Not so. I found out later (3 days later in fact), from a mutual best friend who used to be my ex's housemate, that she was just wanting to leave me to stew for a while and change my mind in the process (her usual method, as normally I would go crawling back. Not so this time). She was shocked that I actually did it. *Shrug*

I missed putting a :p smilie at the end of the other post. The implication itself is a bit obvious, I was just doing faux shock. Since I haven't read this thread really, is there anything showing this guy's a dick other than the righteous indignation that attractive people should be banned from seeing the fugly (such as myself), or indeed that he classes himself as far more attractive that your average clod (quite a feat of vanity in itself)?

The classification of myself as fugly was my own doing - I've got a bit of the great English self deprecation goin on. That and a crippling lack of self confidence. As for the classification of yourself as attractive, that's implied by your op - "Why do beautiful girls date ugly guys" suggests that your ex used to date attractive guys, namely you. Either that, or this whole thread was pointless.

I think they were early ninties books. A lot of the stories seemed to be about it being a former Bloc city.

well it is common male instint to think that you ex's new bf is ugly. we all think that. girls we do but we don't tell you that. for example i resently broke up with my gf. she likes this other guy (and i want to beat the shit out of him because of it) but me and my friends say he's ugly and she says he is'nt.
