I live around hispanics every day, not just American hispanics, but hispanics from all over South and Central America. None of them have ever called a non blonde Rubia. Actually, if you want to convince me, show me a source that hispanics or spaniards call non-blondes rubias. Do it.

Light of hair, still...compared to the black Indian, or African hair that many mestizos have. Heck, I get called rubia, and my hair is as dark as yours!!! But you Spaniards are generally more of a mixed lot...there are fair-skinned latinos in the upper social echelons (usually directly descended from Spaniards, or from other European stock), but for the most part, many Latin American countries are faily homogenous, and anything that varies really sticks out and gets commented on.
