*All over the nation of Kurai Nami, transmissions where interupted.
To show the Hazardous final burn, for to gain speed. People stopped what they where doing, to look at their televisions or the big screens. That where placed in all the major cities, there was a running commentary. In both text and speach, people on the streets in the capitol.
Drew a collective gasp as the ships engines glare intesified, the burn lasted for a full 5mins. And the commentary explaind that the burn would accelerate the hazardous to a full 2G's.*
There people goes our hopes and dreams, may she have luck on her voyages. *The commentator spoke as the glare from then engine died down*


*Aboard the Hazardous, the crew where netted in. Computors monitord every system and keeping an eye on the crew. Making sure that neither got under to much strain, once 2G's had been achived. The comp eased off on the netting, so that the crew could start to run manual operations, and make sure that nothing was amiss.*


OOC:Now how to continue this?? *thinks*, I hope to encounter someone or something.

*A week out and all systems operating as they should, Cassandra the captain and the crew had setteld in to a comfortable routine. Nothing was expected to happen, after all SETI had only found an automatic signal.
Hazardous would pass close to the origin of the signal. But since it was just repeating itself, none held any hopes of it being anything but a probe.
Cassandra looked at her watch, it was getting close to the end of her time on the bridge. When it was done, she ponderd her options. Get food from the airponics or sleep, what she really should do was make rounds. And make sure the crew had done their work, but she did'nt see the reson why. It was nessesary to stick to protocol, it was'nt like anyone would be as foolish as to mess up things. Cassandra stood up,stretched, supressed a yawn. And looked at the time again, only 15 more minutes. Perhaps she should amuse herself with watching asteroids come and go on the radar, guessing what they consisted of. With out using the equipment for mesuring density, or she could watch the stars more. It was just as well to confess, she was getting bored..*

OOC:I'm still working on things, but my race is humanoid yes. Evolved from cats (history still being worked on), Hazardous is the first ship to leave the system. And yes curiosity was peaked when the very first alien signal was recived by SETI, so meeting aliens would be a primary task. And if we don't well the scientific gains by just flying around will be huge..

Kerins slowly reached over and turned off the T.V. and looked at his partner.

"Can you believe it? Another Colossus. One of those behemoths is to much."

He was from Jimathon and didn't enjoy having his home team trumped in a wargame.

"Well, I think it's a good idea." Replied Bijic, his co-pilot. "There are a lot of bad dudes out there, we need to be prepared. This is a a great thing for the GA to do."

He was, of course, from Klonor, and couldn't think of anything better than the original Colossus.

"And another thing......."

"Oh ,what now? I thought these patrols were supposed to be nice, quiet things. Probably just another asteroid, to much (insert starship material here) and the computer always thinks its a ship."

"Better check it out just in case. There, it's on the screen."

They both just stare at the completely alien vessel for a few minutes.

"Jesus, what is that thing?"

"I don't know, I've never seen anything like it. Charge the turrets (all three of them. The patrols aren't that heavily armed) and open a communications channel."

"Channel Open."

"Attention alien ship. This is the GAP (hey, I just realised that Galactic Alliance Patrol spells GAP. And I'm suddenly a spokesman for a clothing store) Descent. We have sighted your ship, please identify yourself."

ooc- i decided to get involved sicne its been a while since ive done anything with my space fleet.

On the C.S.S Pegasus Admiral Madison watched the screen.
"Have all ships from the exploration fleet met up with our group?"
"Yes Admiral."
"Then change our heading to nearest jump point and head back home."
As they started to change course the radar man yelled something.
"Admiral unknown ship on long range radar."
"Launch some long range fighters to check it ou tand send out two sleek cruisers to check it out now"

The fighters and cruisers departed the group at full power to get in communications range with their short range communications and sent a message.
"This is the C.S.S. Freedom of the exploration fleet Underdark. Please Identify Yourself."
They remained weapons cold unless they were threatened.

*Asher just having released Cassandra, froze as she was about to sit down. Had she just heard the comm?, or was she just imagening things. Biting her lip she slowly stood up and looked towards the comm, well if she was imagening things then the incomming transmission light blinking.
Was just in her mind as well, slowly she walked from her co pilot seat towards the comm. Carefully as if the reciving button was a snake, Asher reached out and pressed it. Only for to jump back with a yelp as command deck was filled with the loud noise of incomprihensible words*

*Quickly pressing mute she ran stumbeling to her seat, fumbeling with her headset. Until she finally got it right* Captain we have something on the comm

*as she spoke, she turnd again. And first now saw the densitometer and radar where both indicating more than just space junk*

You better get here quickly *Asher did her best to compose herself and turnd the infrared on, just as a final confirmation, a few minutes later Cassandra stepped in. Looking like she just had awakend, giving Asher a glare that spoke tons*

This better not be another metal asteroid *she growled and looked at the radar, then the densitometer and finally the infrared*. By the claw! rouse the rest and lets hope that they don't want to kill us.

*As Asher did as told, Cassandra put on her headset and tried to understand the message, well they did'nt sound angry she determind. And decided to message back*

This is the KNSA Hazardous, we mean no harm. This is an expeditionary mission, again we mean no harm.

*She told the comp to repeat the message and then signald the engineer to stand ready, thank the gods she had orderd minum burn. To attempt a hasty retreat with a cold engine would have been difficult, now they atleast had a small chance should the other ship be unfriendly*..

"Well, listen to that jargon. You ever hear anything like it?"

"Yeah, sounds like the music my kids play. Turn on the universal translator, I'll repeat the message."

*While the laser strobed the first ship, the radar announced yet another ship. This discovery almost tipped the Hazardous into panic. Cassandra did her best to keep her calm, sending the message to that ship as well*

"These guys must be really low on the evolutionary ladder. Let's try some simple word association. Broadcast a picture of a human, and show him in our ship. Then broadcast the word 'human'. Maybe they'll understand."

Meanwhile the main group-
"Admiral the second group is ready."
"Ok tell them they deploy in one hour to assist if it isnt resolved."
"Why an hour?"
"Because in one hour we depart to get this exploration group home on time then come back here if they still need it."
"Aye aye sir. I'll send that along to both groups"

The intercept group 1 moved in to a close range on the unknown vessel awaiting a reply.

A deep space Blademasterian probe detected this interesting conversation, and began to transmit to unit 0001. The probe slunk forward, in stealth mode, and attached itself to the unidentified ship with a resounding bang, audible to those on board (OOC: i know what klonor ships are like, having been in the GA, so this is Kurai's ship its attaching to) The probe then hacked the ship's memory banks, and began copying any files relevant ot the civilization into its memory banks. when it was finished, it signaled a nearby FRG class, which jumped insystem, and began transmitting the following message in Kurai's language:

"Unidentified spacecraft, this is Space-Unit 1500, please respond."
(OOC: you can understand us, and we can understand you)

Question: How is your probe able to understand, or even physically connect to a completely alien computer system using a completely alien computer languange?

Answer: Blademasters, as you may or may not know is a collection of highly advanced AIs, and our Probes are highly resourceful, and designed to be able to interface with almost anything. Further Questions? TG me and I'd be happy to answer them.

ooc note i forgot to add this earlier. since my ships would have picked up the earlier transmissions between klonors and kurai nami's ship the onboard transloator would have sent my second transmission asking for you to identify yourself in your own language. and it would under stand you if you would reply. shouldve added thsi earlier but im sick so i forgot lol.

translator basic workings. it basically lines up unknown language with all known langauges looking for words that could mean the same. since i only need to ask for them to identify themselves it was easy. but to make converstaions would be really really hard for now.

OOC: Condidia, my translator didn't work, so it wouldn't have worked for you either. it works like you just said, but since this is a completely alien culture with absolutely no contact with humans, or A.I., before this they wouldn't have any words that mean the same as ours.

Blademasters, I still see some problems, but who cares? Could you send me over some data on their language?

The Probe transmits all language data that it has compiled to the GA vessel, partly out of respect for the peace kept between them, and partly because Unit 0001 told it to.

All the ships powered up their weapons and got locks on the target but stayed out of range with all weapons except the one cruiser.
"Prepare to fire on my command"

Alien vessels, we are approaching on a slow burn. To rendezvous with our primary contact (Klonor).

"Finally, we're getting somewhere. Radio back to Ross and tell them that we've contacted a new species, have them send out a cruiser or carrier to pick us up."

"No problem. What should we tell these guys?"

"Open the top hatch and bring them in. We invited them for drinks, and we have to keep them occupied until a diplomat or something gets here."

"Okay. I could use a good drink."

"Sorry, no dinking for you. You're on duty."

And this continues onward until the docking of the alien ship.

OOC: What do they look like? I know they're humanoid, but that only gives a general shape (two arms, two legs, a head, etc.) Any specifics? (Skin color, hair color, number of eyes, placement of mouth, etc.)

And these aren't military officers. They're GA personnell on a long distance patrol/scouting mssion. They mention it quite often.

ooc note- fredzillas are teh rejects of the godzilla movie and are ten times better oncei genetically altered them mwhahahahahahaha. this is just my little add on so they fit in ships. they can be normal size or normal comdidian size. (ranging from 6-8ft tall.) normal size is basiclly big. but they wont be in normal size till i have some ground war games. :) see you tempted me klonor. :lol: :twisted:

The first group pulled out as about three dozen ships ranging in classes and types came up to their location and stopped. These ones had a symbol on the side with a large Planet in crosshairs. The planet was painted orange and the crosshairs blue. But otehr then that no markings could trace them to the origin planet.

"Admiral we are prepared to launch."
"Are we close enough to the JP?"
"Yes."
"Jump now"

They entire exploration fleet and navy jumped to return home and then the navy would return here if the other units requested it.........

On board the FG Flagship Man Eater
"Sir we have visual on the ships"
"Bring up the alien ships but stay on low power"

OOC: Looks like humans, skin more tanned. And hair is usually long, eyes like human eyes but can shift. Depending on lighting

The probe disengages its mag-locks, and silently cruises away, back to the frigate, unnoticed.

*Asher thought they seemd friendly enough, and the captain had left her in charge.*

Blademasters *the foreign word rolled of her tounge with difficulty*, we are pleased. *More pleased than anyone would know*, you speak our language well. Look i don't know how one does meet aliens, as we are the first. So forgive any transgressions, we are not a ship of war.

The Blademasters frigate backs off, melding back into the shadows that are deep space, to observe.

One does encounter the strangest of things out here *Asher mutterd and tried to see where the ship whent*, i wonder if this will be the end of things. I can't think of anything stranger *sinking down in her seat, she slaved the radar to her con. This way she would'nt miss anything..*

As several sleek crusiers and destroiers along with two light carriers came out of jump space a distance from the scene they got a strange coded message from the lead FG vessel.
"This is commander Larg. We just picked several unknown ships near you but they disappaered as you left jump space and entered."
"Ok we will try and track."
"Captain could those be more alien craft?"
"Maybe but i doubt they are still here hiding"
The group moved slowly out to get long range sensors on the scene of the alien vessel and others.

Just as the Kuarai captain enters the patrol ship an Orion Destroyer, the GAD Galatea, leaps out of sub-space practically on top of them sending out greetings and bringing an Ambassador for the GA. The Patrol ship quickly lands and disembarks it's crew and the new passenger.

OOC:No Worries, i'm fighting the forum. So replies might suddenly take a lot of time

And an Orion probably would scare the s*** out of these people, it's a pretty big ship (2.1 kilometers. Imagine that staring right at you)

(OOC: klonor and his bigger is better philosophy... lol my biggest battleship is 1.5km long, and prolly better than your Destroyer, considering it can accelerate and maneuver at speeds rivaling corvettes, plus it packs one helluva punch)

The Blademasters Friagte takes in the Orion with its optical sensors, scanning the ship, and maneuvering towards the Kurai ship.

Unit 0003: "Klonor vessel, this is unit 0003, due to our recent bad relations, we would like to request permission to send an Avatar onboard to discuss terms of an alliance between ourselves and the Galactic Alliance."

Blademasters, I don't believe bigger is better. The Orion has to be big because the weapons it has are very big, and it doubles as a carrier. If you want it smaller you have less weapons (And look, that's what my cruisers and corvettes are!) and no smaller ships (then how would they get around?). And my ship is capable of going 1 ly a minute, are you saying that's not fast?

Trumpets sound (actually, they're recordings. But they sound authentic enough) And Amabassador kreen from the Galactic Alliance steps forward to the young captain.

"You are welcome to send an Avatar. We were good allies once, hopefully we can be again."

The Avatar deploys from one of the bays on the frigate, and acelerates towards the Orion's open hangar, Unit 0001 assuming control to conduct negotiations.

Unit 0001: "This is Unit 0001, requesting clearance to land."

OOC: 1 ly a minute Not second (if we could go 1 ly a second we could go really really fast)

"Unit 0001 you are given a Go to land in the aft docking bay. We apologise for this, but the alien captain is in the for and we'd like to keep from startling her, she seems really shaken up. Would you like a docking beam, or will you guide yourself in?"

OOC: I'll be really impressed when i ship goes at the speed of dark =)

*Cassandra jumped, her hand flew to the taser at her belt. But it stopped there and she hid her embaressment with a smile*

Thank you, we are suprised to find such activity so close to our home system. Mind if we ask why we have'nt heard from you?, we have listend for years. *Making big eyes at the Avatar*

Unit 0001: "Thank you for the offer, however I am fully capable of maneuvering this 1.5 meter unit into your bay, and we understand the Alien's fear, we will stay out of their way... for now."

The Avatar lands in the bay, rolls, and deactivates its boosters, then gets up, and walks to the hatch in one fluid motion. The Avatar then enters the aft section of the ship, to the suprise of the waiting crewmen.

EDIT: if she wants to encounter the Avatar now... okay

The avatar bows, and then straightens.

The Blademasters fleet moves to engage the two massive Impaler class Dreadnaughts, each measuring over 2.6 kilometers, and bristling with weaponry, they dwarfed the modern, fast AI ships.

The Two Impalers open fire on the smaller Blademasters fleet, but the AI controlled ships out-maneuver the Impaler's gunners, and then the AI ships open fire, their twin fusion cannons, and twin Gauss Cannons shredding the armor off of the Impaler

The Orion Destroyer takes the attack, maneuvering so that it falls on non-critical levels, recieving on superifical damage.

It then turns its starboard side toward the rbel ship and unleashes a full broadside. 3 Beam Cannons and 12 Laser Turrets all target in on the rebel ship, shooting around it and moving in to insure that it's boxed in and sliced to pieces

As he says this a wing of Ulysses fighters launch, escorting two wings of Medusa bombers. They all turn and head towards the rebel ship, arming their Tsunami bombs

The Impaler lashes out again as it is struck its final blow, the lack of repair on the AIs' part having done enough damage before it entered the fight. The other Impaler tried to come about to escape, when the bridge was raked by a Blademasters Fusion Cannon, killing the ship.

OOC: So both bad ships are dead now? Darn, The Medusas didn't even get to launch one Tsunami

OOC:The signal was boosted so it should'nt take that long, hazardous was only about 4 months out before meeting aliens. In NS time i'd say the transmission would'nt take long, but RL physics say it should. But do you really want to wait that long?, i say feel free to ignore physics :D

This one is more femmenine, taller, and is arme with a small laer cannon in its left arm. It promptly proceedes to the older Avatar.

That is something you will have to take up with the priests, as it's such a big issue. But i'm not counting it out, i'm sure their training could include diplomatic tasks. Cause before they stepped up and took the power, they where just priests.

*It takes about an hour for Hazardous to go thru the motions to land, on a military air strip. When she finally has rolled to a stop, the ground crew quickly surrounds the ship. While others speed to care for the Blademasters drop ship, in a hangar a small group waits anxiously for the Phage and Cassandra to approach..*

The Archangel class dropship, hot ont he tails of the hazardous drops out of the clouds, its Plasma jets burnign uriously, as it makes a vertical landing next to the hazardous. Phage steps out before the engines have finished shutting down, wearing a dark purple cloak, she strides towards the greeting party.

(OOC: I'm assuming your world has couds, otherwise it wouldn't be so impressive to see a ship as big as yours come bursting out of the clouds, and descend to the ground in a matter of seconds)
