The Cat-Tribe posted, denying being Free Soviets' puppet. At least that's how I remember it. It was three posts down from Free Soviets' claim (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13197858).

Then TCT deleted that post, which according to rules prevailing at that time amounts to a retraction.

Therefore Free Soviets' claim goes back in the list. Absurd though that sounds.

You have already contributed to this thread, and to the development of the method, although being asked to consider corner cases which seemed to be presented more to make me give up than to improve the method was not much appreciated at the time.
It saddens me to see that you appear to think that I asked those questions in order to "make you give up". I didn't; I asked from a personally relevant perspective.

If you want to make a claim to a puppet, go right ahead. If you want to challenge one or two particularly egregious cases, go right ahead.
I'll select the few instances in your OP I wouldn't want to challenge sometime later, yes.
If you can think of some method (other than a pogrom) of challenging claims of "no puppet" please do say.
That's not my problem; the problem I see is with people wildly claiming any account in reach to be theirs, and admittedly having a huge ball playing around with you here. It seems the rules have changed... I would like to make a retraction. While I use Farflorin for II if I mention any odd techs, I don't post with any other nation on NSG. Further, the other puppets of mine mentioned were never used to post to NSG, except for Kutou-koku, which I did use. The others I merely inherited from friends but let die.

Dor Cirion, Brycovia and Zekegard were never used for posting. I think I used Kutou-koku once in NSG, but mainly in II when I declared war on myself.

I don't think you did misread. I simply didn't say what I meant by "puppet."

I assumed that when posters say "puppet" they mean an account used to post on NSG incognito.

That's the only meaning I knew. Every time I'd seen the word used, it was in connection with trolling or some kind of teasing.

(Misunderstanding from a lack of commonly agreed terms is fairly endemic on NSG I think. Some people play it up, for fun.)

Once I realized the word "puppet" had a wider meaning, I editing in the Orchid bit on the second line of the OP.

The OP has information in it which I didn't provide. I just "copied it up" there. When you quoted the OP, you quoted stuff that other posters might have later asked to be changed.

Ironically, since snarking you (the first time) for quoting the OP, I actually referred to your post to see an earlier version of the OP.

I still think it was a kinda dumb thing to do -- if someone had taken the thread seriously enough to complain to a mod about one of the claims in the OP, and that claim had been in when you quoted the OP, there would be more mod-work to do.

You could have quoted the OP but snipped out the information which wasn't "mine" (just leaving the first three lines, for instance.) You might want to consider doing that in other threads too, particularly when the OP is very long.

I made a claim that HC Eredivisie is my puppet. Why is it not on there?

Fortunately my parents didn't buy a computer until Windows 95 was available so never had to deal with such monstrocities. Did learn keyboarding though on old Apples using DOS and monster floppy disks to save our keyboarding assignments on. Why we were stuck using those antiques was beyond me when there was a perfectly modern lab down the hall.

Its amazing how you could screw things up if you didn't type in your commands perfectly. I would like to take this moment to think Bill Gates as our savior and declare Steve Jobs as the devil.
