With Practiced efficency the defenders of the Hellespontos Defence wall promptly came into action, forwarned by the numerous early warning systems installed into New Roan during the cease fire. 450 Mega-Cannons roared to life for the first time in 15 years, reaping long range death into the waste lands beyond the wall. Forward recon teams targetting the fore front of the enemy invasion with laser targetters, guided missiles into the armour and destroying many of their targets.

The great walls of Hellespontos opened, numerous divisions of Mechanized infantry and Armour(8 Mechanized infantry divisions, 4 Armoured) speared into the waste lands, taking on the first line of 8 well planned defensive emplacements. Laser Anti-Aircraft vehicles placed in great quantity through out their ranks would make enemy air power nearly useless in this engagement...Vascilia has had over twenty years to prepare for the inevitable assault by Tor Yvresse, the first time had nearly ruined Vascilia. This would not be a repeat of past events.

Citizen Militia's numbered in their thousands, and though not apart of the Vascilian command structure had deployed themselves to the numerous towns and villages that dotted the Hellespontos No Fly zone. 120,000 Lightly armed troops stood ready to defend their Homes, farms and business' from the onslaught of the Alien forces.

I reckon I'll keep it invite only just so we dont have people dropping in, I want to keep ground it manageable just so I dont get flustered by everyone sending posts in...of course the first person I have to bring in is Noriegania, as the Hellespontos wall is on his border. Just to remind you Tor Yvresse, its pretty much impossible to show up behind the wall. In the last few years all the webgates on our side and inside the No Fly Zone have other been collected and sent to Tannelorn for research or have been buried deep in the ground.

Just Tor. If you look at the Mars map you'll see the kinslayer territory. My troops are on the eastern end of the canal in the smaller bay. To get to them either you'll have to circumvent the Canal and use boats or what ever to get across leaving yourself vulnerable to AA-fire or cross the Canal. The troops are positioned their to defend the Mangalan canal zone, so their mission is no to attack you.

I noticed the post in the land grab thread where you came under attack so yeah, I guess that didn't happen haha.

Anyway, looks like you're on Mars now. Congradulations. You can either keep the war going against the League or just leave it at a cold war for now. No military action against you is planned for the future.

Imperial infantry immediately went about theiir business, erecting ground based defneses in strategic zones, and breaking ground on a number of military facilities.

Within 12 hours, the Imperium had nearly a quarter of a million Southron and Easterling marines on the ground, wit reinfocements arriving constantly via dropship and webgate. Descending slowly through the atmosphere along with the dropships was the 3rd Fleet, complete with Skyfurnace escort. Arriving over the bay, the 3rd consolidates its denfenses, facing the canal.

The Eldar forces where now all gathered and ready for the inevitable strike. Squadrens of Swooping hawks dotted the air, Thousends of them, enjoying the unparrelled abilties open to Infantry that could actually fly. As the defences of the Wall opened up the Eldar shrugged uncaring, a few Vypers and Jetbikes where smashed under the onslaught but now and only now could the weight of the Forces brought to bear be seen.

EVERY single Aspect Shrine was here at Divisional strength or greater, Thousends upon Thousends of the Eldar layed out across the small territory.

Waves of Grav Tanks readied themselves just beyond the effective range of the Defences, awaiting the signal. Then it arrived, a huge terrifying monstrosity, a creature to instil terror into the hearts of men, It strode to the front of the Tor Yvresse lines and stood wreathed in flames, flames from the heart of it's being. Slowly it turned to face the Kionash, and the chant began, more than a Hundred Thousend voices all raised in praise, all chanting at the same moment.

Khailia-Mensha-Khaine. Khailia-Mensha-Khaine. Khailia-Mensha-Khaine.

Then The avatar of Khaine turned back once more to face the defenders and raised the Wailing doom above it's head. The Chanting stopped and a new sound could be heard, a single noise that somehow was louder than the assembled mass of the Eldar, it carried across the vast distance between the forces. A Roar of victory, of Death, and soon all the assembled eldar joined, across the vast distances of the assult every Eldar roared in promise of victory. The Assult had begun.

Wave Serpents now raced across the remaining ground, inside them the Eldar Aspect Warriors waited, Over 800 Wave Serpents in the first wave, escorted by Vypers and normal Jetbikes. Behind them came other Transports the Falcon Grav Tanks.

On another Flank of the assult, the Vaul Engines raced across the lands between the targets, Weapons firing in direct challange to the defence Cannons. Lances of pure energy raced across the interveening distances, this entire front was commanded by Iyaana, Warmaster of the Kionash. elsewhere the air attack began in earnest, as anti-air defences sprang to life on the surface, they found themselves faced with a unique problem... they where targeting Infantry. Flying Infantry to be sure, but still infantry, they where targeting a force that could land in seconds, and with a surface area much smaller than a usual aircraft. Although the weapons of the Hawks where also weaker, it mattered not when there where so many of these craft, the sky was blackened behind the screen of the Kionash.

We regret that we were unable to come to your aid in the orbital battle, leading to the loss of that conflict. However, we cannot stand by while the Incarnation of Evil attempts to take land by force, and one who we hoped to be able to call 'friend' is beaten into the ground. While other obligations will not allow us to go to open war with Melkor or TY, to leave you standing alone is not an option, either. Please tell us how we can assist in the ground war, and we will do our best to hold the back the enemy at the gates.

OOC Note as statedin the other thread my fleet has now taken position above the defensive wall, and begun Orbital strikes at Targets of importance. Basically if a Cannon is seen firing the Fleet opens fire. Also note that the Fighters/Bombers of my fleet have entered the atmosphere. They are conducting bombing runs in two waves of 800 each, cycling through so as one returns to refuel the other enters the atmosphere, and so on. They will keep this up for quite some time...

The Eldar armies were clearly visible on the ground as the Martian Kajali forces streaked towards them in the fighters that had been of great use to the Coalition forces during the Kajalan Civil War, while a battlegroup was diverted in orbit to engage the TY fleet, with the intention of distracting them long enough to get the troop transports into the battlefield.

It seemed to be working. Battalions and Battalions of Kajali Marines deployed behind the Eldar army, supported by the gunships that were the standard Kajali dropships. Within moments, the high pitched scream of fighter engines filled the air, and the small, highly maneuverable craft engaged the Eldar aircraft. In total, there were more then a thousand of the fighters, comprising most of Kajal Mar's airforce.

(OOC: The numbers are coming from that shiny Points based military creator, at least to a bit. ^_^)

The Kajali forces engaged the rear of the Eldar army, taking casualties as the Eldar were indeed well prepared. However, tens of thousands of Kajali troops had ( OOC: total enlisted forces of Kajal Mars = 1,409,000. They've deployed about 70 thousand troops. ^_^;; )

The Majority of these forces landed in Vascilian territory to reinforce Auman's armies, and the battlegroup in orbit continued its attempt to distract the Eldar ships.

Cartorian born people have recently been seen on the surface attacking merchants and their businesses. If captured please return to the cartorian space crafts in orbit of the planet. A reward will be financed.

OOC: Unfortionately, the flu got me down. That alone prevented me from posting in responce as I had promised. The "12 hours later" thing didn't help either. It is BS and we all know it. So, this is what happened.


The Dark Elder ships landed. Likely most (some?) got their webgates open. Then....

True to it's word, Wazzu considered any landing an act of war.

With Manmen ships landing, Wazzu fighters launched from Ares station. They sped down into Mars' gravity well, down towards the shuttles, down towards the webgates as they opened.

In space above, Ares station and the fleet of Wazzu ships turned on their emergency EM-solar sail drives...but they did not release the plasma into them needed to get acceleration. Instead they warped the combined magnetic field, they spread it over the upper atmosphere of former Kinslayer territory and condensed it.

The field was wide and thin and dense...it increased in magnitude to greater then the electrical breakdown point of the Martian atmosphere. Plasma resulted.

The very thin layer of plasma was not enough to damage incomming objects, but it did hide the land below from observation.

Taking massive amounts of energy, the shield could not be sustained for long.

Below the shield, April West was the pilot of one of several pairs of fighters. She watched the massive energy signatures of the webgates, targeted, and fired.

Wazzu didn't have the fancy Xao! gravitic missiles the Menelmacari and Ardans had. Wazzu used something else to compete, a simple but far from crude fusion powered missile.

10 kilograms of deuterium and tritium fuel, a simple, inefficient engine, a centimeter thick conical shell made of carbon nanotubes (common in most forign ships, but considered "common cardboard" in Wazzu), and a simple but effective LIDAR 3D tracking system.

The missiles were FAST, they could maintain 2000 g's for nearly a minute before running out of fuel...it took them only 5 seconds to reach their targets...unseen by ships above...and with nothing below them yet set up to see them.

As the orcs poured out, the missiles went through the webgates. They detonated on the other side.

Small and only about 30% efficient, they managed about 180 kilotons at their destination, still several times larger then those first that hit Nagasaki and Hiroshima. A "tactical" weapon in modern times.

Whatever was on the other side was dead. No one would know where the explosions came from...it would likely be some time before the fleet at Mars orbit even heard of them, none-the-less put 2 and 2 together.

Ardan forces would have to come from space.

Wazzu prepared for War...as War had been declared on it by Manmen by landing the forces.

EDIT: Of course, we don't have a count on how many webgates were open...so we don't know how many explosions there were. And I don't know OOCly (or Wazzu ICly) where they connected to...so I have no clue who got nuked.

Only that nothing more would be pouring through those gates for some time.

The Range of the Mega-Cannons and the Cruise Missiles extends upto 600 miles past the borders of New Roan...if you have troops in and around the wall they can be shot.

and to the people offering aid...Auman needs Troops! Vascilia is for the most part inactive, and when I do get help its sporadic at best.

Hundreds of thousands of Unmanned Laser AA guns burst to life, striking many blows to the enemy fighters. Hundreds fell to the ground. Burning like comets in the dim light. Though this sudden and furious burst of activity was not with out its downfalls, enemy fighters opened fire in response destroying 60 of the 90,000 devices.

The wall guns and missile batteries kept up the unrelenting barrage. 450 Mega-cannon, and 100,000 cruise missile batteries dotted the enormous defence wall. Spewing death into the ranks of their foe.

2 Divisions of dedicated, elite troops manned the wall in wait of the inevitable assault. The Hellspontos Guard stood firm.

The 4 Divisions of Mechanized infantry made themselves comfortable in the massive defensive perimeter. They stayed in the positions in prepararation for the ground assault, ranging artillery fire into the wasteland causing much death and destruction while doing so.

4 Divisions of Heavy armoured surged forth, smashing into the front lines of Eldar infantry causing horrendous damage to their line that they would never recover from fully. Though this was not with out its consequences. Armour belonging to the 3rd and 72nd Heavy Armoured divisions took combined losses of 14 super heavy battle tanks and 32 Main Battle Tanks, Forced to retreat they had seriously weakened the Aumanii counter attack...

Elite Armour belonging to 80th and 2001st Heavy Armour Division miraculously took no losses, though this was because they had assaulted the weakest part of the line. They had managed to fully exploit the terrain and the enemy forcing many of the poory prepared infantry units into full retreat.

The Marauding tank forces have yet to come into full contact with serious enemy Armour formations as of yet, luckily for them.

600 Aumanii Fighters, that were landed after the space battle previous took off from their ground based air fields, rushing into missile range of the enemy within minutes the fighters unleashed a deadly salvo of high explosive missiles into the swarms of enemy fighters. Once the payloads were gone they closed to within cannon range and began to dog fight the maneuverable Eldar aircraft.(These planes I guess would be similar to the performance of the YF-21 from Macross plus*if you've seen it* except it doesn't transform. Highly Maneuverable aircraft...)

Taking several full on hits by long range enemy bombardment the Hellespontos Defence wall(East) had lost the function of 1 Mega-Cannon and 12 Cruise Missile Launch platforms. The following ammunition explosions killed 1200 troopers and blew out a section of wall 150 metres wide.

Aumanii military high command, ecstatic at the prospect of reinforcement got into immediate contact with Kajal officials. Detailing the mission in store for them.

Kajals troops were to relieve Aumanii infantry units manning the wall, freeing them up for the fight in the No Fly Zone. Kajalan special forces units would join those of Noriegania and Auman for any future operations.(Kajal, Im gonna TG you about the special forces missions I have planned.)

Repaired and refitted the Auman fleet burst back into real space some 200 km's off target, out for blood they began firing upon the Tor Yvresse fleet.

The Carrier fleets stayed to the rear of a well deployed formation, launching fighter borrowed from the flight bays of Freehold station to launch deadly anti-ship sorties against the Eldar fleet.

Battleships and their accompanying frigates, doing what they do best. Launched an all out assault on the visible Eldar fleet assets, pounding them with High energy weapons and Mass drivers.

CASCADE, having destroyed itself firing on the Enemy fleet in orbit no doubt did severe damage to the Eldar as well...

Vascilian Ground Defences were also pouring a continous stream of firing into the orbitting Tor Yvresse ships. High Energy Weapons and numerous light Anti-Ship Missiles amongst them, impacted the low lying fleet as they attempted to strike at Vascilian assets.

OCC: Auman, I can supply troops as long as I can be reasonably sure that melkor won't hunt me down and kill my every last citizen. Of course, I do have the greatest anti-invasion plan ever.....

If they can be disguised as your or at least Vascillian troops, I can give you 150,000 marines. However, armor and artillery would be hard because it would point to LRR involvement.

Secret IC:

At the LRR base on mars, half of the 300,000 troop garrison is put upon transports to Auman. They are stripped of anything that would identify them as LRR troops, and given very general uniforms.

OCC: Should LRR get officially involved in this conflict, we would be able to send:

600 Zetakat Armored Cars
200 Zetakat AA systems
50 antimissile batteries
10 anti-orbital EMP artillery batteries

(Note: In the event of an official LRR involvement, before any attacks are commenced, the aggressors will be asked to withdraw, and every effort will be made to keep casualties on both sides to a minimum.)

Althalon stroked his chin in thought. He must now deduce who had obliterated one of the largest military compounds in the Imperium, killing thousands. Should he fail in this task, Morgoth would have him killed. Besically, it had boiled down to who was in the area, and who had declared themselves hostile to Imperial landings. So far as he knew, Kajal was not a MIDAS signatory, thus was not in the area. If they had been, MIDAS or MIDAS-allied forces would sniff them out in an instant. There's no way they could have gotten their fighters from the other side of the planet to the bay anyhow. MIDAS nations had been sighted rounding up civilians when they first arrived in orbit--with Wazzu and Mangala running the most regular patrols over the contested area. While it could conceivably have been any MIDAS nation, Wazzu was the most vocal about opposing a landing.

It couldn't have been Auman.. no, that didn't make any sense. The Vascillians and MIDAS were too often at odds to have been running patrols in tandem, and if Auman had forces in the area, MIDAS would likely engage. Since he hadn't seen any dogfights [and neither had any of the other men], one could only assume that there were no Aumani air units in the area. Sensors did show Wazzu fighters entering the atmosphere some time before the strike....

Althalon pushed his brows together. It kept coming back to Wazzu.

Occam's Razor states that the most simple solution is the most probable. It could only be inferred that Wazzu was the one. Though he was certainly far from sure, he must make his report to the Dark Lord himself inside the hour. By then, he must have an answer. Althalon rubbed his temples. Gods, he didnt want to have to deal with this.

In orbit, the Fleets shifted their position to geosynch over Wazzu Elysium, and prepped their heavy missile tubes. No attack was initiated as of yet, and the 1st Fleet wheeled around to interpose themselves between the Fleets and Ares station.

On the ground, the landing effort was considerably slowed down. Dropships kept coming in and ferrying the injured back up to the shipyards, but it wasn't going nearly as well as they had planned. Air dominance must be established. A couple Raven fighter wings were dispatched from the shipyards and began the descent into the atmosphere.

War could yet be avoided, but only if decisive action were taken RIGHT NOW--not after some MIDAS hearing.

The Imperium has been directly and thoughtlessly attacked by MIDAS--more specifically, Wazzu. At sixteen hundred hours, Imperial east standard time, a warhead decimated Carcharoth Base in the Imperium. It is beleived that Wazzu fired a nuclear warhead through an open webgate, annhilating our base and killing thousands. We call on the civilized nations of Mars to eject Wazzu from MIDAS and possibly Mars itself. Excepting this, we will accept from Wazzu payment in full for the reconstruction of a new military base, and additional compensation for those lost in the blaze.

Barring this, the Imperium will most likely reduce Wazzu Mars to cinders. Should Wazzu leadership like to discuss this, we can arrange for a meeting aboard the Ali'Staan.

'The Wave Serpents have reached the target High Farseer.' The crackle of the Radio as the various parts of the first assult wave had gained their position. Whether it was because the Defenders pushed too soon or from the wrong place, they met little resistence... In this regards then they where pleased... as aboard 800 Wave Serpents Eight Thousend Forms across this section of the wall flicked as they stepped into the war. Across the entire section of the wall, an area several Kilometres wide, various defended enemy structures faced off against the shields of the wave serpents, and while many Serpents exploded most delivered their payload first.

In some 789 Wave Serpents unloaded Seven Thousend Eight Hundred and ninety odd Warp Spiders into the enemy defences. Each Warp Spider, in small squads of ten exited in the center of the structures, and fired the deadly Deathspinner, bent down and dropped a Plasma Charge. Even as around them the screams of the Mon-Keigh caught in the Mono-Filament webs filled the area. and then as silently as they appeared they where gone...

Ten seconds Later the Charges exploded as one.

As the Battle was joined in the skys the Eldar Farseers smiled and sent the signal. Across New Roan the Airports pof the Council open up and the sky was awash with their own Martian Airforce 150 darkstars and 90 Eagle Bombers raced to join the vampires already in the fight. A Small airforce next to that in orbit but these where dedicated to their role, the Darkstars raced out to engage the enemies' fighters.

The LRR orbital complex recieves the message, and it fires off a reply to Melkor.

The Massive walls on the West sector of the Defence wall, opened allowing a Division of the 19th Super Heavy Armour Corps. through. The SWM-200 Spider Walker combat tanks reinforced the Aumanii Armour, along with a Regiment of SWM-1000 Ultra Heavy Spider Walker Tank.

Causualties are relativley low right now estimated under 250, but these are sure to rise.

Wazzu Elysium was a sizable colony. Colonized long ago, much of it was underground, or in the North, underwater. This had a lot to do with the terraforming initiative, which Wazzu was a completely independant and still large (and largely unknown) contributer to.

But popping up through what the UN called the second most beautiful environment on The Planet Mars region were population centers, places of commerce, and even industry.

And it was from one of these places, the center of Wazzu diplomacy on Mars and a major aerospace port, that a single small craft launched.

No transmissions were sent fourth, and the craft was unarmed...indeed, unarmored except against radiation. The small planetary hopper vaulted itself into space towards the Ali'Staan. Apparantly, Wazzu was going to talk.

Once in orbit, docking instructions were requested.

The LRR marine command on mars has made up its mind- 2,000 marines as well as a force of 50 Grizzly MBTs, 10 Uller MRLSs, and 65 Letzelle APCs will be dispatched for the protection of Auman. Another 4,000 are being readied for deployment and should arrive about a day after the main force.

Okay but take note, my Warp spiders have already launched. A Vast section of that wall has been hit with Plasma Bombs. That is vast sections are in all likely hood empty and, well, destroyed. How did the wave serpents survive being that close? Have you seen a Wave Serpent... Up front and sides they have STUPID protection what parts do you think they exposed to the wall and the defenders... the front and sides. I have posted my casualties for the Wave Serpents... (Which impacted on the Warp Spiders. As for getting indside the defences. Thats what Warp spiders do, and did you really expect the enemy infantry to appear NEXT to your men, inside the defences!! (Okay those who have seen me have seen me do this tactic twice before... but it's still rare.))

Im not calling casualties, Im just implying that casualties should be high. I haven't slept much today so Im not typing things as well as I'd like too.

Anyway I gots to get off the computer so my brother can play Final Fantasy Online or what ever he does...that and Im sick and dont want to look at a computer screen right now.

The Warp spiders descended upon them like locusts, appearing from the air itself they attacked the main front. Killing hundreds in the first few minutes of combat. The First line of defence was very nearly at the brink of collapse...but then word had reached them. Overlord Marduk was mere hours away from joining them. Believe that they couldn't let "The Old man" down they regrouped and fought back...retaking 65% of the lost trenches. The final count for the assault was 1002 troopers(out of 45,000 in the division)

One soldier in particular set himself apart from the rest, Trooper Coln Menarii held a 200 metre long section of trench line for almost an hour against overwhelming odds. Weilding his machine gun at the hip and feeding the gun himself he managed to kill<insert losses here>, after being relieved by troopers of 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd company, he died of several wounds he sustained during the fight...many of which should have killed him outright.

100 metres of trench line exploded in a ball of flame. Mortar ammunition was set off by desperate troopers when their rifle ammunition wore out. Using the mortars like hand grenades a soldier accidentally dropped a activated charge into a pile of ammunition...destroying it completeley and utterly.

Total Losses:

-1002 Troopers.
-3 A.P.C.'s(I know the firepower that the Warp Spiders are packing...explaining the near collapse of the line and horrendous casualties in a short period)
-100 metres of trench line.

The LRR force heads twoards the battle area with utmost expedience, and soon the lead element of dropships can see the plumes of smoke billowing from the front line.

The five dropships of Sabre flight set down about 15 kilometers from the main battle and deploy their cargo of 50 marines and 2 tanks or five APCs apiece.

A general warning went out to the population of Sunset:

"There is a threat of use of WMD's against Martian soil. According to Sunset policy any violator will be subject to retaliation. All citizens are encouraged to prepare for invasion or sudden attack. All reserves are to report to duty stations. Further instructions are being posted."

Civil defense went into action as well - uniforms were hastily donned and armories were opened and weapons handed out. The domes went into lockdown - the transit networks closed, and blast doors sealed each arcology into a closed environment. As the civil defense teams formed up they made their way to the entrances and checked their defensive systems.

Citizens moved into the transit layer that wound behind the living area of each dome - any dome penetrated would at least offer a second layer to any weapon blast. In some of the domes special instructions were sent out - civilians loaded themselves into vehicles and made their way into the heavy vaults that held the Sunset webgates. Convoys were formed, and the webgates opened to send their populations elsewhere. It was slow of course, but more could be saved if it came down to it.

In orbit the fleet stirred and moved. They were arrayed around the wormhole gate but they opened a path through the fleet. Civilian traffic began to stream towards it as the massive doors yawned wide. One by one they disappeared to emerge outside the Proxima Centauri gate. At the same time the gate around Titan opened and dozens of warships began to emerge, led by 10 unique ships.

They looked like SDF warships - long, low, and graceful - but they were the black of night instead of the beige and brown of the rest of the fleet. No weapon ports yawned on their hulls - they were seamless forms without even a viewport to mar their surface.

Around Mars the fleet launched their fighters, which were joined by fighters from the surface. They flew from their launch bays, forming up into wings and squadrons while began to patrol the edge of the fleet.

Throughout the fleet torpedo loadout's changed as warheads were swapped out for the ultra-heavy variety.

Imperial brass was understandably furious, and demanded much of Wazzu in return. Still, no one was really sure it was them in the first place, but it didn't really matter. Althalon's word was good enough.

Now, he would await the arrival of their delegate. this would prove to be very interesting.

A squadron of Raven fightercraft broke escort formation to form around the Wazzu craft.

"This is Imperial escort squadron Alpha twelve. We're going to take you to the Ali'Staan. Fleet Admiral Amir awaits. Dock at gate 13-C."

With that, the squadron proceeded to guide the Wazzu craft to its designated dock, splitting away at the last second to resume their escort. As the craft came to a landing insode the massive command carrier and the ports were sealed, a platoon of Easterling marines presented themselves, their weapons slung over their shoulder. Striding to the fore, awaiting the Wazzu delegate was Ahadi himself. He stood contemplating the craft, a look of guarded rage on his face.

We have watched the escalations in both shock and dismay. From the initial agression of Auman, to the most recent heinous acts by Wazzu, we are deeply disappointed in the lack of diplomacy and the all too willing use of weapons of mass destruction, and warmongering that has gone on.

While an apology is perhaps acceptable, in the infinitesimally small fact that MIDASII should have installed a clause for this sort of thing, making the actual BODY of MIDASII pay for such compensation is insane. We are as suprised by Wazzu's actions as the rest of the Mars Sphere is, we were not told at all of any nuclear attack. If any compensation, it will come from Wazzu's pocket, not ours. We also would like to know why exactly, we are being blamed for this when evidence shows that MIDASII is still in conference over this ENTIRE issue. Holding us responsible for a unilateral act, when one of MIDASII's pillars was founded on the right of national sovereignty, is absurd.

In short, while we do not speak for the entire MIDASII Body, we staunchly disaprove any sort of compensation from MIDASII excluding, if the body wishes, a verbal apology.

We can't imagine you knew you were hitting us: given the hardware and technology used we're sure you thought you were striking at the Dark Eldar. This does not, however, compensate for the fact that Carcharoth Base has been utterly destroyed.

For this reason, we're not quite as angry with Wazzu as you might think. Furthermore, in light of this misunderstanding, we're willing to make some compromises to keep something like this from happening again.

You'll pardon our transmission--we need to keep up appearances. However, we do find some parts of your terms unacceptable. Here's what I have in mind: The Imperium will immediately cease reinforcements, and subject itself to review by MIDAS forces. Webgates will be closed, and air support will be returned to our shipyards in orbit. Mangala will retain the canal--since they built it-- and the waters immediately to the north and west. If this generous offer by Melkor is accepted I assume Manmen, Lost Americans, and anyone else in Arda currently making a nuisance of themselves in high orbit will go away? I want them gone, they're ruining planetary commerce.

Resolving this issue will not end our involvement in the VC - TY meltdown though. IC Mangala has begun moving small special ops units into the Roan area and letting them loose to see what damage they can do to TY's rear. (details in the morning, too tired now)

We do not see the Snel jumping upon Wazzu for their blatant use of nuclear weaponry. Those who have sworn to protect Mars have become the greatest danger to it. We will observe, but if there is any continued disruption of commerce, or any neutral nations(although they can most likely defend themselves) we may be forced to take a stance in this conflict, which would widen the war to Earth undoubtedly.

While an apology is perhaps acceptable, in the infinitesimally small fact that MIDASII should have installed a clause for this sort of thing, making the actual BODY of MIDASII pay for such compensation is insane. We are as suprised by Wazzu's actions as the rest of the Mars Sphere is, we were not told at all of any nuclear attack. If any compensation, it will come from Wazzu's pocket, not ours. We also would like to know why exactly, we are being blamed for this when evidence shows that MIDASII is still in conference over this ENTIRE issue. Holding us responsible for a unilateral act, when one of MIDASII's pillars was founded on the right of national sovereignty, is absurd.

In short, while we do not speak for the entire MIDASII Body, we staunchly disaprove any sort of compensation from MIDASII excluding, if the body wishes, a verbal apology.

Ironically, Melkor is the victim and any negotiations must be made with that Empire. We stand for neither side in this conflict, but will not ignore the willingness of a nation to resort to weapons of mass destruction as their opening gambit.

We hold the MIDAS organisation responsible until such time as that body either condemns the actions of its member or arranges for appropriate compensations. Again, we don't care how this is achieved so long as it is acceptable to Melkor. Rogue actions by irresponsible nation leaders cannot go unchecked, particularly when the repercussions can have dire consequences on neutral third parties, such as our ally.

Across the various fronts the Air support fled into cover, either back into Space or too the many Airports to refuel, and resupply, the Airbattle had been going for some time now, pilots needed rest and food, the council was ready however to prevent any attempt at following the craft.

Siz Farseers each accompiened by Warlocks stood on the various parts of the Battlefield, and weaved, joining their small weaves to the greater whole. Spirit Stones pulsed with power, and Telgorthrind stood in the center of it all, gathering the different strands into one place and then...

The already fierce winds of the region where whiped into an unnatural frenzy, the very stuff of the universe was being twisted, an unnatural crack in reality had been opened, and the powers of Immaterium entered into the material World, expressing themselves in storms from the depths of hell. In normal weather this would be enough to damage craft, or people unlucky to be in the storm in this Weather the Storm raged uncontested in it's ferocity, to travel in the airs above the contested regions was all but impossible. Those still in the airs would have to seek shelter, and quickly. Underneath this dark blanket the eldar continued their offensive, Now not only Wave Serpents brought forces to the Trenches but Falcon Grav Tanks, and feet. Warwalkers, advanced besides the shapes of the Wraithguard and Lords.

Ahead of them all however swooped the Spears, an elite core of Jetbikers, the Shining Spears not unlike in appearance knoghts of old, they burst through and over the outlaying contested Trenches, driving deep into the heart of the enemy, and although many where lost they sought to strike at the supply lines of the Front Line troopers that defended Vascillia. They aimed to strike deep and fast into the hearts of their foe, before withdrawing into shelter again. Their raids continued for a loing time, eventually the battered and damaged survivors would return to safty.

((Unless intercepted or something 50 Shining Spears are lost, considering they are a small elite force of 250 thats a sizable portion. other losses. another 700 Infantry, 40 Grav Vechicles and 50 Fighters. True...all I ask for this "invite thread" is that the player asks before they enter. If they want to join my side they ask me. If they wish to help Tor they ask him. I just dont want people dropping in...I want to try and keep things clean is all.

Having just seconds before reclaimed their positions of the firing steps of the trench system the men of the 8th Infantry Division were beset on a small front. The speed and the intensity of the attack was devastating to the men...having only just recovered, to face the lightning speed attack of the Shining spears.

320 troopers were killed by the fierce bursts from the Eldar weaponry. Thankfully fresh troops had been deployed down the supply trenches, though not at the appropriate firing positions, hundreds of troops began to set up their weapons and return fire...causing signifigant damage on enemy forces.

Many more troops had been lost to the fury of the Eldar bombardment. Some 450 troops through out the entire Hellespontos line had been killed or injured in the last hour. Casualties like these have not been seen since the Civil war...and will likely not be the last time they will be either.

The order came from high command. Infantry forces belonging to Auman were to redeploy at Position Beta, the secondary defence line designed in the event of enemy overrun. Many such lines were built...giving the infantry plenty of room to back away from the enemy.

Aumans Tank Divisions continued the fight, making good progress through enemy ranks since the arrival of the Norieganians. Having exploited the weakness in the Eldars flanks as best they could the began a rear guard. Falling back to Position Alpha, there they would stage another counter attack into Tor Yvresse troops...assaulting the weakest looking parts of the line, driving though until the situation is no longer tenable.

another 3 Super Heavy's were destroyed and some 24 Main Battle Tanks as well. The Arrival of Overlord Marduks Own 211th Heavy Armoured Division would bolster the assault forces to the point where they would be able to engage the War walkers of the enemy.

Having already depleted their ammunition, many of the Aumanii aircraft had returned to their airbases for refit and refuel. Though many more had remained to engage the enemy. Being swept from the sky along with their stalwart Eldar enemy 112 Auman fighters were destroyed in the Eldritch storm.

Troopers belonging to the Auman Special Weapons division began to channel their pyschic energies, searching for weak points in the enemy front lines...many of them were destroyed as they probed the enemy. 2 psykers belonging to the Special Weapons division exploded, injuring many of their comrades with chips of bone and teeth.

"These ones are strong. These men have never come across such accomplished pyskers...though they will prevail, they must."

They're hell-bent on denying the Imperium a Mars colony, and you damn well know it. While we understand you seek peace on mars, we cannot abide inept leadership like Marduk's to go unabated. We've offered peace to Auman several times, and they've refused. It cannot be argued that they instigated hostilities, and we have a right to dominate them to whatever ends we see fit. Such are the rules of war. Our differences may be irreconcileable as it were, so negotiations would likely accomplish little.

Furthermore, making an agreement with MIDAS contingent upon an agreement with Vascillia makes about as much sense as trying to circumsize a eunuch. They're seperate alliances and should be treated as such. If it's the safety of Mars that you're interested in, perhaps it would be a prudent first step to drop the nukes."

The LRR 43rd, 16th, 55th, and 35th marine batallions had by now been deployed to a staging area behind the front lines, along with the support of 50 Main Battle Tanks. Anti-tank cannons are also carried by the marines on a formation level. The marines begin to move foreward twoards the nearest line of trenches, things not looking good with the newest TY attack.

"Aumanii foreward command post, this is Sub-Commander Yalta of the 55th LRR marine batallion. We have 500 troops and 10 Main battle Tanks. Where would we be of most use to you? You look like you took heavy casualties in the recent attack."

The marines lay on the ground, the tanks interdispersed within the groups of infantry. The marines check their weapons and ammunition. Medics prepare their first-aid kits, and the next round of dropships is schedueled to bring in a field hospital.

Telgorthrind smiled as his orders where carried out, the enemy had been getting things far too easy up intil now. Reports where coming in through that they where falling back, although the fighting had been furious, now they had retreated to a second line of defences.

'Move the Shadow Weavers and Vibro cannons forwards, Half an hour of bombardment of this new enemy position, to be followed up by a full scale Striking Scorpion assult. The 1st Dire Avengers are to act as support on the assult. Also I am tasking 40 Wraithguard to the assult. I want a portion of the new line cleared.' A Moments pause and Telgorthrind smiled 'Khaine will join this next assult personally. Let the Mon-Keigh know fear Khaine is coming.'

((OOC LLR, at the moment actual Air combat has been sidelined... the Eldritch storm+the already hideous weather conditions mean it will be some time before for Air combat to become avaible... As a side note the Shadow weave is a strange technology. I'll givethe Codex explanation. 'creates a dense monofiliment mesh... woven into a dense web like clouds.' Quite litually this ripos into Flesh and turns the insides into Mush. Although not great against Armoured targets for the obvious reason, Infantry with exposed body parts are in for some hell... The Vibro cannon is exactly what it says on the Tin a weapon that uses vibrations to do it's damage. A Vast section of the Trenches is under fire here. There is roughly 200 of each Grav Weapon Platform firing at the defenders. and behind them the next assult is gathering.

Meanwhile, even more gunships from Kajal Mars had arrived, disgorging their troops before taking to the skys on repulsorlift alone. Flight, even at the altitude of mere meters, was difficult with any thruster support whatsoever. The additional troops and gunships compensated roughly for what had been lost, and they skimmed across the terrain behind the advancing Eldar force, firing their weapons into the flank of the army. Granted, it wasn't exactly undefended, but they WERE concentrating on the push forward past the defensive lines, and any new troops from Kajal Mars would be coming in behind them anyways.

However, if there was one thing that Kajal Mars could do, it may as well be mentioned.

Advanced Deterrence is sometimes helpful. But not always.

OOC: Nearly all of Kajal Mar's forces are protected by some form of armor, whether it be gunship armor plating, cerafibre uniforms and masks, gloves, etc, or powered armor.

However, due to Kajal Mars' geographical position, the majority of the reinforcements I've sent in so far are on your army's flank, methinks. Unless they flew around the other way, I'm pretty sure I've got fire going into your backside. ^_^;;

The sequence began. Along the bottom of the Fleet's heavy units, ports opened, and then, they fired. But not weapons.

Drop capsules burned downward. One salvo, then another, then another, until five thousand marines blazed downward.

Their formations target drop zone, by company, were between the Eldar lines and those of the Kajal, as well as behind the Kajal.

They penetrated the atmosphere.......

The Bajoni dropships made a sharp turn, heading south instead of back to Bajon. The weather was fierce, but the ships blasted through like missiles.

The dropships landed, rather roughly, letting off several hundred APM's, and the Mobile Infantry. Clouds of dust swirled around them, as the soldiers switched over to thermal vision and continued on foot to the Tor Yvressens.

The flying barge hit the head of the storm some 150 kliks north of the Noachian Inferno Station, suddenly finding itself engulfed in scouring sands. Flying low, it wasn't much of a target for lighting, but the static charge in the air impaired the electrokinetics- it was flying on jet engines alone.

In another three hours, the dust began to clear, and the barge, now colored red and with an engine down from the dust, began flying over the icecap.

There was a general transmission to General Marduk, by the only Kajali who seemed to talk on the air these days.

"I am.. sorry, but we can't risk staying any longer. As you well know, our nation is located in an area that has in the past been noted to be one of the better locations to claim on Mars, however, with Tor Yvresse bordering us, it is a very likely thing that they would simply invade with more troops then we could defend against ourselves. We regret that we must withdraw, but by doing so we live to fight again another day... Unfortunately, we cannot reach the front lines to evacuate the remainder of our troops there, but they are authorized to seek refugee or citizen status in the Vascilian League. It's the best we can do..."

The Kajal Mars troops began to withdraw, and were soon off the battlefield, except for those who were already within Vascilian territory. Those few would continue fighting, and if they were lucky, they would die as Vascilians, and not rebel Kajali.

"You want MIDAS protection but will not stop your assault?" Rebecca Moores asked amazed, "Exactly what kind of peace is that? That sounds more like puppetering. If you want none to take your land then you will take the land of none.

I would think it in Melkors best interest's for Tor Yvresse and Auman to chew each other up in this trench war...considering that TY is good pals with Menelmacar. Now the Melkors acceptance into the Duma is pending I think it would be smartest to wait till the next session to start fighting each other.

From the looks of things I sided with the wrong deity. The minions of Menelmacar seem to be fools, where Melkors friends are more level headed and intelligent(Barring Bajon;)

The LRR 43rd, 16th, 55th, and 35th marine batallions had by now been deployed to a staging area behind the front lines, along with the support of 50 Main Battle Tanks. Anti-tank cannons are also carried by the marines on a formation level. The marines begin to move foreward twoards the nearest line of trenches, things not looking good with the newest TY attack.

"Aumanii foreward command post, this is Sub-Commander Yalta of the 55th LRR marine batallion. We have 500 troops and 10 Main battle Tanks. Where would we be of most use to you? You look like you took heavy casualties in the recent attack."

The marines lay on the ground, the tanks interdispersed within the groups of infantry. The marines check their weapons and ammunition. Medics prepare their first-aid kits, and the next round of dropships is schedueled to bring in a field hospital.

The reply came from Vascilian Military High Command, it was short and terse "LRR Forces, you are to be deployed along side Kajalan troops. Contact their appropriate V.C.O.'s for deployment orders."

Marduk sat in his throne, stone faced. He couldn't believe what he had been hearing. Menelmacar joins the war against Vascilia...the sworn enemy of Melkor fighting one who should be his friend. Suddenly, Marduk took up his pistol and began firing upon the Vid screen that had been relaying the news.

Melkor, the only nation that seemed to be the only leveled headed one in all the galaxy besides the inherently useless ones of MIDAS. Concerned for his well being, the generals staff had convinced Marduk to rest. Such behaviour was not becoming of him, he had just reminded them in that moment of the Founder...though if it were he, the targets would have been them.

Marduk had slept heavily, dreams had run about his mind...dark penetrating ones. Though disturbed by what was going on in his mind he had become interested by what the dreams had spoken to him.

"They were strong, why is it? because...they did not cling to the morals that you have forced upon your people. Marduk, speak to Melkor. Discuss with them the peace that is deserved between your two great nations." Marduk had reviled the words spoken "NEVER!" the eye spoke, "Then, you give us no choice." the eye imploded, a massive black hole had begun to envelop the mountain top. Marduk, powerless to defend himself was drawn to the laceration...Lost forever.

The next day Marduk had awoken, a scowl upon his usually cheery face. Prepared for the day he had an unusual item added to his wardrobe...the seal of someone, something unknown to Mars.

The Noble 3rd had come under attack by the red armoured minions of the Yvresse. 9 Main Battle tanks had been destroyed before the divisions infantry forces could react.

Being informed of the positions of the enemy before they could properly close to effective range the division turned to destroy the Red Dragons. 800 Infantry closed to fight with them, turning the machine guns and squad portable plasma cannons upon them in haste they prove that the skill and ability of their Division was unmatched by any of those on Mars...the coming battle would draw into the next day with many on either side being killed.

Speaking with the ethereal voice only possessed of a psyker Marduk began to speak "The nations of good are weaklings and cowards. It seems as though my league made a grave mistake in its dealings with you...we were mistaken as to the true form of evil in this galaxy, the nations of "good" claim more of the qualities of the term...The nationstate of Auman officially apologises for its actions against your nation and hopes for our future encounters to be much more pleasant."

Marduk had looked distatefully upon the heap of bodies that lay before his throne.

A reply issued forth from the approaching flying barge. Kajali troops, upon deployment of our forces, all who can get here are authorized to take passage back to Kajal with us.

Flying across the pole over Tannelorn and Auman, the barge set down some 10 kilks back from the line, opened the cargo bay doors, and began unloading. 20 Entopters- those wouldn't be much use in the bad weather- 500 gundrones, 100 Centipedes, 5 walking tanks, and uncounted minidrones, leafcutters mostly. But these were just what could be seen. Silently and stealthily, the successors of SF1 floated out and began patrolling the battlescene, entirely invisible to all but x-ray examination.

The LRR batallions move across the battlefield to join up with the remaining Kajal troops. MBTs provide support, firing their plasma cannons at the TY lines and then changing their position in a bid to evade artillery fire. The infantry piles on top of the LRR recon cars and light tanks, and the convoy of troops and vehicles advances twoards the Kajal positions. The marines soon reach the Kajal trenches, and jump off their vehicles into the lines. They aim their plasma rifles and antitank missiles at the TY lines, ready for another attack. SBSW-3 support weapons are also deployed along with the LRR marines, which give them a very strong defensive capability. Mortars are set up behind the trenches and aimed about 100 meters out in front of the Vascillian lines. The recon cars do not stick around long, and soon take up observational positions a good 2,000 meters behind the lines. The marines dig in and wait for the TY attack.

Currently deployed along the Kajal trenches:

2,000 marines w/plasma rifles, antitank missiles, and full body armor about .5 in thick
32 infantry support tanks (hovertanks w/backup wheels) armed with a medium repeater plasma cannon and SBSW-3 infantry support weapon
12 80mm rocket-boosted mortars/RPGs (Three trooper crew)

Elsewhere.....

A flight of seven dropships struggles through the stormfront, not more than 60 feet from the martian surface in an attempt to get below enemy sensors. They carry the marines' artillery support, as well as part of the 1st medical brigade. They fly at full throttle, buffetted by turbulence and gale-force winds. The pilots rely completely on their instrumentation to navigate the storm, and even then the entire LRR fighter force had been forced to turn back. The dropships finally emerge from the storm, covered in red dust kicked up by the high winds. They maintain their low altitude, and speed into the battle area at 350 knots.

"Ok, the drop zone is about a kilometer northwest. We'll deposit everything there."
"Roger that lead."
"DZ this is Idaho flight, inbound from base. We've got the artillery and the medical support, over."

The crackled response comes back from the makeshift ground control inside a modified recon car.

"Roger that Idaho flight. Yer clear to land. Beware of sporadic ground fire, over."
"Roger that, control. We're coming in now, over."

The dropships climb over a small bluff and arrive over the small landing pad that was the drop zone. One by one, starting with lead, they land. Idaho lead sets down upon its four heavy-duty landing legs, engines still going, and deposits the first two Uller systems, which drive off the ramp and down to the battlefield. Idaho lead then pulls away and makes room for the next ships. Idaho 2, 3, 4, and 5 deposit the rest of the Uller systems, which join the first two in the area of the Aumanii and Kajali artillery. Idaho six deposits the medical staff, who scurry out of the dropship and into waiting medivac vehicles, the same chassis as the recon car but without weapons and adorned with red crosses. Idaho seven deploys four antimissile batteries, also on the common recon car chassis but with a missile and minigun turret. The dropships then return to base, back through the storm.

Over the battlefield, several orinthopters had been launched, and loiter above LRR and Kajali positions as mortar liasons. Some are adorned with red crosses and make fast, swooping landings near trenches and gun outposts, whisking away wounded personell.

The 3rd Heavy Armoured had faced an all out assault by the Eldar scum, 18 main battle tanks had been lost in a 24 hour period, 1 Supery Heavy destroyed when a group of Fire Dragons managed to sneak past the Mechanized infantry and set charges upon it. Another Super heavy was lightly damaged by the same infiltrators when they turned their rifles on it. The infantry had managed to chase them off...causing some casualties(obviously)

Lord General Zavier had been summoned to Marduks throne room, he had no reason why he had been called away from his duties so suddenly, Marduk knew how important he was. When Zavier entered the Antechambre. It was strange. Where were the guards? and Polosh...Polosh always met guests. Zavier drew his pistol and checked the magazine. Warily, he approached the 40 metre tall doors leading to Marduks chambers, as he reached out the doors suddenly flung open. Marduk, or someone resembling him was sitting in the throne, his cape draped over him, revealing only his face. "Zavier...its been so long, my son." it spoke with a million voices, the sound had dropped Zavier to his knee's Zavier looked up at the figure, he had rose to his feet and began walking down the steps of the throne to him. "Father?! no...this is impossible." Zavier collapsed fully to the ground.

The Hellespontos Guard had finally been deployed, Their commander Cornwallis Hirno was to lead 8000 of his men in behind the 3rd Heavy Armoured division. They had faced the most opposition, and that is where the enemy would be broken.

Armed with the finest weapons that Vascilia has to offer, trained to the utmost degree in the arts of war, they poured in behind the armour like locusts. Devouring anything that lay in their path. Excelling in Close Quarters Combat, they closed in with the enemy slaughtering many in their path. 4 of these troops were killed by the bombardment of the eldar foe.

The 3rd Heavy Armoured had faced an all out assault by the Eldar scum, 18 main battle tanks had been lost in a 24 hour period, 1 Supery Heavy destroyed when a group of Fire Dragons managed to sneak past the Mechanized infantry and set charges upon it. Another Super heavy was lightly damaged by the same infiltrators when they turned their rifles on it. The infantry had managed to chase them off...causing some casualties(obviously)

Lord General Zavier had been summoned to Marduks throne room, he had no reason why he had been called away from his duties so suddenly, Marduk knew how important he was. When Zavier entered the Antechambre. It was strange. Where were the guards? and Polosh...Polosh always met guests. Zavier drew his pistol and checked the magazine. Warily, he approached the 40 metre tall doors leading to Marduks chambers, as he reached out the doors suddenly flung open. Marduk, or someone resembling him was sitting in the throne, his cape draped over him, revealing only his face. "Zavier...its been so long, my son." it spoke with a million voices, the sound had dropped Zavier to his knee's Zavier looked up at the figure, he had rose to his feet and began walking down the steps of the throne to him. "Father?! no...this is impossible." Zavier collapsed fully to the ground.

The Hellespontos Guard had finally been deployed, Their commander Cornwallis Hirno was to lead 8000 of his men in behind the 3rd Heavy Armoured division. They had faced the most opposition, and that is where the enemy would be broken.

Armed with the finest weapons that Vascilia has to offer, trained to the utmost degree in the arts of war, they poured in behind the armour like locusts. Devouring anything that lay in their path. Excelling in Close Quarters Combat, they closed in with the enemy slaughtering many in their path. 4 of these troops were killed by the bombardment of the eldar foe.



Total Losses:

-450 infantry.
-4 Hellespontos Guardsman.
-18 MBT's.
-1 Super Heavy.

OOC actually Bajon, you are only ignored in ground war, you and i have a date in space as it were and go ahead and post here to continue the battle above. you have to be able to bring troops in and to do that you have to get past 500 ships of my fleet or 5/6th's of the entire thing!!!!! thats quite a bit of firepower....so a ground landing is highly unlikely thats why you have been ignored in ground war..but not space war. YOu have to get there is what we are saying lol

The LRR Uller MLSs are soon deployed, and ready for their first targets. Crews finish loading the last missiles, and the launch pods swing skyward.

"Aumanii CP, this is Ballista 1. Looks like you've been having some trouble in your sector. Do you need missile support, over?"
"We're targeted."
"Ok. We don't want to launch before we have 100% damage potential to the TY forces. We might be the recipiant of some nasty return fire from their batteries."

On the LRR trenches, the marines fight to hold the line, trying their best to beat back the assaults by Tor forces. The marines, while highly trained, did not have much experience with ground combat. To offset this, some of Duke Lenni XXXVIII's men, members of the famous 1st infantry column, are interdispersed with the marines, giving them advice and reliable command.

"Sir, there's some Eldar gathering about 2km in front of us."
"Ok, all troops! Ready your weapons! Gunners, set your cannons for area-effect anti infantry. Use the shotgun effect to your advantage. Open fire when the Eldars reach 67 meters of you. All the rest of you troopers, open fire once in range. We want to keep these guys as far away as possible. Ammo's not an issue."

A pair of infantry support tanks nudge right up to the back edge of the marine trenches.

"Ah, the tank support. How long ago did you arrive?"
"About an hour, sir!"
"Ok. Try to find some cover among the rocks. If an attack is mounted, you won't survive long in the open. Set your cannons to area effect."

LRR medical teams scour the battlefield for wounded, and load them onto Orinthopters and medevac vehicles for the trip to the LRR field hospital. Aumanii, Kajali, and Tor Yvresse troops alike are all handled with utmost care by the LRR medics, some of the best. However, the medics have taken heavy losses operating in the area between the two lines. so far, out of 500 medics, 32 have been injured or killed, and two Orinthopters shot down.

Commander Jon Howard (M.D.) circles above the battlefield in his Orinthopter, adorned with big red crosses. In the back, it carries two wounded Eldar troopers being transpoted to the field hospital.

I know exactly what Striking scorpions can do. 1/3rd of my army is here in Hellespontos, 2/3rds of Noriegania's armed forces are here. Ive put up with this retarded RP for awhile. Carpentaria base was on full alert, 8 divisions [200 000] of Tannelorn knights formed up alongside the 211th Auman Armoured division, the Nachtwanzer Walking tanks ran gracefully on their reverse aritculated legs, the light glinting of the PArticle beams cannons that served as arms.
Behind them lumbered the Bacow class heavy Walking tank, on its 6 large legs and twin turreted X-Ray laser projector. hundreds of these metal beasts alongside their graceful cousins was a menacing sight, as they moved just behind the auman Tanks...though the most frightening sight of all was the Tannelorn knights themselves, cloaked in their heavy power armour, laser rifles in hand, and plasma blades secured in their scabbards.....as they left the gates of Carpentaria alongside the armour of Auman and Tannelorn.....It was not how many of them....but the fact that they kept pace with the Armour at full run....This massive column of troops and armour advanced under full artillery cover from the massive Fortifications that was Carpentaria and the Hellespontos Defense line....straight towards the Eldar lines....seeking to silence the foul alien Artillery once and for all.

ooc ok and for any of you who thinks we cant win....RP is RP and well macedonia with a population of no greater then 400 000 took over the world....conquering nations totalling over 48 million. In fact he did conquer india as my East indian Comparative Civilisations teacher corrected me. thats another 20 million...all from 400 000 people/ now this was at a time when numbers meant everything...simply put.....35 000 men back then was the equivalent of having 500 men now....even with the same pop...no guns....means desperate battles are way harder to win...yet they did...dont think you are just going to crush us...it is way harder then you think....we ARE NOT IRAQ.....period we arent we are alot more like Russia or china...the same tech...and comparable training and military sizes....we just dont have your population.

Now a note is the armour of a tannelorn division is 300 Nachtwanzer 200 of the Bacow. Also they are supported by 250 Morgenraete Fighters...essentially a humanoid ffighter...they can hover on the ground like a hover tank and are massively maneuverable..they are giant robots though 38 feet tall heavily armed and armoured with thre types of beam cannon arm and a massive payload of missile and HV gatling guns...this means nothing really but its for effect...its legs fold back and the body faces forward and the thing can fly as a interceptor...mach 12 interceptor lol...this is just for effect on the posting and means little really. these are the mainstay of the Tannelorn fleet and Army.

Thats the problem Auman I have stated who is actually going into the Trenches Dire Avengers and Striking Scorpions. I only use my gaurdians in a defensive role. You cannot reintrepret my posts to include forces not there!

As for my bringing allies in THATS why I have them. I'm sick of this idea, and it's not you, I've seen others, that Wars have to be fair! They don't, Now I won't get into a huge argument, this is my last post on this matter. I've stated I have IC reasons for doing this, I've also stated that I won't share them, I've seen far to many plans be scuppered because suddenly someone speaks OOCly to the wrong people... and the people the plot is aimed against suddenly know what is going on. I have now a standard policy, on matters of IC secrecy such as this, where the other person does not need to know what is going on, i don't tell them. I actually 100% trust OOCly the person this plot in particular is aimed against but I won't tell them, because of my policy. Now I'm going to take an hours break from this War then post ICly.

Now as for your troops being good, yes they may be, mine are excellent. I have actually done a Army generator for NS, although it's still Work in progress, and everytime I have selected EXCELENT training and Excellent Infantry. My Ground Forces are second to no nation of equal size, and I've been through some Hellish wars with them. Many of these forces Invaded Melkor and make progress, many of these forces fought the last war, many of these forces fought against NGEN here on mars.

A small corp of these soldiers even held the beaches against Kal way back before you where created. Thats only counting the huge wars they have been in, they have been kept in Battle condition by fighting against Elvish abusers for decades. I'd say a good 60-70% of this force are veteran's.

Your bombardment is not going to be accurate, Atrocious weather conditions+general speed of my forces makes it hard to get a lock on.

If you were to tell me who this is aimed at, and what the point of it is! the argument would be non-existant. The only people I talk to about plot twists are Noriegania and Tannelorn. But thats only because I know them in person, and I know they wont talk to anyone.

So, Im only being difficult with you guys because I dont want my RP to be ended prematurely. I have a method to make the Alliance between Melkor and Menelmacar believeable, but If I lose immediately than its not going to work.

There are 8 lines of defense not including the wall itself. The first line fell back, you would know that if you read the post. The Armour divisions moved to the first line to hold off the enemy for as long as possible. To aid them, the Hellespontos Guard launched a counter attack. They live in Hellespontos. They grew up in the landscape. They've been in the army their whole lives...trained in the methods of trench combat. They are the elite of the elite of Auman, and possibly Vascilia in this roll.

They've grown accustomed to trench fight...and 8000 troops taking 4 casualties is good when you see that your bombardment is spread across almost a million 'Auman' Infantry.

So, tell me what the hell is going on OOC and I'll go along with it. If you dont there will be more of this. Hell, if you tell me I might be able to work it into my RP. Got it? I dont talk to other nations in this game about other peoples rp anyway.

(OOC: In all this arguing, TY seems to have forgotten that he is not only fighting Auman and Tannelorn's elite, but Kaseian forces as well. And if anyone else read the SF1 threads a couple months back, you know that they're pretty powerful.)

The microdrones scuttled over the Hellespontus landscape like micromechanical insects and arachnids, gathering information as they weaved back and forth between various combatants. Those that began arriving on the Tor Yvressan side set to work on their secondary function- Gremlinizing equipment.

Meanwhile, the gundrones buzzed over the trenches, providing cover fire for the Auman troops, firing off mission-kill shots at incoming artillery. Behind these, originally quicksilver but now stained reddish brown segmented Centipede drones slithered across the landscape- as of yet, these did nothing but look menacing.

The five walking tanks quickly scuttled across the wartorn terrain on eight insectile legs, stepping or jumping clear over trenches in the search for wounded combatants. Each contained a compliment of five Kaseian Heploneiet for the purpose of retreiving the bodies. As they neared the front lines, double-barrel medium-bore cannons began lobbing burning napalm at the enemy ranks.

The true terrors of the battlefield would be the Wellstone Ships. Morphing into the shapes of high-speed fighter/bombers, with jagged edges and swept-back wings, the Specter, Ghost, and Phantasm poured DU machine gun rounds into the Eldar ranks as they dived, before sharply pulling up again to circle round for another run. The Phantom retained its cloak of invisibility, hovering high above the storm and observing the battle through multi-spectrum eyes.

OOC: I have kinda lost track of what is going on, but I agree this isn't 40k, and even if it was every unit in the game is made with it's strengths and weakness'.


IC: Lt. Col. Gonzolez reached top combat speed with his Command Company. The SAMUS Division formed a well organized formation in the skies. The ETA was less than a minute, Lt. Col. Gonzolez could see the Eastern sector of the Main Wall. Gonzolez's Combat Computer in the powered armour locked the first target a Tor Yvresse elite flying infantry known as "Swooping Hawks". Through the breaks in the clouds, the soldiers on the ground could see the sky as it was peppered by SAMUS suits and Swooping Hawks engaged in Aerial Infantry Combat.

On the ground, the trench fighting was less then honorable, as xenos soldiers would gain ground, then be pushed back by reinforcements. This is what the conditions were like since the NNDF were deployed into the Earthworks.

*A blast went off behind Sgt. Manez which threw him to the ground in his Power Armour. He noticed on his HUD that his unit he had been leading to reinforce a forward trench line had been cut down by the explosion. He grabbed his NK-203c assault rifle from the ground, and took a glance at the bloody mess of his unit. Following his orders he continued, "1 soldier can still make a difference." he thought. There was a Trench cross-road about 20m ahead of him, suddenly as if out of no where, he came under shuriken fire. Off balance, he stumbled backwards and regained his footing, the spray of shurikens hit him across the chest, some still protruding from the power armour. The Combat CPU targeted the attacker at the Cross-Road, it was classified as a "Guardian", this information did not matter to Sgt. Manez and he moved forward and returned fire. Spraying the xenos creature with his assault rifle, the Eldar was twisted around and fell face down into the earth. Closing the gap between himself and the junction, he was hit again with shuriken fire and once again was saved by his shoulder plate which was torn apart. This attacker was in Close Quarters striking range, and with a swift motion caved him the Eldars helmet with the skeleton stock of his rifle. Manez felt the sting in his right arm as a xenos combat knife peirced his upper-arm, with a downward blow to the attackers helmet, upon which it slumped against the wall of the trench. The Sgt. made his way through two more alien filth, the last one was struck so hard with the rifle butt it became lodged in it's skull/helmet and the rifle was discarded. Now he came face to face with an Eldar brandishing a pistol and a sword, the Alien sprung at Manez with lightning speed, the sword, would it not have been for the model of power armour, would have taken his head clean off of his shoulders, but in stead buried itself in the right shoulder plate. Upon Command he deployed the three built in spikes on his gauntlet, taking the creature by the face with his power armoured palm, he drove his fist into the Eldars head with a powerful punch. The Alien body went limp and dropped to the ground, Manez retracted the combat spikes out of the aliens head. Exhausted he leaned against the trench wall and slid to the ground, he ordered the computer to administer a dose of morphine and then removed his helmet. Sitting amongst the dead enemy he knew they were not the only ones in the area, more would come, alone, and wounded he would not last another attack. "1 good soldier" he thought again, and with a smirk place his helmet back on his head, the CPU automatically targeted an enemy down the trench line about 70m away, sitting there exhausted he drew his NK-USP and stood once again waiting for them.

*this in no way interprets what all my soldiers were doing, just a story of 1 good soldier*

I think Im going to clear up what is going on so far in the battle:

-Auman troops were forced to fall back to the 2nd, of 8 defence lines.
-2 Armoured divisions fell back to the first to reclaim it, joined by a counter push from the Hellespontos Guard the trench seems like it will be retaken, though not without alot of blood being spilled.
-Tannelorns troops in Carpentaria go active. Striking into the heart of Tor Yvresse forces.
-Norieganian troops manage to hold its section of the first defense line.
-211th Armoured division has arrived, though with out Overlord Marduk.
-Eldar troops, being successful in the Aumanii trench line try to exploit this weakness.
-Hellespontos Defence Wall remains relatively untouched. Continues its bombardment of the enemy...with some difficulty due to weather.
-Bajon lands troops and equipment in the rear of Tor Yvresse.
-Tor Yvresse repositions War Engines and other vehicles to a safer position, possibly waiting for counter attack.
-Kasei troops support Vascilians as they struggle to keep the entire first line.
-Tor Yvresse struggling to consolidate their victories in the Aumanii section of the western defences, though they still remain unable to at this time.

This battle wont be over in a few posts. It will take many...the war wont end in this thread either, they've bought themselves a full scale war.

Slowly the Eldar began to withdraw the first major push of the second line having exhausted the troops, continued bombardment from the Wall was not helping. It was not a retreat, and could not be seen as anything like a retreat, it was a temporary withdrawal. As they fell back demolition crews went to work and the Trenches where met with more Plasma charges in many places. In other places motion sensors where used in tandomn with the charges, so that when league forces moved forwards to retake positions lost they exploded. Much of the places taken by the Eldar where in ruins as they fell back towards the first line of trenches, and safty.

The council was not overly disappointed they had made the progress they had hoped to, and the enemy lines would be in disarray for some time to come. Let night turn into day, and a new day start. The Eldritch storm had ran it's course as the night came on, and the weather of Mars slowly returned to normal, before long the Air warfare would start again, now a small unit of craft had been slipped in from Tor Yvresse, They where actually intended for the Harlequins fleet, and it's carriers and numbered a small unit of Fifty vampire Fighter/Bombers only. Looking no different from the usual design their use here would set the council back Months on the planned Fleet but they could cause a surprise to the enemy.

Midnight exactly the Airwar would start again as the fighters and Bombers raced into the sky and down from Outerspace, from everycorner of the Tor Yvressian Land. 800 Craft after the casualties of the previous Airwar, and the reinforcements of the current where taken into account. And the Harlequin craft took o the air with the main wing joinging with the Fighter Escorts they sought Targets...

The Target tonight was that Wall, they would bombard it with all they had for the night, even as the Vaul Engines pushed on the surface. Although no infantry push the aim here once more to disrupt and destroy Trench lines of the League, and of course to keep the league's soldiers awake for the night. Although of course the Eldar where also often found awake, as the Fire Dragons continued their Hunt for Tanks, and the escorting Direavengers, protected them from the infantry that accompiened the Leagues roving regiments.

Another change to the tactics of the council was also introduced that night, the enemy had commanders, soldiers require and trust their officers, the council spent much of the night in mediatation seeking the minds of front line officers,and where they found them, the battle of wills began. The mindwar would begin, where they succed all that the soldiers would see was their commanders scream in pain before collapsing dead, where they failed the council simply moved on.

Note on the Harlequin Fighters, I started the test drive for this fleet a week ago, the fighters are so far the only craft to have actually been made from the new production run on the main fleet. They are using Holo-Tech and I will be covering what they do in a while. We have withdrawn until the rest of the forces in this war can deploy, because I seem to be bearing the brunt of the fighting.))

The Bajoni vanguard forces met with the Tor Yvresse troops as they fell back. The Bajoni APM's strengthened the line to make sure no ground or air forces would get through. The Mobile Infantry were stationed further back, giving more guard support with convoys and vehicles and the such.

More forces were sent for, including a plethora of rocket racks, SAM banks, and others.

More APM's were sent for as well. Bajoni remote fighters were ordered to prepare for an ariel campaign once the weather passed.

The Fleet had not been engaged. One of the New Enemies had pulled back.

The Ground Element had not been engaged either. Losses were minimal due to the storm. Four thousand nine hundred seventy-nine units had made it safely to the ground.

They would be forced to redeploy. The time loss was acceptable. It would allow for unit reorganization due to losses.

The Ground Element advanced towards the battle between the New Enemies and the Old.

ooc ok well the Tor moved back...hmm ok.

As the Tannelorn elements realized their enemies were attempting to escape them, General Bartfeldt ordered them to full combat Speed to chase them. A few hundred tannelorn and a few dozen Armoured units had already fallen due to enemy fire....now as the jump jets were engaged on the Nacht wanzer and Tannelorn Knights....they approacehd the line at lightning speed...bounding through the air, touching the ground only long enough to activate their jets again....the 200 000 men of the Eight Tannelorn Knight divisions impacted in to the Bajonni Reserve moving up to cover the Tor Yvressan Retreat. 500 Morgenraete Fighters broke off from their duels with the nightwings to engage the Drone fighters of bajon, clouds of missiles and hails of high energy beam weapons filling the sky above the battlefield. a further 200 Morgenraetes dropped to the ground, to support the Advance of the Knights, by attacking the enemy from behind.

"Knight militants, prepare for close combat, no quarter!" Colonel Zeretsi bellowed over the Vox. Activating his massive plasma blade he jumped in to the fray, hundreds of the men of his company following him in to the Teeth of the enemy positions, here and there Tannelorn were dropping, but this close to the Enemy the Firepower they faced was lessoned. A Morgenraete shot past, moving with a grace and agility not expected by such a bulky frame, Particle beam blasts and Hyper velocity machine gun fire filled the air, mercilessly raking the enemy positions, the nacht wanzers stomped through the enemy positions, crushing and destroying anything that would not fall back....The casualties were mounting but far less then were expected...the ploy of moving amongst the armour had mercifully reduced the amount of fire centered on teh Tannelorn troops....but this is what the Knights of Tannelorn trained for....this is what they were born to do...to bring the enemy to fight on the field of battle and destroy them utterly.....



ooc ok the knights are not exactly my elite of the elite...they are good, out of my 8 million strong armed forces they make up 1.2 million troops...but they are Elite troops...its the 60 000 strong Naval troopers that are REALLY scary lol. Ok i am off for now.

The necron fleet watched the chaos on Mars. On the flagship Vigilance of Death the nightbringer was amused by it all. He held a clawed, withered hand over one of the many devices in the sepulcure, activating a transmitter, signalling the eldar ship that seemed to be a flagship. "Eldar council, I have been ordered to place myself and this fleet at your disposal, should your first ground advance falter," he said, sounding very displeased about the very concept, "As such, we await your orders..."

Over 400 black gunships flew over the pole to reinforce Auman's troops, while an additional 600 deployed behind and around the enemies. Behind the lines, the Eniqciri were somewhat suprised.

These black gunships matched the descriptions of those that fled the Noachia base after a certain weapon had been tested.

(OOC: Only those behind the lines would know this next part. These are Kajal's Black Ops forces, after all.)

One of the black gunships landed near the command center, and out came General Murasi Shenar, who had lead the prior Kajali attack. He headed over to the commanding officer in the command center.

"I apologize that we pulled out like that. However, we found ourselves between two hostile forces, which is never good.

On another note... The mining array will be in position to fire on the battlefield in less then fifteen minutes. We will attempt to keep the majority of the enemy forces outside the lines, but it's going to get a bit hellish when that array fires."

Meanwhile, 50,000 fresh troops from Kajal deployed among Auman's forces, and these were no ordinary troops - these were Kajal Mars' elites.

Fire into the flanks of the enemy armies resumed as the rather convenient advantage of being located where aircraft would be able to fly in behind was used.

Hundreds of Kajali fighters took to the air once again, followed by waves of plasma bombers. They would begin their runs on the enemy's tanks and other heavy support momentarily.

With the storm finally dying, the flying barge disgorged its last occupants, the Entopters. Smaler than the S&R versions recently deployed in Kajal, they were unmanned- no sense risking the lives of pilots when technology can replace them. Consequently, they took full advantage of their manueverability, pulling strafes and turns that would've killed a human operator as the swarm buzzed over the trenches and dodged artillery fire and flak to engage the enemy ranks.

OCC: It looks like TY has forgotten to engage my troops, so I'll assume they've taken casualties through the attacks on Kajali lines. They are deployed along with the Kajali forces.

IC:

The LRR marines try their absolute hardest to hold the line, and seem to be succeeding. LRR mortar teams fire their weapons into the new TY line, as accurately as possible for an old weapon like the 85mm mortars they use. Casualties have been around 5% for the LRR marines, as they have not yet been faced with a specific attack as of yet. LRR medical teams continue to extract casualties from the battlefield, and there is always a medical orinthopter over the battlefield. The shipment of the other 6,000 marines has been delayed by the weather, as the conditions could not be withstood by the smaller assault landing craft. But with the end of the storm in sight, pilots board their craft, and LRR marines scramble into the troop bays of their landing craft. Even with this new influx of troops, Duke Lenni XXXVIII is justly concerned about his troops' ability to hold the line.

"They just aren't trained for this, fred."
"I know, sir. But we must trust their ability to at least hold out."
"That's just the thing. These marines are trained as peacekeepers, not full-fledged combat troops. If it comes to close range combat with the Eldars, they will be cut to ribbons!"

Above them, an orinthopter falls from the sky, struck by weapons fire from the Eldar trenches. Its crew ejects from the striken craft, but come down in close proximity to the TY line. The orinthopter itself crashes about 120 feet in front of them.

Elsewhere.....

A medical orinthopter screams over the battlefield at low level. It arrives at the Kajal trenches, and makes a skidding landing behind the line. A pair of medics jump out of the back door and run over to the trench.

"Do you have any casualties? If you do, we are prepared for immediate medevac to the field hospital!"

"INCOMING!!!!!"

A beam of <insert weapons fire here> strikes Grizzly 13. It is pushed back from its firing position by the force of the blast, and struggles to remanouver itself.

"Main plasma cannon damaged! Right repulsor array operating at 25% and dropping!"

Before long, the repulsor array quits out completely, and the tank drops to the ground. The other vehicles of MBT squadron 1 (25 tanks, advancing with the Norieganian forces) continue to move foreward.

"OUT OUT OUT!!!"

The tank's four-man crew climbs up onto the turret and down to the martian surface. They then proceed to run back to friendly lines, running twoards the Aumanii trenches.

"Don't shoot! We're LRR!"




The LRR marines continue to beat off Eldar raids, but start to run low on ammunition. Soon, the marines' plasma rifles and SBSW-3s need power pack changes, which are done as fast as battlefield conditions would permit. However, the marines continue to loose troops with each raid. Without reinforcements, their section of the line could easily collapse.

"Kajali FCP, this is Sub-Commander Iowa of the 15th marine batallion. We're in somewhat bad shape over here. I don't think our part of the line would stand up to a determined attack. Just FYI, over."

The Bajonni Fleet never started its attack on the Tannelorn fleet, seeing an opportunity, Fleet Admiral Kosseth Amari ordered half the battlegroup to Defending the Tor Yvressan wall. the other half simply waited above Tannelorn...for any word.


From Carpentaria base the scene wass a beautiful one...from the enemies rear lines....it must have been hell. In a move to support the Tannelorn Knight assault 250 ships of the Tannelorn Fleet moved in to position, readying their anti planetary defense weapon systems they started to fire down on the Tor Yvressane FLanks....eve 20 km away the Tannelorn knights could feel the impact reverberate through their armour.
Other shots continued to lay down on the rear of the Tor Yvressan Forces in an attempt to stop the Vaul engines from escaping the field....dozens of lances of brilliant energy lit the field....casting all in an eerie glow. Hundreds of Morgenraete combat units plummeted down to earth at top speed joining the Assault on the enemy center, Cutting off the enemy from any possible retreat.


ooc justt to let you know their are still 350 ships in the Tannelorn fleet.

350 cruiser total, 250 Carrier 3 command ship...no frigates as of yet...that is the naval Troopers domain...the Archangel class.

and remember Morgenraete are like Veritechs/Valkyries....though only in the fact they fly around and turn in to a fast mode...otherwise they are closer to destroid...but they hover onthe ground...essentially my "Heavy tanks" same role as both fighter and interceptor too

((From the other attacks by other forces Note I have not ignored you, I've been taking that into account but now that I think about it not enough, so in order to take that into account I am adding a one off, no particular reason other than to balance up the losses, 2000 Extra Infantry Lost. This is a one off balance. Not I am unsure what is ment by Gremlinising, do you mean subtle sabotage or out right destruction. If sabotage, then very little effect will occur, simply because they operate on an alien technology style. The entire thing seems to be grown into shape, the power flow seems different, Added to that many of the machines appear to be self controlled, even when Pilot space is avaible. (Spirit Stones acting as an extra Pilot/Gunner if the Eldar pilot is killed not as good as the Living pilot but an adequate replacment in battle conditions)))

The Counter by Tannelorns forces was met with a second force sent from the Eldar lines, 400 Wraithlords advanced along with 1000 Wraithguard, and a further 500 Warlocks. The Unceasing advance of the Eldar's dead was a stiring sight to see for their allies, these ancient souls encased in Wraithbone metal where a testament to the dedication of the Kionash people.

These souls had returned from their rest eager to serve, eager to be placed once more into the surface of the Council, eager to fight against it's foes. The Warlocks that accompiened them acted as the eyes of the machines, for the souls saw in emotions and while in ways it was better than normal sight, the guidence of a Warlock enhanced them to a place that no human could match. The Wraithlords, shoulder mounted weapons spat out death in a many different forms, and each of these forms was csome where rapid repeating bursts of energy, others where less rapid but more powerful. Still others transported their foes to other places. The Arms of the Lords also bore weapons, underneath the huge fists of these machines. Fists the size of Children each crakling with an energy source unseen.

In space the forces of Tor Yvresse raced against their foes, each Fleet picked a different point to strike at their foes, Working as a group and with one last weapon to consider.

"The advance of the Dead men continues m'lord" one of the aides to General Bartfeldt stated over the Vox. General Bartfeldt, Commander of the Tannelorn Forces in Carpentaria acknowleged his officer and turned his NachtWanzer Alpha to face the coming Wraithlord Advance, calling forward his elite guard, he simply ordered the attack to continue.


a full Company of nachtwanzer leapt in to engage the Wraithlords, supported by the First knight Battalion of the First Division. Particle beams, Masers, missile and Hyper velocity Chaingun spat death at the advancing units, Massive High energy weapons trading shot for shot....though the Wraithlords were far less Agile then then the Nachtwanzers....they were very well armed and resilient for their size.

"Captain Yuretzi, Orders sir, we are to Advance alongside general Bartfeldt as he counter attacks the dead men of the eldar. And their Psycher scum masters!!!!" the Captain Sighed Wearily....one again his men were to be the first in to battle. " Do not attempt to use small arms fire, all men draw plasma blades prepare for hand to hand.....we want prisoners.....aim for the head of the giant beasts, for that is where their control mechanism lay's" With a cheer the thousand men of the First knight Battalion leaped in behind the Advancing armour of General Bartfeldt, Tiger of the Desert.

the other divisions continued to move forward heedless of the casualties caused by the strange alien weaponry of the Eldar and the Bajonni Forces they were poised to Overrun. several hundred more men had fallen but all in all things looked very good.....Massive high energy blasts still rained down from Heaven as did pieces of enemy fighter craft...now that over three thousand Morgenreates and the forces of Auman and Noriegania were involved in the aerial conflict....air superiority was all but assured

The Eldar advance causes much excitement along the LRR lines. Marines raise their plasma rifles and prepare for an engagement.

"Hold.....hold......."

The LRR marines watch as the Eldar elites advance twoards the LRR positions. The LRR marines, although very brave and dedicated, were not what would be considered elite. As the Eldars advance twoards the LRR trenchline, the marines hold their fire. As the Eldars break the 150m line, the mortars start raining doom down upon the heads of the attacking TY troops. Then, the first elements of the Tor force cross the 62 meter line.

"FIRE!!!!!!"

The marines fire their plasma rifles and SBSW-3s into the advancing ranks, taking casualties from the shoulder-fired weaponry of the Wraithlords. The rapid fire of the plasma rifles and support weapons is used to try and stem the advance. Support tanks soon rush in to bolster the lines, firing their plasma cannons into the TY force with crippling accuracy. Uller systems target their missiles on the attacking force, and start to rain their warheads.

Elsewhere.....

A force of 50 LRR fighters and about 350 assault landing craft race twoards the Vascilian lines. The landing crafts carry the other 6,000 LRR marines, and their successful landing would bring the LRR force to nearly 8,000 troops, with more on the way. The total LRR deployment is slated for 15,000 troops and 200 tanks. The landing crafts, smaller but more nimble than dropships, scream over the martian landscape at low altitude. Soon, they are within sight of their landing zone. The first landing crafts to land set down about 100 meters behind the Aumanii trenches, the 500 marines in that group pouring in to reinforce the defenders of the trench. The landing craft then take off again, and head back for another load. Another 1,000 marines are landed at the LRR and Kajal trenches, and they arrive just in time to prevent the LRR line from breaking. The landing craft fire their multiple fragmentation MGs into the TY ranks, trying to take pressure off the troops on the ground. The LRR marines in the trenches had already taken close to one hundred casualties. The rest of the element is landed behind the lines, and loaded onto APCs. The 66th, 78th, 11th, 94th, and 58th marine batallions, a total of 2,000 men, are embarked in APCs. The APCs hold position, their tank support arriving, and call in for battle orders.

"Aumanii CP, we're ready to attack. Tell us when its best to go, over."

The rest of the LRR marines are deployed as a reserve in case the second defense line is broken through. Although the marines were pretty much regular troops, this does not mean LRR doesn't have its own elite troops.

Elsewhere.....

Back at the LRR foreward base, the 101st airborne regiment waits to board their dropships. Having just arrived via fast frigate, they have not been committed to the fighting. This force of 1,000 was LRR's finest common fighting unit. They were formed as shock troopers, and had as a large part of their ranks members of such renound warrior cultures as the Fremen. They do not have to wait long, however, before the order to attack is given.

"Ok, folks! Lets go!"

The members of the 101st airborne regiment hurry aboard their dropships, clad in full battle armor and armed with a plasma shotgun, plasma sabre, and several fragmentation grenades. Their dropships are not the standard LRR workhorses that cart cargo from base to base, but sleek, menacing fighting craft. Each one of the 50-man capacity dropships sports two dual plasma cannon turrets, two missile bays, and the ability to land right on top of enemy lines. The 101st takes off over the martian landscape and heads twoards the battle.

"Its ok with us, TY command. Our medics have been getting killed left and right out there."

At the field hospital, the LRR doctors, some of the galaxy's best, work their hardest to treat the thousand casualties housed in the massive sealed tent. Although LRR has little military culture, and the fleet and marines are more like armed militias, albeit very skilled and brave, than professional armies. This could not be said for the medical profession. LRR medical care was a matter of national pride. For a doctor to loose a patient was often the personal equivalent of loosing a child or spouse.

The beat of orinthopter wings is soon heard over tht battlefield. LRR medical teams pick up casualties of both sides, loading them into their 'thopters and whisking them away to the FH. Medical cars also scour the battlefield, providing on-the-site emergency care.

"There's an Eldar trooper over there.....he's still livin'!"
"Roger that. Here we go. Get ready for action."

The medical car drives up to the burning jetbike and its injured occupant. The rear ramp comes down, and a quartet of LRR medical personell pile out and head over to the trooper. They lift the bike off his badly injured legs, and carry him back to the interior of the medical car.

"Lets see here....crushed legs, that'll require an amputation for sure. He won't be a walkin' on those again. Burns on the legs, arms, it looks like he's suffered from O2 deprivation. Phil, turn on the gas."
"Aye, sir."
"And gimme that mask."
"Here you are, sir."

The oxygen mask is attached to the Eldar's face. The LRR med troopers inject his legs with sedatives, and stop bloodflow to them. They also give the trooper himself a euphoric to make him more workable.

"Now, whats your name soldier?"

The Exarch tried to raise as the Mon-Keigh approached him, foes all, they had to be slain for the good of his people, but the body was too damaged, he could not raise the strength, and he knew his fate. He looked at the Humans as they came towards him and snarled, even as they tried to place the Face Mask on him.

Eventually the human's language came to him and he simply looked at them as he spoke. 'Kill me Mon-Keigh kill me, This body will never fight again, will never feel Khaine's glourious rage, will never..' he paused as his body was racked by coughing fits and blood came out from within his mouth, 'I will not live that life, I will not watch the others go off, and dishonour those that where me before. Slay me, allow me to die in battle as those before me did.'

With the agreement (http://www.bbfree.com/NSMars/index.php?showtopic=37) with the Melkorans complete, Wazzu moved to ensure its continuance. 15 vessels (http://members.cox.net/davage/NationStates/Wazzu/Military/Vehicles/Protector.html), the only Wazzu "gravships", launched gracefully from Ocean waters North of what would become Mangalan territory. They moved South at subsonic speeds, down towards the canal.

The driver's eyes opened wide with shock in one of the walking tanks on the front lines.

A paramed was going over the bodies in his walking tank, on the way back to the flying barge.
"What's the total count so far?"
"We've picked up seven Aumanii, I think one of them might be Tannelorn, and two Eldar."

"Good. I think I see two up ahead. Aumanii and Eldar. Ew. Not a pretty sight. Looks like they stabbed each other."

The legged APC stopped in one of the trenches, and two Heploneiet jumped out. Hefting the two entangled bodies, one of them remarked "These two are definitely a job for the Sarcomorphus."

The tank began moving again as soon as they were back inside, not wasting any time even to get the door closed. The paramed carefully arranged the bodies for examination, slapped micro-EEGs on their foreheads, and started poking and prodding with a stethoscope, galvanic response meter, etc. Snapping the pupil response meter / retinal scanner back into his pocket, he stood up. "Got 'em just in time. Neither one hits TID for another three hours, at least, longer on basic life support. Get sustainers equipment set up ASAP. You, charge paddles. That one on the left might still be revivable as is."

Message to Tor Yvresse:
"We are dropping out of this fight. It is pointless for us to be here. You have Melkor, he can more than supliment our withdrawl. Bajon has far to many things to focus on than fighting the annoying pests of the Vascilian League. We wish you Ilúvatar's grace. Rid us of those vermin."

With that, Bajoni troops began a quick withdrawl from the area. All troops were expected to be out in a week's time.

100,000 Mangalan troops were now in VC, though most were still in transit and being placed in reserves and rear guards.

Small armoured detachments (think a future tech version of a modern day battletank, fires kinetic projectiles, etc.) were moving on the front lines assisting VC forces as best they could.

Behind TY lines 12 man special ops teams moved quickly on low profile skimmers to sow whatever disorder and chaos they could (sabotage, supply distruction, nothing major but lots of small things, with your crazy psychic-ness I doubt morale will be affected but logistics might). Targeting only TY assets the teams carried nothing linking them to Mangala.

Curiously, whether it was through honor or a multitude of other targets the teams did not target any medical equipment or personnel, despite several opportunities.

As word of the cease fire filtered down to individual units they pulled back and ceased fire. The special ops units kept moving, but refrained from most attacks as well.

[note my forces are only attacking TY, nobody else, though right now they are observing the cease fire and are not attacking anyone.]

Menelmacar is likewise pulling out of this conflict entirely. The fleets will come to Mars, yes; and they will come within the hour as was scheduled. They will, however, be stopping at Carnil, rather than at the lines, for R&R. After this they will continue on to the Belt for exercises, then they will rotate back into normal peacetime patrol routing. In doing so, we declare neutrality in the conflict and will not engage in support or opposition of either side in any way, shape or form. Not military, not logistic, not diplomatic, not intelligence. In addition, we formally renounce any post-war claims within Vascilia that we might otherwise have made. As far as the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar is concerned, both sides are free to grind each other down to blood and ash in the Martian dirt if they so wish.

Some may ask why we do this. Frankly, there are those who call themselves allies of Menelmacar, who have, instead of upholding such alliance, deemed it wisest to engage in backroom dealings to deliberately counter Menelmacari interests. We will not name names, but you know who you are, and more importantly, so do we.

The orbiting station had passed over harmlessly during the ceasefire, and as a result, was useless to Kajal Mars as fire support for well over an hour. Since they had agreed to the ceasefire, the mining array had been retracted into the bulk of the station, hidden behind thick armor, and defensive shielding.

On the ground, the Kajali General had deemed it about time to send Tor Yvresse a message.

"I am General Murasi Shenar, commanding officer of the remaining Kajali forces in this area. We request that negotiations towards a truce begin immediately. It is under my understanding that prior to this assault, the Auman government was considering simply ceding this portion of land to you.

However, even if that were true, there are matters more important then land that must be addressed. We have taken greater losses then we have expected, as you have no doubt also taken. This war simply weakens Mars, opening the way for any variety of Foreign Aggressor who is not interested in who happens to reside where when they decide to annex a stretch of land.

If we continue battling amongst ourselves, we are no better then those who waged the wars of Earth. Must we repeat the same mistakes only because this planet has not witnessed them yet?"

Tor Yvresse, this was a great rp. Thanks for the oppurtunity to prove myself in a ground war, though the tables would be completely different if your friends didn't ditch. I know what its like man. I know the war isn't over between us, but this battle seems all but won.

Lord General Ilritz was pleased by what he was seeing. Bajonii troops have begun their withdrawal. Tor Yvresse were routed and the Coalition seemed to have victory with in their grasp. "I want leniency given to the enemy. They have fought well today...Order the men to allow any chance for surrender, though if they choose not to thats fine with me. We will reclaim our territory that we have lost.

Also, our mission has been expanded by Marduk. We cant allow this to happen again men. If possible we are to claim the entirety of New Roan. As the founder had said...Tor Yvresse cannot be allowed to border with Vascilia. Be proud of yourselves, you have saved our glorious society from certain doom."

Auman forces had recieved orders to allow Tor Yvresse troops to retreat or surrender. Though if they stood and fought the enemy would be engaged.

The troops had begun a full on counter-offensive, infantry in the trenches switched gears from defense to attack...moving into previous enemy positions and capturing any Eldar they could. Taking their wounded to Tannelornian medical staff, they knew how to deal with them.

Meanwhile, Kajali Medships began landing about the battlefield, where they believed they were needed most. They were of the same design as the gunships employed earlier, but stricken of all weapons. Housed within each ship were the critical facilities for a field hospital, and tents unfurled around them.

And of course, each ship and tent prominently bore a gigantic red cross.

Unlike Auman, however, they had not stated or made any indications that the Eldar patients were prisoners.

Of course, the Kajal Mars Medical Organization is completely separate from the military, so they really had no reason to unless the General's people showed up.

OOC:

They are enemy combatants...moments ago they were trying to kill our men. They are prisoners as well as patients, they will be kept under guard until they are recovered. Then, when the war ends. They will be sent home.

OOC question...Will the coalition follow us in the remaining half of New Roan? Vascilia cares little of the territory. Nations willing to help us take this land will have the territory fairly distributed amongst them. Hellespontos county will be declared a free state and basically Vascilia wont have to pour trillions of dollars into defending it. Now that this situation has finally started to be dealt with we have some high hopes.

But we haven't won yet...no one even start to think that.

OOC: Oho, we haven't pulled out yet. Medical support has simply dropped in until weaponsfire forces them out. ^_^

OOC: MIDAS net? I wasn't aware there even was a MIDAS net. Certainly intelligence is shared, and there was that (unfinished as always) debate about making an air-traffic control network...but nothing I know of is even up yet non-the-less accessable to non-MIDAS nations.

From Behind the Vascilian lines a small group crimson streaks could be seen screaming across the landscape. Laser and Radio chatter could be detected between the ships and Vascilia.

Meanwhile, the port of Santon, the Mercenary City, was seen the busiest it had been in decades.

Further to this, we also wish the eldar the best of luck in their efforts, but we have decided that this offensive serves no further useful purpose. The Eldar wakes up to see first the heavily bearded face of the doctor, who was of Indian descent, flanked by his robot companion, Philip Reventlov. An IV had been thrust into his arm before he awoke, and was slowly but surely introducing a controlled dosage of euphorics into his bloodstream.

"Now, there. You should feel a sudden happy sensation in a few seconds. Try not to talk, its best to save what little energy you have left. Perhaps you'd like some music?"
"I would recommend Felix Mendelsshon for the occasion. His music has a very good balance between calm and livelyness which the patient might enjoy."
"Sure, phil. Now, lets see if you have a name."

The doctor searches the Eldar's combat uniform for any identification.

Elsewhere......

The lull in the fighting allows the LRR marines a break from the tension and anxiety of trench warfare. Spice Coffee is passed out to the marines in the trenches, and the LRR tanks and recon cars take up relaxed defensive positions behind the trenchline. Casualties are evacuated along the entire length of the trenches, and orinthopters buzz over the battlefield, looking for wounded personnel. The medical crews are sure to give the Eldars a double dose of euphorics. A slow trickle of treated patients starts from the field hospital, and a marine plays his baliset to entertain the patients, and also to distract them as some are TY and bajoni troops while others are Vascilian and LRR. The APC squadron holds formation a few thousand meters away, ready to move out but also ready to withdraw. Dropships soon start to arrive, empty and ready to take the LRR marines back to base and back to their ships.

He was shocked why wouldn't they understand he wanted to die, he had to die, the drugs seemed to have little effect on him, it was not that they could not work on Eldar, in fact on many of the Eldar thy had seemed to work almost too well, the effect being much greater than usual but on this Eldar it seemed that while his body responded, his mind rejected the emotions it attempted to give him.

'Mon-Keigh Listen to me, I do not want to be saved! Kill me, and return my equipment. Look at me, can I fight again, will I fight again?'

Slowly and with a great effort of will he raised Left arm towards the IV drip, obviously fighting both the drugs and his own smashed body to do so. With a great effort of will he attempted to rip the drip out. 'Kill ME I beg of you, if you know mercy in your heart, for I am not as normal Eldar. Kill me and let me join the others who where me before.'

Those looking for some form of Identification where at a loss, none of the Eldar seemed to carry any, although all carried a Blue Gemstone, yet this man did not. Rather he seemed to be almost a part of his Armour, it was a second skin to him. Indeed it seemed that only a great effort of will would ever enable the suit to be taken off, and when ever it was attempted vast sections of the skin where ripped from his body in the process. Still there where the occasional rune on this armour they seemed almost a name yet each rune was different, and any who had any idea of the Eldar language would have to surmise that if it where a name it would have to be a long name, and some of the Runes where younger than others.

Vascilian High Command had been making many overtures to Yvresse forces. "Surrender, or face annihilation. Please, for the good of your people give up...it isn't worth it."

Aumanii Counter-Assault brought them into the heart of Yvresse. 7450 remaining Hellespontos guardsman set up commanding positions on a series of ridges that were taken from the Eldar and were firing on them as they withdrew. Armoured divisions had begun coralling isolated pockets of Eldar and giving them two options: Continued existance? or Sudden Death?

Persistant orbital bombardment from Tannelornian fleet assets had proved invaluable in catching these small isolated groups. Using their help, they cut off any possible routes of retreat...

Lord General Ilritz had observed much radion traffic, Tor Yvresse had lost all of its support. Its defeat was inevitable. Why wouldn't they just surrender?

Mechanized Infantry elements had begun to move into the previously enemy occupied territories, The Infantry had begun to dig new trenches even further than the first defensive line. Fresh Vascilian reinforcements began to pour into the battle field, reinforcing positions and launching new assaults on the enemy.

The Forces of Vanyc had proved to be invaluable during the conflict. Though not participating directly in the conflict, they had kept the flow of supplies going to the wall, making sure that the Coalition forces actually fighting were well supplied and cared for.(Vanyc Contributed troops...but didn't want to control them so, yeah)

Though the enemy seemed to be completely with out support from their allies they didn't seem to give up. They kept up the assault in some sectors, while withdrawing in others. Cease fire with non-Vascilian nations was accepted by high command. But Aumanii troops couldn't accept the conditions. They had already lost territory and must take it back in time, the endeavour for the most part was successful but not with out casualties. In total 3200 infantry were killed in the ferocious close quarters combat.

In the Counter Assault the Forces of Armoured division Marduk(211th Heavy Armour) took light casualties alongside their Tannelornian brothers, 1 Main Battle Tank was lost in the fighting. Though the success of the 3rd had been great, it had taken many losses, another 32 Main Battle tanks and 4 Super Heavy's were destroyed. The 3rd were to be relieved by the 14th Heavy Armour and the 3rd were to withdraw from the battle completely.

Wall artillery was coordinated to cut off all possible escape routes for the Eldar forces in cooperation with Tannelornian Ortillery. Many high explosive shells were loosed into the wastes beyond, cruise missiles directed towards enemy armour formations by forward observers had come upon some success destroying some enemy vehicles...though not many.

Since the weather subsided, aircraft once again took to the sky. Engaging enemy ground targets when feasable, though mostly engaging enemy air threats. 5 High Maneuverabilty fighters were lost to ground fire, 1 to friendly fire...Norieganian forces, unfamiliar with the new configuration accidentally brought it down with laser fire.

The Aumanii Space Fleet was still hammering away at the Yvresse, keeping them off of Tannelorns back, for they were conducting ortillery missions.

"The prosthesis will give him all of his former abilities, possibly more. And you should probably try to calm him down with that fact while I re-insert his IV."
"Oh! Er....Eldar, you will be able to fight again, for sure. The prosthesis will leave you fully capable. You might need to spend a few weeks rest to help heal your other injuries, though."

Phil re-inserts the IV into the Eldar's arm, and puts a wad of hagfish slime compound over the now bleeding hole where the old IV was. In case the Eldar got violent, one of the car's crew was standing by with a Slow-pellet stunner in the doorway to the driving cabin, which was out of the Eldar's plane of view.

Elsewhere.....

LRR marines continue to rest in the trenches, but the APC-borne troops prepare to move back to positions at the Hellespontos wall. They would remain there for some weeks, as they were fresh troops, along with the 101st regiment. LRR field commanders watch the Aumanii forces advance through their binoculars, noting their tactics and methods of fighting for future reference. Slowly, LRR formations (50 troops) are withdrawn from the trenches. A pool of haggard, battle-worn marines soon forms at the landing pad. The first dropship starts to let on its passenger load of 150 marines, but does not take off yet.

Mangalan forces will not support an Auman advance. They are acting in a purely defensive role. Right now most of what they are doing is looking big and defensive and scary... Of course Auman could advance knowing that Mangala will cover their rear, except...

On the home front support for the war effort is weakening.

Toitovna is preparing to return to Mars.

The Council is divided.

And MNN news reports gathering public protests in the streets of the capital.

The Tannelorn Advance continued on unabated, rather then allow the Tor Yvressan Forces time to gather their wounded, General Bartfledt Issued orders to capture and care for all wounded and Cut off Tor Yvressan Eldar, this of course brought outrage from the Eldar of Tannelorn, believing the Tor Yvressans as betrayers who do not deserve the benefit of the civilised rules of warfare. But Tannelorn knights always follow their orders.

As The Tannelorn Advance broke through the Eldar lines, the order to wheel right was given. The Naval support continued to fire from Orbit, but started to center their fire on a 25 km stretch of land, directly behind the Tor Yvressan Forces on the Tannelorn's right. Morgenreates screamed ahead of the wheeling forces, moving to cut off the enemy from any attempts at breaking right as the Tannelorn Divisions renewed their attack on the Enemy, right of center.

"Hmmm it appears as if we need more air support" chuckled the Tannelorn Operational commander of Carpentaria. The Air power of Tannelorn was massive in the area already...The Auman and Norieganian operational commanders seemed slightly perplexed at the comment.
"Excellent...well order them in" the Aumanii General stated. "5, 4, 3, 2, ,1...ahh there we go....do you feel that?" the ground around the base started to tremble slightly...then it started to shake..... "there they are...a little late i would say"


An entire division of the Tannelorn Naval Troopers was approaching the Battlefront....200 Archangel Class Frigate's soared gracefully over head, launching the Morgenraete Alpha' variants of the Naval troopers.
the Firepower they started to level towards the enemy was enormous....they started to Target the Engines of vaul....anti ship weapons blazing towards their targets, missile racks firing swarms of deadly helldart Missiles and Variant 75 millimetre Hyper velocity Chain guns spat death in to the enemy ranks. fully twenty thousand of the Tannelorns naval troopers moved forward to bolster the Tannelorn attack on the enemy.


Casualties thus far...from the knights we have reached around 2200 casualties as they launched a massive assault in to the enemy, their speed saving them from too much exposure to enemy fire. out of the 5000 armour units involved 223 were non functional though the Bacows had reached the battlefront starting to lay down heavy anti infantry/andit tank fire. and out of the three thousand morgenraetes engaging Tor Air forces 202 total were lost both in Dog fights and Ground action [remember they are a giant robot capable of folding in to a quick for, essentially moving the torso forward and snapping the legs together and the arms in] The Frigates have arrived and have started to take some damage from return fire....but not enough at this point to take one out [they just arrived]


ooc ok just a note this is a majour attack by my forces, moving at speeds even the Dark Eldar would be envious of Essentially the Tannelorn Division's have cut off a 25 km stretch and are mounting a full scale assault....the Eldar in the 25 km Pocket have on chance to surrender as it were then the assault begins otherwise...post casualties accordingly haha

ok and i need to know if their are any cities, towns within 20km of the attack it is very important at this point ok there we go. And Tor we need to see your losses at this point. i dont know how many points in the battleline you have or how many troops in each point, but from my forces alone their is currently a 5km front and expansion in to the 25 km line....i am moving down the line too, this reduces enemy firepower [veteran space marine player here lol]

I really expect to see Tor Yvresse posting high casualties...I mean, the coalition have been posting lots and there is alot of fire powering being brought onto your troops.

We've been posting lots of casualties...it would be only fair that you post quite a few.

The LRR APC group re-mounts and prepares to move into the battle. Aboard APCs, supported by tanks and support tanks, there are 3,000 marines. A formation of 15 newly arrived LRR fighter/bombers soars overhead, as well as a pair of liason orinthopters, their SBSW-3 gunners sweeping their weapons to and fro. Unlike the medical orinthopters, these were armored, camoflauged, and armed. They hover-glide above the APC column, and watch as it starts to move. The LRR armored force heads twoards the breach in TY lines already created by Tannelhorn forces at full speed. The fighters make strafing runs on the Tor armor and defenses, clearing the area for the coalition troops. The remaining 1,642 marines of the first four batallions brought in are shipped back to their base. But as they go back, they pass the dropships of the 101st, blazing across the landscape at maximum speed. LRR medical teams gather up their last casualties and make for the field hospital. The dropships of the 101st arrive over the battlefield very quickly, and head twoard the Tor lines. The assault dropships fire at the Eldars with their four plasma cannons, and clear areas to deposit their 50-man formations. The assault dropships barely touch the ground before the troopers of the 101st airborne hop out, weapons blazing.

"Beta formation, over here! This way!"

A group of 50 airborne troopers dash over to their fremen commander.

"Ok! We're going to link up with the Tannelhorn knights and drive through the tor lines with them, go it?"
"Yes sir!"
"Lets go then!"

The 50 troopers of beta formation run twoards the Tannelhorn knights, along with the other troops of the 101st. Several dropships are shot down, and fall to the martian surface. Their loss is quickly avenged by flights of fighter/bombers, which pound away at the Tor forces. Several join the Tannelhorn craft in attacking the engines of Vaul.

The 101st troopers advance twoards the Tannelhorn knights at ludicrous speed for travel on foot, destroying all in their path. The APC group also nears the Tor lines, and the tank support beings laying down withering plasma fire, along with the APC's anti-infantry fire. They do not advance into the pocket itself as of yet, though.

"Good goin, folks. Just don't attack into the pocket the Tannelhorns have made until the Eldars refuse to surrender."

The LRR marines withdraw from their attack, the APC unit returning to its former positions. The airborne troopers also withdraw to the trenchline. Duke Lenni comes down personally and screams his lungs out at the lt. colonel who ordered the attack. The LRR fighter bombers also return to base, and medical orinthopters can once again be seen scouring the battlefield for casualties.

The two John F Kennedy class Carriers,Ticonderoga and Chester A Nimitz arrived in orbit over Mars earlier that day. They had followed the four troop transports who themselves had departed from orbit as the Carriers arrived to go get more troops from Earth to deploy to an undetermined area on Mars. None of the troops on surface had been deployed to the current combat zone and orders from Stellar Navy Command only spoke of the rest of the Navy which was anchored at Charon moving at best possible speed to join up with the Carriers in orbit. It would be however several days before they arrived and would be effective in support of the forces on the ground.

On the ground in the nation of Sunset, troops began to dig in for the time being. Not expecting to stay for along time, just long enough for concrete orders to come through on where to go. The 24 ISSAPCs sitting in long rows on the red Martian surface on makeshift runways. For the time being no one had a clue what they were going to do except those in the Federal Navy Command and in the upper echelons of the government. For now though everyone just monitored radio traffic from the surface listening to combat action.

"We must now address several glaring inconsistencies in the Martian Situation.

The first of which stems directly from LRR violating the stated cease fire. Again, the Vascillians and their allies have proven incredibly impotent and warmongering. A Cease fire was proposed but not accepted by all Vascilian nations. Therefore, there is a cease fire in certain sectors of the battlefield. Where as there is still combat raging in others.

LRR, Auman, Tannelorn and Noriegania have not excepted the cease fire as at this time one would not be acceptable. Coalition forces risk a loss of momentum and do not wish to jeopardise our standing at such time. Melkors entrance into the war would make it the target of Wazzu and the coalition that follows them.

The orders are clear...Sectors that can handle a cease fire at this time will accept it. Forces that cannot, will not.

Its just not reasonable to us at this time to stop our advance and let them dig in...Im sorry, but this is a war. They started it so they will have to face the realities. Our troops cannot give into cease fire at the moment, though others may be able to.

Not the moment I was waiting for by any means, but this must be done and done now.

I would ask all the combatants to lay down their weapons now and come to the table in peace. If we do not destruction may come to Mars on a scale that would make our patron diety proud. OOC: If I'm reading this right the ceasefire was broken by Tannelorn's forces. Attempting to capture the enemy is still a violation of a ceasefire. If this is inaccurate I would like to know why, with direct quotes.

In the opinion of Vascilia there was no cease fire. How could we have broken one if there wasn't one in the first place? It doesn't make military sense to us to stop at such times.

Vascilia will go to the table to discuss the timely resolution of the war. But we will not stop fighting at any time...our sovreignty is at stake.

The fleets of gundrones left position over trenches where fighting had stopped, leaving only a small number in case of incoming artillery. Proceeding to the pockets where the ceasefire had not been honored, they began to take up positions between the opposing groups where possible, mixing with them otherwise, and taking down as many combatants by non-lethal means as possible- Sonic Resonance weapons first, N2O and rubber bullets second.

But we will not stop fighting at any time...our sovreignty is at stake.
Tor Yvresse has agreed to honor a ceasefire if you will. Kaseian forces will continue to protect all Vascillian forces not engaged in combat. Those that do not honor the ceasefire leave themselves open to retribution. Indeed, Wazzu movements seemed to support this statement. The 15 "gravships" that had left the Northern Ocean had crossed down through Mangala. 5 had stayed behind, making a rough skirmish line between the Vascilian port on the Eastern side of the canal, and the Melkoran troops now no closer then 100 miles west of the canal.

The other 10 made a quick suborbital hop, entering freespace in orbit to avoid violating national airspaces of Aelosia, Burninatonia, United Indiastan, and/or the Vascilian nation. They now "floated" down towards the Eniqciri position, looking to reinforce their allies in their bid to calm the battlefield.

The 8 Wazzu ships that had been incomming from outsystem before were now parked in orbit, opposite Ares station and giving Wazzu the ability to strike just about anywhere on the planet with great speed. 2 of the frigates from Ares Station joined them, evening out the two forces some.

Hundreds of soldiers were killed before a response could be mounted(230). 800 Mega Cannons began to fire upon the Enemy troops attacking the wall, unnamed thousands of cruise missiles also pounded the enemy positions inside of Aelosia, striking many down.

The Infantry also poured in behind the counter assault, following in the wake of the armoured spearhead, digging defensive positions as quickly as they could. Troops in the millions were there to defend their homeland against the aggressive actions of the Eldar.

General Murasi had heard enough.

"This is the General, to all Kajali troops. Begin evacuation procedures immediately. We are withdrawing. This war is fed by the blind rage of the two sides, and it will not end well."

Kajali troops began filling the gunships, although the medical teams remained out there, helping whoever they could, regardless of side. The general was fed up with the way this war was going. Two forces, both of which refuse to give up, and insist upon Mutual Annihilation do not good trade partners make. General Murasi sent a transmission to Overlord Marduk.

"As of this moment, I am officially withdrawing all Kajali forces. We offered support in a defensive capacity, but this war is pointless, and fueled only by the mutual rage that you and your counterpart have. We will not follow you blindly to destruction. As such... We're leaving. Have a nice day."

The general got onto the last gunship, and the Kajali battalions left for Kajal Mars, escorted by their fighter and bomber wings. The facilities they had set up remained intact - Auman would probably need them. However, the General could no longer rationalize putting Kajali troops in danger. This war couldn't possibly end well.

OOC: Total Kajali losses in this war so far number several starships, one heavy destroyer, over 300 gunships, 1000 fighters, and 10 thousand troops. Considering the size of the active military and airforce, that's not that much, but it's getting expensive.

The Yressian assulkt would be different... This time they smiled, very different. Vampires took off and raced above and OVER the new Wall from high orbit. before dropping down in Auman lands directly. The Sleek and incrediably fast craft went to work, it is said that the Grav Tank Wave Serpent can reach speeds of 800KM's per hour...

The Vampire was faster . Disgorging forces, although 15 Vampires where shot down on the way over, that still left Several Thousend, Infantry disembarking in Auman lands, and establishing a new frontline Behind the Wall, and the vampires then raced back home.

Warlocks went to work, as the Infantry raced to secure the area...

Federal Stellar Marines are to transit to Aelosia through ISSAPC means, passage rights have not been secured with other Colonial powers and ineffort to keep fighting at a minimal transportation must be orbital to avoid complication. Commodore Richard Jendresen is in command of the inital operations until the arrival of the Federal Navy from Charon. Good look and godspeed.

Sporadic conversations here and there they knew their targets and they knew their mission.

On the surface in the nation of Sunset, the troops hadnt prepared to stay long and the commanders of the 11th and 14th MDs were glad for it. they couldnt move the entire force in just one movement, so they would use the 24 ISSAPCs to move troops. Each ISSAPC could carry 60 troops and they would only need to make under two dozen trips back and forth. The board was set, and the pieces began to move.

"Commodre, the 11th and 14th MDs are beginning the movement to Aelosia now. The Nimitz is reporting she is in position now."

Things would get far worse in terms of artillary for the wall before it would let up, however that was still sometime to come.

As one, the Fleet, could it have grinned, would have. Instead, merely the Admiral did.

The Old Enemies, the New Allies, were under attack. Brutal, unforgiving attack. While the Old Allies were at 'cease fire' the New Allies were being killed.

And the Fleet could stop the killing. Ships whirled in space, and drive fields blazed. Honor would be maintained. The alliance would stand together.

And then, the Fleet fired it's first broad side in Anger. And then another, and another, and another. For five minutes, seven hundred and fifty railguns rained fifty kilogram shells onto the New Enemies positions, firing a broadside every five seconds.

That was more firepower than the fleet had ever used in a single engagement. The planetary surface would simply become glass at the energy release involved.

Except the shells would not hit the planet. They would be hitting static defenses, cruise missile launchers, laser defenses.

The first two and a half minutes of the bombardment focused on the area of the orginal assault. The second half, against positions that now delayed the New Allies return stroke.

Also, for those of you with trouble with Math. Orbit to ground at 5% of light speed is well under a second. If you figure out a way to intercept them short of an energy shield, go ahead and use it.

And Auman, as you seem to be so eager to get losses from Tor, post some of your own.

EDIT: Mistake in calculations. Were too high by an order of magnitude originally. Also, the strike is spread out over whatever static defenses Auman has at both ground war fronts, so I'm assuming this is something like 20 or 30 thousand square kilometers. If anything else is wrong with that calc, tell me.

Kajali troops began filling the gunships, although the medical teams remained out there, helping whoever they could, regardless of side. The general was fed up with the way this war was going. Two forces, both of which refuse to give up, and insist upon Mutual Annihilation do not good trade partners make. General Murasi sent a transmission to Overlord Marduk.

"As of this moment, I am officially withdrawing all Kajali forces. We offered support in a defensive capacity, but this war is pointless, and fueled only by the mutual rage that you and your counterpart have. We will not follow you blindly to destruction. As such... We're leaving. Have a nice day."

The general got onto the last gunship, and the Kajali battalions left for Kajal Mars, escorted by their fighter and bomber wings. The facilities they had set up remained intact - Auman would probably need them. However, the General could no longer rationalize putting Kajali troops in danger. This war couldn't possibly end well.

OOC: Total Kajali losses in this war so far number several starships, one heavy destroyer, over 300 gunships, 1000 fighters, and 10 thousand troops. Considering the size of the active military and airforce, that's not that much, but it's getting expensive.

At the convincing of certain parties, I've been convinced to change my attack.

The railguns will now have been fired at 1 percent of light speed, instead of five.

This decreases the total effectiveness of the attack by 25.

But the attack will also be trebled in length, now lasting 15 minutes instead of 5, still bringing total energy release in at well over 3 gigatons.

I apologize to all those concerned for my anger at Auman's absurdly low losses, both here and in the space battle, getting the best of my RPing skills.

I still expect to see some impressive losses.

The Lost Americans had broken their Lord's treaty. They had likely slaughtered thousands and done more damage to the terraforming process then even Tor Yvresse's storm.

The damnedest part of it was though, no one in Wazzu could quite figure out how they could accelerate objects to such a velocity within such a short amount of time...it would take nuclear explosions inside their reactors to do. Even Wazzu's conventional use of unconventional thermonuclear warheads could hardly compete with that, not headon. There was only one thing for it.

So while in the 15 minutes of attack, Wazzu forces mobilized, fighters launched, ships prepared for battle, something else was going on behind the scenes.



Wazzu had long played with higher-dimentional and temporal math. It had been experimenting for over a century, trying in vain to come up with a solution to superluminal travel. It was close, scientists could feel it...but then, they had had that same feeling for a long time.

To date, there had been one practical application, an FTL communications array. Elegant Solutions, a Wazzu supercorp that was always just shy of failure, had spent billions making a solar-system wide network of satelites. That was to say, it had precisely 3 of them. Venus, Earth, Mars. And all of them were controlled by dedicated, carreer oriented soldiers, high in the Wazzu military ranks.

There was good reason for this...simply speaking, the array was perhaps the most destructive capibility Wazzu had come across. What made it bad was the fact that the power or energy of the array wasn't a factor. Any such array needed a certain threshhold to operate...a certain point at which time itself could be accessed...to a point. After that, the beam would travel a near indefinate range and carry whatever information a user could want...space/time was not a factor.

Of course, aiming it still was...that was something that had to be done with precision, and with extreme caution. A passing ship could get "vaped", so to speak.

So what was it the beam did? As far as the mathematicians could figure, it spread any mass that came across it throughout time itself...in subatomic particles. For all intents and purposes, said object would cease to exist...or at least the parts that struck the (in this case meter) wide beam.

And so now, a certain well respected captain sat aboard the manned array, and ordered its retargeting.

Of course, the array itself was not using any sensors...data came in from satelites, ships, and ground stations...all networked to prevent success of ECM attacks. As such, the array itself, a small "civilian" platform, could not be detected as targeting anything...all the targeting was being done in the computers.

The array swiveled quickly and unleashed its beam. Within seconds, it had covered all areas of the Lost American fleet.

Over Earth, a similar array did likewise to Lost American assets there. The beam struck out at ships, satelites, shipyards...anything LA that could be hit without hitting orbital assets of other nations.

At no time did either station target anything on either planet.


EDIT: Again, I thought this had to be done. I tried to explain to LA that I thought he was a better RPer. That 0-1% C in whatever fraction of a second it took him was just as unrealistic as 0-5% C. I tried to explain to him that Auman's recent bad RPing wasn't an excuse for him to use what I call "magic-tech." He didn't listen.

So this is my response. If he can give it, he had better be able to take it.

I will not, I repeat NOT use this on any other player here. As far as I have seen, no other player has been as unreasonable and unrealistic as Ain just has (including Manmen/Raem). This is strictly an IC anti-godmode godmode weapon.

So for those on both sides of this war...or I should say all sides as there are many (and they change), thank you for playing reasonably and well. I admire those who take IC actions for only IC reasons, who actually RP their characters, and who don't resort to this sudden 1% C BS.

The Fleet.... died. But not all at once. The weapon was simply to small for that.

And so, the Fleet returned fire, as best it could, with data links shattered, and central command going straight to Hell, if fought back with the ferocity of the Damned.

Missiles, large and small rippled out from broadsides as the fleet struggled onto a new orientations. Hundreds of them. Nulcear devices, any where from twenty five to five hundred megations roared outwards. Energy beams, on target or not, blasted outwards. Fighters swarmed towards the Newest Enemy, spread out, at first, to avoid it's deadly beam. Heterodyning lasers struck back. Kinetic weapons the fighters became as they attempted to ram the station, unleashing first their drive fields and then their reactors.

A few fighters ran for it, of course, and the Fleet desperately tried to break the formation that was making them easier to kill.

In all, the attack lasted a few moments, but hundreds of missiles belched forth, and hundreds more energy beams. And from the fighters, a literal cloud of death swarmed.

But every single Fleet vessel in Mars orbit died.

But not every Fleet vessel was in Mars Orbit. Many were in fact, in Earth orbit, though far fewer. And likes those over Mars, as the beam began to pierce their hulls, they exploded as well, spewing debris bringing death.

And against the station in Earth Orbit, the Fleet had yet another defense.

The satellites in orbit were armed. Small, simple weapons, for the most part. But twenty five megaton hunter killer satellites immediate began to fight back against the threat. Hundreds of them, but only hundreds. Energy beams reached out as well, seeking the space frozen metal that spawned their master's deaths.

But again, the Fleet dies here as well. Except those ships tucked safely away in the orbiting Kalessin Space Palace, which doubled as their primary base. And in the atmosphere, fighters launched, awaiting time for their revenge.

The comm array over Mars was destroyed...it was just a comm array afterall. Powerfully deadly, but just a comm array.

Elegant solutions rushed to deploy another.

But over Earth was another matter. Wazzu had a satelite grid there that extended back centuries. It was one of the first to employ ortillary...back before the name ortillary came about. It was also one of the few nations to have a system that tracked everything, everything in the Earth/Moon system.

The attacks were defeated by chaff, by ECM, by interceptors from other satelites.

Before Wazzu had ships, before Yut, before the ISAF, when Hephestus was building ships dozens at a time and Demoness had a solar-trade empire, Wazzu had been investing in its satelites. That investment had been maintained, and had finally paid off.

The simple comm array on Earth survived to see Earth orbital space cleaned up...all except for Orm Embar. With other nations there, Wazzu would avoid it...but it would be sure to destroy any confirmed LA threat comming from it.

[OOC: To be honest, I pulled Kajal Mars out of this because this got ridiculous. The credibility gap, I suppose if you could call it that, is big enough to stick that orbiting station in at points. Sorry.

If this gets back on track, with some decent RPing from certain parties, I suppose I could send forces in again in some capacity somehow. But until then... ^_^;;]

OOC: As spectacular as your satellites might be, how is something like an energy laser or kinetic projectile (which would inclue things so so simple as bullets) intercepted?

Out of curiosity; I'm not trying to be facetious or anything.

A Cease fire was proposed but not accepted by all Vascilian nations. Therefore, there is a cease fire in certain sectors of the battlefield. Where as there is still combat raging in others.

LRR, Auman, Tannelorn and Noriegania have not excepted the cease fire as at this time one would not be acceptable. Coalition forces risk a loss of momentum and do not wish to jeopardise our standing at such time. Melkors entrance into the war would make it the target of Wazzu and the coalition that follows them.

The orders are clear...Sectors that can handle a cease fire at this time will accept it. Forces that cannot, will not.

Its just not reasonable to us at this time to stop our advance and let them dig in...Im sorry, but this is a war. They started it so they will have to face the realities. Our troops cannot give into cease fire at the moment, though others may be able to.

OCC: Just to clear things up, the attack was ordered by a gung-ho field commander, who has now been demoted to latrine attendant by Duke Lenni. The LRR forces will hold their defensive positions and not advance.

IC:

Duke Lenni and the LRR field staff finish demoting their idiotic marine commanders, and fill in the vacancies with troops of the 1st infantry column. However, it was apparent to all LRR forces that this was not a worthy cause. The troops of the APC group and the 101st are yelled at by a 1st infantry master sergent, and then loaded on dropships and sent back to the LRR marine ships in orbit. Duke Lenni was very upset. Upset about how his troops violated the cease-fire, upset about the incompetence and idiocy of the marine field-commanders, and upset about the blatent violation of the cease-fire by all sides.

"This is going nowhere. All these people want to do is kill eachother. Its time to follow our Kajal allies and leave."
"Aye, sir. I'll order in the dropships. All LRR forces, make for the landing zone. Medical troops, prepare to evacuate your casualties into orbit. We'll get some Hippocrates here post haste."
"Roger that, command, we're moving out."

The LRR marines leave their trenchlines and walk twoards the LZ. The marines are loaded on dropships, which take off for space. Medical dropships emerge through the atmosphere from the LRRSV Mother Teresa, a Hippocrates class medical frigate.

A small force of 1,000 infantry troopers are brought down from orbit. They prepare to join the Einqcir forces in attempting to seperate the combatting forces. They are not combat reinforcements, as was the last 6,000 marines to be deployed (and who are currently feeling very bad after being screamed at by the Duke's men) but trained peacekeepers. They are armed with a multitude of weapons, their primary armerment being slow-pellet stunners. They also have kedamine gas grenades and hagfish slime compound immobilization weapons. They are part of the 1st and 2nd infantry columns, Duke Lenni's personal command, and they are the best troops LRR has. They come from a destroyer squadron guarding the hospital ships, but with orders to stay neutral and prevent the marine ships from attacking. (The origional battallions of marines are well on their way home, and were, before Lenni's troops arrived, the best LRR forces on the field. The 101st is the best in combat but not the best in command and sanity.)

The peacekeeper and medical dropships come down from orbit, landing where they are needed most on the battlefield. Orinthopters circle the pockets, firing slow-pellet stunners into attacking troops and dropping Kedamine gas grenades. The medical dropships take on casualties and head back into orbit, docking with the LRR medical frigates. Peacekeeper recon cars deploy between the attacking forces.

"Eniqcir forces, this is Post-captain Fredor Kaukonen of the 1st infantry column, LRR. Just to inform you, we are deploying between the combating forces. Dropships will probably land around that area, just be informed that they are ours and not those airhead marines. If you need help in your sector, just call us up. over."

Medical dropships continue to evacuate casualties. The destroyers also fire missiles at the abandoned LRR equipment, destroying it before it can be used again by combating forces.

Come to think of it, actually, you're both getting sort've ahead of yourselves- there dosen't seem to be any indication that Auman is even accepting the orbital bombardment, as it ignored the fact that planetary defence weapons are levelled at orbital attack fleets & that the Aumani starfleet would've moved to engage the LA one as soon as it started to try & get into position for orbital bombardment anyway.

If LA's ortillary strike is ignored by Auman then Wazzu's response to it & the consequences of said response effectively never happen. So should't you both wait to see if the attack even happens before killing the thread (which is, effectively, what is being done).

Royen was fuming. Scribbling quickly across the paper on his desk, he signed it, and placed it on the scanner.

20 minutes to Earth. 20 minutes back. An hour to deliberate.

1 hour and fourty minutes later, a response came through:
The Imperial House Crzleidzi hereby grants the House Royen permission to act in an executive manner in foriegn relations. As of this moment, you are free to declare war.

Within minutes, 2 Phoenix supercruisers emerged from their Alcubierre warps in high orbit, as the Pagag began firing thrusters to move above areosync itself. Blast shields slid closed while gunports and launch bays slid open, revealing racks upon racks of Warfuries and Starfires. Taking up their positions in an equilateral triangle around Mars, they began launching fighters. The Pagag and Moriancumr, closest to the battlesites, fired.

On the ground, even as white-hot spheromak bolts and DU bullets screamed towards the LA and Melkorian ships, more flying barges crossed over the poles, unloading their cargos of warmachines. Within Vascillia, the fleets of gundrones, microdrones, and unmanned Entopters began to wreack havoc on the Yvressans, with walking tanks continuing the work of picking up the wounded and bombarding enemy ground forces with flaming napalm. Another 20 Crawlers departed from the Inferno station just east of the Aelosian border, heading to take up positions along the Aelosian/Vascillian border, and firing on anyone who tried to pass in either direction, Enemies crossing into Vascilia, or Vascillians crossing into Aelosia.

Meanwhile, the wildcards were still in reserve. Ghost, Phantom, Specter, and Phantasm sped away from the Yvresan conflict, and headed for the nearest Boreal Inferno station- Spirit alone remained in position in orbit, ready to attack on a moments notice.

Aboard the third Phoenix, Mahonri, the captain eyed the position of the Spacer array, wondering when things would go so far as to get them involved.

Captain Yoshimoto sounded hopeful - he missed the red planet.

"Yes - it's time for us to head home. I've sent the message out to the fleet. We depart in 15 minutes."

Fifteen minutes later the fleet left Titan orbit, accelerating away towards Saturn. The fleet slung through the gravity well and accelerated out the far side. They had kept a good speed while in Titan orbit, so they merely added more speed.

"Anxious for home Admiral?"

"Indeed. I haven't enjoyed watching events unfold from afar."

As they accelerated the ships began to form up - a broad wave across ten thousand kilometers of space. They would enter Mars orbit in 14 hours - the position of Saturn was currently perfect for their departure and a slingshot ride home.

Admiral Burgess stabbed at his controls opening the all-ship channel.

"Change in orders - all ships are to jump to warp. Arrival time is now 20 minutes. Burgess out."

Moments later the former Titan wing of the SDF went to warp.

The LRR peacekeepers put themselves right between the two lines. The recon cars they operate are heavily armored and sport a tank-killing plasma cannon. Post-captain Kaukonen climbs atop his recon car, and addresses the Vascilian and TY forces.

"Vascilian and Tor Yvresse forces! You are ordered to cease all combative activities immediately! Any forces which mount an attack will be subject to immobilization or destruction!"

The peacekeepers keep their slow-pellet stunners aimed on the combating troops. Orinthopters fly overhead, broadcasting the same message. The LRR medical teams continue to gather casualties and bring them to the Mother Teresa. The marine frigates are sent away to their base on the edge of the solar system.

"We could definately use some more troops down here."
"Roger that. We'll call for the 3rd and 4th infantry columns."

The 3rd and 4th infantry columns, currently orbiting over Independent Pluto in their modified cargo freighter, recieve the message soon after it is sent. They are commanded by Duke Idaho II, Lenni's cousin. The freighter makes a course change and starts for mars. On 10% hyperdrive power, the trip will take a little over 20 hours. Low h-space drive power is reccomended for trips that take the vessel close into a gravwell. Blazing around open space is one thing, but inter-system jumping called for precision and caution. The 3rd and 4th infantry columns also carry small remote controlled combat drones developed for high-risk environments. They also carry slow-pellet stunners and hagfish slime immobilization compound. Hopefully there would still be an LRR peacekeeping force by the time they arrive.

"Alright. If we can just hold out for a day we'll have reinforcements."

OCC: Info on LRR weapons:

The Slow-pellet stunner is much like a blunderbuss in shape. It fires a large shot which is electrically charged. When it hits a person, it usually knocks them out with the force of the shot and the electric shock.

Hagfish slime immobilization compound can be sprayed over any reasonably flat surface, and when it hardens it creates a very sliperry surface. If sprayed on a person, it hardens and makes that person unable to use their arms and legs. Power armor can sometimes defeat it.

Kedamine gas grenades and kedamine darts give a person a dose of the euphoric kedamine. It will usually work on regular air filters and unshielded respiration.

The column's other 29 recon cars are deployed in positions around him, as well as infantry, dug in among the rocks for cover. A dropship sits to his left a few hundred feet away, ready to evacuate the infantry troopers if need be. The LRR orinthopters continue to circle the Tor pocket, firing stunner shot into any attacking troops. Several LRR infantry set up mortars, as well as SBSW-3 squad support weapons. The LRR field hospital continues to be busy, and medical cars and medical orinthopters continue searching for casualties.

Amid the wreckage of the first Eldar assaults, a single medical car sits next to a near-destroyed jetbike. The eldar trooper inside continues to be treated by LRR medics, and his bleeding is under control. The amputation of his legs is prepared, and he is given double dose of sedatives in his legs.

Now Myself have a total Military (inc support personal) of 13-14 Million. Thats 1% of my population... Auman alone claims to have a military Larger than my own support a massive wall the length of his nation. (if each League nation payed equal money to support their portion of the wall, he is supporting one massive wall.)) and yet will claim fantastic troops. On Less money...

Of course perhaps the rest of the league pays for it...

Heres the thing with my military, yes it is 20 million men. But it is supported by two non-combatant nations. Beverage Concern and Nerdom pay the bills and supply support staff like doctors and supply clerks. Not to mention the fact that during World War 2 the United States of America had managed to bring 18 million troops out of 148 million people.

Now about the "cardboard" I can have lots of small lightly powerful weapons or few very powerful ones. In nationstates they both still get the job done. Its called the "Wolf Pack" doctrine, if one doesn't get you, the other 100 will. Same doctrine with my fleet.

Lost Americans, since Ravenspire destroyed those mines you put up my fleet returned. They also engaged Tor Yvresse fleet...though he posted nothing on the topic. Tannelorns fleet never left orbit either so yeah. The ground defenses I was talking about weren't going to shoot down anything other than your space craft.

Yes...This is starting to get hokey, I dont post tons of losses at once so the battle lasts longer but I can assure you that I was taking more casualties than Yvresse.

Nevermind...RP Back on. For the love of god, what the hell is wrong with Tor Yvresse, does simple logic work on his people? This war may have seen some of the worst casualties Ive ever seen, but when the peace keepers get in the middle and the end of the war is negotiated you're going to be left with out New Roan. So, we can see as this war is at its halfway point...it really wasn't worth trying to take this land when we would have given it to you.

Recieving the transmissions from Eniqciri and LRR troops the combat forces stopped fighting in the sectors that could, though combat still raged in others where the peace keepers had not arrived. Air defenses were still going wild, shooting at anything that moved.

"This is General Delane to Coalition forces, this war has gone far enough! The enemies of Vascilia will return home at once...this is a ridiculous infraction of Aumanii sovreignty, you all must realise this."

The 3rd and 4th infantry columns soon arrive, and land on the surface very quickly. The 2,000 men of the two columns land very quickly and deploy ver the entire battlefront, barring the melkor area. They warn the combatants to return home immediately, and shoot stunner rounts into anyone who decides to breach the cease-fire. From the vantage-point of the 1st column near the Melkor area, the prospect of peacekeeping seems quite hopeless.

After six trips, the twelve casualties were loaded up, the paramed stayed behind, and a new trooper took his place in the APC for the next cycle.

"Clear!" The third Eldar's body shook as electric charge flowed through ts chest.
"Clear!" The body gasped for breath- a diaphragm spasm.

"We're good! Set 'im up on life support ASAP. 1 liter of replacement blood on drip, 20 ccs morphine. You! We got a sarcomorphus? Good, load up the Aumanii. The other ten, freeze 'em."

ooc ok Tannelorn has 8 million in the armed forces approx 0.9 percent.
4 million of which are civil defense troopers, or police and city defenders., much like Guardians....and Tor the Tannelorn Kinights cut off and attacked a pocket 5 by 25 km of your forces as they attempted to retreat...I know all tyhe 40k fluff there is no way they all escaped to the webway...no way in hell...i am not using 36kmh Leman russ...my knights can maintain and overland speed of 300kmh due to "jump packs" that would have been a LOT of casualties and i based my casualties off cutting of a fair portion of your forces...which i did do...as you made no attempts to rescue them.

The Massive antechamber was filled with hundreds of thousands of Tannelorn Knights, Nacht wanzers and Morgenreates. At the end of the Hall were massive disc shaped alcoves. Technicians working on final preparations as Emperor Roland himself arrived. The Antechamber shook with the cheers of the assembled knights but became a hushed silence when the emperor approached the first of the captured enemy warpgates.
With a pop the Warpgates activated, power coils hummed and an tangi ble taste of electricity filled the air. "Men of Tannelorn...WIth me" the Emperor Raised his Claymore in to the airs and brought it down in a cutting motion, turning to enter the first of the smaller warpgates, the thousand men of his royal guard directly behind him as the men and women of the Tannelorn knights, raised from birth to protect the nation of Tannelorn and the Vascilian league...stormed in behind him.

Through the Larger warpgates flew squadron after squadron of Morgenraete and Nachtwanzers.....fully 22 Divisions were pouring in to the webway, with a speed unmatched by normal soldiers. Their goal the Capital of TOr Yvresse Mars, the Glittering prize that awaited them.

The Forces of General Bartfeldt, Tiger of the Desert had left the enemy prisoners in the custody of the Aumani Forces and turned on their heels, heading to Aelosia after word of the Attack...12 hours of forced marching saw them within sight of their goal...the massive Frigates of the Tannelorn naval marines blocking out the sun beneath them....it was a frightening sight as the moved along the outside of the Vascilian Defense wall....directly to wards Aelosia itself and the enemies attacking from its supposed safety.

As this was going on the 250 ships of the Tannelorn Navy on Standby over Vascilia decided to support the Aumani by Targetting behind Tor Yvressan Lines in an attempt to knock out hte warp gates, sending hundreds of Morgenreates on High speed attack runs to makes sure the job was done, and the targetting was accurate. the other 250 over Hellespontos Jumped out to the PLANTS to rearm and resupply as well as act in reserve and the defense of the plants [350 in defense of plant, two battleships 3km 250 cruisers 500m 50 fighters each, 100 carriers 500 m and 500 fighters each]

Also in other news the Tannelorn CDU mobilized 500 000 troops to aid in the defense of the Aumanii forces, a fully flight group of the Alpha and Beta Fighters of the last war accompanied them [they use the older stuff]

The LRR medical teams that remain also load casualties onto their dropships. Orinthopters scour the wastes where the Tor and Aumanii forces met, picking up hundreds of casualties. They are loaded onto medical dropships and sent into orbit for immediate medical treatment.

"Ok, ok! Oxygen!" The LRR field doctor attaches an oxygen mast to the face of the Aumanii corporal, bleeding badly. Other LRR medics cover his wounds in HSC to stop the bleeding.
"Gimmie some blood and an IV." A sack of blood is attached to the stretcher and an IV is thrust into the corporal's arm. He is put on a portable artificial respirator and loaded onto a dropship.
