3) I concur we ought not of bailed them out, and I don't like that we did. However I liked the alternative somewhat less, as subsistence farming wasn't amusing when I was a lad and I doubt it's become more fun.

But there are many ways to achieve a more equal distribution of wealth; outright socialism (public ownership of the means of production) is just one. Obama, as far as I can tell, advocates raising taxes somewhat on the rich, lowering them on the middle classes, and expanding government health care programs to cover more people.... how are any of these proposals "socialist"? They are a far cry from even what other more or less capitalist Western democracies do on the other side of the Atlantic.
