"Sorry, kind of in a hurry." He raced to his room and pulled out the case that had once held his sniper rifle, he quickly flicked it open and pulled out the nine extra clips, then rummaged through his bags. Sure enough, there it was. He pulled out an SMG, smaller then the usual standards, but still fit for use. He un folded then folded the stock again and grabbed two clips, he could find more ammo on the way. He went into the bar and saw Martin staring off into the wall. "Guess I owe you an explination, huh?"
Martin frowned at Ed. "Yeah, you could say that."
he sighed. "it'll have to wait. I need to be gone from this place for now."
He stood up and walked through the bar and out the back door.

Ed shrugged then tapped the bar. Grim appearead, shotgun in hand. "Grim, I need you to barricade the door when I leave." Grim laughed. "Was just about to do it myself, good luck out there." Ed turned and headed for the door, pushing it open and stepping back out into the street. When he stepped out onto the main street it looked drastically diffrent, appearently his actions had sparked a riot among the civilians, which turned into armed rebellion against the Imperialists. He shrugged this was the perfect time to get to his target. He pulled out a photo and tapped it. Thought you could hide here being a crime lord, eh? Not gonna happen. He set off for the Governmental building as fast as he could.
Boys and their toys.
*Ju wheeled the snack tray and coffee (and tips from the officers that were kind enough to leave some) into the bar and closed the door.*
Grim, I suspect we'll have some violent visitors soon... you might want to find some cover.
*with that, Ju places a crystal-like sheild and saber behind the bar and sits on a stool... waiting.*

I'll get that Grim... you see to the back door and wind... on second thought, I'll take care of the windows also.
*after Ed leaves, Ju reinforces the windows with hardened sugar crystals. then he sits by the door. waiting for the inevitable response.*

Ed turned a corner and found himself face to face with someone from his past. "Cody?" Ed said. "Eddie?" Coyd replied. "Thought you were dead." "Thought you were dead to." Cody laughed. "Faked my death, better then being hounded by the imps for the rest of my life." Ed oooked behind him, several emmebrs of the resitance were obviously under his command. "So you started it, eh?" Said Ed. "What the resistance? Yeah, least I could do to get back at the bastards." Cody shrugged. "Haven't seen any of the other marines in a long time, you know what happened to them? Ed shook his head. "All of them were hunted down and killed by the imps. Far as I know, your the only one left." Cody looked down then back up. "Anything my ragtag fighting force can do for you sir?" Ed laughed. "Haven't heard anything like that in a while, my target is in the governmental palace, i believe he was the one who brought the imperialists to this world. Going to stage an assualt on it, you in?" Cody noded. "You bet, anything to get the bastard that started this mess here." He looked back over his shoulder. "All right, form up and follow Liutenet Harrison, and don't get yourself shot!"

Squorn walked around the corner, heading for Grim's when, for the second time in as many nights, he was surprised to see a large police prescence just outside the tavern. There were two more chalk outlines on the ground.
Quickly walking up to the barroom door, he found that it was blocked from the inside.
What the hell?
Wanting to get inside and away from the eyes of police, he banged hard on the door, glancing nervously over his shoulder.
ooc: First of all, since when has Grim been brave? Second of all, what are soldiers doing on an international transport stop?
ic: Noire made for the tavern through the dark night, running, and ran right into Squorn. "OH, GOD! Sorry, didn't see you there..." she gestured at the seemingly militarial men outside the tavern. "What the fuck are these things doing here? Isn't this an international transport stop? Aren't all militarial figures banned from every country represented in 098?"

Squorn nearly jumped out of his skin.
"Noire! Don't go sneaking up on me like that!"
He took a moment to catch his breath and replied, "Things have just gone to hell the past few days. This Ed person showed up and dead policemen have started piling up outside the tavern. He keeps going on about 'The Imperialists' or something like that. We need to get the word to the governors that some military force is trying to take over here."
Noire nodded, "You should take care of that, I have some work to see to. I'll be around later."
With that she jogged off down the alleyway and disappeared around the corner.
Squorn nodded, "See ya," before turning back to the door.
"Grim!" he shouted, "You open this fucking door! It's gonna be unpleasant if I have to come in through the window."
ooc:UHC/Ed, we need to talk about the directions you're trying to take this thread in. When KJ and I started this place we were not intending it to become an RP of a war. We don't want to completely ignore your contributions, you've obviously got enthusiasm, but we need to discuss plotlines and such.

"He must be hiding in the kitchen," Squorn muttered after a minute or two more of waiting. He moved to a spot where a neon sign and some features on the facade of the Tavern helped hide him from the view of the police and, after removing his boots and socks, tying the laces together and draping them over his neck, he began to climb. It wasn't too difficult, and soon he had arrived at the upstairs window.
He crouched on the sill, holding himself steady with one hand while the other dug through his toolkit for what he needed. Using a very sharp knife, he carefully scored the glass in a small circle, maybe twice the diameter of a circle. After a few times running the blade around the circular groove, he was able to push the small piece in, where it clattered to the floor. Then it was a simple matter of reaching his finger in and unlatching the window, which slid up easily, allowing him inside.
Once in, he found the piece of glass and, going to his toolkit once again, carefully glued it back in place, before closing and relatching the window. Then he allowed himself to make as much noise as he liked, stomping downstairs to berate Grim for failing to let him in.

IC: (This IC takes place after the thread above, so don't worry about war.)
Ed came back in, bloody, battered and overjoyed. "It worked. They're gone." he sat at the bar and ordered himself a double whiskey, and then held it up in a toast. "To those of you who helped defend this safe haven in a time of crisis!" He took one sip and feel over, whether he was dead or unconcious, no one knew. Grim jumped over the bar immideatly, med kit in hand. "Blimey, he needs a hospital.!" Grim looked at the sad state Eds body was in, several bullet wounds oozed blood, shrapnel stuck out from several places and he had a long gash across his face. "C'mon, does anyone here know anything about medical treatment?!"

OOC: As of now I'm officialy dropping out of this RP.
IC: Grim bent over Eds chest, straining to hear a heartbeat. Not a beat could be heard. Grim sighed and stood up. " He's dead."
ooc: First of all, since when has Grim been brave? Second of all, what are soldiers doing on an international transport stop?wouldn't that be Intergalactic? or Interplanetary? and they could be on R&R :p
IC: Ju woke up and looked outside. the streets were clear and the police, obviously done with their investigation, had left.
"so... will this be business as usual? or Business as Unusual?"
Ju sat down on Noire's couch, reached between the cushions and pulled out her book.
hmm... her tastes have gotten better... He begins to read and in a moment, is back fast asleep.

Sam walked over to Grim.
"Need a hand with that?" She looked down at the body emotionlessly, then at Grim. "Anywhere you want him in particular?"
She paused as she collected her thoughts, then said, "Look. The number of stiffs I've already seen in this joint is a bit... shall we say... excessive? Seems to me you could use someone around to keep an eye on things, toss any trouble out the door before we get to gunplay, knifeplay and beating-people-over-the-fucking-head-with-a-musical-instrument play."
She shrugged. "What d'ya say? If you need someone bounced like a basketball, I'm your gal."

"Mold? No. And no, we're not having meat pies for dinner, either." She leaned in close, and said quietly, "Incinerator."

Settling down in his usual spot at the bar, he ordered a black russian and yawned. It was nice for things to be back to normal.

Sam stretched. Things seemed quiet enough now... a few people drinking at the bar...
She tensed when the man who called himself Martin the Tumbler pounded on the bar angrily, but soon realized that whatever he might have ON him, he didn't seem ready. Still, she kept an eye and an ear on what was going on near the bar.
She'd had enough messes for one day.

The figure clad all in black strolled down one of Briisan's many back allies as the rain poured down. His hard leather boots impacting the pavement, and the jingle of the coins in his money satchel could be heard echoing off the walls of the buildings around him. As he passed between two more buildings moonlight momentarily highlighted his features:the scar that went down his brow, skipped over his left eye, and finished on his cheeks, the small stubble of hair on his chin, the light brown hair cropped short. His body was cased in a large leather trenchcoat, buttoned up against the cold and on his right shoulder shown an emblem of the Pathfinder Guild. Most people on this side of the galaxy would never have heard of them. This particular bounty hunter had traced a con worth over 200 million scripts to this small city. He needed a place to fit in and build a cover.
As the bounty hunter headed for the street, movement caught the corner of his eye. Quickly reacted, and teh sounds of wrist bones snapping echoed up the ally. Sighing he popped the beggars bones back into place with one deft motion, and left dropped a few coins for the ghastly creature that now cowered from him. He muttered a quick and unfelt appology and head out to the busy streets. Some where his prey was here, and he would be caught soon. But first the bounty hunter needed a place to stay.
Casually he walked up teh street looking into shops and resteraunts trying to look inconspicuous. Finally he came to another side of the city where skyscrapers lined the streets. He wandered a bit more and thats when he saw it. A swinging sign over a door on a small building that read: Grim's Tavern. Quickly he made up his mind, and ducked inside.

Martin glanced quizzically over at this newcomer, dressed all in black. The man saw him, so he smiled slightly and made a welcoming gesture.
"Hello, and welcome to Grim's Tavern." He said, his voice rolling and seeming too loud in the near-empty bar. "I am Martin the Tumbler, at your service."

OOC: off to bed yall be back tomorrow
Jaaneeb slid his way into the tavern, stepping over litter and drunks. The noise from the idle banter in the bar drowned out his thoughts. "This place is too active for me" He said to himself. He rounded himself and began to head back to the entrance, when a tiny voice caught his ear.
"Why are you leaving?" The voice questioned "The night is young, and you have just arrived here"
He turned quickly to catch sight of a young, human woman. She was beautiful for a human. Honey coloured skin, coal black hair, and a face that radiated seduction.
"Come, have a seat" she said motioning to the empty seat across the table.
Reluctantly, the quiet Albersine made his way to the table. Being the typical Albersine, Jaaneeb got quite the stare from people every where he traveled.
Dark green in skin colour, towering well above most humans, his people were nicknamed 'tree people'. As innocent as the term may seem, it was one that caused much hate in this Albersine's heart.
He neared the table, but then stopped. The echo of a snicker rang loud in his ears.
"Hay tree man!" a drunk mocked "Innit time fer ya to 'leaf'?" This comment sent the corner of drunks into a fit of hysterical laughter. Their laughs rumbled loud in the small tavern. His anger rumbled louder in his heart. A shrill, straight from the pits of hades, escaped his lips as he lunged towards the intoxicated fools.
The barkeep sighed and thought to herself, as she pushed the security bell "This is going to be a long night".
A long night it was, indeed...

Sounds of the tavern had picked up some, but not much. Some drunks were making a rable at one corner, of the tavern, and had seemed to be gawking to rather tall Albersine sitting at a table at the end of the bar. Suddenly one of the drunks had called out and Draconis inhaled sharply. Albersines never did like being called trees. The mans green skin had turned a rather darkshade, and Draconis could clearly see violence in the future.
He nodded to the Man named Martin and said right before finishing his drink in one sip. "It seems i'm about to meet one right now." He then turned just intime to grab the Albersine by the front of his shirt as he lept by, stopping him in his tracks, and pulling him around.
"Let it go son, he's just a drunken fool, its not worth someone getting killed over. Sit down and let me buy you a drink."

Samantha moved, and with surprising grace, she slid between the tall green man and the table full of fools. She didn't seem particularly worried about the relative differences in height as she placed herself and put a hand -- lightly but firmly-- on the bar. Hope he hasn't lost it completely yet, else this gets messy.
"Is there a problem?" she growled, glaring at the table of revelers.

"A week of searching, and I'm no closer to my goal than I was when I started. And I keep having little...incidents... that leave me a little bit weary."
Martin finished off his whiskey and reached for the bottle. The sleeve of his shirt pulled back a little from his wrist and a thick, bloodstained bandage was visible for a moment. Then the sleeve dropped back into place as Martin drew the bottle towards him. He opened it easily and filled his glass to the brim.

"I wouldn't know about that...so-called intelligent life has always seemed plentiful wherever I go. And yet so very few beings can truly think. So few of them realize how powerful they are. they are senseless, and stupid, so involved in their own personal conflicts, never stopping to think..I hate them. I almost cannot bear to look at them."

The he pounded the bar in front of him, and the whiskey bottle was sitting, full, near his hand. He slid it towards Kreig wordlessly.
Krieg raised an eyebrow. "Nice parlor trick" he drank another long draft from the bottle.

'Who do I have to see about getting a room around here?' she enquired.
"No one. Just sign your name on the clipboard next to an untaken room, and pick up the key," said Martin, waving towards the stairs and the rack of keys next to the clipboard.

"And you as well, miss...I don't think I caught your name, actually..."
