"What is it?"
"Not sure, analysis is inconclusive."
Two men, draped in dirtied white jackets, looked at the simmering sphere of blue light in front of them. One short, black haired, the other taller, balder, older. The short man spoke first.
"Did the space invert? Containment is confirmed...but...this is not...this can't be happening..."
"You believe it to be stable?"
"Don't you?"
The younger man placed a hand on the surface of the glowing sphere.
"Get me StaffComm right now!"

"General, our spysats above the nation of The Freethinkers have just detected a large amount of particle emissions..."
"They couldn't have possibly gotten the device to work, could they?"
"It certainly looks like it..."
"Mobilize the 12th Army. We go to take it for ourselves."
"Affirmative sir."
OOC: The 12th Army:
12,000 Basic CF troopers equipped with X-3 powered armor and XLw-18 Laser Assault Rifles
1000 CF Elite troopers equipped with X-4 powered armor, XM-14 Automatic Cannons, and XS-117 Laser Sniper Rifles
800 XT-1 Automated attack tanks
500 XT-2 Heavy Assault Tanks
200 Underwater Troopers
50 XC-2 Aerial attack fighters
1 "Drillion" Mobile HQ
200 AA Vehicles
20 M227 MRLS systems
500 Combat Engineers with 20 Engineering vehicles
Don't worry. They won't actually do any damage. I'm planning on having them intercepted by some sort of fantasy army. If you are okay with it, that is.
Pleasant rolling hillocks embroidered with waves of deep green grass swirled in the light spring breeze, showering a slim young girl in the midst of gentle trough with cherry blossoms. Suddenly, a terrible, distant thunder sent her reeling. Holding her now bleeding ears, she turned in the direction of the noise. Heavy grey clouds now roiled overhead, the winds whipping round her, chilling her to the bone. Far, far into the distance a midnight blue abyss rent the sky...
Deep within the subterranean bowels of the Directorate of Biological Signals Retrieval and Analysis, an alarm bell tore Cpl. Pollock from his studying for his sergeant's exam. The EEG readings were unlike any he had ever seen. Checking the CCTV monitors, he saw the girl writhing in bed, flailing against the restraints and tubes. "Capt. Weatherby! Pigeon 12 has returned!"
Inside the Goblin city of Half-Moon:
King Krark knew something was wrong when he saw something with more heads than legs. In the swamp there were lots of wierd things, but here he had thought that he was safe, what with the guards. However, he managed to pull out the wonderful little revovler he had purchased over 'E-bay', it didnt work, but it wieghed quite a bit.
He threw it.
On contact with the creature six .44 magnum shells fired at once, one was blocked by the trigger and richoceted off into the caverns, but five found their mark and the creature was badly mangled.
"GUARDS! Get urr scrawny asses up here!" The king screeched.
Shortly after a group of goblins with assault rifles scurried around the corner, two had got the clips in backwards, but they were soon set right.
Krark immidiatly set off for his 'scientists', wanting to know what happened.
The lab was a mess, something had made every explosive (Goblin scientists like things that explode) in the place go off, two survivors informed him that they had no idea what was going on. However, a strange burst on the 'radar' had caught their attention, it seemed to be the source of the trouble.
Reports were that creatures were wandering around, being killed. Interestingly few casualites were being reported, apparently his nation was handling its little crises quite well and a very large number (suprisingly large) had been mounted outside the cave.
Krark objected to this, but his people insisted on it.
Shortly Krark was with his war councle, determining who to send, to the beat of Goblin war drums, gunfire and screams. At one point one of the creatures was chased down the hall by a swarm of Goblin children, who were happly attached to its feet, legs and tail...s.
Forces deployed by Half-Moon:
50,000 Goblin Militia
3,000 Goblin Troopers
40 Goblin Snipers
500 Sappers
1,000 T-34
500 T-62
1,500 Panzer II
3 M1A1 Abrahms
2,000 Armoured cars of assorted types
250 Gliders

OOC: Awaiting an appropriate opening....
The Accursed Legion's numbers will probably start out small, but grow. They use low-tech weapons, primarily bows and swords, which are enhanced by the power of the Accursed Silver Spoon. Beware the full moon; they are especially dangerous when it is out....
[OOC: Okay, I'm going to have Khrrck's forces, plus a few magical beasties (yes, dragons, you guessed it) from the Wyrms' homeworld.]
It was an ordinary day in the Mages' Guild. At least, it was until every spatial disturbance detector in the place shattered.
Student mages dashed through the tunnels, carrying pieces of detector to the analysis labs. A small group of Air mages formed a team and tried to get a ancient crystal ball to work. The Archmage called for a general meeting to determine why every thaumometer in the place was going off the scale.
Finally, after a few hours, the crystal-ball team got it to pinpoint the location of the disturbance; a spatial rift inside the country of the Half-Moon Goblins.
The 6th Government Air Scouts launched their Songbird long-range fighters and screamed off toward the rift at Mach 2. A few enterprising mages dug up ancient levitation spells and followed at a slower pace, the escalating magic levels making things previously unheard-of possible.
The local airbase worked to ready a long-range assault pack.

The Den, underneath a nameless mountain in a nameless land, woke slowly. The three dragons who were resting there, after a long and exhausting day, were reluctant to get up when it happened.
Ak'mar (his full name was Ak'marthar'ikal, but that was too hard to say.) was the first to notice the disturbance. One of the Den's exits was darker than it should have been.
Ak'mar called over his friends and made off towards the exit, his claws clicking on the wet granite.
At close range, Ak'mar could see that the exit was covered by a sheet of something dark and oily-looking. It certainly wasn't anything he'd ever seen before; it wavered and distorted, as if it was rippling in the wind. Some cave-demons seemed to have gone through it already; he could see the clutter of tracks leading up to it.
One of Ak'mar's friends, (Sk'mak, also known as Sk'makthal'ikka) braced himself, extended his six-foot neck, and fired off a blast of flame at the sheet; it disappeared without a trace.
"Strange." rumbled Ak'mar's other friend. (Tk'akr, AKA Tk'akrra'ikal)
Tk'akr craned her head around the edge of the sheet. "I can't see it from this side. It's like it wasn't there."
Sk'mak tilted his black-scaled head and examined the sheet closely with one reptilian eye. "I've never seen anything like this. Have you, Ak'mar?"
Ak'mar shook his head. "No. There's only one way to find out..."
Ak'mar took a deep breath, and slid his head through the sheet, followed by the rest of his blue-scaled bulk.
Tk'akr and Sk'mak looked at each other wordlessly, then followed Ak'mar through the sheet.
[OOC: This is the exit into Half-Moon Goblin territory, as you may have deduced from the cave-demon tracks.]

The two space frigates Terran Defense Fleet (TDF) Mercutio and the TDF Hermes slowly blasted through space on rout to a minor pirate uprising. Both ships were fast and heavily armed.
Stats:
Mercury Class frigates one with missile load and one with Fighter Load
TDF Mercutio and the TDF Hermes
Crew: 30 minus the 12 marines
Weapons:
Laser cannon, Missile bank with 20 Long range all aspect missiles (reload-able), Rear Auto Cannon, 2 forward facing turreted plasma cannons, 6 Long range ship buster launch tubes (forward facing only), 10 CID 1 mm rail guns (turreted),
*the Hermes has an additional 15 long range missiles slung under its center fuselage.
Sub Ships:
4 Shuttles (two per ship) and 3 Hornet Class fighters (based on the Mercutio)
24 armored Marines (12 ACS per ship)
The two ships were just passing their first waypoint out of Sirius base as a giant blue orb appeared in front of the ships. It flahsed ot of nowere and the two crews had no chance to react at their present speed. Both ships slammed into the orb and were lost from sensors immidiatly. The orb remained however and after a few worried hours of probing and guarding a scientific vehical was dispatched to invesitgate....those findings are still being awaited.
Meanwhile the two frigates are somwhere in the unknown but the crews are well trained and highly motivated. Were will they wind up? and how will they get home.

"Ohhh, wats dis?" A Goblin named Hackeye looked at the strange black thing in his 'house'
"DUnno, trow a rock at it!" Squee (Squee is basicaly Goblin for 'John') grinned, and heaved a boulder, which dissapeared without a trace
"Hrm, dont do nothin', go touch it."
"You touch it! I not so crazy." Squee backed off slightly
"Fine, I show you." Hackeye sidled up to it, while Squee ducked behind the corner.
Just as Hackeye reached toward the portal a huge gush of flame incinerated him.
"What I tell you? Now I have to clean mess!" Squee glared around the corner, straight into the eyes of the dragon. His eyes widened even more than normal and his jaw dropped, however he resolved not to be eaten without a fight and grabbed his musket. "Who you? What you want?"
He took a deep breath to make himself look bigger.

"SO let me get this straight...you think this is a interdimensional portal and you want me to muster the entire Freethinker Armed Forces for an invasion by an unknown, though most likely, army of beings that could not possibly exist in my own time and space period..."
The General stared at the two scientists sitting before him. The setting sun shone through the window, reflecting off a veritable pound of silver sitting in decorations on his chest.
"Gentlemen, call me *slightly* cynical, but..." The report in his hands landed on the desk in front of him witha dull thud, and a short, stubby fingered traced the worn sticker that heralded its title. "What is this, really?"
"General," The shorter, black haired one spoke up. "Okay, lets start from the beginning...again," he added with a sigh. "At roughly 1000 hours yesterday we tried a test firing of the cyclor cannon. We were going to fire off a small scale nuclear device within the confines of a focused magnetic field. However, we used an old WN - 54 warhead, with the smaller physics package of about 3 kt, its tactical mode." He cough slightly. The General stared out the window.
"Well," the speaker continued. "The device was faulty, it yield its full, 90 kt load instead...the shield wasnt strong enough. In our desperation we turned up the field. But, we calculated, it wasn't strong enough...we thought, but..."
"But?" The General tapped his fingertips on the desk in front of him.
"It held....enough for the power of the device to be concentrated...the heat...the pressure, the sheer force directed at the heart of that reaction. It tore open...a hole...through our standard four dimensional world."
The General sdidnt say anything.
"As you've already said..."
The scientist gave a sigh of desperation. "These photos were sent by a UAV we sent through this portal. " He passed a sheath of photographs to the General, who flipped it open and stared. "These photo's are not false, General."
The General flicked through. "I see...I take it these are meant to be funny?"
"No, General..." But his next words were drowned out as a bright blue flash shown through the window. All of them lept up, to see two large, dark objects filling the sky above the base. The TDF Mercutio and Hermes....

Ak'mar snorted derisively, craned his neck forward, and yanked Squee's musket out of his hands, then bit down, crumpling the barrel beyond repair.
"What's this?" asked Ak'mar, as Tk'akr emerged from the portal.
Tk'akr examined Squee with one large eye. "A goblin. I've seen them before. Not too bright. I don't know how this one got a thunderstick; the Wyrms don't sell those easily."
"Come on, let's get out of here." Ak'mar squeezed through the enterance, shoving the frightened goblin out of the way. "If Sk'mak turns up now I don't know what would happen. This place certainly isn't big enough."
Tk'akr cast a quizzical look at the crumpled remains of Squee's musket before following Ak'mar out of the goblins' cave. "That thing doesn't look like any thunderstick I've ever seen. Could they have possibly discovered how to make one themselves?"
Sk'mak slid through the portal behind them, and left the cave as well.
Ak'mar nodded to Sk'mak. "Okay. First order of buisness; scout the terrain. I've never seen this place before."
Tk'akr eyed the dismal swamp. "Neither have I. I'll go on a scouting flight-"
"That might not be that good an idea." Ak'mar eyed Tk'akr's shiny red scales. "You're not exactly inconspicuous."
Sk'mak nodded. "I'll go up. I'm black, so I won't show up too much against the clouds, and you can follow on foot."
Tk'akr and Ak'mar looked at each other and nodded. "Good idea. Come on, let's go."
Sk'mak unfolded his thirty-foot wings, braced himself, and leaped into the air. His wings beat rapidly as he gained altitude, finally levelling off a few hundred feet above ground level. His voice drifted down from above. "Not much I can see, it's foggy. Looks like our best route is through the swamp."
Ak'mar nodded. "Okay, we'll head into the swamp." he shouted.
Ak'mar set off into the swamp, followed by Tk'akr.

The 6th Government Air Scouts arrived over the northern border of Half-Moon territory in a decidedly unstealthy manner. Sonic booms echoed for miles around.
OOC: Umm...not to be rude or anything, but Goblins live in cave systems, quite large and complicated. Im not sure how big your dragons are, but your average Goblin tunnel is 5 feet high and six or seven feet wide with larger 'building' caverns. Sorry I didnt tell you...
IC:
Squee stood with his back to the wall, watching as the dragons squeezed past. Once they had gone he scurried through the caves toward the garrison.
"D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d!!!" He said when he arrived.
Fifteen Goblin troopers had no idea what he was saying, but they snatched up their somewhat more modern weapons, mostly AK-47s and similar Soviet rifles and headed out.
From the top of the mountain three gliders dropped, hit a thermal group and jumped up to the dragons height.
Once alongside the glider flight commander waved to the dragon, when this failed to attract its attention it threw a rock.
"Hey! What'r you doin 'ere? Yous be in da Half-Moon territory!" He waved a bit more for emphasis.
On the ground a small group of Goblins wrestled with an outdated SAM system, heavily modified, it would hopefully not explode in their faces.

Captain Anzag was confused as he had ever been in his life. One moment he had been cruising along in nearspace the next his ship was tumbling end over end in a nauseating high gee spin. After that had all worked out he hit the intership commo button and began to talk to Captain Strum on the Mercutio.
"What the hell was that?" he asked fear still in his voice.
"I have no idea Anzag, But my astrotech can't id any of the nearby stars. My crew is alright though only a few minor injuries"
"I wish i could say the same, i don't even have an Astrotech on the bridge anymore, we came out of whatever that was spinning like a top, i have at least 4 serious head injuries among my crew. Nothing a few biomeds can't fixup though."Anzag sighed.
"Ok Cap my astrotech has just ID'ed a planet about 5 AU away we will attempt to jump to it when we are there we will set up a nav beacon to lead you in seeing as your astrotech is down.
"Can do Strum thanks for your help"
"Any time wingmate see you in about an hour Strum out."
"Alright Anzag out"
Anzag turned to his remaing bridge crew and started to get them orginized enough to make a quite light jump.....

"...very good, I hope to see this completed soon" Andres Toro, Chief Minister and Minister of the Offworlds said as he handed back a folder to the minister of R & D,
"Mr Toro, a notice just arrived from Offworld 6, they say its urgent" a messenger explained as he ran towards Andres,
"Well if its urgent then" Andres said tacking the notice
Mr Toro
Earlier today we picked up an energy reading from the home world. We haven't been able to triangulate where it came from but where searching. We will inform you of future progressions
"Gentlemen" Andres addressed the bridge "Take this offworld out of stationary mode and turn on the engines, I want you to take us as close to offworld six as you can."
As the engines began to warm up Andres made his way out of the bridge.
"This is indeed strange. This could end up being something completely new for me" thought Andres as he walked, "then again this has already turned interesting, I have never been told that someone has picked up a reading of an unidentified energy source , I just hope I’m not putting this offworld in danger."

"General, we seem to have a problem" cried an aide, running in through the door, "freethinkers seem to have opened an interdimensional rift with a weapons test"
"damn, mobilise the special interdimensional resopnse unit" replied the general.
After a couple of phone calls from a fairly frantic aide, a unit of techies with several special support vehicles head to their aeroplanes and launch them towards the base that had already been prepared for just such a contingency.
Once there they set up their equipment and start working on a way to track down the pattern of the rift's fluctuations.
Also, several military units scramble from their bases and move to secure the area in case of the rift moving to there.
And, last of all, all NSAA troops are put on alert to deal with any other rift openings in our territory.
The rock bounced off Sk'mak's scales with a loud clack. "What do you think you're doing?" he yelled. "Throwing rocks? I'll teach you!"
Sk'mak yanked a glob of power from the ether and slammed a gale-force wind into the commander's glider.
Ak'mar looked up. "Damnit, Sk'mak's lost his temper again. Head for that stretch of open water over there. We've got to get out of here."

Admiral Paul Henbane watched the plots of the various seaships and spaceships heading towards the space-time disturbance. "Pity we can't turn this problem over to Space Command," he muttered. "And what could they do with four wobbly cutters?" answered Vice-Admiral Unger. "At least then we wouldn't have to write to our sailors' parents."

The Azbinian Fifth Fleet set sail today from its homeport. No word has been given by the Admiralty as to its destination.
Even after the change of government, Azbinians are still leery of foreign involvement after the Vondell Incident.
This is Tara Plehvin for ARTC 1 News.
The Goblins flight commander was rather suprised when the winds hit, he would have been suprised again if he hadnt exploded.
The entire cargo of five large Goblin Bombs detonated at once due to the jostle, and a rather big area was engulfed in a huge explosion.
These events did not go unnoticed by the Goblins on the ground, having gotten the missiles into place they began the firing sequence.
"Fire! Aim! Ready!"
Whoooooooosssshhhhhh
Three of the opticaly guided missile soared into the sky, trailing smoke and fire.

Anzag by now had a full crew...everything was operational on his ship. The Hermes was now floating level in space and the Astrodrive crew were busily awating the mercutio's beacon's activation. About 5 minutes later they beacon came on and the Astrotechs jumped the ship it took 30 seconds to travel 5 cubic light years. Upon arriving at the planet now dubed "Mountain 1" or planetary body 0923451. The Hermes and the Mercutio locked in a tight formation and began to enter a high orbit around "Moutain 1". Little did they know that they would be finding. After 2 days of serching the surface for life and searching space for sings in the stars of were they were none of the crew could figure out what had happened. But there was something interesting on the planet floor.
OOC: Halfmoon can what i have called "Mountain 1" be your planet you seem to be quite the rper and i would look forward to fighting you and this mage guy, also since it seems that none of your goblins have left your world your nation could be the focal point of the war if you want
also my website were you can find some technical information is www.freewebs.com/bigred22/
[OOC: Nice touch, having the goblins go through their firing sequence backwards.]
Sk'mak's eyes widened as he saw the incoming missiles. What kind of spell is that?
He slammed a general-purpose counterspell into the missiles' path, and panicked as they simply ignored it.
Sk'mak flung a huge mass of raw, undirected magic at the missiles. One of them melted in mid-air; another turned into a interesting six-dimensional sculpture before vanishing.
Unfortunately, one of the missiles survived. It detonated just off Sk'mak's left wingtip, spraying shrapnel through the membrane.
Sk'mak screamed; a high, piercing noise. He spiraled out of control and plummeted into the trees over the swamp.

6GOAS-Lead: Dragons? Here?
6GOAS-4: It must be that rift. I hope the mages arrive soon...
The five Songbirds swooped low over the swamp as they rocketed toward the commotion.
******************
Ak'mar saw Sk'mak spiral out of control. "The bastards! Get them!" he bellowed.
6GOAS-Lead: Gods! They speak our language! One, take care of those gliders, now!
6GOAS-1: Missiles armed. Locking...
Ak'mar and Tk'akr charged out of the swamp toward the SAM battery, flaming any goblin unlucky enough to get in their way.
******************
Arak Ironscale, graduate of the Mages' Guild and accomplished combat mage, gazed at the miles and miles of monotonous swamp rolling by beneath him as he sped towards the rift.
He tried to idle away the time by fixing minor flaws in the levitation spell he was using, but that paled quickly; there wasn't really much to fix.
Finally he saw the mountains in the distance; he was approaching his destination.
OOC: Thanks :)
The two remaining gliders were now circling off to the side of the battle, once the first dragon went down they quickly saw the many advantages of being underground again.
The now flight commander fiddled with his radio.
"Dis flight numba..." He paused to count "Two, we in big lotta trouble 'ere, yous seal da exits or we all be toasty, got it?"
The radio squeaked an affirmative, then the flight commander picked up a bomb.
"KRRRREEEEEEEYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" Was an approximation of what he said at the time as he heaved the first bomb at a dragon, the second glider broke off for a landing.
On ground level the Goblins at the SAM site were somewhat distracted by the presence of a dragon.
Three siezed AK-47 rifles and began blasting, the remaining two grabbed Goblin bombs, the rest of the crew (five) died from the dragon blast.
"Joo stoopid lizerd! You no scare me!" A Goblin heaved another bomb at the dragon.
---
Another glider patrol was now heading toward the activity, but paused along the way when they found a man floating in the air.
"'Scuse me mifter, you gotta passport?" Said one, trying to keep himself level with the mage.

IC: Corporal Becker was alive, albiet barely. Everything from immediately before the rift sucked the entire army up was a blur. He felt disoriented and sick to his stomach. It felt as though his heart was fighting to get out of his chest. All he remembered was a falling sensation, and then he ended up here. Although he had no idea where 'here' was.
He tried to get his bearings. He was apparently inside a cave system of some sort. Nothing else was around, the rest of the army was nowhere to be seen.
"All right, first thing's first. I've got to find out where the hell I am. Then I'll go searching for the rest of my men." He thought to himself.
Suddenly, a shrill female voice sounded through his armor: "Warning...Proximity alert..." His motion tracker had picked up something moving close by.
Becker's pulse started to race. He checked his laser rifle... Fourtnately it was still functional. Completely absent were his grenades. His belt must have ripped off on the trip through the rift.
[OOC: Er, Arak isn't human... should have made that clear.
He's about eight feet long, covered in steel-grey scales, quadrupedal, possessed of some extremely sharp claws.
He's wearing what looks like a cross between a backpack and a mechanical spider; a long, low metal housing with two robotic arms folded along the right side, and a Minigun bolted to the left.
He has a speaker implanted at the base of his short neck (Wyrms can't speak English, normally; their mouths aren't shaped right.) and uses it to speak with. ]
Arak twisted in mid-air and looked quizzically at the goblin.
"I wassn't aware that I needed one." he hissed, quietly.
He grinned, exposing an array of nasty-looking teeth. "Of coursse, if you want to contesst the fact, I have no objectionss."
*****************
Ak'mar swore as bullets punched through his scales.
He wove a quick hardening spell into his scales and grinned as the bullets stopped penetrating and started bouncing.
Tk'akr dodged the first goblin bomb and slapped the second one with her tail, sending it flying back toward the goblins.
****************
The 6th Government Air Scouts dived and started strafing the goblins with their 25mm cannon, pausing only to fire a missile at the one remaining glider.
[OOC: I hate double posts... *mutters*]
The Goblin hesitated briefly.
"Err...well, yr'see, I could be provid'n you wit one, I just gotta stamp et, den you can go about'cher buisness...sir." He rummaged in a little pack and produced a badly bound book.

The goblins dove out of the way, one wasnt quick enough and learned briefly that you can, in fact, live without your head for a few seconds. The others made for the bushes, one paused and grabbed something off of his back.
His name was Baglag, and he was pissed.
Heaving the RPG onto his shoulder, he screamed and hit the firing stud.

"WHAT DA HELL IS GOIN' ON HERE!?!" Krack bellowed once he was in the control room.
"Sir, onaf our gliders was attacked, somtin big sir."
"Well, find out what! You want to get inna war fer no reason? Lotsa Goblins die inna last war, and I see to it dat you onna da dead ones if dis happen again!."

After the engines started and the offworld finally made its way to offworld 6, Andres Toro made his way from bridge to bridge. As he entered the bridge of offworld 6 the Bridge Commander greeted him,
"Ah, Minister Toro, so glad to see you, and what timing too" greeted the commander,
"Good timing, what do you mean?" Andres questioned the commander,
"Well you see we have more energy signals, one was very close, just in eye sight,” the commander said as he pointed out the bridge window to a ship in the distance, "and the other was on the motherland."
Making his way to the window Andres studied what he could of the ship, "Country?"
"We don't know yet, but a pod has been sent out,"
Andres turned around and made his way back to the commander,
"And what of the motherland energy source, what country is that"
"I'm sorry, we haven't mapped that area of the motherland,"
"Yes, well, send a mapping crew, and call General Asservatham, we may need his help."

" Were approaching the ship now " the voice was from the pods pilot, " there doesn't seem to be ... oh wait ... what looks like, transports just came out of the ship. Their heading to the motherland. Should I follow " the pilot asked the bridge of offworld 6?
" Negative SP1, do your mission, find out where this ship came from "
" Roger that " the pilot responded as he let go of the com button and launched his pod towards the unknown ship.

Arak shook his head. "Sorry, but I just don't have time." He caught a glimpse of something black and shiny down in the swamp. "Excuse me."
Arak cut the levitation spell and plummeted, re-engaging it to kill his momentum. He dropped a few inches to the ground and looked around.
Sk'mak was lying half-out of a small lake. His left wing membrane was scorched and shredded. Blue light flickered over it at intervals.
Sk'mak's eyes snapped open as Arak approached. "No time to talk. Tell the others to get out of there. They don't know what they're up against..."
Arak nodded.
***********************
Tk'akr tried to dodge the rocket, but just wasn't fast enough. The rocket slammed into the ground next to her front-right leg, peppering it with shrapnel and scorching it severely.
Tk'akr screamed with rage and leaped forward. She landed just in front of Baglag, wingtips whipping forward to hang on either side of him.
"You are going to die." she hissed. Kilowatts of electricity flashed from between her wingtips and earthed themselves on Baglag's head.
The Songbirds pulled out of their strafing run and came around towards the dragons. "Get out of here!" bellowed a PA speaker on the lead plane.
Ak'mar grabbed one of the SAM launcher's support girders with his teeth and yanked it out. He clapped it against Tk'akr's injured leg, ignoring the collapsing launcher and his bullet wounds as he bound it on with thin tendrils of magic. "Come on. Let's get out of here. I don't know half of what's going on, but it's not good."
Ak'mar braced himself, flipped his twenty-foot wings open, and launched into the sky. Tk'akr followed suit, wobbling slightly as she pushed off with her injured leg.
The five Songbirds dropped into formation around the dragons and led them towards Khrrck.
***********************
Sk'mak groaned fitfully. "You've taken care of them?"
Arak nodded. "Yes. Now, what exactly are you doing here?'
"Got hit by a spell... never seen the like before. Tore my wing up-"
"That wasn't a spell." Arak examined Sk'mak's scorched wing. "It was a SAM missile. Gods, you've taken a beating."
Sk'mak nodded. "It hurts... It'll take weeks to heal."
Arak looked dismayed. "We've got to get out of here. It's only a matter of time before they bring in tanks, or real aircraft. Maybe my levitation spell will work..."
Arak wove the levitation spell around Sk'mak and fed power into it. Sk'mak wobbled, but stayed on the ground.
"I'm not strong enough..."
Sk'mak examined the spell with interest. "Here, let me try." He poked at it until he located the power input, then funneled a massive surge of magic into it.
Arak gaped in astonishment as Sk'mak rocketed into the sky. "How can you do that?"
Sk'mak grinned. "Power."
Arak levitated up to Sk'mak, and they both set off towards Khrrck.

The Goblin immigration officer grumbled to himself about time wasters, then dipped his glider to follow, nobody had gotten into the country without a passport on HIS watch (Of course, very few people WANTED to come to his country) and he would be damned if he was going to start letting them in now.
Circling a few times, he dropped where he thought he had seen the big-lizardy thing go.
"Oh...errr..." He stuttered when he saw the other dragon "Errr...joo need....me-di-cal as-is-tantsss?" He worked his mouth around the words slowly, then proffered a medical kit from his glider, it was rusty and had 'Best if used by 1950' printed on it.

Arak drifted over and eyed the kit uncertainly. "I doubt that would be of any usse. Keep it."
Sk'mak eyed the glider, seemingly trying to decide if he should smash it out of the air.
Arak caught Sk'mak's glare. "Leave it alone. We're in enough trouble already."
Sk'mak nodded as they flew away from the officer. "Why'd you sell those things to them?"
Arak chuckled. "We're not the only people with gliders around here. I don't know who they bought them from."
Sk'mak peered at Arak; now that they were in the air and away from danger, he had time to pay more attention to things.
"You're like no Wyrm I've ever seen."
Arak nodded. "We're the descendants of the Fourth Army. I think that according to your history books it would have vanished unexpectedly?"
Sk'mak gaped. "That was five hundred and twenty years ago? You mean that you've been here, in the-" He stopped, suddenly, and looked around. "This isn't the Murtaghah Swamps, is it? Are we even on the same planet?"
Arak shook his head. "Nope. I don't know what's going to happen to you, but we're heading back into our territory."
Just then, Ak'mar, Tk'akr, and the Songbirds arrived from behind.
"Sk'mak!" exclaimed Ak'mar. "I thought they had killed you!"
Sk'mak grimaced. "It's not for want of trying. You don't look too well yourself, youngster."
Arak looked between Sk'mak and Ak'mar. Now that he was paying attention, he could spot the signs; Sk'mak was a good ten feet longer than Ak'mar and Tk'akr, with a correspondingly longer wingspan. "How old are you, Sk'mak?"
Sk'mak closed his eyes and thought for a moment. "About forty years since I hatched... is this planet on the same timescale?"
"I think it is. And Ak'mar?"
"Twenty or so. I'm not sure."
Ak'mar nodded. "That's right."
A few hours later, Arak looked down; the swamp had been replaced by barren plain, which was rapidly turning into desert. "We're almost there."

FNS Atlas - Fargon Gulf.
Captain Nathanial Basington stared out at the calm waters as the Atlas performed a slow turn in the tranquil ocean surface. A soft wall of spray kicked up around the vessel in a graceful arc as the Atlas swung through 180 degrees to begin its return to port.
The ship, the latest Atlas class vessel to have been launched, was completing its shakedown cruise. Her crew had spent the last week getting to grips with the combat systems and ironing any problems left over from the shipyards. Now able and ready, she steadied herself toreturn to port for a few days before setting out on her first active patrol.
At least that had been the plan.
The portal opened up beneath the ship. Technically the vessel literally fell into it as the water beneath it drain through the tear in space-time. All the crew knew, or at least felt, was the world giving way beneath them and then suddenly all was black.
The boat slammed into the surface of another lake, or sea, or ocean, r something. As the crew pulled themselves up and tried to figure out what just happened, the ship managed to beach itself on a low sandbank.
An hour later, the tide receding, the six-thousand ton steel bulk of the Atlas sat clear of the water, lodged in the sand. Several crew members clambered down the side of the ship to see if they could move her, but swiftly came to the conclusion they would have to wait til the tide and the sea returned in their favour. Meanwhile, upon the bridge, Basington watched openmouthed as a little green man appeared walking up the beach towards them...

Arak looked ahead. "Yes! There it is!"
Ahead, a small, barren plateau rose out of the desert sands. The perimeter was studded with concrete enterances, and the top bristled with collection nets and communications apparatus. Thick, black smoke rose from vents on the top, drifting up through the air.
The five Songbirds broke formation and dove for a cavern enterance. Inside, the end of a runway was just visible. The Songbirds dived one by one into the enterance, and were caught by the arresting gear.
"What is it?" Sk'mak extended his neck as far as it would go and surveyed the plateau.
Arak grinned. "This is the Mages' Guild. You can only see about a tenth of it; the rest is underground. Impressive, no?"
"Can we land now?" asked Tk'akr.
Arak nodded, and pointed. "Let's head for that hollow down there. We can get in from there."
"Finally." Tk'akr folded her wings against her body and dropped like a hawk, snapping them open at the last moment to land in a thunder of wingbeats and a cloud of flying sand. Ak'mar followed suit.
Sk'mak grinned. "Show-offs." He lowered himself more sedately, touching down gently, with Arak following.
"Okay." Arak pointed over a sand dune. "We'll head in and get medical assistance for you three, then we'll go to the Armory. I want to find out what's going on back there."
Suddenly, a small, light hovercraft rocketed over a nearby sand dune. The pilot didn't even wait to hit the ground before he started bellowing. "State your name and buisne-buis-bu-b..."

OOC: This will be very short, my apologies.
IC: Basington watched with sharp eyes as the little figure walked up the sandy beach towards the Atlas. Being stuck on land left hima nd the ship very vulnerable.
The little green figure walked out in front of the ship, standing just below the bow. Basington shrugged his shoulders, and, nodding to his XO, walked out onto one of the bridge wings and called out to the man 60 feet below them.
Then he saw the dragons in the distance, flying away. In one long second, his brain froze froze, then he swooned, fainted, fell over the side-railing and landed with a dull thud in the shallow water that had formed in the trench the Atlas had made itself on its way in.
"Damn" The goblin muttered, and headed toward the boat, his hands in the air. "Joo guys need help? I get him from da wat'r okie?" HE waved some more to indicated his helpfulness.
Arak grinned. "Yes, it's me. And this is Sk'mak, Ak'mar, and Tk'akr." he said, indicating the dragons.
The hovercraft pilot looked stunned. "Gods, the whole Guild will want to hear of this... You can go on." he added, remembering his duty.
Arak nodded. "Tell Medical that we need some help out by the freight enterance."
He led the dragons over the dune, towards the plateau. A large steel door was set in one of the concrete entrance tunnels; it glided open as he approached.
The dragons walked through the doorway; it was big enough even to fit Sk'mak, who was eight feet tall at the shoulder.
Arak led them through the tunnel into a large, open space, where cargo would normally be unloaded from convoys. Right now the only occupants were a pair of Copperclaw medics, who goggled at the dragons.
Arak nodded to the medics. "Come on, let's get to work."
One of the medics stepped up and examined Ak'mar. "You've got more than a dozen bullet wounds..." He reached out to the bullets embedded in Ak'mar, thinning them and lengthening them, so he could pull them out along the channels they had made going in.
The other medic examined Tk'akr's scorched and battered leg. "Okay, let's get the shrapnel out. Who splinted this? They did a good job."
"Ak'mar." answered Tk'akr, trying not to wince as the medic pulled shrapnel out of her wounds.
The first medic finished with Ak'mar, and moved over to inspect Sk'mak's wing. He shook his head. "I can't do anything for this. You'll have to let it heal on its own." A moment later, a bluish discharge crackled over the burnt membrane. "What was that?"
Sk'mak grinned. "It's healing. It'll take a few weeks, but-" He extended his burnt wing, wincing a little as it touched the floor. "You can see that some of the slashes have closed up already."
Ak'mar nodded. "Okay. You're all finished? Good. I want to go to the Armory, and get back as soon as possible. I've got no idea what's going on, but I want to find out."
He led the dragons down another tunnel, descending deeper into the earth.

IC:
A very wet, very surprised Basington was pulled out of the water by the Goblin, sputtering and flailing his arms as he found himself unceremoniously dumped on the sand. Several crew members clambered down the side of the Atlas, joining their commander. All had questions, but all as one were silent as Basington raised his hand. The Captain, some dignity restored spoke.
"Who are you? Where the hell are we? What the hell was that thing I saw flyng around a minute ago." He stopped, looking down. "Well, okay, introductiosn first I guess..."
He held out a hand. "Captain Basington of the Freethinker Navy, commander of the FNS Atlas, at your service. Now, if you could try and tell me what is going on I would be very much obliged."
Ak'mar looked around nervously while Arak fiddled with the huge, thick door in front of them. The lights had been getting further and further apart as they descended, and now the only light now came from the small, actinic spark that Arak had conjured up.
Arak gripped part of the door's intricate puzzle-lock with his teeth and twisted it. "Got it!" The door groaned and hissed open. Stale air wafted out of the cavern beyond.
He gestured. "Come on. I don't want to spend too much time down here." The dragons followed, reluctantly.
Arak searched around on the inside of the door and located a pressure plate. He pressed it, and the lights came on.
The cavern was huge. Racks of weaponry nearly filled the space. Everything from rusty swords to missile launchers was scattered around. Piles of armor plating lurked in the corners, accompanied by at least one tank.
Arak grinned. "Welcome to the Armory. Let's see what we can find."
He walked over into a corner and started rooting through a pile of armor, muttering to himself. "Too complex, that... ah, good old steel plate. Sk'mak, help me get this out, OK?"
Together, he and Sk'mak shoved the pile of steel plate out into a open section of flooring.
Arak wove a mage-smithing spell around the pile. "Okay. Put some power into this."
Sk'mak complied, and part of the steel shuddered and redistributed itself into new shapes.
Arak looked at the armor, then at Sk'mak. "Perfect. This'll protect you and your injured wing, but you'll still be able to flame, bite, and claw. Ak'mar, Tk'akr, take the rest of the steel and make your own sets. Just adapt that spell to fit your dimensions. Then we can get you something to eat, and head back to Half-Moon."
The Goblin rubbed his hands on his shirt, then sketched a salute. "I'se Dagdug, Emmigartion official for der Kingdom 'a Half-Moon. I dunno whats goin' on do. First hour 'o da day start out fine, den deres dese crazeyyy monstor tings runnin 'round tryin' ta eat us, den deres giant lizardy tings, and now yous' 'ere wit dis ting. None of you have passports...do ya?" He sighed. "Yous goin ta have ta sign for your dem," Dagdug indicated the crew "I no have enough books for all dem." He reached into his grubby pockets and rummaged for a pen.
---
"Dammit! Fix der missiles! You want to be fed to spiders? Move it you horrible little men!" A Goblin wearing another Goblin screamed. King Krark discouraged this, but some people insisted on it.
All around the mountain camoflaged doors were being opened, closed and repaired as needed. A few SAM missiles, a few old Anti-Aircraft guns, and some artillary pieces were being manuvered into place, while in the swamp specialy modified tanks waded through the mire. A swarm of Goblin 'civilians' was out setting up traps. Pitfalls, suicide kegs and twelve million angry Goblins awaited whatever popped into existance next.
(OOC: Sorry if this is godmodding a bit, but Goblins are all pretty militaristic, they wont nescisaraly go to war against a forign nation, but if it involves something trying to take over their home/territory/rock pile they will get very angry and have a sudden urge to blow something up.)

"CAPTAIN, we've got somethin on the scopes, about 20k, closing rapidly!"
Bright red flashes began appearing on the horizon.
OOC: We'll side with the goblins for now. The Atlas carries ranged surface-surface missiles, short range SAMs, Close-in gunnery systems, a 5" main gun, and several manually controlled machine guns. Be careful how close you get to it.

Arak clamped the wing-cover into place. Made of overlapping sheets of metal, it would retract and allow Ak'mar to fly, while still protecting his wings when they were folded.
Ak'mar hoisted himself off the ground while Arak answered the message. :Where does it go?:
:Stuck a camera boom through it. Looks like Half-Moon territory. Beach near the swamp. There's a big ship looks like cruiser stuck there. Goblin, some people standing on beach. Exit point is in air, but should not be problem.:

Sk'mak got up and shifted his weight restlessly, trying to accustom himself to his armor, then followed them.
************
Over in Half-Moon territory, the black, gaping rift and the camera that had been protruding from it vanished.
A moment later, the camera and the boom it had been attached to appeared out of thin air with a quiet thump of displaced air, and clattered to the ground.
************
When Arak and the dragons arrived at the cave-train station, all was chaos.
Arak pushed his way to the platform's edge. "What's going on?"
The large Greenscale directly in front of the portal looked up. "Gods, a dragon. Boom's gone. Think the portal went one-way. Should be able to use it. Won't be able to come back."
The Greenscale talked in a clipped, economical fashion, as if he couldn't spare much air to talk; a common quirk of Greenscales, and a useful trait if you happen to spend a lot of time underwater.
Arak nodded. "We'll take the chance. Come on, let's go."
He engaged his levitation spell and drifted through the portal, a few inches off the ground. Sk'mak followed suit a moment later.
Ak'mar sent a mental command sliding through the spells in his armor. His wing-covers slid back, and Tk'akr did the same.
They glanced at each other, nodded, spread their wings, and jumped through the portal.
**************
Above the beached ship, the air rippled oddly.
A moment later, Arak and Sk'mak appeared, with a thunderous boom of displaced air.
Tk'akr and Ak'mar appeared a moment later, in unison, making a much louder noise.

"Where is 'here?'" the voice replied.

"Rally point? Where? I didn't get any coordinates."

“Captin Strum!”
“What?” asked the Captin who was floating above his command station in the zero-G environment.
“Were picking up a minor EMS spike from around Anzag’s ship. Its not ID-able could be an enemy”
“Not very likely though corporal we don’t even know if there is any other life in this system wherever it is.”
“Ah yes sir but there is the EMS trail has also diverged directions and is pulsing both ways.”
“Shit then: get Captain Anzag on the horn now.”
“Roger Captain Strum.”
This situation was worrisome to captain strum. And if he didn’t know any better his EO had just picked up first contact with a new alien force in the area….wherever that was.
“Yes Strum?” Asked Anzag.
“My electronics officer has picked up what seems to be an intelligent electro-magnetic sensor spike in your region. “
“Yeah my EO picked it up too we are unsure of what it is though as nothing is visible on our regular spectrum scans.”
“Ok well we are going to break geosync orbit over the pole and come in to reinforce your position on the equator.”
“Captain Strum we will be all to happy to have you down here. This EMS ghost is freaking my bridge out, because as far as we know there isn’t any other space-fareing life in this system. This on top of our incident with that portal about 5 AU’s back has not been good for our moral.”
“The situation is the same here on our ship Anzag so don’t worry. I think we should recall out marines and get everyone set back up in formation. If we have a space threat we don’t need out boys running around on the ground without us being able to support them.”
“Ok I will take the shuttles up next orbit and then transfer your marines back once you get to us. Then let’s dispatch the fighters and check out this EMS ghost.” Said Anzag floating over to his EO’s station.
“Roger sounds like a plan take care of the marines and ill get the flight plans set up at once. Strum out.”
“Ok will do Strum…I will take care of it. Anzag out.”

IC: Basington made the quickest reentry to the ship ever recorded. Clambering up the side netting and onto the deck, towing a protesting goblin behind him.
Entering the armoured citadel, he ran down the corridors and hatchways till he came to the bustling control room. He looked around, glad to see everyone already at their stations and tracking the strange "unknowns" in the air above them with the air/search radars. Outside cameras showed noone left beyond the protection of the ships hull.
He watched the little blips on the digital radar screen, wondering what they were going to do. He ordered the activation of the ClWSs, and on the deck above them massive gattling cannons suddenly started independantly tracking the creatures in the sky above. But they remained silent.
Arak clapped a amplifier spell over his speaker grille and bellowed down towards the ship. "Okay. We won't attack if you won't shoot. Deal?"
He dropped gently, watching the CIWs warily. The dragons followed, more slowly.
Arak touched down on the sand, gently. Sk'mak did the same a moment later. Ak'mar and Tk'akr landed with their customary shower of sand and thunder of wingbeats.

IC: Basington looked at his XO, who shrugged, then turned back to the cameras. He watched the dragons land, watched them slowly strecth and fold their wings. He thought, then turned on the exterior speakers.
"Very well, I will come out and discuss what is going on. I will, for the moment deactivate the weapons, but be rest assured I wont hesitate to open fire if I feel threatened."
He nodded to the weapon control officers, who flicked a few switches. On the outside of the ship, the SAM launcher and the two CIWS mounts swung back into their original position, pointing away from the new arrivals.
Basington sighed, beckoned a couple of marines to join him, and clambered back up to the main deck. As he walked out of the citadel, he looked over the side, and noted with some relief, that the tide was starting to come back in. He walked up the various ladders until he stood on one of the bridge wings, and called out to the dragons....

Al'Aruth sat with the kin. The su'oth was heavy here.
Fighting/battle. Much of it. We must end/stop it.
Raising one hand he produced the su'oth'eran and surged his power into it. He had always been the most powerful in the kin. He would end the fighting soon enough.
We must seal/close the portals.
Agreement. Three would be enough. They were still weak.
Ak'mar slid his armor's wing-covers over his folded wings, while Arak yelled back up to the captain. "Glad that's dealt with. Where're you from? I don't recognize your ship's markings."
"What are you two saying?" interrupted Tk'akr, as her armor clanked and slid into place.
Arak looked up at the dragons. "Huh? Don't you know the human language? I don't think they would've died out back where you came from..."
Sk'mak shook his head. "No, I can understand it perfectly well. I can even speak it, if I make the effort. But they're not speaking it. Sometimes I get a vague idea of what they're saying, but that's all."
Arak looked dismayed. "That's not good. If you can't communicate... Just a moment." He looked back up towards the captain and shouted again in English. "Just a moment."
He sorted through the spells stored in his toolpack. "If you had a interface socket, this would be so much easier... Let me try this. I'll have to shove this into your mind, Sk'mak."
Sk'mak shuddered, but agreed, sliding his mental barriers down and out of the way. "Give it a try. If it works, it'll be worth it."
Arak wrapped up his knowledge of English into a neat, magical package, and shoved it into Sk'mak's mind. He watched for a moment, to make sure it was fitting in correctly, then withdrew.
Sk'mak shuddered again as the strange knowledge wedged itself into his mind. "I think that worked... Gods, this is damn strange."
He slid his barriers back into place and locked them down firmly. "I don't want to do that again. That was rather unpleasant."
Sk'mak craned his neck over towards the bridge wings, and spoke haltingly in English. "Can you undersst-t-tand me?"

Becker and the other group of CF soldiers exited the cave system onto a beautiful beach. Off in the distance, they could see a beached naval vessel.
"Come on, we'll check out that ship later. Now we've got to meet up with the rest of our boys."
They continued onto the rally point. The rally point was set in a large crater, which they entered. Inside there were only 5,000 men. "Where is the rest of the army?"
"From what we can tell, they didn't get sucked up like we did. We still have all our tanks, but the aircraft and most of the men stayed at the base."
"Well, what are our orders, sir?"
"I've been in contact with command. Our current mission is to be scrubbed, we are to now explore this area and see what we can see. If we are trespassing on someone else's land, then we are to make contact and negotiate. Command at this time cannot exctact us, should things go bad."
"Sir, while I was alone in the cave system, I could've sworn I saw a goblin."
"A goblin? You've been reading too much dungeons and dragons, Becker."
"Here! I have this book thingy to prove it!" Becker removed the goblin passport from his backpack "Take a look at this!"
"What is this, some kind of joke?"
"No joke, sir. We should try and make contact with these people."
"I think you've been drinking the armor's coolant fluid again, haven't you?We will go and offer our assistance to the beached ship, and then, if we have time, then we MIGHT go looking for your 'goblins.' Do you get me?"
"Yes sir."
With that word, the army moved up and began marching on the beached ship. The sounds of armored feet and the creak of Tank Treads were heard for miles...
The Goblin from the sub popped up.
"Oh, I see joo 'r recovered a bit, I hear joo guys cause some bad damage back 'ome."
He jumped down, was briefly stuck in the sand, then got up. He walked up and stood a little to the left of the human crew.

I guess that makes me far future in this case. What about you? what are your starships like? how big and so on.
more stats on my frigates
130 feet long
crew of 30
12 marines
1 shuttle
Bridge is on the top and in the front, below the bridge there are 3 missile launchers sort of like torpedo tubes. This brigde and missile combo combines into a sort of mast like apendage at the front of the ship ( i do have a pic but i can't put it in the forum) from the back of this there is a spinal region to the the ship. Mounted on the top of this is laser cannon and large box missile launcher. IN this spinal region are the power armor bays shuttle hanger briefing room, sleeping quaters ship operational control showers/bathroom and storage. Also acess to the fighting deck is avalibal through the second level of this spinal region. Underslung this region are 12 long range anti-ship missiles. Finally at the end of the ship there is another mast like appendage. This countains the ship's reactor its sublight in system thruster and its above light drive. The engine room and all other vital ship functions are contained in this mast as well as a rear facing turret mounted auto cannon...hopes this helps

The Hermes Commanded by Captain Anzag is the one that released the shuttles planetside but these shuttles have now been retrived along with the ACS marines cadre. The Mercutio is currently coming down from polar geosync orbit to meet up with the Hermes which is now above the planet in equitorial geosync orbit. When the two ships meet up the meructio will launch its 3 fighters.
Stats for fighters
One turrent mounted auto cannon 20mm fragmentation or AP shells top mounted (anti-missile and anti-target)
2 box missile launchers with side ports for multi-axis launch (small sliding doors that allow the missle to be dropped from the missile launchers without a engine ignition the missile then aquires the target and fires its engine in pursuit) . Forward facing tri barrel laser cannon. crew of 1

The EMS signatures have also been traced by azimuth to these objects. I suggest we re-group and screened by out fighters and ACS (armored combat suits) blast over to that area andcheck things out." Said captain Strum from his bridge.
"Alright wingmate. I will see you in 2 minutes. Also i have been working on trying to establish communications with base, but can't get anything at all. Me and my crew are starting to think we will never get home."
"Yeah, I know what you mean my crew has been worried about the same thing for awhile now. But we will find out way home eventually. For now though captain Anzag you and I both know we need to concentrate on the moment at had and find out what the hell these strange contacts are"
"I agree the time for wondering will come. Anzag Out."
"Yes it will, old friend, yes it will. Strum over and out"
Anzag grimaced as he turned to look out the heavily armored and reinforced viewplane of the bridge. He really had no reason to feel confident that he or his crew would ever see home again.
"Captain Anzag Sir!" Said the crew cut Marine LT.
Anzag Turned shaken out of his thoughts of home.
"Yes LT?" He asked.
"I have the After Action Review from the planetside sir!"
"Alright you may give the AAR" Said Anzag crossing his arms over his chest as he floated in the bridge.
"Well sir we had about 5 minutes on the surface, during which time we moved towards our objective. As this was an alien world or seemed to be we moved cautiosly and with plenty of sensor work out to the front of our patrol. As we approched the source of the battle we saw several creatures which looked to be about the equivilant of ancient dragons. It was quite the site but we continued to advance. As we were approching the battlefield you recalled us we returned to the shuttle interdiction circil and then blasted back to ship. The whole trip was quite uneventuful except for the fact that we made contact with a wholly alien race."
"Ah well thank you LT. Your report sheds some light on what is going on down there but in reality it only creates more questions to be answered for now i want your boys out on the fighting deck ready to screen us and the fighters as we move to a new contact sighting area" Said anzag after being completly silent during the Marines report.
"Ok Sir will do, and lets get out of this alive" Said the LT as he turned and floated off down the hallway.
Anzag went back to looking out the window awaiting the return of Strum and the Mercutio.

"Comms: Send a Broad beam transmission out in the general direction of the contacts. Make it peaceful i don't want to spark an intergalactic war with only two ships." Said Anzag as he watched captain Strum's ships slowly slide into formation next to his ship and release its fighters. "Strum i am sending a broad beam transmission it says, um hold on" Anzag asked his commo tech what it said and clicked his mike back on, "We come in peace, then it has several mathmatical equations that are standered protocal in case of first contact, Hell if I understand them and whoever these boys are they won't eaither if they are like us."
"Yeah i know what you mean Captain Anzag. Well without further delay lets move out. I have been waiting for this moment for awhile now."
"I hear you Strum, the message is sent. Helm fall in 1/3 of a kilck behind the Mercutio and keep up 1 klick above it as me move."
"Roger Sir!" Responded the Helmsmen.
"Ok Anzag my fighters will be data pulsing you every 10 seconds, our ships will be seeing what you see."
"Gotcha if we make contact with anything of considerable size lets hold back reground and plan out how we will react. Also lets try and send some more messages out in galactic standered and old english. "
"Sounds like a plan to me Anzag. There is already something fuzzy on this first data pulse and my piolets are reporting that they are getting huge EMS. We should be able to see it in 20 seconds we will data pulse it to you when we get it."
Both ships blasted as half speed through the stary darkness of space towards the unkown contacts just around the other side of the planet. All weapons were online and the constant beep of the "active" rail gun turrets was reasuring to all aboard. The Marines who were on the fighting decks outside the ship clamped to the deck jumped off just as the ships were about to round the planet and flew using their jumpjets up to the fighters and began to screen them. Anzag kept his messages going every datapulse. The two ships were as ready as ever to meet the unknown....
OOC:2 seeing as whitdwarf's offworlds have no major weapons and with all due respect could not stand up to two heavily armed frigates I intend not to engage when our two forces meet. Perhaps even an alliance to conquer the world below us?
[OOC: Hrmm. I can just imagine the Mages' Guild fighting off a squadron of spacefighters... This will be fun. (Not that it isn't already.)]

OOC: Its a frigate, not a sub, okay?
IC: The XO looked at the goblin.
"You have radios?" The heavily accented reply was just about inteligable.
"Fair enough." They went inside, back down to the operations room. He tapped a dial on a computer screen, and passed a headset to the goblin. The ensuing difficulty the goblin had with the headset made the necessity of providing with him a new one. Finally it all worked, and the XO swicthed on the transmittor.
-Outside-
Basington was in conversation with four dragons. This struck him as somewhat odd. Today had been odd as default. Nevertheless...
"Well...my name is Basington, I am the captain of the FNS Atlas....this ship. I'm a citizen of the Commonwealth of Freethinkers. And, who do I have this honour of talking to?"
Then the CF arrived, and the situation went to pot.

OOC: Ok I will explain my race a bit more. They are called the kin, and posess a link to the "su'oth", which is their true power. This power controls their world and the link to the "outside" (your world), through the use of portals. Some kin are extremely powerful in the su'oth, so much to the point that they could cause considerable damage to, say, a battleship. On the downside they will die just as quickly as anyone else if they were to be shot. And their numbers are very low. Only about 100 kin. My race will probably be pretty mysterious until later in the thread.
I hope I haven't annoyed anyone here with coming so late and seeming to grab a major role in the story, with a higher degree of understanding and control over the portals.
Anyhoo, the kin have a prophecy fortelling their return to your world, but the rest is pretty sketchy and can't be taken for much. Someone let me know if you want me to post it.
So, where I got to in my last post was kinda saying that they have broken open the portals and are in the process or the returning.

OOC: No you’re right actually, all my Offworlds (except for my military offworld) are civilian and have no weapons. All of them carry fighters only.
"General A, we have a count on WD space craft," Andres told the general as he came onto the bridge,
"Yes, what is it,"
"Well, off world Militia, 2, 6, 7 and 8 where dragged in. The Armageddon and GDS (Global Defence Station, my laser) didn't go through the portal, or if they did their not near the motherland anymore," Andres said as he looked at the stat sheet,
"How many gates where pulled in," The general asked Andres,
"Well, ... so far there is a report of the gate near offworld 2 and the one that is carried on offworld militia,"
Andre put the stat sheet down on a nearby table and walked down some stairs to the Civilian Response Unit (CPU). The CPU was made up of a circular floor with three desks. Two on the side and one in the middle. There was a big screen in front that showed the Offworlds ring and all the sectors of it. On the right desk was a small screen with oxygen, water and electricity meters on it. The left desk had two screens, one showing the stats of the motor base and motor head. Finally the middle had two screens, one with food stocks and one with transport shuttle info.
"Minister Malcolm" Andres called into the circular pit,
"Yes Minister Toro" the man in the middle said as he span around on his chair so that he faced Andres,
"Malcolm, tell me, how many transports do we have,"
"We have none sir,"
"Ok, tell me, how many are in the area,"
"I checked earlier, there are none,"
"Yes, and finally, how long do we have until we have no food,"
"Well Sir, if each person on board eats a fair share we will have just the right amount of food for four days,"
"Thankyou Minister," Andres said as he turned around and walked back to General A, "General, before we went through the portal we were about to receive our food, water and oxygen transport. Now we have the transport sitting back where we used to be wondering where this offworld went. General, unless we get help, we will die of starvation,"
The General thought, they where in some foreign place, with no contacts and they where running low on supplies,
"Minister," the general yelled into the CPU,
"Yes General,"
"Can you contact Offworld 2,"
"Yes General"
"Tell me, what are their supplies,"
"They have ... General, Offworld 2 has two transports on board, one with oxygen, the other is empty. The offworld its self has just the right amount of food for a week, again, going with the rations,"
"General, we have to make contact, and there it is" Andres said as he pointed out the main window at the foreign ships with the WD pod in front of them,
"Well if we need contact we should make ..." General A was cut off by the comlink section of the bridge,
"Minister Toro, General A, the pod is sending back a message,"
"Yes, what is it" Andres asked,
"It says, uh, we come in peace then it has some mathmatical notes, they seem to be advanced, maybe you could make something of them,"
"Well, some of them, others aren't know to me, maybe we where ported through time."
"Ja, we got da radios, just not many, we only got e'nuff fer military use."
The Goblin takes the set, then makes some noises like a metal cat being strangled. There is a reply. More sounds.
He turned to the Dragons.
"Yous got temp'ry safe pass'g to da capital, dere you go to see da king, and he decide what ta do. Dis best I could do." He handed the headset back.

OOC: White Dwarf sounds like an alliance between our two forces could be extremly benficial...
IC: Both frigates rounded the planet screened by the fighters and ACS. Immidatly the large Contacts were visibal to the bridge crews. Many of them let out gasps. The otherships looked oddly familiar but at the same time looked nothing like the space stations that the frigat crews had left about a day before.
"Captain Anzag..." Started Strum.
"Yes I see them Strum." Responded Anzag.
"Holy shit!" breathed the helmsmen on the Mercutio.
"Fighters hold! ACS return to our fighting decks!" Called both captains almost simultaneously.
The 3 fighters cut their engines and began to sweep the large spacestations in front of them with their targeting computers. The pilots steeled themselves for any coming engagement. All this information was being pulsed back and forth between the fighters and the firgates. Within another 40 seconds the ACS were back to their ships maning the heavy weapons out on the depresserized fighting decks. Inside the Frigates the crew snapped on their helmets and the entire ship began to depressurize. Everyone assumed their battle stations and braced themselves for combat with an unknown foe. But the Captains kept their cool and ordered everyone to fire.
"Anzag: Keep your messges going were to close now not to have opened fire yet. If we don't shoot soon we are going to need a peace treaty"
"I realize that Strum the messages are going out and we have our directional recivers pointed directly at those space stations. But you know if we start to shoot who knows what kind of weapons they have."
"Damn we never really got training on what to expect from a totally new alien race." Laughed Strum in a very cynical way.
"Yeah well its up to us to decide protocal now we are both officers."
Anzag spun around to his commo tech again.
"Put this into the same form as the last message minus the math, I don't like using things i can't understand: Hello we come in peace. We are Sailors of the Terran Defense Fleet. We have no idea where we are at the moment and we have no idea who you are. We wish to see this situation resolved peacfully as to not spark a large war. Please respond...."
"Roger that sir" The Commo tech quickly began to type that into the message consul.
"Ok Strum lets just hold out for now see if we can't get a response from these new ships." Said Anzag looking out at the large ships again.
"I will go with that plan you point about them having unkown weapons is a good one." Replied Strum.
The Mercutio and the Hermes floated in space only a few clicks away from massive ships of unknown origin. Anyone had a right to be worried. And both captains were.
OOC2: Lets see about some face to face time between my captains and your ministers....
[OOC: Freethinkers, it's three dragons and a Wyrm. Read the link I posted earlier for more info about the Wyrms.]
Arak looked up. "I'm Arak Ironscale. This-" one of his mechanical arms unfolded, and pointed at Sk'mak. "is Sk'mak." He gestures to the next two dragons. "This is Ak'mar, and this is Tk'akr." His mechanical arm folded back alongside his pack.
Sk'mak nodded. "Pleassed to meet-t you. He's introducing us." he added, to the other dragons. "Just nod."
"Okay. Now, to start with-" Arak stopped suddenly, and cocked his head, as if listening. "What's that noise? I hear tanks. And people marching. Take cover!"
Arak dove for a nearby sand dune. The dragons followed, Sk'mak clearing the eight-foot dune with a single leap.
The dragons crouched down behind the dune, with only their armored heads showing, and watched the forest intently.

The diminished army marched through the forest, nearing the beached vessel. "Hey sir! What are those? <Becker pointed to the dragons, even though only their heads were visible.>"
"They look like rocks. There is nothing too special about that, right Corporal? You don't think they're goblins do you?" That remark brought a chorus of laughs from the soldiers.
"No, I suppose not, sir..."
<5 minutes of marching later>
"Well, lets go make contact with that ship. Perhaps they know where the hell we are, eh men?" The colonel said via an encrypted comlink to the rest of his troops. There was no harm in being too careful.
<Another 5 minutes of marching later>
The Colonel, Becker, and two armed guards stepped out onto the beach (?) area, near the landed ship. "Hello? Do you guys need a hand?"

OOC: Meanwhile back at the Fort
"Commander Chang ma'am!" Said the clean cut watch officer who had just entered her office. The Commander floated up against the wall he suits velco patchs holding her in place. The door closed behind the officer.
"Yes Spacemen Sanders?"
"That orb that both ships hit is still un-identified. The ball seems to be pure energy but despite the massive amounts of rads and protons that it is putting off it is relativly stable."
"If i may cut in spacemen, what do we know about the Mercutio and the Hermes?"
"As of now we have still now herd from them but we have nothing that would indicate thier destruction. It seems that they just disapered through that orb." Finished the spacemen with a thoughtful look in his eyes.
"Ok, well if that orb did destroy the two ships then it must have moved them right?"
"We are working on the possibilty now. Some of the energy readouts are very similer to the FTL drive that the ancients use. We are looking into the idea that it could be some sort of spacial disturbance like a worm hole."
"Well when you know more tell me, in the mean time get a rescue force set up i want a The midway, the America, the Trinity and The Homer all to get prepped."
"Yes ma'am" said the watch officer. He turned and jumped off the wall and left the room.
On the hanger deck of the base 2 probes were released into space and immideatly lit off their engines and speed towards the orb. 1 minute and 25 seconds later they hit the orb and disapered from the scops the watching technicians. Stumped the techs waited another 30 minutes from a signal any signal at all from the probes. There was none.
On the mercutio a stunned drone tech clamped his headphones to his ears as he hered the familiar telemetry of a TDF drone transponder. He listined more intently as the drone datapulsed the ship several times giving its posistion current status. The drone was 5 AU's away at the spot where the 2 frigates had tumbled into this strange system.

IC: Al'Aruth of the Kin walked across the beach towards the marching. He wrapped himself invisible in the su'oth and floated up into the air. Studying the men carefully, he realised he must have been a head taller than most of them. He had sufficient power to eliminate them, although he would have to be careful. He had been told of the "guns" they carried. When the first man stood ten paces from him, he stepped out of the illusion.
"Above!" Someone yelled almost instantly
Guns swung to face him. Al'Aruth built a wall of su'oth in front of him, just as small metal peices, like fat raindrops flew towards him. They stuck into the wall. Eventually someone ordered them to stop, and before he could be addressed, Al'Aruth personified his voice to echo around the beach.
"I am Al'Aruth of the Kin," he said "The return has come. My people have flocked through the portals and are all just as powerful as me."
This wasn't true, but he was sure no one here doubted him.
"I mean to bind this universe together. You will be under my command, and that of the Kin. You will take our oaths or be cast out. What say you?"
"Is nice ta met'cha. I show you way to da cap-" At this point somebody yelled 'take cover', the Goblin immidiatly dove into the dune, peering out from a bush, he suddenly wished glider patrols were issued better weapons.
He held his dagger and hoped nobody wanted to fight.

"Minister Toro, another message has come" one of the comlink personal told the Minister,
"What does it say," Andres asked,
"Well ...it says Hello we come in peace. We are Sailors of the Terran Defense Fleet. We have no idea where we are at the moment and we have no idea who you are. We wish to see this situation resolved peacefully as to not spark a large war. Please respond "
"Well, that’s good" Andres began to walk over to the comlink section of the bridge, "We both want peace. Maybe they can help us with our situation. Minister Joubert,"
"Yes Minister Toro," the man who had the message replied,
"Tell them ... I am Minister Toro of the Offworld Militia. I am currently travelling with the Offworld Militia and the Offworld 6. We mean you now harm, as you mean none to us. We hope that you could help us. My stations are low on food, oxygen and water. Maybe our two fleets could help each other. We will have our platforms open for your use if you accept. "
"Yes sir, I’ll send it right now"
"Great," Andres thought as he walked off, "I just hope it works"
As Andres made his way down the halls a man came up to him,
"Minister Toro, something’s happening back on the Militia, It’s the gate sir,"
"What, what is it,'
"Well, it’s been on ever since we got here, and now it’s picking up a transport request,"
"Transport request, there are more gates into this world. Run back to Militia, tell them to let out the gate. Let the men come through."

OOC: Irish, this website has my two Offworlds.
http://whitedwarf2.tripod.com/offworlds/
The first one, Offworld Civilian is the type of offworld that Offworld 6 is. The big ring spins creating gravity, inside the ring is one big city. The building at the end is the motor room, which spins the ring and moves the offworld. The box onto is the bridge. There are four platforms. There are two on each side.
The second one is the offworld Militia. It has similar set up. Instead of one constant ring it has two parts that swing around. They both act as a military centre. The bridge is still in the same place but is bigger than the civilian one. The Militia is also faster and only has two platforms. They are located underneath the bridge on both sides.

Al'Aruth was running out of time. Already, the su'oth was straining him, with such large numbers in the area. He raised the man who had spoken into the air.
"Where is your leader?" he demanded
The soldier only choked on the slight tension Al'Aruth had put on his neck. Impatiently, he screened his mind for the answer. The soldiers eyes rolled into his head and he started trembling. This was usual with such a weak mind. Creating a portal, he released half the men, holding tightly onto the rest.
"This will take you back to the lands your people occupy. Tell them of the Kin. Tell them not to underestimate us. We will return."
He waited for the first few to walk through reluctantly. At that point, Al'Aruth and the remaining soldiers he held onto seemingly vanished.
Jahran had given the message. What he had intended to do. Reluctantly, he threw fire into one of the ships. The message had to be taken seriously. Explosions erupted from within, and the mass of metal fell into so many parts. Sadness rolled over him. The Kin were changing. They no longer stood for the peace they once had, in the ages lost. Everything was changing.
With the returning brings change, and death;
For prophecy to be fulfilled, destruction is imminent;
Half of everything will be destroyed to save the other half;
Fear not;

Andres looked out one of the windows of offworld 6. He whatched as the gate was tacken to a safe distance then began to warm up. The gate was a ring that was broken into quaters so that it could shrink and grow depending on the size of the load coming through. On one of the quaters was a small cluster of buildings coming off the side. They where the control centres and living quaters for the men operating the ring. As the ring warmed up something eles called out to the corner of Andres eye. It was the militia, one of the windows was glowing red,
"Great Motherland" That was all that came out of his mouth as Andres saw the once proud militia burn up. The bridge flew off as the engine room shatter in flames. The two quaters of a ring that once rotated around now flew off. One went into space, the other towards the motherland.
"Oh no, i have to stop this" Andres said to himself as he made his way to the bridge as fast as he can,
"RELESE THE FIGHTERS" Andres called out as he entered the bridge, "TAKE OUT THE MILITIA RUMBLE BEFORE IT HITS THE MOTHERLAND,"

"Premier, Colonel McClure is here to see you."
"Very good, send him please."
<McClure walked into the posh premieral office.>
"Premier, I bring you tidings of grave importance. My mission reports cannot accurately describe the threat these 'kin' pose to our way of life. A single one was able to incapitate over 5000 battle hardened soldiers. And since our soldiers were stunned, for lack of a better term, we could not order the tanks to open fire. What's more, I felt a nagging presence within my mind when the creature held me. It felt as though it was searching for something inside my head."
The premier sat silently, asorbing this new information.
"I see. You felt a presence in your mind you say? Hmm... We must discover more about these 'Kin.' However, we cannot send you and your men out without psionic protection again. Therefore, I will send 50 of our best Psionic warfare specialists to accompany you. They should be able to shield your men from the worst effects of the creature. Were that our neural inhibitor was ready for trials. But it isn't. The Psi troops will have to do..."
"What are my orders, sir?" McClure asked.
"You will take your army back and investigate this new threat. Then, you will report back to me immediately. Am I clear?"
"Crystal clear, sir."
<Two hours later>
"I swear, Becker. These Psi-Ops give me the creeps. They are so cold. It's almost like they are reading your mind just by looking at you."
"Well Mendoza, you see that cute one over there? Go hit on her. Then, if she slaps you, we'll know they can read minds."
"Go to hell Becker."
OOC:
CF Psionic Specialists have a natural gift for controling paranormal (usually psychic or telekinetic) pheonoma. Each one's mind is well trained and incredibly well disciplined. They are identified from an early age and brought up honing their mental powers. However, to effect the world around them, they need a...symbol for their mind to focus on. For example, something electric to focus on paralyzation.
Each Psi-specialist carries a specialized amplifier that provides their minds with something to focus their power through. Thus, they can perform a number of useful effects.
*Note: none of these attacks are as effective against an entity with more mental power than the attacking psionic warfare specialist.*
1. Mind Control- This is obvious, but is very difficult to pull off.
2. Mind Trick- "These aren't the droids you're looking for..." This is an easier and less effective version of Mind Control
3. Panic- By affecting the chemicals in a target brain, they can induce a state of panic in weaker minds for a short period of time (no more than 5 minutes.)
4. Stun- This causes the target's higher neural functions to cease functioning, effectively putting the target to sleep for a short time.
5. Mind Flay- This heinous disipline is only used by "The Inquisitors" who are a small, elite subsect of the normal Psi specialist heirarchy. It disects the target's mind layer by layer, effectively lobotomizing the subject. This is extremely taxing and difficult to pull off. It also has next to no chance of working on a being of any signifigant mental power. It is primarily used as a form of torture.
6. Psionic probe- Essientially a mind probe, this allows the reader to hear the target's thoughts.

Al'Aruth hid the soldiers in a Den'shi. A place created by the Su'oth which was outside of the physical world. He then returned to the beach. Men were here. He reached towards one of their minds ... and found himself blocked. Curious, he pressed harder, till the wall around the humans mind started to waver. Another human fell to his knees. This human could touch the Su'oth, that must be the only explanation. Of course, he would have only a sketchy idea what he was doing and how, but this could present problems. They were far weaker than any of the Kin, but an old saying itched his mind.
How you use the Su'oth, usually far outweighs how much of it you can
If one of them was to attack him when he wasn't focusing, they could quite possibly take control of his power, before he knew what was happening. He would have to send another message. Smashing one to death and another to unconsiousness, he flew closer to the group, putting an illusion of invisiblity around him. Someone started shooting, and he fled, laughing ...

Jahran, Al'Aruth and four of the strongest Kin watched the transport from a distance. It seemed they had learnt how to pool the Su'oth. A dangerous thing, according to Jahran, pain felt from one would be experienced by the rest, though to a lesser extent. There were also several other dangers which he would not speak of. Still, with near fifty of them, they matched what Al'Aruth and Jahran had for power. Even four might not be enough. They would have to attack them indirectly.
Now
Opening a portal directly infront of the first mobile, it never had time time move out of the way. Several behind it stopped. It came rearing out of the portal Jahran had made fifty meters back, smashing into another. While they were still in shock the other two Kin struck, throwing a mixture of fire and wind over the entire group. Metal groaned against the heat, and earth flew up besides the machines. Al'Aruth released his portal and called down hordes of lightning. The air crackled with overuse of the Su'oth. Suddenly, one of the Kin fell to the ground. Al'Aruth needn't check to know he was dead. Without thinking, he pooled himself with the other Kin, and felt Jahran joining moments after. Something was pushing at them. He pushed back. It was like a wall that wouldn't budge; he had never felt anything so strong.
Release. We will not win
Throwing open a portal, Al'Aruth and the others rushed through, slamming it shut before anything could join them.
Hours later, a portal opened in the group of soldiers. Before anyone could react, one of the humans who could touch the Su'oth was grabbed by something large and black, which flew threw the air and dissapeared into the night.
Jahran watched from a distance. Not one of the Kin. That he was sure of, but who? One of the Forgotten? The thought troubled. He expected to find a lot more questions than he would answers in the days ahead.

The Goblin in the bushes had decided who was the bad guys now.
He leaped up with a cry, hurled his knife at one of the aliens, then began to throw rocks, the greatest weapons ever invented.
Interesting Goblin Factoid:
Goblins seem very resistant to mental attacks. Some scientists think this is because they have huge, untapped mental strength reserves, other, more reputable, scientists think its because you can't punch fog.

General A looked out the bridge window in disbelief. The once flaming hunk on metal had just stoped in its tracks.
"General, what should we do now" Andres asked,
"I, I don’t know. This is all to weird. First there are voices and know objects are stopping. First, Minister Joubert, send another message to those ships, tell them not to worry about the offworld, its stopped now. Second, Andres, I’ll be in my quarters, you’re in charge now"
The General said as he made his way out of the bridge.
"Ye … Yes General"

The Gate began to shine as electrical currents came from all four quadrants and headed for the centre of the gate. As the electricity joined it started to glow brighter and began to swirl around. After warming up the current more waves of energy was fired into he middle until something emerged. It was an offworld.

"Stow it, soldier. Hmm...Now let me think. Alright, I want guards stationed throughout the camp. The Psi-Ops need to be prepared for when those things come back. While the Psi troops are occupying the enemy's attention, I want the tanks to open up with their miniguns. The men should also fire missiles and lasers. Just then one of the large spaceships exploded into a ball of flame.

"Holy shit" Strum repeated. "better get on the horn and tells those guys it wasn't us, send our condolances to that looks like bad news."

The Midway (A 6 fighter carrier) The America (a 54 power armor equipped marine carrier) The Trinity and The Homer (both frigates like the Mercutio and the Hermes) Came tumbling out of the portal in rather good order. Imediatly they made contact with the drones which pointed them to the Mercutio and the Hermes. Within 20 minutes the ship's astrotechs had set up their jumps and had redirected the probes to try and return through the portal
[OOC: Gah, back from a day away and there's all sorts of stuff going on.]
Arak had been watching the Kin, and he didn't like what he was seeing.
Interesting... That wasn't Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Chaos, or any of the subsidiary elements. Strange stuff. But they won't know what I'm attacking them with, if that's all they use...
Arak cut the illusion spell that had been making him and the dragons look like part of the dune, and slammed shield spells into place around them. "Come on, let's get them."
Arak raced over the dune, with the dragons in close pursuit. He cleared it just in time to see the last member of the Kin vanish into thin air.
"Ah, shkak."
Arak released the half-formed spell he had been casting, but left his shielding in place. Sk'mak dumped a huge amount of unpatterned Fire into the ether, spraying rainbow-colored sparks randomly through the area.
"Be more careful, Sk'mak." muttered Arak, as sparks danced and eddied through the air. "What if that had manifested as flame, not sparks?"
The Goblin finished putting out his shirt.
"Yeah, joo be careful wit dat, okie?"
"You're still alive?"
Arak peered at the goblin. "Well, of course you would be. Resilient little thing, you are. Come on, Sk'mak. Let's see if we can trace those... things."
Arak headed off towards the spot where Al'Aruth and the rest had vanished, followed by the dragons.
Arak probed the remains of the closed portal with a thread of magic. "Aha! It's not completely sealed. If I twist it like this..."
The portal twisted invisibly, wobbled, and popped back into existence. "That did it."
Arak wedged the magical equivalent of bracings into the portal, then yelled towards the nearest group of Facehuggerian troops. "This should lead to wherever those things went. I'll be leaving it open."
Arak cranked up his shielding spell to full power, readied a attack spell, and deactivated his Minigun's safety locks. "Here we go..."
Sk'mak was the first to dive through the portal, locking his levitation spell into place as he leaped. Arak followed seconds later. Ak'mar and Tk'akr weren't far behind.

"Commander Chang our techs have reported somewhat excitedly that they have reviced transmissions from the probes! The probes are saying the all ships are safely acounted for on the other side of the orb portal thing."
"Thats good!"
"Yes it is also Anzag is requesting an orbital bombardment ship, it seems that there is now a war going on, on the other side."
"Thats not so good" Commander Chang said with a frown
"Exactly why we should send the OBS in."
"Yes ok proced with that plan i need to talk to the repulic oberkommand about this. If we start and pan-dimensional war i don't want to have my fleet detachment fight off a whole enemy fleet."
"Roger ma'am ill get the TDF Hyperion crewed and ready to go through the orb."
"Permission granted move out!"
OOC: orbital bombardment ships are used to literally bomb a planet. Not completly take it out but just drop munitions from orbit onto specific targets. The Hyperion can hold 400 kinetic energy weapons (KEW). These can all be fired at once and left to float in geosynch orbit until a target is selected. Once a target is selected manuvering jets aim the teardrop shaped projectile and fire it into the atmosphere. From there the soild piece of metal falls like a rock until it hits its target. There is no explosion rather the severe kinetic effects of the round hitting the target will destroy anything. This round can go through 10 feet of rienforces concrete. Its basically space arty. Jahran watched the offworlds from a safe distance away. Himself and three other Kin had positioned themselves in a ring around the massive defence. Not pooled. He had seen these ships weapons - the shock of the blast hitting one would surely kill the others on impact. Being the most powerful, he stood thirty paces in, while the others made a shield of su'oth behind him. If they decided to retaliate they couldn't possibly target his exact location in the matter of time it would take him to return behind the wall. He swept the su'oth forward. Great flames, carried by the powerful winds rushed to meet the offworld at the same moment blue thunder crackled down from above. The resulting explosion left him horrified. Not his thunder. There were men out there, on that bridge. He had not noticed that before. Feeling for traces of su'oth, he wound his way high above, locating the source. Darkness envoloped this being's connection to the su'oth. But with a strength to match Al'Aruth's. He created a torrent of flame nestled with a spike of convulsion strong enough to render someone an involute. No - he would not risk it.
Draw back. One of the forgotten/forsaken walks this place.
He looked back towards the ships. They would believe this the Kin's doing...

Once again the Offworld was in peril.
" Power supply down 15% "
" We have lost cables 25 and 13 "
" Ring slowing down, gravity decreasing "
" It seems this is more than a terrorist attack. General A was right to get scared, these are no creatures I have heard of," Andres thought as he overlooked the problem at hand, "So, Kin, What will you move next on this chess board."
Arak hit the ground with a thump. He ignored the four humans; time enough to deal with them later.
As Sk'mak appeared through the portal behind him, Arak lashed out with his attack spell, feeding it Fire and Space. It whirred through the air, trailing green sparks and making a noise like a buzzsaw. The spell left a neat hole in anything it hit, and was aimed directly at Al'Aruth.
Freeze frame.
Arak is on the ground, maintaining a defensive spell around himself and the dragons. Sk'mak is levitating in the air, sighting down his snout and preparing to blast the area with flame. Ak'mar and Tk'akr have just arrived through the portal, and are currently in the process of readying Fire spells. Arak's spell is about twenty feet from Al'Aruth, and moving very fast.

"Jeasus thats another hit!" Exclaimed Strum as he watched a fire ball envelop the dock he was about to send his transport too. "Lt Winters; up here immediatly" he continued a few seconds later.
"You called sir?" asked the Lt by now floating akwardly in the bridge's doorway, his power armor covered shoulders would not fit through the doo.
"Yes i did, Winters take a look at that dock. there is still a little bit burning out there. For the second time one of the "offworlds" has been hit by some kind of fire munition."
"Yeah i was checking that out on the datapulses sir."
"Good then, I just called you up to the bridge to tell you to be careful we have no idea what is shooting, but i can't say that in front of your marines that are about to go out there, can I?"
"No sir you can't, with that ill take my leave and head on out."
"Good luck and God's speed to you Winters."
"Aye-Aye"
The Hulking power armor turned and disappered down a hatch. Two minutes later the shuttle from the Mercutio and the Shuttle from the Hermes were flying towards the still smoking dock escorted by the three fighters. The Fighters peeled off and began to orbit the offworld while the shuttles docked popped their doors open and out trooped the marines, their armored boots clanking on the floor.
"Hey is anyone here?" Called one marine
"Were the TDF marines, we herd you fellows needed some help!" Called another.
"Shutup" Said Winters "and stop talking through the loudspeakers on your suit."
"Yes sir!" replied the two marines that had boomed out their voices via high end speakers on the suit.
"This is Leautenant Winters of the TDF marines, we are here to assist you and we come in peace." Winter's own loudspeakers boomed that message. If the helmets of the power armor had visors then the dirty look the two privates shot each other after hearing the LT use his loudspeakers would have been damn obvious.
"Hello?" asked winters again while repeating his message on wide-ban transmission...

OOC: Khrrck, I got confused before about the portals your guys are coming through so I took that bit out and I'm placing it here - after you're fellows run through trying to attack me. TM me if you're confused.
Al'Aruth felt the portal opening and had himself readied with su'oth. Two people ran through, then another two. Before he could think, he had thrown a mix of spikes at them, strong enough to leave them all dead. At the same time they hurled their own assault of fire and earthfire at him. He sliced through them right before they hit him - not without great difficulty; they were strong. To his shock, his weaves unravelled themselves before hitting them. Certainly not using su'oth. It was too dangerous to let his guard down here - he created an "orb of solitude", shielding off anyone from using the great powers.
"Do you know what you are doing?" he demanded, carefully shielding himself from any attack "You touch su'oth'an sister energy to su'oth. One of the four great powers."
Their blank faces showed him they had no idea what he was talking about. Every race had a different name for it. From what Jahran had told him, the other humans he had attacked believed it to be some sort of paranormal "psychic" ability. Such disregard for su'oth angered him. Still, according to the propechies it would require "one of all four - to raise the dividers".
"You must join me," he spoke rapidly, afraid they would leave "together we will fulfill the prophecies of Jen'dai. We are destined to fight the last fight together, friend..."

Andres watched out of the window as two five small crafts came out of the foreign ship and headed for the Offworlds,
" Minister Toro, they are here, " came a voice over the intercom,
"Excellent. Gentlemen" Andres said to all the ground men from around the offworld, their was 5 men from the oxygen tanks, 6 from the food, 3 from the water and 3 from the power tank, "I want all seventeen of you to head to dock 3 and meet up with the shuttle,"
"Yes Minister" the men said slightly in unison.

Stationed in the ground in the middle of dock three was this little glass hub and inside sat one man leaning back on his chair,
"This is Leautenant Winters of the TDF marines, we are here to assist you and we come in peace." came a voice from outside the hub,
"What was that?" asked the men as he stood from his slanted position and looked out the window,
"Hello" came the voice again,
"Ah, its them" the man said to himself as he hit the intercom "Minister Toro, they are here,"
After finishing the message the man opened up a door that was stationed near the bottom of the hub and went through. After a little walk the man popped out of another door stationed next tot the entrance to the rest of the Offworld,
"Welcome to Offworld 6, I'm Gary" the man, shouted as he walked to the people who had just arrived, "The ground men will be here shortly so please have a seat, ah..." Gary looked around "Have a seat, wherever you can,"

"What the hell are you talking about? Su'oth'an? What's that?"
It stung Al'Aruth that they could be so rude to someone who offered what he was offering them. He felt an attack of air resting over his shield.
"Okay. You can explain yourself. We'll listen. But if you make one suspicious move..."
He had had enough. Preparing delicate flows, he took off his shield and actually pulled at the attack this fool was imposing on him. The result was Al'Aruth's control over his power. He struck, while the being was still in disbelief, using both their powers to send a mixture of fire and ice hurling at the other three. He was the only Kin who could do this. The fire and ice balanced eachother out, so no permanent damage was caused, but he had heard this brought extreme discomfort. Definately not pleasent. He stopped, suddenly aware of what he was doing.
"I apologise. You must understand our prophecies before you can make a decision. We are the ancient race of the Kin. You probably haven't heard of us, but we posess vast amounts of knowledge on all of the old races. Our Jen'dai prophecies speak of us returning to re-take this world. It is told we will meet an ancient alliance and ancient enemy before the final battle."
Together, using both their powers, they could do great things. The world would be the Kin's once more...
OOC: I understood you would want your own magical system, thats why I didn't make it su'oth. Like I said, every race has a different name for the four powers, different uses and such. And they are controlled in different ways. So, basically su'oth'an is yours. Use it how you like, call it what you like, describe it as you like. Just don't jump down my throat for taking this story somewhere.
Arak hissed, quietly. "That isn't really informative. Why should we want to join you, anyway? I'm not too enthusiastic, especially after what you just did."
Tk'akr shook her head, dazedly. "Illegitimate offspring of a swamp-gnome! That HURT!"
"Tk'akr, don't-"
Tk'akr lashed out with Fire and Air, wrapping Al'Aruth in a column of superheated gas.

With no time to block the attack, Al'Aruth swept ice around him in a giant orb. Heat and cold whipped at him in small parts, where they momentarily broke through the balance. He reached out for Tk'akr, feebly trying to grab her power, but found a wall blocking him. If his estimates were correct, he was about twice as powerful as either one of them. He shook himself of that line of thought. If he tried to kill one of them, the others would attack straight at him, and even he couldn't defend himself from three of them. He was in a den'shi. Only the creator of one could open up portals. That meant that these four who had unkowingly ran into the portal were stuck in here until he let them out. He seized on this moment, slamming shut the portal he had created, and opening a new one. Oh they tried to fight. Al'Aruth had to duck three attacks before he was able to escape, but he did. Closing the portal and sealing it, he laughed softly to himself. Anyone would break in a den'shi. It only took time. Already, he had five thousand men who were loyally his. Soon he would have three su'oth'an weilders. Sadness streaked through his amusement. The Kin were changing. He could see it...
Jahran had ten of the Kin with him, shielded, outside the offworlds. Enough power to level a nation. He could take them now, but the loss of Kin would be too heavy. He would wait unti they were vulnerable...

Arak probed the area, and turned up nothing. "There's no trace of a portal. I think you're right, Ak'mar."
Tk'akr snorted smoke into the air. "I'm not letting that fool get away with this. Can't we open another portal?"
Arak shook his head. "I'd have to know exactly where we are. I don't. I can figure it out, but it'll take at least an hour to get the right spells set up."
Sk'mak tilted his head. "Can we get a message out?"
"You know, that might work. I wouldn't need such a precise fix. Just a few minutes of measurements would do it."
"Okay, let's start. What do we need first?"
A few minutes passed...
Sk'mak peered at the measurement spell's output as it scrolled over his left eye.
"Enko, six, Kah, Makah. Plus fifteen, Kah, Enko, four."
Arak tweaked the communication spell; a glimmering network of ice-blue lines, hanging unsupported in the air.
"Got it. Okay, one more and we're done. Aiko three."
"Aiko, Kah, Kah, fourteen. Minus six, Makah, Kah, nine."
Arak adjusted the final component and locked the spell into place. "Okay, let's see if this works."

Al'Aruth waited for the message to end. Any magic used in the den'shi could be observed from outside. The co-ordinates made no sense to him, but he traced the flows to a city far away.
The attack was arranged quickly. He took twenty of the strongest Kin with him. Although nowhere near as strong as they, there could quite possibly be thousands of these beings.
We hunt weilders of su'oth'an/secondpower. They are weak/slow but there may be many of them. Be prepared/ready
He opened the portal and rushed through, hurling fire in every direction. He then went his own way - leaving the others to fend for themselves. It had all been arranged earlier. They would do what damage they could, and meet back at thirty minute intervals. Any prisoners they took were to be placed in a den'shi immediately. The battle started
Al'Aruth came upon the city - creating an orb around him, no one of this weakness could get through. He hurled white-hot fires at them, putting in all his force. He could feel attempts to block the flows, but the amount of power he was using would stop anyone short of Jahran's ability even coming close to undoing them.
Thunder rent the sky's. Striking again and again over the city. Not just his thunder. The others were using all sorts of attacks, ranging from hail storms to earthquakes. He could hear people screaming. Still he attacked, relentlessy, now using mental attacks. Waves of the convulsion flow roiled the city. Anyone caught unaware would have immediately fallen to seizures.
The city was in chaos by the time they met back. One of the Kin had fallen, while shifting his orb to use thunder. No one would make that mistake again. Still, he could feel their confidence had dropped.
Remember you are stronger/harder than them. You cannot be harmed/killed with your orb. If your attacks are being stopped/cut, pull out.

"Minister Toro, you said you wanted me," The offworld 6 commander asked,
"Yes I did commander, I’ll be going down to the motherland, While I’m gone your back in charge. Also, after I go take General A to the safe room and keep him there, if anything happens launch the safe room towards the foreign ships, they will take care of him,"
"Yes Minister."
OOC: short post, to tired
[OOC: Look, kid. You've gone too far this time. You can attack, sure. But you CAN NOT describe the effect of your attack on my city. I'll just ignore everything after
The battle started
Plus, Khrrck cities are subterranian, as you would have KNOWN if you had read the link I posted earlier.]
"Incoming! I count twenty-one signatures."
In a command bunker, deep underneath Khrrck City's lowest levels, chaos reigned.
"Patrols are in. Sealing all exits. Quake Shield active in twenty seconds."
"Exits sealed. SAM-KASS online."
Two-foot-thick steel blast doors slammed shut over all of Khrrck City's tunnel exits. Ventilation shafts barricaded themselves closed. SAM-KASS installations came alive and started to track the Kin.
"Quake Shield active. Scrambling Wind Dancer and Songbirds."
Tendrils of Earth rushed through the maze-like warren of tunnels, reinforcing and bracing against shocks.
"SAM-KASS locked. Firing full salvo in thirty seconds."
The local branch of the Mages' Guild rushed to put shielding on the SAM-KASS installations and missiles.
"Firing SAM-KASS."
The six SAM-KASS launchers roared as they each spat four KASS missiles toward the Kin.
"Wind Dancer will launch in five minutes. Songbirds will launch in ten minutes."
In the underground launch hangar, Wyrm techs fueled a large, menacing jet fighter, slid KASS missiles into its racks, and attached it to the steam catapult. Shielding shimmered over its hull.
"Launching Wind Dancer."
The hangar's doors dropped open for a few seconds, then closed. The opening lasted just long enough for the catapult to fling Wind Dancer into the air.
[OOC: KASS missiles dump the contents of a cube (12 feet by 12 feet by 12 feet) into a pocket universe. These particular missiles have been shielded against attack by the local mages. The pocket universe isn't as hard to escape as one of your den'shi, but it'll take a while to escape from one.]

OOC: Screw it. Just stay the hell away from me from now on, Ok? If you want this to be some shallow RP, go ahead and write about your rubbish "20 meter thick steel bars", just don't ever come near the Kin. You didn't want to make it fun, ally, linked powers, battle - just seal yourself off and play it your way - ignoring my writing (which you could learn a few things from). By the way, I still have your women in my den'shi.
Al'Aruth pulled his men back.
Leave these cowardous secondwielders
Another battle for another day. They would now focus all their attentions on the offworlds.
Returning to the den'shi, he was surprised to find his captives serenly discussing something. He had set the temperature to rise, slowly, putting a block on their powers. They would break through it in time, but for now there was nothing they could do. They should have been sweating, yet not a drip showed on their faces. He played a trick, which made them seem as if they were hanging upside down. Gravity belonged to the creator of the den'shi. The time would come. Anyone would break, eventually...

Entire post OOC
Ok, lets go through this together shall we.
Ok, so where again did I describe the effects of my attacks?
Thunder rent the sky's. Striking again and again over the city.
Striking the cities, I said. Nothing there about the effect.
Not just his thunder. The others were using all sorts of attacks, ranging from hail storms to earthquakes. He could hear people screaming. Still he attacked, relentlessy, now using mental attacks.
Same as before, I didn't describe any effects besides what I am throwing at you.
Waves of the convulsion flow roiled the city. Anyone caught unaware would have immediately fallen to seizures.
"Would Have", not did.
The city was in chaos by the time they met back. One of the Kin had fallen, while shifting his orb to use thunder. No one would make that mistake again. Still, he could feel their confidence had dropped.
Aah! My fatal flaw. I said your city was in chaos. Harsh, yes, but no godmodding I'm fairly sure - as any city would be just a trifle scared with fires and thunder in the air...
Still lets take a look at it again.
The city was in chaos by the time they met back. One of the Kin had fallen, while shifting his orb to use thunder. No one would make that mistake again. Still, he could feel their confidence had dropped.
There we go. I killed one of my 100 Kin. Quite a loss, I might say...
Remember you are stronger/harder than them. You cannot be harmed/killed with your orb. If your attacks are being stopped/cut, pull out.
With that they he set out again, with his Kin, to wreak havoc on this city...
To, meaning he intended to wreak havoc. Whether you accepted it, or whined about it (as you did), it still isn't godmodding.
So there you go. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon enough, just read the post very carefully before deciding what to say...
I'd say you've ruined this thread enough. I will not discuss this further - take this as a second chance

"Good, I see you have already begun talking" Andres said as he went into the room, "Well lets get down to that planet as soon as we can"

OOC: Khrrk, Mutant Dogs, both of you calm down!
Mutant Dogs hasn't really been doing anything unreasonable for his characters. On the other hand, they do seem a bit over-powerful.
Both of you have been over reacting, IC and OOC. Calm!
That said, on to my introduction. Nobody's done a convenient open summons, so I'll do it myself... The first two groups mentioned here are purely for the purpose of the introduction.
IC:
A distant world... a small village on the coast... an opening portal...
The craft that emerged was like nothing that quiet planet had ever encountered. Its arrival, purely by chance, occured at the start of a festival. The villagers had gathered around a great fire in the town square, singing and dancing in celebration of spring's return. The village wizard had set globes of colored light in a great circle, and those who felt energetic danced around it. X'tar-V'roj, the town's wizard and leader, smiled as he watched the joyous villagers, occaisonally glancing at the height of the full moon.
Then the intruders came. They were strange creatures, like nothing the townsfolk had ever seen before, and they carried (and fired) strange weapons that shot arrows of fire. The villagers tried to fight back, but steel merely bounced off the attackers' strange armor. Even crossbow bolts proved ineffective.
X'tar-V'roj fled in horror to his tower, where he sketched a quick circle and hurriedly marked several symbols around it. He began chanting in an ancient language, explaining his situation and calling for help.
His plea was intercepted.
The mayor sighed in relief as a portal opened in his circle, and a man stepped into his tower. The newcomer was dressed in a green robe, so dark it was almost black, and marked with bright green runes; he carried a fierce-looking staff, as much a warrior's weapon as a mage's tool. He nodded to his summoner, then strode calmly into the village. As the attacking force entered his sight, he opened another portal. Immediately, Accursed Soldiers began pouring into the town. They fell to the attackers almost as quickly as the militia had, but they were numerous and organized, and their weapons went right through the enemy's powerful armor. Soon the attackers were in retreat. Their ship came to aid in the battle, blasting missiles into theadvancing Legion, but several destructive spells immediately shot toward it and it crashed in several dozen pieces.
After the battle, X'tar-V'roj met with his saviors.
"Thank you! In all ways and forever, thank you. Truly you have saved our town; without your help, few of us would have survived! I don't know how we can ever repay you..."
"Worry not about paying us." replied Gertol Vegraniem, the sorceror who had come through X'tar's portal.
"You already have."
A bow twanged behind the mayor's back, and the old man fell with a green, glowing arrow through his heart. Battle erupted in the village again, and this time there would be no rescue.
The only townsfolk who survived were those who marched, out of the village and though another portal, in the ranks of the Accursed Legion. These people more than made up for the losses taken in securing and destroying the little town, though most of the Legion would have considered entertainment reason enough to strike. Those who retained minds, anyway...
Thus it was that the Accursed Legion came to the scene of the struggle.

We will be hitting planetside to set up a foward operating base. That way we can have a permanent and consistant flow of supplies from the planet for example air water and food. We will provide security as well as base construction. The landing site has been pre-assinged and is nowhere near any of the fighting we have detected below. The data has been transmitted to all of your shuttles. If everyone in your crew is ready lets head on out." Said the Marine LT.
"Captain Anzag we are ready to go planetside please prepare to cover us."
"Roger we got it, also the Hyperion will be covering the area around your landing you have nothing to worry about down there. Good luck and Godspeed gentelmen. Anzag out."
"We could very well need it" Whispered the LT to himself recounting the near brush with combat on his first drop to this planet. With that uncomfortable thought he climbed up the ramp into the shuttle and began to strap himself in as the piolets warmed up the engines.....
OOC: We are going to set up a base as you know and then start shuttling supplies up to the offworlds and my ships. From there we can move out and begin to explore the world. and possibly conquer it!

I think that it's perfectly reasonable for me to have underground cities, considering the Wyrms' background:
Wyrms were originally cave-dwelling, and still prefer living underground. They've got thousand of years of mining and digging expertise.
The Wyrms tend to get attacked by xenophobic nations, so it makes sense that their cities would be heavily defended, especially the capital.
The Wyrms do a fair amount of fighting amongst themselves. Another reason for heavily-defended cities.
Oh, and if you were wondering about the aircraft; It's basically a cavern big enough to fit a short runway. Airplanes are launched and landed like a carrier, using catapults and arresting gear.

What exactly am I supposed to learn from your writing?

Wrong. You have three dragons and a Wyrm in your den'shi. One of the dragons is female, true.

You call that not describing effects? I'm the one who gets to decide wether you hear screams, thankyouverymuch.
"What the hell?"
Wind Dancer probed the area. Nothing there, except for a few KASS missiles, shooting off without targets.
"They just vanished."
Doors unsealed themselves. Ventilation shafts resumed their job of pumping fresh air through the city.

IC: "Alright, a shuttle will come and pick me up. You go down to the planet first and set up a perimeter" Andres told the foreign people "I'm sorry but there are no shuttles on this ship so me and my men will have to wait. Also, we have no real military style weapons on this ship, all we can bring are handguns"
After this Andres went over to the intercom and called up the bridge,
" Bridge here " came the commander's voice over the intercom,
" Commander, send a message to all the Offworlds with shuttles and tell them to go to the area that has been sent to them,"
" Yes Minister Toro "
" Also, contact the closet Offworld and tell them to send a shuttle for me "
" Ok Minister... Lets see I have 2 transports from Offworld 2, 4 transports from Offworld 7 and Offworld 8 is ending theirs to pick you up ."
"Commander what type of transport is coming for us”?
" Ah, its a food transport, so all your men can go in the containers "
" Good job Commander, I'll contact you when I get down there "
" Ok Minister
---
It had been at least one hour and the foreign people had already left for the planet. Andres had waited for hours and now he finally saw the Shuttle coming. He ran out of the dock so that the doors could open and the shuttle could come in,
"Minister Toro, I've come to get your men,” The driver told Andres,
"Yes, I have been waiting for hours,"
"Yes I'm sorry Minister," the driver said as he hopped out of the cockpit and walked to the containers on the back, "Now these will hold up to 5 men so there’s plenty of room. They will also take the heat, your men will be perfectly fine,"
"How many can go up front," Andres asked,
"Well, there’s room for you and two other men,"
"Great, you two," Andres said pointing to two of the groundmen, "You’re going up front, take as much as you can, everyone else, start packing."

OOC: They would die like anyone else if you were able to shoot them in the back. That being said, there are only one hundred of them so I have to be careful when to let them die. The only way we would lose serious numbers would be in a large battle, where they tend to fumble with the su'oth, sometimes letting down their shield. So far, most of what I have done is seen through Al'Aruth's point of view - who is my main character and the strongest of the Kin, so I have no plans on letting him die any time soon. I have already had two die, but I'd rather not lose too many in skirmishes and the like so - lets get to the battles!
Jahran watched the ships depart. He had been waiting near two days now.
This must be done quickly. Kill no one unless they pose a risk/threat. You will find the one called "General A." - he is the thinker/leader.
Carefully adjusting his handle of the su'oth, he kept his shield in an open flow. It was like holding a shield with your left hand and fighting with your right, as apposed to strapping your shield on and using both hands. If he kept his hold on the shield he was less likely to let it down. He had chosen only Kin with power enough to do this.
The offworlds grew larger as he came closer, and he studied the complexity of it. It was like a large hovering city, complete with bridges and forts, though how such a thing could be accomplished without the aid of the su'oth was beyond him.
Coming level with the thing, he let his feet touch the ground, raising them again quickly after. He must not be heard. Sneaking in a door, he wound his way through the place, becoming lost quickly.
As a last resort he found a man, dressed in uniform, walking along a hall. Screening was one of his least favourite parts of su'oth - he believed it was on a level with torture.
Frustation clouded him. Touched with anger. And a deep dread, about the Kin
Skipping past emotions, he carefully stirred the man's memory into place. Too much stimulus could leave a man dead, or an involute.
He had been demoted recently. He had been ordered to take General A. to a safety zone. Had refused.
He pressed gently for why, but found it defended closely. This was a memory the man wanted to forget.
The safety zone was a defensive fort on the left side of the offworlds. He was on right site. Had been relocated.
Al'Aruth pulled out before the man could be damaged. These memories were dreaded ones, and for some reason linked closely to the Kin. He went back to the top, to inform his Kin.
I have found the thinker/leader -
An explosion nearby knocked him to the ground. White settled over his vision, slowly fading as his hearing came back. He felt for the Kin.
Explain yourselves.
The reply came back in parts, as if the Kin had been distracted while saying it.
One of the forgotten came. Started killing. Killed Kin. Killed Kin! We were found. Attacked by men policing this place. Help.
Al'Aruth was in a fury. Didn't they have the sense to cloak themselves and hide? Even the forgotten could not handle twenty of them, pooled. And as an afterthough, though he could do his damage.
He found the Kin quickly, blocking a rain a tiny balls of metal. The metal became so thick together it obscured their vision.
Hurling a torrent of fire at the men, he created an orb large enough to protect them all.
Find leader/thinker on the left side. Go!
He turned to watch them. Only then did he see the forgotten one, flying at him.
"NO!"
Out of instinct his orb became something more. Powerful enough to throw the forgotten several meters and shriek in pain.
Things couldn't have gotten worse. More men. So many of them coming from every direction. The metal flew at him from everywhere. He couldn't even begin to imagine things getting any worse...

The commander watched as the shuttles entered the Motherlands skies. Fire consumed the bottom, as they got closer.
"Good," the commander thought to himself, "Andres has made it down, now to begin the defences,
The commander made his way over to the CPU. Just as he got close someone stopped him,
"Commander, I think you should see this" one of the security men said,
"What is it”?
"Well, something just got inside the offworld, he came through the dock,"
"Something?"
"Yes sir, it floats"
"What, let me see,"
The commander looked at the screen. It was a rerun of what had just happened, the pictured showed dock 3. The door was closing but before it stopped and man came through, he hit the ground then began to float out of the dock,
"What the hell, send out the fighters, see if there are more outside,”
"Yes commander,"
---
Dock 6, 7 and 2 opened and out came 5 shuttles. They looked normal except they had two gatling guns on each side. The shuttles where piloted by 6 men. 1 drove, 1 worked the radio and 4 operated the guns.
As the shuttles came around to the dock they saw men floating in front of it,
"What are they" the driver asked
"I have no idea,” replied the radioman.
---
The halls where quiet, not many people came through them. The only person there was a guard on his way to the safe room. As he turned down the hall an explosion came from in front of him,
"God, more terrorists" the man said as he fumbled to get his gun out of its hoister. They had never use them much so they where bad with them.
As the smoke got sucked up the ventilation the guard could see the terrorist, or what he thought was terrorists. Down the hall were at least 20 people and they where floating and fighting. Most of them where white and silver but one was black, it looked like the black one was fighting all the other ones. The man didn't know what to do, but having a gun in his hand wasn't the best thing. Before he could think he had fired off round after round at the things.
---
Back on the bridge the commander could feal what was happening,
"Terrorists" the commander yelled, "scatter the police, send all the military staff to the docks and launch the safe room,"
The bridge was in shock, if they didn't reply soon they would end up like Offworld Militia,
"Commander, something’s wrong with the safe room, it won't launch,"
"Why, try again,"
"Sir, its the wires, they where burnt and destroyed before, the safe room won't launch,"
"Well send all the men we can to the safe room, and send some people to fix the wires."

Find leader/thinker on the left side. Go!
Never a thought of waiting crossed De'Mara's head. Speeding off in what he was certain must be the right direction, he watched, suddenly horrified as a giant black creature flew past him in Jahran's direction.
Ignoring it - Jahran could take care of himself - he cloaked himself, more a way to get inside than out of the safety in doing so.
He moved as fast as he could, winding his way through various bridges and other contraptions, eventually coming upon an entrance.
Following it in, he found a small-sized orbital pod. Ripping open the shaft, he gave General A. no time to speak.
"Your men are dying. They have no chance against two dozen of us, let alone one of the forgotten." Ignoring the fact he probably didn't know who the forgotten was, De'Mara rushed on "The Kin have returned, and whether you have heard of us or not, you are all involved now. This is your chance, and believe me your only one to accept what I am offering you. We shall allie. The Kin will be your advisors in matters, and you will offer us your men, and your loyalty to us. That or become our enemies. You have seen what we can do. I wish to hear none of your rubbish, a simple yes or no will suffice. What say you?"
Me'Dara waited, almost hearing the air stir with the winds of time changing. Everything changed...

General A lay on his bed. He was certain that sooner or latter he would slip into insanity, and being in a war, in a different time was not what he needed. As he laid there the door flew open and a man flew in,
"Wind Walker" General A muttered to himself as the man came closer and closer,
"Your men are dying. They have no chance against two dozen of us, let alone one of the forgotten. The Kin have returned, and whether you have heard of us or not, you are all involved now.
"No, No, its not possible" General A said as he fell to his knees, "GET AWAY FROM ME"
---
Police where scattered everywhere, covering all sectors of the Offworld.
"What was that," One of the police said as he saw the door to the safe room fly off. Running into the room the man noticed General A curled up and a man flying above him, "BACK OFF" the man said as he aimed his gun, "I SAID BACK OFF"
---
The Offworld was a battlefield, the ring had already been blocked off and guards stationed at the only entrance. Every hall way was now being patrolled; these creatures would be destroyed soon.
---
Outside the Offworld the shuttles where watching this strange creatures,
" Alert, strange people onboard, shot on site " came a voice over the radio,
"Those must be the people," the radio man said pointing out the window,
"Ok men, fire" the pilot said as he flew the ship around the men and began to orbit as the gunmen fired.

Jahran lay gasping for breath. His powers were nothing on this forgottens. He was but a child fighting a full-grown man.
One of the metal balls had struck his arm earlier. Had it been his head, he had no doubt he would be dead by now. Thunder struck at him and he was forced to scamper out of the way.
Men surrounded him. He couldn't put his head under control to touch su'oth.
"Radio says shoot on sight" someone said
The shafts they called "guns" - the ones which fired the bullets - swung to face him.
Fire came from everywhere, sweeping the men off their feet. Jahran blinked, and Al'Aruth stood over him. His eyes shone.
I am here, Kinbrother. This fight is not yet done.
His arm suddenly stung, and he recognised the healing being used on him. He rose to his feet.
The forgotten is here.
Al'Aruth nodded. Somehow he didn't think the forgotten changed things for his Kinbrother.
----------------------------------------------
"BACK OFF!" someone yelled behind him
Me'Dara instinctively created a shield around himself, turning to face the man.
"I SAID BACK OFF!"
His lips quivered in outrage. He had a good mind to leave the man dead - let alone a limited amount of time. Deciding against it, he created a thin tendril of su'oth nipping the man in a sensitive area behind the head. Physical attacks often left less damaged than direct mental attacks, which could scar the mind. The man crumpled, falling to the ground quickly.
Out of curiosity, Me'Dara took his weapon, creating a small den'shi to store it in. He turned to face the leader.
"You are weak, human. I have seen stronger that could have taken your place. STAND UP AND FACE THE KIN!"
Dragging him to his feet, Me'Dara screened his mind, carefully. He found nothing besides anger and stress.
"Know that the Kin will not hesitate to do what needs done. We are bound by our oaths, but one does state, "Let any who stand in the path of our returning be slayne. Know that we are not fools to be meddled with. Most importantly, know that you are of little importance to us, besides preventing more bloodshed than neccessary. You cannot win this battle. You make a choice now. Accept us or die!"
Me'Dara already had the flows ready to end this humans life...
---------------------------------------------
The Kin did battle. Few had enough power to remain cloaked, shielded and fight at the same time, and Jahran had been clear on one thing. Shields up till the vitcory araa had been pulled and not a minute earlier.
The forgotten had killed one of them before they even sensed his presence. They would not make that mistake again.
We move. Al'Aruth is here.
Several of the younger Kin started yelling, making quick thunderclaps with the su'oth
Al'Aruth has returned. He comes to save us!
Some of them had gotten the wrong impression about what happened on the beach. Al'Aruth had become something of a hero.
Ice surged forward, spilling over the tops of the forts the men barricaded behind. Someone swept a weak mind spring forward, and a few of the Kin nodded appreciation. It would bring whoever it touched discomfort enough to affect their concentration.
Jahran had also been clear they were not to kill any more than neccessary. They would show these humans what the Kin could do...

The commander sat at his seat watching as all the men from every bridge room ran around doing their work. This fight had already done too much,
"Gentle men, I'm afraid that the fight is lost, we cannot win"
"That is not true commander," One of the guards said, "We can still barricade this room, kill them as they come through,"
"Haven’t you seen what they did to General A. Haven't you seen what’s happening on the screens," The commander said as he went to the CPU, "Turn off the ring, get ride of the gravity and send out a message, the fight..." the commander was stopped in his words. From his open mouth now came blood,
"I have seen more than you ever will" One of the guards said as he lowered his gun, "All men on this bridge who want to live grab a weapon and come with me, everyone else, consider yourself dead,"
All the bridgemen replied quickly to this grabbing all the handguns and knifes that lay on the rack in the middle of the bridge,
"THIS OFFWORLD IS STILL IN CONTROL OF WHITE DWARF" the Guard shouted as the mob ran down the halls.

"THIS OFFWORLD IS STILL IN CONTROL OF WHITE DWARF-"
The words fell from his mouth as white-hot bars of fire flew from the Kin's hands dragging him, screaming into the air...

The offworld is ours
Me'Dara flew out of the exit, enough shield ready. It seemed the Kin had things under control already.
"The offworlds are ours!" some yelled, then others joined in "The offworlds are the Kin's!"
Al'Aruth, already pooled with Jahran, drew more su'oth than he had ever before. He personified his voice to be heard all around the place.
"The offworlds belong to the Kin now. These were the words uttered from your leaders lips. Our return has come. You shall kneel and accept us."

"Roger Willis. Anzag out"
Meanwhile captain Bonillo on the homer pulled into geosynch orbit right above the Hyperion and Captain harwood on the Trinity pulled out in front of the Midway and the America providing cover for those two ships. 5 minutes later the Midway launched 3 fighters designated alpha wing and the America launched 2 shuttles to go and relive the ACS forces from the Mercutio and the Hermes and one shuttle to send troops to go and check out the offworld.
On the planet floor the ACS marines...
The Marines were busy moving logs and digging holes to make their posistion that much better. Several were out on patrol helping the offworlders to gather supplies. All was going well until two more military shuttles landed in the midst of the activity.

Two tanks rolled into the portal, disappearing in a flash of blue light. Within seconds, they appeared in the small pocket dimension that the Dragons were located in.
"Mendoza, get me a vid feed now!"
The tanks video feeds beamed straight into the Heads Up Displays of the assembeled army. One of the tanks drove, but it hit an invisible force, preventing it from moving foward...
The other scanned the area, its small "eye" taking in the surrounding terrain. It noticed the dragons, but no other threats. The Colonel hijacked the tanks' built in radio transmitters to broadcast his voice to the dragons.

Two tanks had entered the den'shi. If Al'Aruth guessed correctly, they were the ones used by the su'oth weilders he had attacked.
The portal was sealed from the inside, but was somehow still active from the beach he had made it. Amazing!
He opened up a portal inside the den'shi and held the dragons and wyrm in place. He then ushered the tanks through with strong gales of air. He didn't want these two mixing.
As the tanks rolled into the other den'shi, he addressed his captives.
"You are strong. I admire that. Three of you may go, one dragon I wish to keep. You will inform your leader that the Kin is to be taken seriously. Go!"
He opened another portal back to the beach, dissapearing suddenly, with one of the dragons...

Lt winters say encased in his power armor and thought about the last few days. He had been spun through what command was now indicating was a portal through space and time, he had thought himself abondoned in a hostile and entierly alien world, and now he had just help construct a planetside base alongside a bunch of humans from another dimension! And now he was leading his men into another unknown situation. As the shuttle cleared the atmosphere and began to fly towards the offworld he became more and more anxious. The shuttle passed the Hyperion and her escort frigate. Now the offworld loomed ominously in the viewplate of the shuttle. The piolets cut thrust and slowly entered the landing bay they had left only 8 hours before. The ramp lowered and the 12 marines trooped out onto the deck. The section's three plasma cannons trained back and forth and the rest of the group swept their just as deadly 4mm railguns as well.
The group was heavily armed and well armored but many still were nervous. What the hell had taken out something so big. They had all seen the datapulse vids of the other offworld going down bigtime. And despite their armor many were still unsure whether they would survive something like that.
"Ok boys we are going to move out and we are going to move out strong. I want bravo team to take this south corridor to the "wheel" and I want Charlie to take the path to the bridge. Alpha will stay here with me as a bastion for you guys to retreat too. Dump your extra ammo here if you don't want to carry it. Also if you find anyone that is not a threat don't shoot 'em for all we know this could just be a broken commo array."
"Sir what if its not?" asked a young private.
"well if it aint....shoot the place to hell. You got me?"
"Hell yeah sir!" replied the private stroking his rail gun's trigger.
"Any more questions before you ladies move out?"
"No sir!" responded the group in unison.
"Well get on em!"
With that the power armored marines split up and trooped off to their respective objectives. 4 suits to the bridge and engines and 4 suits to the "ring". 4 more stayed on the landing bay. The halls were dark and initially some of the lights flickered out above the marines. The scene was erriely dark and rather spooky, more so because there were no people around. All of the marines had on their senors, if anything so much as breathed near them they would have it targeted in a second, and one second later they would unleash hell.
OOC:
Plasma cannons are tube-like assemblies underslung on a power suit's arm. they can eaither shoot plasma cannisters that explode at long range or they can shoot plasma washes which shot concentrated plasma up to 15 feet in a huge plume. That is called shotgunning and all these suits have their cannons set at "shotgun" the Rail guns they carry are 3 foot long rifles they have ridiculasly high rates of fire and every shot is a 4mm depleted uranium slug going a high fraction of the speed of light. All these weapons do extreme damage and are the main weapons of these suits, others include plasma grenades hyper velocity missiles cannister shots a 1 mm rail gun on the wrist and a 8 inch long mono-molecular blade that extends from the fore-arm www.freewebs.com/bigred22/ check out this site for more details on the power armor itself

"Ok men," Andres said as he looked around, "Lets get those containers open, I want a comlink set up,"
"Yes Minister Toro" the men said.
It had been a few minutes and the men had started to set up the radio,
"Mr Toro," the driver yelled, "I just got a radio from the offworld, its lost, it no longer belongs to WD,"
"What, radio them again," Andres demanded
"I tried but there’s no reply,"
"No, not another one, contact Offworld 1, tell them to move out as fast as they can,"

His sentence was cut short by Sk'mak's tail, slamming into his path with a deafening noise. "No. We follow. He hasn't sealed the portal he left through."
Tk'akr hissed quietly in agreement. "He won't get away with this."
Arak hissed resignedly. "Okay." He wedged his mind into the portal, and twisted it open. "Let's go, then."

OOC: Khrrk, did you read my post correctly? I didn't create another portal to leave through, I merely dissapeared with the dragon. How and why is still unknown to you're guys, but I'll let your know. A den'shi is created in the style of a portal leading into something which is outside time and matter itself. When the flows are tied off, the den'shi becomes a small cube, which the creator can enter by filling it with su'oth. My body is not in the den'shi as such, but by holding the cube I have some degree of control over it. If I was to enter the den'shi myself, I would need to create a portal into it. That can be done easily, but portals cannot be made from the inside.
This being said, you are correct to some degree, in that I forgot to close the portal I took the tanks through. If you want to continue, the way you went, you would only take yourself into yet another den'shi I am keeping the tanks in, so I don't see why you would bother...

Men and women went about their business as usual on the offworlds. Five Kin now held peace in the giant city - the rest had returned to their land.

Al'Aruth watched the ship coming from a distance.
Be ready, Kinbrothers. Fighters come
He would not risk more fighting now. If they came to kill, he would show them the danger of the Kin.
Men in strange armor exited the ships, several of the Kin taking note on their "guns". Jahran had already worked out a method of disabling these weapons. They were still weary, though. They could contain any number of other devices.
Creating a wall or su'oth around each man, Al'Aruth addressed them.
"Do you wish to fight? Do you really believe you stand a chance against near ten thousand men - five thousand of which fell to twenty five of the Kin. Five of which are currently blocking you from any possible attack. Are my words too quick for you human? This place belongs to the Kin. Join us or leave now."

A portal opened up in front of one of the patrols and PFC Kozlowski went flying through it. Immidiatly the rest of the patrol tried to bring their weapons to bare. Too late the portal closed around the private first class before they could do anything. Where his magnetic boots had held him to the deck there were signs of ripped metal. Immediatly things got very tense. The 3 remaining marines stood standing by where Kozlowski had just been pulled through. One was armed with a plasma cannon the other two with rail guns.
"Sir! Kozlowski just got pulled through something he is a gonner should we keep going secure or pull back?"
"Get through there for all we know the portal is still open and Koz should be out in a few minuted once he gets his bearings."
Just as his finished saying that one of the marines walked into what seemed to be an invisibal wall and his 2 ton suit of armor was knocked backwards and the trooper let out an audibal gasp; not much will stop armor like that.
"Winters! I just hit a wall its completly invisible" The rest of the troopers checked around running their hands along a rock solid wall of air.
"Winters! those damn voices want us to surrender!"
"Umm did you try blasting up or down?" asked winters trying to get his team out of a comprimised posistion.
The marine with a plasma cannon slagged a hole in the floor and dropped through hitting a solid wall exactly the same as the one blocking the corridors.
"Shit!" thats not gonna work sir." said the marine using his thrusters to shoot himself back up to where he started.
"Did the voices say anything else?" asked Winters rolling his eyes as he realized how ridiculas that question sounded.
"Yeah if we leave Koz is coming back and we walk free it seems that the source of the voices has control of offworlds. You might want to inform our guest that we need to get the hell out of here."
"Ok sounds like we may need to leave and regroup outside the offworld. Try and communicate with these voices and meet me back at the hanger deck." Said the LT
"Roger sir lets hope they give us back Koz." said the trooper thinking about how lonely koz must be at the moment. " Hello?...whoever...is... out...there...we...are...going...to...leave...now." said the trooper very slowly as if he was talking to an old half deaf person.

Too much bloodshed. We forget ourselves Kinbrother.
Time was slipping through their hands. Al'Aruth ran as fast as he could to catch up to General A. He never thought to use su'oth.
"General, I am afraid we must leave now."

"We must leave," he said more firmly "In the lower basements, you will find a dragon and a small blue cube marked with symbols. Take care of the dragon, do not let him escape. The cube, you must break. Doing so will open a portal into a den'shi. The five thousand men there are yours. I trust this should be enough to take care of yourselves with."
Al'Aruth felt a tinge of regret about leaving them like this. The forgotten could strike again at any time. The Kin had started gathering themselves in a ring around him, on Jahran's order.
"Do not forget us. Do not forget the fealty you swore to us. We shall fight together in the last battle ... Kinbrother."
He pressed a disc into the General's hands.
"Should you ever need protection, pulling this disc in two will open a calling portal to us. Do not hesitate to use it."

No. I will not accept this. You leave him in a den'shi for a while and he might crack up, but simply saying "He's under my control now" is not acceptable. Neither is the way you're trying to direct the story, come to think of it.]
OOC: Calm down Kid. When you learn how to write well, then you can abuse me. At least the stories gone somewhere with me. Hows about you just sod off and start you're own post? Lets face it, you're not really doing much for this besides whining. You control your dragon, but White Dwarf will tell him what do to - just directed through your viewpoint. Btw, this is the last post I'll be making for a while.

Again, I ask; what exactly is wrong with my writing?
At least the stories gone somewhere with me.
You're not in charge of the story, though. You seem to have been coming dangerously close to dictating the plot.
I'll make a IC post in a hour or so.]

OOC: ok guys the RL story of what just happened is that Mutant Dogs is going to Europe so he won't be posting for a while. As for the men, a while back if you remember he trapped some men in the portal thing. And don't worry, I don't intend on using them. (Although...)
So, now lets get back to where the fight was on the planet and not on my offworld.
IC: The Gun Shuttles circled the creature and just as they fired something happened,
" What the hell, the things gone "
" Guys, stop talking, you nearly hit me "
" Yeah, guys gattlers off, this things dead, or something "
---
As the transport shuttles made it onto the docks they started to unload the men,
"Ok, be careful, try to be as silent as you can" One of the men said as the army walked through the hallways in groups.
"Where are those creatures," one man asked,
"Don’t know, I'll ask," another replied as he reached for his comlink, " any spotting yet "
" Not yet "
" None here "
More and more different ways to say no keep on coming through,
" Ok then, everyone, to the bridge, lets regain control, [i] "
" [i] Right, lets go men "
---
After some travelling through the halls Andres was finally in his favourite spot,
"My bridge, so nice to have you back," Andres thought as he over looked all the men getting in place, "Ok, CPU, I want the ring activated and lets start getting supplies up here,"
After that Andres walked to the Com section,
"You men, send a message to the foreigners, ask them if we can borrow some shuttles for the transportation of the resources,
"Roger Minister Toro,"
"This is how it should be" Andres thought as he sat down.
OOC: Last thing, about my General, he should be fine soon, its just the kin fully mucked him up
IC: All over the Offworld the citizens where glad to see the Kin flee, but they couldn't help but feel that something was still there, hanging onto them.
OOC: lastly last thing, it’s hard for Mutant Dogs not to be in a sort of dictating position; I mean the whole story did revolve around him at that time. He just wanted to tell everyone what’s happened before he left. GO back and read the IC posts, you'll see.

Ak'mar jerked in shock as he was dumped out of the den'shi into a strange place.
The first thing he noticed was the gravity. Or, rather, the lack of it.
Gods, I'm falling!
Ak'mar snapped his wings out, spreading them wide.
Ah, damnit, damnit, damnit. I'm still falling...
Ak'mar wrenched his mind back into something resembling calm and tried to take stock of the situation. True, he felt like he was falling. But he wasn't getting any closer to the metal floor.
There's no gravity!
Ak'mar flipped a wingtip experimentally. The area revolved for a moment, then drifted to a stop. Well, time to get to work. First of all, let's get rid of this...
Ak'mar gave a mental flip to his armor's clamps. It seperated and drifted away, pieces gliding through the air and bouncing gently off walls.
Okay, mind check.
Ak'mar folded his wings and curled into a ball, unhampered by his armor. His eyes half-closed as he slid into a comtemplative state.
Ak'mar sorted through his mind, brushing aside clusters of experiences and knots of momory. Finally, he came to a huge wall of fear. It towered into his mental sky, interfering with the winds of thought and cloudbanks of personality.
Ak'mar hissed between his teeth. This is bad.
He slid deeper into meditation, eroding the wall with reasonable arguments and chipping off slivers of horrible, tainted memory. He drifted deeper, ignoring the outside world as he worked away inside his mind.
[OOC: Ak'mar's trying to deal with that terrible time he had in your den'shi, Mutant Dogs. I think that's clear enough.]

"Hello? Who are you? What's going on?"
"Shkak."
Arak collapsed to the floor, resignedly. "We've lost Ak'mar. And Al'Aruth. Shkak."
Sk'mak nudged him with his snout. "Come on, let's get out of here."
Arak pushed himself back onto his feet, and nodded to the tanks. "Come on, let's get out of here. We can talk afterwards."
Arak stepped back through the portal, followed by Tk'akr and Sk'mak.

The Acursed Legion
30-03-2004, 11:19
Hundreds of soldiers in green and black armor march out of a portal in Half-Moon territory. As more forces, including a number of robed mages, join them, they begin setting up an encampment. In the center, next to the portal, a flag bearing the image of a silver spoon, seeming to glow an ominous green, on a black background...
The Accursed Legion had arrived.
OOC: After all, you have to have some sort of villian....

OOC: so basically the offworlds are back in your control right? white dawrf. The kin are gone, and we are all happy but now we have this acursed legion that has shown up in halfmoon's territory. Well this can't stand ill start moving my forces to engage that. I am just throwing this post out there i will edit it later.
IC on the hyperion
Captain! Captain! we have a major influx of energy on the planet. Its on the same spectrum as the portals.
Alright enhance that area on the teloscopics and lets try to find out what nasty surprises have come through the portal today.
Yes sir i will have the report to you in 5 minutes.
Alright thanks. This is Captain \ (umm whats his name?) i have a portal opening planet side not far from the base. I think we need a full alert and all possible ground forces to the base now.
Roger that said Captain (umm whats his name) we will dispatch the ground troopers now. On their way back up they will start to ferry supplies its vital that you hold that base from whatever comes through the portal.
OOC2: Ill fight off the accursed legion while helping whitedwarf to keep his offworlds supplied. I think that white dwarf should concentrate on creating a way to close and open the portals becuase he doesn't have many weapons. This big battle the kin want will probably go down between my marines and the accursed legion. But if the kin show up again i am going to try and close the portal i don't want them coming to my system. well thats all for now...
[OOC: Ak'mar is aboard one of your offworlds, White Dwarf. Probably in a hangar bay, with no gravity. The blue cube Mutant Dogs mentioned is in there too.]

OOC: Got ya Khrrck, sounds good. Also Irish, I'll send all the forces I have to your ships so they can go down with your men.
IC:
" Minister Toro, we haven’t found General A yet. We are still searching, "
" Ok, " Andes said back into the comlink, "Where are you"
" We are about to go into the holder bay, shouldn't be long now "
" Roger that, continue,"
---
"General A are you in here" One of the police officers said as he switched on the light to the holder bay,
OOC: Ok little note here, the holding bay is one HUGE room where all supplies are stored. Like the buildings they use to build Boeings
IC: "What the hell is that" the officer shouted as he noticed a creature laying in the bay,
"I don't know, go find out" the other replied,
"It looks like a dragon,"
"Well, what do we do" the men where nervous, "Do you think it belongs to those psi people,"
"I don't know, get your gun" the men got their guns ready,
"Ah, you there ... Dragon, put your, um... legs where we can see them"
the men waited for a while, the dragon seemed to be deeply concentrating into something.
---
All the military personal went back to the shuttles, 200 men to each shuttle, 5 shuttles in total. After loading up the shuttles launched from the docks and headed towards the foreign ships.
OOC: and yes i said " Holder Bay "
OOC2: I just noticed something,I'm the oldest here. Yahoo
Ak'mar examined the remains of the wall. Messing with your own mind is difficult, even for a dragon, and he wasn't particularly good at it. Still, it was better than nothing.
Something unintelligible managed to get his attention.
"What the hell is that?"
I wish I knew what he was saying. thought Ak'mar, as he pulled himself out of his trance. He uncurled himself slowly, careful not to seem like he was attacking the men.

OOC: Sorry for the lack of quality posts, but I've been embroiled in "the Klonor crisis" and I haven't had too much time for anything else. :)
Far off in the distance, the Colonel could see another portal open up, and a army emerge from it. This army didn't look too friendly. Fournately, even at maximum magnifigation, they were still pretty small, so it would take them some time to get to the Freethinkers' ship.
He opened a general force com: "Attention all CF forces, form up on the Freethinkers' transport. Set up defensive emplacements. I want that ship to be a veritable fortress for when our 'friends' arrive."
[OOC: What about the tanks in the den'shi with Arak and the dragons?]

OOC: The tanks don't really have anything to do. I was under the impression that the portal back is closed. If you want to help out against the legion, join in. I could use 'magical' support to compensate for my total lack of air and artillery support. :)
[OOC: The portal back is open.]
Sk'mak looked around as Arak and Tk'akr emerged from the portal behind him. "Not much new... wait, just a minute."
Sk'mak squinted at the flash of green on the horizon. "Someone new on the scene. And I don't like the looks of them."

The men stood 'infornt of the dragon shaking,
"Ah, you there ... Dragon, put your, um... legs where we can see them"
After that the dragon began to move slowly
"Stop!" one man shouted. From that shout the other man tensed up and the gun fired just missing the dragon, "Shit" the man yelled as he to tensed up firing his gun,
"Stop, he’s not attacking,"
"Hay, you fired first,"
"You scared me, anyway, go up and talk to it,"
"No, I’ll do that form here," he put his gun back, "Dragon, can you here me, we mean you no harm,"
Ak'mar jerked as the shot ripped past his flank. He reached out with his mind and yanked.
Pieces of armor twisted in mid-air and flew toward him, dropping into place and locking together. Over the noise, he managed to hear one sentence.
"Dragon, can you hear me? We mean you no harm."
Ak'mar blinked. Some of the words sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn't understand the man.
He tried a sentence in the only human language he knew.
"Non intellego."

The loaded shuttles burned through the atmosphere and landed in the center of the now heavily fortified base. The soldiers disembarked quickly and rapidly moved out to the defenseive posistions.
"Ok LT Chen here is the sitrep, there is a large unidentifed force moving along the coast not far from your posistion. I want you to dispatch one patrol towards the ship that they are headed too and take the rest of your men and attack the force while falling back towards the ship. Laison with the defenders there and we will cover the battle with the hyperion. That sound like a good plan to you?" Asked the Ground Force commander or the GFC.
"Yes sir i like it, ill get on the plan right away." Said LT Chen ending his transmission.
After about 5 minutes of talking to his subordinates a plan was laid out for the movement, Srgt. Mathers was going to take 8 men to the ship and help them dig in. Lt Chen was going to take the rest of the force and set up an ambush posistion. The ACS ran full speed at the wire and then jumped the 8 foot fence in one bound their powered legs sending them flying. In good combat order the suits moved out into the trees and fields that would lead to the coast. In another 15 minutes all of the suits were in posistion for the main attack force. They hid themselves among rocks and tree, and finally all of them engaged their active cammo which allowed them to blend in perfectly with the surroundings unless they moved or fired.
Srgt. Mather also made progress and within 30 minutes he was within a mile of the ship.
"Hello this is Sargent Mathers of the TDF marines we come in peace and would like to help you dig in in preperation of this new attack. We have more men but we cannot speak their posistion on this radio. Send back on radio freak 1496tc. We are awaiting your response....
OOC: I got all the arty you need my ship the hyperion is stationed above us and can drop hundreds of KEW's which are basically big bullets that use the fall from space to creat energy that pretty much destroys everything it hits. We have that and a few other things, also my boomers (heavy weapon suits) have a 75mm howitzer and a 60mm mortar incorperated into their weapon systems, that should cover it for arty that or we could fight each other

OOC: OK well my power armor is going to set up a fire base behind you and they will also start marking kill zones for the hyperion. You should have all the arty you need for the time being. Also my power armoed will work as a reserve for your troops their armor is hardy and they should be able to plug any gaps in your line.
White-Dwarf seeing as mutant dogs pretty much left me out of the story line in space i am going to do most of my rping on the world, tell me if you need anything in space.
