The King Khalid Military City, with a population of approximately 45,000 civilians, had been heavily defended after the seizure by Iraqi forces. An entire infantry division had been stationed here, the entire 67th Infantry Division had been stationed here, with some 50 23mm AAA guns and 25 57mm AAA guns. The men had taken positions within the buildings and the such, with the mobile AAA guns placed right next to buildings, under trees, and other such areas which would make it difficult to either find or hit without causing heavy civilian casualities.

When the Iraqi troops started to see the men being dropped out of their aircraft, it made them laugh. They had them exactly where they wanted them. The soldiers had hid until the final moment. When the paratroopers were near to the ground, they began to fire a widerange of guns, including machine guns and assault rifles. The AAA guns were moved slightly and were used to shoot at the incoming paratroopers. It was a turkey shoot, as far as the Iraqis were concerned.

On top of these forces, jihadists from around the world, numbering about 8,000 men, had been brought to the camp to fight against the "infidels".

The attack on paratroopers while they are still in the air and defenseless will be used in the trial of Saddam Hussein.

I can however see how you got that opinion…..The part about Mohammad running was a bit like the book.

Haaregradia demands that Al Anbar remove forces from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. While we are currently weighing options it is quite likely that we will deploy troops to Al Anbar if these demands are not met.

The damage was light, mostly to the abandoned military bases to the south and north of Baghdad. However, the MiG-29's didn't get a free ride across al-Anbar. They were harassed all the way.

As soon as they crossed into Al Anbar airspace, they were quickly tracked and within minutes, eight SA-2's, eight SA-5's, and six SA-10 SAMs were launched at the aircraft. After that, mid-way to Baghdad, another assault was launched with seven SA-2's, seven SA-5's, and eight SA-10's. Over Baghdad itself, hundreds of 23mm, 57mm, and 88mm AAA guns opened fire on the MiG's, while at the same time over 40 SA-2 missiles, ten SA-8 missiles, and twelve SA-10 missiles were launched.

The priority targets that were targeted before the failed cease fire are the same priority targets now.

With Rutba being secured, the 24th Mechanized Infantry and 176th Cavalry regiment are now entering Iraq from Jordan. Their destination is Baghdad. (should take them a couple of days).

The Prime Minister sighed, shaking and stretching his hands as he moved between the various reports in on his desk. The evening sun shone a pale orange light in the office, reflecting off the gold furnishings and the expansive collection of family photographs on the varnished desktop. It also reflected off the highly polished metal of the medals and stripes of the General sitting in front of him.

The Prime Minister looked at the man in front of him. A name badge read, almost humorously, with the name A. Hummer. The name belonged to the Freethinker chief of staff. The line of medals told its own story.

“So,” The PM began, breaking the silence, “what is your assessment of the situation?”
The General breathed in, sounding like a rhino about to charge, but his voice was disconcertingly soft and deep.

“The invasion, in pure military terms, has been somewhat successful, although this can be accredited to their overwhelming numerical superiority rather than any actual cleverly created tactical moves. Al-Anbar does have the upper hand in that department. They wiped out effectively an entire airborne invasion through a large and well planned ambush. Nonetheless…there has been a multiple attack on several fronts and in the conventional sense Al-Anbar looks somewhat overpowered.”

I see” The PM nodded. “Well, this is how I see the situation. Al-Anbar broke international law by invading the states of Saudi Arabia and Yemen, but, their occupation has been beneficial to both countries, with vast improvements in civil rights, a complete denial of terrorist bases in the region, and the replacement of extreme, fundamentalist dictatorship by a milder secular one. Whatever wrong was done was more than righted. And all was, mostly very peaceful.”

“Then these….there isn’t a nice term for them, we’ll just say…idiots? Then they come along, and basically screw everything up. Oil supplies have dried up, per barrel prices have shot to over $50 a barrel and our economy as well as the rest of the planet is standing a month away from the mother of all recessions. They wish to restore power to these religious idiots, and basically replace a Muslim occupying power with a Christian one. Now, we…don’t see this working out. Most likely any occupation, however brief, will result in what can only be described as bloodshed, and, really, we don’t want to see this happen.”

While Dr_Twist Military officials Watch the Events fold out on Spy Satellites, The Dr_Twist Government would like to remind the world we still have 8 Million Troops in Turkey on Al Anbars Boarder So far the Government hasn't fired a Single Bullet at Al Anbar the Troops are mainly there to add Pressure to the Al Anbar Government.

1. Al Anbar's military is approximately 1,750,000 strong with 750,000 reservists, plus now all these jihadists and paramilitary forces. I have more than enough forces.

2. This city is not far from a hostile country.

3. It is Iraq. The heartland of Al Anbar. Of course it will be defended.

The 4th infantry infantry division has moved from Jordan into Saudi Arabia and is now preparing to take the border town of Kaf (located in that little corner thing where the jordanian saudi border points inward toward the jordanian capital).
The 5th and 2nd infantry division are headed south out of Jordan to the port of Haql (located in the Gulf of Aqaba).
The 7th Cavalry (also headed out of Jordan) is headed south also but will bypass Haql and go straight to the port of Maqna (also on the gulf of Aqaba but a few miles further south than Haql.

The city of Kaf was heavily defended. The city was now the location of two infantry brigades, and also backed up by several thousand people from its population, whom have taken to the streets, angry at the damage to their holy cities and that non-Muslims were entering the holy land.

In Haql, Iraqi forces connected dynamite to the docking facilities and then blew them up when news of the forces of Whittier approaching the city. The defense of Haql was approximately the same as Kaf, and included some 5,000 civilians.

The port of Haql is being seiged by the 5th and 2nd infantries and is also under allied bombardment.

Fleet Admirl Kira Avilo stould on the deck of her pride and joy, the RNS Firestorm, the huge Air Craft Carrier was the fastest... and most pricey in the Fleet. As the ship gently swayed with the waves she looked out into the icey cold water of the pre-dawn drakness. The Fleet had been traveling all night and under cover of drakness would soon arrive in Al Anbar. Kira thought back just twenty-four hours ago to the meeting with the National Defence Commitie.

Now that the Artitsan Fleet has arrived...

The 1st Airborne will be dropped by 14 RT-1707 aircraft near King Khalid Military City. Roughly 25,000 Soldiers will be dropped along with 28 Sprut-M airdroppable tanks. A further 6 RT-1707's will drop another 12 Sprut-M's, plus flatbeds of ERA and attachable armour. And finally the last wave will be another 16 RT-1707's dropping a total of 64 Volk IFV's.

Airsupport comes in the way of JF-20's and EA-135's from the Carrier group in the Gulf.

The King Khalid Military City, with a population of approximately 45,000 civilians, had been heavily defended after the seizure by Iraqi forces. An entire infantry division had been stationed here, the entire 67th Infantry Division had been stationed here, with some 50 23mm AAA guns and 25 57mm AAA guns. The men had taken positions within the buildings and the such, with the mobile AAA guns placed right next to buildings, under trees, and other such areas which would make it difficult to either find or hit without causing heavy civilian casualities.

When the Iraqi troops started to see the men being dropped out of their aircraft, it made them laugh. They had them exactly where they wanted them. The soldiers had hid until the final moment. When the paratroopers were near to the ground, they began to fire a widerange of guns, including machine guns and assault rifles. The AAA guns were moved slightly and were used to shoot at the incoming paratroopers. It was a turkey shoot, as far as the Iraqis were concerned.

On top of these forces, jihadists from around the world, numbering about 8,000 men, had been brought to the camp to fight against the "infidels".

Casualties were light, as they soldiers were around 500-600m away. Outside of the AK-47 effective range. However 472 Soldiers were dead, with another 1200 wounded.

As they hit the ground, the Paratroopers formed up, deploying 81mm mortars. Immediatly they began to saturate the buildings firing the most, while the rest of the Soldiers used their Force Warrior systems to pick out thermal images inside the buildings. From there they would use their AVU-96 rifles to pick them off, as they have a further engagement range. Further behind these forces, the Sprut-M's had their ERA attached, and rolled forward. Their 120mm gun spitting death towards enemy positions. The overflying support aircraft dropped FAEB-1200 Fuel Air Exposives in the city. [12 Aircraft, no losses to 57mm fire :roll: I doubt you have an S-200 system attached to it, otherwise my Stealth planes will be attacked visually. Quite the feat indeed.]

Another 18 RT-1707's are inbound to drop off the 18th Airborne Division in support.

200,000 infantry rode on the amphibious assault vehicles, under heavy submarine, destroyer, cruiser, and fighter escort as they headed across the Mediterranean from Lower Egypt, to their destination, Beirut Lebanon.
Meanwhile, 400,000 troops had just started their journey across the Mediterranean with the same goal in mind.
They will arrive in 2 hours, traveling at top speed.
Meantime, aircraft were ordered off their other bombing missions and ordered to return to base and refuel and rearm for one big massive air strike at Beirut Lebanon.
All Airborne units had their orders canceled and replaced with high priority ops order. Every airborne assault division in the coalition was now airborne. Their mission top secret and their destination uknown.
Their planes used zigzag patterns so the enemy could not could figure out where they were going.
Meantime, MBT's, Crusaders, and Strykers were being packed up for the well publicized attack on Beirut, Lebanon.
All together, 5,000 MBT's of various types, 4,000 crusaders, and 5,000 Strykers were being carried through middle east on C 5 Galaxies under the heaviest fighter escort in the war's short history.
Meantime. 400 predator drones flying over Al Anbar began attacking suspected Al Anbari mobile communications and radar sights. Even those disguiesed as mobile homes.

One: There are coalition AWACs using passive radar.
Two: The area is guarded by at least 15 nuclear stealth subs using passive sonar.
Three: There are so many Coalition ships in there, it is already quite crowded.
Four: There a military satellites directly over the region that would not only be able to make your ships visually during the day
but would also be able to see their infrared signatures ( there is no way you could hide that signature without resorting to future tech which is banned in this rp), further the sattelite uses doppler radar. And at least two of these satellites have powerful enough optics (Mead and Celestron grade [actual astronomical telescope companies that specialize in making super power ful optics), that would be able to make out the features of a sailors, face.
There is no way you could even try to get in without a fight.

That is a nice godmodd, You can't get within 600 yards undetected. Remember the closest ships are 5 miles from the carrier and some are 15 miles, the rest are 25-50 miles away. In a state of war, there would be many helos up with sonar operating on active with the dipping sonar. THis attack is ignored for the impossibilities. 600 yards would be less than 2 boat lengths of my carrier. you would practically ram them.

Also, my fleet moved up into the Black Sea through the Bospurus which is controlled by Turkey (Dr. Twist) who has allied against Al Anbar. No nuclear subs can travel it submerged, but they must be on the surface.

The 1st Airborne will be dropped by 14 RT-1707 aircraft near King Khalid Military City. Roughly 25,000 Soldiers will be dropped along with 28 Sprut-M airdroppable tanks. A further 6 RT-1707's will drop another 12 Sprut-M's, plus flatbeds of ERA and attachable armour. And finally the last wave will be another 16 RT-1707's dropping a total of 64 Volk IFV's.

Airsupport comes in the way of JF-20's and EA-135's from the Carrier group in the Gulf.

The King Khalid Military City, with a population of approximately 45,000 civilians, had been heavily defended after the seizure by Iraqi forces. An entire infantry division had been stationed here, the entire 67th Infantry Division had been stationed here, with some 50 23mm AAA guns and 25 57mm AAA guns. The men had taken positions within the buildings and the such, with the mobile AAA guns placed right next to buildings, under trees, and other such areas which would make it difficult to either find or hit without causing heavy civilian casualities.

When the Iraqi troops started to see the men being dropped out of their aircraft, it made them laugh. They had them exactly where they wanted them. The soldiers had hid until the final moment. When the paratroopers were near to the ground, they began to fire a widerange of guns, including machine guns and assault rifles. The AAA guns were moved slightly and were used to shoot at the incoming paratroopers. It was a turkey shoot, as far as the Iraqis were concerned.

On top of these forces, jihadists from around the world, numbering about 8,000 men, had been brought to the camp to fight against the "infidels".

Casualties were light, as they soldiers were around 500-600m away. Outside of the AK-47 effective range. However 472 Soldiers were dead, with another 1200 wounded.

As they hit the ground, the Paratroopers formed up, deploying 81mm mortars. Immediatly they began to saturate the buildings firing the most, while the rest of the Soldiers used their Force Warrior systems to pick out thermal images inside the buildings. From there they would use their AVU-96 rifles to pick them off, as they have a further engagement range. Further behind these forces, the Sprut-M's had their ERA attached, and rolled forward. Their 120mm gun spitting death towards enemy positions. The overflying support aircraft dropped FAEB-1200 Fuel Air Exposives in the city. [12 Aircraft, no losses to 57mm fire :roll: I doubt you have an S-200 system attached to it, otherwise my Stealth planes will be attacked visually. Quite the feat indeed.]

Another 18 RT-1707's are inbound to drop off the 18th Airborne Division in support.

The commander in charge of operations in Kaf has called in airstrikes to annihilate the enemy positions which were spotted by EyeSky as passed overhead in its orbit around the earth.
The enemy positions were confirmed by various coalition military surveillance satellites.
The result was that Al Anbari positions were now being pounded by over 600 coalition aircraft which began their attacks by striking the ground to radar sites first. Then they began striking the enemy troops themselves, annihilating the great deal of them. Al Anbari comms centers and tents were ignored in the attack.
The 48,000 Coalition troops then moved in to begin pacification of the town.

AA has been refusing to respond to almost everyone's rp. Watch him call my airstrikes on Kaf and its occupation a godmode.
And he won't anyone else rp Saudi or Kuwait. But those nation's people are just as nationalist as modern americans are. That is why arab nationalism failed in rl. Local nationalism was stronger than racial nationalism. Hence the reason the United Arab Republics broke up after only 3 years of existence. To say that Kuwaitis and Saudi's would gladly support an invasion and annexation of their countries is not based on reality. And that is where the problem lies with the way AA has been rping this war.

Pan-arab nationalisation was going pretty good, until certain countries including my own decided it wouldnt be a good thing to have.

Poor Saddam.

Casualties were light, as they soldiers were around 500-600m away. Outside of the AK-47 effective range. However 472 Soldiers were dead, with another 1200 wounded.

As they hit the ground, the Paratroopers formed up, deploying 81mm mortars. Immediatly they began to saturate the buildings firing the most, while the rest of the Soldiers used their Force Warrior systems to pick out thermal images inside the buildings. From there they would use their AVU-96 rifles to pick them off, as they have a further engagement range. Further behind these forces, the Sprut-M's had their ERA attached, and rolled forward. Their 120mm gun spitting death towards enemy positions. The overflying support aircraft dropped FAEB-1200 Fuel Air Exposives in the city. [12 Aircraft, no losses to 57mm fire :roll: I doubt you have an S-200 system attached to it, otherwise my Stealth planes will be attacked visually. Quite the feat indeed.

Another 18 RT-1707's are inbound to drop off the 18th Airborne Division in support.

Total casualties:
850 Dead
1800 Wounded

OOC: I'd like to point out that while it is a "military city", there are tens of thousands of civilians also living here. Mainly families of the defeated Saudi Army.

The Iraqi soldiers fled from the outskirts of the military city, taking heavy casualities. They fired back on the Artistian forces here and there during the retreat, in a supression-type mode. Several of the 23mm and 57mm guns were captured or destroyed by the Artistian forces. Casualities were as follows:

This changed after 1990 with the illegal sanctions and bombing which caused widespread destruction. He could no longer update his equipment and get new medicines.

5. Kuwaitis and Saudis aren't helping you. Saudi Arabia didn't even let you base troops or aircraft in their territory during the war. That is why they haven't sent troops in. That is why they haven't forgiven Iraq's debt. Same with Kuwait minus the troops.

We were not asked to leave. They want us to stay to protect them from the terrorists.
