We have every right to monitor the shipping route, and any ship resisting calls to stop by ships of the Royal Isochron Navy run the risk of being fired upon. Any weapons found on ships travelling between the two nations will be confiscated and subsequently destroyed.

It is highly hypocritical of you to whinge about infringements of national soveregnty when you yourself are guilty of starting this conflict through blatant disregard of British sovereignty.

In a last ditch attempt, the Kisnesian government has urged Talkos to withdraw from the Falklands to allow negotiations to continue.

Kisnesia suggests Altaran forces fill any necessary voids left by the removal of Talkosian forces (which should be minimal for the small population of these islands).

The Five Civilized Nations demand that Talkos be reasonable and participate in peace talks or suffer the consequences. To punctuate this, the Five Civilized Nations is activating its 9th Armored Corps, which will be transported to the Falkland Islands to assist Isochronous and the rest of the IDAF...

Meanwhile, the 7th Fleet will take up position surrounding the Falkland Islands and not permit any reinforcements from Talkos.

If Talkos does not comply with these demands, a state of war will therefore exist between the Five Civilized Nations and Talkos.

ooc:No, 50,000 soldiers won't be a lot of good on the Falklands- after all, they're not just a tiny total land mass, but are broken up into even smaller land masses. But anyway, we were never close to a resolution, as Talkos never made the only concession anyone was interested in. There's no peaceful resolution to an armed invasion, short of the peaceful withdrawl of the invader and return of the pre-invasion status quo. That has never been offered. This debate shouldn't really be happening ooc, methinks.

ic: Victoria and Salvador unsurprisingly continues to stand by the Falkland Islands and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Short of building irresistable international support against Talkos, little else seems workable.

Accept the proposed treaty, with the extra conditions proposed by us, and you can avert much bloodshed on both sides. We do not wish to resort to military action and would prefer diplomacy, but this a choice that is going to be made by you and you alone.

As a former territory of the UK, Split Dreams stands by our ancestors and demand Talkos remove all forces from the nation and allow international troops in to repair all damage caused by Talkon Military.

We have read that you have made plans on how to assault F.I's if theneed arises so dont worry, we are not about to come crashing in with several thousand men and completely ruin weeks of planning, my men are merely there to operate as Special Force's, and possibly larger scale combat support if you should want it.
You have the complete use of all Stores and Support ships within my Naval Task Force, they should be arriving in the area withing hours.

We thank you for your support. Credonia and its allies will be beginning its assult soon should the Talkosian government not comply with our demands of backing down. While we have been catching some heat with our other allies within the International Allied Defense Federation (IADF) (http://www.mafiarpg.com/iadf) We are committed to driving the offensive forces from this region and we will stop at nothing until the sovreignty of the Falkland Islands is returned intact and whole.

We are dispatching more military forces to the area due to Talkos's complete failure to comply or even neotiate. Full troop numbers will not be given for obvious reasons but we feel the threat is there and we are replying to it. We will also move up our entire Auxillary and Supply fleet as support for the main Credonian and Isochronous attack forces.
We have also negotiated with Argentina for use of air bases in their country to provide longer ranges and allow us to send more aircraft.
The first part of our task force has already arrived and has anchoured at a secret location near to the F.I's. Special forces are also due to arrive in the area.
After the withdrawal or defeat of Talkonian forces, our engineers are ready to move in. A Police, Medical and Fire-Fighting force will also be landed.

Please withdraw Talkos, we have no desire to fight with you but rest assured, if we have to, WE WILL.

2 hours later, Credonian B-1B, B-52 strategic bombers preceded by, B-2, and F-117A stealth aircraft penetrated enemy defenses and begun their bombing runs upon Talkosiantargets within the Falkland Islands. They struck key command and control centers with laser guided weapons and smart munitions and taking out underground bunkers with bunker buster bombs. The first wave of 60 F-16C Falcon and 30 F-15E Strike Eagles swarmed the skies and awaited the scrambling of enemy aircraft. Beneath the sea, Credonian Mao Class Attack Submarines and Los Angeles Class Nuclear Attack Submarines, and Aircraft from the stationed aircraft carriers attacked the following Talkosian forces currently in Falkland Island waters: 1 Nimitz class Aircraft carrier Bring It On, 3 Aegis cruisers, 2 Spruance class destroyers, 1 Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate, 4 Mao Class Submarines, 1 Wasp class amphibious assault vehicle, 1 Multipurpose Supply class resupply vessel


OOC: Talkos POST LOSSES

Before the situation spirals any more out of control, the Republic of Ozymandias IV would like to extend one final offer to Talkos to avert a widespread global conflict.

We suggest that Talkos submit to the following conditions:
1. Free elections in the Falklands, monitored by international observers, with no interference from Talkos and no vote given to recent entries into the Falklands. Also, no later vote.
2. Talkos pays for any damage done to the Falklands.
3. Withdrawal of Talkos 'peacekeeping' forces from the Falklands.

If Talkos agrees to these conditions, we further suggest that Credonia and its allied forces submit to the following conditions:
1. Credonia pays for damage done to Talkos soverign territory.
2. Withdrawal of Credonian and allied forces from the territorial waters of the Falklands.
3. Free elections in the Falklands monitored by international observers, with no interference from Credonia or its allied forces.

Rather than see this regional dispute turn into a worldwide conflict, we respectfully urge the engaged parties to consider and adopt the proposals.

At 8.55am, Local time, a lone Pave low helicopter of the 13 Special Forces Attatchment, Air Assault Regiment, dropped a team of elite troops onto an unnamed island in the Falklands. Observation Posts have3 been set up overlooking Enemy fortificatios, main towns and roads.
At exactly 9:00AM, Local Time, F-15E's and F-16's of the SDRAF left their bases in Argentina and headed for Aircraft Carriers in the Atlantic. Harrier Jets of the Royal Fleet Air Arm flew predesignated routes as they formed a protective barrier around Allied Shipping.
In Split Dreams, there was no official decleration of war and no public announcements. Only the prescence of Natinal Guard troops around several important buildings would suggest anything was out of the ordainary.

The first casualties of the Falklands Conflit were sustained today when a Split Dreams Naval Vessel suffered a huge explosion within its engine room.
SAR Corps were soon on the scene but sadly the lives of all 39 crew members on board were lost.
The SD Navy launched an official statement at 7:00pm today.
' It is my sad duty to inform you, the people of Split Dreams, that, at approximately 2:00pm today, a Royal Navy Vessel was struck by a mysterious explosion. Despite the efforts of Search and Rescue units, 39 lives were lost. The famillies have been informed but we shall not be revealing the list of dead for a period of 48 hours.
These men and women are amongst the bravest SD has to offer and rest assured their deaths will not be in vain. This incident makes all troops in the Atlantic more dedicated to their mission of liberating the Falkland Islands from its oppressors.

A full investigation has been launched but Navy officals have said that Saboutage is the most likely option.

Kisnesia will withold its forces for the time being in order to give Talkos an emissary to the Credonia-led forces. However, we still maintain that the occupation of these islands is illegal under international law.

At 4:40 pm EST, Credonian ground forces stepped onto British Territory in the Falkland Islands on the coastal city of Port Stephens establishing the first beachhead of the war. General Kevin .J. Arnold established a command and control center in the small city and has begun setting up operations to begin attacks upon Talkosian troops with the first wave of troops from the 32nd Marine Infantry Division

In response to the heightening of tensions in and around the Falkland Islands, His Isselmerian Majesty's Government (HIMG) is sending down its First Carrier Group. While HIMG desires the immediate departure of non-British forces from the Islands, the carrier group will remain north of the established exclusion areas. Meanwhile, the 5th Improvisation Battallion and 3rd Royal Engineers land at Lively Island. An Isochron base will be established there, and the 3rd Royal Engineers will construct an airstrip to make supply lines and access to the Falklands shorter.

Alpha 5 Brigade
Alpha Force troops are the most elite and respected troops in the world. They are the finest in the Isochron military and have a stunning success rate.

The 2,000 troops of the Alpha 5 Brigade paradrop into Mt Pleasant International Airport to destroy any Talkosian presence there, and capture the airport for allied use. They will have Close Air Support from 50 Eurocopters, 50 Apaches and 40 Sea Hawks.

Meanwhile, the 56th Marine Infantry Division land in Berkley Sound, establishing a beach head before pusing onto the capital Stanley, and also link up with forces at the airport.

Talkosian forces fight a running retreat, as they fall back behind prepared positions, past the vast minefields that they have been emplacing since their landing. The 2,000 Soldiers, and 10,000 army engineers are hard pressed to combat the armored elements of the enemy. Reported losses of at least 300 troops in the initial attack on the airport, but Talkosian troops have been attempting to keep their distance. Additionally nearly 400 troops have been killed in the air bombardment.

Talkosian air patrols operating from the Talkosian mainland have finally emerged.
150 MiG-29SMTs and 100 Su-30s are on constant patrol, and currently attempting to retake the airspace of the Falklands.

Talkosian naval forces are noticibly absent. (OOC: Though you should notice that we've mined all the harbors, post any losses) Talkosian forces in the area only amount to 30 of its Mao Class submarines, preying upon enemy shipping.

As dawn breaks, nearly 150 aircraft from the three Nimitz carriers scream in, dropping ordinance on both South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Each carrier with 20 F-14Ds 36 F/A-18 Hornets battle with what planes can scramble. Talkosian defense forces are on alert, and Talkos has moved nearly 100,000 army troops from the northwest region to coastal cities, as well as significant air force assets.

Newsflash: In an asthomnishing report the MoD of SD has leaked to The Scoop theat the explosion which killed 39 Royal Navy Troopers was actually caused by a mine. According to our sourcs the MoD had launched a small attack on the harbour of Poet Stanley with special forces but the landing craft was strck by a mine.
Meanwhile it is thought that soldiers from the 1st Special Air Service Wing
are approaching Port Stanley in preperation for a full assault. More later.

President Sutton sits in the war room at the Credonian Presidential Palace watching the events unfold in the Islands. He whispered in Secretary ofDefense Mitchell Ferguson's ear:

The poor people of the Falkland Islands are the ones who really have anything to loose and us coming here and occupying and ultimatly destroying their land through war is certainly not right. We do not wish to fight, and war was only declared after a premature declaration of war from the nation of Old Brittania. Credonia, as i have stated in many speeched about this war, is committed to the preservation of peace in that region. We do not wish to fight you, and i can promise a hault of the entire allied invasion and attack forces currently within the islands if you agree to sign a cease fire. Please take this offer to heart and give it serious consideration. The major losses of life in this conflict just isnt worth it. I hope that your govermnment is sensable enough to realize this and consider our offer. As i have stated before, and I want to make this very clear, if you aggree to a cease fire, Credonian forces will stand down as well as the allied forces on request by Credonia and a safe withdrawal of our forces can be attained so that no more blood be shed over this."

President Sutton stands poised to order his forces to stand down and pull out of the regon, should the Talkos government agree to a cease fire and withdrawal of military forces from the area.

South Georgian air defence assets scramble, with multiple SAM sites firing on the Talkosian planes. 30 F-14s are scrambled from patrol nearby to intercept and destroy the enemy.

20 C-130 Hercules transports land at Mt Pleasant International Airport, rolling out 20 Leopard II tanks and 5,000 regulars to clear out the airport surrounds of any remaining Talkosian troops.

At 6:30 am EST, an all out tomahawk cruise missile attack was launched on the three Talkosian carrier divisions that were put to sea, by 2 Los Angeles Class SSN's (each carrying 26 tomahawk cruise missiles) after Credonian satellites captured the positions of the force. Each of the 52 cruise missiles were guided by computer to within 5 nm of the targets and were manually remote controlled and guided to EACH of their targets. To follow up that attack, 35 Harrier Jump Jets and 30 F-16's were launched from the Freedom Class Aircraft Carrier Ambrosia and the EM-150 Dolphin/Piotr Hotamel Class Amphibeous Assult Carrier Havoc to engage any enemy aircraft launched from their damaged aircraft carriers

As of this hour Lauda/Ibico Special Forces teams are being despatched to the theater of operations along with 10-15 harrier aircraft. They will stationed on the credonian Freedom Class Aircraft Carrier 'Ambrosia' in the 422nd Carrier Division in the middle of the Falkland Sound

A medical evac team is also being prepared to retrieve troops from the frontlines.

As ten Cobra Attack helicopters fly in a protective circle, ten Pave Low heli's land on the roof of Talkonian Govenment Headquarters in Port Stanley. 50 Special Air Service troops clamber out and storm the building below. Each room is searched thouroughly as the Talkonians retreat from the suprise attack. Snipers are placed on the rooftop and heavy machine guns and morters placed in various defensive positions as the troops wait to be relieved.
At exactly the same time, three similar formations have landed on or near the Radio Communicatioins base and the Talkos Air Force Base.
2000 Royal Marine Commando's storm ashore, supported by Landing Tanks and APC's. Navy ships also fire at enemy costal fortifications wiht Tomahawk missile and 'Bunker Busters'.
20 C-130 Hercules aircraft drop 1000 Paratroopers into feilds near to the F.I's Capital along with BMD's and APC's. Heavy resistance is met by all invading troops as the invasion force reqest back-up from their HQ. 20 Challenger Main Battle tanks, 20 Bradley MBT's ,30 F-16's, Harriers, APC's and 2000 Air Assault Regiment troops are immediately sent in support.
The Allied invasion of Port Stanley has begun.

Up to 5000 troops and 300 Royal Military Police are attempting to bring order back to Port Stanley. 100 APC's are thought to be patroling the streets, supported by tanks and aircraft. Most of our Special Forces Strike Teams have been pulled back to SD Ships and our engineers are waiting for teh F.I's to be declared safe before entering the area.
The SDRAF continue to fly protectice patterns around all Allied shipping with up to 300 aircraft active. AWAC have also been activated and are now helping to control the increased air traffic.

However, the government of SD has pledged that, in accordance with their Allies wishes, no more Offensive action will be carried out by any of our troops until further notice from our Allies.
Our intelligence officers and Observation units will continue to operate but with strict orders not to engage the enemy unless their lives depend on it.

Talkosian forces are pummeled. Nearly 2,000 have surrendered or been captured and an additional 4,000 have been killed or injured. These ill equipped conscripts and engineers didn't stand much of a chance against the well trained troops from the allied nations. The remaining troops have dissolved into guerilla warfare.

Ten of the F/A-18 Hornets and 7 F-14s are destroyed immediately, by the SAM fire, but the remainder continue on. The F/A-18s launching against the incoming aircraft, volleying nearly 60 assorted missiles, the F-14Ds continue on to fire against ground targets. The remaning 40 of them sweep low over the island, and along wtih the cruise missiles from the cruisers begin begin to destroy the emplacements.

The troop transports begin to land under fire, and unload their troops.

6 of the escorting submarines go on to attack the enemy LA class subs as they begin to unload on the fleet. AEGIS cruisers coordinate fire and are able to intercept about 20 of the incoming missiles, the remaining four hit their targets. That Credonia is nothing more than a supporting player is a great disappointment, that they can be dragged into an unjust conflict by another force.

Our naval forces have withdrawn to 12nm from the islands, (200 nms would require us to go nearly across the globe) and we will await for Credonia to follow suit. Our military forces on the islands are no longer in contact, though how you intended us to withdraw them when the Islands are surrounded by a ring of steel is a mystery to us.

Credonian troop ships pull into Port Stephens, pick up the 1st Army Infantry and most of the 32nd Marine Infantry Division and sets sail for mainland Credonia, however, in case of an out break of war, the Credonian 442nd, 25th, 30th, and 24th Carrier divisions remained 12 nm from the islands filled with troops from the 32nd Marine Infantry Division. For the record, Credonia said in this thread:
"Credonian B-1B, B-52 strategic bombers preceded by, B-2, and F-117A stealth aircraft penetrated enemy defenses and begun their bombing ruins upon the nation of Talkos."

The Republic of Ozymandias IV will be happy to send peacekeepers to the FIs until a formal peace treaty can be worked out between the various parties.

Upon the withdrawal of Talkos' forces, the Republic lifts its economic sanctions upon The Dominion of Talkos.

General Arnold gives his daily combat report for 12-18-2003

“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. In the past 24 RL hours, we have seen much progress in the pursuit for peace. The Talkosian response to the massive attacks conducted by Credonia and the allied powers was extremely weak in comparison. It seems that their intelligence was also flawed as they believed they were attacking Credonian air forces in South Georgia. Credonia suffered only minor casualties during the enemy retaliation. About 35 aircraft were shot down and 500 G.I.’s killed. President Sutton is very impressed at the numbers as about 150-200 enemy aircraft were in the air against about 75-100 Credonian F-16C Falcons and F-15E Strike Eagles. In addition, about 4 Mao Class Attack Submarines were sunk during an attack by Talkosian Naval forces. The Credonian military command admits to its blunder of not taking the precautionary steps or defending the Los Angeles Class SSN’s and attacking enemy submarines with the Mao attack subs.

We also saw Old Brittanian naval forces arrive in the region and establish defensive positions around the island. The “day” ended when Talkos and Credonia and the allies agreed to a cease fire. After Isochronous removed the naval blockade from the island, Credonian troop ships pulled into Port Stephens and began extracting the 1st Army Infantry Division and most of the 32nd Marine Infantry Division. The remaining forces from the 32nd infantry were taken aboard the 4 carriers to remain until a peace treaty is officially signed. President Sutton will be holding a brief press conference shortly

Order has been returned to Port Stanley. Only 1500 troops now remain on duty in the town, awaiting the arrival of an international Peacekeeping force.
Several ships in the task force have been returned/are returning to Split Dreams. We have made the descicion to keep several thousand troops within 12 hours sailing time, just in case negotiations break down. These will be pulled out immediately after the end of what will hopefully be a successful peace summit.

Ok, all troops pulled to a 15nm distance. Only troops left are guarding embassy. The figures i posted werent the troops on the island, they were 12nm's out anyway, except for infantry in Port Stanley.
But, i did say any objections so all troops have now been withdrawn.
