The blimps were very interesting though... couldnt you just change the gas type from helium to a more lifting gas (i think there is some lighter than helium gases...) or just change the amount of weight the blimps can carry?? this would be farm more interesting than just deleting the idea from history all-together.

I've had several threads discussing the idea. It is just flat-out impossible to construct a practical-use sky base.

ok. its seems you've upgraded the quam 28 to the quam 38. Will both fit the same reloader? As I don't think I have production rights to the 28 I will probably need to acquire same for the 38 as we are now in a shooting war with the Dra-pol (thread "Unification II) and the Raysian Rf-11ds seem to be the most advanced in the air.

you might want to correct your RT-1707-180 Sea Plane facts. If coverted to a troop carrier, it can apparently hold 8000 troops!! :wink: :shock:

Even if it was meant to be 800, that design just wouldn't work. The pods are too circular - they need to be more hull shaped. The thing would skim along the surface of the water bob up and down for a bit, and then sink.
