I had actually started writing this post before your shameless bump! (Just got a little sidetracked...)

So there!

My first gf was 5ft 2 and a half (she always said the half was important :D ), and she has since said that she prefers tall guys. I'm 6ft 1 so that was ok for her. I think it was because that she wanted to feel protected by her bf and being tall made her feel that. Kissing wasn't a problem either.

Hint: Being horizontal helps :D

My second gf was 6ft 1 too, she wasn't too bothered about the height although she found that guys frequently felt uncomfortable with a girl who was taller than them, which made her self concious.

That said though, most (although by no means all) girls who have actually talked about it with me say they prefer taller, stronger guys.

Maybe. Wouldn't suprise me in the least if that was the case. But how do men choose who they go after?

Pesonally I try to go for girls who show intelligence, a good sense of humour and also good self confidence. I've also had the good fortune to meet girls like this :D

But as well as this, I want someone who can take care of me and help me. I've got an atrocious memory, I often say things before I think of what they could mean and I need guidence in my work. Luckily my current gf and my first one both fulfilled those all those aspects.

Well, being over 5'8" (5'9" and up) isn't always so great. Yeah, it's pretty funny to be taller than most of the people in my town, but day-to-day things can be frustrating.

Next to nothing is made for people who are anything above average in size. Cars don't have even close to enough leg room for me, bath tubs are too small, kitchens aren't big enough, and I can't really even fit on my toilet.

I was lucky, I've got an old Volvo (440) which was made with tall people in mind and my parents have got a second hand A-Class, but it's one with a long wheel base, so both myself and my brother (6ft 1 and 6ft 3 respectively) actually have leg room in the back.

Compared to the old micra that was my first car, they are Sahara sized in the back and front.

But agreed on the bath and kitchen thing, there is never enough room!!! :( Tis such a pity, i love cooking, but not in a cramped room with cupboards low enough to whack my head on :(

But the toilet?!?!

Oh...and it's only murder standing in heels because the soles are thin and lack any padding. Standing on the pencil-thin heel isn't a problem. They hold.

Don't. Being short is nothing to be worried about :D You'll be able to have baths without not being able to fit in the damn thing. You can sit in cars with no worries about leg room, not to say aircraft where my knees regularly make nice dents in the chair in front. After I screwed the ligaments in my left knee, I need to sit on the right side of the centre corridor so I can stretch me legs :(

I prefer a guy to be taller than me. Which is usually the case since I'm 5'4". Most guys are taller than that. Not saying I wouldn't date a guy my height, or shorter. I don't think height necessarily equates success with anyone or anything.

I'm a pretty short girl, and I've been successful in about anything I've ventured into. It's because I've been trained since I was little to have a strong work ethic. I try, so I do, and I've been the recipient of several awards, including the acheivement of graduating magna cum laude in a couple of days.

My b/f is decently tall. 6'1". He isn't successful. It's because he's lazy. He's not graduating HS on time (if he's gonna manage at all), because he can't discipline himself to do the paper work. He just wants to be a mechanic.

So...height might help, but it's effort that makes the real difference.

What makes you think my shoes had thick soles? I got a good sticking on more than one occasion. I wore my soles cardboard thin. You ever try stopping a tack with cardboard? It's a lot more resistant than rubber at the same thickness. But really I was talking about stepping on glass. Gravel hurts until you get used to it. You just have to make a conscious effort of it.
