TR-1500A2
http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Rifts/Rifts-Earth-Vehicles/British/British_Firefly_Expeditionary_Tank.gif
Using the same electronics and ERA as the TR-2000-A3 this tank is designed for rapid deployment and operation in difficult terrain(mountains). Also uses "Montgomery" armor, but in lesser amounts than the TR-2000-A3 along with a smaller turret and cannon to reduce weight. Armor protection is still better than that of the Abrams however. Good choice for recon or airborne units needeing armor protection.

Wheeled Combat Vehicles
The Wolverine Advanced Urban Combat Vehicle
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/vextra/images/vextra3.jpg
The Wolverine is an 8 wheeled AFV which was specially engineered for Urban Combat. With a relatively low weight of 29 tons and a 8x8 steering system it is very fast and agile. One of it's big advantages in urban combat scenarios is the fact that it can use it's advanced thermal imager to see through walls and rubble, reducing the likelyhood of an ambush. It can also see through street corners, enabling it to see other AFV's or tanks. The thermal imager provides a 360 degree view, has a range of almost 2km, and it's sensitivity is adjustable.
View from the TI:
http://www.sandberg.co.uk/spec/images/S280r04-1.jpg
The Wolverine also comes in several variants: Standard, APC, ADATS, ATGM, and Medivac. All version come with countermeasures for ATGM's and ERA plating overtop of their Montgomery armor.

But with the M-99 system you can easily fit 8 missiles on any tank, and you dont need to occupy valuble turret space with missiles. And not to mention the fact that you could potentialy fire off 9 rounds in the time it would take to fire 2.. hmmm

US live fire tests in 1996 showed no US 120mm rond could penetrate the T-90's armor.

Of course the T-90's gun cant penetrate Abrams either except from close range but abrams doesnt penetrate it period.

T-90 is still a "quanity" tank, T-80U was the "quality" tank.

T-80UM1 was a further upgrade of the T-80U, and it equips RUssias Elite Tank Divisions (whatever theyre called).

The Black Eagle 2's I use are also safe... namely the only thing that destroys them is a high speed triple charged warhead or missile, if its a miossile it also cant be guided by lasers and if its slow arena and drozd-M will kill it.

actually the TR-2000 is faster than an abrams, and the M1 is a total maintenance whore.

And the T-90 is basically a repackaged T-72 with a new name to sound modern with some new toys. I'd rather have a Leopard or Leclerc than a T-90.

We use Merkava MK4 as our primary MBT, but have a large fleet of M1A2 Abrams with our own domestically developed upgrades added. The reason being that the M1A2 is faster than any of the tanks you are selling, many of which are rather mediocre as MBTs go.
actually the TR-2000 is faster than an abrams, and the M1 is a total maintenance whore.

And the T-90 is basically a repackaged T-72 with a new name to sound modern with some new toys. I'd rather have a Leopard or Leclerc than a T-90.
T-90 has good armor tohugh.

We use exclusively domestic tanks ourselves...

As an aside, I don't think there is any tank gun in existance which can penetrate 1300mm of armor. Did you mean 130 (1300mm is 51 inches of armor!!)?

OOC: There is no shell, of any caliber, that can take out more than four feet of solid Chobham armor plate (except maybe one larger than 12 inches)! Unless you pack a nuclear weapon into a 135mm casing and launch that, what the hell sort of shell do you use?

Sorry not trying to be hostile, just understand. It sounds worse than I meant :x

Okay, the M1A2/C does not stand for M1A2/Crap. It stands for M1A2/Custom. Abrams against Leapord II's are just like diesel subs(whichwe also use) against nuclear.

Hah hah, you realise that a Diesel can beat the crap out of a Nuke sub in a Diesel's home waters?

In anycase, a Leo 2 is just as good as a M1A2, but in different area's.

I personally prefer custom Edolian weaponry but I would like to point out that every tank has virtually the exact same NBC protection. Actually I'm not 100% sure of that, however, I'm pretty much positive. And the nuclear protection doesn't extend all that far. Mostly it protects against radiation, not the actual blast. Perhaps it could protect the tank from a small bomb's shockwave but...

We of the USSS are greatly interrested in a tank "drone," so to speak. Would it be possible to order, customly, a number of tank "shells," fully armored and powered, but capable of being controlled by an outside source and lacking weapons and all the complicated electronics that raise prices so much? We would be happy to pay a premium, of course.

We must ask, it seems as if the TR-series tanks cannot penetrate their own armor with their cannon. Is that correct; it seems to run in the face of historic tank development. Also we are a bit confused with the use of the word "armor;" we assume that the TR has the equivilant of 1600mm of steel plate, not that it actually has five feet of Chobham, right?

We apologise for our ignorance, just wishing to clear up some items.

OOC: The M1 Abrams is just as good as the Black Eagle or T-94 or any real-life made tank. They can all kill the other with a single shot, pretty much no matter where it hits. It just all comes down to superiority of electronics, which in the real world works in favor of the US; in Nationstates God only knows. Also I personally do not understand the fuss about reactive armor -- most countries have switched to sabot ammunitions, which ERA doesn't protect very much against, and it adds literally tons of weight, if you cover the whole thing.

Not meaning to be annoying, but isn't 50 tons a bit light for the TR-2000? The Abrams weights 60+ tons, depending on type, and the TR seems a fair bit beefier, ya know. ;)

OOC: Impressive. I hadn't heard of that...

Of course the USSS' MBT of choice uses HEAT rounds, which can be engineered around ERA with some mad engineering skillz (multiple-warhead stuff that most countries can't even build).

We would like some armored tank hulls so that we can fully test the effectiveness of our new tanks. Besides, the crews need something real, and really moving, to shoot at if they're going to get better.

The Kingdom of Free Rumania is a huge, economically powerful nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 368 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The large, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Defence, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Information Technology.

Education and welfare spending are on the rise, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and organ donation is compulsory. Crime is a serious problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Free Rumania's national animal is the fox, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the lei.

Free Rumania is ranked 1st in the region and 3,733rd in the world for Largest Furniture Restoration Industry.

5,000 Leopard 2 S. We will wire 2.25 billion USD wired now. Dont deliver them to Bonstock. For each tank, 4 crew members, 4 infantry, and 8 engineers/support personnel will be going to Rumania, and will drive them into the Ukraine. Can you include 500 gas trucks and 500 ammo trucks? This is sort of an emergency.

Bonstocknian commercial flights are now carrying 80,000 personnel to Free Rumania to drive the tanks to Ukraine.
