Are you a virgin? (anonymous poll, be honest) - Page 2

But if a gay guy never had sex, wouldn't he be considered a virgin?

If a gay guy was having sex, he could no longer be a virgin. Sex, which is a colloquial form of sexual intercourse is defined as: "sexual union between a male and a female by the vagina, usually resulting in ejaculation by the male".

Therefore it is impossible for male homosexuals to have sex with each other - thus they cannot lose their virginity unless they decide to put their penis in a vagina.

Well I do not normally speak about this, but as you are all complete strangers whom I have no trust in whatsoever, I suppose I can. I seem to have a significant fear of physical contact with other people.

I assume you have spoken with a psychologist about that ? There is a variety of well known possible causes; and maybe it can be remedied.

Thanks, in all honesty the thought never even crossed my mind. This is pretty much the only time I have ever spoken of it, and only now because I have no idea who any of you are and it was pertinent to the question, so when all the negative 'OMG what a freak' reactions do start coming in I won't be particularly bothered. I don't think I would be comfortable talking about it in person with anybody, least of all somebody with the power to have me committed. But, it may be something I have to consider, especially as it can have implications for your overall health as well as just being thoroughly depressing.

They don't actually have the power to commit you to any sort of institution, least of all for a condition where you're not actually any harm or liability to others whatsoever. It might just be an obsessive/compulsive thing which can in most cases be effectively treated with medication and can even be absolved without it. :)

Good lord...I go to bed after posting in a relatively silly thread, and I wake up and it's covered in menstrual blood, feces, and unmitigated rage.

This'll teach me not to go to bed. (Or at least not to check back on threads that still exist from the night before.)

I don't consider myself to be a virgin, but apparently I am by the definitions of some people. Ah, well, I guess I'll always remain a virgin, by their definitions.

noone said that "virginity" has a norm. it doesnt, clearly. for me to lose my virginity i need to have sex with a womans vagina. for you you have two virginities in the sense that you take on both sexual roles. your anus becomes your vagina, kind of a fucked up concept dont ya think. so i guess it all depends on what kind of faggot you are, if youre the doughnut puncher, then youre virginity is the same as mine, if youre a wide reciever, then your virginity takes on that role of the female. ive never heard of there being an oral virgin, but then whatever, powere to you, when we all have that one.Folks, for all of you paying attention, this is what Fass meant when he said that homosexual sexual relations are given heterosexist labels.

For your benefit, Crucio Homines, this translates to: when two men have anal sex, neither of them takes "the role of the female."

and not to spike another debate, but were not animals, were human beings. Then we don't need to worry about having "natural" sex, then do we?

"Virginity" is a heterosexist construct designed to perpetuate female subservience and religious dogma.

I very much wish I'd said, "Yes it is. Deal with it."

But I'm really more the type to deny the existence of implication generally.

Say that to my gay couple friends who have children. Heterosexuality is in no way a requirement for procreation. Do they not teach you about the birds and the bees in schools where you live?

I'm not saying that heterosexuality is recquired in any way, as there are, quite frankly, a whole lot of problems in that mindset (sex for recreation for instance). Now, chances are everyone will dissagree with me on this, but sex's only useful purpose is the furtherment of the species, and any sexual act without that purpose (99.9%) has no use aside from entertainment, which is a waste of energy, time, resources, and it also limits productivity. Naturally, this is generally a larger problem with the heterosexual mindset, but since the gay mindset does not accomplish that original task, it is useless. I do not mean to offend, but those are the simple and basic facts, even by evolutionary standards.

(Since those with the Gay mindset cannot reproduce without going counter to that mindset, and artificial insemination is unnatural and thus counterproductive, it is a parasitic mindset, and converts others to itself since it cannot do such on its own. I do not mean to offend, but this the truth.)

So? Sex has many uses - procreation is something heterosexuals seem to value about it, even if in most cases nowadays, only perhaps two or three of the thousands of times they have it result in it. IMHO, a very flimsy foundation to use as justification for one's sexuality, and attempted diminution of someone else's. Again, so? A baby is the result anyway. Sex has other uses and other justifications.

I refer to post #274.

Did you just assert that entertainment is a waste of time, energy, resources, and it limits productivity?

I'd need some data before I'd accept the fourth point, but the first three seem to rest on some pretty arbitrary value judgements.

Thanks to modern medicine virginity is almost 100% curable by age 25.

Outside of StarWars fans of course.

Even there it approaches an 80% cure rate with proper therapy and support groups.

It is diminished through the concept of virginity. That it is something she should keep. Something that she "loses." She doesn't gain a sex life, she loses "purity." It's a very misogynistically applied idea, not to mention religiously co-opted.

It doesn't apply outside of heterosexism at all, as I showed and said. It's silly within heterosexuality, and untenable outside it.
Im I the only one where this actually makes sense?
