The FA-18s each launch 3 Pheonix Missiles (they go up very high then coming down from above the targets) at the retreating enemy planes. The missiles are guided by the AWACs radar. The FA/18s turn and return home awaiting the results of their missiles.

On the Decks of the USIHSPhantom and Edginton all availiable F-14s and FA-18s are loaded up with full Air to Air Missiles and begin scrambling. (Bout 48 F-14s and 72 F-18s coming up to engage).

OOC:How many F/A-18s were there?

Oh yes, if by "Pheonix" you mean the AIM-54C Phoenix, the F/A-18s can't use them.

OOC: Fine with me. Oh, and since the phoenix is my national animal, please try to spell it with the 'e' after the 'o'.

IC: 2 X-32s are damaged, a Su-43 goes down, the pilot ejects.

The remaining aircraft continue to speed away at Mach 1.5.

OOC the 2nd: I doubt you can now catch up with my fleeing aircraft.

OOC:If i call it the Pheonix then hopefully no one will get it confused with the Phoenix's on the real Aircraft (I use them as well). Also i wasnt gonna try catchin em up, just lockin the door after the horse has bolted :))

IC: The Defence Department has seen the need that more fire power in aircraft will be needed in Attica and has sent the USIHS Expectation with her new complement of 75 F-22S Sea Raptors to the area.
