Feline invades Allanea! - Page 2
IC:
Before Cease-Fire:
"We will help you in all ways we can." said the commander.
"Troops, today we fight. We fight for peace. We fight for Axacacal. We fight for diplomacy. We will take Heston City, block by block, street by street, house by house. Or we will die trying. For liberty and country!"
All the hundreds of thousands of troops and tanks went charging out of the arms factories, stunning for 32 hours (the maximum without permanant CNS damage) the enemy soldiers. Heavy losses were taken, but they pushed hard. Barring some sort of miracle for the Allaneans, they woudl most likely take heavy losses.
Suddenly, a shell ripped into the Feline troops. "What the f*ck!" yelled the commander. "The only artillary around here is [dramatic pause while he realizes what is going on] Ilek Vaad's"
He said quickly into his helmet microphone, "Connect me to the Vaadian commander."
The display fizzled as it adapted and showed in a thumbnail view the Ilek-Vaad war room. "Hey, what the bloody h*ll do you think you are doing? There are civilians buildings in Heston City. It's a city, you know! We can take this city together without blowing up the civil structures! It'll just breed resentment among the Allaneans!" he said as he targeted his weapon at an Allanean soldier, quickly pulling the trigger.
After Cease-Fire:
"Attention all forces. Allanea has declared a cease fire. Stand down. You are authorized to take defensive action against any Allaneans who have not gotten the message yet." said the general commanding the whole war.

Pre-cease fire:
Command General Adan Ring sends his apologies to the Felinean Commander
"We apologize for any damage we caused to your forces and to Allanean civilian structures. We always try to target as carefully as possible , we are doing everything we can to maximize damage to the Allanean armed forces while minimalizing damage to civilians and others.
It is deeply regrettable that we are forced to target anyone at all , and we will stay in close contact to make sure we do not inadvertantly target your forces, or civilian targets again."
Post-cease fire:
Another message from Command General Ring
"If the Felinean Commander wishes , I would ask that he come to Heston City town hall, where I have set up headquarters, to aid in planing of distrubution of aid-services and making sure that security is maintained. If we all work together we can make sure that the discomfort to Allanean civilians is minimal , and restore the things they need to resume life as usual.
I am deeply appreciative of your help and patience."

Somewhere in Allanea:
The fighting had ended abrubtly, Leftenant William Issem stands behind his units Scorpion LAV, he is reloading his clips, near him Staff Seargent Eban Emael carefully embroiders 'Allanea' on the back of the 'Beaucent' the standard of the Purifiers. He embroiders it just below 'Corcyra', he comments without looking up
"252-1, not bad at all. I saw you in the thick of things Leftenant, it was a hard weeks work but it came off alright.
Leftenant Issem was about to reply when the tactical computer on his FN-Minimi 'pinged' he turned the speaker on it up-
"Leftenant Issem, This is Tollan Fire-control. Supreme Command has been reviewing you and your unit's tactical feeds........."
The rest of the unit rushed closer, hushed into silence..
"I have been asked to inform you, Leftenant Issem , that you have officially killed 104 armed, enemy combatants"
The men stand stunned, when one of the men suddenly shouts
"WILLIAM 'THE ONE-HUNDREDMAN!!'"
The rest of the unit begins cheering, other Purifiers rush over and begin cheering when they hear the news, William Issem stands silently, shocked in dis-belief, Seargent Emael pats him on the shoulder
"There's never been a William Issem that's been a One-Hundredman before........... William 'The One-Hundredman' Issem................. Your uncle would have been proud!"
William 'The One-Hundredman' Issem, had finally earned a moniker, no longer would he be called William 'the younger' .
The commander of the forces inside Heston City called all of his troops together into the town center. Speakers were arranged.
"We have lost many comrades. We salute the dead." The troops drew out their utility knives for the poignant ceremony that was customary for individual units to honor the dead with. "Liberty," the troops made a diagonal slash, and then sharply drove the knives down. "Honor," they made a inverse version of that slash, and then sharply drove it down. "Change," they made a circle with the knife, and then sharply drove it down. They then put the knives back into their packs. All the while, the first movement of Beethoven's ninth symphony played. The Ninth was the national anthem of Feline, but usually only the famous Ode to Joy section was played. The first was typically only used for military funerals.
"We have fought long for peace. We have fought hard for peace. We spilt much blood, too much for having non-lethal weapons. But for peace. Now we have it."
The troops cheered, threw their rifles up in the air, everything.
"We have preserved peace. Our dead brothers and sisters died for that ideal, but not in vain."
The Ode to Joy, without vocals, began playing. The soldiers took their cue. They broke out singing the words, in a joyful, tearful celebration of peace, of this music that universally symbolized this ideal.
After it was over, the volume was turned down, but it continued to play. "Alle menschen werden brĂ¼der. All men become brothers. And before the citizens of Feline become brothers once more with the citizens of Allanea, I just want to say one thing: f*ck civilian ownership of firearms!"
This was met with cheers by most of the troops.
"Now listen up. The honored dead will be loaded onto the back of armored vehicles. They will move slowly so they will not go off. We will make an immediate withdrawal from Heston City, and from Allanea. We will march to the Northern coastline, and board the ships there. We leave Allanea and Heston City and friends. I personally hope to visit Heston City after the fog of war settles, and seek consolation with the town. I encourage you to hold no malice in your hearts to our Allanean brothers. Now, load the dead and prepare to march. Take your helmets off, attach them to your suit, put your rifle over your shoulder in ceremonial position charlie, and march out. We leave these speakers to Heston City as a gift."
All the hundreds of thousands of troops got up, and left the city.

Command General Ring watched the Felinian ceremony from the Heston City Hall.
"Seargent, order the Guard to stand down and begin withdrawing to the coast."
Staff Seargent Vilstraad nodded "By your command. Tollan has requested that we re-route to Costa-Tula instead of South Haven."
Command General Ring nodded "Order our colours to be flown , we leave in triumph."
With that the Retaliatory Guard begin to depart, as swiftly and as business like as they had arrived
OOC: Just pointing out, the adjective is 'cat' not 'felinian.'
Ilek, Ok. As long as you were using clusterbomb modified cruise missiles, that's fine. The thing is that you didn't specify which type and really thought that was a waste of both resources, funding, and time. Cruise missiles are overly-expensive for their effect and are really really slow (in most cases). That's why I was commenting. Typically cruise missiles have designated, non-moving targets.

Well, that just doesen't make any sense ;)

Have you ever heard of cats (or Cats) ever making any sense?
OOC: Hey! We do make sense!
We're not the only nation that uses an adjective, even in RL, that is not a direct derivative from its name. Denmark=Danish. Guernsey, Jersey=Channel Islander. The Netherlands=Dutch. Those are just a few examples. Also, "felinian" isn't a word. Cat is.

'Felinian' is a word. In the Lassean lamguage (the one most commonly used by Vaadians) it has the following definition: felinian-adj. Used to describe a citizen of Feline or other bipedal life forms that most resemble felines.
so, there :P
