So the meet was a blast for me. :) I discovered pear cider is a wonderful thing and enjoyed seeing the difference between the 2 meets. The British guys were all hooligans.

And about the... "goodies". TG and I were sitting quietly at Stafford station when a lady walked up and handed us 2 goodie bags each. We took them, stuffed them in our bags and didn't look at them until the train. We found in each one: 1 condom, 1 alcohol wipe, 1 normal wipe, 1 packed of sweet chili dipping sauce, 1 fruit bar, and 1 advertising piece of paper. We ate the bars and ignored the rest. Until I got to the meet, went to take out the banana bread and realized all that crap was in there too, so I dumped it on the table. And the guys had a field day with it. :p Although for some reason they objected to me trying to get a condom packet to stay in my hair....

So apparently TG and I *did* have a last train. And we missed it from Birmingham. So we ended up in a Comfort Inn overnight across the street from the train station. Only redeeming factor was a huge bathtub with lovely hot water.

Oh, and pics will be up... sometime soon. I have a huge number from my 4 weeks of travel, but I'll try to get the meet ones up decently quickly. :)

It's a hard life. That meant I had to have shandy instead of proper beer later!
She did say the US meet was fairly sober. "It was in a restaurant", she protested, as if that were any kind of excuse.
(Or isn't getting rat-arsed over dinner the Done Thing there..?)

My hand writing is terrible, and this seems to be the most amusing meet.

I had my curry on Sunday and Monday. And it was really lovely. Especially since a) TG had no food and b) I was in Crewe for about an hour and a half.
