RG well they are being held at an undisclosed location not inside Layarteb or Smolny so we're on the save wavelength with that. Very few people know the location and all are highly trusted and high ranking, no possible way for anyone to figure it out.

We acknowledge the fact that we have been supplying the rebel forces with supplies and equipment but we hearby deny any attempt by our nation to conduct attacks against coalition forces and any attempt to interogate or torture coalistion soldiers. Furthermore, we deny any knowledge of existence of the two POWs that you currently hold. We also deny the use and any plot to use chemical or biological weapons. And quite frankly our nation feels insulted by that comment. Our best wishes go to the rebels for their continued success. Soviet Canukstani borders have been tightened and the military is on full alert.

To Donesk: Put away your nuclear armaments, Soviet Canukastan does not have any nuclear weaponary. All our uranium is used in ammo, armour and electricity.

We have sent $5000000 in medical supplies, food and drinks for the citizens in Smolny who are now homeless and cold thanks to the aggressive campaign by the Coalition.

TO: Allied Cornith
FROM: Feldmarshal Rudolf Küll

I have mobilized to Cornith 5,000 Bundeswehr Soldiers, 2,000 Schultzpolizei Soldiers, 12 Leopard 2A5 Main Battle Tanks, and 10 Pz2000 200mm Artillery Guns for use at your disposal. Supreme Command has issued a warning to all rebels and all supporters of the rebels: "Smolny is a free nation. It will remain a free nation. We will not recognize the existence of this weak rebel state. What was once a Communist rebellion has turned into a conglomerate of random nations fighting our coalition. The purpose is not quite clear; however, North Germanian forces will remain in Smolny until the government is restored. Peace and stability have nearly been aquired. Any further attacks will have serious repercussions."

Soviet Canukastan: You already did use chemical weapons when you used cyanide on Layerteb.

The proof shall be presented though.

In the possession of these two POWs:

Various weaponry ranging from knives to pistols to fiber wire.
One wallet with documents stamped by the Sov. Cau. government.
Orders from Sov. Cau. general, in paper form, to report to a lat-long set of coordinates near Petrograd.
Confessions, signed and not forced though obtained through use of sodium penathol.
Chemical burn on one of them. Chemical burn was analyzed and cyanide was a positive match.

Our assumption is that these are Black Op forces, most likely non-existant as our own are.

We invite representives from each friendly nation to view these POWs to see that they have not been mistreated, if they desire so. We must emphasize though that we will take you to the place secretly and not only must you not speak of the facility but we must blindfold you throughout the duration of the journey.

Layarteb has a strict policy on the use of WMD (chem, bio, nuclear, radiation, etc). We have our weapons as a defensive measure and not for first-strike measure. We have the ability to undergo first-strike but do not excercise this option. However, if we are attacking using WMD we reserve the right to use whatever means necessary and available against our attackers.

Cynaide counts as a chemical attack and thus we invoke our right. We do not necessarily need to use it but it is now on the table.

TO: Allied Nations
FROM: Reichchancellor Wilhelm Einheit, III

I hereby invite all allied nations send either the leaders of their countries, or their top officials, to a conference to be held in the city of Veisser, North Germania. The leaders of the nations of Hirgizstan, Layerteb, Everonia, Donesk, Tokarev, Syncomp15, and Hattia are officially invited to attend. The conference will discuss a mass attack by all nations on Chaliska City and the Red Zone. A simultaneous strike by all allied nations against Chaliska City and the Red Zone would completely crush the rebellion. Further details will be discussed at the meeting, to be held in the Reich Chamber in the capital city of Veisser.

Sincerly,
Reichchancellor Wilhelm Einheit, III

We don't control Chaliska city?, well....

The Outskirts of Chaliska City

Vaceslav yelled, "Direct the artillery onto that hotel!" He ran back behind a T-90 and asked the radioman for the news. "Our artillery are breaking their lines." "We attack now, order and infantry attack." The radioman cringed as the building collapsed. Hinds and Migs were strafing the enemy and T-90s were attacking their fortifications.

Above Mount Bludevka, a bomber squad is flying over the clouds in the night. The only light that can be seen is the blue glow from the consoles in front of the pilots.

B-52 Bomber Pilot Fritz: Petrograd, this is B-52 squad C, target aquired.

Petrograd Command: Confirm that, squad C, unload package.

B-52 Bomber Pilot Fritz: Confirmed. Schmidt, bombs away.

A plethora of 2 ton bombs empties out of the belly of the B-52. The 3 B-52's following it subsequently unload. 12 lower-flying MiL-1 fighter/bombers empty their bombs and missiles on the target.

B-52 Bomber Pilot Fritz: Petrograd, bombs unloaded, target destroyed.

Petrograd Command: Confirmed, head home.

The last rebel base on Mount Bludevka was destroyed, leaving only a crater in the huge mountain.

In the skies over the Smolnyan Steppes, two bomber squads were responding to air support requests from ground forces...

Panzercommandier: Squad 1, request air support 2 km north of our location, 12km northwest.

B-52 Bomber Pilot Reitzel: Confirmed, ETA on squad A, 12 minutes.

B-52 Bomber Pilot Heltz: Roger that. ETA squad B, 22 minutes.

In a few minutes, the last remaining bases in the Smolnyan Steppes would be gone. Complete control of the region south of the Red Zone was only 22 minutes away.

Aboard the Nimitz Class Carrier Glücker in the Smolnyan Sea, Admiral Hacke was giving a strike order to 30 MiL-1 fighter/bomber pilots inside the briefing room.

Admiral Hacke (pointing to a map of Smolny): You are to strike at the primary rebel base in Chaliska City, on the Eastern Border of the city. He have reports that Hattian troops are under fire. Knock out all artillery and all other ground defenses in the region. (Now pointing to satellite imagery) Here are pictures of the rebel base and artillery locations. We see no stationary SAM sites, but it's very possible the enemy could have mobile anti-air systems. Good luck.

On the deck of the Glücker, the last jet had taken off and they were en route to Chaliska City...

Rigov- "Not a problem, we are in this war together, consider this our thankyou for saving our pilot."

Hecke- "Not a problem sir. Say, are your two men going to be alright?"

Rigov- "They sure are, they might not see combat here again, but they will live."

Rigov- "Very well, say Hecke, do you need a lift to your nearest base?"

Above Chaliska city, 28 MiL-1 fighter/bombers are returning to the Glücker in the Smolnyan Sea. The rebel base in Chaliska City was highly damaged, and 80% of the artillery positions and ground defenses had been taken out. There had been two mobile SAM sites which had destroyed two MiL-1 fighters. However, Hattian forces in the east were cleared to launch a ground offensive into the city.

At the Layarteb IAP, the senior military officials were speaking with the Soviet-Canukastani rebels. After interrogations by all of the Germanian officials, they finally send in Einheit for one last try. The stocky 6'3" tall First Class General Einheit walks inside a bare room with one of the Soviet-Caukastani soldiers, who is seated in a chair in the middle of the room. He takes his coat and hat off, and holds them. He is followed by three First Class Bundeswehr Soldiers. His piercing blue eyes stare into the S.C. Soldier's own. He introduces himself as North Germanian First Class General Ludwig Einheit. The soldier does not respond...

Einheit (speaking with a thick German accent in Russian): I see you Soviet-Canukastani's are quite impolite. Very well, we can skip the etiquette. We know of the plans for your future chemical weapons usage. There is no sense in denying it. You must now tell me where the weaponry is stationed in Chaliska city. We know the weapons are not in any rebel base in the Northern countryside. There is no point in lying to me. Tell me, now.

S.C. Soldier: I don't know what you are talking about.

<Einheit slaps him with a gloved hand. The soldier's head is thrown to the left. He looks back at the general and is slapped again. He stands up to hit the general, but a Bundeswehr Soldier hits him hard in the stomach with the butt of his gun. The soldier falls backwards to the ground.>

Einheit: I see you are not the talkative type. Perhaps you would like to continue our conversation in Petrograd with the rest of the rebels?

<The soldier's eyes glance up quickly to the general, but look back down just as quickly as they had came up. He stands back up slowly and glances at the general again.>

Einheit: Ahh...I see you are quite familiar with the name. We know you have plans to gas our city. Do you think we would allow some thing so horrific to happen to our own people and the people of Smolny? Where are the weapons?

S.C. Soldier: I don't have them.

<Einheit hits the soldier square in the nose. The soldier falls backwards, but is caught by Bundeswehr soldiers.>

Einheit: If you were half as smart as your tongue, you would have told me the first time I asked. Good luck breathing through that nose, du Schwein. (Now speaking to a Bundeswehr Soldier who is smoking a cigarette): Herr Joachim, stellst du deine Zigarette am sein Hande.

<Two soldiers grab the S.C. Soldier from behind, while Bundeswehr Guard Joachim takes the soldier's hand and puts his cigarette out on it. The soldier tries to break free but is held tightly by the large Germanian guards. He does not scream, but sweat is beading on his forehead, and he is shaking slightly. The guard throws the cigarette to the floor and stamps on it. Joachim then slaps him hard in the face.>

Einheit: You have not slept in three days. The four of us are quite well rested and have been eating well, also. We can keep this up if you would like.

<The Soviet-Canukastani soldier looks up and spits on Einheit. Einheit pulls a hankerchief out of his pocket and calmly wipes the spit off his face.>

Einheit: Very well.

<Einheit removes a thin metal switch from his belt. He extends is to its full length of 3 feet and flexes it. He then speaks to the Bundeswehr guards and tells them to take the soldier's shirt off. Joachim cuts it off with his bayonet.>

Einheit: Since your command has been kind enough to use cyanide on our allies, I will be kind enough to repay the favor.

<Einheit switches his back repeatedly for 15 seconds. Blood begins to leak down the soldier's back. Einheit removes a small bag of salt and throws it on the man's wounds. The soldier screams and tears begin to slowly leak out of his tightly shut eyes.>

Einheit: Perhaps now you will be willing to speak a bit more freely, yes?

S.C. Soldier: I...don't...know.

<Joachim steps back and removes a black leather whip. He whips him several more times. More salt is thrown on his back.>

The Soviet-Canukastani soldier finally gives in.

S.C. Soldier (speaking with difficulty): They are located in the central rebel base of Chaliska City...I'm sure your satellites already know where that is. They are being stored underground in the facility...

Einheit: Go on...

S.C. Soldier: It is heavily guarded. The entrance to the underground bunker is guarded by 4 soldiers at the door...an additional 15 are inside. There are many tanks and artillery inside the city. Most of the rebel forces have moved there. The bases in the northern forest have been abandoned.

First Class General Einheit: Thank you. You are a good soldier and represent Soviet-Canukastan well. This would have been much worse if you were captured in Petrograd. Herr Joachim, versenden ihm noch ein Krankenhaus, jetzt. Aus!

<The soldiers drag the Soviet-Canukastani man out of the room to.>

First Class General Einheit puts his coat and hat back on and walks out into the cold to speak with Layarteb Officials.

Einheit: I have been told chemical weapons are being stored in the central rebel base in Chaliska City. I have also been told the rebels are reforming there and that the bases in the northern forest surrounding Velty Lake have been abandoned. This soldier may need a bit of medical assistance. Is there a hospital nearby? Cigarette, any one?

Allie Meeting Soviet Canukastan POWs

The C-17 was sitting on the tarmac, total darkness in the sky above. The NH-90 and Tigre's had only just landed six minutes ago. Out of the NH-90 climbed ten soldiers, armed with the finest in Germanian weaponry. They were soldiers from the Bundeswehr Guard, escorting four representatives of Germania to the destination. The two representatives from Everonia had been on the ground thirty-eight minutes. They were waiting in a staging area inside one of the hangars, where their helicopters had been rolled and stored, just as those of Germania would be. Under the direction of a soldier dressed completely in black, armed with a single M4 Carbine. "Come this way please." He hoped they spoke English and they did. They acknowledged and followed, the guards protecting their four officers well.

They entered the hangar to see a Layarteb general and five soldiers standing in front of a row of chairs. There were enough left for the Germanian personnel, who filled in the rows as directly.

"Gentlemen," the general spoke, "I am glad you could all make it. As you are aware we have two soldiers from Soviet Canukastan. They are part of those responsible for the attack on our artillery bases around Corinth and also directly responsible for a cyanide attack. A burn on one arm of the soldiers revealed the presence of cyanide, which is responsible for the burn. We have other evidence, which will all be further presented at the location. We will refer to it only as the 'destination.' There are three rules which you must ALL agree to. If you agree not, you will not go! First, you will all wear a black hood throughout the entire duration of this trip, until you arrive at the destination. You will remove it after you are safely inside and then you will put it back on when you leave. Does everyone agree to rule one? I want you all to say it."

"Yes." It was repeated twenty times by the fourteen Germanian personnel and the six Everonian personnel.

"Very well. Rule number two. You will never speak of this place to anyone and none of you will be allowed to wear the clothes with which you have come in. We will take no chances with hidden surveillance equipment. Weaponry will be thoroughly screened as well. Does everyone agree?"

The next twenty "Yes" statements came with more uncertainty but they all agreed.

"Excellent. Last one. Rule number three. See these men all in black around this area? They do not exist and they will never exist. They are in charge, it is their way or shall we say the highway. Each one is elite, the best of the best. These men all qualify with every weapon available, friendly and OPFOR. Their names matter not but they are of no consequence. They will say if asked but mind you they do not like it. They have each trained rigorously and must achieve thirty out of thirty kill shots with a single magazine of an M4. That means they can shoot thirty people and kill them with a single magazine. They are masters of martial arts and knife fighting. Trust me you will NOT want to get on their bad side. Clear?"

"Yes." These came with less hesitance than the second question.

"Very well. They will lead you to assigned areas in the side of this hangar where you will change your clothes and where you will also be passed through an X-Ray machine as well as other sensing devices. Your helicopters will be brought in here and kept safe, under the guard of top notch soldiers in our Special Forces units. Your pilots may rest and relax. We have a make-shift barracks set up in the rear of the hangar with television, radio, and food. They will not hesitate to ask if they need something. I will meet you out here in fifteen minutes."

The six men, all dressed in black, were part of the elite 1st Black Operations Unit. The unit was broken into many small teams, operating in size from six to ten. The smaller the team, the more deadly they were individually. They lead the twenty people to the assigned rooms, which had plenty of windows, all covered in black construction paper. Inside, X-Ray cameras and such searched them as they changed for hidden surveillance devices. Nothing was found and they reemerged on time and joined the general and the six men, who led them to the C-17. They all climbed aboard and sat down, buckled in and when given their 'OK' they were all hooded. The red light of the inside of the C-17 was now gone to them, they were in a world of nothing but black.

"Gentlemen. I hope you have a pleasant journey." The general sat down in his own seat with the six men and the rear door was closed. The C-17 began to move, slowly towards the runway, where four F-15Cs had just taken off and four F/A-22As were awaiting take-off clearance.

The C-17 jolted down the runway and took off in the night sky, climbing immediately to a height of twenty-two thousand feet. Then, it began the journey. None of the twenty representatives knew how long the trip lasted for they were all stripped of their watches, which were placed with their clothes, safe in a locked room back at the hangar, where a soccer game broke out between the pilots. Everonia was winning 2 - 1 at the end of the first half.

When it landed, the general let out a sigh of relief. "I always did hate landing. Well gentlemen, it won't be long now, just a few more minutes to taxi, exit, and board a convoy, which will take us to the facility." The twenty representatives were all taken and escorted across the tarmac to four awaiting Black Hawk helicopters, which then ferried them to the 'destination.' They deboarded and entered the facility, allowed to take off their masks after a trip down an elevator.

"Gentlemen I want to thank you for your patience and understanding. You may remove those masks."

They did so and were brought to a pair of jail cells, where the two POWs were being held. They were sleeping but were easily awoken by the sound of an opening door.

interrogations by all of the Germanian officials, they finally send in Einheit for one last try.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the six men came out of the room and unslung the M4 Carbine from his back. It was equipped with a supressor, an M203 grenade launcher, and an M68 AIMPOINT scope on the rear sight area. He had another weapon on his back, an M21 sniper rifle.

"So you are a sniper?" One of the Bundeswehr soldiers asked.

"I am." The man returns.

"What is your name? I feel that we owe a lot to you and your soldiers. I am Henrich Hardt."

"Jack Delaney. Pleasure to meet you."

"Yes sir it is." They shook hands. "So is there an infirmary here?"

"Indeed. We'll bring him there immediately. We commend you on your interrogation abilities. Personally I'd rather see him suffer and die but you know these rules of war. We have to treat this scum, this s*** like a human being."

"I agree. Did you lose anyone personal in the artillery lines?"

"Only a friend, but since I joined this unit I have no friends but the ones in my unit."

"Well you have a friend in Germania Jack. You and I are quite similiar in our views of these scum. We should just eradicate them and rightfully so but you know how that goes."

"Yes I do. That's why I am in this unit. In here there are no rules of war."

"Very well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everonian interrogators questioned the second POW and found much of the same information, just more of what the involved of Soviet Canukastan was. They learned of what supplies would be shipped and when they would be and how. This information was immediately relayed to ground forces in the Smolny theater. While train lines were out of operation due to the strikes by Layarteb Black Ops, some of the roads were still transitable. A convoy of vehicles, disguised as a series of buses from an elementary school would be coming. Only sick individuals would involve children in this. It was up to Layarteb Black Ops to sort this one out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The flight back was different in time than the flight there and taken with the same precautions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile on road 338. The six men were dug in along the trenchlines with an extra four in the trees, hidden. They were all hidden.

Three school buses approached, filled with children as they could see through the night vision and thermal goggles that they were equipped with. They had strict orders: Stop the convoy, seize and destroy the weapons, and bring the children safely back to the Layarteb base where they could be asked questions about those that stacked the weaponry in the buses and then be sent home to their families, wherever they were.

The plan was to shoot out the tires on the buses, which would stop the convoy without injuring anyone inside. It was done through twelve shots from the rifles in the trees. None of the shots were heard because of the supressors on their M4s. Glass had been thrown down on the ground, to give the idea that it was the glass that blew out the tires.

The three drivers and six soldiers exited the buses. Now was the time. The six men dug in along the road popped out and shot the nine men without warning or without hesitation, killing them all with a single shot to the head each. The other four men were in the trees and they kept a look out while three of the men cleared the buses. The children were scared, more of the weaponry in the backs of the buses and under the seats than of the men in black.

The children were gathered in a makeshift tent that was assembled approximately sixty-five yards from the road. Chinooks and Littlebirds were inbound to airlift the children back to the base. The weaponry was inspected and catalogged. It was mostly small arms, though RPGs, SA-18s, and documents were found in addition to many AK-47s and AKS-74Us. When the helicopters landed, the children were loaded aboard and flown back to the base, the weapons being destroyed then. The Black Ops unit returned to the night and vanished.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of the children were orphans. The rebels had killed many of their parents and the few that were still alive were unknown. The children had been taken by the rebels to a camp somewhere from the direction they came and were being used as collateral. If the base was destroyed, they would roll out the bodies of forty-four children and claim it was a refugee camp. They were shown various patches. These were worn by members of the rebel forces. They all identified them as being seen at the rebel base but there were additional patches shown, those of the allies and those of Soviet Canukastan. The children all pointed to the patch of Soviet Canukastan.

Due to the fact that none of them knew where their actual parents were and that many of them were killed, the children was immediately airlifted to Layarteb, where they would be refugees until the war was over. One child looked at the crew chief on the C-5 transport and smiled: "You save us. You are good guys?"

He nodded and said, "Yes we are. Everything is alright now."

"Thank you." The child hugged the crew chief, who hugged back. There was good in this war after all, he thought.

Cpl. Petrov was lurking through an alley with one of his squadmates, Pvt. Vladivosk to scout out enemy positions. For some reason his squadmate fell to the ground coughing violently. He remembered Gas Warfare training at the Academy, "GAS GAS!" He ran back down the alley while trying desperately to pull his mask out of his bag, all the while shouting "GAS!" He managed to get it out and pull it over his face" He looked at the men, all of them had managed to get their masks on in time. He walked back down the alley and tried to drag his friend back to the vehicles, he could hardly breathe in the mask. He pulled out his revolver and shot the Private...

One of the Generals men started shouting something about gas.. "Oh sh*t" He pulled out his mask and shoved it onto his face.

Everonia is bringing in food relief and setting up refugee camps in the Corinthian Range, it is a very empty region, perfect for these camps. Medical centers are being set up on the fringes of Corinth, and Everonian Army Engineers (7,000 men and Machines) are repairing bridges, ports, and building housing and schools. We hope we can give these poor people some sense of what it was like before this horrible war was brought apon them.

ooc: finally back. great summary Layarteb! keep up the great work. Plus i see that my thread didnt go to hell while i was gone. thats good.

IC: Smolny recognizes the lordship of Czar Soran N. Seveskov over the lands of Smolny. In addtion, a POW camp-code named "Kolyma" has been built in Donesk. It is requested that all POWs captured by the Allied Nations be sent to Kolyma for the duration of the war for interrogation and and possible trial of treason against the state. If the POW is of a foreign power they will only be detained until the war is over or a agreement has been reached between the involved parties.

Also, a band of partisans has contacted the governments of Smolny and Donesk in order to offer their services in bringind down the rebels and their supporters.

Smolny and Donesk issue one final warning to those who aid the rebels. If you do not cease your actions, and leave Smolny, we have authorized the use of nuclear weapons on your citizens. The Czar grows irritated at your general disrespect of the borders of Smolny and the soveriegty of its people. His Excellency demands a peace be agreed to between all parties involved by 11/23 or face the nuclear arsenal of the Empire of Donesk.

The state of war between Smolny and Hattia has been dissolved due to their refusal to continue aid to the rebels and for the aid given to the Allies. We offer our support to you Hattia and the whole of the Allied Nations.

Hirgizstanian losses, a rough rounded up estimate:
200 KIA
400 Wounded
2 Tanks destroyed
12 LCAV's destroyed
2 Heliopters out of action.

The Parliament buildings were not assaulted, due to two nights of constant bombardement a crowd of rebel soldiers came up, out of the building, they looked haggard, tired and defeated. There were visible signs of leadership, the clothes, the manner. After a swift interrogation, we have found out that the OIC of the rebel forces in Corinth has fled, they say he went to a base near a mountian, and i think we know which one that is. Another officer was executed and the rest, 72 in all, have been sent on a convoy to Kolyma.
My forces are done in Corinth now, some will stay but i offer the rest to anyone who needs them?

The forces of North Germania entered Western Chaliska city today, storming through weakly-positioned defenses and capturing over 100 enemy soldiers. The Western rebel base was also blitzed by a hail of tank and artillery shells from over 50 Leopard 3 Heavy Tanks and 20 Pzh2000 200mm artillery guns. Infantrymen armed with machine guns and mortars supported the tanks and artillery by shooting and killing any infantry seen. Germanian soldiers, after the main battle ended, were greeted by a bombardment of Chaliskan women, many carrying drinks, food, flowers, and other goods to thank the soldiers. There were no reports of unhappiness of the Germanian forces' presence in Chaliska City. Intelligence reports gather that around 80 - 88% of the city is in control by allied forces.

ESPK Soldiers have been operating around the clock in Chaliska City, searching buildings and houses for suspected rebel forces. 16 Rebel Officials were captured in Chaliska City. The officials and all other rebels captured are currently being sent, in a huge convoy of armed vehicles all full of prisoners, to the Hecklerstein POW camp in Petrograd.

SUMMARY ON PAGE 18
Layarteb
21-11-2003, 22:32
With a new year came a new budget for Layarteb, enough money to rebuild their military losses from Smolny. All of these would be ready in a few months (Sunday RL). Construction from the previous year was complete and it successfully doubled the number of bombers, added an additional 100 F-16s, many cargo aircraft, 300 LCACs, and 160 additional F-15C Eagles.

Layarteb units in Smolny were running patrols around Corinth with Hirgizstan forces, though barely any part of the city was left remaining. It would take quite a bit of money and Layarteb had allocated, to Smolny, the sum of $129.03B for reconstruction in Corinth. We know it isn't much but it's all we can offer. Luckily our international spending is very limited and we did not spend as much as we expected to last year, thus giving us a surplus.

Elsewhere in Smolny, Layarteb Black Ops and Rangers have been running raids on possible rebel encampments in towns and villages. They have netted 300 rebel soldiers and seized approximately 2,000 assault rifles, 1,600 machine guns, 1,200 RPGs with their respective parts, 800 anti-tank mines, and approximately 5 litres of cyanide poison. The cyanide was tested and compared to that used by Soviet-Can to see if there is a match. The results were positive by 98%.

Most of the fighting is up north and while no request was made by any forces up north for help from our bomber force we still will be willing to help with such matters whenever we are needed. Naval forces in the region have fighters from two carriers and are within range of striking in the Red Zone at any given point in time.

Army helicopters have mostly been using in CAS missions for Rangers and Airborne troops operating in the mountains, valleys, and elsewhere.

OOC: Summary updated...
North Germania
21-11-2003, 23:19
North Germania requests bomb runs by Layarteb in the Mountains west of Chaliska City. Have encountered enemy fire from the west, light, but a deployment of the forces already in Chaliska City would be required to remove their presence. North Germanian Intelligence believes that the 4th Armed Korps Division in Chaliska City is only a few miles West of the chemical weapons storage point. All ground forces are wearing chemical weapons protective gear. Again, a bomb run against Western rebel forces would be much appreciated.

General Vaceslav was sitting in a large hotel in Chaliska City, "Damn, how much longer can those fortifications hold up?" talking to no one in particular. He looked at his map, "Hmm" He walked out and over to his tank, turned on the radio. "This is the General, all tanks follow me." He climbed out of it and shouted for his crew to get in.

A few minutes later

The tanks were assembled 50 T-90s and 25 BMP-3s. The General got a tape out of his pocket and inserted it into the radio and set it to play over the loudspeaker. He turned it all the way up. "Follow me!" He ordered his driver to go forward down the main road. He turned the radio on and "The Ride of the Valkyries" blared over it. "CHARGE!"

A small tank company, spearheading the 1st Divisions assault on Chaliska makes it to a hill overlooking the city. Colonel Dmitri Lukov opens his hatch on his T-90, he looks through his binoculars. He sees hattia's forces making their charge.

Lukov: "Ah, the Hattians attack now, without us? Hah, it is a race I see, one that I shall win."

Lukov gets on his radio;

Lukov: "Attention all units, line up in Vee formation, platoons 1 and 3 on the left of me, 2 and 4 on my right. IS3 units, set up positions here and bombard the rebels. Everyone, charge the city! Stay alert, and shoot anything that isn't friendly! Follow my lead!"

12 T-90, 36 T-72, and 8 BMP-3's charge the city from the South East, the IS3 platoon softens rebel positions, sending them fleeing into the mountains.

It was the dead of the night when the Black Hawk landed. Out dropped six men, all dressed in black. They were the same six men that assault the bus convoy a few weeks earlier. They had one mission, to scout out the mountains west of Chaliska city for air defenses and enemy presence for Layarteb Air Force bombers. They had to act quickly, the whole conflict was being knawed down to this and it was time to act quickly and decisively.

Nice Helicopter :D

"Red 1 to General Vaceslav, you think we are going to let those helicopters have all of the fun, we are on route, just give us a target." Vaceslav smiled and radioed a BMP to get a guy with a laser designatior out and target enemy buildings that couldn't be overrun and destroyed quickly, since he had to maintain his momentum.

Vaceslav's column was advancing quickly, the pure power of a charge like that made some rebels flee for their lives, most of them didn't get very far. They were overrunning enemy fortifications with help from the Hinds.

Vaceslav's losses.

The small Tokarev armored unit moves slowly and silently throught the mountains into the Red Zone. The men were on edge, looking for sitings of an enemy ambush in the night. So far there had been no sign of rebel forces in the mountains, even after the full naval bombardment. Suddenly, troops movement was reported by one of the forward scouts.

The Tokarev forces quickly arranged themselves in a well-coordinated ambush, and called the coordinates to distant Howitzers to give some covering fire if need be.

They had to be careful, as they knew friendly units were operating in the area as well.

Thread death? Where are you guys?
24-11-2003, 13:46
it's not really fun fighting against imaginary rebels. Ah well. Same crap:

120 T-72s
25 Scud Missiles
5 Mobile Missile Launcher
800 heavy MGs
1300 Rocket Launchers
9000 AT-7 Saxhorn rockets
1000 AT-14 Rockets. (Russian Army claims it can pierce 1100 to 1200 mm of steal armour protected by explosive armour. ;) eat that)
$500000 in supplies

On an interesting note... the rebels seem to be getting an abundence of drugs from various clients. And the drug use amongst the coalition is steadly rising... I wonder...

24-11-2003, 19:32
We, The Nation of Who's Da Daddy have decided to become involved in this long drawn out conflict.

We will help assist the peace keeping operation that is under way by the Hirgizstanian and Layartebian Armed forces.

I know we have joined in a little late in this conflict, however our assistance was asked for by our close ally, Higizstan.

We are immediately dispatching 2000 troops; the Territorial Army.

We have a rather large army, however deem this situation all but under control, that and our military is on action elsewhere, mainly anti-terrorist missions.

The Hirgizstanian military have control over this force, use them wisely and as you know, ally, any mistreatment over our troops will be taken VERY seriously.

Any needed reinforcements that are needed, will be sent ASAP, just wire me.

Good luck and Godspeed.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in a while, have been out of town.

The North Germanian Armored Column, consisting of 15 Leopard 2A5 MBT's, 8 Leopard 3 Heavy Tanks, 10 Fuchs Transporters, and 20 Marder Fighting Vehicles, was speeding towards the central rebel base in Chaliska City. The tanks did not bother to stop before firing their shells. Rebel defenses were being rolled over at an alarming rate. North Germanian MI-28 Havoc helicopters provided air support. Suddenly, in what appeared to be once a park, a large concrete building had been constructed in the center. Mortar rounds fired out of it and struck one of the Leopard 2A5 MBT's, destroying its gun, but leaving everyone inside still living. The rest of the column opened fire on the base. The Fuchs Transporters unloaded, and a team of 40 ESPK Soldiers stormed towards the front of the building. There was a steel sliding door blocking the inside of the base. One ESPK soldier placed a dynamite charge in the center of the door, while the rest of the group took cover. The door blasted inwards, the charge leaving nothing in its place. The ESPK Force stormed the building, encountering small arms fire as they entered. The rebels weren't expecting an infantry attack, and many were unprepared. Most surrendered, while the rebels manning mortar positions were hit in the back by North Germanian fire. After the captured rebels were taken out of the building, a thorough search was performed by Germanian troops. What they found was frightening: crates of artillery shells filled with VX Nerve Gas, Anthrax, cyanide, weapons-grade plutonium rods, syringes, microscopes, blood samples, and maps of Cornith and Petograd. Inside a locked room were 35 POW's of various backgrounds. Some were Layarteb troops, some Everonian, some Hattian, some Smolnyan...

ESPK Lieutenant Schmidt: Leeb, radio a message to all allied forces in Chaliska City. Get Everonian, Layarteb, and Hattian forces in here. Tell them we found the chemical and biological weapons. Also found a lot of POW's. Tell them to send medical aid and tell them to bring troops with them. Tell them to head towards Kosorov Park in central Chaliska City. Make sure they know those are our tanks outside the base.

ESPK Soldier Leeb: Confirmed.

Leeb radios to the other nations. Until they arrived, very little medical aid could be given to the POW's, and ESPK soldiers would not go near the biological and chemical weapon crates. Outside of the base, an explosion was heard, followed by machine gun fire and the sounds of tanks firing their main guns.

Lieutenant Schmidt: Leeb! Get ten guys out there, and find out what that damn noise is about.

Outside, groups of rebels were appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Some came out of buildings, others ran on the street. All of them were firing on the armored column. Smoke filled the air, and some of the nearby buildings were on fire...

Gen. Nikolai read the reports from Chaliska City, he picked up his radio and connected to Gen. Vaceslav. "General, this is Nikolai, we've gotten reports that the North Germanians have found POWs and Bio/Chem weapons. Also, they are taking fire so send some troops there to help them" "Sir we can have the medics, Hazmat teams, and troops there in 15 minutes." "Good, now get going".

Vaceslav changed the frequency on the radio. "Hazmat Company 1, report to Kosorov Park, Combat Medic Company 2 report to the park, and 5th Hat Guard Company, also head to the park, there are biochem weapons there and POWs."

In Kosorov Park...

Many of the rebels attacking the convoy had been killed while engaging North Germanian forces. However, many of the tanks were forced to temporarily retreat and reorganize outside of the park. A light snow was falling and all that remained in the area were the 40 highly trained ESPK soldiers...

ESPK Soldier Leeb <while ducking behind a pile of concrete rubble>: We need to get into that building!

He points at an abandoned warehouse. Inside of it were rebels shooting out of broken windows.

Leeb: Everyone follow me! Stay close.

Leeb and 15 ESPK Soldiers sprint across the street while taking heavy fire. Before they get to the warehouse, Leeb and two other soldiers each toss two grenades through broken windows. One is thrown back and explodes in mid-air. Explosions from the other 5 can be heard inside of the warehouse. A smoke grenade is thrown in following the grenades. The ESPK soldiers kick through the front door with their masks on. Machine guns go off inside and two of the soldiers are wounded. The rest open fire, killing the remaining troops. Inside the warehouse are 10 T-90 tanks.

Leeb: Man those tanks, put soldiers Schlectsinger and Fürmann inside. Follow me, we're going to clear a path for the Hattian forces. The tanks storm out of the building and begin to open fire on the now tired and beaten rebels. Resistance begins to lighten, and the rebels begin a full retreat towards Hattian troops.

Leeb (speaking through a radio): Take the injured inside the base. Everyone out, we'll get these tanks later. Leeb peered around the park, and saw a great relief. The Hattian Medic convoy. He lit a cigarette and flagged them down...

The forward BMP saw the retreating rebels and opened up with its machine guns and 20mm cannon.

The lead Ambulance BMP saw the soldiers waving them down. The driver drove it over, popped his head out and asked where the Biochem weapons were. While they were talking a few medics jumped out of the back. The picked up the wounded soldiers and carried them back to the BMP. "Schlectsinger will live, but I'm not sure Fürmann will. His leg is torn up pretty badly, We are going to have to operate." The head doctor looked at his assistant. "Give him some morphine to keep him calm"

Leeb: Mir falgen. Come this way, please.

Leeb pulls on his mask and proceeds into the base.

Leeb: You will have to forgive the company, but I and Fürmann are the only English speakers here. Unfortunately, Fürmann took a few large machine gun rounds in the leg, as you probably saw. In any case, I will translate to you anything the North Germanian soldiers have to say that is relevant. I think some of them are actually playing cards now...<Leeb clears his throat> Into this room please, gentlemen.

Inside a dimly-lit concrete room, three ESPK Soldiers in Bio-Chem suits are examining artillery shells and the Plutonium rods. They speak to Leeb in the North Germanian tongue.

Leeb: They say they wish for you to examine what they've found. <There is a pause in what he is saying as the soldiers speak more> They say that the Plutonium is weapons-grade and could be made into a nuclear ICBM very easily. I will let you proceed now...
Hattia
25-11-2003, 01:41
Tolstoy walked over to the rods and pulled out some tools. He selected a Geiger Counter and ran it over the rods. "Your soldiers are right, this is weapons grade, and really good stuff I might add, I wonder how they managed to come by it. It would be really expensive. Let's be happy they didn't get a chance to make a weapon out of it and use it on us. I am going to call a transport to come and pick it up, it really isn't safe to keep it here."
North Germania
25-11-2003, 01:50
Leeb: Agreed. However, I must speak with my commanding officer before you take all of it. I am sure that North Germanian scientists would like to examine some of it and determine its origin. Perhaps you would not mind our taking a small portion of the rods? There is also another room you have not yet seen as of now. Come this way, please.

Leeb walks down a long corridor into another dimly lit concrete room. Inside are two ESPK medics doing their best to treat the POWs' wounds.

Leeb: We found them here like this. We have identified 6 to be our own men. Are any of them your soldiers?
Hattia
25-11-2003, 02:01
"Of course you can have some, after all you captured it. But I still think we should move out of the city first." Tolstoy followed Leeb down the hallway. When they got into the room Tolstoy said loudly "Любой из Вас хаттиан солдаты?" 3 men raised their hands, one of them said. "Мы - солдаты Хаттиан" Tolstoy turned to Leeb, these 3 are ours. He picked up his radio. "Я нуждаюсь в санитарах в здесь!" In a few seconds 6 medics rushed into the room. 3 helped the Hattians out into the transports and the others stayed and helped treat the other POWs.

Leeb: We appreciate your readiness. I am sure the Reichchancellor will not forget this action, once he hears of it. May I suggest we take the Plutonium to a secure location in Smolny? I am sure our nuclear scientists could easily be flown in to examine the material. Я благодарю вас снова для вашей помощи.

Leeb walks outside of the base. The sun is beginning to go down and the snow is falling more heavily. The Germanian armored column returns with more transports full of soldiers. They unload and begin to set up defense perimeters...

Tolstoy was rather suprised that Leeb spoke Russian. "It is a good idea that we move it. I believe the rumor is that in celebration of the finds today, the cooks will be serving potatoes and steak. They will probably surprise us with a dessert of some sort as well.

A transport carrying stoves, frozen goods, and packages marked "Kartoffeln". The Bundeswehr soldiers assembled the stoves, as well as the camp, both of which were placed in Kosorov Park. The cooks began to start their craft.

Leeb: Вы все очень гостеприимсво здесь!
Leeb: <Now answering his radio call, while shots from a submachine can be heard in the distance> Yes?...Very well....immediately!
Leeb: Tank kommandiers, man your tanks!

More shots are heard in the distance while 8 Leopard 2A5 tanks drive off towards from where the shots came. In Independence Square delegates from Donesk, Smolny and the United Communist Front are meeting to discuss peace after they have signed a cease-fire only minutes before.

Hostilities toward the United Communist Front have been suspended by both Donesk and Smolny and vice versa. All three are appealing for the rest of the Allies to do the same and to send a delegate to the peace conference that is expected to last quite a while.

After a long war. peace it seems is very close.

A diplomatic team from North Germania will be sent. A large amount of money will be sent to Smolny to help rebuild Petrograd and Chaliska City. Since a ceasefire has been obtained with the rebels, all North Germanian forces are being called back to the Fatherland. Hostilities have been officially labeled over in the Reich Chamber.

A total of 22 soldiers died in Chaliska City, two Leopard 2A5 tanks were disabled, 3 Marder Fighting Vehicles were destroyed. No aircraft losses. The North Germanian naval forces in the waters of Smolny will return to harbor at home. After a year and seven months at war, the soldiers are very relieved.

OOC: I think this is about right, please let me know if I missed anything.

OOC: Soviet-Can & Communist-Anarchism can you all post your losses thus far for the summary?
Layarteb
26-11-2003, 06:02
Well Layarteb Black Ops raids in the mountains were a success, as can be seen. We are glad this war is over and are sending delegates to the cease-fire ceremony to arrive at 0600 EST 11-26-03. Also we request samples of the Plutonium as well as the Chemical & Biological weapons, to analyze them with samples we have "found" belonging to Soviet-Can.

We will retain the following forces for peace-keeping in Corinth.

1st CD 3rd & 4th regiment
12 Humvee, 8 M1A1, 6 M2A3, 20 M113A3, 12 5-tone truck

2nd Airborne Wing 1st regiment
8 Apache Longbow, 4 Commanche, 8 OH-58D, 8 UH-60L

1st Airborne Division
16,000 soldiers

1st Black Operations Division
18 soldiers

1 CVBG & 1 AAG
LSS Elmont, 2 Ticonderoga, 2 Aegis, 2 OHP Class, 4 AOE class, 1 Iowa-class, 1 Wasp class, 2 LPD class, 5 other ships

1st NAW & 1st MAW (1st Regiments on both)
12 C-2A, 4 E-2C, 4 EA-6B, 4 EF-18G, 12 F-14D, 18 F/A-18C, 18 F/A-18E, 2 HH-60, 8 S-3B, 4 SH-60F, 4 AH-1W, 12 AV-8B+, 9 CH-53, 4 UH-1H

All other forces are returning to base. Air support will be provided by the fleet and ground support will be provided in Corinth by the ground forces. Our 1st Black Ops Division will remain top secret and classified about their operations but know they are running operations against supply lines from Soviet-Can.

All Layarteb soldiers have been screened for drugs and all turn up negative except for a few with marijuana and they will be punished severely, otherwise we are uncertain whether the drug claims made by Soviet-Can hold any weight as none of the enemy POWs we have captured have tested positive for drug use.

We also regret that the two POWs we captured and leaders of Everonia and North Germania interrogated have died. Apparently the location of the facility got out and a sweeper team was sent in from an unknown base. They too have died in the firefight.

Elsewhere.....
2 Ohio-class SSBN, 2 688/I-class SSN, and 2 Seawolf-class SSN are on fully alert at REDCON 3 (i.e. almost at war).

Also all of our bombers and ICBMs are on alert especially with the presence of WMD in Smolny.

I think we are assuming Peace Keeping roles now, ie nothing else is going to happen. Now I post my Thread Review:

PRO
-Excellent roleplay by allies
-Excellent overview, updates (layarteb)
-Excellent Maps (Me :))

CONS
-Due to trouble with internet connections, many people, including Smonly, were not able to contribute the the thread as much as I would like.
-No true opposition, there were no supporters who acted on part of the rebels for any length of time.

In conclusion I would like to congradulate all of you are on a sucessful victory. I hope to see you all sometime on the forums in the future. Does anyone want to form alliances/agreements for future conflicts? Im sure our nations/regions would benefit.

RGRT Everonia I think you hit the nail on the head very well. I wish we could have had the summary and the map at the beginning of the war but it was alright, we made up for it.

Secondly, I am selling 50 F-4E Phantom II fighters at $7.5M each. Normal price is $10M. This is exclusely for my allies in this conflict. These aircraft are in tip-top condition with 2000 flight hours remaining, minimal, per aircraft. They come fully armed with Sparrow's, Sidewinder's, iron bombs, Shrike's, laser-guided bombs, etc.

Thanks for the sale. Now I can get some more F-15s.

You all are welcome to join the NDP. I was the founding member of it. The NDP is the Nogovan Defence Pact. It was initially created so the countries of Nogova (My region) could have a common defence plan. over 30 countries are in it as of now. We recently allowed outsiders and regional allies to join too. This is the document as it is now:

The Nogovan Defense Pact (NDP)

This document is designed to help in the common defense of the region of Nogova and all official Alliances with other regions (ChinaJapan for instance).

Article I- Conditions of Activation

The following conditions constitute the activation of common defense:
- Military Invasion by forces by an foreign region(s).
- Terrorist or other "Insurgent" operations by foreign region(s).
- Region Crashing.
- Embargos and other political blocks intended to stop trade of food, minerals, medical supplies or foreign disaster relief.

Article II- Intervention

If/when a nation it attacked or is in imminent danger of being attacked, nations who are members of the NDP must intervene in the defense of that Nation, Nations or Region. Below are the definitions of "intervening":

- Support through diplomatic channels.
- Support through direct military action.
- Support through indirect military action. (Defined as air/rocket/artillery attacks).
- Support through peace keeping operations.
- Support through supply of money, arms, food and other supplies essential for war.
- Support through Black Operations, Surveillance (Recon, Satellite, captured/intercepted intelligence data) or guerilla warfare.

Article III- Definition of the enemy

Enemies of the NDP are defined as:

- Any nation, nations, or regions in direct attack of the allied nation, nations, or regions.
- Any nation, nations, or regions supporting the hostile forces. (Any type of support as listed in Article II are valid "support")
- Any nation, nations, or regions aligned with hostile forces.

Article IV- The NDP Pledge

I [your nation] hereby declare my nation as a member of the Nogovan Defense Pact. I swear to uphold all articles of this declaration with my living will. I will support any/all nations who are members of the Nogovan Defense Pact. I will carry through with the protection of the aligned nation, nations or regions until the hostile forces are repelled and utterly destroyed.

Negative, we accept communist, socialists, capitalists, everyone, is welcome as long as they abide by the rules and respect all other NDP nations soverngty. The only nations we worry about and dislike from joining are members of GODAD (sp?) and any nation's aligned with enemies. Nazi's are also not welcome. None of you fellow allies fall in the category of enemies, so all of you are welcome to join.

My nation would like to know exactly why Nazis are so hated by the regions joining the NDP?I find this a rather odd question from a man who hates communists, lets compare:

Communists
- Provide equality for the people
- Stable government
- If it works out well, the nation becomes a Utopia (The final step of communism calls for this)

Nazis
- Murderers of over 250 million people (If you count every death from the holocaust to the soldiers and civilians killed in WW2)
- Believe in "superior races" ie they are rascist and hate equality
- Highly militaristic, leading to wars and more genocides

That is why we hate nazis.

Stalin killed more people than Hitler did and in fact was the more unhinged one of the two. Not to say that I support Hitler, he was a madman but Stalin wasn't exactly a fuzzy teddy bear.

Communism though does more than what you say it does. It erases the individual, takes away all incentives to work hard and more because hte pay is always the same. Oh yeah! Communism also doesn't account for the fact that humans will NEVER be able to live in such a society where greed does not exist.

Stalin was a psychopath who managed to take over the communist party after Lenin's death. He didn't help make communism look great. Now you havn't explained why you like Nazi's so much. Are you unaffended by their behavior? They preach inequality, genocide and hate, how does this not offend you. And why do you hate socialist so much?

Yes my question still pends, why do you not accept Nazis, you just rang off some facts about the aftermarth of Hitler's Germany and one Nazi trait. I don't agree with Nazism but Nazism isn't Facism and facism is not what Mussolini did, he altered fascism, which is acceptable, as facism has no ground rules like say communism. I hate communists, to the very end for everything about them is wrong, Nazis i don't hate and i don't like them. The fact is i could very well be described as a warmongering nation, we all may be considered that, but still why not accept Nazis?

It is the stance of the Royal Imperial Government of Donesk that we are incapable of sending military troops to foreign nations until our commitment in Smolny is completed. Our Protectorate needs our fullest attention in order to rebuild from this destructive war.

However, the Royal Family of the House of Seveskov will send 1 million USD of its own funds to Hattia in aid of their conflict.

We send our deepest apologies that Donesk can not do more but even a nation as large as Donesk must focus its resources on rebuilding and not war.
