lol, you think "latina" is an ethnicity!? Latinas/Latinos can be European, Native American, African, and everything imbetween. Technically Quebecouis are Latin - all it means is that you live in the western hemisphere and speak a language descended from Latin. Nothing more.

I really am not sure what it is about women that attracts me; I have been equally attracted bu tall women, short women, dark women, light women, large breasted women, small breasted women, etc. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Except that I like open, extroverted, clever athletic women.

The poll was configured to include all people of very similar culture into each option so that I could fit everyone in the world into the ten options available. If you showed me a typical North American, I probably wouldn't be able to tell you whether she was from Canada or the US, so I lumped them into one option. However, I could almost certainly tell the difference between a typical North American and a Western European, so I made Western European a different group. If you showed me just a typical Western European though, I probably wouldn't be able to tell you which country they were from (unless they were British. The Brits are pretty different from the rest of Western Europeans, but again, I didn't have enough options), but I could differentiate between that person and a Scandinavian or an Eastern European. The same thing goes for every other option I have there.

But that doesn't mean you can't call "American" (or "White American", if you prefer) an ethnicity, since that group clearly falls under the above definition. The same goes for all of the other options I have listed. So yes, they are in fact ethnicities. The reason I divided them in that way is because "Caucasian" is far too general for me. Scandinavians, for example, look and act very differently from Americans, so I put them in their own group. Yes, I could probably have further divided most of the options I have there, but I didn't have the room.

I can't begin to say how much i dislike the stereotyping behind this thread. Even positive stereotypes are damaging, because it hurts people who can't live up to the false standard set by the stereotype. I think that women should be judged based on the individual, not where they come from or what race/ethnicity they are.

At the risk of repeating what someone else might have said (because I haven't bothered reading :p ) the girls that are most attractive are the ones I'm attracted to.

Really, that's all there is to it.

There's no rule of thumb. I'll tell myself that I'm into brunettes, and fall head over heels for a redhead. Personality means pretty much everything.

Seeing as "somewhat sociable nerd" isn't on the list, I'll have to vote for the mixing pot that is "American".

Asians are by far the hottest, no one else even come close. Fortunately for me, right now I am surrounded by them:D And judging by the poll most agree with me.

But when discussing the merits of hotness (and leaving out the many other qualities a woman may have), those are the main two areas that come to mind. Actually I know it's a big mess...Geographically you are right, but Denmark is counted due to historic, cultural, linguistic, etc... reasons. When people use the term correctly, they dont mean Iceland neither, not just Finland. But people rarely use it correctly, and usually use it interchangingly with nordic. Foreigners got no clue anyways. Besides, when you say nordic, many also understand dutch, north germans, etc...not just people of countries of nordic council...

I think the single hottest woman on the face of the planet--to me, anyway--would be a college age Japanese with silky, raven-black hair, a face just bursting with cuteness, green eyes, glasses, somewhat ample bosum--not too large, not too small, but just right--wearing a green fuku(that's what the school-girl uniforms are called, correct?) holding a couple books in one arm.
