set up a beach position we can get back in touch with the Karras the minute she surfaces and get on out exactly on schedule. Before I pack up the team and go, tell me what your plans are though."

"Well, the government has not announced the official stats on the police station bombing yet, but our sources tell us about 10 people were killed and some 15 wounded and that the police station itself was completely destroyed along with several squad cars. However, we have not confirmed this since we want to avoid the common mistake of returning to the scene of the crime and getting caught. We're still waiting on official government confirmation of what the damage really was. It may be they have directed the media not to report it though in an effort to downplay our activities. We plan tonight, however, to take out an electrical generating substation. We figure that will cripple the power grid and could affect the water plant, we're not sure what kind of back ups the water plant has though to deal with a power failure."

"How do you plan to take out the substation? Security has got to be pretty tight around that kind of facility these days."

"It is, but we have an insider. One of the members of my "flock" as I like to call them, is a lineman for the utility company (if you can call government owned and operated utilities a company). We've worked on this plan for several days and think we've got it beautifully arranged. Using his access abilities to the substation he smuggled in about 2-3 lbs. of the C-5 plastique type explosive you brought us. He has placed it in a position in the sub-station where a short circuit or overload of a line will cause it to detonate. Tonight, he plans to climb a power pole, well away from the sub-station, and cause such a short circuit in the line and 'wham' there goes the substation, but we are no where near it."

"Sounds like a good plan, I hope you are succesful. Now, about that cache of weapons we brought in, you obviously feel confident about handling the C-5 (sorry we couldn't bring more than the 25 lbs we gave you), but are you sure you're ready to take on the shoulder-fired RPG's and anti-chopper blade missiles? There are only 5 of each there, you don't need to waste them on untrained persons."

"We've got that under control Colonel, don't worry. My biggest problem is that your entire team didn't make it in for some reason and bring us more rifles and handguns. Ten Plasma Rifles with only 350 rounds each isn't going to go far. And five .42 caliber TEC 9 style pistols isn't much fire power, even if they are full auto with 40 shot clips. And why no plain old grenades?"

"I know, I'm sorry, I don't know what happened to my other teams, you'd've had much more if they had made it in. If they didn't make it in because the Karras was sunk or had to high tail it out of the blockade, we may be stuck here anyway. You've got the anarchist's cookbook now though, you're at least ready to get started. Depending on how things go, we may be able to send in another team in the near future, I'll recommend it assuming I make it out of here. Well, let me go round up the team and we'll get moving. It will be night soon. I guess if your attack on the sub-station is succesful we may have more than enough darkness to cover our tracks back to the beach."

"That was also our thought too Colonel. Good luck and God Bless You."

OOC Had to make up something about my police station bombing since Hogsweat has yet to let us know what the real damage was. You'll note I'm not god-moding since my IC person says they are still waiting to find out what the real damage was though. This is shaping up to a pretty cool RP thread though. I wonder where we're gonna end up. Hogsweat, we need you :)

Non-RP post: I do not necessarily despise Christians, but I would support the efforts of any nation to rid itself of them. Their value systems have perverted the natural world, and poltical correctness and egalitarianism - both forms of secular Christianity - have done far more harm to the modern world than good. I support race nationalism (not just white nationalism, so don't jump all over me) and I am fervently opposed to multiculturalism. Christianity attemps to whitewash society by spreading the diseased notion that all humans are equal under the eyes of god, and therefore equal in society. This gives rise to such modern world perversions as the equal standing of all sorts of different races within one society, an idea which has run its course, and has proven itself to be faulty.

Besides the perverted logic, Christianity has also proven itself an enemy to social progress, as it has opposed almost every significant medicinal and scientific discovery in the last 2000 years. Also, if Christianity actually practiced what it preached, it would not be raking in money in poor nations like Brazil. Brazilians are taught to have faith in some mythic figure in order to take their minds off of how badly they are starving to death, and the church has little to say about it. They take in millions a year, and do nothing for the people who are stupid enough to tolerate their existence. I supported Hogwash in this game because this descision of theirs, although purely fantastical, indicates that there are some people in this world who are not content with the political hegemony Christians wield in today's society. Why should anyone feel guilty of ridding their nations of extortionists? By the way, the Protestant churches are no better. Here in Chicago, the black baptists are buying up Lake-front property using church donations, effectively neutralizing local economies in order to promote their own political interests.

On this site, Christian logic has made it impossible for Buddhists to use swastikas - perfectly inoffensive symbols to anyone who has any true familiarity with them - but Christians have succeeded in causing much more genocide than Hitler ever could have imagined. Yet, why do we allow Christian symbols on flags? Why do some posters actually have the nerve to call for the deletion of all nations containing Nazi ideologies, when every single fascist nation that has ever existed in THE REAL WORLD has received support from the Catholic Church?

The lies are so deep-seeded that they are not recognized. When they are pointed out, Christians dismiss their detractors as being 'uncompassionate.' In reality, what makes anti-Christians 'uncompassionate' is the fact that they are perceptive, and challenge the very fabric of Judeo-Christian society.

I do not believe that all people are equal. I do not believe in what cannot cannot be seen or studied. I do not believe that one should regard one's enemy with compassion. I do not believe in awarding faith and authority to any political institution because it claims to have a higher calling. In other words, I value rationality. This makes me a threat to Judaic society.

I would suggest, in the interests of peace, that you refrain from this course of action. Silas Dement, you bring up many good points, and I am very hard pressed to find any inaccuracies in it. It seems that so few Christians actually follow the words of their Christ and instead use their religion as an excuse to remain ignorant and throw reason out the window to the detriment of everyone else. While I agree that Christian thought is a danger to social evolution, so is purging a society of any group. We must simply allow nature to take its course, we have found that logic and reason will overcome when it is time. In other words, manji symbols have become commonplace in P4lladia, and nobody complains about Nazis.

OOC: I've skimmed through the thread and failed to see any mentionings of Hogsweat admitting to genocide... Therefore, my support stands. He said labor camps, which aren't necessarily killing them off.

IC:
Our ally, Hogsweat has been placed under a blockade by the nation of P4lladia for the alleged violation of human rights that has been committed against Christians residing in Hogsweat. Let me begin by saying, in no way, does our government support the actions of Hogsweat - we do not see fit to interfere, considering that Hogsweat is a fully sovereign nation with its own rights, which brings me to my next point. P4lladia is committing an extremely aggressive military act, one that places Hogsweat and its citizens in danger. Hogsweat has not provoked P4lladia with any military threats, yet P4lladia has seen fit to forcibly erect a blockade around Hogsweat. Our decision has been made.

After briefly consulting my advisors, we have decided to deploy the 3rd and 4th Fleet to Hogsweat, once their permission is granted, of course, to assist them in repelling the foreign threat. We have also already moved other strategic assets into the surrounding area. Since P4lladia has seen fit to establish a blockade around Hogsweat, our fleets will establish a blockade around P4lladia's fleet. Of course, we will not fire on his fleet, except in self-defense, but all ships attempting to bypass our blockade will be stopped, one way or another.

I hope that this situation can be resolved before it escalates, and all P4lladia has to do to defuse this situation is to withdraw its fleet.

ak, so much happening when I'm not here.

Ok IC:

. . .In an open broadband communication today, First Among Equals (President) Aleczander Hamion gave a short speech today outside of the capital building. The President had been long raising concerns about the treatment of the captive Christians during the escalating conflict involving Hogsweat. Today, the President made a final decision to withdraw forces as he can no longer support a defense of Hogsweat. Here is an excerpt from the President's speech:

Ladies, Gentelmen, People of Blargistania, People of the world. Over the past few weeks, we have watched as a conflict has escalated between Hogsweat and an alliance of Christian nations. It began with Hogsweat's outlaw and rounding up of christians. This in and of itself was a permissable act throughout our nation. Our nation pledged to defend the soverignty of Hogsweat and to defend their borders from invasion. We sent our troops and ships over to their nation. We watched their borders. It appeared that the conflict may end peacefully, but alas, that hope was soon destroyed.

Today, it was my sad duty to report to our nation that Hogsweat has begun to murder its captive Christian population. And while Blargistania is not overly religious or Christian, we can no longer support a nation that engages in this practice. As of two hours ago, I issued a recall of all Blargistanian military forces from Hogsweat territory. A single carrier group will remain in place to assist transport of refugees in the case that Hogsweat comes to see reason.

The murder of innocents has always troubled us as a nation, and today, we had to face down that trouble. We had an obligation to defend a nation. However, that nation committed mass murder of innocents. Now, we can no longer honor that obligation. No more will we defend Hogsweat.

That was the President speaking today outside of the Capital. A full text of his speech can be found on our website at bnnn.com or from the government's website bng.com/pres/speech/hogsweat/334_b.html.

OOC: The carrier group sent over in Blargistania will remain with the blockade in case Hogsweat decides to release remaining Christians.

With any luck, no ships will be able to get in or out even with proper clearence! Seriously, though, what do you hope to accomplish? Hogsweat is sending Christians - and only Christians - to labor camps. Labor camps mean death! Hogsweat could only be more blatant about this genocide if it was shooting people in the head. I am not putting the people of Hogsweat in danger, Hogsweat is putting their own people in danger. All they need to do is reconsider their actions and - poof! - the blockade disappears. [code:1:158e8c7dbc]Unseal the SPARTANs and arm them with the appropriate equipment.[/code:1:158e8c7dbc]

He then ran to the Holy Ark chamber and got to the Keeper of the Ark. "Open the Ark and get ready to arm them." The Imperial Guard typed in the code and put is neural implants on the scanner, and the Admiral did the same with his. The door to the balcony over the Ark was opened, and they walked out on to the Control Computer. They both typed in their passowrds, and a loud WOOSH was heard from the hundreds of Cyro chambers opening.

Out of the Cyro chambers came a race of beings thought long extinct, but specimens were captured and held on the Dersconian Military Planet, as it was called. About one quarter of all the surviving specimens of the race known only as The Covanent were standing before them. Jackals, Eleites, and Hunters. The Army contained thirty Hunters, two hundred Elietes, and three hundred Jackals. (It's a big room)

The Jackals were all given Ruby-class body armor and their Yellow energy shields. They were then issued the improved version of the plasma pistol.

Group One: One hundred Eleites -- Blue Armor
Group Two: Fifty Eleites -- Ruby Armor
Group Three: Thirty Eleites -- Gold Armor
Group Four: Twenty Eleites -- Platinum Armor

Each Eliete was given four plasma grenades. Then, each group was given their own set of weapons and supplies.

Blue Armor -- One plasma rifle, plasma pistol, Overshield Class I
Ruby Armor -- Two plasma rifles, plasma pistol, overshield class II
Gold Armor -- Energy Sword, Plasma pistol, Overshield Class III, Active Camoflauge Class II
Platinum Armor -- Two Energy Swords, Plasma pistol, Overshield Class Four, Active Camoflauge Class IV

And then the Hunters. Each was issued their standard set of armor with the Ion Fuel Rod cannon built in to their armor, but there was a difference. The Armor was two times as strong, and the soft spot in the back was protected by a dropdown section of the armor.

The Covanent Army made their way to the Transport ship to take them to the Truth and Reconciliation.
----------------------------
Cyro A

The fifty SPARTANs were armed exactly as the first round of SPARTANs were armed, only there were no rocketeers, because of the tanks. They made their way to the other transport ship to go to the Truth and Reconciliation.
==========================
==========================
The Truth and Reconciliation

The Commodore recieved the message from Admiral Lokks and made his way down to Shuttle Bay One.

At Shuttle Bay One, the Transport ship already arrived from outside Earth's atmosphere and the Covanent Warriors were loading in to the Bandit dropship. Once they were all loaded, the Commodore ordered all Shuttle Bay doors opened, but not to launch.

The Commodore then walked to Shuttle Bay Two. Once there, he found that all the SPARTANs were loaded in, and the vehicles locked on to the Pelicans. He ordered the Shuttle Bay doors opened, and the Pelicans to take off. He then walked back to Shuttle Bay One, and ordered the Bandits to take off to the beach.
===========================
Airspace above the Ocean

The Bandits met up with the Pelicans, and two Longswords linked up to give Air support. Although no fire was put upon the dropships, everyone knew total stealth was thrown out the window. THe Dropships landed on the beach with the SPARTAN Brigade Commander waiting for them.
===========================
Hogsweatian Beach

"Come on, boys! Get everything ready!" the SPARTAN Commander barked at the arriving troops. "Bury the vehicles and Tanks! MOVE!" The SPARTANs accomplished their task and dug in within five minutes of arriving. THe Brigade Two Commander walked over to the Brigade One Commander and the SEAL Commander.

"You now have one hundred SPARTANs on this beach," the B-2 Commander said to the SEAL.

"Now, my friend," the B-1 Commander said to the SEAL. "THIS is what I mean by 'The Holy Ark'." On cue, the Bandit dropship doors opened and the five hundred and thirty Covanent Warriors stepped out and made themselves feel at home. "The Ark of the Covanent." The SEAL looked surprised. "I cannot tell you how, because I'm not allowed and don't know myself, but the Covanent race was exctinct, except for a single specimen of each of the species you see in front of you. This is only one quarter of what we have, but the others are quite literally light years away." He looked around once more. "Unfortunately, anyone with a half-decent spy satellite can now see us. We just lost a lot of stealth, but with what we have, I say it is an acceptable sacrifice."

Luckily for us, we've got some serious surveillance equipment up here. We've managed to keep Hogsweat's satellites busy by floating out some pictures in front of their lenses, but that won't work forever. It pleases me to see your withdrawl from Hogsweat as it becomes increasingly likely that a bloody conflict may soon be upon us despite our sincerest efforts to the contrary. Though I find it odd that it took you this long to realize that Hogsweat is engaging in seriously unsavory activities, at least now it is possible for the allied invasion, however unfortunate, may proceed unchallenged if Hogsweat does not give in to our very simple demands. If there is anything more you need from us we would be more than happy to oblige.[/code:1:5f2adae898]

P4lladia: Until I see any solid proof that Hogsweat is indeed committing genocide, Hogsweat is presumed to be innocent. You make large leaps in logic, such as labor camps equaling death. My nation has criminals work to redeem themselves and to pay off their debts to society - does that mean we put them to death as well?

With my blockade around yours, we'll see who will last longer - Hogsweat, a fully sovereign and self-dependent nation or your ships at sea. Merely a taste of your own medicine.

Flying with its underside in the water, a transport sent from Palladia's orbital staging area quietly approached the coast of Hogsweat where the allied camp was located. Skimming barely over the heads of the Spartans, the transport came gently to a resting spot, landing gear deployed and the ramp sliding into place from under the ship. A man in a more ceremonious than practical suit of samurai armor walked out of the ship, sword attached to his belt. He was accompanied by two green-armored guards, looking not much unlike the Spartans milling about. The man, Shogun Uesama, began to search for the commander of the camp while various machines began to unload and install the equipment they had brought with them on the transport. The transport, after unloading its cargo, left in the same manner it arrived.

"Where the hell is the attack on the electrical substation?" demanded Col. "Flippers" Jackson of the Mauiwowee SEAL team. "We need the extra darkness to make it to the beach."
===============================
Tyler was still amazed that the C-5 explosives had managed to make it past the dogs at the substation. God must have been truly watching out for him, just as Quiamonda said he would. With slow deliberation he said a short prayer and began to climb the tower. A quick wire cross and the substation's breakers would trip, detonating the C-5 and knocking out almost 20% of the city's electrical supply and grid. "To bad I can't affect the palace with this" he considered. He then grasped his .42 Caliber, TEC-9 knockoff ("thanks Mauiwowee and Col. Jackson" he thought in a grateful, but simultaneously bemused and sarcastic manner) and put his foot on rung #2.
===============================
"It's been 36 hours since you instituted "silent running" operational status and held us stationary at maximum depth" C.O. Bhyteme stated in a matter-of-fact manner as he conferred with Mauiwowee submarine, Karras Captain, Sluggemuphin. "The SEALs we got in are to be extracted in 36 more hours. Ops has confirmed the sonar "tag" was from a P4lladia ship based on it's frequency signature. The crew is antsy and the other 2 SEAL teams want to go in to replace the one we take out. However, the external sound sensors indicate some significant surface activity is taking place. What do you need us to do, Captain?"

"First," replied Captain Sluggemuphin, "do all you can to re-assure the crew. Secondly, plot a course that is the most likely to avoid sonar detections that gets us to the SEAL's extraction point within the next 12 hours in silent running mode! If we can get there, we'll stay until we determine they are lost or circumstances change. Once the course is plotted, lay it in and execute it. It seems that P4lladia doesn't care we are here, but I want to avoid detection by other ships if at all possible. So far, silent running seems to have done the trick, I want to keep it up.

Third, ensure all torpedo and missile bays are operational and armed, we don't know if or by whom we might be attacked, but I want to make sure that any attack is met with instantaneous reprisals. Next, tell the SEALs my order stands, their mission is FUBAR and aborted. Finally, launch a mini-microwave radio bouy, we need to intercept and hear all surface transmissions to understand what is happening on the surface."

"I'm like you Bhyteme, I'm tired of being almost totally deaf and blind. Until today, I never realized how much I appreciated the "tympanic membrane" hull of this boat. However, I must protect this boat and it's crew. We will not surface until time to extract the SEAL team unless the mini-bouy detects new orders from home. Under no circumstances are we to engage any ship in combat. If that means we're chicken, then so be it. Orders say we may fire only in justifiable self-defense.

It is all over the news that they are being slaughtered, if you don't believe me check out Blargistania's recent press release. Get your head out of your ass for a minute, I'd imagine it's hard to see the facts when you need to look through your entire digestive tract. The Seppukon sat in his immense office, staring at the slightly-less-immense holographic viewscreen on the other side of the room. The image was of the Earth, and a bright red line formed an irregular border around the conflict in Hogsweat; it was an image of the blockade of the blockade that had been set up recently. Unexpectedly, a smaller image appeared in the lower right-hand corner of the screen: it was Shogun Crukih, the Seppukon's right-hand-man and leader of the military operation on Earth.

"Sir, it appears that Hogsweat has opened fire. This has just become a hostile conflict." The Shogun said, with a grim expression.

"Well, I guess we should put those Class-A Transports to good use. It's a good thing I sent them halfway between our system and Earth. They'll be there soon enough."

And the transports did arrive 'soon enough'. As the first transport landed, Major Syzun jumped out and began to survey the area. Missiles streaked overhead, and sporadic bursts of gunfire interrupted the relative darkness of the night-time landing. Within minutes, a total of four transports brought 300 ARC infantry units, all lead by Shogun Crukih himself. This was going to be an interesting conflict...

"Shogun Uesama! I see the Technate has yet to deploy ground troops...I thought I'd compensate for that." The Shogun from Joshu said.
"Yes...I thought I would lend my support in the form of aerial bombardment for now, to minimize casualties." Uesama continued. "And my ships out there will probably come under fire soon, when they're done with that I'll unload them on shore. And, of course, the satellites."
